APPEARANCE
Brook doesn't know what it's like to wear new clothes. He's never owned a piece of clothing that hasn't previously belonged to one of his older brothers. Now, the Delaney's have never had much money, but the Delaney boys also aren't the type you'd put in fine clothing. Even before their mum died, their appearances lacked a feminine touch, with no one having much care for ironing or mending. Brook, like his brothers, seems to be constantly unclean; a speckling of mud across his leg, flecks of dried paint up his arm or the dirt that seems a permanent part of his hands.

Despite Brooks' height and muscles built through lacrosse and other outdoorsy activities, he has a youthful look. Like a young boy, he's never without some superficial injury. Skinned knees, splinters in his fingers or gravel rash from falling off his bike, are all pretty common. As such, his body is littered with careless scars; a gouge out of his left knee from jumping off the roof, a slit through his chin from trying to jump the creek on a skateboard, and so on. He also has the rune for family tattooed on his right calf.

likes: they drive him nuts, but Brook loves his family. He also will do just about anything that involves the outdoors and being active; surfing, dirt biking, camping, rafting, lacrosse, hiking. Brooks will eat anything that's put in front of him with gusto. He lives to work with his hands, from mechanics, to building things. And he's a known party goer, always turning up with a grin and a bottle of alcohol.

dislikes: as a druid, he hates being cooped up inside. Anything calm, quiet activities like reading or puzzles are a no go for him. School is definitely not his strong point with his failing grades and poor attendance. Plus he just can't get his head around authoritative figures and being told what to do. Which might be why he's got some lingering resentment for werewolves who expect druids to be at their beck and call. He also hates overly sensitive people.

strengths: Brook has the greatest druid potential of all his brothers, not that he has an interest in it. He is also brave, bordering on fearless when it comes to attempting incredible feats or walking into danger. He is incredibly loyal and protective, he learnt early in life that you don't let anyone get away with hurting you family, or people you consider family.

weaknesses: Brook doesn't have book smarts, and doesn't care to gain any. Druid magic relies on a lot of study that he just can't be bothered with. His braveness also often wanders into reckless, where he is always taking unnecessary risks with his own safety. Brook also isn't the kindest of guys, no one would accuse him of being a sweetheart and if you can't take his brand of teasing then you'd best stay away.

fears: Brook just couldn't handle losing his grandma, she's the true druid, advising all supernaturals big and small, with his mother gone, he is next in line. And he's not ready for that responsibility.

PERSONA
Brook, like all Delaneys, is a wild thing. He has a natural love for nature, and can't stand being cooped up all day inside, nothing could be worse than wasting a sunny day. He's on the lacrosse team, and is always at the beach surfing, or riding dirt bikes with his brothers around the Delaney property. He's a true free spirit, always just doing as he pleases. He grew up in a lawless household, where he was free to stay out as late as he wanted and to act in whatever manner he pleased. Which has led to Brook being rebellious to a fault. He refuses to be told what to do by anyone. He can't be controlled through command or by influence. What he does and how he feels is his own choice, and won't be swayed by what other people think and do.

Brook is an easily irritated kind of guy, his grandma jokes that he was born on the wrong side of the bed, and any minor inconvenience can set off his grumpy gene. Hence why his brother's have taken to calling him 'Sooky Brooky'. He has no patience for anything, and will be openly resentful of being forced to do something he doesn't want to. Brook is a 'good enough' sort of guy and lacks the patience or effort to strive for perfection in anything, as such he can't stand fussy, perfectionist type people. They drive him nuts.

Growing up in a house of twelve guys, Brook's is always going to a little bit too much 'boy', he's not going to hide a burp or fart, or curb his language in front of an elderly lady. In his house there is always noise and activity, lots of laughter at someone's expense and roughhousing. So for Brook being surrounded by people is his natural state, he loves to laugh and joke around, even though most of his jokes are insensitive and involve giving someone shit. He doesn't have a care for people who are timid and uncomfortable around his insensitive, boisterous nature.

Brook is a very dependable person. Despite his free-spirited approach to life, he's practical, not prone to big dreams and an airy fairy nature. He likes working with his hands, and with an old, rotting house, there is always a project that needs his attention. The Delaney's are all natural builders, not real bookworm-y types. Brook also learnt growing up that family will always trump everything else. Even when his brothers call him 'sooky Brooky' and drive him up the wall, he will always be there when they call on him. Helping them move furniture, picking them up at 4am from the middle of nowhere, or beating up someone who messed with them, that's just what you do for family. Both his flesh and blood family, and the people he considers family. He's a sturdy guy, who means what he says and will always turn up when you need him. Delaney's know how to do the right thing, which is why Brook knows he'll eventually take over for his grandmother even if the idea of it repulses him.

