Description

Mairjra Enverson

Picture Image

Race
Human

Magic
Destruction: A simplistic low grade type of black magic spell, gathering and condensing mana into his hand corrupting the flow of mana around himself firing a black blast with a diameter of 9 inches. The force of the corrupted mana is enough to blow a hole through walls and other surfaces, defensibly capable of putting a hole through another being. Although most of the power behind this attack is force, a small burst of heat is also created giving the attack burning properties but nothing like fire.

Double image, Double cast: A mid grade black magic spell, that drains more mana the longer you have it in use. Mairjra creates a split image of himself using mana, that has a telekinetic connection to his own mind. Allowing him to control and direct the second image however he sees fit, all the information gathered by the second image is also fed back to Mairjra. Using the mana from within the double image, Mairjra can cast the same spell he just casted from his own body without using extra mana to cast the second spell. This combination is used widely through combat to confuse enemy's unless they have a high sensory skills they would not be able to tell the difference between the double image and himself, however if you were to do enough damage to the double image it would fade.

Black Lightning Breaker: Focusing the mana within his body to form, the fabled black lighting. An extremely high grade elemental magic technique, creating a flow of black lightning throughout his body Mairjras movement speed and physical endurance increase five times as much than if he was not using the technique. This technique similar to Double image, will drain his mana for the duration of the spell due even with his high mana pools Mairjra can only keep the spell active for 7 minuets, anything after that will begin to destroy his flesh and bone due to the destructive nature of the black lighting.
Mairjra will only use this technique if he needs to get away or fight off a large group, other than that the use if this spell is completely limited.

Mass Destruction: A high grade black magic spell with low mana strain to the user. Creating 20 small orbs of corrupted mana, Mairjra launches them in to the sky above his intended target using the same method for the Destruction spell only firing each blast from the sky. This is more of a tactical spell, setting this up before a battle then executing the spell will have devastating effects on unaware targets. Mairjra normally fires all the blasts at once to get the most devastating results, although firing all blasts at once drains less mana than firing them separately because of the mana required to hold them in place

Deaths Dirge: A mana taxing spell that can only be used twice in one week if needed. Screaming out the phrase "deaths swift embrace" Mairjra engulfs the surrounding 600 meters in pure darkness. limiting vision of all within this feild except for himself, even mages with high sensory skills can not detect him, snapping his fingers swaying around in the center of the spell Mairjra sings as bolts of chaotic mana shoot out in every direction locking on to any different mana signatures ripping through them. Due to the massive amount of darkness produced by the attack, Mairjra will be too weakened to stand by the time the spell is over leaving it for dire situations.

Blade Waltz: A simplistic black magic spell requiring the blood and mana of the user. Slicing his palm open wiping his blood on the broad side of his blade channaling the mana around him creating 10 replicas of the weapon. These blades levatate behind Mairjra until he gives them a direct command, he commonly uses the blades to overwhelm his enemy. Command Death Waltz: Using this command to enhance his previous one, the blades become charged with mana making the blades glow and brightly shine the cutting power of the swords increase ten fold.
Command Electric Blades: Charging the Blades with electric energy giving them enhanced elemental attack. (Only used in Black Lighting Breaker)

Veraion Reflect: Channeling the mana around him into a shield protecting himself from enemy spells. The stronger the spell used against him the more mana he must waste to protect himself, if the shield is not strong enough to block the attack or weaken it. The mana used to create the shield will violently blast Mairjra back

Age

Personality
A lonely individual, devoid of most emotion Mairjra comes across as a arrogant, intelligent and a blunt speaker. No matter who's feelings are hurt or who ever toes he steps on Mairjra will get his point across no matter what, many say that his way of speech is hurtful and unnecessary some comments he should keep to himself people point out. Even members of nobility dislike his way of speech towards them, they feel as if he is speaking to them as if they are commoners. Mairjra is deeply analytic of the people and situations around him seeing that their is only hate and anger in this world, he approches it in the same fashion showing distain for the weak, and hate for the useless.

