Brief Written Description:
Ronnie's wolf form is average for a female werewolf, just as her height in human form might be considered average. Her fur is primarily brown and gray, though the shades of brown vary here and there. Her form is very slightly slimmer than average, but beneath her fur is certainly enough muscle to be competent in taking down those who might attempt to attack her. Her eyes are brown in this form, just as they are in her human form, though they might appear to be darker, to the point of being nearly black.
Tends to Laugh When Nervous - Most people, faced with fear or anxiety, freeze up, or perhaps babble. Ronnie laughs- she can't help it, and it doesn't mean she's not scared to death. It has made people give her some strange looks before, though.
Drinks Too Much - Ronnie doesn't drink often, but when she does the woman tends to get carried away and drinks more than she ought to- leading to her having to be dragged home by a friend.
Dreams
Ronnie doesn't have many of what she might consider dreams, joking that she doesn't recall her sleep, but she would like to live with minimal regrets. Besides that, she also, when she was young, used to talk about wanting to own a bar, like her parents did.
Fears
Veronica is more afraid of death than she'd like people to know. She can tolerate high levels of pain, but the idea of ending before she's ready scares her. She also hates heights- airplanes and tall buildings and all things high make her feel sick to her stomach. She'll avoid them if at all possible- and this includes standing on tall cliffs and the like.
Strengths
Fighting - Despite the fact that her wolf form is not larger than average, Ronnie hides some impressive physical strength beneath it. While many of the slimmer wolves might be agile, she has a balance of strength and stamina that make her competent in a fight. This crosses over to her human form, as well- her parents owned a bar, so of course she learned how to defend herself.
Adaptable - Another strength of Veronica's is her ability to think on her feet. She knows how to take what is thrown at her and run with it, realizing that sometimes the plan just isn't going to cut it when the unexpected breaks in. She probably deals better with sudden complications than she does with plans.
Weaknesses
Agility - While she's probably faster than a human, Ronnie is rather slow by werewolf standards. She relies mostly on her strength and endurance to get by, but when the opponent is very fast, she might be at a disadvantage. Speed simply isn't her strong suit- she'd prefer slow and steady.
Sensitivity -There is a reason she could never be an Alpha. Lacking the empathy and sensitivity crucial for a leader, she is prone to stepping on toes she never realized was there, and never completely understanding the feelings of others unless they draw it out for her.

Ronnie is not the sort of person to allow herself to become wrapped up in insecurities or worries about who she is and whether she is good enough. When she was younger, the girl had a problem with such concerns- just as all teenagers do. However, rather than allow those fears of the past to haunt her, the young woman learned to ignore them- though it took a while to do this. It is her confidence which allows her to act quickly when situations suddenly sour, because indecision is the child of insecurity and it isn't something one has time for when they have to think on their feet. That being said, sometimes her confidence can lead the Beta to bite off more than she can chew, taking on extra tasks besides her normal duties to the pack because she feels that she can handle it. Sometimes she is correct, and manages well enough- but this isn't always the case, unfortunately. Still, she manages to get out of tough situations, whether on her own or with the help of her pack, to whom she is fiercely loyal and perhaps a bit protective of. Veronica prides herself on being the sort who keeps a cool head and doesn't allow herself to be prompted into a fight, but she can become very defensive when it comes to her pack, getting irritated with those who try to sling mud at the pack. Her loyalty exists outside of its ability to cloud her judgement, luckily, and also means that she is unlikely to betray her pack, even if doing so is for the best. To her, betraying those one cares for is the greatest sin, one she'd never commit. But perhaps she'd be willing to do less than savory things, if she thought it would help the pack. A cause for concern, certainly. Luckily, deception doesn't come easily for the woman, who is blunt at worst and honest at best. In fact, should she try to lie, it would be transparent for lack of practice. The young woman comes from a family that valued the truth, even if it comes like a smack in the face- and while she's learned to have some tact, in the end she believes that people would be better off with the truth than in blissful ignorance- though many people have disagreed with her over this. Perhaps it is the fact that she isn't always the most empathetic of people which causes her to hold this value. For the most part, Ronnie doesn't pretend that she is able to understand a person's motivations or feelings just through their expressions and cryptic words. It is best that a person simply say what they mean if they want her to get the message- otherwise it will certainly be lost in translation. She's stepped on toes unwittingly before due to misunderstanding the feelings or wishes of another- Ronnie probably wouldn't make a very good Alpha due to this lacking. But she makes up for it with a good sense of humor and the ability to let insults towards her own person roll away. A fan of jokes and little pranks, she's liked by children and other good humored members of the park.
