Campus Layout Image
The school grounds are on a beautiful piece of land covering 150 acres. The mansion is placed on the front of the grounds, only about 10 acres back. Directly behind the mansion is a collection of athletic fields. There is a blacktop basketball court, eight tennis courts, a soccer field, a football field, and a baseball field. Behind this is an open field that students use for training. Students are also permitted to use this field for leisure time after classes. Behind this is the area where animals are kept. The only animals allowed inside the mansion are dogs and cats. These animals must stay in the dormitory area. All other animals are kept here. There are stables for horses, habitats for reptiles, and giant tanks for aquatic animals. Some students visit daily to interact with the animals. It is a zoo of sorts. Some animals are used in training.

Inside the Mansion ImageThe inside of the mansion is quite elegant. It is kept in impeccable condition.

This is a lounge room. Lounge rooms are placed around the house. Each year has its own lounge room outside of its dormitory. There are several others in various places. It is used for leisure time before and after classes.Image

This is a bed room. Each student has their own bed room. There are dormitory areas on 2nd-5th floors. Freshman are housed on the 2nd floor, sophomores on the 3rd, juniors on the 4th, and seniors on the 5th. Teachers are housed on the 6th floor. The headmaster's quarters are on the 7th floor. Students are encouraged to keep them clean on their own. There are six bedrooms on either side of the dormitory hallway. Girls stay on one side, guys on the other. Opposite genders are not permitted in each other's rooms after curfew. Image

Classrooms are very modern. Class sizes are small, so usually a large table surrounded by chairs with a teacher up front is used. Other classes are held outside or in the indoor training arena.Image

The indoor training arena is a state of the art training area where students can test there abilities. It is equipped with standard safety measures to ensure a safe environmnet for students to learn to control their powers.

Curriculum
Students are taught high level courses in both math and science. Outside of that, our curriculum varies very much from a typical high school. Hours a day are spent training the students to control their abilities. They are also taught in depth hand to hand combat. Other classes focus on the strengthening and defense of the student's mind and will.

Deangelo kissed his sister on the forehead and put a blanket over her body. Leaving her this year was harder than ever. He knew that he had to continue at school. It was his only chance of getting him and his sister out of the hood. He walked toward the door and picked up his luggage. Professor Ramsey always picked him up at 10 PM on the dot the night before school started. He took one last look at his sister before he walked out of the door. He was excited, very excited. He missed hi friends at school. Deangelo didn't trust anyone, but he had plenty of friends.

He got outside and looked over the rail. It was 9:58. It was warm. Deangelo liked the warmth. It reminded him of football season. The local high school would be starting practice tomorrow. The coaches still called him. No one he grew up with knew where he went during the school year. No one really asked questions either. His neighborhood wasn't a place for questions. It was a place for action. On top of that, nobody dared cross Deangelo. He won fights against high school seniors in just sixth grade. People were scared of him. He thought over all this as he waited on his ride.

Deangelo heard the bullet as it left the gun. His hearing allowed this. Most never even heard the bullet they would die from. He hit the ground on instinct. He felt the bullet go over the top of his sprawled out figure. He looked up to see Justin, a childhood friend, down the hall gripping a gun with two hands. He looked scared. Deangelo went from shocked to angry immediately.

"What the hell was that?" he yelled down the hallway. He got up and slowly started creeping towards the rail. 'As long as he doesn't fire again until Professor Ramsey shows I'm good. I'll just jump over the rail.' Deangelo thought.

"You can't just leave us here like this. Your mom got high at my place the other night, and told us all about your exclusive private school and your scholarship. You don't get to just leave your boys behind Deangelo. It doesn't work like that," Justin stammered out.

Deangelo could see a car pulling up out of the corner his eye. He was getting ready to jump. "Man it's not like that. I swear. I'm just doing what's best for my fam ya know. I gotta get us out of here> Come on Justin put the damn gun down. We been boys sin..." Deangelo cut off his speech as soon as he saw the car get close. He hopped the rail with ease. He heard a gun shot fire behind where he had been three seconds before. 'I guess these powers help sometimes' he laughed to himself nervously as he hopped in the car.

"What kept you Professor? It's 10:01. A minute earlier, and I may have avoided being shot at." Deangelo remarked sarcastically. This wasn't the first time Professor Ramsey had caught him in a dangerous situation. It was a normal occurrence actually.

"It's the life we live son. It's the life we live." the professor replied after laughing loudly.

Deangelo looked back toward his neighborhood one last time. He would have to come check on his sister late at night this year. He didn't need anymore old friends shooting at him. Then he looked forward, thinking of the year he would have. He thought of his friends. He couldn't wait to see Madison and Amira. He knew Jason would be ready to party. He was even looking forward to seeing Agatha. It was gonna be an interesting year, and Deangelo knew he had alot of choices to make.

Jason packed his things into his suit case and looked over the tiny room of his current foster home. There was one poster on the wall of some 80's power metal band he knew nothing of. The only reason the poster was even there was because his foster mother insisted he try and decorate his new room. Zoe was the one who put that up for knowing his taste in music was very different and thought it'd be funny. He let her do it because he just didn't really care. Jason knew this home wasn't permanent. They never were.

Jason had left his room with his suit case and backpack to find his foster mother spread out on the dirty old coach taking a nap. A devilish smirk curled onto his lips as he dropped his bags and cracked his knuckles. Time for a parting gift... He thought as he entered her dreams and completely altered them into her worse nightmare with him as the leading actor. He contintued to torture her until he evenutally grew bored and decide to part, but not before giving her a nice cut on her cheek.

His foster mother woke up screaming and toughed her face to find there really was blood there. She looked up Jason who was still smirking and began screaming and chasing after him. "Get out! Get out of my house!" Jason laughed as he ran out the door with his bags. "Gladly..."