Brief Description
Standing about 5'11, and weighing 185 pounds Mairjra kept a slender athletic build during his stay with the Elf's as they were geared towards movement and hunting. Fair dark tan skin, and hazel brown eye's and long golden brown hair, keeping the attractive looks of his mother. Small scars running down his back from lashings when he was a aprentice of the Arch Mage but other than that no other part of his body is scared or damaged. Holding his long sword in a beautiful decorated sheath that rides on his back, given to him by the Wood Elf's.

Skills/Abilities
If Mairjra was not a mage he would defenatelly have became a swords man. His skill with the blade is unmatched among mages, using an up close style of fighting style keeping close to his enemy while using magic to knock down their defenses. He's studied the use of the long sword in combat and is an expert in its uses, as well as keeping the blade in good shape. Though being born from nobles Mairjra studies consisted of blacksmithing, hunting and magics Studies that most noble children would not even dare to look into because it brought shame upon their families.

Weaknesses
Nearly all of Mairjras spells draw upon dark energies, with persistent use of his spells his body will begin to weaken at a fast rate leaving him vulnerable after battle. And with the use of his stronger spells he'll be even weaker during the fight, slowing down his movements.

History

Being born of the Enverson family, a family mainly composed of mages , Mairjra was the first born son of the families leader. He was raised from a young age to become one with the mana and earth around him, although his father wished for his son to become a dyruid, Mairjra had other plans. From childhood to his early teens Mairjra gained his own perspective of the world looking at ones that could not weld magic as lowly beings, for with control over mana came power but he knew that the abuse of mana would lead to another Dark Prince. Learning basic black magic and elemental magic Mairjra departed from his family at the age of 10 to study under the Arch Mage Ketho, and with him Mairjra learned more about the manipulation of mana to change how it feels to corrupt and use it to his advantage. For six long and countless years Mairjra mastered some aspects of black magic and the manipulation of mana.

From Master Ketho, he moved on to study the world itself and the people that lived there. Traveling into the forests learning from the Wood Elf's how to hunt and effective swordplay and creation Mairjra spent 7 years beside the Elf's learning of their culture and ways. As he returned home from his long adventure way from home Mairjras father spoke with such joy and excitement as his son returned home, but he was different his attitude towards people change his view upon the world fixed in a new way. Mairjra only returned home to tell his father that he would be answering the call to arms, and to say goodbye if he was to never return.

So begins...

Walking forward, the clad gates of Aerios before him Mairjra sighs as he stood inline to enter the grand city built on the Dera waterfall. Warriors and mages across Terra all came together for this call to arms, though Mairjra knew that the men and woman standing besides him did not qualify to even stand near him. "All of them are weak" Mairjra thought to himself, the flow of mana around him was avrage no one stood out even the warriors shook as they stood in line, fear he smelled and only pity he felt for the ones around him. His eyes peaked open as the gatekeepers called for him, sighing and walking forward slowly he approached rolling his shoulder back "Stop!" the keepers commanded "You don't even look capable of taking on a normal fighter, how do you expect to fight the Dark Prince". Laughing hysterically "do you care to test my power" Mairjra said, and with that instant before he could even move he was surrounded, acting startled Mairjra dropped his sword allowing it to slice into his palm. "See..." Before the guard keeper could even finish his sentence, replicas of Mairjras blade were at the necks of his attackers motioning his hand down sending the blades into the feet of the men around him "oops, it seems like I dropped something" laughing again he continued forward as the gates open.

Even inside of the city lines of men and women lead out of Inns and Blacksmith shops, sighing once more walking up to the Inn making his way into the least populated one dropping a coin sack on the front desk sanching the key to his room out of the Innkeeps hand heading into the room upstairs. Throwing his blade on the bed relaxing, for he knew the summons wasn't for another day.

Removing his blade from the sheath, Mairjra wiped his own blood from the broad end of his long sword, "A perfect display of deception" he thought to himself staring into the now shined bloodless sword with a smile thrusting it into the air with a look of anger but calmness. Sighing he rose off of the bed throwing the blade in between the hay and silk bed, walking toward the door grabbing the key from out of his pocket locking the door slipping the key back into his pocket fixing his golden brown hair as he exits the Inn. Although he was tired from his adventures from across Terra, Mairjra did not feel like resting would be the best thing to do the town was busting open at the gates with new arrivals every second people that he didn't even think to pass through the gateway test. Walking by a particular girl, a Larthos a race rare to see in human cities because of the hole Dark Prince Crises. But as Mairjra passed her he felt a large source of mana and energy built up in her chest, with a second glance she was not to far off but fighting a possible ally wasn't worth it.