HISTORY
The Delaney's are a fixture of Beaumont Hills, like the roads and creeks, they seem like they've been here since the before the town even sprung up. They have never had any money or influence among the town, but they're happy with their lot in life; a block of land and rundown house up on the hill. As druids, they have always served the vital role of protecting the Nemeton, and advising all supernatural creatures that will listen. They have long since viewed their role as peacekeepers. Brook's maternal grandmother specifically taking in all sorts of supernatural creatures that need guidance.

Brook's mother is the druid, with his father being a local carpenter she picked up in high school. Together they filled their house with 11 boys, Brook being number 7 and unfortunately the one with the most potential as a druid. Their grandmother lives in a small shack out the back of the property where all the boys have to go and study magic despite their protests. She had a tendency to blather on, and they'd all rather be at the beach, or down by the creek. Brook has always understood the need to pass on the ancestral knowledge, he just wished it wasn't him who had to do it.

When Brook was 7, the leader of the werewolves was killed, and his mother served her role as a druid of Beaumont Hills by bringing him back from the dead, sacrificing her own life to do it. His grandmother claims it was a noble and necessary sacrifice to protect Beaumont Hills, and maybe it was. But ever since then Brook has held a small but growing resentment for werewolves and supernaturals, as far as he's concerned the Delaney's have sacrificed enough and they shouldn't just be expected to work for them.

The night had gone by, perhaps more slowly than it had come. Reagan could not remember if she had successfully closed her eyes or not, or if she was maybe sleeping wide awake in some crazy nightmare scene. A lot of things have been brought to a new and uncomfortable light - she may have seen the Alpha for who he was as a human, and she now had undeniable proof that Riley was something else entirely. The greatest confusion comes, not for seeing them for what they were when the moon rises and the night takes them over, but in knowing that they weren't bad people. Her mother always said that these monsters were so because they were also monsters in their mortal lives.

But that seemed untrue.

She's also pissed at Brook - so pissed that she can't fathom seeing his face without also watching as her palm uncontrollably connects with his overly handsome face. She doesn't know what happened to him or where he went, either, and he let her worry like that. It almost made her sick to her stomach. He's such an asshole.

What was she supposed to do, though? Armed with all of this information, does she just go out into the light of day and roam the school like nothing ever happened? Was Riley going to be scared of her now? Most of all - was there something for her to be scared of? Maybe there was. Maybe there wasn't. She didn't quite know right now.

The first rays of a Saturday morning sunrise peek through the curtains, and Reagan finally rolls herself out of bed. After a very slow shower, if one could call it a shower and not contemplating in a sauna, she tugged on a pair of bright pink leggings, a sports bra, and some running shoes. There are a lot of things to do right now - errands to run. She had to go to the store, maybe get through a workout at the gym, go for a run, take a look over the armory, avoid people if that was possible. Her mother was far too busy with hunter stuff to deal with her today, and Reagan was fine with that.

She spent most of the morning to the early afternoon by herself, but that was just her life.

By the time the late afternoon rolled about, around three pm or so (she wasn't keeping track), she had accomplished all of her tasks and slipped into a t-shirt sans bra, jeans, and some white flats. She didn't look her best - a face without much makeup save for brows and a spot of mascara, a light dusting of pink for her lips. Her hair was obviously towel-dried and laid a bit messily, and the dark circles under her eyes accented her just rolled out of bed look.

She dipped out of the house and strolled down the streets of the town, which are always busy at this time of day. Children were with their parents at the park, families roamed hand-in-hand to this shop or that. It was just small-town America doing what it does best. The only thing that separated it from the rest was that the residents seem to always be a little more alert, but not for all the reasons you might think.

There was police activity at the school; an active crime scene since the Chimera Amanda chomped a boy to death. The Sheriff was there along with other authority figures; many of which operated under the long lineage of hunters and or other Supernaturals since the town's conception. While the Sheriff was not in the know of all the Supernatural stuff, his concern for a death in a town like this was not at all surprising - he was very much on the alert. This place hasn't seen a ton of murders for a long time, just the every now and again tragic accident; like the one that had awoken the Nemeton. That was ruled as an accident, and it was case closed.

This, though, was different. Reagan stood back behind one of the buses; a palm placed on the yellow surface as she peeked around its back corner. They even called in animal control. Everyone who was anyone was here, and that included friends of her mother that operated as a deputy or two and even the principal. The crime scene tape was stretched across the doors of the Beaumont High, and parents were going to get the call that school would be canceled for Monday.

She turned around and placed her back against the bus, looking up at the clear blue skies. She pushed herself away and started to walk in the other direction, making a mental note to grab a friend and come by the school later. Maybe Brook, after she's done giving him a piece of her mind.