Jason threw his bags into the back of his Volkswagon Passat and drove off. It wasn't the car anyone expected him to have but it was all he could afford to get. Jason would much rather have a 1969 Camaro if he had the money for it.

Jason drove into the direction of the school. He insisted on driving Zoe to school but she was all too stubborn and said she had her own way and if he did pick her up, she threatened to use her telepathic powers and give him to worst migraine he's ever experienced. Jason knew she was dead serious and wasn't going to risk it. He may be bad, but he was also smart.

Eventually after driving for an hour or so, Jason arrived at the school for his third year. He looked around for Kai's car but found him no where in sight. Zoe or Agatha hadn't gotten there yet either. Jason sighed and sat in his car for a bit before stepping out and slamming the car door in front of anyone that was their like he was some entitled badass. Jason then grabbed his two bags from the trunk and proceeded to walk into the school.

Agatha pulled on the restrains. Her wrists red from all the pulling she was doing. Exhaling she could see her breath. Why was it so cold? Where was she? Why couldn't she leave? Then she started to feel drained. As if power was being taken from her. She didn't know what to do. She couldn't move. She couldn't fight. Agatha was mortal. Finally looking away from the chains she looked out straight ahead. There wasn't a horizon. It was almost as if there was no straight ahead. Just open space that engulfed her. Looking around she seemed alone, but she has grown to know better. "Welcome back to your Demon Soul, Aggie." She recognized that voice. It was the same voice she spoke to every day. The voice that killed the angels of her family. "Bestia no. Please. Not again." Not that it mattered. She was vulnerable in her sleep. In her sleep that was when the human part of her was dead. That was when Bestia was coming to play.

Agatha doesn't even remember when she fell asleep. Or why she was even asleep. She knew better than to sleep in a way where she could dream. Bestia was playing games. The demon neared his human vessel and crouched down to her level. "Let me have you Agatha. Let me give you power." Bestia whispered to her. She could have caved right then and there. Where he soul was most vulnerable. Then the pain would end. No more scars. No more battles. But she couldn't. For the sake of humankind she couldn't. Agatha shook her head. Bestia sighed and extended one of his claws. Stabbing her in the shoulder, he dragged his claw down in a diagonal across her chest. Agatha screamed. Louder than any woman should be allowed to scream. "Aggie.."The voice sounded so far away. "Aggie get up.." Her vision of Bestia and the demon soul was fading. "AGATHA!"

The frightened teenager awoke with a scream. She was thrashing about about, clutching her chest. She felt like she was going to die. Her father was holding her down so that she wouldn't harm herself. The poor young woman's eyes were as black as the demon soul. Her father knew what happened. But he had to wait until she was calm before scolding her. Finally her eyes faded back to their brown color. Her breathing evened out and her heart rate slowed. The grip she had on her father was released her claws retracted. She had torn her father's clothes. "What have I said about continuing communication with Bestia?" He scolded. The rebellious former demon rolled her eyes. "Whatever. Why did you wake me up?" She asked rolling away from her creator.

Her father growled and stood up. "Time for school." he said. It was still dark out. That explained why she was asleep. But she needed to be there before the first day. Grabbing her already packed bags she went to the car. Her father despised Bestia and Agatha knew that. Bestia killed his wife and child. And is currently threatening to kill his current one. He was hoping the school was going to help, but nothing has changed. Agatha has actually gotten worse, but she refuses to talk about it. Before Aggie knew it she was at school. Before her father could lecture her about school, training, and boys she got out of the car. Grabbing her bags, she slammed the trunk and then screamed a little. "Don't sneak up on me in the dark. Ever again." She warned her father.

A moment of silence passed between them before he embraced her. For a moment Agatha didn't do anything, but then she hugged back. She did love her father, but he didn't love all of Agatha. It was pushing them apart. The day will come when Agatha won't even recognize him as her father anymore. Kissing his cheek she skipped away with her bags. No one she cared about was at the school yet. There weren't any vibrations from her phone so no one really needed her. As she walked into the school she saw Jason. Her asexual, unwanted, villainous, best friend. Dropping her bags she ran after him, channeling her inner demon. Then before he could react she tackle hugged him with all the strength she had.

Agatha knew full and well that tackle could have killed him, but she was gentle. Maybe. No she wasn't. She could have broken Jason. Looking at him, she smiled keeping her arms wrapped around. "Hey Jay. I hope you missed me." she said.

Leaving home to go back to school was far from emotional for Madison. Since she'd stayed at her parent's second house only an half an hour drive from the school, she hadn't gone home properly to England, she's just spent her time bitching at delivery men and playing with her cat- excluding all the nights she spent drunk or stoned. She'd barely seen anyone from school since, besides a couple of Facebook messages and phone calls, she'd been pretty out of touch with the few human beings she could stand in this disturbingly small world. She could have gone to England but her parents' were staying there most of the time and she had no interest in seeing them ever.

Back home, she only really lived with a couple of butlers and maids (since her parents avoided her like the plague) who she avoided conversation with- as far as she was concerned, the only person she owed a goodbye was her black cat- Bitchcraft, named due to the fact she was a vile creature to anyone other than Madison and it was Madison's favourite episode of American Horror Story. She smiled at the cat and gently stroked it's ears with the back of her finger listening to the animal purr softly in response. "Hey bitchy, make sure you put these guys through hell. I'll be back soon." she gave her beloved creature one last stroke than re-filled it's food tray, she'd already eaten but Bitchcraft was a bit of a food lover, so Madison considered the top-up a leaving present. She looked at the animal one last time and chucked it a ball from the sofa and then turned to head into the kitchen. She picked up the stack of bright luminous sticky notes of the side and scrawled across in the typical 'Gothic' mess that she could her handwriting;

'Hey bitches, I'm back to school, take care of Bitchcraft, next term she's coming with me just got to make some arrangements first. Bye sluts.'