Walking ahead of the girl heading to the cities enchanter, making his way through the crowds in Aerios passing by another group feeling the heavy grasp of a large Nerion as he tossed Mairjra into the air. "Well starting a fight already" he clearly spoke as he gracefully landed, the throw wasn't well placed nor good so Mairjra had more than enough time to redirect his weight to land softly. Dashing towards the huge Nerion standing at 8'5 slamming his palm into his gut with little impact, widely opening his dark eyes yelling the name of the black magic spell aloud "Destruction", A dark ball of corrupted mana coursed its way into Mairjras hand pushing the Nerion back just a tad bit. Once again putting on a show, Mairjra frowned and acted as if the spell wouldn't work, as the Nerion thought he gained the upper hand swinging down his war hammer, Mairjra fell backwards snapping releasing the blast from the built up mana in the Nerions gut blasting a hole right through it. Smiling as he got back up firing the spell once more into the head of the downed beast to finish it off, continuing on his path.

Entering the enchanters shop, Mairjra smiled and greeted the women with a pleasant look motioning her towards him.

Speaking softly "Miss may I have a reenchantment on my ring please" he said eyeing the woman up and down, average he thought to himself just a normal commoner average size look and everything nothing about her appealed to him

Walking towards Mairjra she asked "What type of enchantment?" "mana storage" he promptly responded running his hand through his golden brown locks. Tossing her the ring and a sack of coins, Mairjra walked into the lounging area of the shop sitting until his enchantment was done

(Just something you should know. Laevatein isn't constantly on Aeka's arm. It's only there when she summons it.)

"Yeah, that was it! Anyway, he wants you to-" The sound of an angry shout and breaking glass cut Aeka off and, to her surprise, a shower of blades peppered the rooftop where the man she'd been sent to fetch had just stood. Angrily, she glared across the way.

"Hey, what the hell's your problem?!" Aeka shouted, summoning Laevatein once again and aiming it directly at the man in the inn room across the way. Charging her power through it, a silver glow began to emanate from the barrel as she powered up a spell. Like hell she was going to let some random attacker - probably an assassin of some sort - kill the person she'd been sent to fetch! Not on her watch! Immediately, her weapon unfolded, and she ramped up its power to maximum.

"Astral Flare - Gungnir!" She chanted, casting her magic. A gigantic spear of celestial white flames tore forth from the giant weapon, ripping across the alleyway and rocketing right for the man's window. It didn't occur to her that she would probably blow up most of the inn, throwing around powerful magic at maximum strength, but right now, she was pissed off, and rightfully so, in her opinion.

Aeka might have followed this spell up with another - or five - but just then, the sound of cracking roof tiles got her attention. Turning, she saw the Mire Born fellow she'd been sent to find hanging precariously from the edge of the roof. Thinking quickly, she began channeling her father's soul in addition to her own, activating a reinforcement-type soul manifestation. "Grab my hand!" She shouted, reaching down with her free arm while keeping Laevatein trained on the building across the way, a Spark Breaker simmering in its barrel, ready to fire. If he took her arm, she'd be able to pull him up with ease. Such was the strength bestowed on her by her reinforcement magic.

She sighed. Did everything have to be solved by blowing someone away with Laevatein these days? There was a crowd gathering on the streets below, and, although they probably couldn't see her from there, if the inn exploded it would be kind of hard slipping away without anyone noticing.

"Hey, what the hell's your problem" the Larthos called out, calling upon a large cannon like weapon over her arm. The weapon was huge from Mairjras perspective it was weighed more than her entire body. As her wings fluttered, she kept her balance raising the weapon facing the Inn window, "Astreal Flare - Gungnir" she shouted firing a charged silver blast of heat and fire from the barrel of the cannon. Feeling the large amount of mana being built up and launched at him, "Veraion Reflect" Mairjra called out bracing himself for the intense fire and heat the spell produced. The shield formed a frontal cone around his body dropping to one knee as the flame rushed around the shield, "holy shit Mairjra" thought, "the destructive force of this spell is pretty high" .He knew that whom ever was attacking him knew alot of destructive magics, but with a high attack defending would be much harder, although thoughts of quickly ending the conflect with that spell came into mind.

