Theo laughed with Ajax as they both coughed back their first shots, raising his cup to the air as if to toast. They two had gotten a lot closer after the war as they took it on themselves to hold their makeshift family together through the tragedy. He heard footsteps behind him, and looked over his shoulder to see his sister approaching. She smiled at the two boys. "Ajax, hi. Theo, I believe you promised me alcohol?" He nodded towards his bag to suggest she could go ahead, but Alex came across from the other direction and requested a drink too. He went ahead and made both the girls a coke and whiskey, smiling to them as he handed them their cups. He was glad her sister was making friends. She could certainly handle herself socially, probably better than Theo at most points. She would thrive in camp life.

He leaned forward to whisper in Emery's ear so he didn't disrupt her conversation, "Hey, have fun. Just don't forget you have to formally introduce me to your cute redheaded friend." He glanced over towards Gwen. A group of newer campers had congregated and seemed to be enjoying themselves. That was good. Theo had grown protective over the camp and its inhabitants, which was technically his job anyway. He wanted to see everyone there succeed, and he wanted to watch the camp give to others what it gave to him.

A pat on the shoulder and a sharp voice broke him from his thoughts. "Hey man, did I hear something about shots?" It was unmistakably Sylas. Sylas was one of the more interesting and divisive additions to the camp. His parentage was disconcerting, and Ajax had already mentioned that he got a bad vibe from the guy. Still, Theo had yet to see anything wrong with him. Honestly, Theo found Sylas to be funny and mostly harmless so far. He did get this feeling of uneasiness and edginess when he was around though. Theo chalked this up to some of his preconceived notions about what he might be like.

He turned towards Sylas, "Yeah man. Straight whiskey. I'll take another round if you want a couple." Theo once again reached for his bag, but this time he got out all of the alcohol and cups and mixers. He opted to leave it out and let everyone make drinks for themselves. He poured four shots and passed two of them to Sylas.

"Oh man, Ken Doll has been upgraded to loser. I don't know if the nicknames could get much better than that."

She grinned wickedly as he gave a playful bump. Oh she was always packed with nicknames for Wes but loser was super temporary.

"Pretty sure that was old asshole Wes who said that," he replied. Before she could open her mouth to object that there were separate Wesley's, he humored the idea. "Could you handle all of this? This arm has been doing the work of two arms for quite sometime now. I may not be a fighter, but I do have some muscles."

She smiled barely able to repress a playful roll of her eyes. โ€œI'm aware of the swell in your arm, Ken. I pick my targets you know and I do like a little challenge.โ€

"I'll make you a deal. I'll arm wrestle you, and if I win... You go on a real official date with me." The words almost brought her to a complete halt but she settled on slowing her pace. "And if you win...?"

โ€œAn official date,โ€ she echoed. For some reason the concept held a heavy weight. Probably because she didn't date in the history of ever and her mind raced way ahead of time, at awkward family dinners, comparing her to his flawless ex. โ€œSounds serious.โ€ She was able to snap out of her little nightmare and purse her lips. โ€œIf I win, you be my slave for 24 hours. I know, bit of a lack of imagination on my part,โ€ she admitted with a tut. โ€œBut it's flexible for me.โ€

It felt like she had laid a foot at the bonfire when that one voice rang above the rest. "Spin the bottle anyone?"

Trinity side glanced to Wes. A game right in his domain and more than half the campers would be upset if the Son of Aphrodite didn't play. Most eligible bachelor not playing spin the bottle. In what world did that make sense. Trinity lifted his arm off her shoulder gently. โ€œYou can go teach the freshies how it's done.โ€ It would be good for everyone to just sink into their comfort zones again, you know, Aphrodites children loving and kissing, encouraging that party spirit and games, and Ares children fighting. Trinity not caring who he meshed lips with. โ€œWho knows, you might end up on Alex,โ€ she dropped casually with a shrug. She didn't even feel bitter or cold when she said it. โ€œLots of, uh, you know...'cuties' this year.โ€

Trinity sucked in a breath doing her own double-take. Did she just refer to the new batch of demigods as cuties? Oh well. Trinity snatched a drink from the cooler not caring what foresaken flavor or type it was. But when she did see beer, her stomach and head flooded with disappointment and a pinch of anger for the lack of variety. Trinity didn't know where she left Wes in her pace off for a drink and escape, but she felt she had to keep moving with purpose.