Bag's geared up to the brim with her favourite things, she chucked them into the back of her Audi TT, it was bright red and the one thing her parents had truly considered when they brought her, they always went for the most expensive but when Madison told them specifically the type of car she'd wanted, they'd gone for it instead of getting something incredibly boastful to show off to their friends. Yes, the Audi was expensive but compared to her Father's Ferrari and her Mum's Mercedes, it was rather humble. She took her leather driving gloves out of the glove box and carefully slipped her hands into it, then she grasped the wheel, slammed down on the pedal and recklessly made her way quickly out of town. Since she'd stayed in her parent's second property, their Californian holiday home, she only had a brief drive which she appreciated because she was desperate to see Zoe, Jason and Deangelo. By the end of the fifth song on the album 'Sempiternal' she was at school and she'd parked up.

She climbed out, leaving her bags in the car deciding she'd deal with the burden of them later and with gleaming mischievous smirk, she stood up and looked around the property, she removed her sunglasses and chuckled to herself lightly as she watched children flying around trying to get to different places for certain times. She spotted a few people she recognised but not anyone she was immediately inclined to talk to but upon noticing Deangelo, she made her way over, sporting white high-waisted shorts and a t-shirt with the catchphrase 'Bite Me' printed on it with an aura of confidence and vanity you'd only see ever on Madison Grey. Walking easily in her heeled Chelsea boots, she ran over to greet him with a grin. It'd been way too long since she'd everyone here and the fact she was actually showing positive emotions was proof enough of this.

"Deangelo!" She called approaching him with her signature smirk of a smile glued to her pale pink lips. She brushed her straightened blonde locks from her face as she caught up with him. "How much have you missed me?" she asked jokingly with a confident grin.

Lance hated airplanes, even though he only had to deal with them only twice a year. They were cramped quarters, and the ceiling was too low for him to ever stand up straight. Quality of the campus aside, the school really saved a lot on plane tickets. On the bright side, at least his parents didn’t have to fork over any money for it.

It was amazing to see Montreal again for the vacation, but now was the time for Lance and his schoolmates to return to their studies down in California- hence the plane ride. Every time he boarded the plane, Lance wished his superpowers also included speed. Though he was probably the fastest natural runner in the school, he knew it would be impossible to cross the continent on foot within the two days the plane ride and the jet-lag recovery would take.

He actually never suffered from jet-lag. The rejuvenating effect of his power left him with great stamina. Most nights, he was merely doing what he did best, except in the darkness of night. The other passengers closest to him usually left the plane pumped-up and confident. One time, a gentleman with a crippled arm sat directly next to Lance, and later left the plane to find that he was able to bend his fingers again. Lance still hated planes for their cramped spaces and forcing him to sit still for hours on-end. He hated planes even when Lance saw his unintentional handiwork celebrate their good health by the time they disembarked.

His single duffel bag was picked up, and Lance left the airport with the bag slung over one shoulder, and the carry-on single-strap knapsack slung over the other. Most folks would assume he was a tourist, what with his lightweight attire, the pilot shades, and the fact that he packed light. In truth, the only stuff he brought was an empty water bottle, multiple changes of clothes, his phone, a tiny GoPro camera complete with SSD storage compatible with it, a very lightweight and sturdy laptop, toiletries, and a music player with an earbud headset that was designed for freerunners and parkour enthusiasts. Also packed was his wallet, which contained his passport and all the necessary things like cash he earned back in Canada and exchanged for US currency. Vacation time was always spent getting his cash reserves built up again.

Lance crossed the parking lot in as straight a line as possible. Oftentimes he performed simple safety vaults and lazy vaults over concrete barriers, as he was toting two bags at once. He wore a white tanktop alongside black, lightweight pants. His tattoos- which held the recent addition of the completed winged gas mask on his right shoulder- were in full view on his muscular, fat-free arms. On both wrists, he wore sweat bands that matched his pants.

At the edge of the parking lot was a car that, unlike the plane ticket, did not look cheap. Seated on the driver’s seat, the school physician greeted him. “Welcome back, Lance,” the older man greeted.

“Glad to be back, Dr. Payne,” Lance replied honestly as he loaded both bags into the trunk of the car. He closed it with a solid thunk, and then pulled his tall frame into the significantly lower passenger’s seat. Due to his abilities, he’s kind of a favourite student for the physician. Lance understood why, but it still made him feel awkward whenever he thought of himself being a teacher’s pet in any way. Sure he was a favourite among the students and was always the first one picked back in his old schools, but students were different from teachers.

“How was your trip?” the physician asked.

“It was just miserable, man,” he replied, "You know how much I hate planes."

“Anyone get healed during the flight?”

“Honestly, I’ve got no idea,” Lance replied. It was true that Lance didn’t know if anyone had been healed, but no-doubt the hours spent on the plane had allowed time for miracles to happen to someone who was aboard. He figured that if he kept this up for another three years, some statistics people would really notice a pattern happening aboard the same air route at the same two times of year. Fortunately, this flight was merely the second-last one he would take. When he went on his world travels, he swore to take boats instead if he needed to cross water. Boats were a lot roomier, and have far more interesting options for movement.

The ride was quick and quiet. Within the next half-hour, Lance spotted the familiar, unorthodox campus. Outside the ornate palace Lance had climbed repeatedly over the years were a few other cars, and many students who had already arrived, or had just arrived. Most recently was Madison. When Dr. Payne had parked his vehicle in his reserved spot, Lance hopped out and grabbed his gear.