Pilar and Joseph Brooks both came lineages with very minimal amounts of human involvement in the family tree. There are inevitably some cases, of course, but for the most part the two of them both contained blood almost exclusively possessive of the genes which are responsible for the existence of werewolves. This is why it might be considered unusual that the two of them, both born into the same pack, should have found themselves bartending in Las Vegas, living very mundane, human-like lives, without being involved in a pack. The reason for it was, in fact, that their pack had been killed by the werewolves of a rival pack, due to one of those rare but not unheard of territory battles which take place when two packs place claims on the same area. The two were able to slip away, but in doing so abandoned and, some might say, betrayed their own pack. Ashamed of this, Pilar and Joseph never joined another pack, instead condemning themselves to live as though they were humans. Perhaps condemning is a poor choice of words, but the decision to live away from other werewolves certainly represents a sort of self-inflicted exile. After all, they easily could have joined the pack of Pilar's sister, or Joseph's brother, both of whom had become members of separate packs. But they never really considered joining a pack, until their first and only child was born. Veronica, affectionately called Ronnie, was young and lively- and surrounded only by human children. Growing up as she did, Ronnie did not learn to hunt properly, and experienced difficulty shifting- there wasn't a good place around for her to be taught, and no other pups for her to play with in such a way that would train crucial instincts for the future. Seeing how this affected her growth, Pilar and Joseph decided to move to a town with woods, one with a pack which would accept them. When Ronnie was around seven or eight years old, they moved away from Las Vegas, to the town of Warren, in South Dakota.
When they reached Warren, Pilar and Joseph purchased a small building, otherwise scheduled to be destroyed, in the downtown area of Warren. It had already once been a bar, run out of business by a fancier one opened a few blocks away. The couple, with some help from Ronnie, began working on renovating the place. While this was going on, their presence was noticed by the local pack. At first, they thought another pack had sent ahead scouts, and several representatives showed up at the bar warning the Brooks that this town had been claimed. Pilar and Joseph explained that they had hoped to finish fixing up the building before requesting to join the pack, and while wolves remained cautious, they accepted the small family. This gave Ronnie something she had not really had before- other pups as friends. She began frequently stealing away to the local pack's homestead to play with the other children, something that certainly made her parents happy. The only other pup Ronnie had met, after all, was her cousin, [Name], and they had only really seen each other a few times a year. While Ronnie was soon embraced by the pack, her cheerfulness and loyalty something that made her well-liked, her parents seemed to remain distant. They did not fully accept the pack, and the feeling was reciprocated. Still, their daughter was happy, so they remained part of it- more fringe members than anything else. Over the years, the family's bar became successful, and the family was happy enough. Slightly different from the other pups, Ronnie was raised slightly more as a human child than a pup- for this reason her hunting skills were late blooming, and though she would develop strength to be reckoned with, she never could best another pup in a race. She grew older, one foot in each world despite her pureblood status, and going through adolescence seemed to make the differences more clear. Most of her friends were homeschooled, taking hunting trips while she studied for a calculus test, etc. When she turned twenty, the young woman made a decision- she wanted to find her own place. Struck with the cliche wanderlust of a young adult, she left her home, as well as her pack.
Ronnie made a habit of staying in one place for a while, usually getting a job as a bartender of some sort [it being something she knew well]. She hardly had the sort of personality one might expect of a lone wolf, though, and while she traveled she seemed to always be on the look out for a pack she might want to try and join. For the most part, she simply made short friendships as she passed through, hunting with other werewolves, perhaps, but leaving before any movement towards joining the pack might be made. This continued for a few years, until she met [Alpha]. They were both looking for a pack that suited them, and after interacting for a while during the time that they were both in the same town, decided to form their own pack. It seemed a perfect solution, after all. Thus the Blackwell pack was formed, and Ronnie became the Beta. After that they traveled for a bit, picking up new members here and there- including her own cousin, who would become the Delta of the pack. She is fiercely loyal to the Blackwell pack, her second family, and is thankful that she left home- otherwise she might not have been part of such a wonderful family.