She saw the spunky figure of Harleen, thankfully on her own and sat herself beside her. โ€œHarley,โ€ she greeted.

Harleen was doing the rounds with her eyes when they landed on Raven. She gave a nod of acknowledgement to her before Raven gained some company. Harley would have to express at a later time that she was glad she came.

โ€œHarley.โ€ Some tight leggings and grey shirt came into view, then the face followed.

โ€œPuddin'.โ€ Harley grinned wickedly and even gave a sparkling wink. Jokes aside, Trinity had a way of exciting Harley. It was like she never knew what she was going to get or what would happen. The two both had competitive and daring bones so it was a compelling and energetic mix. To Harley anyway. She shuffled a little closer to Trinity like she had a secret to share, her eyes downcast on their shoes. โ€œDare or dare?โ€ She turned to face the fiery blonde with another grin.

Trinity shook her head slowly with a hint of a smile. โ€œNope. I know how that story goes.โ€

Harley did a pout to the quality of dramatic arts. Expectedly, an exaggerated sad face meant nothing to the camp's warrior's queen so Harley began a quiet build-up of the chicken dance, the imitation getting bigger and louder until Trinity would resort to change her mind.

A gentle elbow to her side confirmed her master plan had worked. โ€œShush. Fine. What am I doing?โ€

โ€œWell, as tempted as I am to dare you to join the bottle of lip-locking, I won't do that.โ€ Harley stroked her non existent mustache, pondering what could be amusing for her, and challenging for Trinity. โ€œI would like to see you flirt. You know, really try. Or be as charming as you can be.โ€

โ€œI am charming!โ€ Trinity protested. Harley noticed the first beer had been knocked back quickly, Trinity now twisting an empty bottle to stand in the sand. โ€œI can be anyway. You know, Wes likes my company, for whatever reason. Theo once liked me. We were like...โ€ she twisted her index and middle finger around each other.

โ€œWhy doesn't he like you anymore?โ€ Harley asked, concerned.

โ€œMore charming people entered camp.โ€ She laughed.

โ€œOh, Trinity, that's not like...โ€ Harley broke off with a smile and sighed out softly. That was one of Trinity's endearing traits. Not really reading and responding to signals. โ€œI think he used to really, really like you. Now he's looking for someone else.โ€

Trinity's lips were paused agape and her eyebrows furrowed. โ€œOoohh. Damn.โ€

โ€œSo are you going to play charming or dance with anybody of your choosing.โ€ Since she was a good friend she was just throwing some options out there.

"How is camp treating you so far? what do you think of the bonfire? If you've got a favorite song Ajax might have it on his playlist."

โ€œSame as it is everybody else,โ€ she observed towards his first question. โ€œI think it's like a bonfire should be,โ€ she noted secondly. It had the fire, it had the food and booze, the young attendants so it was standard. Thirdly, she looked towards the renowned son of Zeus and the other campers that gravitated towards him. Even if she did have a song request, she wouldn't want to risk hurting their bubble wrapped ego, nor approach the number of people he reeled in. โ€œSomehow I don't think so,โ€ she remarked simply.

"Have you met my sister?" he asked next as if he could read the chances of her approaching Ajax and that congregation of people.

Evelyn followed to whom he spoke, and a smile crept across her lips. The youngest and most sour demigod among them, ironically. โ€œAs delightful as she looks, no, I haven't.โ€ She was going to leave it as that but in the spirit of socialization and parties and honesty, and considering she was half-blood and sister. โ€œHowever, she's on my list. I think those that are more...rough have endured a lot.โ€ Evelyn partly wished she could go up to the girl take her hands and grant her a different perception of the people in the world or turn her luck around, but that wouldn't work out so well. Firstly the physical contact, and second changing perceptions was not possible.

โ€œMcKenna and Duke, right?โ€ Evelyn's finger swayed between the two. โ€œI'm Evelyn. You can call me Eve if you're compelled to.โ€ She held out her a hand for a shake.

The party was in full swing as more and more demigods began to gather around the campfire. She eyed each and every one of them closely, taking mental note of those who specifically caught her eye. Though her vision was soon obscured by a boy with a mess of black hair atop his head. Anyone with a pair of working eyes could tell that the boy was nervous, and Areum quirked her brow as he handed her a beer, stumbling over his words with as much grace as a drunken fool. She surely wasn't a fan of the beverage, but she accepted the drink, deciding to entertain him for a little while. Besides, she wasn't so heartless that she would turn away the poor guy when it clearly took all of his courage just to walk up to her.

