Brief Written Description:
Lou holds her shoulders high and her chin up, wearing her favorite leather jacket and moss-green tank top, paired with jeans and horse-riding boots. She likes to be comfortable, so the jeans are a little on the loose side, but she likes to be stylish, too. Whenever she changes, the only thing she manages to keep on is her tank top, so it makes for an eventful human transformation, and a huge shopping bill. Her hair is always brushed and neatly fluffed so it falls just past her shoulders, and she only applies two coats of mascara to her already long and thick eyelashes. On a good day when her pack goes in to town, she'll give herself some pearl eyeshadow and maybe some eyeliner, but only on a good day.

Digging A Little Deeper

Quirks and Faults
She loves boys, and she loves to party. Not saying that she's bad at her job, because she's a damn good Sentinel, but if one of her packmates that she didn't feel too brotherly about came up to her and kissed her, let's just say her eyes wouldn't necessarily be on her surroundings. As for the partying, anywhere there's booze, music, and dancing, that's where Lou is at. She never misses a good party, even if it means leaving her post to do it.

Dreams
Lou dreams of being the savior. She knows that with the war brewing between the two packs and the human town caught in the middle of it, there's going to be casualties. Lou wants to be the one to save everyone, and get all the glory. Even if she knows everyone will always look to the alpha for the solution.

Fears
Lou is seriously afraid of commitment. She's only been in one serious relationship back in high school and ever since then everything has just gone awry. She believes in quick flings without the diamond rings. Nothing more, everything less.

Strengths
Observance: What makes Lou a good Sentinel is her ability to always stay observant to her surroundings. Well...some of the time. As mentioned above, she sometimes gets a little distracted...

Fearlessness: Lou is absolutely entirely physically fearless. She will jump off a cliff on a dare, play bait for a rabid moose, even distract a couple humans so her pack can get in or something else of the nature. Besides emotional commitment, Lou isn't afraid of anything.

Weaknesses
Emotions: Lou hates emotions because they get in the way of everything and she would much rather live on the wild side than settle down. She hates to cry, especially in front of other people, and sees any sign of emotion as a sign of weakness.

Chocolate: Lou never resists a good chocolate-cream pie...

Personality
|Reckless, Witty, Protective, Vain, Caring|

Lou is a reckless and impulsive person. She enjoys partying, drinking, and boys, often getting herself and others into trouble just for fun. Although she is somewhat flirty with other males, and would make out with those who caught her eye, she is not necessarily promiscuous, considering she has remained a virgin until now. Whenever she hooks up, she firmly states that she is not having sex. Lou also holds very little respect for authority figures, except her alpha, since she doesn’t really have a choice. But in regards to her beta, the word there is a little…flexible…in Lou’s eyes. Lou can also be somewhat violent towards those who antagonize her. She has a reputation among some for being someone who you did not want to pick a fight with. Basically, Lou is not all talk: not only can she shoot out hilarious and seething comebacks, but she packs a mean punch.

However, Lou has the ability to become much more grounded and responsible when the pack’s safety is in question. She thinks through her actions, in contrast to her usually reckless self, shedding some of that old impulsiveness. She finds most things to be useless information unless they teach her how to become a better Sentinel. Despite this, she still uses what most call "Lou-logic". Lou-logic mostly just entails trying to find loopholes in everything in order to rationalize doing something unreasonable, or when Lou tries to justify something that makes little sense. Even when Lou is irrational and reckless, she has a very strong sense of duty to her pack. As most would say, she understands her duties better than most pack members twice her age and experience.

Lou has very powerful protective instincts, helping her greatly in her job as Sentinel. She cannot stand to sit back and see people get hurt, always trying to do something to help wherever possible, even if for a complete and total stranger. She is extraordinarily devoted to helping innocent people and protecting her pack. She most often is protective towards her alpha and beta, though she will protect her other packmates as well in a threat.

Lou can be very sarcastic and sharp-tongued at times. She always has a smartass comment ready whenever someone says something antagonistic to her, and always bites back with a witty insult. She doesn't hesitate to speak her mind, and can be extremely stubborn in her opinions. When challenged,, she shows almost childish insolence by intentionally doing the opposite of what she is told.

Although Lou is not necessarily conceited, she is very aware of the fact that she is beautiful. She is rather proud of her body. She also shows pride in her hair, and while she tries not to show it during her duties, she can be very vain about her appearance and getting it just right.

Despite many changes in her personality, Lou remains a social creature. She is friendly, warm, not shying away from meeting new people, and has considerable skill in social interactions. Lou has a certain charisma that attracts people and make them flock to her. Lou's charm originates from her witty sense of humor, her sharp brilliance, and her formidable talent in her pack’s protection.

Lou also is shown to be adept of using her feminine wiles. She has shown an ability to seduce men and sweet talk them into giving her what she wants. Lou also has an ability to read people. She is excellent at reading body language, noticing things that others wouldn't.

Diving Into The Past

History

Lou was born a human. She didn't know her parents for they had died in a car accident when she was only three years old. After they died, she was ushered into the foster care system. She was dragged from house to house, never making a home for herself. As she grew up, she grew better and better at survival, knowing when a house would be good for her and when it wouldn't. There were many houses that would lock her in closets or even close her up in file cabinets when she was small.

It wasn't until she was seventeen, almost out of the system, when she found a good home. This couple was sweet, loving, and truly seemed to care for her. After a while, they had all agreed that there wasn't much point in adopting Lou, considering she would be turning eighteen shortly. Never the less, she became their honorary adopted daughter, and stayed long enough to actually make some friends. She applied to colleges, and was accepted into her first choice.