Clenching his fist in anger connecting his mind to the 10 blades that attacked the suspected thief sending five of them toward the Larthos, swinging one behind them swinging it into her back and the other four attacking from the front. While spearing the other five toward the other man, as his opposes spell ended he got off of his knee snatching a spare blade off of the floor jumping out of the window targeting the Larthos "Destrution" Mairjra yelled firing the blast of chaotic mana out of his palm while the blades surrounded her.

Charging more chaotic magic sending into the area behind them preparing a much more destrutive spell, Mairjra knew the ins and outs of fighting against other mages he had never encountered one with such powerful magics with large affects. Most Elfs had very pinpoint attacks rather than over a large area, Mairjras shielding spell would not be able to handle such a strain from these attacks repeatedly. His face was blank as he free fell backwards looking up to the Larthos

Veida was awakened by a faint yelling and the unmistakable sounds of a fight. She was up in an instant, rushing over to the window, which had a view of the buildings across the street. On the roof of one, a fight had broken out. Veida turned around and rushed out of the room, running her hands through her short electric blue hair.

"Mina! Be right back!" she called to her cousin. No response.

Out the door she ran, dodging a few people on the street as she made her way to the building. It was an inn. People walked in and out casually, only a few glancing up at the scuffle on the rooftop. Veida pushed past them and into the alley next to it.

Not wanting to be seen, she continued until she was behind the building. Veida opened her water skin and drew out two equal streams, which she froze into spikes.

The building wasn't too tall; it would only take a moment to heave herself up there and investigate the action. Veida licked her lips and stabbed one of the spikes into the wall. Not too hard; people on the inside wouldn't see. But it was stable. Next spike. She placed her foot against the wall and stabbed the first spike up higher. This was how she made her way up to the rooftop. It didn't take long, like she'd thought.

Moments later, she was on the roof, the water back in its pouch. She took a second to observe the scene. Looked like a good fight if she'd ever seen one. She had, of course.

Veida summarized the scene. Blades, Larthos, rugged-looking guy, and... Nerion? It looked more human than most. She mentally shrugged it off. Now then...

"'Ey! What in the holy hell's going on up here?"

To Aeka's surprise, her attack didn't even seem to slow her enemy down, his many blades erupting from the midst of her flames and shooting straight toward her. Thinking quickly, the Soul Alchemist channeled her magic to the very tip of Laevatein's gargantuan barrel, forming a makeshift blade of energy. Slashing it across the path of the oncoming swords, she cut through their mana and scattered them in pieces of the earth below. Raising her weapon, she was just preparing to fire when she heard something behind her - the cracking of roof tiles. On top of this, a breeze was ruffling her feathers - a breeze moving counter to the direction of the natural wind. That meant... A projectile! Behind her! Flinging herself to the side, she managed to evade the fatal surprise attack by mere inches, its blade cutting across her sleeve but doing little real harm besides a scratch. The contact was so brief as to be inconsequential, so the Alchemist had a great deal of hope that even if the blade were cursed, or some such, she had likely gotten off unscathed by her opponent's mana. However, watching the blade as it flew showed her that there was a greater problem. Her enemy had now fired off yet another attack, this one looking to be made from some sort of weird energy. Well, her Spark Breaker had been somewhat weakened by contact with an opposing mana field, but she still had enough power left to defend herself. Raising her weapon, she lined up a shot on both the flying blade and the oncoming destruction spell. Leaping into the air, she fired Laevatein, letting the kick of the weapon carry her flipping backward, just out of range of the two attacks as they collided, her own spell exploding in a blanket of flames and shattering the last sword to bits whilst also breaking apart her enemy's spell, neutralizing itself in the process. These flames would hopefully conceal her from the view of the person who had just come to investigate while she made her getaway with her injured target.

