Pete can mostly be described as unkempt. His hair, once a light brown, has grown dark and shaggy as if he once lost his hair brush and never bothered to buy a new one. It is long enough to fall over his eyes but he seems not to care. All his jeans have holes and rips. And Pete constantly seems like he was just woken in the middle of the night without a chance to shave properly or even have a coffee. His eyes are ringed in dark circles, and he always seems a million miles away from whatever is going on. Most tend to label him a druggy and move on.

Pete isn't overly tall, but with his lanky limbs, he seems like he could be. A man not made for boxing or any other physical sport, he isn't bulky or covered in muscle. But his shoulders are broad, and he can carry his weight.

xxxxxxxxxxxxx a b i l i t y xx \ ə - ˈ b i - l ə - t ē \ x

possession x // x for Pete's best trick, he can possess humans, with a simple touch he can transfer his soul into someone else's body, and when the body dies his soul returns to his own body no harm done. It does leave his own body vulnerable, and possession is very draining so he can't do it for more than a few hours.

influence thoughts/actions x // x while not as talents as his sister, Pete can implant thoughts and actions into the minds of others.

shadow movement x // x Pete can hide in shadows, and walk thhrough them, teleporting himself around.

produce poison x // x Pete's sister can control this ability turning it on and off, but for Pete, this ability is unconscious and fixed. Meaning that his blood is always poisonous and will burn anyone who touches it.

F O R T I T U D O
xxxxxxxxxxxxx s t r e n g t h xx \ ˈ s t r e ŋ ( k ) t h \ x

Overlooked x // x Pete's outward appearance as a bit of a drop kick, and his tendency to stick to the outskirts and shadows, means that he is rarely given much notice. Which is perfect for him, because he couldn't think of anything worse than being noticed and thought of. But it also means that when he does act, he often catches people off guard.

Reading People x // x like his sister, Pete has a history of manipulation and lies. And in order to accomplish this you have to be able to read people, notice their body language and the topic that skirt around. It helps that people tend to forget he's there, hiding in the shadows.

Follow through x // x perhaps because Pete rarely acts, when he does, he means it. He sees his sister, flighty and half-hearted, and chooses to be different. He knows what he's capable of, so he never over promises and when he says he will do something, he won't quit until he's done it.

I N F I R M I T A T E
xxxxxxxxxxxxx w e a k n e s s xx \ ˈ w ē k - n ə s \ x

Eve x // x Pete isn't dumb or blind. He knows his sister is trouble with a capital T, but she's also his sister. He has spent his entire life being her other half and would do anything for her. Which has often in the past lead him to doing really dumb things. Everyone's got a weak spot, and his just has a perchance for getting herself into trouble.

Patience x // x Pete has run out of patience unfortunately. Not that he ever had much of it, he hates being made to wait, or being held up.

Teamwork x // x he has no interest in being of a team, or working within one. He doesn't want your help, and he will not be helping you out.

M E T U M
xxxxxxxxxxxxx f e a r xx \ ˈ f i r \ x

Eve x // x she's quite frankly, a ticking time bomb. He knows one day her lies and schemes will explode around her in a way that not even Pete can fix, and he knows when that happens he'll have no choice but to go into the fire by her side. It's what you do for family.

himself x // x unfortunately, he's had to clean up one too many of Eve's messes and now he knows what he's capable of. He never thought of himself as the hero of the story, but that didn't mean he wanted to end up the cold-hearted villian either.

Opening up x // x he doesn't like himself, doesn't like what he's done, and doesn't like what he'll probably do again. So sharing that information isn't exactly high on his list.

P E R S O N A L I T A T E
xxxxxxxxxxxxx Loner xx Dark xx Impatient xx Conflicted x

Pete is a complete loner, always hiding away in the shadows of crowd. He's not shy, quiet or insecure, he just has no need or want for friends. The way he sees it, he has his own problems, and he'd rather not be burdened with anyone else's. He believes everyone should just get by doing their own thing in their own bubble. The world is a lot cleaner that way. So instead of cultivating deep lasting friendships, Pete spends a lot of time doing, quiet, solitary activities. He's often off reading a book, or sitting by a lake. Definitely not one for physical, adventurous activities.

But his other reason for holding himself at a distance is because when you make friends and become close with people, they tend to want to know things about you, and expect you to talk about yourself sometimes. But the thing is, Pete doesn't really like himself. He's not really all the interesting on his own, and when it comes to talking about his past. Well, taking out off the stuff he won't talk about, there's not really much left. His conflicted feelings towards his sister, and his own actions, aren't really something he likes dwelling on, so he doesn't know why he'd want to share it with someone else.

Pete is impatient. He as never born with much of it, snapping over indecisive people and being made to wait for anything. But lately, he's found that his become even more grumpy and short tempered. When ever he sees someone hesitating he'll use his powers to force them into action, weak people who can't make up their minds, or are too scared to speak the truth only frustrate him. He's tired with all his sister's bullshit, and so he no longer has time for anything but straightforward honesty. Regardless if it leads to conflict and violence. He knows that hasn't always been his policy, he was once a bigger liar than his sister, but he won't be called a hypocrite. He's trying to live his life free of lies, deception and complications.

Despite knowing his sister's true colours, and the lengths she'll go, Pete still loves her. Turning off that switch would be impossible, they are each other's other half. He has and will throw away ever moral line he has to keep her safe, even if its a danger she's brought on herself. He knows she's the villain of this story, and that he'd be a better person without her, but his heart isn't on the same page. After all he might be the only person in the world who understands her, as he was once the same as her.

H I S T O R I A R U M

Pete was born 22 minutes after Eve, a fact that she will never let him forget. Always making sure everyone knows that he is in fact her little brother despite them being twins. Unlike Eve, who has always sought Hera's approval, Pete has never seen her as a mother. He's never considered anyone a parent to him and Eve, as the bastard children of an adulterous man, they were given food and a roof, but they raised themselves up.

Neither their father nor his wife gave them much notice. Hence the two of them grow together like weeds, intertwined and inseparable, they went everywhere together. Using their powers, they played tricks and caused mischief wherever they went, unchecked by any parental guidance. Perhaps this is why children should not be left to raise themselves.

It wasn't until their family left for Scotland, and the two of them were left alone on the street of London, that they grew out of control. They would lie and cheat their way into penthouse apartments for a weekend, and steal from whoever seemed vulnerable. Anytime one of Eve's lies went too far, Pete could always step in. When they trashed a hotel suite, he could always possess a bellboy and make him confess to the crime, never really minding when happened to that boy once they were done.

It wasn't till Pete was seventeen, that his realised his actions did have consequences, even if they weren't his to live out. When he possessed a maid to steal from a safe for them, she was caught and sent to prison, leaving her seven year old son without a guardian. He left the money with the son, even though Eve called him weak for it. In her mind they'd grown up with nothing so they were just taking a slice for themselves.

Two years later after unsuccessfully trying to reign in Eve's over the top schemes, Pete was once again drawn into the fray. Eve stole from the wrong person. stumbling across a money laundering business, she convinced a member, Richie, to let her in, then helped herself to a cut. Of course the group noticed, and when they found out Richie had let her in, they killed their loose end. But it didn't end there, Richie's best friend came for Eve, wanting seeking his own revenge. So she looked to Pete to do what he always does, clean up her mistakes.

He possessed Richie's best friend, and made him jump of the highest bridge he could find. Eve laughed it off as just an oversight, but Pete can still feel the crushing of bone, and tearing of skin. Ever since he's never been able to look at her the same way, to him she is only a ticking time bomb, one which he'll be forced to clean up after.

After that, they both knew they had to get out of London, so Camp Athens seemed like just the place. Even if they were pretty late for this summer.

Image "So?" He spun around playfully, causing Alex to smile as she watched him. "It's weird, having two arms again." He laughed. "I just managed to figure out tying my shoes one-handed... kind of."

She chuckled. "You've never allowed one arm to get you down, though, which is pretty damn awesome if you ask me."

He moved over to the door, nodding toward the exit. "Are you ready to go?" he asked, and opened the door for her, giving Alex a smile before motioning in the general direction of the party. Her stomach was doing cartwheels. She smiled and softly tucked a few strands of her hair behind her left ear. "I'm ready" she told him with a smile still plastered on her little face. She couldn't wait to get there. Finally, she could be herself again. She hooked her arm around Wes's, grinning as she clung to his arm excitedly as they made their way toward the beach. The path which leads down to it was lit up beautifully with lanterns. It was magical. The staff had done a good job, and no doubt one or both of the Hecate kids would kick it up a few notches if they needed to.

With her hold still on her friend, Alex stood marveling at the sight with a sigh of happiness. "Let's make this a night to remember" she grinned, sinking into his side as if going to tickle him before she leads the way towards the refreshments.

She decided to go for the tropical-flavored drinks that sat in the ice to remain nice and chilled. The staff was on hand at the bbq, cooking up some burgers and hotdogs if anyone wanted any during the night. Even pizza got ordered. She glanced around for Pete, Duke, and her brother who sat by himself. She would have gone over to him, but she could tell that he wanted to be by himself for a bit since he took to distancing himself from everyone else. "If there's any dancing... you going to ask Trinity?" she asked Wes.

Son of Zeus || Hex: Green Outfit for Party

He could tell that Andy didn't want any of this, but she wasn't to blame even if she believed herself to be a monster. He didn't think she was. Not even for a second could he label her as such since she was beautiful. "I do love you, Ajax," she whispered into his shoulder as she remained close to him. He closed his eyes as he slowly ran his fingertips up and down the center of her back. Hopefully what he was doing was right, or he'd have to come to terms with losing her for good.

"I know you do." he whispered back and sighed gently before he lay one more kiss on her forehead, but this time it lingered as if he was saying goodbye to her. "I'll see you at the party, maybe?" he gently parted from her, looking between her eyes as he cupped her face in silence. He brushed the pad of his thumb against the corner of her lips before he cropped his hand and headed passed her.

* * * * * *

With the shower now running, Ajax removed his clothes before he stepped in under the running water. He tilted back his head with his eyes shut as he tried to clear his thoughts of her. He poured shampoo into his hand and rubbed the stuff through his dark hair. He could almost feel her smooth dainty fingers running over his wet muscular frame, all the way down to his hips. He braced his hands against the shower wall and hung his head down with heavy breaths. You're an idiot. Fancy letting her go. What if she does choose Mason over you? you're not exactly a competition. All the girls seem to prefer the bad boys, and you're far from it. You're boring her no doubt. Ajax clenched his jaw and ran his hand angrily down his face to snap himself out of it, and to wipe away the soapy water that began to run down from his hair.

Image He didn't even feel like going to the party anymore. His entire room reminded him of her, and he felt terrible for what had happened, but it had to be done for her. He managed to throw on a casual outfit that hung up in his closet, and In minutes he was freshened up for the evening, and out of the door without another thought.

He never regretted that night they shared together, but he wished it was much more romantic for both of them. Somewhere much more special than just a drunken tumble in his bedroom, but it wasn't just sex to him. It was being close to her that he had wanted. A moment to have her all to himself.

He grabbed two beers once there with the others and began to chug one of them down in hopes that it would lighten his mood because right now, feeling like this wasn't the mood to be in at a damn party. Great timing Ajax. he thought to himself, wiping his mouth with the back of his wrist as he looked around the beach.

He watched briefly as His sister stood to talk to Wes and laughing. It was good to see her being herself again after being almost damned to an eternity of wandering the underworld, trying to atone for something that hadn't happened without influence and manipulation. She could finally be happy again.

Ajax placed his other bottle on the sand beside his feet and got the fire going before taking a seat on one of the wooden logs laying by the warm flames. He sat there in silence for a moment or two, just enjoying the quiet serenity of the evening. It wouldn't be long before music flowed, along with some party games for them to all join in on. He glanced around the beach one more time, looking for Duke.

"I don't blame you. If it makes you feel better, I am having murderous thoughts of my own. Maybe we can share grievances while you walk me to my cabin?" She released his shoulder and began the trek back to the cabins.

He watched her walk away as he took one last drag of cigarette, before crushing the butt under his heel and following along behind her. It might have sounded a lot like a question, but he knew a command when he heard one. “Murderous thoughts? The catfight up in Olympus I suppose?” He shoved his hands into his pocket as he kept pace with her. Even a loner like him knew about the fight between Trinity and Liv, no idea what it was about, but he didn’t really care. “No doubt my sister had a hand in that.” He mumbled the words to himself, but apparently Liv had picked up on them anyway.

"On a scale of 1 to ten, how badly would you like to murder your sister? Also, would you consider me a partner in crime for future conspiracies against our peers?" She spoke with a light hearted tone, and caused a slight chuckle to tumble out of Pete. He was a good read of character and could tell there was a ghost of truth behind her words, which ignited his curiosity.

“Ten.” He answered confidently before shaking his head and answering more truthfully. “Or Zero. See, it’s complicated.” He wanted to wring Eve’s neck, but the idea of anyone else doing the same made him see red.

Shaking it off, he looked over at Liv with a smirk, eyeing her up for a moment. “As for partner? Well, taking on an Ares bird is pretty badass.” They arrived at her cabin, and as she rose up the stairs he clucked his tongue. “Not sure you’d be wise to trust me though.” With a smirk he headed off to his own cabin.

"So, bonfire. What time will you come by to pick me up so that we can go together?" She asked causing Pete’s eyebrows to raise, he hadn’t expected to actually want to go let alone ask for a pick. Well, she wasn’t really asking.

Which meant he couldn’t really say no either. “6.”
.:. .::. .:.

“Why are you here?” Pete scowled across the room to where Eve was sitting in front of his mirror doing her makeup. She’d arrived two hours ago with a bottle of vodka and had refused to leave, insisting on catching him up on all the camp gossip. Even when he’d pointedly ignored her by sticking his nose in a book.

With a mascara wand paused in mid-air she flashed him a grin. “I’m not going to be one of those sad girls who gets ready for a party alone.” She swivelled her head back to the mirror, no doubt unable to go long without looking at her own reflection, and continued on her makeup.

"You could try making a friend." He suggested sarcastically, she'd have to be nice to someone for that to happen. He left the room to get ready and returned to find Eve pouring out two shots. “I’m not touching that. You’ve probably poisoned it.” He said barely sparing her a glance as he headed for the door. She shrugged, did both shots than followed after him, grabbing his elbow to take him to the beach.

He pulled out of her talons and started off in the other direction, towards Liv’s cabin. “You go. I’ll meet you there.” He tried to keep it vague but he couldn’t lie. And not just for moral reasons, this was his sister, she’d smell a lie on him a mile off.