He slipped off the pilot shades and hung them over his tank top collar before approaching Deangelo and the others. He became more cautious, but did not betray his pace when he saw that Jason was also there. From the perspective of the other students, compared to last year, Lance’s arms had significantly more ink. By the time he got within five metres of a person, they would feel a wash of rejuvenation, which Lance couldn’t help. “Hey guys, long time no see, eh?” he called in that baritone voice of his, while wearing that charming, carefree grin of his. There was a hint of French-Canadian in his dialect from his many months spent in the States, but he spoke clearly and deliberately, even with the slang he often employed.

"Kade, it's time to wake up sweetie." A familiar voice called out to her in her sleep. "You don't want to miss your flight and be late on the first day." Kade slowly opened her eyes to look up at her guardian. Her vision was blurred and she grabbed her glasses off of her night stand before clearly seeing her guardian stand before her with a plate of breakfast in his hands and her clothes laid out at the foot of her bed. Kade yawned and stretched before responding to him in her scratchy morning voice. "Good morning to you too, Gemini." Kade said even though it was close to midnight. Normally Kade was a night owl but she knew she wouldn't be getting much sleep on the plane s she went to sleep rather early. She found it humorous that Gemini made her breakfast at this hour. "We'll be leaving for the airport in an hour. Make sure you're ready before then." Kade nodded and Gemini set down the plate of breakfast on her lap.

Kade downed her food quickly and got out of her bed. She jumped into the shower for not even 5 minutes before she was done and then went back into her room down the hall with a towel wrapped around her body and her long, wet, brown hair hung over her right shoulder. Kade towel dried her hair in her room until it wasn't dripping wet anymore and got dressed. She threw on the clothes she wears almost every day and then put on her contacts before putting on a bit of make up. She examined herself in the mirror and then shruged. "Good enough." She grabbed her back pack and started stuffing it with her things like rolling paper, tobacco(Kade preferred rolling her own cigarettes because the ones she bought at stores tasted like chemicals), her favorite zippo, some back up clothes, some mma gloves, cds, and her laptop. Her other things like her Ford Raptor, guitars, and keyboard were already shipped off to the school.

Kade managed to get everything into her bag and closed it before running down the long spiraled set of stairs. She met Gemini at the bottom and jumped down to land in front of him. "I take it you're ready to go?" Kade nodded and the two went into his car parked outside on the curb. The two live in the wonderful city of Chicago in a warehouse type of building that her mother and Gemini used to share during their crime fighting days. Kade had to take a flight so late at night(or early in the morning) in order to get to California in the morning and then take a taxi to where her truck is. After that, she'd drive herself to the school. Kade made a mental note to buy lots of coffee and red bull.

Gemini drove her to the airport and the two stayed silent as they drove through the city to O'Hare Airport. The radio was on play WIIL Rock(Kade's favorite rock station) and she just stared out the window as she drove. She kept thinking about how weird Gemini's story is. He used to be a twin, his parents experimented on the two and gave them powers, they got dragged into the super soldier program and merged into one super badass super soldier. What Kade couldn't wrap her head around was the fact that the government isn't still looked for him. How was that possible?

"You know I can hear your thoughts right?" A sudden rush of red filled Kade's cheeks. "Sorry..." Gemini just smiled and shook his head as he pulled into the airport parking lot. He got her bag for her and looked at Kade like he was never going to see her again. "Well, I guess I'll see you next summer." Kade ran into him and wrapped her arms around him in a giant bear hug. "I'm gonna miss you, Dad." Gemini hugged her back and Kade took her bag and went into the airport occasionally looking back at him. She hated saying goodbye to him. He was the one that raised her like his own daughter and the two were really close. Kade sighed and went through airport security and hoped onto her plane. "California here I come..."

The flight there was awful. She had to spend hours in a cramped up space unable to get any sleep with people sitting way too close to her. The only positive thing about flying was the fact that the school paid for her ticket. Kade could easily just use her abilities to travel there but Gemini would never let her do that even if she is 18. Kade had to endure the dreadful flight until they finally landed and Kade could hightail it out of there. She met her driver and he took her to where her truck was. Now she just needed to drive close to an hour to get to the school. Kade made sure to load up on coffee and red bull before she began driving so she wouldn't end up falling asleep at the wheel(which has happened before).

Kade finally made it to the school and parked her truck where the student parking was. She saw Jason's car and groaned when she realized that Kai wasn't here. "Just great..." She pulled out her phone and sent a quick message to her brother. You better get here soon or you're dead. She got out of her truck and into the school with her bag slung over her right shoulder. She nodded at a few familiar faces and then spotted Agatha. She would've gone over to her if Jason wasn't there. She shot daggers at him when they made eye contact. Boy did she really hate him.

Image Kai got out of his bed and pulled his briefs up. His hair clung to his forehead with sweat as he breathed heavily and looked around the room for his case of water. He eventually found it and took a water bottle. It opened with a crack and Kai sent the bottle cap flying across around his room at high speeds using his abilities. Kai then took the opportunity to take a drink of his water and look down at his guest who was curled up in his bed with a devious little grin on her face as she looked up at him. "Well that was fun." He took another sip and handed the bottle over to her. Her hand reached up and grabbed it from him. She waited on her response and drank from the bottle slowly to toy with him. She knew Kai wanted to hear just how great he was in bed. "Indeed it was fun..."

ImageZoe sat up with Kai's bed sheet wrapped around her body. "Mind grabbing me my clothes?" Zoe asked him. He went around his room picking up her clothing off the floor and handed it over to her. "You're not bad for a freshman." Zoe laughed. "And you're not bad for an old guy." This caused Kai to laugh as well,

Zoe got dressed and then out of Kai's bed. She walked over to his mirror and fixed her smudged make-up and detangled her hair. Kai had left the room and hoped into the shower while Zoe finished getting ready and making herself look presentable for the first day of school. "Any tips for my first day?" Zoe asked him when he came back into the room with a towel around his waist. Kai looked at her and smirked. "Keep doing exactly what you're doing." He dropped his towel and began to get dressed. Zoe laughed and did the finishing touches to her make up before examining herself one more time. Perfect, you can't tell I just had sex with a senior. She thought as she peaked a few glances at Kai as he got dressed for school.

