h a i r x // xAdrianna hair is chestnut brown hair with lighter brown and dark blonde highlights. Her blonder locks are from hair dye, which she does monthly. Her hair has a natural wave, but has been known to use a hot iron to make her waves and curls more prominent. Her hair goes straight when wet, losing any curls or waves instantly.

e y e s x // xGrey-Blue

o d d i t i e s x // xAdrianna has no tattoos nor does she desire any. She's never seen the point in marking her own skin with ink. She has only basic ear piercings and, similar to her thoughts on tattoos, doesn't see the point in putting more holes in her body. Her body lacks any scarring or blemish, keeping to her skin regimen. Although she does have a birthmark on her right hip that resembles a feather.

a p p e a r a n c e x // xOften described as a boy's wet dream, it's been said Adrianna should be Aphrodite's daughter instead of Hera's. Adrianna is the type of beautiful to make you stop and look. With perfect skin, hair, and a slightly curvy figure, she doesn't have to try to be beautiful. Adrianna prefers to keep herself always presentable; you'll never see her without makeup or perfectly done hair.

True to her wealthy lifestyle, Adrianna is always dressed to impress. She often wears designer or brand name clothes, all which suit her to perfection. Her style is very much on the feminine side in whatever she wears. Adrianna follows the motto of looking good no matter what you're doing. Even if she is spending the day at the gym, she will make an effort to look presentable. While she likes to look good, she believes in function too. She may love heels, but wearing them everywhere is not appropriate, or comfortable. Short dresses, skirts, or shorts are common for her. She likes a summer kind of look.

c u n n i n g x // x Adriana usually gets what she wants, typically through lies and trickery. It could've been because of her parentage or the way she was raised, but Adrianna owns it.
l y i n g x // x Adriana has skilled tongue when it comes to lying. Her lies always sound genuine and it's difficult to tell when she's not telling the truth.

c o m b a t x // x Adrianna hasn't fought a day in her life and coming to camp has helped her somewhat, but she's not a front lines fighter. More like the fighter you call in if all the others aren't available. She can defend herself against an average human, but against anything higher she's useless.
c o n n e c t i o n s x // x Most due to her upbringing, Adrianna doesn't know how to make sincere connections with others. Genuine and true friendships and relations are a foreign concept, one she is still learning.

d e a t h x // x although she hasn't experienced a traumatic loss, Adrianna has heard the stories of what happened to past campers at Camp Athens. She worries if being at this camp will kill her like others were.

P E R S O N A L I T Y
xxxxβ€’ x Ambitious x β€’ x Social Butterfly x β€’ x Jealousy x β€’ x Untrustworthy x β€’

Constantly described as a 'go getter,' Adrianna has a high level of ambition. Any project taken by her will be done to perfection, or what she considers perfection. Adrianna is a hard worker and will only work harder if the task is more difficult than usual. Failure is seen as her enemy so even simple passing is not good enough for her. If whatever she's doing isn't praise-worthy, it's not her best. Her need to succeed can be detrimental to her health. She's been known to sacrifice sleep and meals in order to keep working or training. She's an amazing producer, but her workaholic nature can make her unbearable for the people around her.

Adrianna is naturally very outgoing and social. She loves to be around other people and talking to them. Her childhood was filled with work and studying so whenever she got to be around people, it was like being set free from a cage. She would get so excited to be around people and would go from person to person trying to know as much about them as possible before having to go back to work. Adrianna can have a conversation with anyone and is very charismatic. However, like a butterfly, she doesn't stay around too long. She's not there long enough to make it mean something. She goes back and forth, not making enough of a connection to want to continue the conversation later.

Despite not spending a lot of time with her true mother, Adrianna has picked up many of her qualities. Her mother's jealousy is well known throughout all of time and Adrianna is the same. She gets very easily jealous over what people have and when she thinks someone is trying to take something, or someone, she deems as hers. This emotion can send her into a state of anger and bitterness, often resulting in screams matches and a rare fight. She is not quick to react on this if she's in a public setting, but if driven far enough, Adrianna will go off. It's a trait she isn't proud of and feels ashamed when her jealousy gets in the way.

Another trait from her mother is Adrianna's untrustworthiness. Lying is common among the children of Hera and Adrianna is a prime example. Ever since she was young, Adrianna found it difficult to tell the truth. Every time she did it seemed like people got hurt. If she broke something and told the truth, she would get in trouble. If she lied about it, she didn't get in trouble. Lying just seemed easier and kinder in her mind. Before she came to camp, Adrianna's lies were easy to believe. Now that she's at Camp Athens, and it's known Hera's children are liars, it's difficult for others to trust Adrianna. She still is a liar and people don't like how shady she seems when she lies. It's difficult building friendships when everyone knows you're a liar.

H I S T O R Y

Born in New York, Adrianna was the product of Hera and Jonathan Lockwood. The Lockwood family was the envy of the human world. They were wildly successful, rich beyond an average person's dreams, and attractive as humans can come. The couple lacked one thing: children. Angela Lockwood was not able to conceive, despite the couple pouring thousands into medical procedures that were suppose to help. The couple was desperate and the idea of adopting and surrogacy weren't appealing to the mother. Despite not being religious, Jonathan and Angela prayed to any god that could deliver the one thing they wanted. Hera heard the couple's plea and felt sympathy for the couple's plight. Approaching the two of them, after their initial shock was over with, she struck a deal with the couple. She would give them a child, but warned them the child would be taken away at one point when it grew up. Hera didn't promise the couple she would come back, but claimed it was a possibility. The Lockwood family agreed and Adrianna was born.

Adrianna grew up in the life of luxury as a child. If she ever wanted anything, it was brought or bought for her at once. Her parents had her homeschooled, wanting to spend as much time with their daughter before she was taken away. Adrianna had a childhood filled with love from both her parents. She never felt lonely or unloved with her parents and the family's various staff watching her. It was a charm life for little Adrianna, filled with only the best of the best.

Although Adrianna had the love of her parents, she wanted more than just her family. She wanted to have friends outside of the staff and their children when they randomly would come over. Adrianna didn't know how to tell her parents this without hurting them. Whenever she brought up going to regular school or doing activities outside of their home to her parents, they would get this sad look on their face like she just told them she hated them. She stopped asking after that. She began to have an imaginary friend just to keep herself occupied. Matches, as she called her, was her confidant when she felt this way. Little did Adrianna's parents know, Hera was matches in disguise. Hera promised her one day she would be free and be in a world filled with other people like her. Adriana was excited, but didn't realize what was truly coming.

When Adrianna turned thirteen, her parents relinquished some of their control over their daughter. Adrianna was entered into a nice, and expensive, private school filled with students. She was so excited to finally meet people that didn't work for her family. At school, Adrianna realized many things: making friends was not easy, she would (hopefully) one day take over her family's real estate business, and she had powers. The children at school were confused by how Adrianna was so sheltered and found her strange. Although she was well liked, students didn't consider her friend material. With her new freedom came new responsibilities. Adrianna's parents began to groom her into the perfect business woman so when she took over their company; she would be ready. Next, her abilities came about. Adrianna began to notice how people would act or do the things she wanted. It wasn't everlasting, but long enough to get what she wanted. It was strange, but she assumed it was just her power of persuasion. Adrianna didn't truly realize what she was until her boyfriend, Adam, and her broke up. The two were making out when Adam saw a vision of himself dying from a car crash. He was terrified and blamed Adrianna, saying she was witch. He left in a huff, telling everyone at school about it. A week later, Adam died in a car accident. Everyone at school was calling Adrianna crazy and a witch. She didn't know what was going on.

Adrianna asked her parents what was going on. Her parents knew the day she would leave was coming and, tearfully, told her the truth about her birth. Adrianna was sure they were crazy until Hera appeared in front of them. Hera explained to her daughter about who and what she was, then explaining about Camp Athens. Adrianna was shocked, but agreed to go. Everyone in high school would still call her a witch and meeting other people who were like her sounded perfect. Now she's the new one at camp, she's heard the rumors of what happened at the last camp and is worried how she will fare.

Image Alex had never been to one single party before she came to Camp Athens. Their mother never allowed her to leave the house. Last years had been a blast, but this year was going to be different. Alex sat quietly as her brother took the chair across from her. "Are you okay?" He watched her as she managed to turn her attention to him. "..don't tell me it's nothing. When some of the campers left for the year, others stayed here. You didn't. You left me. Where did you go?"

Alex shook her head. "I'm fine. This isn't about when I left. Then, I just needed to be by myself."

"You know it's dangerous out there. Especially by yourself. Has Mason said something to you again? is that why you left?"
"No."
"Okay, so what's wrong now? Did someone else say something to you?"
"No!" she snapped.
"Al..."
Image "Just leave it alone, okay? Don't ask me any more questions." she stood up angrily. "Please." she added. It wasn't like her to shut him off without talking to him. He nodded once, his eyes looking down as he did. She gave him a glare before walking silently passed him. Maybe she shouldn't have come back to camp this year since everyone already thought she was a murderer. No one would possibly miss her, would they? Everything in her life had already turned upside down because of a stupid feud between two Gods. They just couldn't let things stay in the past.

Image He looked up, watching her head into her room. Hopefully, the party would make her feel better. Being around Duke and Wes always brought a smile to her face. Especially Duke. Oh, Ajax had noticed the way his little sister looked at his best friend. Was she acting like this because of him? Duke had recently found out about his little sister, and Alex had seen them together a couple of times without knowing who she is. Was she jealous? the corners of Ajax's lips began to lift upwards, forming a large smile as he looked away and hung his head. Laughing. He had never known her to be jealous, not even once, or she just managed to hide it well. Daniel had a new girl around him before he passed, but Alex didn't seem to batter an eye. He could go in there and tell her about Duke's sister, but maybe it would be way more entertaining for her to find out from Duke himself.

Ajax headed out the second he was dressed, but first grabbing his rucksack which sat near the front door. He decided to wear something casual: Party Outfit. As promised, he arrived a bit early with the music he had downloaded the night before on his computer. It was all taking place down near the beach again where a large campfire was sitting in the middle ready to be lit. Around it at a good safe distance sat four large log benches for everyone to chill out around the flames. The staff members were the ones hosting it all, so they were cooking on the BBQ tonight. They had containers filled with ice where the beer bottles chilled, and quite the buffet on a long table so people could help themselves to sandwiches, pizza, sausage rolls and every other party food displayed. The BBQ would be serving burgers and hot dogs with or without onions. A large variety for everyone to say the least.