The force of her backward flight had just carried her off the edge of the roof by the time her backflip had completed. Spreading her wings at this exact instant, she dismissed Laevatein, converting her soul back to a reinforcement-type manifestation as she stopped in mid-air, winding her arms beneath Mire's shoulders, thereby allowing her to securely pick him up without knocking him off the building. She secured her grip just in time, for the flames would be scattering any second now, once again exposing them to view. With a single, powerful flap of her wings, she launched both of them violently upward.

"Hang on tight! While I'm sure running off like this goes against some sort of tenet of honor of yours, or something, I'd really rather not stick around until the authorities show up and arrest me for trying to blow up a crowded inn with powerful magic," The Alchemist said, grinning sheepishly as her long, dark hair fluttered about in the wind, she leveled out their flight, settling for gliding through the air toward where she'd gotten involved in this whole mess, carrying her charge below her.

"Geez. I guess you've made some enemies already, haven't you?" Aeka noted.

"'Ey! What in the holy hell's going on up here?" A young looking girl with electric blue hair spoke

Mairjra laughed slightly as the Larthos was able to defend herself from the flurry of attacks, she cleverly dealt with the blades quickly but the Nerion wasn't so lucky, being impaled by the swords. While the smoke created from her defensive attack blinded him for awhile Mairjra knew that they would attempt to make an escape, however that being the case he would allow them to leave with their life. He also came to the conclusion that the Larthos would attempt to save the dying Nerion, so catching them really would not be a problem but the considerable implications of the two kills would end up harming his main quest. Slamming into the ground from the impact, looking up toward the roof as the smoke cleared the Larthos carried the suspected thief in hand flying back then away from the roof tops. Spiting out blood gripping his blade standing up, by the time he arose a crowed of people gathered around the sight of combat, darting his eyes toward the Inn-keeper that stared him down "I shall pay for the repairs" Mairjra spoke jumping up and casting destruction once again toward the ground to propel him up on the roof.

Gently landing upon the roof top with a angry look written across his face, walking toward the blue haired girl throwing his blade into the roof extending his hand "Mairjra is my name, and if your wondering whats happening a thief attempted to break into my room" Mairjra spoke with excellence and poise standing tall, "and you are?" he attempted to keep a noble's figure through out the talk but that failed quickly as he smiled briefly. Nice hair he thought, a more built body than from what he has seen, but the part that hooked him the most was that the young lady standing in front of him was an Elf, one that still smelled of the forest in which he spent many years of his life. Still wondering why would a High Elf stay so close to the wood land forest, shaking his head as the many questions ran through his head wondering what family was she from, and most of all why was she in this city. Aerios was where the call to arms was held, the Elf didn't look like she could handle the ranks of the Dark Prince, sighing he awaited her response.

Veida almost smiled slightly at the man. She took his hand and shook it gently, using her other hand to brush a strand of hair from her face. "Hello Mairjra," Nice name, she thought. "My name is Veida Cyrus." She was slightly impressed with his posture; it reminded Veida of her parents and how they acted around fellow prominent mages. She wasn't expecting to meet such a person. He held his head high, and his back was straight as if he himself was born into nobility, though Veida knew it was unlikely. He looked too... rugged. But Veida was still sure that he had some likable qualities. He'd already proved himself to be a hell of a fighter. He would be a good contribution to the cause of defeating the dark prince.

"Theif, huh? Well, looks like you took care of that problem pretty well."

"Well yes, but he isn't quite dead yet... but whatever if you wish we may continue this conversation somewhere that is more fitting." Mairjra spoke once more grabbing his blade out of the roof top, jumping off of the side of the building landing gracefully. The Elf interested him well enough for him to carry on a conversation with, but once again he would be on the move, the guards wouldn't over look the mass destruction that he had caused. "Head to the enchanters shop on the other edge of the town, meet me their" Mairjra yelled taking off into the other direction. Turning around the next corner slamming his hand into the first guard that tried to grab him, flipping over the next one sprinting across the town then launching himself over a small brick wall.

Even with the noble status, being taken by the city guards wouldn't be helpful to his cause. So instead of showing his face Mairjra took to the allay ways and kept his head down, taking a longer path to a get to the enchanters shop. But Mairjra was glad with the encounter today, he got a feeling for fighting against someone else with magic a task he hasn't completed in years, although his opposition was sloppy he carried a sign of respect for how she combated against him. He hoped he would get to cross her path again in combat, she was a capable fighter and really damn strong for a woman but he expected nothing less from a Larthos. They were a powerful race one that was adept in magics, but today was his first fight with one Mairjra was happy with how today went. The mana hungry sword he bought, pulled the mana from the surrounding area including Mairjra he only knew that releasing the blade would improve its battle capability.