Kai threw on a nice white dress shirt, a pair of khakis, a green tie, a black vest, and a pair of nice dress shoes. He then went in front of the mirror next to Zoe and paid extra attention to his hair and making sure his tie was perfect. Zoe watched it all go down with a huge smirk on her face. She took a few steps back and let him do his thing until he finished. Kai then looked at Zoe through the mirror. "So how exactly did this happen?" He took out a cigarette and lit it with his zippo that had a playboy logo on the front.

"Well..." Zoe leaned onto the end of his desk. "We hung out at that one party the night before and had some fun." Kai nodded in agreement knowing exactly what she meant by 'fun'. "Smoke?" Kai handed the pack towards her and Zoe shrugged and took one. "Then I asked if I could come over last night to get a few tips on what to expect at the school." She put the cigarette in between her lips and Kai tossed her his zippo. "Thanks." She lit the end of the cigarette, took a drag, and let out a small cloud of smoke. "We ended up not talking about school at all and decided to just have some fun." She took another drag and blew out another cloud of smoke. "More than once."

Kai laughed. "That sounds about right." Zoe smirked and the two continued to smoke until they got down to the butt of the cigarette. Kai checked the time and then looked over at Zoe clapping his hands together. "Alright, you ready to head out for your first day?" Zoe nodded. "We'll just need to stop by my foster home to grab my stuff first."

They left Kai's mansion and avoided James(his guardian) at all costs so they wouldn't have to deal with any awkwardness. Kai already had all his stuff packed and in the back of his Plymouth Barracuda. Zoe's place was out of the way for the school but Kai didn't mind so much considering what went down all night. He took her to her place and she grabbed all her things before getting back into Kai's car. Kai then drove them to the school and his phone buzzed with a text from Kade. You better get here soon or you're dead. Kai would've laughed if it was anyone else but he knew his sister well enough that she actually would kill him; well, more of like seriously hurt him.

The two quickly made it into the school's parking lot and Kai parked his car. He stepped out and opened the door for Zoe. "Why thank you." Kai laughed and walked with her into the school. The two talked and laughed all the way into the building and spotted many familiar faces. The two the split off. Kai went to his sister and put both of his hands on her shoulder. Zoe went to where Jason and Agatha were smirking as she watched him get up from being tackled to the ground by a hug.

Tobias had never been so nervous in his entire life. He was walking through LAX in his best dress clothes- he hated dress clothes- at 7 in the morning. Tobias really just wanted to head to the school, but his dad had told him the night before that the head of the Heroes Alliance wanted to see Tobias at 7:15. Tobias had met the man they called 'Director' several times at functions with his parents. He had never been afraid to talk him, but this was different. People- much less high schoolers- didn't just get called for a meeting with the director, no matter how important there parents were.

Tobias knew the way to the Alliance headquarter. He had spent much of this past summer there. He was in line to begin training there to be a field agent after school, just like his parents did. The HQ was under the airport. He stepped in the correct elevator when no one else was around, typed in the correct combination of numbers, and waited as he descended to the floor the Director's office was on.

He stepped out of the elevator and approached the secretary's desk, palms sweating. He was gonna do something stupid. He knew it. He waited on her to look. When she did, he opened his mouth to say something, but she cut him. "Tobias! How are you? The Director told me to tell you to come on back when you showed up." Tobias nodded and looked past her. There was one door behind the desk. The door was silver titanium. On it was 'The Director's Office' in big bold letters. Tobias reached the door, and the secretary pushed a button to open it for him.

When he entered the room, The Director was facing the back wall watching several screens intently. Tobias took in his surroundings. The office was massive. The back wall was full of screens. The wall to the right was clear glass, over looking a very large, very nice training arena. The wall to the left was covered with pictures of the Director with other heroes. He spotted one of the Director with his parents. They were young, it may have been before Tobias was born.

"Ah, I see you found the picture of me and your parents," the Director cut into Tobias' thoughts. "We were best friends back at the school you know. I helped him save the world. I tell him all the time he should be where I am, but he prefers the field to being behind a desk. I get that. Your father is a man of action. Take a seat son, are you excited about your senior year?"

Tobias eased over to a chair near the head of the large table the Director had. "Yes sir. I can't wait to be at the school."

"I understand. I won't keep you long." the Director smiled at him, easing his nerves a little. He started again, "Your father tells me you are first in your class. Stay there. That's a big honor, and it will stay with you. Professor Ramsey says your class is the most talented at the school since me and your parents graduated. He also tells me that not everyone is planning on being a hero. That sounds just like our graduating class. We had several 'bad guys' with us. Those same bad guys ended being the ones me and your parents had to fight off a few years later. I want you to stay on your toes this year. If you need anything or see anything just call me."

"Yes sir, I will. I appreciate the support. I'll stay on guard." Tobias replied confidently. He wasn't nervous anymore.

"That's all son. I just wanted to see you personally before the year started. Go on to school," he said as he nodded towards the door. Tobias started to walk out before the Director stopped him one more time. "Oh and Tobias... keep an eye on Mr. Pierce for me." Tobias nodded and walked out. He felt important, like he had a mission. What if one day he saved the world like his parents? He couldn't wait to tell Amira, but should he? He would tell her and only her. He wouldn't even tell Kade and Lance about this conversation.

He got back to the his Camaro, and sped towards the school. Tobias was slightly star struck. 'All my hard work is paying off.' he kept thinking.