Areum took a quick swig, holding back the urge to gag as the bitterness of the beer washed over her tongue, before turning back to him, "Thank you for that. I'm Areum, you?" It was as simple as introductions came, but she was trying her best not to scare the guy away. From how he navigated the area around him he seemed as new to the camp as she was, and although she probably couldn't get any of the information she was looking for out of him, it was still good to make a few connections here and there.

The sound of commotion caught her as people began to gather right next to the fire, forming a circle to play spin the bottle. Areum wasn't eager to join in on the game herself, at least not at that very moment, but she was sure it'd be an entertaining game to watch.

Before Nik could answer Gwen's eyes strayed to Emery who was just coming down the beach and to the bonfire. Gwen caught Em's eye and waved, and Gwen returned the favor shooting her a smile.

Ummm, I'm doing great!!! I'm kinda nervous though, it's my first 'party'."
Gwen gave him a warm smile and nudged him with her shoulder. "You have nothing to worry about, trust me" She understood his nervousness considering she had gotten quite close to her half-sibling, Finn. He was also a little uncomfortable at things like these, but there was nothing more than a good support group of friends to help. "You have Annie, Adri, Ani, the others, and I for backup". "I just hope I don't mess it up, by being weird." Gwen's face fell at his comment. She knew that he had already underwent some teasing from other campers, and it put quite a damper on his mood. "Listen, if anyone has a problem with you they can gladly sleep with the fishes tonight" She winked and there was definitely a playfully gleam in her eyes.

Gwen's eyes strayed slightly as she noticed Finn had actually shown up, she grinned proudly at the boy even though he hadn't noticed her yet. She did however notice that a girl had peaked his attention and her eyebrow rose slightly. Hmm, he hasn't mentioned her before. It was obviously going to be a topic of conversation when they got back to the cabin.

"Spin the bottle anyone?" Kalani's voice caught her attention and she turned to see the girl holding an empty bottle of beer. Oh no... Gwen thought to herself, there was practically nothing more that she loathed. She loved general, normal interaction to meet others, but forced and awkward interaction was the worst. Gwen turned back to Nik to comment on the idea but her eyes widened when she saw his face. "Oh no. Absolutely not. I am not going to play that - " Before she could finish Nik grabbed her arm and drug her over to the circle sitting her down next to him in the sand. She could only hope and pray that the bottle didn't land on her.

Domonik sat on a log near the edge of the bonfire (far away from the fire itself) hoping to avoid any interaction. Then what was the point of even coming? If I'm not going to indulge myself like everyone else? He still wasn't sure on that be he had already gone extremely out of his comfort zone to even be near a party so he wasn't going to give in to the conversation aspect of it. It was guaranteed that no one would come out of their way to come talk to him, who would want to anyway?

"Hey there, I thought you could use one of these."

Damnit.

He turned his gaze to a girl, presumably a child of Aphrodite, who was holding a beer in her outstretched hand. "No". He turned his gaze back to the sand away from her. Most would just give up after this exchange, but clearly Aphrodite children were prone to not giving up on things they started. "What? No? I don't get a thank you at least?" He looked back up at her again, with his 'resting ice face' or at least that's what Annie called it. "Nothing? Alright. Fine. Might as well take the drink then." And by that she meant practically throwing the cup at him, for Dom however a quick flick of the wrist and the whole thing landed next to him completely frozen solid in the sand. The use of his power must've startled her because she took a step back and her left heel broke off in the sand which caused her to fall flat on her butt. Dom merely raised an eyebrow in amusement as she muttered a string of curses and stood up limping back through the sand to the party. Oh gods.

Now he was really starting to get the impression that he should leave.

Mateo watched the last of the partygoers trickle in, some of them he recognized and some of them he didn't know at all. He glanced over at Adrianna and Kalani, smiling slightly at how bubbly his new sister was. This entire experience almost felt strange for him, of course he enjoyed being surrounded by a bunch of kids his age. Somewhere along the line however, it seemed to him that they all were just really out of place. After this, where did they go? Carry on with normal lives? That became quite the challenge when you have a big neon sign above you head that reads, "IM DIFFERENT'. Matty suddenly felt blessed to be a child of Hera, she definitely knew her shit. He had labeled his abilities as 'users' considering that's pretty much what they did. When he first figured out he had the ability to make everyone do whatever he said it took him everything to not make his entire Private School bow before him. He chuckled at the thought. He just had a drive to do something, but he didn't know what yet.