Eve responded with smirk large enough that it almost seemed like a sneer. “Aww, Little Petey’s got a date?” Pete didn’t respond that it wasn’t a date, there was no point, and instead he stayed quiet. And Eve knew him better than to expect a response. He felt her eyes assessing him. “Who?” He remained quiet, but she continued to hound him. His scowl grew darker and darker, he was pretty much glowering by the time the siblings arrived at Liv’s, where she was leaving her cabin. “Her?” Eve stated quietly for his ears only, she sounded like she was holding back laughter. “Of course you’d go for the camp pariah.” Liv was approaching them now, so Eve only had time for one last barb. “She’ll bore someone like you.”

“Hey Liv, hope you don’t mine me tagging along on your little date.” Eve said with a chipper smile, without a hint of malice, resting an arm on his shoulder. Pete had to admit she was a good actress, but he refused to play along as he didn’t bother to hide his own scowl. He nodded to Liv, figuring she was smart enough to realise she wasn’t the cause of his dark mood. “You look great by the way Liv. Pete took ages getting ready, he was so nervous.” He rolled his eyes, but didn’t bother denying it, it wasn’t worth the effort, and he’d learnt early on with his sister not to play her game. You were better off not engaging. “Well, let’s rock and roll.” Eve said leading the way down to the beach.

“Yeah, if we don’t hurry up we’ll miss all the good songs,” Pete replied darkly, flashing Liv a smirk. At least she was like him, a natural loner. They arrived at the party, and Pete knew his sister was going to take off. Go bother someone more interesting. But just in case she needed the prodding, he spotted Mason dancing. “Looks like lover boy found someone new.” Of course, Eve had spent the better part of the evening filling him in on everything she’d been up to. Enough to make his ears bleed really.

Pete turned to Liv speaking only to her, “Drink?” He really needed one. So he led the way, scooping up a beer and cracking it open. He spotted Alex not far off chatting with Wes, was she ever without him or Duke? When he caught her eye he made a point of eyeing her outfit, what little of it there was. Raising his eyebrows with a smirk, he took a long mouthful of his beer. Unlike him and Liv, Alex seemed custom built to enjoy a party.

Looking Liv he gave his a small, bashful smile. “Sorry.” He mumbled, he didn’t really feel he needed to explain what the apology was for. He figured the idea of asking him to pick her up was to avoid attention and having to talk to people, which Eve had ruined.

Eve had to restrain herself from glaring at her brother. She’d gone round to his cabin with good intentions, hoping a good dose of gossip would snap him out of his moody funk. All she received for her efforts were his scowls. Pete nodded across the dancefloor, ”Looks like lover boy found someone new.” Eve’s eyes followed his and saw Mason starting to dance with Iliana, her eyebrow spiked upwards at the bizarre pairing.

She looked back at her brother with a coy smile. “So you were listening today.” She decided that she just had to investigate further so she gave a half salute to Pete and Liv, “Laters. Enjoy being all sulky you two.” Then she delved into the party, heading towards the dancing pair, getting there in time to catch Mason’s smirk towards Heath. It didn’t take a genius to figure out what the smirk was about and Eve was almost proud to see him pushing someone else’s buttons.

She decided pretty quickly to help and sidled up to Heath and the guy he was a talking to, hearing the end of Heath’s comment about watching Iliana dance. She smiled up at both of them then flicked her eyes to dancing couple with a smirk “I get to see Mason dancing? Is it my birthday?” She eyed up Heath, flicking her eyes from him to Iliana and back a few times. Deliberately making herself look concerned as she leaned towards him. “You know, I’m super impressed with you. I thought you’d be over there all growly and ripping the two of them apart.”

She placed a hand on his arm using it to influence his thoughts, Be protective of Iliana. Keep her away from Mason. She didn’t say the words out loud, not wanting to give the game away, so her magic would be less binding. But if he was already feeling a little protective or conflicted, her magic would seep in and mould his thoughts like putty.

Dropping her hand she shifted her attention to the brunette with Heath. She eyed him over, he looked familiar, but surely she would have noted a good looking guy like him, not to mention she’d be aware if Mason had a friend. She didn’t count Andy. “And you,” She chucked a thumb towards where Mason was off dancing. “I would have bet serious money on that guy having no friends.” She laughed running her hands through her hair and lowering her voice to a false whisper. “Between you and me, I think he fancies himself as some kind of big scary wolf.” She flashed him a playful grin, to show that she meant no harm. Playing the friendly card until she knew what kind of guy she was dealing with. “I’m Eve.”

Andy was about turn the handle and go back inside when she heard music just about blare behind her. Her face scrunched up slightly at the sheer volume of the party. She never remembered it being that loud. Who in the hell was in control of the volume? Maybe it was her subconscious telling her to just go inside or was it telling her to go to the party?

"It's a new dawn, it's a new day, it's a new life. For me. And I'm feeling good."

Andy's heart skipped a beat when she heard Daniel's—Keith's voice. What in the hell was he doing? She slowly spun around on her heels, glancing over her shoulder in the direction of the music. "Keith?"

He did some showy moves, flipping the microphone and kicking in beat with the song. "Oh freedom is mine, and I know how I feel." Andy's brows furrowed in confusion. Maybe it was everything that's been going on but nothing was sinking in. Was this some cruel prank that Keith thought would be funny? Was this Daniel? Had she officially lost her mind and was hallucinating?

"Andy, if you don't go to the party, who's gonna control your brother?" Daniel then extended his arms toward her expectantly.

"Daniel?!" her voice cracked. Andy ran toward him, jumping over the steps down from her porch. She practically leaped into his arms, nearly knocking him over when she collided into him. She held him so tight, that he'd probably complain about not being able to breathe but she didn't care.

"Hi, sis," he said quietly as he held her.

"How are you here? You died!" Tears fell from her eyes, ruining her makeup... again. But she couldn't care less. Gods did she miss him. "I can't believe you're here. I've missed you so much," she whispered.

"Now come on, things to do, people to see. 50 dollars says I can get 90% of camp's population to dance."

Daniel tried to pull her away and hold her at an arm's length. But Andy quickly wrapped her arms back around him, shaking her head. "Just one more minute, please?" She practically begged. Andy had no idea how time passed for him or what it was like. But for her, it was an eternity. Over a year without her brother. He could spare another moment or two before they went to the party. Gods knew she needed it.

Andy sighed as she finally let him free from her grasp, almost scared that if she let go of him, he'd vanish. Like it all was an illusion in her head. "Did you need to complete that outfit with a big long fluffy coat?"

She managed to actually laugh as she ran her fingers under her eyes, trying her best to fix her makeup. "It's not like I'm wearing a sequin jumpsuit," she quipped in response. Gods how long had it been since she had a normal lighthearted conversation? It felt nice. As Andy and Daniel walked side by side to the party, it almost felt like some of the weight had been lifted from her shoulders. For a brief moment she could breathe. But unfortunately, that didn't last long.

Andy's paced slowed when they reached the party as her brother quickly made his way toward Mason. On any other day she would have been right beside him but they still weren't talking. And if she smelled Eve's perfume on him it'd make her nauseous. She stood there awkwardly at the edge of the tree line scanning the people who had arrived. But before she saw anyone of worth a red head popped up right in front of her with a smile. She remembered the girl from earlier, gossiping about Andy's personal life like it was some trash TV. Suffice it to say, she did not return the smile.

"Hey. My name is Penelope, but you can call me Nelly." Andy didn't care. Maybe under different circumstances she would have been her old bubbly self. But not now. It was hard enough for Andy to bite her tongue the first time. "Um . . I am sorry if what I said earlier this morning hurt your feelings. I am known to say what I am thinking and it's gotten me into plenty of trouble. Just know that whatever my actions are in the future, I would never intentionally hurt anyone. So yeah sorry."

"Just leave my personal life out of it," Andy said before she felt an arm drape across her shoulder. Some of her tension faded away when she saw it was Trinity, even managing a soft smile.

"Look who decided to show." Andy rolled her eyes playfully at the comment. Like Trinity would have let her stay locked up in her cabin. "Hey Nelly, I'm Trinity." She gave Nelly a firm handshake, which Andy could only imagine was far more aggressive than it looked. She had to resist the urge to laugh. Trin wasn't the subtle type, one of the many reasons they were friends.

Trinity turned her attention to Andy. "Did you want to get a drink, Ando?" She was doing what any good best friend would do, getting her out of an awkward encounter. In time she'd forget Nelly's comments, but it was still fresh and she was in no mood to fake friendly. Trin's head then leaned toward hers as she spoke lowly, "You good?"

Andy held her friend's gaze and gave such a minor shake of her head, anyone else might have missed it. But it didn't seem Trinity was good either. The arrival of Wes caused the blonde to instantly tense. "I know that look," Andy said quietly.

But before she was able to tug Trinity away toward the drinks table, or just far enough away from a private conversation, Nelly had more to say. "Hello, Trinity. Nice evening huh? I got in last night so that's why I am late. I am still learning the ropes here so if you have any recommendations, I'll gladly take them. Is this ya'll's first year here or have both of you been here before?"

Andy's arm wrapped around the middle of Trinity's back, her hand gently grasping her friend's side. "Sorry, not to be rude." Although she kind of did. "But we need a moment in private."

Without anything else to add to the present conversation, she led Trin away, slowly walking them toward the drinks. Which, coincidentally, was where Wes was. "Do you think maybe you're being a little hard on him?" Andy asked, nodding her head toward Wes who's back was toward them. "He never questions you about your male friends." She saw the look Trinity made when she saw him with Alex. She understood her jealously, it was natural. But Wes had better tastes than Alex. "I doubt he has a dishonest bone in his body. He's arguably one of the nicest guys at camp. He's crazy about you... And he makes you happy." With her final words, Andy slowed them both to a stop, turning to face Trinity.

"Don't be dumb like me and ruin a good thing." She gave Trin's arm a reassuring squeeze with a smile. "I'm going to go take a shot... or like five," Andy joked. "But you should go talk to him. 5 bucks says, he's already forgiven you." Not that Trinity was in the wrong, she was entitled to her own feelings. But if she tried to apologize, Wes was already over it. He was too infatuated with her to stay mad.

Andy retreated, walking backwards towards the refreshments. She motioned her thumb toward Wes's back and gave Trinity a wink. She then spun around and went to the far end of the drinks table, giving Wes and, in particular, Alex, a wide birth. Have a good time. Don't think about it and don't get too drunk. Easy. Then it seemed the second that all went through her head, it went out the window. Andy took two shots of whatever was out, then grabbed a bear. No more.

She started toward the bonfire and almost froze when she saw the back of Ajax. Andy took a deep breath, not wanting to divert her path. She felt like that would be obvious and someone would notice, someone like Mason. But he wasn't dumb and probably could tell without anything being said. Andy slowly approached and took a seat on a different log than the one he and Duke sat on that was a couple feet away. After taking a couple sips of her beer, she sparred a glance toward Ajax as he stood up to follow after his friend. When she caught his gaze, Andy gave him a slight wave of her fingers and a brief smile before he left. It was weird. They were so close but felt miles apart. Any other party she'd be right there beside him, maybe even sitting in his lap if he had his way. But, now they were like strangers.

Evelyn did not seem pleased about Sylas asking her for a favor. And here he thought she'd love the opportunity to have the upper hand, a moment to revel in the fact that he came to her for help. Regardless of how minor his ask was. After a moment she took the bottle. "I would but you didn't even say please." Her smug expression made Sylas chuckle. "In fact, you should be begging me for this small little favor of yours. Or at least make your case of why I should help you," she added as she hid the bottle behind her back.

Sylas took the bait stepping forward to close a little bit of the distance between them. "Please, Evelyn, would you satisfy the demon in me by charming that little bottle?" His brow raised while the rest of his face remained fairly serious. He leaned his head in so that his lips were near her ear as he spoke softly. "I'll make a fair trade for your services." Sylas pulled his head back just enough so he could hold her gaze. "I'll give you one question," he said as he held up his index finger. "Any question and I'll answer it, honestly. No lies, omissions or ambiguity."

After a moment or so, Evelyn withdrew the bottle from behind her back and held it out to him. "Our little secret."

"My lips are sealed," he grinned as he took the bottle from her delicate fingers.

"Don't get too excited. Really wanting somebody varies on intention." Sylas nodded his head and gave her a silent salute with the top of the bottle to his forehead. "I look forward to seeing who you're after. Good luck."

Sylas might have added a comment about how he didn't need luck, or something else around those lines. Instead he gave her a wink and headed toward the bonfire where he planned to announce his fun activity. But then he saw the big idiot arrive with none other than his sister, which temporarily diverted his attention.

The fresh air from their walk to the beach cleared Sloane's head. Being lightheaded and dizzy was not an ideal condition while drinking. Not that she was the drinking type. She stopped just outside the tree line, taking everything in. Nothing too crazy was going on yet, some dancing and drinking, but fairly calm. Maybe she'd be lucky enough to wonder about for an hour then disappear back to Liam's cabin, away from everyone. She was about to take a step forward in the general direction of the bonfire when she caught sight of her brother beelining straight for them. "He's coming this way," Sloane said under her breath toward Liam, but didn't divert her eyes from her brother's fiery and direct gaze.

Before Sloane could even try to grab Liam's arm and divert them in a different direction, Sylas was there. "Sloane. Liam." He gave his best fake smile as he grabbed Liam's shoulder. "How's the new roomie situation going?" he asked with a grin and a tight squeeze of the brute's deltoid. While they were still in physical contact, Sylas let his powers flow into Liam. Kick her out. You don't want Sloane. She's a burden. Pathetic. After a moment when nothing happened, he moved his hand from Liam to point at his sister. "You used your powers on him... didn't you?"

Sloane shifted where she stood, her fingers twiddling and tugging at the sleeves of her shirt. She didn't say anything, just sideways glanced up at Liam before looking back to her brother. Sylas shook his finger as he laughed smugly. "She's a smart one isn't she?... Makes me wonder what she sees in a big idiot like you?"

Sloane quickly spun on her heels, moving between the two. She turned her back to Sylas as she pressed her hands to Liam's abdomen, trying to stop him from lashing out. "Don't. He's just trying to get under your skin. If you to hit him first, you'll look like the bad guy," She said quietly as she looked up at him. Sloane wouldn't be able to stop Liam if he was set on murdering Sylas in front of everyone. But she hoped he'd listen to her rather than her brother.

"Yes, tame your beast. It's only a matter of time before your control over him fades. And then what, dear sister?"

"I don't control him," Sloane replied coldly, before looking over her shoulder toward her brother. "I'm not you."

"How adorable. You asked his permission didn't you?" Sylas shook his head, laughing softly as he tossed the bottle in his hand. "She's obviously taking advantage of you big boy. You fought her battles, give up your home... even let her worm her way into your mind willingly. Is she that good in bed?"