As Alex sat on the plane he looked he looked out the window, enjoying both the pleasant view and the fact that he had managed to get a window seat this time. As he watched out the window he sported a a small smile, the cause of which wasn't the pleasant view but the fact that he would soon be back in California and back at the school. He was looking forward to another year there, and was eager to get back on the ground so he could head over to the school.

Alex had attempted to catch a short nap on the flight but his excitement coupled with the snoring of a rather heavyset fellow in the seat next to him had prevented him from doing so. He looked over at the man beside him, and despite his snoring Alex was glad he had managed to persuade his parents from flying up with him, not that he really would've minded, Alex just felt it was unnecessary. When he had finally landed Alex grabbed the two bags he had brought with him, and started heading towards the parking lot. One bag was simply filled with what he'd need for the semester, some extra pair of cloths, some books, and his laptop. The other bag however was mostly filled with everything his plants would need over his time at the school, some seeds. a few flower pots, his gardening tools, and a few other essentials they might need.

Once he made it to the parking lot he found the car that his parents had arranged to be here and after placing his things in the car he started driving down to the school. Once he made it there he parked grabbed his things and made his way down to the school. On his way he spotted a group of other students with Lance, Agatha, and a rather attractive girl Alex had never seen before, most likely a freshman. Alex had briefly considered walking over and saying hello, until he noticed Jason and Deangelo. He thought better then to draw the attention of two of his tormentors this early in the year and instead he decided to keep walking. He quietly made his way into the building hopefully not attracting much attention on the way in.

Jason was looking around waiting for one of his friends to walk through the door when he spotted Agatha. She gave him no time to respond and tackled him towards the ground. The tackle knocked the wind out of him and he wheezed slightly at the impact. She kept her arms wrapped around him and looked up at him with a smile on her face. "Hey Jay. I hope you missed me."

"I did until you nearly broke my back." Jason pushed her off of him and sat himself up. He winced as he slowly brought himself up to his feet. "Were you trying to kill me?" He stood up straight and stretched his body. Thankfully she didn't break anything important and he was still functioning. His eyes caught with Kade and she gave him a dirty look. Jason returned it with a devilish smirk.

"So Bestia..." Jason brought his attention back towards Agatha. He purposely called her Bestia to annoy her and because he craved to see her let her demon out. "Did you enjoy your summer?" He fixed the sleeves of his shirt and ran his hands through his hair to get back to how perfect it was before he'd been taken down by a demon linebacker.

Just then, the two were joined by Jason's closest friend Zoe. "Well, if it isn't my favorite human in the world." He grinned at her. "Don't worry Bestia. You're still my favorite demon." He teased. She nodded at them but her attention suddenly fell on someone else that was walking behind Jason. Jason followed her gaze and looked over the back of his shoulder to spot none other than Alex Birch. Zoe was looking at him in a strange way that Jason didn't like so he made a mental note to torment him later today for it.

After being shoved off, Agatha got up and dusted herself. Quickly she jogged over to her bag and then she came back over as she watched a now irritated Jay get up with a groan. She might have hurt him. "I did until you nearly broke my back." That might have been purely Bestia. "Were you trying to kill me?" The demon child rolled her eyes. "If I wanted you dead you would be.." she muttered under her breath. He was blowing the tackle way out of proportion. He was fine. For now. But she kept a mental not of next time greeting him with a kiss on the cheek. Works the same on Jason without the threat of dying. "So Bestia..." Agatha growled. Jason was literally always trying to talk to Bestia. Only one person was allowed to do that. Agatha. Actually no. Agatha wasn't even allowed to talk to Bestia. Or even use him. Her powers were a level of illegal that she had been crossing since she was 10. And on top of that. Bestia should have killed her already. But back on topic. "Did you enjoy your summer?"

Running her fingers through her purple hair, she exhaled. "Agatha had a fantastic summer. Thank you for asking." Clearly annoyed with the fact that Jason was asking about the demon inside her. He was so annoying. Then Zoe showed up. Jason greeted her as his favorite human and then as Agatha/Bestia as his favorite demon. Her eyes were black for a moment and then her chocolate brown eyes were returned. "If you don't stop calling be Bestia, I will show you what I can do with my tongue." she said seductively. Jason was asexual and anything that has to do with sex usually made him uncomfortable. And it shut him. Aggie smirked a little. "Actually. Keep talking. It makes me want you more." She threw in a wink. That should keep him quiet for a little while.

Agatha's attention was now on Zoe. She smiled and gave like a half wave. "Sup Zoe." she said. Looking past Zoe she saw her fuck buddy Kai, her future wife Kade, and the ever so shy Alex. She would wave to Alex, but that would bring attention to him and Jason wasn't his biggest fan. But Aggie did wave to Kai and Kade. Then she decided just to text Kade instead of going over to her. Pulling out her phone she sent a quick message.
[To: My Future Wife]
[msg: Babe! I missed you!]

The message sent and she looked to the two friends currently around her. "We need to hurry up and unpack so I can mess with that bitch Amira's room before she gets here." She said eagerly, picking up her bags.

The young red head was currently sat on the edge of the windowsill, she was looking through the glass window admiring the students arriving from their summer away from the school. Unlike the rest of the student Amira stayed at the dorms rather than returning home, not many were aware that she refused to return home but those who knew just shrugged it off. Not many students remained at the school during the summer, which kept the campus pretty quite much to her liking.
It also enabled her to advance herself in her studies as well in her abilities. Although she did cause a few electronic failures throughout the building. The memory of the incident replaying itself in her mind.