Son of Apollo

The brunet boy would smile as he looked into the mirror, dressed in the outfit one of his siblings helped him prepare. This was his first real party! Aside from when they introduced the new campers, but he didn't really view it as a party, per say. But this was his first, actual party!! He was sort of nervous though, he wasn't extremely good at socializing. Briefly thinking not going, he would shake his head and clear his mind. He had to. This would help him be "normal".

His normally ocean colored eyes would be a light greenish-blue coloring, due to his excitement. He was hoping the few friends he had would be there, but the son of Apollo wasn't opposed to making more, he was quite a bubbly person.

With a smile, the boy exited the Apollo cabin with a pep in his walk. He would begin to head towards the beach, he would smile and hum a soft melody, as he walked. He placed his hands in the pockets of his jacket and grinned. Maybe Adrianna or Gwen would keep him company tonight. Or Finn! He would giggle at the idea, as he would reach the area and look around. People seemed to be happy, he was excited for such though, along with being one of his first parties. It was also his first campfire. He always liked fire, his father often had the fire roaring in the fireplace, in Pasadena. He would rake his hand through his hair look around for people to talk to.

Today was the night! Adrianna had been counting down the days till tonight's bonfire. Every minute at camp seemed to be filled with training and making connections and allies and junk, but tonight was the night she could be free. It wasn't like this was her first party, but a party among fellow demigods had to be different than a regular human party. She took care of her skin care regime in the shower. The Poseidon kids were so lucky they didn't need to worry about drying their hair, something she deeply envied on days like today. Her shower routine could be long, but every step helped to keep a face like her looking its best. Beautification can be fun too, although some girls at this camp would disagree. 'Tonight is going to be fun!' she thought as she aimlessly walked throughout the Hera children cabin.

Next, and most importantly, came her outfit. She needed her leading fashion consultant on the case! "MAAATTTYYY! Help me choose my outfit!" Mateo was already her best friend and favorite person at camp. He is also her half-brother which only strengthened her feelings towards him. He understood her in ways the others didn't. Plus, the whole lying thing wasn't a thing with them. He is the only person she's ever completely honest with. All of her childhood, Adrianna wished for a sibling and it only took eighteen years to finally get her wish. The two's favorite thing to talk about was clothes so playing dress up together for a party was more sibling bonding time! "I'm thinking black and maroon for my colors, maybe throwing in some gold jewelry?" The closet space was limited in the camp so Adrianna's full wardrobe was left back in New York. That didn't mean she didn't try. Her closet almost resembled the ones in old cartoons that are at risk of exploding if you try to open them. Her outfit was already planned, but the sibling seal of approval was necessary.

"What do you think? Hot or extra hot?" She did a little spin in front of her brother, then striking a pose with a wink. She looked amazing, maybe a little dressed up for the party. It can't hurt to look your best. "I promised I'd meet up with Kalani and walk over there together. Do you wanna meet up with us later? I already laid out some amazing outfit choices for you." She air kissed him before walking out the door. "I'll see you there! Look hot!" she called over her shoulder.

Adrianna could already hear the music from the bonfire as she made her way to the children of Aphrodite's cabin. Nothing could keep Adrianna away from a social event. Part of her wanted to head straight there and get in on the festivities, but she wasn't about to ditch her friend right off the bat. Later in the evening was a definitely a possibility especially if any of the cuter demigods caught her attention. Plenty of them have already made an impression, but nobody was her main target. 'Who knows? Tonight, if the guy plays their cards right...' She giggled to herself thinking about it.

Finally arriving at Kalani's cabin, she waltzed in their like she owned the place. "KALANI! ARE YOU READY TO PARTY? she called out, not bothering to quiet down. If Aphrodite's kids weren't getting ready for a party, are they really her children?

____________________________________________
____________________________________________

Dimitri's days started out the same every day. Wake up, morning run, eat, train, eat again, talk to the campers, and then sleep. He never bothered to change up his routine. Some people admired his consistency, others said he needed to let loose more. If only they knew what letting loose meant for him. Today was no different, except everyone was talking about the bonfire tonight. Parties were neutral for him. Dimitri liked the large amounts of people and socializing. The drama and drunks were the negatives in his mind. To him, it was a necessary thing to keep things calm at camp. Some campers complained they didn't get any 'play' time so having an event like this would keep the masses happy.

Dimitri stepped out of his shower, shaking off some of the leftover water. Normally, he wouldn't have tried to put in any extra work to his appearance, but tonight required a bit more grooming than a regular training day. With a quick swish of the hand, his soaking hair was drying thanks to a burst of wind. A perk of the Demeter children, never have to worry about a hairdryer. Clothing was next and what Dimitri despised most. He understood dressing nice, but it never felt natural. Why look good if you can't function? Girls made this a bigger mystery, thankfully he never worried about this with Callie. 'Callie... I haven't thought of her in a while.' The girlfriend he left back in Greece hadn't been on his mind lately. Maybe it was due to being busy or worrying about any of the demigods or gods knowing his weakness, but she hadn't been on his mind. A certain grey haired woman might've had something to do with it...

After finally deciding on his party attire, Dimitri groaned. A part of him didn't want to go, but if he didn't he wouldn't be playing a good role model. Being a loner wasn't always a bad thing, but getting out and meeting people builds bonds. Bonds equal friendship, friendship equals community, and community equals peace. Or chaos. There are so many variables. He shook off these negative thoughts. If he left the cabin then he'd have to go. He had a few budding friendship he could build up tonight and see Lise tonight, no doubt she'd miss a party. Come to think of it, Athena's children's cabin isn't too far from Demeter's. They could walk over there together. There's always safety in numbers right? "Exactly. I'm asking for her benefit not mine. Purely, looking out for her." It wasn't a complete lie, but not the complete truth either.

Dimitri knocked on the door of the genius's cabin, before cracking the door open. "Hey, I was heading over to the bonfire. Did you wanna join me, I guess? Just offering you don't have to." The offer sounded awful in his monotone voice. Dimitri sounded like he didn't care at all, when really he was trying to say something semi-normal. Typically, demigod luck.

Mateo finished combing his hair into a rather fluffy and innocent updo. Even from his short time at camp, he had made sure the majority of his things from home were sent here for his comfort. His current favorite being a large mahogany vanity that his father had purchased for him at an auction. Leaning back in his plush swivel chair, he propped his feet up on the vanity taking a moment to soak in the night. Of course he was excited, parties were his thing, but he truly wasn't sure that he was in the proper mood. Maybe he just needed some good old fashioned socializing and alcohol to get him to his charming self. However, before he could make any more outfit decisions his newly-found sister's voice rang from the hall. "MAAATTTYYY! Help me choose my outfit!"

Matt adored Adrianna. She was his mini-me, the sister he never had, and a true Hera child. It felt so nice for him to finally find someone the understood him on such an odd level. It only made him realize even more that Hera kids needed to stick together.

He left his room and went down the hall of the lavishly marble building peeking his head into Adrianna's room, "Did somebody call for help?!" he managed to hold a serious face before cracking a smile. He plopped himself comfortably on the edge of her bed and crossed his arms, "Alright, what's the situation?"

"I'm thinking black and maroon for my colors, maybe throwing in some gold jewelry?" Adrianna held up a couple of different combinations of the colors and he tapped his chin, racking his brain about what would look the best. "Okay. Definitely, the black top and skirt, paired with... gods you have to go with the rabbit fur. It screams 'bow down bitches', and throw in the bracelet, earrings, booties and you're unstoppable sis" He grinned at her from the bed and then she disappeared to try on the 'concoction' of an outfit.

"What do you think? Hot or extra hot?" She twirled around in the outfit and Mateo clapped his hands together in excitement. "Hades is jealous Dri, they won't know what hit em'" She gave him a dashing smile and hug before shooting him an air kiss. Classic Adrianna.

"I promised I'd meet up with Kalani and walk over there together. Do you wanna meet up with us later? I already laid out some amazing outfit choices for you." Mateo let out a small chuckle as he stood up from her bed, "How am I not surprised you have things picked out? But yeah, go ahead and I'll meet you guys. Just don't have too much fun without me" He gave her a wink and she laughed before twirling over her shoulder giving him a quick goodbye before leaving.

Mateo went back to his room to see that Adrianna had indeed picked out some outfits for him. His sister had great taste, this he was thankful for. He finally settled on a darker outfit. It was classic, screamed a little frat boy, and maybe a little edgy but he liked it. The dark colors also did a wonder on his bright blue eyes. He wasn't looking to knock the socks off of any of the other demigods but the look combined with his innocent features was enough to start a conversation and turn a few heads.

After he had finished getting ready, he eventually headed down the sandy path to the beach. There were a few others there, and his sister was already chatting away with her friends. Before he decided to join them however he made his way to the food table and grabbed a beer. Bottoms up as they say.

Kalani had been waiting for the bonfire all day. As excitable as ever, she'd already gotten her outfit planned out and makeup sorted before the afternoon. Deciding to fill her time from then until the party, Kalani lays back against her bedframe and daydreams about all the shenanigans she and her friends would get up to. Already having promised Adrianna that she would go with her to the bonfire, Kalani had also told Annie that she'd meet her there. The thought of being surrounded by her two closest friends at camp as well as a lot of other super cute people that she'd undoubtably flirt with almost overwhelmed Kalani with excitement. Gods did she love a party.

As the evening drew closer, Kalani slipped out of the boring casual clothes she had been wearing all day, and into the bathroom adjacent to her room. Hopping into the shower, Kalani hums to herself as she washes, her mind still racing with all the possible outcomes of tonight. Once washed and dried, Kalani applies the makeup she had preplanned - a slick of dusky red lipstick and some mascara - before throwing on her party outfit. Beaming at her reflection in the mirror, Kalani wiggles her hips as she checks out the fit of her new denim skirt.

Fluffing her hair so that her beachy waves fell just how she liked them, Kalani pressed play on the little speaker that sat on her bedside table, the one thing she had brought from home. It had been a birthday gift from Nana years ago and was something that reminded her of the woman who raised her. Someone Kalani was afraid she may never see again.

Shaking these negative thoughts out of her head, Kalani focuses her mind back onto the present - she had a party to go to! While Kalani had been hoping to spend it with Wes and get to know him a little more, she had seen the elder male walking out of his cabin earlier - most likely to go see Trinity. Wes may have never told Kalani about his crush on the daughter of Ares, but it was obvious, at least to Kalani. He goes all puppy-eyes around her. It almost makes Kalani giggle a little, she deeply loves her big brother but he could be so soppy sometimes.