Keeping his cloak up darting into the enchanters shop, waving hello to the Shop-Keeper "Is my ring finished" Mairjra asked trying to keep a conversation until the Elf arrived, both the human girl from before and the High Elf were no where around instead a new shop keep stood in place fetching the ring.

Veida sighed as she watched the man, Mairjra, jump off the roof. She didn't need to look to know that he'd be attacked by guards any second. She shrugged. She had faith that the man wouldn't get caught. However, she'd be disappointed if that happened. Nonetheless, she wasn't worried. Veida turned and jumped nimbly down the back of the inn. She landed almost silently, on the tips of her toes, even though there was no need to. It was just a habit of hers.

Now then, she thought. The enchanter's shop. He said the other edge of town, right? She shrugged again and, shoving her hands in her pockets, strode briskly down the streets. She turned a corner every now and then, hoping she'd end up at the right place. After minutes of walking, she ended up outside the door of a building. It clearly said "Enchanter" on it, but she fretted. What if there were more than one? What if she was in the completely wrong place? What if he's waiting?

She frowned and strode inside, confident. Veida smiled with relief when she saw Mairjra inside. Walking up to him, she waved slighlty. "Made it."

"Hello Elf" Mairjra clearly addressed Veida, taking the newly enchanted ring from off the table, making his way to the waiting area plopping down looking at veida from a distance. Even from where he sat she looked pretty, almost as good looking as the Larthos from earlier Mairjra laughed at his own observation. A man trait, thinking back to when he lived with his old master, the man showed Mairjra how to observe the surrounding area and people giving him the slanted view on the world that he has today. Sighing as he gazed at her for awhile then switching his stare to another part of the room, her blue hair was unnatural for an Elf to have but the bright blue eyes drew him in, the thirst for mana that Veida's eyes held was amazing to Mairjra. Sitting up in more of a presentable fashion remembering that he was in the presents of an High Elf. "So we already have gotten off to a bad start, again my name is Mairjra Enverson. From the Enverson line of mages, I am the leading son of my noble family" Mairjra spoke clearly and articulately, casting his leg up on top of his knee.

"If I may ask, what is your family line?" Mairjra asked trying to retain some type of connection with the girl, as the words left his mouth he wondered. Why in the hell did she come all this way to speak to a stranger, someone she's never met before is my formality that great he thought to himself. Or maybe the looks I give are not threatening, rolling his shoulders back as he thought looking back to the girl with a smile. Most Elfs wouldn't carry a conversation this long with a human, they had a deep rooted distrust for Mairjras kin, again for some reason Veida came to talk to him.

Enverson... Veida pondered as she sat next to her new acquaintance. She was positive she'd heard that name before. She dismissed the nagging curiosity. Veida didn't really dabble in the social and political matters and facts of humans.

Answering Marjra's question, Veida smiled and replied, "I'm the third eldest child of the Mage clan Cyrus. We have a natural affinity with water, so that's my main power. Most of my family lives in a city not too far from here, but I preferred to live out with nature. Helps me concentrate on my magic. I do come to the city every once in a while to compete in tournaments and such, though, but I don't really enjoy crowded places." She tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and then crossed her hands on her lap. She'd never been a fantastic conversationalist, but she certainly hoped she wasn't boring Mairjra.

A High Elf that stays in nature Mairjra thought to himself, it was odd to have a occurrence like that. Since most High Elf's came from some type of nobility it was strange for one to live out in the forested areas, cause most Wood Elf's called that place home none the less the new person he met was more than interesting. As Veida sat back and pulled the loose strands of blue hair behind her pointed ears, Mairjra spoke softly "So you must be a strong magic user, am I correct?" continuing to say "Magically capable, sorta attractive, smart looking and a Elf." He laughed with the last two statements. Although Mairjra's charismatic nature poured out as he spoke cleverly stringing together words and statements, he felt out of place as if he was speaking to a long lost friend one he never had. Though thoughts like that never lasted to long, Veida kept him interested and talking, maybe cause she reminded him of a old friend. "I have to say, I've never seen one from your family, nor herd of them. Don't take offence to my words, I'm just used to Wood Elf's" Mairjra spoke again sitting up straight.