Amira was sat in the living room along with about six other students who also did not return home for the summer, whilst she was currently reading a book, the rest of them argued amongst themselves about what they were going to watch on the television. Amira tried to ignore what was going on, but it wasn't exactly working which resulted in her getting rather annoyed. Electric sparks began to rivert off her body in response. She was about to leave when the remote control came flying at her, hitting her square in the face. Her whole body began to heat up with anger as the sparks of electricity emitting from her became stronger. The group of students looked at her in fear as the sound of the electricity got louder.
"YOU GUYS!" she screamed, her body seemed to release a lot of electricity all at once with the sudden outburst causing the whole school to result in a black out.

Chuckling to herself at the memory, she removed herself from the windowsill and proceeded to make her way towards the entrance of the school. Zero and the others would be here soon and she couldn't wait to see them. She hadn't seen Tobias since the few days she spent at his house with his family and it felt like forever since she spoke to him, although the spoke nearly everyday it wasn't the same as actually being there.

Once she made it outside she smiled to herself at the feeling of the sun on her skin, but her smile was soon wiped clear as she spotted the students that she was not looking forward to seeing this semester. Agatha, Jason and Kai. Safe to say they weren't at the top of her list, especially Agatha. She seemed to have a nasty habit of pulling pranks on her. Although there appeared to be someone she didn't recognise, it looked like a freshmen but she wasn't to sure, but if she was hanging out with that group it wasn't entirely good. Although she did spot a few students that she was looking forward to seeing.

Deangelo and Professor Ramsey didn't say much the rest of the car ride to the school. Admittedly, Deangelo was a little shaken up from getting shot at. 'Is that what my boys think of me? Do they really think I've just abandoned them? Nobody has ever asked me where I go. I thought they didn't care. Now they wanna shoot at me? Fuck that man. I just wanna make something of myself.' Deangelo couldn't shake the feeling that the place he grew up in was no longer his home. The only home he knew was the school.

They arrived at the school around 10:45. Deangelo was pretty beat, so he tossed his bag full of stuff over his shoulder and made his way to his dorm. He thought he was the only person there, so he was very surprised to see Amira's lights on. He thought about stopping by her room, but he wasn't in the mood. He didn't want to bring her down. He unlocked his new dorm room, slammed the door behind him, threw his stuff down in the middle of the floor, and sprung into bed. It didn't take time for him to fall into a steady sleep.

Deangelo woke up the next morning around 7. He looked around his new room and found everything very much to his liking. This room was bigger than the one from last year. His closet was huge. He had a window overlooking the gardens. Deangelo wasn't one for romantic scenery, but he had to admit that it topped last year's view of an open field of nothing but green grass. Deangelo made his way to the bathroom. It was pretty big too. He washed his face, splashing himself awake. He put on some cologne. He still had on last nights clothes, not that he much cared. It was the first day, and he didn't have anyone to impress that he couldn't impress later.

Deangelo made his way to the lobby by way of the stairs. The school had elevators, but Deangelo didn't mind the walk. He was moving rather slow this morning, still mulling through his thoughts of the night before. It had been a kind of wake up call' Deangelo had to become something. He had to make it in the world, not just for himslef, but for his sister too. He walked into an empty lobby. People would start showing up soon. He took a seat in the lounge room to the right of the lobby.

The first person to show was Jason. Deangelo would talk to him later. The next person who walked through the door was Agatha. Aggie didn't even notice Deangelo. She sprinted straight to Jason and did her best rendition of an NFL linebacker sacking a quarterback. This made Deangelo laugh. He sat around a little while longer before the person he truly was waiting for showed up. Madison Grey walked through the door. Madison had been the person he missed the most this summer in every way. He saw her once, but once was not enough. He needed what Madison gave him much more than once over a 3 month period. The end of last year had gotten pretty heated between the two. She was pretty much living in his room. No matter what the school rules said, the one about not being in the opposite sex's room after curfew wan't enforced. People thought all Deangelo and Madison did was fuck. While there was alot of that going on, sometimes they would lay up all night talking. Some nights they would sneak out and walk around the grounds. Deangelo missed that all summer.

He stood up, and it didn't take Madison long to spot him. "Deangelo!" he heard from across the lobby. Madison had a big grin on her face. That grin made him weak in places he didn't want to admit. He smiled back. "How much did you miss me?" she asked as she approached. "More than you know babe. More than you know. Deangelo responded as he gathered Madison into a hug. They went on to mindless, pointless chit chat about their equally boring summers. Deangelo had something important he needed to talk to Madsion about, but he couldn't do it here. He could wait until the night. "Come by room tonight will ya? You don't gotta stay. I just need to tell you some stuff." Deangelo said as their conversation wound down. He was sure she thought he meant to come by so they could hook up, but that wasn't what he had in mind for that night.

Lance ascended the front steps and pushed the huge mahogany doors with his free hand. He then crossed the lobby and ascended five flights of stairs. Last year, he only had to ascend four, but this time he would get slightly more training each and every day. His feet glanced lightly over every step as he practically flew up the stairs. He kicked off every wall that got in the way in order to maintain his momentum. He immediately set his record of ten seconds. Last year, it was eight seconds, as he had to climb less stairs.

Once he reached his dorm room, he slumped the duffel bag onto his bed and began unpacking. He slipped his change of clothes into the dresser and temporarily put the rest of his gear into the trunk at the foot of the queen-sized bed. He tossed the aviator shades onto the middle of the bed so he could take care of it later.

From the dresser, Lance slipped on a black t-shirt containing artwork of Jimi Hendrix. Every tee shirt he brought with him was a logo tee for an artist he especially liked, and he brought many of them as well as tank-tops.

Lance closed up the trunk and headed toward the lounge where most everyone else was. As he walked, he performed some shoulder-centric stretches.