It didn't matter, anyway, and Kalani turned the music up a little in an attempt to stop her mind drifting. Dancing along to the song, she continues with minor touchups until everything is exactly how she likes it. Kalani isn't exactly a narcissist but she does love to look her very best.

Before Kalani's able to wonder where Adrianna is, the daughter of Hera comes storming into her room. "Dri!" She squeals, giving her friend a tight hug before answering her question, "I was born ready," Kalani giggles, giving her friend a twirl so that she can assess her outfit, "What do ya think?" She asks before taking in what Adrianna was wearing. Placing her hand on her chest as she feigns being faint, Kalani continues. "Damn Dri, you look amazing," Her smile expanding as she talks, "If we weren't friends, I'd definitely be wanting your number."

With their dramatic greetings over and done with, Kalani grabs her friends hand "C'mon let's get down there before they start spin the bottle!" And with that Kalani waltzes out the door, Adrianna in tow; their fingers still interlocked.

"Hey, I was heading over to the bonfire. Did you wanna join me, I guess? Just offering you don't have to."

She had been supposed to meet Annie to walk to the bonfire, and there was a slight twinge of guilt before Lise responded to the 'Adonis' outside her door. A slight twinge, mind you, and one that was immediately followed by a shrug of, 'Oh, fuck it, she'll understand. And it's not like she gets angry at anyone anyway.

Such is why, when Dimitri knocked oh-so-shyly on door, and offered her oh-so-chivalrously some company for the walk, she replied with a zest and enthusiasm synonymous with her usual nature.

Just as he spoke, the door handle tore out of Dimitri's grasp, pulled away by the silver-haired demon on the other side. Eyes winged and expression wily, Lise looked up at the grecian with a wide grin.

"Oh, Adonis, you know you don't have to ask me twice."

Closing the door behind her, Lise smoothly slipped passed Dimitri, reaching the bottom stop before stopping and looking back up at him over her shoulder, and shooting him a look of, 'Coming?'

She had never been one to hem and haw, nor to mince words or play coy. She was Lise, after all.

She was impatient, and she wanted to party.
_________________________________________________________

Annie tutted at the internet message on her phone (thank Gods for wifi, what with the lack of phone service), more amused than upset.

sorry, tall, dark and handsome's come a-knocking, soooo~ c u at the bonfire <3

Annie was hardly shocked by the behaviour; she may not know Lise especially well, but it was fairly obvious that she was a fickle creature with quite simple desires. If anything, Annie admired that part of Lise that was so brutally unapologetic, so consistently decisive. Annie was the opposite, always sorry for something, and always troubled by the burden of making choices.

One choice that had not been difficult to make, however, was whether or not to attend the bonfire party. As someone who walked a strange line between introvert and extrovert, Annie did enjoy parties, and she was eager to get to know her fellow campers. Perhaps new faces were exactly what the camp needed, to start afresh, to rise from the ashes.

She hoped so, the past year had set a gloom over the camp, and even her unrivalled healing abilities could not remedy the wounds left by 2017's terrible events.

Arriving at the edge of the party, she searched the crowd for a familiar face, and spotted it almost immediately. It was hard not to notice such a face, considering how remarkably lovely it was.

Walking over to Kalani and Adrianna, the demigod grinned, offering a double wave.

"Hey! ... Woah, well, you guys look amazing."

"You are your mother's daughter and I'm definitely borrowing that outfit sometime." It was a cute outfit, but more on the simple side than Adrianna was used to. She wasn't about to tell Lani that though. Little lies like that weren't uncommon for Audrey, a curse of being one of Hera's children. Well, what Kalania doesn't know won't hurt her.

The two girls held hands as they walked towards the bonfire. It was something the two usually did together. Adrianna never thought of it as something romantic, more of how you'd hold hands with a sibling. Some campers have commented on it, but a glare from her silenced them. It wasn't like Adrianna was annoyed at the thought of being considered homosexual by the campers. The fact that two girls couldn't be friendly without thinking something else was happening was rude. Why do people always make assumptions? Speaking of homosexuals, she noticed Nikolaos had arrived. He's the little brother she had always dreamed about and the two got close within their first week at camp. His sweet yet awkward demeanor was so adorable. While he hadn't acknowledged it himself, Adrianna picked up on his sexuality. Obviously, better than Nik since he didn't even know. Adrianna didn't know how to approach the topic, but knew she'd try her best for him. Adrianna gave him a wave and her best grin.

"Hey! ... Woah, well, you guys look amazing." Cue, another cutest camper! The fact that Nik and Annie were siblings seemed too perfect. They're the kindest people at camp and Adrianna was proud to say she got along with both.
"I wish I could I pull off layers like you can! You look absolutely amazing!~" Yes, Adrianna may have been exageratting, but the girl did look cute. "I thought Lise was coming with you- Ah I see now." The appearance of Lise and Dimitri didn't go unnoticed by Adrianna. Call it a child of the goddess of marriage thing, but she could tell the different between potential couple and two friends. It wasn't really a power, but Adrianna will gladly claim it is. Interesting combination the two of them... One of the biggest personalities at camp with the one with the least personality. Something she'll catalogue for later, or gossip a bit about. Probably both.

The bonfire was getting more and more crowded. Music was playing, food and alcohol being served, and, Adrianna's personal favorite, many attractive people. Adrianna was fine just hanging out with the girls, dancing. However, she wouldn't turn down some TLC from an interesting guy. So far, nobody was worth her attention. She had plenty offers, some more pushy than others. One guy thought bringing her a beer meant she had to dance with him. A quick nod of her head and that guy suddenly decided he needed to eat. Influence is such a great ability. One guy did make her wonder. He sat on the outside of the bonfire, frown on his very attractive face. He looked like a challenge, something Audrey couldn't ignore. "Girls, I'll see you in a bit. I found a challenge, byyyye." With her farewell, Adrianna went towards Mr. Hughson. She was aware of his parentage and the history at the previous camp. Was it potentially dangerous? Absolutely, but she doubted he'd try anything at a crowded party. She quickly grabbed two, cold beers from a cooler before approaching.

"I'm pretty sure parties are for having fun, Mr. Frown." Adrianna teased, holding out the beer to Mason. "Maybe we need to loosen you up." She let a girlish chuckle, battling her eyes.

Draining the bottle he held in his hand, Finley looked over at the partygoers once more, boredom creeping up on him. Gwen and Nik still stood together, chatting away. Finley decided maybe he would approach them, before his eye is caught by someone else.

He didn't recognise her but she stood alone, just out of the way. Her eyes grazing over each person as though she was waiting for something to happen. Swallowing his last sip of beer, Finley takes a deep breath - he wasn't used to approaching other people, in fact, usually Finley liked to steer clear of others.

However, this is a party after all and if he can't be sociable here, where can he. Turning to the drinks table behind him, Finley pops the cap off of two more beers, the cool bottle a comfort against his increasingly sweaty palms. Gods, why was he so nervous.

Sure, she's beautiful, but just the simple fact of approaching someone, anyone, was what caused Finley's stomach to turn. Shaking his head slightly, Finley resolves to do this one thing. If he doesn't talk to anyone else tonight, he will talk to this mysterious girl.

Setting a small smile on his face, in the hopes that he can look friendly, Finley walks the short distance over to where she stood. Still alone, still watching everyone else. Clearing his throat, Finley extends a hand which held one of the beer bottles, "Hey I, um,
" He begans -not the smoothest start - "I got you a beer."

Shit, what was that? He didn't even introduce himself, just shoved a beer on her. What if she doesn't even drink? Oh Gods, this is why he doesn't talk to people, Finley thinks. Mentally, Finley kicks himself but outwardly he doesn't let the smile on his face flinch for a second, his hand still outstretched. Hoping she took the beer so he'd be free to head back to his cabin and never speak to anyone again. This is what happens when Finley, the notorious recluse, tries to make friends. It doesn't go well.

The two girls reached the bonfire in a matter of minutes, fingers still entwined. It was more of a subconscious thing that Kalani did and she certainly never meant it romantically. Just like she might grab Wes' hand to drag him to see something, taking Adrianna's and pulling her along to the bonfire meant nothing more than Kalani was excited and wanted to get there now.

Just a short while after they had arrived, so did Annie, greeting them with a, "Hey! ... Woah, well, you guys look amazing.
" Kalani giggles, sending her a smile in the form of a 'thanks' before grabbing Annie into her arms for a tight hug.

Finally releasing the girl, Kalani steps back to assess Annie's outfit, "You look so lovely!" She beams, excitement bubbling up in her voice. Kalani couldn't be happier, surrounded by her two very best friends at camp. Of course none of them had been there long enough to be actual best friends, but it had been surprising how quickly these three had taken to each other. Kalani had always been good at making friends, and it seems that only a short while after arriving at the camp, she had managed to do just that.

"I thought Lise was coming with you- Ah I see now." Kalani follows Adrianna's gaze to where Lise stood, alongside Dimitri. Oh. Kalani's smile falters for a fraction of a second, before she places it back at full force on her face. "They look cute together." Kalani forces out, catching Lise's eye and sending her a wave as she does so. Shaking off any negative emotion she may be feeling.

The girls chatted and danced along to the soft music drifting throughout the bonfire for a while, until Kalani noticed someone catch Adrianna's eye. Before the girl could tease her about it, the daughter of Hera opens her mouth. "Girls, I'll see you in a bit. I found a challenge, byyyye." Kalani laughs softly and waves her off, watching as Adrianna makes a beeline for Mason. That would be interesting.

Kalani would be content to just sit and watch whatever was about to happen unfold, but instead she turns to Annie, a wry smirk on her face. "Let's play a game," She whispers to the girl before she turns away to face the rest of the partygoers. "Hey, guys," Kalani calls out in an attempt to get all their attention.

She then waltzes over to the drinks table, picking up the bottle Finley had just placed down. "Spin the bottle anyone?" She suggests, her smirk growing into a full fledged mischievous grin. She knew some of the elder students would probably sit this game out, but Kalani couldn't think of a better way to get to know her fellow newbies than by kissing them!

Creating a circle of people just next to the fire, Kalani heads back to Annie and squeezes her hand, "Come play." She whispers, before taking a seat for herself in the circle and placing the bottle down in the middle of the group.