From behind the counter the man he bought the sword from made his way toward the pair, and with a sigh he spoke " What the hell, are you doing here. You cause chaos at the Inn and then hide out in my shop" The High Elf seemed angry. And before Mairjra could even speak to defend himself the Elf shook his head at Veida "And you, befriending a human. Do you not know what kind of suffering they bring". Mairjra knew something like that would come up in this conversation, some Elf's held hate and resentment towards humans still, the Dark Prince divided the races and brought them to hate each other. Although most humans gave up on the hate and prejudice, the other races did not especially older Elfs. Feeling annoyed with the man already Mairjra darted his eyes away shaking his head, at this point speaking would lead no where so ignoring the Elf was the best possible out come

Veida smiled and shrugged modestly at Mairjra's remarks, a discreet pink hue coming to her cheeks. She was acting unusual, she realized. Usually her ego would have created a somewhat conceited response. But for some strange reason, she was different around Mairjra. Veida disregarded the odd feeling.

An angry High Elf appeared from behind the counter. Veida tensed, prepared for a confrontation of some sort. She was appalled at how he spoke to Mairjra. When he spoke to her, Veida felt her blood begin to boil.

She unclasped her hands and sat straighter, regarding the older High Elf with an icy glare perfected by years of practice on her opponents. "Look here," she hissed. "The people I chose to befriend are none of your god damn business, got that? So screw off before I make you eat your words, peon!" She'd never actually spoken this foul to anyone before, and she had certainly doubted the first person she would speak like that to wouldn't be a fellow High Elf. But, a lot of things were happening so far that day that she hadn't expected.

His brow razing slightly with a grin, watching how Veida addressed her fellow Elf. Mairjra didn't expect her to defend him, but also the language she used to insult the man also struck home. Reminding him of the times of when his father would speak to the peasantry that miss behaved, Mairjra also learned how to insult someone below him in the same matter but ever had the chance. But Veida's words sliced through the air as she spoke, as if they had more of an affect than he actually expected. With a deep sigh the High Elf spoke " Begone from this place..." from their he took his leave walking into the back of the shop, and with a shrug Mairjra stood putting the hood from the dark green cloak above his head. "We should go, does the pub sound nice to you? I need something to eat" Mairjra stated making his way toward the door not looking back to see if she was following, he felt nothing but hate and annoyance for that shop-keep. Being kicked out and back into the open wasn't the best situation for him, the guards would be searching for him.

As the door swung open night was beginning to fall, the sky was dimly lit with the light from the sun as it set over the horizon. Keeping his head down, walking between crowds of people heading toward the pub watching as a line to get in extended into the streets of Aerios. Picking his eyes up slightly squeezing between two men entering the pub quietly, great Mairjra thought this place is packed sighing and making his way to a table across from a strange looking animal and a elf. Mairjra closed his eyes laying the blade he bought beside him, as he started to drain the mana from area around him gently tugging on the magical flow in the area so slightly just small enough of a pull to not affect anyone around him.

Veida nodded, fuming, and she followed Mairjra out of the damned shop. She was actually slightly pleased that he had wanted to keep up the conversation, despite the fact that she almost completely lost her temper. Shoving her hands in her pockets and adjusting her unruly hair yet again, she strode along after him. She hadn't been to a pub before, honestly. Spending most of her time in the great outdoors had taken a toll on her streetsmarts. Then again, how bad could it be? She kept her eyes on Mairjra, whose head was down, and tried to keep up with him reasonably.

Upon entering the pub, Veida couldn't help but stare at the place. There were some rugged, rougish characters here and there. They reminded her of pirates from the stories she read as a child. She smiled at the comparison. Suddenly feeling awkward and uncomfortable, she crossed her arms and sat across from her companion. Leaning forward and propping up her head on her wrists, she looked about some more, then spoke. "I've never been to such a place. It's... different."