Sloane's jaw clenched as her gaze moved to the ground and her hands fell from Liam's chest. Her cheeks began to flush, getting so red it nearly outshined her lipstick. "Who are we kidding? Sloane here is a prude." Sylas raised his hand to stroke his sister's cheek with his index finger. "I doubt she's ever been kissed." He chuckles before wrapping his arm around Sloane's shoulders. "Let's change that, shall we?"

Her eyes went wide as Sylas tugged her away from Liam. Although his face was friendly and he appeared to be walking with her amiably, his grip on her arm was strong, almost challenging her to struggle against him. She was barely able to keep up with his long strides, frequently glancing over her shoulder toward Liam. She didn't want him to start a fight, not here in front of everyone. That'd give her brother what he wanted. He was going to continue to push Liam and herself until one of them caved.

Sylas came to a halt near the bonfire, but didn't release his hold on Sloane, instead leading them both to step up on a log. He raised his free hand to his lips letting out a loud whistle. Once he had everyone's attention, he gave a charming smile before speaking. "I don't know about all of you, but my sister and I think that what this party really needs... Is a game!" He holds up the bottle, wiggling it slightly.

He jumps down from the log, leaving Sloane to slowly step down on her own while he walks around the fire. "I'm sure you've all heard of 7 minutes in heaven." Sylas smirked. "I was content with a simple game of spin the bottle, but Sloane's itching for something a little more exciting." He slowed his pace until he was standing before Andy. "Andy, would you mind conjuring up something a little more... private?"

Andy slowly sat up right, tapping her fingers against her beer. She didn't want to be a part of this game, but Sylas didn't look like he was going to let anyone get away with sitting out. She sighed, before extending her left hand with her palm up. As her hand raised, a closet rose up from the ground on a farther edge of the beach, a hundred or so feet away.

Sylas smiled as he turned back around to face the rest of the campers. "I'm sure you all are familiar with the rules." He tapped the brim of the bottle to his bottom lip as he scanned everyone. "Now who should go first?" At one point he slowed down before Sloane. "It'd be unfair to give it to you first. After all, this was your idea... You'll just have to wait your turn." He grinned looking between her and Liam.

But then he spun around and walked directly up to a particular blonde, that he was very interested to learn more about. Eve. Sylas flipped the bottle in his hand, before holding it out to her. "The honor is yours."

Sloane crossed her arms over her chest. She hated when he did stuff like this, spun things around on her. He made it seem like this was her master plan, so if she left... Well, she couldn't. With a sigh, she took a seat on a log as far from her brother as possible. This was going to be a long night.

"You've never allowed one arm to get you down, though, which is pretty damn awesome if you ask me."

Wes chuckled softly. "Well, thank you. I couldn't very well bitch about something that was my own fault, now could I?"

Alex hooked her arm in his as they headed through the woods toward the party. She seemed happy at the little decorations of lights leading to the beach and the prospect of a party. It did always seem to lighten moods for most of the campers. Wes just hoped that it might be an opportunity for him and Trinity to... move forward maybe. If that was still an option. He hated it that she was mad at him for something he didn't do. Or maybe he did and he was just too much of an idiot to realize it. Wes just hoped, whatever it was, he could fix it.

"Let's make this a night to remember."

He smiled toward her, then quickly ducked away when she tried to tickle him. "Woah, none of that." He laughed, holding his index finger up in contradiction.

Wes slowly trailed after Alex toward the concession table, where there was an ample amount of food and a variety of drinks available. He hadn't quite realized how completely famished he was until he smelled the food. He wasted no time fixing up a burger and snagging a beer to drink along with it. He barely ate all day with his stomach in constant knots. Now with food in front of him, he had to fight to urge to shove it down in a single bite.

"If there's any dancing... you going to ask Trinity?"

He froze with the burger held to his lips. "I want to... I just... I don't know if she'd agree."

Wes took a large bite out of his food as he turned around to observe the party. He froze, mouth full, when he saw Trinity standing a few feet in front of him. He stood there... awkwardly as he tried to quickly chew and swallow the the food. "Trinity... You look gorgeous." Wes looked awkwardly between his burger, beer and then Trinity. He quickly set what he held onto the table and dusted his hands off on his pants. "Can I get you a drink?"

Shortly after he asked, Sylas made a loud show beckoning everyone to join in on a game. Wes didn't know how he felt about partaking. He didn't need another reason for her to be mad at him. He slowly took a step toward Trinity, motioning toward the bonfire. "Did you want to join? I wouldn't kiss anyone... just stand there awkwardly for 7 minutes." He quickly continued adding another comment. "I mean, you can kiss whoever you want though... Or we could just walk around. Or I could leave you alone. I just want you to enjoy yourself... to be happy."

Gods was he putting his foot in his mouth. Wes awkwardly chewed on his bottom lip. He didn't know how to fill the silence, so instead he grabbed another beer. He popped it open, then held it out toward her, almost like a silent peace offering. He was content to wait until she decided his fate for the evening.

7 minutes in heaven

1. The person who receives the bottle, spins it and it will land on whomever they want. Doesn't have to be for romantic reasons, just whomever they desire.

2. They are locked in the closet for 7 minutes.

3. Afterwards the person who the bottle landed on (not who spun it) picks who goes next.

disclaimer: I suggest writing a collab between the two characters going into the closet, so that it isn't a bunch of back and forth posts and so it doesn't take forever for one round. It could be easy enough to include the spinning of the bottle, time in the closet and choosing the next person in a single collab.

Any questions, let me know :)

Liv did not bother to make much in the way of conversation with Eve. If Pete wasn’t going to play the game, and the little blonde minx wasn’t implanting suggestions, then there was no reason to stir the pot. She just offered her a thin sarcastic smile and looked over her outfit. The daughter of Poseidon really overdressed for this occasion. Though, she supposed it was just the girl’s attention seeking style. Not that it was wrong. It was cute attire and very much in the spirit of a bonfire at the beach.

“Yeah, if we don’t hurry up we’ll miss all the good songs,” Pete had said, and Liv didn’t reply because she felt he was more or less trying to urge them on before Eve embarrassed him more. Though, when he turned to smirk at her, she couldn’t help but cast her eyes to the ground and suppress what could have been a chuckle.

As they arrived at the party, she noted that he was all too eager to get his sister away from him. Pete taunted Eve with the thought that Mason was getting along with another woman. One that was not her. “Looks like lover boy found someone new.” After that, the vixen took off to bother other people, and thankfully so. Liv was tired of it already, and women like Eve were not her type of friend or acquaintance. She wasn't about to talk bad about his sister to his face, as that was a job for him alone. So, she let the topic of Eve flutter away like the woman herself.

“Drink?” He inquired, already headed for the booze just seconds after relief from his sister. She couldn't blame him and was partly glad that she didn't have a brother here. It meant that she could keep to herself and only venture out when necessary - training or, in this case, mandatory fun nights. If she had holed herself up in her cabin, someone would have probably come and dragged her out. There was nothing fun about mandatory fun nights, but maybe she'd catch a break from the nuances of trying to socialize with the camp's typically drama-mongers with Pete. "Don't mind if I do," she replied finally whilst snatching not one, but two from the cooler.

She strolled with Pete for a bit until they could find a spot that wasn't occupied by anyone, and she plopped her rear-end on the sand. She didn't care if he was opposed to it and sat on one of the logs, but she rather enjoyed the sand. Understandably, a lot of people did not. Liv had watched his gaze fall onto Alex, and her attention flitted from one demigod to the other. "I guess I should have dressed down for this party," she noted, mostly to herself, but he'd be able to hear it without a problem.

Her head cocked to the side, and she glanced back and over at him when he offered an apology without any actual context, “Sorry.” She assumed as she does often, that it had to do with Eve and the fact that she was a loquacious little thing that had spoken a little too much for both their comfort. Luckily for him, Liv was relatively easy-going in good company, and Pete is just about the sanest person around.

She offered him a small shrug, taking a long sip from her beer. "It's fine. I'm used to it by now. I think I am learning that the less I respond, the more people leave me alone. The more I can train, and the less they do while they are all wrapped up in their ridiculous bullshit." A sigh fell from her lips and she found herself looking over at the darkened beach and the moonlight that scattered over the catspaws of calm waters. "Have you ever been to the beach this late at night and actually get in the water? Not just drink and do dumb things like-" The announcement from Sylas came about, and she jerked a thumb toward him to wordlessly complete her sentence. "The gods are probably looking down at us trying to figure out why we would stuff two people in a closet when there are perfectly good cabins to make out in." She laughed at that.

She looked back at him to see if she could get a little something out, "Which gal would you go into a closet with?" She gestured to the various women with her beer hand while leaning back and bracing her torso against an arm.

"He's coming this way," she warned. The son of Ares knew that his night was not going to be easy. So, when Sylas caught his prey in those predatorial eyes, he wasn't surprised at all. Part of him understood that he'd be roped into playing these games, into being made to look like an Ares kid hellbent on beating up kids in floral blouses. Not that a kid wearing that shirt was undeserving of a beat down.

For a second there, the arm closest to Sloane instinctively reached out, as if it would have wrapped around her so that they could withdraw from this situation. It just so happened that it was at the same time she thought about grabbing it herself. But the snake had rapidly slithered over, and he didn't want the other campers to take note of the fact that she needed protecting.

"Sloane. Liam," the serpent practically hissed as he grabbed Liam's shoulder. At that second, the beastly man's jaw set noticeably - he could snap at any time now. All of the muscles in his head were tense; they even pulsed to the clenching of his teeth. It was his infamous tell that all the blood in his veins was beginning to run hot. His fingers curled into white-knuckled fists. He was gearing up for tearing Sloane's brother apart in front of everyone.

"How's the new roomie situation going?" He continued to taunt him like the obvious idiot he was. Yet beneath those words were something else, something that made the hair at the back of his neck bristle. It was unsettling. He rubbed that spot for a second, having long since forgotten that Sloane told him to tell her when he felt this. Right now, he wasn't remembering much of anything save for how much he is really wishing he would have killed this guy.

Sylas' attention withdrew from Liam and fixated upon his own sister, "You used your powers on him... didn't you? She's a smart one isn't she?... Makes me wonder what she sees in a big idiot like you?" Liam hadn't spoken at all. There was no reply - no retort, only a deathly stare pinned to Sylas. He was watching. Waiting. Any second now, and he'd have the perfect excuse to knock his head off of his little ass neck, and he didn't care if anyone saw it.

Just when he thought he was going to do it, Sloane stepped in between him. Her fingers pressed against his stomach, which was tense like every other muscle in his body. It was like he was all coiled up and poised to strike. "Don't. He's just trying to get under your skin. If you hit him first, you'll look like the bad guy."

He wanted to tell her that he was a bad guy. Liam was good in Sloane's eyes because that's the only part of him she had witnessed thus far. He peered down at her as she looked up at him, and there was not a kind expression on his face. Something about his posture, the glare of red in his eyes, and his silence was all in warning. Sloane had stepped between the son of Ares, of whom was approaching the apex of his patience for the guy just right behind her. All he needed to do was go through her, and if it weren't for the simple fact that he was in control of himself, he would. Had it been any other woman, he would have pushed her aside without a second thought. She tethered him to his own self-control, and he didn't even know it was actually happening. Without him even realizing it, he was gripping her fingers in his. Palms that tightened and tightened without any sign of letting up. However, when she likely began to feel discomfort, he released her slowly.

He seethed as the sibling pair continued to bicker, "I don't control him. I'm not you."

Still, Sylas continued on his way, knowing full well that the only thing that would hold Liam back, for today was Sloane. Deep down, he knew that was because they were in view of an audience, and he wasn't going to embarrass her. "How adorable. You asked his permission didn't you? She's obviously taking advantage of you big boy. You fought her battles, give up your home... even let her worm her way into your mind willingly. Is she that good in bed?"

Liam then drew from the well of all his comebacks, knowing full well what Sylas was looking for. With all the rumors that would circulate from her staying in his cabin, he really wasn't saying something that others weren't thinking. It would probably shut Sylas up. Liam looked him deadpan, visibly relaxed himself, and smirked, "She's great in bed, actually. It must be really hard to watch your sister get laid while you're still trying to woo that sweet little redhead over there. Look, she's with another guy. You really must have a small dick, dick." he even goes as far as looking over at Evelyn. "I wonder if you’ll have to beat her up to get her to sleep with you, since you’re such a fucking coward.”

Whatever Sylas said next went in one ear and out the other. He didn't care. Soon enough, they were headed toward the bonfire. The fact that he latched onto his sister and led her out ahead of him wasn't a real concern. The little fucking coward won't do shit, but it still irked the fuck out of him.

Neither Sloane nor Liam were going to play this game in front of everyone right now. As much as it bothered him to sit back and let Sylas command them, there was no other option. Sure, Liam was strong, but that didn't mean that other Demigods couldn't beat him. Given Sylas' tenacity for persuasion, he didn't want to risk it.

Sylas thought he was a dumb idiot, but Liam is a strategic man and this is slowly starting to become a battlefield. After the Trial, and with all of the drama coming - with Hades carted away - the hammer was going to fall eventually. When it does, he didn’t want himself and Sloane to be caught on the wrong side of things. He didn’t need the campers thinking that he was the bad guy in this story.

Everyone began to sit, and Liam did, too. Only it was not next to Sloane, it was across and slightly to the right of her. She knew he was close, and he knew that Sylas was a smart man, too.

Daughter of Zeus || Hex: #d63b71 || Outfit for Party

While Wes turned his attentions to Trinity, Alex turned hers to Pete. With a soft brush of her hand through the right side of her hair, her eyes remained locked on him as she watched him.

Image She smirked when she heard him apologize to Liv. Before Alex could make her way over to him, though, Mason had managed to bump into her while dancing with Iliana. It wasn't a gentle bump either... it was hard. Rather than give her a look or words that said how badly he wanted her to drop dead, he remained stone-faced. "Open your eyes much?" He looked her over.

She felt like throwing her drink in his face, to be honest, but what good would it have done? other than prove him right about what he thought of her. In fact, she didn't give a damn what Mason or the others thought. Those who judge others without knowing them properly are what society calls fools. Oh, shut it. she wanted to say. He had a right to be pissed about his sister's death, though, even if he still blindly blamed the wrong person. Every damn opportunity he got he wanted to make sure that her time at Camp Athens for the second time around wasn't easy. He wasn't ever going to let it all rest unless his precious father ordered him to like some well-behaved dog. She looked down and twisted her jaw, trying her best not to retaliate.

As he left, she looked up and glared at him before she grabbed a drink and quickly shook off the sour mood before she approached both Liv and Pete.