Seniors… One more year, he thought, one more year and I see the world…

He was ecstatic that he was back in California. All his friends and other classmates were here, and the campus had many things he could climb over, around, under, and through. The mansion alone, Lance had climbed many times, much to the slight annoyance of some teachers. They knew about Lance’s interests and powers, so his antics have yet to have consequence.

Once he had arrived, Lance flopped onto an empty lounge chair and sank into it like a string of fresh pasta. His soothing green eyes scanned around, reacquainting themselves with the familiar faces they hadn’t seen for many weeks. He was too laid-back to instigate a conversation and was perfectly happy with simply lounging in the chair, even though two of the creepier classmates in the school were in the same room as him. Though they creeped Lance out something fierce, he still liked them... sorta... Well, more like respected. He didn't dislike anyone, really.

Akshaya was another one who stayed in the dorms rather than returning back to India. If she were completely honest with herself, she doubted she'd ever be ready to see Delhi again. Staying in America meant staying far far away from her parents, and that was a very enticing prospect. She was also not the only one to remain, she, along with Amira, had been amongst about six other students. Sometimes Akshaya wondered about how many of them seemed to have problems with their home life.

The morning the rest of the students were to return to the school, Akshaya had spent some time in her room. She hadn't called her little sister, the one taken in by nuns, for longer than she felt comfortable with. She lay on her back on the bed, and her voice could be heard outside her dorm room, in cheerful Hindi. Then she went quiet for a long moment. She sat up and asked a question, looking surprised. Then saddened. Another question came from the other end of the line, which Akshaya answered a little too quickly, forcing cheer back into her voice. Soon enough she hung up.

She knew that her youngest brothers were small when they last saw Akshaya but... She never imagined that someday, she may genuinely have siblings who didn't know her. That her departure may lead to her younger siblings forgetting all about her, even if she had joked about it when she first left. She could still remember them crying and wanting Akshaya, and only Akshaya, to hold them when they came to see her off. It'd been a challenge to balance one on each hip, along with her luggage, which only really consisted of one beaten up gym bag that a neighbour had kindly donated.

And now, they didn't remember her. Akshaya brushed some of her hair back behind her shoulder with a sigh. She... Wasn't sure how she felt about that. On the one hand, her brothers no longer knew her. On the other, if they didn't remember Akshaya, then they also didn't remember living with their parents, and she couldn't help but think that was a good thing.

She grinned at him happily and flung her arms around him pulling him into a tight hug. "Awh, I missed you too D," She chuckled lightly but she meant it and would admit to meaning it to but she figured he wouldn't ask anyway. Her summer had been pretty shit without Deangelo to talk to and mess around with (Not in that way necessarily) she hugged him tightly like good friends do when they are reunited- which was the situation exactly because Madison had never thought of Deangelo as just one of her 'fuck boys' or whatever, she genuinely cared about him which was more than she could say about the majority of the people she knew and that was because unlike most people, he could make her laugh, smile and didn't treat her like dirt on a shoe because they saw her veil of vanity and not the fragile character hidden deep, deep behind it.

"I can't believe we only met up once throughout the summer, next time- we're not seeing each other that little because my summer was ridiculously boring without the select humans I have taken a liking to in my short but eventful life," She stopped talking to listen to him though and she listened carefully without a word until she was certain of how he meant his words to come across.

"Come by my room tonight will ya', You don't gotta stay..." She didn't for a second think he was just talking about a hook-up here, she could tell- they'd had enough deep conversations and 'I need your support right now's as well as hook-ups to know the difference when he was inviting her over and she immediately knew this was something more important than hooking up and nodded gently. "Yeah of course, you okay?" she asked with a pressuring brow, she was sceptical but the question she asked didn't really mean what she said, it was more of a; "Will you be okay until we can talk about this?" just slightly more subtle for the sake of there being other people around them.

That was the thing about Madison, the first impression people always had of her was typically capable of being summarised as; Slut, naive, selfish, rich kid, snob. Although she wouldn't lie about loving sex, she wouldn't sleep with anyone she isn't really a slut and she's not selfish, she cares a lot for a few select people and she wasn't naive which is why she knew when Deangelo was asking her to come over, it wasn't just to get under the covers or anything. She wanted the chance to catch up with him anyway and it was Deangelo, so she was more than happy to go see him any time.

Akshaya sighed and ran a hand over her hair. She glanced at the door, before deciding, if she was going to be examining how she felt about this, she might as well make herself useful while she did. She got up, stretched, and fidgeted a little with her bright green sundress. With that set to satisfaction, Akshaya put the phone back on the reciever, and made her way through the school, waving briefly and smiling when she passed anyone she knew.

Soon enough, she found herself in the familiar setting of the dorm's kitchen. At this point, Akshaya was a regular face in there, and she knew the layout so well she could navigate it blind. The place looked clean and utilitarian, white on white on white, which wasn't Akshaya's personal taste when it came to interior decorating, but, she figured, what did she know. All Akshaya knew was that she'd rather rooms look lived in than so... Sterile.

She tapped her index finger on her chin.
"What would people like..." She muttered, in English. Her accent, without the effort she usually put in to hide it, was apparent, making the T in what more noticeable. She looked around the white cupboards, remembering what each contained. She decided something simple would be called for, something you couldn't really go wrong with. Sugar cookies. Decision made, Akshaya set to work gathering the ingredients, and set the oven to preheat.

Akshaya liked cooking. She liked the specific instructions to follow, being able to focus on getting the right amounts, and the simple feeling of doing something with her hands, like stirring, while her mind wandered. It also didn't hurt that the end result was edible. She mixed the baking soda and the flour in one bowl, and then turned to the next, a larger bowl. Akshaya carefully creamed sugar and soft butter together, and periodically lifted the wooden spoon she was using out. She nodded in satisfaction when the substance dribbled off the spoon, utterly smooth.