"No place for a noblewoman" Mairjra laughed dropping the hood to his cloak relaxing back in the chair, he kicked his foot onto the side of the table sliding his blade under the table. "Now then. I take it that someone as good looking as you is engaged to be married to some magic user" He spoke sarcastically and with a small smirk, looking past Veida into the commotion of the room, tones of men and woman gathered in the pub drinking and having a merry time. Mairjra was never a drinker, even when it came to fine wines, he refused although it helps to clear the mind with magic uses he found that being dependent on such a substance was for weaklings. Pulling back his brown hair moving it from in front of his brow. "You remind me of someone... It haunts me to think of it but you do" He spoke softly looking into Veida's eyes, then darting his eyes away from her.

He felt relaxed for some reason, but Veida looked nothing like the Elf from his past she was different in every way but Mairjra found a small similar look in her eyes. A look of determination and perseverance looking up to her again "Are you going to fight against the dark prince" Mairjra spoke softly resting his hands on top of the table

Veida simple shook her head in response to Mairjra's first statement. Her parents had attempted to match her with other prominent High Elves, and they had been rather attractive, but Veida saw that on the inside they were conceited and hungry for status. She frowned, shrugging off the memories. Veida crossed her legs under the table and sat back, looking about, making sure not to make eye contact with any of the pub's brute patrons. She worried the hem of her jacket as her gaze finally came to rest on the table before her.

At Mairjra's question, she looked up at him. "Yes... I'm guessing you are as well?"

Laughing slightly with a half concerning grin "Why?" Mairjra spoke, he honestly wondered why Veida would be out on the hunt for the Dark Prince. He knew that she would be capable in combat, but against the dark prince anything you've done means nothing not only being THE most powerful mage of all time, why would Veida a simple High Elf join the hunt. From Mairjra's perspective he would give the girl about 7 seconds before her mana was ripped from her body, he knew all the negative thought wouldn't help but that's all that flashed through the depths of his mind. If the Dark Prince was already resurrected Mairjra knew chances of victory were slim, hell the chances of them making it to his fortress would be even slimmer.

Looking back up to Veida "Look, I don't want to discourage you, Veida you are a fine mage from what I can tell. But what you'er getting into can and most likely will be the death of you." Mairjra spoke bluntly no hint or vibe of emotion in his words just pure facts, he honestly thought the girl would not make it even if she showed some kind of magical talent. Veida felt too vulnerable, and trusting traits you shouldn't have in a time like this, but Mairjra respected the fact that she would even try an fight against the dark prince. The drive and faith in her own ability shined in Veidas bright blue eyes, catching himself from looking for too long.

"As for me...I have no reason to live, so I rather die fighting against the darkness that the Prince Draco would bring to the world we take for granted. I've lost the only ally's I had, with an encounter against his followers...I killed every single of them slowly dismembering them for what they did to my friends, I made them suffer but at the same time I delved into my own personal darkness. Although I am the head of my family I wish to find something to live for rather than die. The one you remind me of I lost her during that time." Mairjra Spoke clearly, softly and elegantly you could feel the power and emotion in the words. He looked away from Veida, the expression on Mairjra's face could only be described as an inner torment. The words that he spoke were truth no reason to hide anything from anyone, and he finally noticed that he had found someone else he could connect with a elf none the less. Tapping his fingers on the table, after all the feelings were flushed from his mind Weakling the sound of his masters words echoed through his head, than his own voice spoke these words.

"Opening up to a complete stranger, I'm I really that hopeless" Mairjra spoke aloud glancing at Veida.

Veida blinked and said nothing at first, surprised at the emotion Mairjra's voice portrayed, speaking as one who had suffered much in his life. She tilted her head forward, her blue hair falling in front of her face. Mairjra had obviously been through much, more than Veida would. She wasn't surprised when he spoke of his reason for fighting. As for herself... she did have a reason. Not one that was really reasonable, but it still counted. She knew it wouldn't be appropriate to say, especially in such a delicate situation. After a few more moments, she smiled weakly and spoke.

"Not hopeless. Just..." she paused, searching for a reasonable term. "Trusting. That's not really a bad thing. Besides, we're not complete strangers anymore, are we?" She joined her hands and laid them on the scarred wooden table.