Spying Gwen and Niko standing a couple feet away, Kalani calls out - "Hey you guys, wanna join?" Attempting to get as many people involved as possible. This ought to be an awful lot of fun.

ImageMason watched Andy travel over to Ajax and mock him behind his back. Exactly what a normal girl would do to lightly tease her boyfriend. He'd probably turn around and give her a smooch and it'd be all 'love, love, happy couple, everybody forget I failed as a leader and boyfriend.' Still, it wasn't Mason's business. Just like it wasn't his business to tell the sweet little happy couple they weren't going to last. He didn't need foresight or to be a child of Aphrodite to know that.

The bitter thoughts came to an abrupt end when another female approached. Rather than a fiery blonde, it was an impressively dressed and done up, Adrianna. She was always a looker but tonight, she had bonus points. "I'm pretty sure parties are for having fun, Mr. Frown," had been her way of greeting him, with a peace offering being a beer. Mason took it. "Maybe we need to loosen you up."

"Okay," he began, a smile spreading across his lips, "first off your nickname generating needs work. Second, we really do and alcohol seems a good way to get there." He popped the cap off the bottle but paused before bringing it to his lips. "I mean as long as you're not trying to take advantage of me in a drunk state." Mason smirked at her and took a swig.

"Parties are also about losing inhibitions then having alcohol or that bad friend to blame it on," he added matter-of-factly and shrugged innocently. Mason overheard Kalani's spin the bottle suggestion on cue and laughed. He had called it in the beginning. "Exhibit A."

Mason paid one look to the circle gathering and saw how many awaiting and expecting eyes were on Adrianna. That was the only problem with prom queens like herself, they attracted too much attention. Still, none of them thought to physically approach her with him there. It's not like he could kill demigods with a touch, just their mortal relatives. "I don't think they're gonna start without you." He threw his head towards the circle.

Initially his mind was made on joining such a game. It wouldn't be worth the experience and he wasn't overly keen to kiss anybody and hadn't been in a long time, but somebody had advised him to make friends and people achieved that by taking part in games and activities. Plus, it had been that long maybe he forgot how to kiss and this would be good practice. Mason made his way to the circle and fell in wherever vacancy was. "Suggester spins first, right?" he said towards Kalani. There weren't a great deal many rules in spin the bottle but he was pretty sure that's how it started.

When Mason took the beer from her hand, she knew she was in. Especially once he smiled. "My nicknames may suck, but they got you to smile." Adrianna took a swig from her beer, enjoying the taste."And I'll only take advantage if you want me to. I like my guys sober normally, but I can make an exception."

Adrianna let out a soft laugh before taking a brief glance around the rest of the party. It seemed like most of the campers had arrived. She had heard Kalani talk about spin the bottle and Audrey never missed the chance at a party game. Hopefully, Mr. Mysterious next to her would join in. There was a chance, but some campers didn't like Hades's son. Being the son of the god of death can be terrifying, but Audrey wasn't worried. The last thing he would do was kill somebody at a public event. Her love of attractive men could be her downfall with this one.

Audrey could feel the eyes on her as the circle for spin the bottle grew. It was both flattering and a bit annoying. Her minor popularity at the camp was fun and being the center of attention was even better, but it can be difficult when she's trying to do something. Mason being the current something. None the less, she couldn't leave her peers waiting. Seeing her brother sit down only added to it. Mason must've picked up on it too. "I don't think they're gonna start without you." Audrey put on a playful pout. "The curse of being loved." She joked. "Why not join in? I thought parties were about 'losing inhibitions.'" Throwing his words back in his face brought a huge grin to her face. "Plus, you might get lucky." Audrey left before she could hear his response.

Adrianna sat next to her brother, making sure to sit ladylike. Flashing any of these guys was the last thing she wanted. The group was still growing, adding the Zeus siblings and a few others. Adrianna tried not to beam when she noticed Mason decided to join. Maybe tonight would go her way. Audrey leaned onto her brother, whispering in his ear. "So, who do you want to land on you?"

Dimitri didn't hesitate to follow after Lise, trying to keep in step so he wouldn't fall behind. Dimitri wished she shared her excitement at the idea of the party. All the campers looked like they were having fun as he approached. He saw Theo acting as the camp bartender. Dimitri made a mental note to go see what he was serving later. Some alcohol might do a bit of good for him, as long as he didn't drink too much.

Dimitri listened as Lise talked, nodding and making a rare comment if it felt necessary. The demigod liked to let the other campers talk and Dimitri's negativity wasn't always a great conversation starter. He liked listening to Lise talk. It was fun to watch her talk so animatedly. Dimitri always found it refreshing to find people who had such high energy like her, maybe it was partly due to balancing out his own lack of energy. Who knows?

"You know Kalani and stuff, right?" 'One of Aphrodite's children, I believe.' Dimitri thought. He noticed the dark haired girl standing over near Annie and Adrianna. He knew of the trio standing in front of him. He enjoyed their company, but he wouldn't say he was especially close with any of them. The girls were nice, Annie the most. He nodded at the group of girls, noticing a bit of sadness in Kalani's eyes when they approached. She seemed happy whenever the two interacted before, similar with Lise. He'd have to ask about that later.

Hearing about the game 'spin the bottle,' Dimitri was intrigued. He'd never played the game, but had heard of it. Callie explained it to him once when he saw it on television for the first time. On television, the game usually forced two people who liked each other but wouldn't admit it to kiss, something Dimitri never quite understood. Why force someone to kiss? It didn't sound like fun. Despite his dislike of the game, Dimitri took a seat by Lise. It didn't hurt to be involved and maybe nobody would land on him. Although, he would mind if the genius beside him landed on him. "Shall we begin?"

As the number of participants in Kalani's little game begun to grow, as did the excitement bubbling in her chest. Ani had always been an excitable girl, but nothing got her quite as animated as parties - specifically party games. They always made things interesting. Glad to see Annie come over and sit herself down with her brother who had also just joined, Ani sends her another smile, her tongue poking out from between her teeth, something she did when she was excited.

Lise is next to come over, sitting right next to Ani, and while the smile never wavers on her face, Ani can't help but think that there's no way she's gonna get to kiss Lise now - not when she's sitting right next to her! For such an intelligent girl, Lise had been pretty oblivious to Ani's little crush on her. Lise is quickly followed by Dimitri, who she is sure to send a semi-sincere smile to, after all, he didn't know how Ani felt.

"Suggester spins first, right?" Ani is startled as a deep voice speaks to her out of nowhere. She'd never expected Mason to join, but Ani knew that he would make the game extra intriguing. Especially since Adrianna seemed to have her sights set on the guy. "Mason, I didn't realise you were a seasoned pro."
She teases, raising an eyebrow yet knowing full well that it was unlikely Mason played this game often; but who knew, the guy seemed full of surprises.

As she is about to spin the bottle, Ani's attention is caught by Wes and Trinity walking through the clearing and into the party. Of course, her big brother had never mentioned his real feelings for Trinity to Kalani - they'd only just met and were still trying to get to know each other, so their love lives never really came up - but it would take a very oblivious person, and an especially oblivious child of Aphrodite, not to see the chemistry between them. Or at least see how Wes looked at her. Attempting to catch her brother's eye as he walks over to the snack table, Ani sends him a little wave.

"Shall we begin?" Another male voice brings Ani out of her thoughts. Oh crap, she'd gotten caught up in seeing what Wes was doing she'd almost forgotten to take her turn. Laughing softly, Ani nods and turns back to the group, looking at each new member. She'd managed to draw in both old and new campers which delighted Ani, hopefully there would be some proper bonding going on tonight so that everyone got to know each other a little bit better - or at least got to know the inside of each other's mouths a little better.

Hand on the bottle, Ani gives it a strong spin, her eyes glued to it as it began to slow. Oh Gods, who was she about to kiss. Ani's heart pounded in her chest as it passed Mason, then Sylas, spinning past Niko and finally, it landed on Annie.

"Oh, easy!" Ani beams, jumping up from her seat and bounding over to where Annie sat. "Don't worry, I've been told I'm a great kisser." She giggles, leaning in to softly peck Annie's lips. She wasn't gonna go in for a full make out or anything, not with one of her closest friends. That would probably make things just a little awkward. Instead, Ani opts for a sweet little kiss, before she gives Annie a jokingly flirtatious wink and heads back to her seat.

Eyeing up the group, Ani tilts her head to the side, "Right, who's next?" She ponders, before turning to look at Lise who was sat next to her. "Guess it's you, Lee!" Clapping her hands together in glee, Ani sits back, waiting for Lise to take her turn.

Image Adrianna caught his eye and he rolled his eyes playfully. He was sure it wouldn't be too bad, wherever the bottle may land and where it wasn't too bad it could only be better. So yes, he joined to get lucky and help lose those inhibitions.

"Mason, I didn't realise you were a seasoned pro," Kalani replied and he shrugged with a smirk.

However, seeing Alex join, Mason regretted it instantly. It could be the worse and he didn't care about the damn party or game, he wasn't going near her. Behind Alex was an equally as bad sight, Ajax and Andy having a little heat-fest. Golden boy always did get what he wanted.

Observing outside the game, he missed Kalani's and Annie's kiss, he only saw Kalani return to her seat, but he figured it must have been brief because he wasn't looking for that long. He opened his mouth to consider arguing its eligibility, but he didn't want to have to french someone he'd rather not, all to make a point. And Annie definitely seemed a delicate girl to be light with.

The daughter of Zeus was so restless, she couldn't even sit there long enough to wait for her turn before demanding a turn after Lise's spin. Mason scoffed. Everybody had to bend the rules for "queen Alex" as usual, or so she expected.

His attention shifted to Trinity and he was as surprised to see her at this circle more than she was him. He had to do a double-take.
β€œWhat brings you to this fine game?” she asked.
"The chance of kissing any one of my fine looking camp acquaintances."
β€œOh for fu-” Mason's eyes widened a little at the burst and how firmly she bit her own lip. If it had been a moment longer he was convinced she'd draw blood. β€œI'm not interfering with something here too am I?”
"Trinity, there's always room for you," he promised her lowly. "You're my number one girl and I wouldn't replace you, not like others do." Mason placed his hand over hers in the sand. It might have made him lose some of his appeal and reputation with Lockwood, but he promised himself last year that he couldn't lose Trinity. He wouldn't.