"Hey" she said to Liv, and gave the girl a brief genuine smile before she turned to Pete. "I really need to ask you something in private... some advice." She hoped that Liv wouldn't mind having him stolen from her for a little bit as she leads the way toward the campfire where she took a seat. "In truth... I just wanted to get you by yourself." she confessed. "I'm really glad you came tonight." she told him and moved a little closer to him. Her eyes moved to his lips. She smiled, then leaned up and against his lips, pressing her mouth firmly to his own as she closed her eyes.

No one was more surprised then Ethan when Cherise and Rae pulled him in for a dance. For one thing, I never learned to dance. His teen years hadn't been spent around others his age. Well, he had gone to a few of Heath's families' 'get togethers' where his aunts tried to teach him a few moves. But sadly he had two left feet in that sense. However, Ethan did try his best to keep up with both girls. He looked for some assistance though, particularly from Heath. He caught sight of him with Keith still.

"Hey! Heath! I could use a hand here!"

Heath had been waiting for Keith's explanation when he heard his friend. He couldn't help but chuckle at the sight. However, he was smart enough to know that to get involved would be trouble.

"Sorry Ethan. Man up okay? You'll manage."

Ethan groaned and turned back to the ladies.

"Sorry if I am not good at this. Ya'll are great though. Try not to tire me out too much okay?"

Heath in the mean time turned back to Keith, who's real name was Daniel it seemed. It look like the explanation was too complicated for him tell him. He raised his eyebrows though at some of the things he said though. This Daniel was vastly different then Keith. However all thoughts exited his mind when Eve showed up. He pretty much ignored her. That was his mistake though when the girl touched him. He also had been looking back at Mason and Iliana and the sudden urge to separate them nearly overwhelmed him. He looked away though. His stubborn nature kicked in and he refuse to listen to his brotherly instincts. He saw Daniel greet Eve before leaving. Not wanting to be alone with Eve, he walked off and ended up near the food and watched Ajax and Duke make burgers. It was very impressive.

It wasn't long when the dancing stopped though. Iliana had been watching Ethan with Cherise and the new redhead herself. She was extremely concern for him for she could tell he was overwhelmed. She had also seen Eve around her brother and the urge to go over there and get between them was strong. A frown appeared on her face and her amber eyes flared up. Her thoughts were interrupted when Mason addressed her.

"Not so bad is it?" he asked.

Looking back at him she shook her head. He was a good dancer, but it was hard to enjoy the dance when so many thoughts filtered through her head. Luckily the dance ended and Mason soon left her side. It was at that moment that Sylas announced a game to play. She never heard of that before. Did Sylas's sister really come up with the idea? She didn't look too thrilled. Iliana was so focused on the two that she almost missed the interaction with Mason and Alex. That was the one thing she had been trying to prevent. While they were too far away for her to hear what they said, Iliana moved closer and caught Alex's annoyance. However the demigoddess soon left and approached Pete and another girl. Iliana looked around and saw Trinity and Wes. She decided to stay out of that. She then remembered Heath still had her tablet. She found him near Ajax and Duke. Heath smiled when he saw his sister.

"Did you enjoy yourself?"

Relief was evident in his voice. Iliana shook her hand a bit, which meant 'okay'. She then grabbed her tablet from him before asking if he was okay and she saw Eve with him.

"I doing better now. Did Sylas make some sort of announcement?"

~Yes, he said his sister Sloane wanted to play 7 Minutes in Heaven. I don't think it was her idea though. She didn't look too thrilled. I don't know what this game is, but it involves a bottle and a closet. Andy conjured one up it seems. Eve got the bottle.~

Heath groaned. He knew what the game was. Never played it. He immediately thought of Ethan though. The guy was not a fan of tight spaces.

"Concept of the game is simple. Eve will spin the bottle and whoever it lands on, the two of them will spend 7 minutes doing anything inside of a closet. After that, the person whom the bottle land on will pick the next person to spin the bottle."

What was Sylas trying to accomplish here? Trouble of some kind it seemed. And picking Eve seemed to only confirm it. Iliana was concerned too, only for Alex though. If Mason got picked, there was a chance he could end up with Alex. What would he do then? He would dare hurt in front of the other campers right? Heath saw concern on his sisters features.

"What is wrong Lia?"

~I am afraid for Alex. I don't think she's safe here, not from Mason at least.~

Heath nodded and whispered, "I think so too, but Mason isn't dumb. He wouldn't try something now with all the campers around."

Iliana nodded and walked off. Heath sighed and decided to check on Ethan.

Ethan was relieved when the dance ended and Sylas made the announcement. He quickly left Cherise and Rae though. He knew about the game but was not interested in playing it at all. He decided to move a ways from the others and closer to the beach. He sat on a bench and this was where Heath found him.

"Not interested in going to Heaven huh?"

"Definitely not. Where is Iliana?"

"Doing her own thing. She's got a lot on her mind."

Ethan nodded and the two sat in silence.

Iliana decided to play the game. She wanted to warn Alex, but saw that the young lady kissing Pete. She ended up sitting alone watching others.

Nelly was by herself too. The words of Andy and Trinity was still ringing in her ears. She figured the best course of action now was to watch and observe and do her best to keep her thoughts to herself. She definitely wanted to play 7 Minutes in Heaven. She did have to google an explanation of it on her cell phone though. She was curious to see who Eve would pick. She had no idea who she would pick though if she got a turn.

"I guess I should have dressed down for this party," Liv mumbled, and Pete’s attention snapped back to her. He settled himself on the sand next to her but with a lot less naturalness. He didn’t really understand the appeal of beaches, he was sure his jeans would have sand stuck in their seams for years to come.

“You dressed up?” He looked out towards the ocean trying to imagine it and failed. Girl’s like his sister and Alex who were all dolled up were looking for attention, he couldn’t imagine Liv doing the same. Which was why he was suffering sand for her. “I mean I guess you could’ve worn your nice pair of jeans?”

"It's fine. I'm used to it by now. I think I am learning that the less I respond, the more people leave me alone. The more I can train, and the less they do while they are all wrapped up in their ridiculous bullshit." Pete laughed. Certainly, from the outside it did all seem a bit ridiculous. The way his sister devoted her whole life to pushing people’s buttons, he could hardly believe he’d once been the same.

He gazed over at Liv where she was lounging comfortable against the sand, as opposed to him who hadn’t dared move from his upright posture. “Oh, I get it now. You want to win.” Trying to figure out was a nasty habit of Pete’s, and as he squinted across at Liv he was in the midst of putting it all together. “Or it’s more about being the best.”

"Have you ever been to the beach this late at night and actually get in the water? Not just drink and do dumb things like-" Sylas’ announcement about 7 minutes, reached them right on cue, as if she’d been able to see it coming. Perfectly illustrating her point about the ridiculousness of their peers. "The gods are probably looking down at us trying to figure out why we would stuff two people in a closet when there are perfectly good cabins to make out in."

He laughed. “And in my experience 7 minutes isn’t enough time to do any of the fun stuff.” He gazed out at the ocean considering her point, and half hoping her follow up comment wasn’t about actually swimming. Pete was a city kid, so he’d actually only been to the beach three times in his life, and all three times he’d been drunk and the beach had been shit. London wasn’t known for tropical weather and pristine beaches. It would’ve been easy to explain that to Liv, but the thing is, that felt a lot like sharing about himself. And he didn’t do that. So instead he shrugged, keeping to his honesty policy. “I’ve never swam at a beach.” He glanced over at her with a smirk, as a daughter of Poseidon he was sure that would rankle her. “Go ahead. Add me to the list of murder candidates.”

He glanced over to the game getting underway to see Eve jumping in the closet with Mason, of course. She always did get what she wanted. Liv’s question brought his attention back, "Which gal would you go into a closet with?" Now that was a leading question. He raised his eyebrows and made a thinking noise drawing it out, clearly she was trying to get something out of him.

Luckily he was saved from answering by an approaching brunette. He grinned and leaned towards Liv, making sure he was loud enough to be heard by Alex. “Well, certainly not this one, she’s all trouble.” It was a joke, but also the truth. His gut instinct was that Alex was going to be far more trouble than she was worth, but that didn’t stop him grabbing his beer in one hand and rising to his feet. He glanced down at Liv, “Sorry, but I suspect this one’s here for me.”

Alex greeted Liv before turning to him. "I really need to ask you something in private... some advice." Well, that was an intriguing request, causing him to quirk an eyebrow. However he’d been expecting to lead or be led away and was already moving away from Liv.

He took a swig from his beer and motioned with the bottle for her to lead the way. He turned back to Liv for a quick moment giving her a half nod. “Next time then.” He trailed along behind Alex, taking a seat beside her on the log, stretching out his legs. He gazed over Alex, taking in what little her outfit covered, she looked good all dressed up. “If you’re looking for honest outfit advice, yes, I do think that outfit is trying a little too hard. But I’m personally all for it.”

She didn’t seem impressed by the comment as she ignored him. "In truth... I just wanted to get you by yourself. I'm really glad you came tonight."

Pete raised an eyebrow at that confession as he caught Duke’s eye from across the campfire, he didn’t think the Valis protector would be impressed with this. Unable to help himself, with a smirk he leaned in Alex, curving around her to whisper in her ear, “I’m afraid you might be the only one who thinks that.”

Of course, Alex wouldn’t be led around like a toy doll, instead she surprised him by leaning in and pressing her lips to his. Of course, it didn’t take long for him to warm up to the kiss. His hand holding his beer came up to rest against her waist, the other one ran over her neck to twist through her hair. She tasted like girly shit.

Like all good things, eventually the kiss ended, and Pete leaned back on the log with a half-smile. Guess they now knew they had good chemistry. “Well, let’s do that again sometime.” He finished his beer and rose to his feet. On his way to the bin he just so happened to pass by Duke, such a coincidence. He paused to tap his empty bottle to the other boy’s shoulder. “Fuck, I forgot. I was supposed to ask for a date first wasn’t I?” He laughed as he walked away, “Maybe I’ll get it right next time.”

With a fresh bottle of beer in on hand and a lit cigarette in the other, Pete headed towards the beach where he’d seen Liv disappear. Of course, he hadn’t missed her rumble in the closet with Sylas, of all people. “I thought you held all that shit in disdain?” He waved his beer towards the conjured closet. It annoyed him to see someone he thought as intelligent getting themselves involved with Sylas, but for Pete, it was a far worse crime to be a hypocrite.

Liv had made it to a lonely section of the beach and buried most of the beer bottles half way into the cooling cradle of sand. Her eyes ventured out to the darkened horizon, then she looked back for a fleeting moment to observe a bonfire that has grown quieter from over here. Then it was back to staring at the water - pensively watching the catspaws ripple beneath the touch of the moon. She bent down to pull off her shoes and socks, and then her jacket was soon to follow. It was never too late for a night time dip in the ocean when no one was really looking.

She had peeled away the frumpy layers of her t-shirt and jeans, as neither of them fit her right anyway. The stupid bitch, Alex, stole away the only person in this whole party that would publically tolerate her. Now that she was so far away from Sylas, it was like coming down from a high. She knew that the monster was there, but she was beginning to second guess if it was worth it. Regardless, she had tugged the clothing off of her form to divulge a one-piece bathing suit that was dark enough for Liv to go relatively unnoticed. If it weren't for the fact that she was pale, she'd have melted into the darkness.

She walked forward after leaving a trail of her clothing behind her, to step into the low tide of the water as it flowed into the beach and then ebbed back out into the ocean again. It was a long while that she stood out there, just looking out and peering - probably searching for something. Maybe it was for her father, of whom never seemed to be there for her when she needed him. Her hand lifted and fingers trailed over her neck, swiftly maneuvering her darkened hair enough to cover up the evidence of Sylas' mouth having been all over it only minutes ago.

She just stared, and stared, and stared, yet nothing came of it. No answers, no father - not even a fucking cute ass dolphin or anything. Nothing but a voice that finally brushed through her contemplative quiet, “I thought you held all that shit in disdain?”

She swiveled her gaze to greet him with a small smirk inching over her otherwise thoughtful features, "Is that a bit of jealousy that I am hearing? Would you be more amused if it were you?" But she didn't eally expect much of an answer. "Besides, that bottle could have landed on anyone, and I might as well as get it over before I got it and it pointed at someone totally insufferable. I couldn't imagine being stuck in a closet with, let's say... Alex." She even made kissy faces at him. Was she testing his boundaries, or was she just being coy? It was likely a little bit of both. He could probably smell the fact that she was hiding something. While Sylas was far away, their little closet interaction ignited something in her - that small ember that just needed the right person to stoke it. Certainly the Poseidon girl had her daddy's taste for vengeance and jealousy. Together, they were not good traits.

She gave him her brightest but quickest smile, and then turned to face him. She walked back slowly into the waters, having remembered that he said something about never having swam at a beach.

Well, she can't have that nonsense.

There was a tease in her eyes, but it wasn't that hot sexual energy that one might presume. In fact, Sylas had her pegged - she didn't feel pretty or hot enough to exude it. Instead, it was almost like holding a treat out for a dog, or some other bad metaphor like that, to get it to do something new or maybe even a trick. Further back now, the sea's cool waters embraced her up to her waist, and she held her palms over its surface out at either side of her. "I can tell you a secret, but... you have to want it." It could have been something. It could have been nothing. He probably wouldn't even take the bait, or maybe he was so into Alex that the thought of having a night time dip at the beach with the Camp's pariah child would be damning for their relationship. Whatever it was. "I do solemnly swear that I won't drown you, use my powers, or kiss you. If you're worried about any of that for any reason."

She stopped where she was and waited, head sort of tilted and eyebrows raised slightly. "I mean, unless you're just scared... then...." she shrugged and feigned a dramatically disappointed sigh.

Son of Zeus || Hex: Green Outfit for Party

He was about to head back to the party to find Alex. Luckily, she wasn't that far away with her lips locked with someone else. He clenched his jaw and began to take a couple of steps toward them, but someone had managed to stop him in his tracks. Pete had ended up wandering off towards some other chick, leaving a happy looking Alex by herself. "Hello, my name is Penelope, but you can call me Nelly. I just got in last night and am still trying to meet everyone at camp." She didn't have to introduce herself to everyone in one day, but if it made her happy, then why not? there were no camp rules stating otherwise and the staff really didn't give a damn.

