Both the surprise of the driver suddenly shooting in a sitting position, and the fact that Kai was a bit too focused on the whole creature versus team thing. The head-butt of Anemone was enough to make the technician fall back, reaching for his forehead as he landed butt-first on the ground.

“Oww... If that be how ya greet everyone, ya don' have ta greet me any more...” He said, rubbing his head as if he had just been hit with a hammer.

“Oh, Kai. Sorry, dear.”

The driver said as she patted the technician on his head. “Aye. Ya better be, nearly broke me skull there, Monmon.” Although that was a bit exaggerated, 'twasn't that much of a head-butt. Kai turned his head to watch the ongoing struggle of the group and the creature. It sure was... biggish.

“Ye fin' that monster cute? Ta creature nearly ripp'd ya apart!” The technician questioningly glared at Anemone as she suggested that the beast should be tranquillized instead.

“Oh, well, all that aside, thanks for guarding me with your life~”

The female driver said, as she reached over to Kai to give the him a thanking hug. “Aye, Aye. A-ain't a probl'm fer me.” He retorted hesitantly, his cheeks slightly turning red form the split-second hug.

Well, after that... event. Kai tried to just stay safe for the time being. He ain't a fighter, and he wasn't going to attempt brawling with that creature.

“Try not ta injure yer-” Anemone had already picked up a tranquillizer gun, and attempted to shoot the cat-like creature. It had barely scraped the beast's side, and the others weren't doing too well. Nonetheless, luck was on their side and the creature turned tail and ran from the group. “Bloody hell. Why'd he be attackin' in ta first place.”

Kai did not understand animals, real or not. At least A.Is and computers tend to be consistent with their actions. Obviously, they can only do what they were programmed to to...

Anyway, they had fought off the threat, for now...

The technician listened in as Sari suggested the group should have people pair up. A decent enough plan. And logical, since there were not that many with the ability to fight. “I'll be secondin' yer plan.” He announced, raising his hand as if he was asked to vote for something. “What pairings ya suggest?” Kai rose up from the ground, dusting another set of dirt and grass from his jeans as he occasionally glared at each an every member of the group.

'All be unscathed fer now. I'll wager that won' be lastin' fer long.'

         Sari smiled at Alberto and then glanced back at her sister, rolling her eyes. "Love you, too, Monmon." She considered trying to wake her sister up, but Dante was already attending the the cause - and besides, Anemone would probably prefer being waken up by -

With a growl that seemed like it shook the ground, an enormous creature leapt from the cover of deeper grass. It was large - the size of a lion at least - and had fur that was dull and black, but at the same time, beautiful in a deadly kind of way. Unfortunately, Sari didn't have any time to consider the fur as the creature threw itself straight at Anemone.

Her eyes widened - and that was all she had time for.

Dante scooped her up and darted away, and there was an almost painful feeling of relief in Sari's chest. It didn't last long, but it gave her time to recover. She followed Dante from a distance, tracing his movements until Alberto and then Kai took care of her. She breathed a sigh of relief and started to move towards them, keeping a cold eye out on the feline.

They had just entered the digital world, and already, her sister had almost been killed. Even that thought couldn't keep Sari from smiling slightly at Anemone's actions towards Kai - she probably didn't even realize that they were flirty - Anemone had that trait, though Sari wasn't quite sure when she had picked it up. She stepped out of the way as Anemone aimed and shot. In the corner of her eye, she thought absently, Shooting with one eye closed. Monmon, you should know better than that.

Then she'd reached Anemone's side. Sari hugged her sister, closing her eyes and breathing in her scent for the briefest moment, taking heart in the fact that she was unharmed. When the moment was up, she untangled herself, told Anemone, "Seriously? A tranquilizer? After all those real bullets? I'm not sure how useful that's going to be." She looked over at the feline as she spoke, scouting out its distance.

It had skipped away from Alberto's shots, but it was obviously unnerved - one of Zeren's had caught it on a shoulder, and it had started to roar, a deep, throaty sound that once again make the earth feel like it was about to start rumbling. Anemone's shot had barely grazed its side - not enough to break the skin or send in the tranquilizer. Still, it hadn't sustained any real damage as of yet. Given the stance that it was holding, Sari wasn't sure if it would sustain any damage. It looked like it had had enough for the moment, and - after a moment of posing - it turned tail and quickly disappeared into the digital world.

For a moment, Sari just watched it go, but quickly, she turned back to her teammates, getting to her feet. "I think..." She said, her voice unusually serious. "I think we should get pairings." She looked at Dante, her eyes dark. "Not all of us fight - or at least, that well, and this is a dangerous place. I think that all of us should have one good fighter - or decent fighter - with us at all times, and those two can work together to protect each other. In combat situations, it's better to split up, too," She added. "There's a better chance of survival."

         Anemone smiled slightly at Lillian’s snarky comments. The girl obviously never worked with anyone that majorly lacked any sort of temper control. Anemone looked over at her sister, who had a familiar glint in her eyes. She watched as the doctor injected Dante with the fluid, making a mental notes about the scars on his arm and hoping that the syringe wouldn’t leave such a mark on her arm. Anemone did not like being scarred. The burn scar on her right arm left her rolling around on her bed for a week or so, overwhelmed by severe depression. She planned on making it into a part of a tattoo or something later.

She winced slightly as the syringe was stuck into her arm and held her breath until it was over. Afterwards, she looked up to see Dante and Ava changing into armor, frowning slightly as she assessed her own clothing.

Somehow, she’d have to get the armor over her dress and, preferably, look good doing it.

Oh well, just another challenge for her greatness. Anemone jumped slightly as her thoughts were interrupted by Lillian’s speech. Great, now the boring rants were in her head, too. She resisted the urge to roll her eyes – even if she wasn’t attentive, she liked to be respectful – and looked back at the chamber where Dante and Ava were waiting to be transmitted to the digital world.

She blinked slightly as she watched them dissipate, wondering if the procedure was painful. After that, she decided to delay a bit on volunteering so that she could figure out how to armor herself up properly. Really. She was a driver. Did she even need armor?

When it was finally her turn, she rid herself of her jacket, which figured that she wouldn’t miss too much because she had tons of the same type and color, and stepped into the chamber, trying her best to ignore her claustrophobia. Once she suited herself in armor that would match her sister’s and grabbed a gun with tranquilizer darts, she gingerly touched the orb.

I must look like a moron…

She closed her eyes as she went through the dissipation process, enjoying the feeling of being as light as air. It was, surprisingly, not painful, just a bit strange. She didn’t have too much time to enjoy it, however, as she soon lost consciousness.