All around the warrior princess was losing people, not in death but life which was worse. Mason looked over his shoulder to Alex and Wes pointedly. "You and me, we got to look out for each other and I mean that," he whispered leaning towards her. "Andy's a good girl, we both like her and count her as a friend but if we were dying in the field of battle, she'd choose Ajax. Love of her life. Ajax would sooner let you bleed out too. No one is gonna pick us. Not your brother, Wes, Theo." He gestured to the hunter that joined the circle. The dude practically had heart eyes for Gwen. Last year, Theo gave Trinity any time of day, there truly was nobody he was more committed to than his big crush, but things had evidently changed and Trinity probably saw it as one big demotion.
Elias, he didn't know a great deal about, but he couldn't see him rushing to his half-sister's aid. Preferring to fight and all.
And Wes, he was infatuated with Trinity, sure, but he could hardly save himself. And Trinity and Mason both knew he didn't need a bottle to kiss Alex.

He put his hand back on his lap, watching the bottle. "I'll always have your back."

There was always this strange concoction of anticipation and dread with games such as spin-the-bottle. Every spin egged on by thoughts of both 'please let it land on...' and 'please don't let it land on...' There was a degree of fate (or chance, for the more realistic) that made each spin something of a thrill.

Annie hadn't played it many times before, and her last memory of it was as a teenager, with a boy whose eagerness combined with his lack of experience made for something less than pleasant.

As the bottle twirled, she hoped the best for Kalani, as she always did, and when it landed on her, she smiled knowing that Kalani would have no such issues, and nor would she. Such thoughts were reaffirmed with Ani's reaction, as the latter girl responded in a light tone,

"Oh, easy!"

Annie giggled at her 'great kisser' comment, and as Ani's lips touched Annie's own, the daughter of Apollo felt no embarrassment or concern, completely comfortable with her company and her kisser.

"Guess it's you, Lee!"

Annie leaned back slightly in her seat, looking at Lise expectantly, only for Lise to raise an eyebrow in a questioning look.

"Oh? I thought it was whomever the bottle landed on went next? I'm hardly a stickler for the rules, but I'm not a total anarchist."

She shrugged, her usual smirk reappearing on her face. "But if you insist."

Her numerous silver rings glittered in the firelight as she gave the bottle a twirl, and her smirk remained as the bottle spun once, twice, thrice, before finally landing on Trinity. Her eyes flicked up from the bottle, and she shot Trinity a flirtatious look before leaning across the bottle towards her.

"Xena, my love," She tapped her lips with her index finger, "You got something for me?"

Gwen's eyes followed the bottle as it slowed and eventually stopped on Annie. "Oh easy!" Kalani spoke and planted a quick kiss on the Annie's lips. Maybe I'm overthinking this... Gwen thought as she shifted nervously in the sand. If Kalani thought it was a breeze why couldn't she?

"Hey...I'm a little late to the beginning, hope you don't mind an extra player," Gwen looked up to the ever-graceful Emery as she squeezed into the spot next to Gwen in the sand. She was grateful to have another one of her closer friends for more support in the circle. "Are we having fun tonight, Gwen? Hi, Nik,"
Emery looked like she had more on her agenda than just playing the game and making small talk, but Gwen decided not to elaborate on her suspicions. "I was until Nik dragged me into the Satan circle. I'm not good at these things Em, I'm going to look like a beached puffer if I have to kiss anyone... a beached puffer!!" She whispered to the girl, quite aggressively. Em obviously didn't take her plea for help seriously as she let out a quiet giggle and nudged Gwen in the side. "If you had to choose someone here to kiss, who would it be?" The question completely blindsided Gwen as her cheeks burned a rosy color. "What? I don't know -" It was partially true. While she trusted Emery, she was too embarrassed to just blabber away with all the campers she found attractive, especially with one.

However, her eyes deceived her as she couldn't help but survey the circle. She didn't even notice that he had joined the circle. Her eyes lingered on Theo for a mere moment, before she realized she was staring and looked back at the sand. She had noticed the charming son of Artemis the second she had arrived at camp. On the outside he was fun and endearing, not to mention incredibly handsome. However, there was something else there that Gwen couldn't quite figure out, but she noticed it. He seemed a little strained sometimes, like he was holding a lot of stuff in, she couldn't imagine what he had gone through last year.

"Xena, my love, you got something for me?"

Lise brought her back into the moment, and she turned abruptly to Em trying to put on her best poker face. She couldn't exactly reveal to Emery that Gwen would probably want to kiss her newfound brother. Awkward, right? So she tried avoiding the subject altogether by directing it back at Emery. "That's like asking me to pick a favorite food, I can't chose. I mean, who would you pick?"

Dom watched the girl stumble through the uneven sand in her broken heel, his eyebrow still raised in a state of amusement. As his eyes followed her he noticed another girl sitting in the sand. And she was staring. At him.

She broke eye contact quickly and looked back at her book, when it clicked. The daughter of Eris, the same on he had bumped into earlier. He was slightly comforted to see he hadn't entirely damaged her book, but it looked like the universe had other plans. The tide began to pick up, and he watched as the water reached the edge of her heels startling her. She scooted a couple inches back, however, it wasn't enough to escape the tide.

He stood rather abruptly and took a couple steps towards her, and flicked his wrist. Just as the tide was about to probably soak her it froze in place. You could hear it crack as the water around her crystalized into ice, forming a U shape around her feet. "Are you alright? The tide can be pretty unruly at this time of night"
He shifted his weight back and forth, from foot to foot, this was uncharted territory for him. However, there was something about her that separated her from everyone else, if he was being honest she reminded him of himself. He didn't know whether that was a good or bad thing. "I'm Domonik. Dom"It was his attempt at starting a conversation with her, a seemingly normal one. He hoped.

He unconsciously reached out a hand to help her up, realizing his stupid mistake when his hand was already outstretched. It would've been cruel for him to take it back, but he knew she had already felt how cold his skin was earlier and was most likely repulsed. However, he left his hand out in the air, and just simply waited for her to decide to take it or not.

Mateo grinned at his sister as she came to sit next to him in the circle. "So, who do you want to land on you?" He half-smirked at her opening question, she just got straight to the point. He would've done the same if he had spoken first. At the beginning of the night he most likely would've answered that question with a, 'whoever's willing'. Very man-whorish of himself, but he knew he wasn't the only one thinking that. He treated flirting as a game, not in a conniving way, although he couldn't help if it came out that way, but rather just for fun. "Well, if everything went as planned, he should be coming to sit in this circle in just a second" He winked at Adrianna and looked back to the circle to see Sylas making his way over, his eyes trained directly on Mateo. Blunt. He liked it.

He leaned over and whispered in Adrianna's ear, "Hook. Line. And Sinker. As my father used to say" His eyes followed Slylas's as the boy boldly sat directly across from him."You're not the only one with some game sis, also don't think I don't see you trying to catch the Dark Lord's eye" He chuckled and flicked a quick glance in Mason's direction. "I'm shocked you got him over here, seemed like a real stick to me, but he is handsome. Just be careful alright? You never know with those Hades kids" He said to her quietly. He turned his gaze back to the circle, watching as Kalani went, kissing Annie innocently on the lips.

He caught Sylas's eye several times, and he couldn't help but smirk. He suddenly wished he was a child of Nemesis, he'd know exactly how to bend the luck into his favor.

Andy made quick work of the beer in her hand as she flowed with the music. When the bottle was empty, she simply conjured it away instead of having to stop to find a trash can. She closed her eyes, letting herself be taken by the music. Since the war, she's had so many heavy burdens on her shoulders that she forgot what it was like to just... Live. It was kind of liberating. She could feel the tension just roll off her shoulders as the alcohol soaked into her system. One night without inhibitions, pain and sadness.

She rocked back and forth with the campers around her, letting her body sway to the beat of the music. Andy's rhythmic movements momentarily dulled when she felt hands slide over her hips. She ran a hand back through her hair as she glanced over her shoulder to see who it was. If it was anyone other than Ajax, he would kill them. But, a soft smile graced her lips when she saw it was him as he pulled her back towards him.

Andy moved her body in sync with his, her left hand resting on top of his, sliding her fingers between his. Her body melted into his arms as they swayed together. Sometimes Andy forgot what it was like being in his arms. They both were always so consumed with other things. Ajax with the camp and herself with all her inner struggles. They rarely got to just be together and enjoy each other's presence.

"Can I come to your cabin tonight?" he asked. Ajax's voice was deep and raw, but still tender.

It took a moment for Ajax's question to actually sink it. When it did, it took everything Andy had not to stop dead in her tracks like a deer in headlights. Her heart skipped a beat, then pounded uncontrollably. She started growing lightheaded, unsure if it was from the alcohol or the question. They've gone to each others' cabins numerous times, at all hours. But, this was more than a surface level question. They've been together awhile, but their relationship hadn't reached that level yet. There were many reasons why she should have said no. But, one reason why she should say yes. Something she hadn't admitted to herself or verbalized.

Her head continued to spin, but Andy let her body lean back into his to stabilize herself without making her dizziness evident. She moved her right hand back, hooking it around his neck, curling her fingers in his hair. She slowly looked back over her shoulder, glancing up at Ajax. After exhaling, she nodded her head, whispering back, "...Yeah." Once she said it, Andy felt a wave of emotions overcome her: anxiety, excitement, fear and nausea. But, she didn't let her face show it. She just held Ajax's gaze as she danced with him.

Wes stared intently at the marshmallow stuck at the end of his stick. He didn't realize that he was kind of in a daze, and that the puffy pillow was burning until he felt a hand on his shoulder. "Hope you don't mind if I join you for a little bit."

"Not at all." He motioned for her to have a seat before pulling the stick from the fire, quickly blowing out the flames on the marshmallow. "I wanted it extra toasty," he lied, making an excuse for his daydreaming. He brought the burnt treat to his mouth, taking a bite causing the goopy white fluff to make a mess around his mouth.

"Something on your mind?" Alex asked after taking a seat beside him.

Wes finished the marshmallow, then used his thumb to wipe the sticky remnants from his mouth. "I have officially found a down side to having only one arm," he said while motioning the stick towards her. "I can't make a proper s'more. I can toast a marshmallow like no one's business, obviously," he chuckled weakly. "But you can't properly squish the melted bastard between graham crackers and chocolate with one hand. My life of campfire snacks is reduced to charred white goop on a stick... With lord knows what on it." He raised the stick towards his face, furrowing his brows as he inspected it.