"Ajax.." he told her, and held his hand out for her to shake. He sucked with conversations half the time, but he was at least inclined to try his best for the girl. He didn't want to give her a bad impression of himself on her first day, especially not while Mason twisted his little charms around everyone to make sure they hated everything that stood for Zeus and his offsprings. "Can I offer you some advice, Nelly? - pick your friends carefully, okay? and trust no one. Especially those who just prefer to spend their time playing stupid games." he didn't name names because it wasn't hard to figure out who they were. "If you'll excuse me, I just have to talk to my sister. Come find me later if you want? I'll... probably be lurking around somewhere." he half laughed before he touched her shoulder gently, and made his way to Alex. He didn't have control over who she spent her time with, but the fact that she had chosen one of Hera's kids.. and for what reason? Alex didn't play games. She knew better.

Image He took a hold of her by the elbow, pulling her off to the side. "What you doing?" he asked lowly with a frown on his face, she went to answer him, but she ended up looking past him. Ajax glanced over his shoulder to see what grabbed her attention.

Some girl was with Duke. It was unclear what she was saying to him as she touched him. "Listen..." he gently tugged on her arm, grabbing his sister's attention, then let her go. "Dad wants us to go to Mount Olympus for a little while.. he can explain everything to you himself when we get there so I don't have to repeat everything." he smiled. "Do you want to go? Duke can come too... if he wants. But, I have a feeling he'll want to stay here. Anyway, we leave tomorrow, so we'll have to pack up tonight at some point." he didn't blame him if he did stay behind because it wasn't like it would be a vacation there.

Daughter of Zeus || Hex: #d63b71 || Outfit for Party

Image So they could finally get out of this place... thank the gods. Alex definitely wanted to go, especially if it meant spending time with her dad. Even if it meant leaving Wes and Duke behind for a little while, she still wanted to go. "Okay, and Yes, I'll go. Of course, I want to go. I've wanted to spend time with dad for so long.. it'll be good for us. I'll... I'll ask Duke now." without another word to her brother, Alex headed straight towards Duke. It was the perfect reason to be there without showing the jealousy she felt stirring the moment that redhead touched his arm. Who did the women think they were in this place? Gods gift to men? same for the men too half the time. She definitely couldn't wait to get out of this place.

"Duke!" she called out to him in excitement. "I really need to talk to you for a moment... it's urgent." she totally ignored Rae being there. "Dad wants me and Aj to go home with him. I'm not sure what for entirely, but part of it is to spend time with us. Do you want to come? you can.. if you want to that is?"

Image Duke had learned a lesson, that it could be interpreted as offensive to ask a child of Zeus if they wanted to play 7 minutes in heaven. Because while Duke had accepted his answer and still thought they were walking in sync, Ajax had spun off and headed somewhere else. The temporary confusion of his brother missing lead him to see an awful sight. Alex talking to Pete, but it wasn't just a talk it was the smile, the eyes nearly batting, the proximity and Pete knew it too when their eyes met. Then they kissed and Duke glared in their direction before rolling his eyes and shaking his head to himself. How else did he think it was going to end? Alex was back, flirty and daring as ever. Duke could feel the field trip Pete would have with it too.

A bottle tapped on his shoulder far too soon. “Fuck, I forgot. I was supposed to ask for a date first wasn’t I?” Duke glowered at Pete but couldn't say anything back because Alex had worked against him unintentionally, leaving no come back and no room except for defeat. Pete laughed knowing well he had the upper hand. “Maybe I’ll get it right next time.”

Duke shot a glare in Alex's direction. He wanted Alex to be herself again but he forgot some aspects of her personality were troublesome and he didn't much like being made the fool. Maybe they deserved each other afterall.

He had got a couple steps when somebody bumped into him. In his huff and puff he mustn't have been paying attention and he held the girl's arms to steady her, like she held his. He opened his mouth to offer an apology but the redhead beat him to it. "I'd say sorry, but that would imply that I did something wrong, which I haven't." Now he was at a total loss for words, not sure if she meant that in a rude way like he had jumped in her way and he should apologize or because it was a genuine accident. Or another way entirely that he couldn't grasp. She continued on without missing a beat. "Are there still burgers on the grill? My friend over there" Duke found himself following her gesture to a brunette and Iliana before looking back to his present company, "... looks like she could use some food. The girl can't really handle her beer if she doesn't eat. I want to drag someone to my cabin, but I don't want that person to be her."

And Duke was at a loss again. He was with her for the whole my friend needs to eat but the last part was anyone's guess. "Okay," he began slowly, and looked around hoping a translator might appear. "Burgers are on the grill, feel free to take as much as you want." She had a tiny girl squad to feed and he really didn't want them to be modest about what they ate or how much. "Umm...if your friend gets too intoxicated, somebody else can take her back?" he suggested next. Among the demigods there were some genuinely good ones.

Then it hit him. The girl's voice he was talking to matched a certain announcement he overheard telling everyone her own 7 minutes in heaven rules/standards. She wasn't as worried about her friend as much as she was worried about somebody keeping her bed warm. Duke smiled a little finally catching on. "You're very attractive. I'm sure you'll be able to drag someone to your cabin after the game." Somehow he doubted she needed assurance on that but Duke was always happy to lay out a fact or two. "Like anything if you will it and work hard for it, it will become a reality." Although with the booze and hormones in most demigods she likely didn't need to apply the hard work.

"Duke!" Alex called out. He turned his head in her direction but ultimately let her approach himself and Rae. "I really need to talk to you for a moment... it's urgent" Duke frowned. She had diluted the meaning of that word and he didn't move an inch. "Dad wants me and Aj to go home with him. I'm not sure what for entirely, but part of it is to spend time with us. Do you want to come? you can.. if you want to that is?"

People were really beyond hellos these days. "That's great news Alex." He gestured his head to his company. A look, a nod or anything would suffice right now because she wasn't invisible and there was no reason to treat her as such. "We were in the middle of our own urgent discussion." Their conversation was of zero importance but the point was Alex didn't know that and charged in, interrupted and thought she could pluck everyone away like she did Pete from Liv. "It sounds like a family get together and that I'd only intrude. I'll think about it though," he answered. Hephaestus and Duke might have been able to get their own bonding time or at least solid training and development.

Pete stood at the exact spot where the waves stopped, not daring to venture out any further to Liv, God forbid he get his boot or any other clothing wet. He already had enough to sand clinging to him to cross off ‘beach experience’ on his bucket list. Despite Liv who it seemed had come packed for a swim, having stripped off into a swimsuit, Pete had no intention of doing anything so outdoorsy.

"Is that a bit of jealousy that I am hearing? Would you be more amused if it were you?" He raised an eyebrow and took a drag out his cigarette, refusing to respond to such a comment designed to stir things up. A seven minute romp in a cupboard was hardly something to be jealous of, Liv was right about one thing, there were spacious cabins if you were that way inclines.

If Pete were a meddling type, he’d offer advice to stay away from Sylas, but he wasn’t. He believed strongly in leaving everyone to do whatever the fuck they want to, he’d watch someone walk head first into traffic without a second glance. It’s a clean way of living that he’s perfected.

"Besides, that bottle could have landed on anyone, and I might as well as get it over before I got it and it pointed at someone totally insufferable. I couldn't imagine being stuck in a closet with, let's say... Alex." He watched her pull kissy face with a tolerance he usually reserved for his sister. He wasn’t going to react, he had a feeling Liv was already trying to get a good read on him, and he knew from experience that getting people to react was the fastest way to figure them out. Besides he was too busy trying to figure Liv out, there was something off here, she seemed different, a bit more defensives.

He glanced back up the beach to where Alex chatted with Duke. “Neither can I, if I’m being truly honest.” There just seemed far too much of Alex to ever actually contain, in a cupboard or otherwise, and he wasn’t sure whether he should like that or not. He glanced back at Liv in her swimsuit, “But hey, Sylas got you to strip down.” He held up his beer bottle in mock salute.

As if remembering the beach and her original intentions, Liv started walking backwards into the waves. It was clear in her eyes she was teasing him. "I can tell you a secret, but... you have to want it." She was trying to lure him out, but having been on the front liens of Eve’s manipulations, he knew it lacked some finesse. Or perhaps confidence. Still he found himself locked where he stood looking out at her with curiosity in her vision. He was always far too consumed with secret chasing, a habit of his upbringing.

"I do solemnly swear that I won't drown you, use my powers, or kiss you. If you're worried about any of that for any reason." She added on once she was deep enough for the water to brush her waist. She clearly sensed that he was standing on the fence about the whole swimming thing.

He let out a short laugh. ”My mother taught me to ever trust anyone’s word.” Pete didn’t’ swim, something about it felt far too outdoorsy for him, but he found the secret part of her temptation compelling, and her, if he was being honest. He glanced at Alex again, kissing one girl, then jumping into the ocean with another one minutes later. His sister would be the one to adore this situation, not him.

That wasn’t an answer and Liv knew it as she waited for him with raised eyebrows. "I mean, unless you're just scared... then...." She even gave out a large dramatic sigh.

He let out a matching sigh, though his was one of defeat. He was about to reach down to unlace his boots, when his forgotten cigarette, now burned down to the butt, singed his finger. With a curse, he dropped the butt, snuffing it out with his shoe. He glanced back up at Liv waiting for him so expectantly and he laughed at himself, though the sound was bitter. He had just been about to actually strip off and go swimming for a girl and a measly secret. He looked out at Liv and ran a hand through his hair, messing it up even further. His voice wasn’t unfriendly, but it was meant to end the conversation about him swimming. “I’m not one of your sea creatures who can be cajoled into performing.”

He took a step back, moving away from her and the water. “And I don’t give a toss about your secret. Tell it to the fishes. Or my sister, I’m sure she’d love it.” With a shrug he stay to down the last of his beer before he wandered back to the party to grab another one.

It wasn’t until he was cracking to top of his next beer that he begun to regret how he’d probably pissed off the only person who tolerated him, and he liked. He didn’t count Alex since he wasn’t sure they did like each other, it was complicated. Anyone else probably would have just gone swimming.

He let out a short laugh. "My mother taught me to ever trust anyone’s word." Pete said, and she gave him a slow single-shouldered shrug that accompanied her upper teeth being dragged across her lower lip with her head cocked just slightly. There was the hint of a smile there; the kind that sort of reached the eyes, but not warmly - just a tad devious.

"Smart mother," she commended and watched what she thought was going to be this performance he was so adamant about being against. Liv didn’t have the seductive siren technique down, so her hopes had been relatively low in regards to getting anyone to do anything she wanted. That, and she was a bad liar, and to think she could pull a curtain over anyone’s eyes was laughable.

So when his next remarks came, they were expected. He didn’t trust her, and there had been no reason for him to do so. She was just some woman that probably dragged him to a party he had little interest in attending anyway. "I’m not one of your sea creatures who can be cajoled into performing."

"No, you’re not. If only I were so clever," Liv assured him. As if he needed it. Yet, while she didn’t have the manipulation skill that could rival certain godly offspring, something must have struck a chord in him. He clearly didn’t like Sylas, as she conclusively and quietly drew from the fact that he seemed pissed about the closet, accused her of undressing for him, and left certain inquiries unanswered. So, whilst he thought that perhaps he hadn’t given any secret away, this one was clear as day.

''And I don’t give a toss about your secret. Tell it to the fishes. Or my sister, I’m sure she’d love it," he resisted if there was anything really tugging him to meet her out there in the first place. He had her pegged for zero confidence, and he saw right through it. Besides, she never had a secret. Not one that she was willing to share anyway.

When he began to step away she just gave him a quick wave. "You almost followed me in. I suspect that I will see you later," she suggested, then turned her back on him just as he did her. It wasn’t like her to keep company anyway, and that was perfectly fine with her. She eventually dipped into the water and disappeared from sight. The Poseidon girl enjoyed the loneliest place in the world, and that was the sea. It was even more solitary at night, or so it seemed.

Liv swam far, far away from the party with the thought that no one would notice that she had abandoned them entirely. Fingers broke the surface, scrambling for a slipper, moss-covered stone that made up only a sliver of a craggy shoreline. She pulled herself up and out of the sea completely, and slid onto it until there were only her feet left dangling in the water. She looked across the distance to watch the bonfire from afar, as it was barely just a brightly burning spot with white smoke that snaked up into the dark sky.

"Looking for me, Liv?" a voice came from beside her, and when she turned to look in its direction, she saw her father there.

"Well, gods forbid that you be present for once in your life. I'm only your offspring. Or is it just your parental obligation that you see me only when I am dying?" her eyes rolled, and she leaned back to press her hands against the cool stone. Her gaze was instantly diverted elsewhere, having no real interest in looking at Poseidon.

The god took no pleasure in being talked down to like that. Especially not by a woman, of all things. This was his offspring, and she wasn't even one of the kids he wanted. He had fathered better than her. "You don't get to talk to me like that, girl," he scolded her bitterly, and sounded very much close to drowning her in the sea.

"Father of the Year right here," she scoffed, swinging her gaze back to the distant party.

"Maybe if you'd stop whining and insulting me, you'd get somewhere." His gaze followed her own and it makes his head shake. "The Zeus children are getting extra time with their father on Olympus, and the Hades child has been left without his father. It is time for you to shine if that is at all possible. You can't do that making out with boys in closets and trying to seduce lowly Demigods. You're supposed to be better than that, but you're not. Pathetic. You're as pathetic as the day you were born. The Ares child should have just done away with you."

"I am not pathetic, Father. If one could even call you that. You're just upset that you're not the star of this show, hmm? Left to dwell while the Zeus versus Hades story plays over, again and again, leaving you where? Nowhere. No one even thinks about you." she turned her head toward him, eyes narrowed into vicious slits. His insults were hurtful, and she already began to feel the rise of spite as he continued to let her know about her worthlessness.

Poseidon didn't want to be known for having such weak offspring. It was not like him to sit idly by and watch the Zeus children, of all them, walk around with their silver spoons and golden crowns. Liv needed a firm reminder as to whose child she was - and that was his. That was supposed to mean something, but she didn't know it. He didn't think she cared, either. Poseidon's personality, his pride and his sense of entitlement, would lend her very little room for failure in any way. "Insults, insults. You're my child, and if you don't start taking on the responsibility of it, then you will be condemned to live your life as pathetically human. You can control the seas, the earth - but I'm not going to give it to you. You are here to prove that you deserve it. If not, well then, it's back home for you. You won't even remember that you had a chance to be something other than ordinary, but you will always have that feeling."

Those were his parting words, for as soon as she looked back from wherever her attention had gone off to, he was gone. She was alone, again, her jaw tense and fingers gripping the stone so hard that it cracked one of her fingernails.

She finally ended up swimming back after some time. How long had gone by? A half-hour, maybe. She rose from the depths and began her walk out and back onto the sandy shore where the party was. She bent down and grabbed her clothes, threw them over her shoulders, and tried to escape back to her cabin before she was seen. She didn't even notice that she left her shoes behind, but then again... who fucking cares about shoes?