Her first year in college went really well. She kept good grades, made good friends, and made a really good life for herself. One night during her sophomore year, she awoke at four in the morning by the blaring of her alarm and quickly got out of bed. Pulling on pants, wool socks, and a t-shirt, she sprinted out of her dorm and down onto the front lawn, climbing up a nearby forest tree and staring over at the horizon from through the leaves. Peacefully, she watched the sun rise. It was one of the most beautiful sights she's ever seen, and she knew she would never forget it. Sighing happily, she put her foot on a lower branch to climb down when the branch snapped from under her and sent her tumbling through the tree branches onto the ground, knocking the wind out of her. It took her a few moments to collect herself, but she still couldn't move. Fearing something was broken, she turned her head slightly to the left to try and see the university, when she was met with just a faceful of fur. Shakily, she realized that there was a wolf next to her. As she lay there in complete silence, the wolf licked her once before sinking his teeth deep into her elbow. She blacked out after that, and awoke in the middle of a clearing far far away from her university.

Her sire had abandoned her, but she still occasionally felt him throbbing in her head as he faced some sort of trial or another. She wonders everyday if he can feel her too, but she tries not to think about it too much. After she came to terms with what she was, she went in search of something, anything, that could cure her. Instead, she found the Blackwell pack. The alpha welcomed her and asked her to join them, and she accepted. After about a year of training, the alpha deemed her fit for the Sentinel position, and she has been there ever since.

The air was cooler now. The blood pumping through my veins slowed down and my heavy breaths with intermittent gasps eventually slowed down as well. I let out my first calm exhalation. The whole morning I had used up in order to get a sense of the landscape town, or rather the landscape of the woods surrounding it, and I used up the past few hours for what I aimed to be a light nap. But then three hours turned into four hours, and four into seven. Before I knew it, I was waking up at 5 o'clock in the evening, sweat drenching my sheets, and images of my dream gently teasing at my recollection. "At least it wasn't real," I said to myself, trying to focus on the coolness of my body rather than the heat burning through my head. But I knew, deep down, that the events that transpired within that dream were, at one point, my reality.

I rose from my bed. There was no need to spend the rest of my evening staring at a random spot on my ceiling, contemplating the justification for my being. The town still had much to be explored, and I wanted to be back inside before nighttime. I changed out of my shirt, put on one that wasn't soaked in sweat, and threw on some shoes and pants before heading outside of the homestead to see the town. Preferably, I would have liked to accompany Adrian on his endeavors, but perhaps my sleep caused me to miss him on his way out. I didn't bother looking around our new homestead to find him, I was sure that wherever he was, his antics would lead the way.

"I'm heading out!" I yelled back into the homestead before closing the back door. I didn't know if anyone was inside, but wanted to make sure that if they were, they would know of my absence. Of course, by "they" I was primarily thinking about Ronnie. She was like a sister to me now, and that made me afraid of a number of things. But perhaps my greatest, though very irrational, fear was that I'd leave the house one day and that she'd wake up thinking I was no longer there for her. I paused at the door for a moment, wondering if I should just take a quick peek back inside, but then decided I was being silly. "I should just get going," I thought to myself, "Ronnie can take care of herself..."

"Ronnie!" I yelled back into the homestead after reopening the back door, "if you're in here, just know that I'm heading out! I'll be back before sunset!" With my worries brought to a minimum I closed the door again. I wasn't even sure if she was in the homestead, but now my mind was again at ease. I hurried down the steps of the homestead and began on my way to town. The sun wasn't far away from setting and I still wanted to check out a good portion of the town. "Maybe I should have checked if Adrian was in the homestead before heading out," Ronnie wasn't the only one who worried me. "Have I always been such a worrywart?" I thought in my head, "must be the town."

I then headed towards town......after yelling back inside to Adrian, then Lou, about my whereabouts in case they were still in the house.

I was drawing when I heard Randolph yell to Ronnie how late he was going to be out. I only presumed he was heading towards town, because honestly, where else would he go? I had an urge to go and join him, but I really didn't talk to him much, and I wouldn't want to make the situation awkward.

I looked down to see what I was drawing. This may seem peculiar, but sometimes I draw subconsciously and I don't even know what I'm drawing. I looked at the former blank sheet to see something that I would mostly see in my nightmares. The setting was a forest, with tall and beautiful evergreen trees on a full moon night. There way a clearing, and something seemed to be lying in the middle of it. I didn't want to think any further of what it was, because in my heart I felt as if it were lifeless, dead. But my thoughts carried on out. It was a wolf, or at least a cadaver of one. Not any wolf I recognized, however. Not me, not my pack mates. Next to it - No, cuddling it - was a wispy human-like figure. I was utterly confused. What did this mean? I decided to ignore it, and jammed it into my sock drawer, where there were more pictures than socks.

I walked into the kitchen to make a cup of hot green tea. I really didn't like that picture. What if it was someone who died? Or someone whose going to die… Or maybe it was nothing. Maybe it was just my sick, twisted mind. I actually hoped it was."Dammit… No more tea bags?" I crossed my arms and started to pout. Maybe I should've told Rand to pick up some before he left.

Oh well.

I put on my shoes, grabbed some money out of my purse, wrote a note saying that I would be out for a quick grocery run, and headed out the door. If I ran into Rand, I would just give him a friendly smile and continue my way to the store. I wouldn't have wanted to bug him.