After a weak laugh and shrug of his shoulders, Wes started stoking the bonfire with his stick, growing silent for a long while. He sighed. "That... And you know, the pity," he said with a nonchalant shrug of his shoulders. He kept poking the stick into the fire, not looking over at Alex. He was skirting around the truth. Not that he had any issue telling Alex anything. But, more that he didn't feel like getting into it when anyone could eavesdrop on their conversation.

His attention was drawn over towards the spin the bottle game when he heard giggling and laughter. Wes didn't realize until that moment that Trinity had joined the game, which gave him a sinking feeling in his stomach. He looked back to the fire, trying to ignore it until the next round was up. "Xena, my love. You got something for me?" He couldn't help the distasteful glare he was probably shooting towards the game. For some reason it angered him, hearing someone else call Trinity, Xena. He teasingly called her that about as much as he called her blondie. But those were his nicknames. Hearing someone else use them made his stomach turn.

Wes shoved the stick into the sand. He then removed his beanie, running his hand back through his hair. He finally looked over towards Alex, giving her a slight bump with his shoulder, attempting his best smile. "Go on back to your kissing game," he said, motioning his hand towards the spin the bottle game. "I'm fine." Wes knew he probably was overthinking things. He'd tell Alex about it later that night when they were alone or tomorrow. After all, it was a party. She should be having fun, not consoling her friend.

Sloane was ready to accept her fate with the tide. It's not like it was obscenely cold or anything, but she definitely wasn't in the mood to get wet. Just when the current was about to reach her feet, the water froze. It arched around her in the shape of a horseshoe, cracking as it turned to ice. Her jaw dropped as she sat there in the sand with her book clutched to her chest.

She looked upwards towards the tall, dark boy that froze her book. Her gaze shifted back and forth between the frozen water and him. "Are you alright? The tide can be pretty unruly at this time of night" Sloane didn't know what to say, staring up at him as he shifted back and forth. He was the first person to really talk to her since she arrived at camp... Which left her speechless and dumbfounded. "I'm Domonik. Dom"

Dom then reached his hand out towards her, presumably to help her up. She swallowed, looking between his eyes and hand. After a moment, Sloane hooked her left fingers in the back strap of her heels, then used the same hand to hold her book to her chest. She hesitantly extended her hand, placing her palm in his. Dom's skin was chilled, not cold like ice but cool like an autumn breeze, soft and refreshing. Her fingers wrapped around his hand, grasping it firmly as he helped her to her feet.

Sloane felt unbelievably short standing beside him without her heels on. She looked over at the water then back towards him. "Thanks... It's the first time I've actually been to the beach. Makes sense that it tries to eat me." She flashed him a weak smile. When she looked down, she realized she was still holding his hand. Her cheeks flushed as her gaze darted up to meet his. "I'm Sloane, she said, giving his hand an awkward shake before releasing it.

After a second, she cleared her throat, brushing loose hair behind her ears. "I don't have any nicknames... Unless you count the names some of the campers call me." Sloane quickly bit her lip. Why did she say that? That wasn't important or necessary information. She was mentally kicking herself. This is why she was antisocial. As she stood there, holding her book and shoes, she could feel eyes on her. She glanced around, most of the campers engaged in their own activities. But then she saw the broken heeled Aphrodite girl glaring at her. Sloane's brows furrowed into a distasteful, disgusted bitch face.

She must have looked particularly menacing or something, because the girl promptly scurried away, disappearing into a crowd of campers. Sloane briefly smiled to herself, before turning her attention back towards Dom. "I uh... take it you don't like parties either?" Dumb question, but she had no idea what to say. She didn't necessarily feel awkward in his presence. If anything, his social ineptness was similar to her own. She just wasn't used to really talking to anyone other than Sylas and her mother... Which isn't much to go off of.

Sylas opted for more of a backseat role in the spin the bottle game. Observing was more of his forte rather than partaking. Of course, if and when the bottle landed on him, he'd make quite a show of it. Particularly if a tantalizing brunette across the way was the fate's chosen victim. Who was he to protest? After all, it's for the sport of the game.

He leaned back, stretching his arms out behind himself to support his weight. His long legs extended before him, crossing at the ankles. Sylas didn't quite see the enjoyment in girl on girl kissing like some other males do. It didn't get him all hot and bothered. Anyone kissing was just kissing in his eyes. The only kind that got him excited was when it included himself. Plus, the kiss between Kalani and Annie was anything but steamy. Seven minutes in heaven would be more exciting than watching a bunch of girl's kissing each other like five year old school girls.

But, the one thing that continued to hold his attention was the attractive gent that he sat across from. Sylas was by no means blind, and intentionally met the guy's gaze whenever he looked towards him. Spin the bottle or not, he had every intention on pursuing that. He had plump lips that looked like the prefect specimen for kissing. And if his suggestive looks said anything, it wouldn't end at just a kiss. Not that Sylas minded... At all.

Oh boy. Another girl landed on... You guessed it, another girl. Sylas tried to keep from actually rolling his eyes, although it was tempting. As if he didn't like Lise enough, her whole demeanor about the kiss was just, bleh. So far, this was the most boring game of spin the bottle. He came for the drama... And the hot boy. Nothing even remotely close to what he wanted was happening. Of course, his face showed a different story. Half seductive glances towards the main reason he joined, and half fake amusement, pretending like he actually enjoyed this game.

Image Duke joined the girls slowly and watched Evelyn's hand hang mid-air and return to her side without shake.

At this rate things might have been less awkward with the drunkards in spin the bottle. It was that unwelcoming he even thought about merging over towards that game. But he preferred not to kiss people under the circumstances that a bottle told him to. Besides, he wasn't sure if this was how Evelyn and McKenna talked to people or there was some underlying stand off thing going on. He preferred the first because then McKenna definitely had a friend in Eve.

Duke bit his tongue for now though, even when he found Eve's questions a little interrogative towards his sister. When she moved to the coolers, Duke took the opportunity to step towards McKenna. "Call me if you need anything." He knew McKenna could handle herself but Duke wanted to cover all basis. Drunks pushing beers in her hand, Evelyn pushing her temper were probably the most concerning at this point.

Duke approached the fire catching the tail end of Alex and Wes's conversation. "...make things awkward for them."
It sounded more like an intimate, private conversation so Duke kept walking, and frankly, finding heat wasn't ever an issue for him. For now he'd have to stay a little longer before calling it quits and returning to his cabin.

Image Mason tried not to snicker as it landed on Trinity. It looked like it took a while for things to click in place for her, but when it did, Trinity went for it. She didn't hesitate which probably knocked Lise's ego up a couple thousand notches. But even Mason was pretty impressed and if she had done the same to him and kissed him the same way, he'd have an inflated ego too. She hung there for an extra moment, flirting with the daughter of Athena. No that wasn't right...death threat?

β€œAl!” Trinity called.
"Don't call her over," Mason grumbled, rubbing his forehead. Even the concept of her rejoining, doing some stupid fake modest giggle about having to kiss someone, annoyed him. Or worse those over confident "seductive" smirks.

A few impatient heckles came her way and Trinity took the spin. When it landed on Theo, Mason peered at Trinity's expression and laughed. For a moment he was worried he'd have to grab Trinity when she pounced and attacked him and they'd have to make a hasty retreat but instead, she kissed him like she was going to war. His eyes widened and brows shot up. It was probably the first time Mason was envious of Theo. Like not knowing whether she was going to kill you or give you the best angry sex of your life...what a thrill.

Mason rolled out his neck. His eyes washed over the circle. If the son of Eris knew some sub-text, maybe he'd revel a little more in the drama or make some drama and chaos, or maybe he'd just keep undressing Mateo with his eyes. Mason's eyes landed on Adrianna and he couldn't help the small smirk that passed his lips. He was hopeful but pretty pessimistic about the odds of landing on her and while she was beautiful, he wasn't swept away in the idea of lust like so many others tonight.
Trinity shrunk back into her spot beside him causing him to turn back to her. β€œWell, next time I join something like this, don't let me.”
Mason laughed. "You did good, I'm honestly...blown away."
Trinity checked her beer. β€œThat’s my cue to go. Good luck, champ.”
"I almost feel left out. Don’t you have something for me?" He tapped his lips as Lise had and laughed.

Boy he hoped Romeo saw Trinity and Theo kiss. Did children of Aphrodite even feel jealousy? His head shifted to Kalani curiously.
"Ani," he said, he thought he had heard people call her that before, "who's your favorite on camp so far? It's not a trick question either," he assured with an amused smile. He definitely didn't expect Kalani to say him, unless in a joking nature. "Just some...soul searching. An interval game, if you will."

Ani isn't sure whether to be annoyed or amused when Lise lands on Trinity, but decides on the latter after Lise's comment. However the amusement quickly turns into surprise when Trinity goes straight in for the kill, something Ani was not expecting. Since Alex had left the circle, even though she'd asked to go next - which didn't make much sense to Ani - it went back to Trinity to spin once more. Landing on Theo.

While she may not have been here the year previous, from the look on Trinity's face, someone must have gone down between her and the son of Artemis. How exciting, Ani wasn't usually one for causing chaos, she was more of a wing-woman than a drama queen, she couldn't deny that this was pretty interesting. Unless, of course, it hurt Wes. In Ani's eyes it was just a game, but then she'd never been in love and seen that person kissing someone else, so who was she to say how her brother would feel? Chewing on her bottom lip, she sends a glance in her half-brother's direction, hoping he would be too engrossed in his conversation with Alex to have taken notice.

"Looks like it's your turn Theo," Ani beams, locking eyes with him, "Although I doubt anyone's gonna be able to top that kiss."
She continues, giggling ever so slightly.

"Ani," Turning her head back to the circle, Ani catches Mason's eye once more, this has gotta be the most he'd ever spoken to her, "Who's your favorite on camp so far? It's not a trick question either," Cocking her head to the side, Ani wonders why on earth Mason is asking her this, and more than that, why he would even care. "Just some...soul searching. An interval game, if you will."