Why couldn't she have that type of parent that gives hugs and soothing fatherly advice like everyone else? It didn't really help that they were both far more alike than they were not.

It never occurred to her that there was never an introduction on her behalf. So, when Penelope inquires as to what her name is, she popped off her best mimicry of a smile that she could muster. "You may call me Rae. Just Rae, not Reagan or anything else. Short and sweet,"then she laughed, but it was only because she is probably the only one to find her own wry jest the least bit funny, "I would say like me, but my mother says I am just short - sweet would be a far stretch." She'd shrug at that and waited for Theo to settle his butt down on a log.

As Cherise left and Penelope became preoccupied with a worrisome Iliana, she turned her sights back to Theo. He's intoxicated, and she can tell. Like her brother, she is imbued with the powers of observations. "You know, a pretty smile like yours should never end up alone at the end of a party like this. I imagine you could pick which ever one of these guys you would want," he complimented her. Rather, used a silly pick-up line of which was unnecessary, but he didn't need to know that. She liked to hear the many ways men try to woo their potential interests, whether they were inebriated or not.

In the meantime, whilst she allowed him to pull off all of the moves that make him feel - well, himself, she started to pick at and eat her burger. She had sat down a while ago, and she felt comfortable enough to utterly invade any and all of his personal space. If it weren't for the lack of every man in camp coming for her, one would almost surmise that she was an Aphrodite child. She threw her long limbs onto his lap, and they were bare and and smooth to the touch. If anyone saw anything else under the skirt, she didn't care. No shits given. No modesty. Rae was Rae, sneak peaks of the undercarriage and all. At least she crossed her legs at the ankles, so that had to count for something.

Mother didn't like her modern woman tendencies - but what do millennia old goddesses know about the freedom of a woman's sexuality anyway?

Her eyes caught that bit of disdain from Theo that followed the passing of the bottle to Trinity. She looked back at the blond with a canted head before her attention turned back to her potential bedfellow. "Interesting that you find my smile pretty. No one has ever told me that before. However, you are correct - I could." She makes a point by parting her lips and slowly slipping in her index finger, since she got ketchup on it. When she pulled it back out, it was a slow gesture and done so in a way that dramatically accentuated the thickness of her lips because she didn't want to ruin her lipstick. There was a specific second in which her eye caught Sylas, and then even Duke and Pete. It was purposefully suggestive.

Once the finger popped out, she looked back at Theo and smiled. "Tell me, because I am curious. Who would be your ideal closet mate?" It didn't seem like he had a girlfriend, but with the way he looked at Trinity, she thought that there was a chance. Rae loved boys, but she didn't need boys that came with female counterparts - either in the realm of interest, relationships, or otherwise. She needed the fun, but not the drama.

* * *

ImageMeanwhile, the original Best Friends Forever, Artemis and Apollo, watched from afar. They were just having some light-hearted fun - a stroll through the camp while the Demigods played in closets. They were both amused to death, and that was probably because they were just a little bored.

Apollo looked over at Artemis, "Are you going to tell Rae and Theo that they are siblings?" He inquired curiously, placing his hands at the small of his back.

She laughed and looked over at him, "And ruin the fun that will be them discovering it all on their own? Nope!" The pair was close by, but they were not going to be seen if they did not want to be. Perhaps their children might feel their presence in some way, but they were content to remain distant observers - as they both naturally were. "This will be a good lesson for both of my promiscuous children, I think."

He draped an arm over her closest shoulder and smirked, "And what lesson would that be, old friend?"

She grinned mischievously, "That these campers need to start asking their peers about who is birthed from what god or goddess. They will never make this mistake again."

He could get behind that idea. "When will you stop them?"

She sighed, "I am really hoping that I won't have to, but the way it's going... I will intervene if they reach certain... What is it that the humans say?"

"Bases."

She nodded at that even if it was not a well understood concept to her, "Bases. If they somehow end up in the closet, I suppose I can save them from utter embarrassment. Why break up the only amusing part of this whole thing?"

Apollo agreed, and the two gods laughed. They were such dicks.

Sylas wasn't in her face but it felt like he was. His voice, his presence, his perfectly fine response all deserved to have his ass beaten. If she wasn't so repulsed by him and his commentary she might have suggested they whisk away and then she could accidentally get "carried away" choking him until he stopped breathing.

Suddenly a bottle hovered in her direction, but it wasn't the kind with any liquor in it. “Good luck.” She scowled taking the bottle from the brunette so she could be gone and the bottle out of her sight. What the hell gave the impression she wanted to be confined in a closet with somebody when she sat with her back to the circle? What did Trinity do to this girl to deserve it?

“I guess it's your turn to get groped in the closet... I hope they're a good kisser.”

Trinity's cold glare shifted to him. “As long as it's not you, I'm sure I'll have a great time.” Then she gave another one of her famous cold smiles. “I decide what happens to my body, when, where and how.” Sylas and Mason could have fun with the girls that dropped their panties the moment a guy invaded the personal space bubble.

Figuring it best to get over with, she swivelled around, sprang to her feet and spun the stupid bottle. Whoever it landed on was guaranteed a shit time. An even worse time if they invaded what little space Trinity would have left in the closet and a broken hand if they went for any groping.

What luck that it landed on Eve's back. Behind Eve's back was Wes. Supposedly one of the best kissers with his skill trades of Aphrodite. She headed on over to him and the blonde that couldn't be shaken.

"Look, let me get to the point, you want Trinity, but she’s not sure. Or whatever the problem is." Eve kept one hand on Wes's shoulder, while her other was outstretched toward him, palm up. "I can help, one little squiz at your destiny and you’ll know if she’s in it. Isn’t that what she needs, a little reassurance?"

"I think you need to learn how to mind your own business," Wes said as he pushed her hand away. Eve made damn sure the only thing in his line of sight was her, so he had no idea that Trinity had spun the bottle nor that she was approaching. Gods, did he just want her to leave him alone. It was her fault he's been digging his own grave with Trin for days now. "Watermelon." Wes didn't yell it, but he had a feeling the daughter of Ares had an eye on him ever since the minx graced him with her presence.

Trinity was always angry so it's not that it didn't trigger a violent thought or two but she was more exasperated with tonight. Trinity grabbed Eve's shoulder, spinning her around abruptly to face her.

"That was fast," Wes said rhetorically with a quiet laugh.

“Listen, this goes two ways. Either we go in the closet and it just might be the last thing you see, or you get out the way and let me take Wes.” That was Trinity projecting back the fuck off to the best of her ability. She grabbed Wes's arm, prompting him up. “Come on, up and at 'em.” In another fluid tug, Trinity sent them on the path to the closet before she could give Mason's shit girlfriend a makeover. Eve must have craved one, turning black and blue with a few missing teeth.

Wes raised his eyebrows in entertainment as Trinity proceeded to threaten Eve. He didn't even quite realize at first that it meant she had spun the bottle... and it subsequently landed on him, or the she devil. She took his hand and gave his arm a tug. His free hand pushed off his knee as he stood. "Yes ma'am."

Once a distance away from others, she let Wes go. She'd like to apologize for making things uncomfortable earlier with Liam but she couldn't and wasn't sorry. “At least it's you I have to pash.” She glanced at him from the corner of her eye. “Isn't that how it works? You get crammed in a closet and everyone expects you to make out without reservation?” She scoffed and stepped into the closet. “Apparently it's supposed to turn into the fucking discovery channel.”

Wes had to duck to get into the closet and saying it was a tight squeeze was an understatement. He was a bulky guy and fairly tall, but he couldn't help but think of poor Liam trying to cram in here without looking like the hulk in a clown car. "I guess so," he responded to the question vaguely as he adjusted in the narrow space. The closet wasn't much wider than the width of his shoulders and he tried his best to not encroach on her personal bubble. It wasn't working very well. "I'm honestly not that surprised. The sexual tension is this place is palpable." Although Wes never used his powers, there were some he couldn't switch off. Being able to sense others romantic and sexual energies was one of them.

Finding a comfortable but defiant position was a task. She leaned her back against the wall, crossed her arms, stood straight, shifted around until she called it quits. The closet really was too small. “You know, you're a real pain in my ass. I'm trying to work on my impulse control and you and your stupid handsome face, and your stupid charms are just...” she clenched her fist in the air and growled. He attracted women like flies and she thought about him too much.

Was that supposed to be an insult or a weird back handed compliment? His gaze fell slightly. Wes couldn't control the whole Aphrodite attraction thing. He wondered if she was talking about the other girls at camp like Eve... or herself. Maybe she was playing off any feelings she may or may not have to his... charm? He didn't know. Wes stopped trying to connect the dots or understand the layers of meanings behind a woman's words.

Trinity let out a breath slowly knowing it wasn’t his fault. She looked him over defeated. But that defeat slowly and gradually turned into an idea. Everything throughout the day came together to inspire her masterplan. Trinity was too hard on Wes, she was too angry, Eve was all over Wes, the intimacy expectations in the closet. She smirked. “Since you blew off our date, I cleaned your cabin and presumably, you spent the day with another woman, I think it's only fair you owe me something.” She shrugged off her leather jacket, keeping her eyes on Wes. She pulled her hair to one side then turned her back to him. “A massage,” she checked over her shoulder and grinned.

He wanted to debate the subject, say she was pissed at him which was solid enough of a reason to not try to follow up on a date. But it wasn't worth arguing about. It was both of their fault. Wes's brows furrowed as he watched Trinity slip out of her jacket. He kept his gaze locked with hers until she had her back to him. He let out a soft laugh and a weak nod of his head at the demand. His hands rose, then froze as they hovered over her shoulders. He stared at the mix of flesh and mechanical, then withdrew slightly.

He was not able to slip out of his own jacket as easily as Trinity but eventually managed to be free of it. His left hand then moved under his shirt and started unfastening the straps that kept his new arm attached. It took a moment before Wes was able to remove the prosthetic and placed it on the shelf overhead. No one wants a massage from a machine and part of him didn't like the idea of touching her with anything besides his real authentic self. Even if that meant he was absent an arm. "I may need your help to get that back on," he said quietly as his hand finally rested on her left shoulder.

Wesley's hands were most qualified to touch her because she accepted his touch for starters, and they actually felt nice. He was one of the few she could trust with her back turned. She closed her eyes rolling out her shoulders gently. “It's my 7 minutes in heaven. If I'm feeling kind, I can repay the favour, after the party.”

What did that mean? Wes tried not to let the slightly suggestive comment throw him off. Although it definitely made his heart skip a beat as he swallowed. But he didn't argue with her request. Trinity knew full well he'd do anything she asked of him, including releasing the tension in her shoulders rather than making out in a cramped closet. Wes found himself smiling slightly from the smell of her hair and their closeness as his thumb gently massaged her shoulders and then the back of her neck.

She rested her head back on his chest, gazing up at him then slowly extended her arm to reach out and play with his hair. Well, mess up really, and it wouldn't be long until Wes gathered she didn't have a fixation with his hair. He laughed as his face scrunched up, but he didn't stop her.

She spun around to face him and rubbed down his arm and chest. “What do you think? Marked up enough or more Trinity was here?” she was only half kidding.

"Well, that depends. What message are you trying to send? Are you claiming your territory? Or just wanting it to look like we played along?" Wes grinned as his hand slowly ran down her arm, pulling her a little closer as it hooked around her waist. He leaned down slightly as his palm rested upon the small of her back. His head lowered, shifting to the right of her own. He placed a gentle kiss on her neck just below her ear, letting his lips linger there for a brief moment. Then he raised his head and his fingers curled around the fabric of her shirt at the base of her back. "No one will believe it if you're not disheveled too," he said with a hint of a smile as he began to untuck her shirt.

Words were lost when Wes brought her in closer and laid a kiss on her neck. She grinned enduring the time his lips were there, even when she wanted to recoil because it was sensitive. Then Wes started to pull her shirt, one-handed and she arched her brow but decided to trust him. “A woman can't pounce on a man, leaving him defenceless?” Trinity shook her head and tutted dramatically then smiled. “My intention was to claim you were off-limits,” she poked his solid chest, “because women can't keep to themselves around you.”

Wes kept his hand on the small of her back once he finished adjusting her own appearance. He smiled as he looked down at her, his voice a whisper. "You know I'm yours. But I wouldn't argue to you claiming me." He laughed softly as he teased her.

They were on a time restraint in the closet, she almost forgot it couldn't be wasted bickering and teasing him. Trinity cupped the back of his neck giving him a kiss for no other reason than because she wanted to. Then replaced her lips on his neck with a smile. She chuckled there. “Okay, cupid, tell me how'd I do.” She kissed over his pulse point, using his body for leverage then pulled away to admire her work. Hopefully, a little bruise would pop up soon but maybe there was more technique to hickeys, more sucking or teeth required.

He was surprised at the sudden kiss, but it wasn't unwanted. Wes was happy to stand there, returning the kiss for as long as she wanted. Then Trinity's mouth moved to his neck. He wasn't expecting that. He could feel heat rise to his cheeks and chills run down his spine. His breathing got a little heavier with the kiss on his neck and her own playful laugh. Wes couldn't fight the smile on her lips as she pulled away. "I guess we'll find out."

Trinity cleared her throat. “Just getting even.” It felt like the ghost of his lips were still on her neck and he needed a little love bite, some actual marking.

7 minutes were up and Trinity bent down to pick up their jackets while Wes could go high and get his arm. “Trade you,” she said holding out his jacket for the arm. With all the emotions of camp, Trinity had forgotten to ask him about his feelings on the prosthetic arm so while she tried to equip him with a foreign limb, she spoke. “Do you like it or does it feel strange?” She hovered her hands around the object half-expecting she had done it wrong.

Wes was patient, even helping by showing her where the straps went to secure the new arm. Once it was fastened in place, he flexed and extended it as much as possible in the small closet to make sure it felt right. "It uh, throws me off balance. I got used to only having one arm... I have to be careful, gentle. It's stronger than I thought it'd be." As he spoke, he wiggled the fingers of the mechanical prosthetic. "Maybe I'll be able to fight better." He smiled and laughed.

She patted his back sending him on his way to choose somebody else with the bottle while she headed over to a log.

He took his jacket and threw it over his shoulder, feeling a little too hot to put it back on quite yet. Wes smiled toward Trinity before adjusting his path toward the fire. He scooped up the bottle into his hand, then glanced around at the campers. He nearly took it over to Liam, but seeing him with a particular small brunette convinced him not to be a cock block. That would just be a dick move. Then there was Alex or maybe Duke. He wiggled the bottle in his fingers until his gaze settled on a dark sullen looking dude that Wes couldn't remember talking to.

He walked right on over to the guy, then held out the bottle in greeting. "I don't think we've met, but you look like you could use a smile." Wes gave Pete a pat on the shoulder and left him to see what fate had in store for the closet.

Pete was ready to make a grand exit, and by 'grand' he meant slink off back to his cabin with a full bottle of beer. He'd didn't give a damn about the closet's disheveled comings and going and he'd already kissed or pissed off the two people who seemed to tolerate him. So his night seemed to be at an end, or at least he thought it was before an empty bottle was held out towards him. "I don't think we've met, but you look like you could use a smile."

Pete stared down at the bottle with a raised eyebrow, his lack of response carried on long enough to make the whole interaction turn awkward. Eventually, he put down his beer and grabbed the empty bottle off Wes, the show must go on he supposed. "Yeah, thanks mate." Of course, there was nothing thankful in the tone of his voice.

Pete headed to the center of the circle and looked at his fellow players. He figured Liv was still out at sea, so strike her out, besides he'd been a dick to her and he didn't have any desire to see her and deal with his crappy behavior. He was friendly enough with Sloane but had no wish to get in between her and the wall of muscle. Then there was Alex who he locked eyes with across the circle, he’d seen her flounce over to Duke after their kiss, probably rubbing it in his face. Pete had willingly allowed himself to be used as a tool for jealousy. Hell he’d gone to Duke to ensure his usefulness. It wasn’t his first time acting in such a role, but he was supposed to be acting better these days.

That alone should have been a deterrent against Alex, she was far too much of a wildcard and he got the feeling being around her was giving up any semblance of control. Yet as he didn’t look away from her as he spun the bottle, half hoping for another kiss and half dreading it. That was why he hardly noticed as it pointed toward a striking redhead, her legs dangling over Theo’s lap. Clearly the bottle knew exactly what he truly wanted, complication-free, preferably a redhead. With a sigh, he straightened up and raised an eyebrow at the girl. This didn’t work if she didn’t detangle herself from Theo.

It took Rae a second, well, more than a few seconds - to realize that the bottleneck was pointed right at her. She turned her head and canted it, her eyes traveled to the source and she gives off a curious, "Hmm." He had that loner appeal - a bit shaggy, rough around the edges, a certain no fucks given kind of look. That was her perfect closet mate because she, too, gives zero fucks. She just hopes that he, at the very least, took a shower.

Her gaze then fell back toward Theo, and she was all-too-happy to slide her long limbs from her conversational partner. She stood up, turned to face him, and mimicked her best sympathetic smile, "It looks like it's my go, and he doesn't seem like a guy that likes to be kept waiting," she juts her thumb behind her to gesture over at Pete, of whom waited for her to realize that it was her turn. "How does my make-up look?" She then inquired, as though he would have any clue about a woman's warpaint.

Rae pivoted to face her potential closet romp and made her way to the closet. She'd climb her way in, too, and it was probably going to be a helluva tight squeeze. While she had a relatively slim physique, she was more than blessed with volume in all the areas that really counted. Naturally, she waited for him to slip inside before she thought about assaulting him. But before that, "If you're taken, complicated, uninterested, or whatever else - please do let me know. Safeword in 'Bananas', in case you forgot. Otherwise, you don't seem like you want to listen to me talk, so..." her hands fell around the beltline of his pants to swiftly locate buttons and undo him.

Pete couldn't help a chuckle, he wanted complication-free, and she certainly seemed it. She also seemed determined to bulldoze through any shyness as she began undoing his pants. "Very direct, didn't you hear most guys prefer coyness?" His said, as his head dropped back against the closet wall. He was happy to let her take control if that's what she wanted.

"Oh, but I read that men need directness to avoid the so-called conundrum of 'woman-speak'. Whatever that is," she replied without missing a beat. "I'm afraid that neither my mother or my father blessed me with coyness. Think of it as a break from having to think too much."

Rae was no saint, and this is a nice private space with only seven minutes to spare. She never made the best impressions anyway, so there was really only one way to go. She stepped into him and made sure that he was pressed against the back wall as much as possible, quickly commanding the scene unless she was bannana'd. No pun or innuendo intended. There were tugs at his pants and other things, and soon enough she had sunk down to occupy her mouth with anything else but words.

All too soon their time was up leaving Pete with no time to return the very satisfying favor. Once everything was put away and their, well his, clothing was readjusted Pete looked her over. He'd been right about his claims to Liv earlier, not enough space or time, he'd also been proven right in his preference for redheads. Rae, herself, had stood up and used her thumb to remove any displaced lipstick. Not that she could really see it. She also helped him button up, even going so far as to make it almost look like she hadn't skipped almost all bases save for home.

Pete stepped forward, pushing himself up against her, feeling all her curves against him. He moved into her ear to whisper, "Guess I'll return the favor later." As he pulled back he gave her a quick kiss, their first kiss technically. She tilted her head at him and gave him a half-smile, her fingers wrapped around his biceps as he tugged her close. "I think later might be too long a wait. Wouldn't you agree?" Then he was released, and soon they were jumping out of the closet for someone else's use.

It was only out of the closet, as Pete looked her over in his usual quiet way, he realized, "Your name love?"

The pair didn't look as hot of a mess as others did. The only thing suggestive of anything was the little bit of lipstick that made its way to the corners of her mouth, yet there was nothing on neither Pete's face nor his neck to insinuate that she had been in any of those places at all. As she took care of her make-up to the best of her ability, "Rae."

The Artemis child couldn't be fussed to pick up the bottle while her lipstick was everywhere, so Pete grabbed the bottle, tossing towards the nearest person without a care, that new girl, Nelly. She smiled in the direction of her fellow redhead, "Best of luck to you, dear. Don't do anything I wouldn't do." Pete sighed and shook his head, that hardly discounted anything.

Then she glanced at Theo and sighed, her tone a bit too dramatic to be genuine, "I apologize Theo, but I hear it's bad manners to leave a job half done. If you catch my drift. So, I think I'll retire for the night." It was just expected that Pete was going to follow her because he does owe her, and to make her sit and wait was just awfully unfair.

She'd end up dragging him off, "Your place or mine? Staying the night is not required unless you're the cuddling type, then I won't say no." It didn't matter to her.

Pete raised an eyebrow at Rae as she expected him to trundle along behind her like an obedient puppy. Her forthrightness was a breath of fresh air alright, he just couldn't decide if that was a good thing or not. If he cared more he might have put up a fight, but instead he just answered, "Yours." Then let her the lead the way, she was right about being a break from having to think.

Image Alex kept her eyes on Pete as he was about to spin the bottle, and with his eyes locked on hers, that thing soon began to spin. It wasn't long before it stopped, and when Alex looked down to see who it had landed on.. her heart sank. It had landed on Rae. Alex looked up at her with a glare as she found the redhead sprawled across Theo's lap. Was there any guy on camp that she hadn't tried it with yet?

As Rae entered the closet with Pete, Alex watched with dread as the door closed behind them before she looked away and saw Daniel with her brother. She managed a smile and made her way towards them.

"The ruler to be all alone, vulnerable, right for the overthrow or is it abduction I might benefit more from."

Ajax smiled, even chuckled. He didn't have to turn around to see who it was, and oddly, he was grateful that Daniel had shown up with his energetic personality. "You can try, though I won't go easily." he grinned.

Image With his elbows resting down against his knees, Daniel sat across from him with a smile of his own.

"Hey boss, how you doing?" Ajax took hold of Daniel's hand with his own, shaking it.

"Honestly? I could be better, but I'll be fine." Daniel could probably tell he didn't want to talk about it as he managed to change the subject.

"You know I've been thinking, literally just then, I think I want kids, but not full time. More like hang out for a bit then can get rid of them in a few hours - an uncle! When am I going to be an uncle?" Ajax froze at that question. Before Daniel could even gesture to Andy, he knew exactly who they meant. Ajax's eyes traveled over to where Andy was, causing to exhale slowly from his nostrils as he looked down, clasping his hands together as Daniel carried on to talk. "If he has more witchy powers - and I really think it's going to be a boy, I could definitely help out. I mean even if we want to crack the whip a little in this camp, I could conjure a monster. I've really wanted to try a kraken," he confessed, tapping on his knees.

As nice as the thought was, there was no chance of him having children with Andy. Especially not now. She was conflicted between two men, and there was no chance of him competing. Not because Mason was better than him, or anything.. it was just as simple as wanting Andy to choose for herself. So be it if she chose Mason. He would just have to accept that his love for her wasn't strong enough to keep her by his side. "So she didn't tell you then?" Ajax would have said, but Daniel changed the subject again.

"So how do you get bottle immunity anyway? Every other person is playing." Ajax looked in the direction he threw his thumb back to the circle. That game was toxic, and Ajax definitely wanted nothing to do with hormonal teens. "Even Alex's- " he did a double-take, causing Ajax to lean a little to one side, his line of sight just past Daniel. "boyfriend went in the closet with another girl...What is with the people on camp these days!? The mouth just isn't a sacred thing anymore."

Ajax snorted a laugh and shook his head with a slight roll of his eyes. "Tell me about it. I'm leaving tomorrow with Alex. We're going to mount Olympus to spend time with dad, and... well... Alex has asked Duke to come. Come with too if you want. It'll be better than this place at the moment. And umm...." thinking back on what Daniel said about Andy, and the question he wanted to ask earlier. "Didn't Andy say anything to you, about..." he started to say "Well, we br--"

Image Before Daniel could question him, or before Ajax could even finish to explain, Alex came rushing over and wrapped her arms around Daniel. She squeezed him slightly, then kissed his cheek and settled down beside him. "Finally get a moment with you. How are you? and what you boys talkin' about exactly, huh?" she smiled. "Gossiping about girls?" she grinned as she looked between the both of them. If they were, she'd want to know. It meant the world to her to see both men she cared about to be happy. Daniel especially with everything that had gone on for him last year. It was nice to see him back, and nice to see him being himself again. Hopefully, he'd be happy with someone soon too.

Image "And did you just see Pete wander off with Rae? - She's the camp's biggest slut here, and it's disgusting. She has not long tried to get Duke to go with her, then was flirting with Theo. I honestly thought that Pete had better taste and standards than that."

Was his little sister maybe a little jealous and annoyed that the bottle didn't land on her?

"Al... I really couldn't care less about their teen dramas. Just stay out of it, okay?"

She didn't protest and just nodded in agreement.

"If they wanna be like that, then that's their problem. Not ours."

He was right, she knew it. Which is why she didn't argue with him. She remained silent for a moment as her eyes wandered off into the direction of where Pete had followed Rae for the night. Her fingers played with the fabric of her shorts as she tore her eyes away, eliminating any thought of them together. This time, her eyes landed on Duke. She was curious as to what he was thinking at this point, especially about the redhead he had not long been talking to before Pete got his claws into her.

Alex folded her arms this time as her brother went back to talking with Daniel, but the second she heard him mention that him and Andy had broken up and gone on some break, Alex felt her fists screwing up in her lap. Ajax had been nothing but loyal to her, and now she was throwing it in his damn face, and for what? Mason? for a long time, it seemed as though those two had something there between them, but she didn't think Andy would try and act on it. Even though there was clearly a dislike for her, Alex still had hope that the girl's feelings were genuine for her big brother.

"I don't want to cause a scene anytime soon, so... I just want people to leave her alone." he looked to Alex when he said that, knowing that she might want to address the issue with Andy personally. "Besides, it's probably my fault because of... I never gave her much attention. Honestly, she's better off without me." Ajax shrugged. He had no clue how Daniel was going to react, but he did know that he couldn't force her to stay with him or to even keep her away from Mason.

Alex shot up out of her seat. "Don't do that for her! don't make excuses for her!" she shouted.

Ajax looked around at the others, hoping they were too busy to notice her outburst. He didn't want anyone bugging him with questions. "Sit down.." he warned her lowly, and she did after seconds hesitation. "Just leave it."

Alex glared off in Andy's direction.

The seemingly unlikely duo would wander off into the woods, setting forth on the path that led them to their cabins. Well, her's to be specific. At first all would be silent, but even the socially inept daughter of Artemis knew that was both rude and uncomfortable as hell. Besides, she couldn't remember if she caught his name, much less if he gave it. It was the perfect and easiest conversation starter that she could pull out from thin air.

"So," she began, hand patting down the soft fabric of her skirt that bellowed slightly in the breezy air. "Did you tell me your name? Oh, and parentage. I'm new here, as you probably know, and I'm just a little bit curious to know." She glanced back at him for only a second; eyes traveling over his figure with uncertainty if there was approval or judgement. It was always hard to tell. "Not that you are required to tell me anything, of course." Her eyes fell back onto the path so that she didn't miss her cabin.

To be fair, she's pretty sure that she had forgotten where it was. Curse these first days. She should have taken a picture of it or jotted it down on the back of her hand in permanent marker. She's not typically known for forgetting much, but this placed looked a lot different in the dark. A helluva lot different. Still, she sort of just strolled because the night was where she was most comfortable. A midnight stroll through some dark ass woods is peaceful to her where it might be uncertain and eerie to others.

"I'll start," she offers, just in case he felt a little bit hesitant. Maybe she just loved to talk, or couldn't pick up on the fact that someone might want a little peace and quiet from everything unless she's told directly. "I'm a daughter of Artemis. I'm pretty simple, I think. I don't like surprises, appreciate the blunt truth, and can't form secure and genuine attachments, which means less work and worry for you," she paused for a moment, but only to catch a breath, "But I love to cuddle, so if you stay the night then you're going to have to deal with that. I'm not sure why, but I am sure a lot of it has to do that men are just... warm. I'm always cold." And Rae was talking on and on, like the loquacious creature she was. Pete was free to just listen and nod away, and she'd not even notice if he totally spaced and decided to tune her out.

However, she was just buying time to find her cabin. She knew only that she placed a hand-crafted wooden hanging of the lunar phase that encircled a black flying raven. That was there just in case, but it was sort of hard to see in the dark. She stopped, a hand rubbing her arm because it was getting a bit chilly. She never thought about planning for a cool night - the dolt that she could be every so often.

Rae’s eyes took on a bird-like quality for a moment; darkening entirely to a deep brown that flashed yellow at the touch of the moon. "Ah, there it is. Everything looks different at night," she tried to blame away her forgetfulness with excuses as her eyes retreated to their natural hue and she commenced with leading him.

Finally, both Pete and Rae were climbing the steps to her cabin, as she had taken the path that was shown to her quite quickly after that short pause they made moments ago. The door was flung open haphazardly, the door decor banging around in a fuss, and she let Pete in first so that she could shut and lock it after him. She didn't want Cherise barging in, after all.