Biting down on her bottom lip, Ani's gaze floats around the circle as she ponders on Mason's question. "Well," She begins, a wry smile forming on her lips, "I wouldn't wanna hurt your feelings and not say you, Mace; besides, I don't want to rule out anyone," Ani had never once heard a single person call Mason that during her time at Camp and hey, if it ruffled his feathers she didn't really care, Ani was intentionally teasing him. "However, I'm more interested in hearing who your favourite is." Subtly avoiding the subject and cracking jokes seemed like the best option to Ani and so she sent Mason a wink, messing with him. She didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings by not saying them, or worse yet, make anyone uncomfortable by labelling the her 'favourite person at camp'. Especially since it was probably Lise, and Ani wasn't quite ready to reveal her little crush yet. Not only that, but Ani was genuinely curious as to who Mason favoured seeing as they barely spoke, maybe it would give her more of an insight into the role he had played at Camp Athens last year, since no one wanted to tell Ani the full story, not even Wes wanted to get into it which Ani respected; he lost a lot last year.

Waiting for his response, Ani looks over to Adrianna who was still sat by his side, wondering whether he might say her. It would certainly get him into her good books, although he already seemed to be top of her list. If they didn't end up hooking-up tonight Ani would be shocked, not because Mason struck her as a particularly frisky person, but because Adrianna was queen of seduction - second only to Ani, naturally. Although even Ani couldn't deny that her friend had the 'hot mean girl' schtick down, something that never really appealed to Ani, but she genuinely enjoyed Adrianna's take on it. In fact, Adrianna had been one of her first friends at the camp, and while they were actually quite different, Ani believed it was their parentage that brought the girls together. Plus they were both pretty amazing at talking the pants off of just about anyone. Brushing a lock of brunette hair from her eyes, Ani shifts her gaze back onto Mason.

Theo lost focus on the game for a minute after he caught Gwen staring at him. He looked from Gwen to Trinity, wondering if things with this new girl would fare better for him than the last time he caught feelings for a demigoddess. Trinity's facial expression particularly his eye as she seemed deep in conversation with Mason. Theo's brows furrowed. That fire she always had behind her eyes was intensified, but he could almost see that it was burning out of rage. One of the new girls approached her, snapping Theo out of his state of intense observation. He glanced back at the bottle and realized that the girl had landed on Trinity. Theo almost laughed out loud. Trinity of all people... especially considering he could tell that whatever her and Mason had spoken about had royally pissed her off. She might slap the girl. Surprisingly though, she took the new girl's kiss like a champ. Trinity predictably tried to delay her own spin in favor of seeking an out, but she eventually gave into the peer pressure of the groaning demigods around her. She leaned into spin, and the bottle seemed to rotate forever. As it slowed down, Theo's eyes grew wide. No way... Then the bottle came to a stop, and the reality sunk in. It was pointing unmistakably in the direction of Theo. Shit.

It wasn't that Theo didn't want to kiss Trinity. Of course he did. Just because he had gotten past his crush, she was still Trinity. She was still just as beautiful and fierce. Theo would still do anything for her, but he wasn't sure if she knew that or not. Honestly, he would probably be right back to how he felt before if she felt the same way all of a sudden.

The next few seconds were a blur for Theo. Trinity stomped her way towards him, and he just sat there. He couldn't really move. He was held in place by the weight and the irony of the moment. What if Wes saw? Why did this moment that he had wanted for so long have to come in a stupid game? And what the hell was Trinity mad about? Then she pulled him up with one hand and her back and her lips came to meet his. Theo was shocked by the fire behind the kiss. Was that fury? He almost didn't know how to react. Was she gonna pull away and slap him or was she kissing him with some passion she had never admitted to? Then it clicked that he was kissing a girl, and he let himself get into it for the rest of the kiss. It wasn't like it was long, but it definitely wasn't short. It happened, and then it was over. Trinity turned on her heels and promptly left the circle with only a look and a comment to Mason. Theo just stood there for a second probably looking stupid. No doubt he had a stunned gape on his face.

Kalani broke him from his daze, "Looks like it's your turn Theo. Although I doubt anyone's gonna be able to top that kiss." Theo snapped back to reality, but his mind followed Trinity through the crowd. He needed to go to talk to her. He quickly leaned down to spin the bottle. He could care less who it landed on. It spun and spun until it slowed and ended up pointing at the daughter of Hera. Theo was pretty sure she had said her name was Adrianna. Usually, he would have savored this moment. She was on the short list of hottest girls at Camp Athens, but Theo was too floored by the events of the past five minutes to even care. He approached her, giving her a slight smirk for show and planted a quick peck on her lips. Then he turned away and left the circle at the same place Trinity had. He spotted her immediately as she walked. Theo felt a twinge of guilt as he passed Wes on his way after her. He really hoped the guy hadn't seen what went down. I'll deal with that later. Theo pressed on as he finally caught up to Trinity. He slowly but firmly grabbed her arm to turn her around. He wasn't violent about it in any way. Still, he could never be too careful with sneaking up on the warrior princess. His inhibitions were in the wind at the moment.

"Hey, are you okay? And don't lie to me. I can see it. You know I've always been able to read it in your eyes," Theo stammered out. "Talk to me, Trin." Theo tried to give her a reassuring smile, but he wasn't even sure that came out right.

After Nik scurried away to get the drinks Gwen felt a tad bit awkward. Without the boy who dragged her into the circle in the beginning, she couldn't help but feel a little out of place. Not to mention seeing Theo leave with Alex left a sad pit in her stomach, she hadn't even had the courage to talk to him, so why would she get her hopes up anyway. It was an irrational and girly crush that was probably never going to happen.

Her train of thought was disrupted when she felt a light hand on her shoulder and turned to see Finn, "Wanna head back?"
She breathed a tiny, but audible sigh of relief as Finn was a great excuse to leave the circle without looking like she had copped out. "Yes. Thank gods, I thought I was going to be stuck in this circle for forever..." She whispered back, a small grin on her face.

"Annie, me and Gwen are going to walk back now, do you wanna come?" A true gentleman. The quick thought reminded Gwen of the girl she had seen Finn talking with earlier, it was definitely a topic she was going to have to talk to him about. She got to her feet, dusting off the stray particles of sand that had clung to her legs and shorts from sitting down. Saying a quick goodbye to Em and some of the others she really didn't wait for Annie and Finn. If she was being honest the comfort of her bed just sounded too good to be true.

When they finally made it to the cabins she waved a sheepish goodbye to Annie, and offered Finn a small "Goodnight, I'll see you in the morning".

"I... never really thought of it that way." She was beautiful when she smiled. "Thank you". He was pleasantly surprised in how easy it was to talk to her, which was something that he had never experienced. So much so, that he couldn't control pretty much half the things that he said. It was a strange feeling.

Dom noticed the small bit of animosity when he asked her why she had come in the first place. "Sylas made me come." He watched her gaze shift to that of her brother's, sitting in the 'spin the bottle circle'. He inwardly cringed at the though, he could never imagine himself indulging in simplistic and pointless games. Sylas, for one looked quite self-indulged and was oddly grinning at the both of them when he made eye contact. He turned back to Sloane and gathered from the look on her face that they must've not been the best of siblings, there was definitely something off.

"Figured if I had to come, I shouldn't be utterly bored." She had a definite point, and had already completely beat Dom in the idea of 'surviving a party'. "What are you reading?" He asked quietly staring at the worn front cover of the book. "It's The Iliad. A book everyone should read, especially demigods." Dom watched as she flipped through the weathered pages carefully, she obviously was attached to the story. "It's a good read, but you have to read the Odyssey once you've finished it. The Iliad is about the Trojan War, while the Odyssey follows Odysseus after the war."

There was a small pause in her train of thought, he noticed her shift in thought, and was surprised when she took a step and held the book out to him. "You can borrow it... If you want." His expression probably came dumbfounded as she smiled at him waving the book in his direction. This was the first time someone had ever offered him to borrow something, he didn't know how to react. "I've read it like a hundred times."

He gently took the book from her hold and admired the cover for a moment looking up at her a rather goofy smile on his face. "T-thank you. I promise I'll take good care of it. Or at least try not to give it frostbite again". He glanced back at the group of partygoers and watched as the majority of them started to leave. It was an odd thought for him, in the beginning he wanted nothing more than to leave but now it was quite the opposite. "I guess I better head back" He shifted back and forth on his feet for a moment. Another thing he was terrible at, goodbyes. "It was lovely meeting you, hopefully we get to see each other again soon. I mean, I have to return the book so we'll have to- I guess it just depends on how long it takes me to read it" He needed to stop talking. His face flushed a bright red, and he took a step back clutching the book to his chest. "I'll see you around" He said quietly with a small smile before disappearing quite abruptly partially embarrassed about half the things that came out of his mouth.

When he finally made it back to his cabin he feel back into the bed, staring giddily at the ceiling. After a moment he grabbed the book and opened the cover running his thumb over the small pencil inscription, 'Sloane Astor'. He smiled before closing it and placing the book on his bedside table eventually giving into his tiredness and falling asleep.

Mateo could practically feel the vibe of the party quickly die as most of the campers started to loss interest in what was happened. He hated when parties lost their fire, there was nothing more boring than that. He leaned over to his sister, "Hey Adri, I'm going to go ahead and head back". With that he pushed himself up from the circle, dusting sand off of his pants waving a short goodbye to everyone.

He walked around the edge of the circle towards the exit of the beach not before stopping next to the boy he had laid eyes on the entire night. He leaned down next to him, his mouth dangerously close to Slyas's ear. "See you around, Sylas" He whispered with a smirk before getting up and leaving the beach.

When he got back to his cabin he quickly changed into a pair of loose Adidas pants and fell back on to his bed with a sigh. Even though the party hadn't been too exciting he was still exhausted, but it wasn't anything a little sleep couldn't fix. With that he buried himself into the fluffy covers and fell asleep immediately.

STAFF ANNOUNCEMENT - ALARIC HART

ImageHe headed to the hall with a large bag over his shoulder prompting the camp attendees outside to follow him as he passed so he could make the announcement. Other staff patrolled the camp rounding the strays up or those that chose to slumber in their cabins.

Once he was burrowed in towards the back of the hall, he begun. "Excuse me." He cleared his throat. "Excuse me." Having little success to gain their focus that way, he whistled loudly, its sound easily carrying through the hall.
"Great. Now, it has come to my attention that the camp has been making ill on its promises to help harness and flourish your powers and provide exciting activity. So today, we play an extreme capture the flag. And yes it's mandatory that you participate. As elementary as that may sound, you need it. Welcome to camp. The teams will be split up in two.."

He cleared his throat and read from his list. "The Red Spartans: Alexandria, Andromeda, Dominick, McKenna, Ji-hyun, Sloane, Theo, Harleen, Finley, Atticus, Adrianna, Kalani, Elias, Nikoloas, Lise, Mason."