"Welcome to my humble abode," she declared. It was clean. Very clean. In fact, it was just that she hadn't unpacked completely but must have taken the time to go over everything with bleach. She couldn't know what kind of demigod had this place before her and what dirty shenanigans they were up to.

They'd go right through the living space because there was nothing there of note. Not yet, anyhow. Her room, however, was a different story. The bed had clothing strewn all over the place, and there was an empty suitcase hanging open in a hectic mess. It looked like she tried on a million outfits before deciding on just this one. She didn't look at him in shame or pretend to be sorry about it, she just pulled it all off and into her suitcase. She let the top flap closed, as much as it could with a mountain of attire just thrust carelessly into it. While bent over with hands on the edge of the bed, she kicked the suitcase under it. It was almost like it was never there!

"Make yourself comfortable. I think I have sand in my unmentionables, so I'm hopping in the shower." As she moved toward said bathroom, and then inside of it seconds later, she popped her head out, "Coming? Because it doesn't matter what you did on the beach - there is always sand in all the wrong places."

Theo allowed himself to relax as Rae entangled her legs in his. Even when drunk, Theo was a people watcher. The inability to turn off his acute observation skills could be quite the curse sometimes. The small talk with Rae and Nelly was enough to keep him entertained as the seemingly never-ending game of seven minutes in heaven dragged on. Still unaware he was making constant passes at his sister, Theo's head was heavy from the alcohol but his mind at ease. That is until he watched Trinity's turn with the bottle unfold. As Theo's worst luck would have it, the bottle came to a stop pointing directly at Wes. He felt himself tense up, jaw clinched, as he watched the duo head past him towards the closet. It wasn't just seeing them together that bothered Theo. It was the fact that 36 hours prior, Theo seemed to be in good standing in their complicated little love triangle. Now, it was like Trinity couldn't even take the time to acknowledge his presence at the party.

Theo let out a sigh. This is precisely why Theo liked running with the wolves. The wolves weren't complicated. They never deviated from what they were supposed to do in the pack. He never had to worry about things not going according to plan. Glancing at Rae for a moment, Theo started to tune out the world around him in order to zero in on the noise from the closet. He could hear talking, which meant there wasn't kissing, and he could remain satisfied at that. His gut screamed at Theo to keep listening, but it made him feel shitty and awkward. He let the noise from the party filter back in, drowning out the events of the closet.

Letting himself relax once again, Theo continued to chat with his newfound party mates. It wasn't long before Trinity was out of the closet, and Wes was handing the bottle to Pete. Theo was cognizant of the fact that he had yet to go into the closet, and he was pretty sure Rae and Nelly had not made their appointed visit either. It wouldn't remain that way though as the bottle spun right around to point at himself and Rae. All he could do was roll his eyes. For someone who never struggled with women in his old life, Camp Athens sure did feel cursed to Theo on that front.

"It looks like it's my go, and he doesn't seem like a guy that likes to be kept waiting," Rae said as she relieved herself of her place in Theo's lap. She wasn't wrong. Pete looked like the kind of guy who would take full advantage of this situation. Theo smiled at Rae softly as she looked down at him. "How does my make-up look?"

With a smirk on his face and his hand still in hers from helping to guide her to stand up, Theo gave Rae a compliment, "You're practically glowing love. Have fun." Theo released her hand, satisfied to let her go. Surprisingly, he wasn't miffed at all. Theo returned to his people watching as Rae walked away, and it wasn't long before he started to feel a certain drowsiness brought on by the combination of alcohol and inactivity. The seven minutes did not feel long at all, and before Theo knew it, Rae was approaching him again. He smiled at her, but it was clear she was not intent on cozying up with Theo again from the side eye action she was giving Pete. "I apologize Theo, but I hear it's bad manners to leave a job half done. If you catch my drift. So, I think I'll retire for the night."

Theo was content enough on his own to ignore the sexual innuendo from Rae. If only he knew this was his sister, he might respond differently. He bid her a good night and managed to get himself to grab another drink. Nelly was spinning the bottle, but Theo wasn't sure he was very interested in the game anymore. As he grabbed a bottle of his favorite beer, he spotted the trio sitting away from the party. Ajax, Alex, and Daniel looked like an inviting enough group. With all the fuss and drama of recent days, along with the camp newbies, the group of camp veterans hadn't had much of a chance to talk. It wasn't like anyone needed to do much reminiscing over the events of the previous year. War sounds cool and all, but after actually participating in one, Theo didn't find it all it was cracked up to be. Theo grabbed three much drinks and wandered over to his old friends.

Ya know, camp kinda sorta sucks now. Things were much simpler when it was just us around here," Theo spoke out as he approached the group from behind. He had a smile on his face, and it was apparent that he was half joking. Only half though, there was certainly some truth behind what Theo had to say. The oldies were like a family, and while Theo was more than willing to let new demigods have the opportunity to be a part of that family, more people made things more complicated.

Eve ignored Trinity’s rough man handling and threats, refusing to rise to the bait she even smiled politely as Trinity stole Wes away. Without her influencing magic she wasn’t batting too well, and there were better people to mess with anyway. You know people who didn’t possess the ability to put her in a shallow grave. As she watched them walk over the closet together she had the fleeting thought that those two crazy kids might just work out.

Eve considered going to bother Mason as that always seemed to put her in a good mood. One glance his way though and she changed her mind. Usually she’d find the idea of messing with him while he ogled Andy across the dance floor quite enjoyable, but not tonight. Watching it just made her annoyed.

Pouring herself another drink, Eve found herself with incredible timing as Liam presented the meek brunette that had barnacled herself to his side all night with a drink. Going so far as to proclaim it, “Sex on the beach.”

Putting down the bottle she was pouring from, she placed a hand on the table and used it to lean across to the duo. “God, I’d die for some,” She put on her best sultry voice making sure the innuendo was clear, Liam didn’t seem the he did well with subtle. Eve let her eyes wander over him, obviously checking him out. This was going to be a great test of this fledgling relationship, though considering Liam’s first words to Eve had been ‘nice tits’ she didn’t think luring him away was going to be tricky.

When Sloane coughed her way through a compliment about the drink, Eve swiped up a napkin and handed it over to her. She was about to delve into a story about the first time she’d ever had vodka, which ended with her vomiting in her step-mother’s handbag. However before she could begin, she caught Mason’s eye from where he stood by the fire. She turned back to Liam and Sloane, her eyes lingering on Liam’s body a moment longer than appropriate, a practiced move on her part. “I’ll catch you later maybe?”

She headed over to Mason with a fresh drink in hand. “You know you’re allowed to approach me first?” Eve seemed to be the one always instigating things, even now, he’d looked for her, but she’d been the one to come for him. It wasn’t like he was shy. “I was kidding about the getting attached thing.” She smirked over the rim of her drink before raising one shoulder in a half-hearted, playful shrug. “Mostly.”

After downing half her drink in one mouthful, she glanced over her shoulder where Andy still danced and sighed. A guy like Mason fawning over a girl like her, it was a cliché. With a grin, she ran a hand up on to Mason’s shoulder and rose onto her tippy toes so she could stage whisper, “I think you might be the one most in danger of trying to poke the bear.” It was an immature innuendo, but as Eve rocked back on her heels she had to fight to keep a laugh or grin bubbling out of her. Her eyes lit up in amusement. “Do you get it?”

Now it was time for question she’d woken up with this morning, not important enough to interrupt closet time, but now seemed like as good a time as any. “So, I have a question for you. With your dad,” She wrinkled up her nose and glanced over to where Alex was with her circle of friends, “you know. Do you have to go to the underworld to step in?”

“And then follow up question,” Eve wound a lock of her hair around her index finger, glancing up at Mason from under her lashes with a coy smile. Deliberately crossing the line from pleading girl to caricature of a pleading girl in the hopes of getting a laugh and winning him over just slightly. “Can I come with you?”

Pete with a lazy hand shoved into his pocket wandered on after Rae, letting her lead the way. He didn’t stop to give his farewells to anyone, he was fairly certain his presence wasn’t even noticed, let alone going to be missed. So used to his own company, and peaceful silence, he didn’t notice that they weren’t talking, or perhaps that they should be. Not until Rae took it upon herself to break it and speak out into the night. "So, did you tell me your name? Oh, and parentage. I'm new here, as you probably know, and I'm just a little bit curious to know. Not that you are required to tell me anything, of course."

It was dark, but Pete didn’t miss her curious gaze raking him over, which he responded to with a raised eyebrow. He had no idea what she was looking for with that uncertain look, she hadn’t seemed uncertain about anything else up to this point. Perhaps she was just checking that he definitely hadn’t miraculously turned into a 6’5 stud on the way up from the beach. He shrugged and squinted out into the darkness. “If I don’t want to say something, I won’t.” She should know that straight up, coercion doesn’t play well with him.

He was trying to remember what her original question was, but apparent he’d taken too long. "I'll start. I'm a daughter of Artemis. I'm pretty simple, I think. I don't like surprises, appreciate the blunt truth, and can't form secure and genuine attachments, which means less work and worry for you." Rae paused, and Pete opened his mouth to say something, the way normal conversations worked, but she just started up again. "But I love to cuddle, so if you stay the night then you're going to have to deal with that. I'm not sure why, but I am sure a lot of it has to do that men are just... warm. I'm always cold."

He nodded a few times, and blinked very slowly that was a lot to take in on a first… whatever this was. He could have attempted to take it all in, or even fill her in on the fact that she had just been flirting with her very own half-brother. Instead Pete just responded to the one thing he felt qualified to, “Blunt truth. I’m good at that.” They settled into silence again and Pete realised after what was probably too long, that he had even answered her original question, her little tirade had distracted him. “Pete. Hera is my,” He rubbed a hand through his hair, mother had never been the right word to describe the relationship. “Whatever.”

Eventually, with a little Artemis magic, Rae brought them up the steps of her cabin. He paused on the last step when a wooden raven caught his eye. He reached up and gently touched one of the moons encircling it, Rae had only arrived today and the first thing she thought to do was to put this up, that was telling. When he glanced up at the redhead she swinging the door open and motioning for him to go in first. "Welcome to my humble abode."

Pete raised an eyebrow with an accompanying smirk as she bolted the door closed behind her. “Locking me in already?” He asked. Then he turned to take in her cabin, which was entirely empty of possessions, and smelled slightly on cleaning products, strong ones. He wrinkled his nose, clearly she’d taken it upon herself to do some bonus cleaning, his cabin hadn’t smelt like this when he’d found it. He took off his jacket and draped it across the back of the couch as he followed Rae through to her bedroom.

He was hardly shocked to see the tangle of clothes strewn about. He’d shared rooms with Eve, and after that nothing about females had the power to shock him. Instead he leaned against the doorway with a smirk. “I thought you were prepared to bring some poor sod back home, the way you practically dragged me here.” He said, his voice holding a slight teasing tone, which was as playful as he really got. He enjoyed the view as she was bent over, kicking the bag under the bed. A nice, sweet guy would have offered to help.

From his place in the doorway, his eyes tracked Rae’s movement towards the bathroom. "Make yourself comfortable. I think I have sand in my unmentionables, so I'm hopping in the shower.” Pete bit his bottom lip and looked toward the open bathroom door, weighing up exactly how comfortable to make himself. Then her head and spiraling red hair popped back out for a quick moment, “Coming? Because it doesn't matter what you did on the beach - there is always sand in all the wrong places."

Pete gazed over at the bathroom for long enough that he heard the unmistakable hiss of hot water as she started up the shower. Unable to do anything but comply, Pete lazily wandered after Rae, striping off his shirt as he went. Once he made sure he got a good, long look at Rae, his pants and everything else would follow his shirt before he joined her in the steamy shower. If cuddly was the worst thing she got during the night, he’d stick around.

The shower, as one would expect, was shamelessly lengthy and wasteful. Artemis' daughter was making quick work of taking control, but she did share if Pete was so inclined to get in a little himself. Though, it was not much. He would learn quite quickly that control was something she found hard to let go of, so the ball was vastly in her court. At the very least, she'd not make it unbearable for him. The frisky woman knew what she was doing, how, and when certain things were appropriate. She didn't have many boundaries, either. She wanted to get to the fulfillment of pleasure, and that was all. If he got there, too, then great.

When all was said and done, she'd wiggle into something lacy and thin. One could barely call it sleepwear, really. Since he was staying the night, she attempted to put aside her nightly rituals. It was hard. Rae wanted to just lay down, read a book, put up some decor that she's been leaving for another day. Instead, she made herself do the important things - check the windows, close the curtains. The redhead wandered through the quaint cabin to ensure that all was secure - and yes, she totally locked Pete in. It wasn't her fault, really. She had a few phobias, and one of them was a lack of security in an unfamiliar place. She hated falling sleep in a place she didn't know. It was unnerving - utterly.

To say that she dragged Pete to the cabin just for sex wouldn't be entirely false, but a bit unfair. Then again, no one actually knew her and she wouldn't admit to being a total nutcase. His thoughts on why he was here didn't bother her, and the opinions of other people certainly had no effect. The carnal delight was a surface necessity that masked a not-so-obvious desire to have someone with her in a new place. Typically, that would be a task that falls onto Cherise, but Hera's son would suffice. The shower fun was just an advantage of the company.

He wasn't a six-foot five stud, but he was cute in that way that carried an air of mystery in all of his aloofness. He wasn't going to give her many issues, and thus far, appeared to have no shame in leaving with her. He also didn't seem to mind that she was a tad domineering and a little obsessive.

Rae didn't speak to him at all whilst prepping to sleep. He didn't talk much and she didn't want to bother him with her overly verbal nature when he only returned a word or two. Whatever he had occupied himself with in the meantime, she didn't care. There wasn't much to do anyway.

Eventually, she was standing at the edge of the bed as if something had been missed entirely. Large eyes peer down at him and her lips sort of purse in thought. She chewed anxiously on the bottom of her lip and finally spoke, "Wake me up if you leave while I am sleeping. Won't you? I just -" she paused at that and tilted her head. "I'm not going to stop you, of course. I just... need to know." She made an attempt at a small smile, but she knew how she sounded - like a really weird chick. What could she say? Major control issues.

That said, she crawled herself into bed and slipped under the covers. Rae waited until he was comfortable, or least looked it, and unabashedly sought him out for some pretty intensive cuddling. If he thought he was going to slip away easily, then he might have a hard time. The physical contact is an extra layer of security. Not that she knew Pete from anyone else in camp. Maybe it was something in the realm of if someone came in while she was sleeping, he'd theoretically defend her.

Theoretically. Hell, she would also totally sacrifice him to save herself.

Regardless, she liked it and she generally did what she wanted. Pete was free to never come back to her cabin again if the cuddling was unbearable. Not that cuddling could ever actually be bad.