He looked up from his list expecting the groans to roll in but protesting would get them nowhere.

"The Blue Trojans: Ajax, Gwendolyn, Trinity, Wesley, Sylas, Annie, Seung-min, Emery, Dimitri, Duke, Keith, Isobel, Mateo, Areum, Raven and Evelyn."

"You die, you lose. You tap out, you lose. You get your color taken from you, you lose and come back to the hall and watch."
He dropped his bag with a grunt on a nearby table with a clatter. "Your colors are at your base. These are your weapons. You do not have to use a weapon, they will not be given to you. You can use your powers." He smirked a little. "Welcome to the Hunger Games." The reference to the gripping YA book probably went over at least half the camp attendants heads. Most didn't give reading the time of day, and those that did read probably didn't concern themselves with something so modernized, their noses either stuck in the air or buried in work of literature and ancient tales instead.
Alaric was mostly referring to the cornucopia aspect. The weapons would be scattered among the woods and there’s for the taking, most of which were right at the center of the woods, gleaming and beckoning to be taken in the crossfire.
The camp attendees could figure out for themselves that the pain they could experience would be no more than a phantom pain via the weapons, traps and beasts that the very gods themselves, and some demigods designed and helped set up.

It would be best to see them treat it as real as possible.

"Do not go for fatal blows on each other," he warned as the final and only rule. A demigod turning on another demigod that way was vicious and cruel, and Alaric as well as other staff had no tolerance for it. It had no place in their camp.
"There are currently some hostile beasts prowling the woods," he assured in case anyone was disheartened by the idea of no-fatality experience. However, their very jaws and beings were enchanted so when they clamped down on a demigod fatally, they'd be warped straight to the hall. "You have two minutes to get to the woods, get your colors on, hide your flag within these perimeters," he pointed to the map's red and blue colored area on opposite ends of each other -AKA their bases, "devise a plan and create a universal safe word if you have to."

"I hope you're all awake, because time starts now."

Image "No offense taken. But with similar respect, the same could be said of a Hades child."
It was refreshing to come across someone so wise and Mason nodded with the statement to show, likewise, no offense was taken. "But, you can rest assured when I give someone my word, I follow through," Sylas added taking another grape from his bowl. "And I don't scare easily. I'm not frightened of a little bit of lightening."
Mason found himself nodding again and shrugging. Many would claim so. Jenn wasn't scared of lightening but the psycho bitch cut her head off. If you weren't scared of lightening and submissive to the spawns of Zeus they were particularly hostile because you didn't spoon-feed their massive egos.

"I think allies would be a more appropriate term. Friends aren't really in my wheel house. And no, I don't expect you to just trust me. Trust and friendship is earned... Not freely given."
"That it is."
Giving Sylas another look over Mason guessed they wouldn't evolve to such a stage. Keeping things business or as strictly allies would fit them both best. Worry of each other likely wouldn't come into the picture until after the Valises were gone. But who knew what the future held.

"Well, I mean we could simply just corner one of them... Stab stab. Job's done." Thankfully his lack of enthusiasm demonstrated that was among the most plain ideas and not a real one. "That lacks... Creativity, for lack of a better term. Sure, death is the end goal but we don't want it to be swift and merciful. It's more satisfying destroying someone, breaking them down and ruining them, root and stem."
What did he think Mason was doing? In addition to waiting for the right moment to present itself, he was trying some behind the scenes works. But he liked that Sylas liked the slower route. It was a bit more of a gamble but if it was a job done right, it would be most rewarding.
"I don't know how devious you are... But, I liked the idea of turning everyone they love against them."
Mason actually threw his hands up in the air and gestured to the hall. "Thank you! Finally someone gets it! I know I'm pretty but I haven't been spending my time doing my hair and flossing my teeth and solely thinking of ways to kill them." Mason hadn't exactly been targeting people they love to turn against them either, for the sheer fact that he couldn't even stand to be in radius of a Valis worshiper and they were harder to convert.
Actually, Mason was doing little in truth. He was just being a bit more social and charming and Alex already did the murdering. Mason did have one good asset though, however that was more an ace up the sleeve for him.

After a long moment in thought with his tongue pressed to his cheek, he spoke again. "I wouldn't mind dying to make a point. Providing old Pops brings me back." The camp needed to see the monsters under the surface. That it wasn't a one off thing. Like Sylas he wanted to ruin and bury their reputations and ruin the trust fellow demigods mistakenly placed in them. And sure, just to make it really burn, make their world collapse, turn the people they love against them.

Then, a staff member paced through the hall capturing Mason's attention. As he could have guessed, he was on a mission. Once he gathered everybody's attention, he laid out the task ahead.

It was in moments like so where Mason really had to reflect on his life choices, or certainly the choice of returning to camp and not killing Zeus's kids. Now he was teamed up with the one he despised most of all. At first he was consumed in hatred and distaste but eventually it evolved to a glimpse of opportunity. Extreme capture the flag meant full contact. In this case, it meant letting the demigods run wild like animals. Mason glanced back to Sylas. "Is the boy next door facade still staying on in the heat of competition?" He smirked and got up. Now was the time to see what those twins were made of that so easily slipped under the radar.

His legs carried him there automatically and he was in another head space entirely, even as he wrapped the band around his arm. Except when he had to tune in on the team speech, Mason supposed that might have been important. Important to feign attention in anyway as winning or losing didn't really matter to him. How many rematches could happen down the track, and what did winning really prove? That you had a good team and the right players? That they were lucky? Mason crossed his arms and waited for any outgoing brains to take initiative.

ImageTwo minutes!? Duke paced off to what was temporarily known as the Blue Trojan's base. He wasn't going to hide the flag, leaving that duty instead to the likes of Ajax or better, Seung-min. He pulled a blue bandanna and wrapped it around his forearm.

Duke pressed his tongue to his cheek on his little over-eager team. The hype was good, but they needed a strategy implemented, especially when the opposing team had the likes of Lise and McKenna. "We need defenders, attackers and maybe a mid-field. We also need to consider our biggest threats. Harleen, she's quick, she's deft, you dont want your band taken off you without knowing you've even been touched. Likewise, Andy, military brat and witch, she'll be more confrontational and physical, keep your wits about you. Kalani can seduce you, stay focused. Adrianna, I've never seen her competitive side but I can guess she has one, and not to underestimate her."
He gestured to Mateo because the very same applied to him. Then again who wasn't a threat? He gave up. "Take out the Spartans brains, healers and manipulators first, then deal with the brutes. They probably think we're a confrontational side too, that we're going in with guns blazing, but let's try to be a little more subtle. Travel in pairs if you can. Not attached at the hip though."
If there was an ambush, he’d prefer one teammate to go down and not a collective of them.
"Wes, Raven, Dimitri, Isobel cover the middle, please." Together the four made a disarming pair, and a protective one too if they accessed the right emotions and triggers, and powers of course.
"Emery, Seung-min, Sylas and Evelyn, you're our secret weapons. Aim for the Spartan's flag. Avoid the heat of the battle if you can, use evasive or defensive techniques." The four could get creative. Their gifts and applications were always a surprise and they weren't the type that urged an immediate threat. "Ajax, Trinity; they'll be expecting us. Let's not disappoint." They were probably the renowned biggest war-heads. Without them near the front line of battle, the opposition would get suspicious about their presence.
"Daniel -uh, Keith, stay as a line of defense. Gwendolyn, I think you'd make a strong offense but it depends where you want to go, you'd know where you're best kept. Annie, I think we need you to press forward too. Look after our assault team and stun some opponents. If that makes you uncomfortable, stay back with Keith."
Duke looked between the remainder of Areum and Mateo. The demigods whose attitude he most struggled to grasp. Daniel needed some help in defense, but he felt their usefulness could be better spent elsewhere. In the middle as both offensive and defensive forces.

Then he caught himself, swept up in heat of the moment. "That's my suggestion anyway," he said so the more sensitive didn't kick up a fuss about him taking lead on a strategy or 'ordering them around'. After all, he was no child of Athena or son of Zeus. "Anybody else got an idea?"

ImageKeith tried not to be so evaluating and calculating of the new state of camp. It seemed to bustle with a few more energetic bodies than last year and definitely a few more brooding faces and vibes. He felt his heart sink in the knowledge that it'd be hard to make friends. There seemed so little room for the socially awkward and everybody else already had established their "clique".

Sometimes the camp could be exceptionally boring and dull, but that was something he simply had to endure like everyone else and hope the next day would be more rewarding. His degree of boredom would just be more though. His lips pressed in a line and he plucked out his earphones and shuffled through his phone for a tune that could ignite his soul. Keith smiled slightly when he found it. Some would argue it was a little too swaggerish for him but part of him really liked it and had a guilty pleasure listening to JT.

The son of Hecate traveled through camp territory for another year of learning and fighting evil, having to suppress the urge to walk in rhythmic bounces and pull some Michael Jackson move. He made his way to hall, typically the central congregation point of people, new and regular. That, plus some staff waved him over to and pointed to it.

Some larger species of male had bumped him. "Daniel," they said casually, but he was bowing to the ground to retrieve his glasses that were knocked down on impact. He carefully placed them back on the bridge of his nose, surprised to see the brute had actually taken to stop and staring. For a round two, he prayed not.
Keith slowly rose and for some time it seemed they just stared at each other. "I'm sorry," Keith said finally and spun on his heel to take an extended detour. It wasn't worth getting his teeth knocked out and he didn't want to cause any trouble. Keith had spent some time in the gym on his holidays and become a bit more solid in build, but it was nothing that girls would second look or enough to engage in a fist-fight confidently. The hall would still be there too. He wasn't missing anything.

When he slid into the hall an announcement was happening, and he shrunk into the wall then nestled into a corner and slowly pulled out his earplugs. An extreme mandatory capture the flag...what could go wrong. Inside, Keith wanted to die there and then or dissolve into a puddle. It was like high school P.E class and the untalented still had to participate even when no one really wanted them on the team, and they didn't really want to participate, and the teachers were the only ones that thought it was a good idea in the entire universe. He sighed out and was the first to exit the hall and make his way to blue base.

Duke started rattling off a plan, and while he was smart and confident and that was semi-contagious when it came to his plan, Keith was super insecure about being the last line of defense by guarding the base especially by his lonesome. That was enough pressure for him to develop a twitch and have a nervous breakdown. But externally, there was no more displayed than light levels of anxiety.