His eyes trained on the group just down the table from him, he knew the guy passing out drinks was Theo, one of the older campers. Actually, the majority of them were older campers except a few. One of the boys definitely peaked his interests, he just seemed to have an air of confidence surrounding him which Matty found intriguing. Suddenly his gaze turned to Kalani, a newbie as well, as she raised a bottle excitedly in the air and called for a game of spin the bottle. Mateo smirked at the idea, he used to do this all the time back at school when all the kids would party together. It was quite possibly one of his favorite party games. He surveyed the party and decided that he probably wouldn't mind kissing half the strangers here.

Before going to join his sister and the others however he looked back at Theo and the group passing out drinks. He made his way across the table from the strange boy just as Theo slid two shots to him down the table. Mateo grabbed one of them from in front of him and downed it in a second before setting the empty shot glass back on the table. "Thanks"
He said smoothly and winked at the boy, pushing back from the table and joining the group sitting in the 'spin the bottle' circle, sitting next to Adrianna.

ImageMason watched Andy travel over to Ajax and mock him behind his back. Exactly what a normal girl would do to lightly tease her boyfriend. He'd probably turn around and give her a smooch and it'd be all 'love, love, happy couple, everybody forget I failed as a leader and boyfriend.' Still, it wasn't Mason's business. Just like it wasn't his business to tell the sweet little happy couple they weren't going to last. He didn't need foresight or to be a child of Aphrodite to know that.

The bitter thoughts came to an abrupt end when another female approached. Rather than a fiery blonde, it was an impressively dressed and done up, Adrianna. She was always a looker but tonight, she had bonus points. "I'm pretty sure parties are for having fun, Mr. Frown," had been her way of greeting him, with a peace offering being a beer. Mason took it. "Maybe we need to loosen you up."

"Okay," he began, a smile spreading across his lips, "first off your nickname generating needs work. Second, we really do and alcohol seems a good way to get there." He popped the cap off the bottle but paused before bringing it to his lips. "I mean as long as you're not trying to take advantage of me in a drunk state." Mason smirked at her and took a swig.

"Parties are also about losing inhibitions then having alcohol or that bad friend to blame it on," he added matter-of-factly and shrugged innocently. Mason overheard Kalani's spin the bottle suggestion on cue and laughed. He had called it in the beginning. "Exhibit A."

Mason paid one look to the circle gathering and saw how many awaiting and expecting eyes were on Adrianna. That was the only problem with prom queens like herself, they attracted too much attention. Still, none of them thought to physically approach her with him there. It's not like he could kill demigods with a touch, just their mortal relatives. "I don't think they're gonna start without you." He threw his head towards the circle.

Initially his mind was made on joining such a game. It wouldn't be worth the experience and he wasn't overly keen to kiss anybody and hadn't been in a long time, but somebody had advised him to make friends and people achieved that by taking part in games and activities. Plus, it had been that long maybe he forgot how to kiss and this would be good practice. Mason made his way to the circle and fell in wherever vacancy was. "Suggester spins first, right?" he said towards Kalani. There weren't a great deal many rules in spin the bottle but he was pretty sure that's how it started.

After what happened last year, Alex hadn't gotten the chance to see or speak to her best friend since they all got back, what with all the preparations for the new campers, and still coming to terms with last year. She made a mental note of seeing him soon, then took her drink from Theo. She smiled at him as a thank you.

Hearing Katlani mention Spin the Bottle had brought on a moment of nostalgia, a game she hadn't played since childhood. It made Alex move in towards the group that was slowly gathering for the game. She side glanced at the others. Mason had started to move towards the circle with Adrianna. Of course, he'd team up with Wonder Barbie. He no longer had Jenn or Daniel after all.

Daniel... she missed his lively nature. Camp still felt dead without him. If only she could have gotten the chance to say goodbye, or to at least have given him the time of day before the war. They needed this game, they needed to have fun for once. "I'm in."

Feeling her brother's eyes on her, she looked at him and began to laugh. Andy was behind him. Mocking him.

Of course his little sister wouldn't turn down the opportunity to play Spin the Bottle, especially if there was a chance to get a kiss from Duke. Hearing her laugh, he frowned, "What?" he asked, then turned around the second he felt someone behind him. He had caught Andy mocking him. "You're lucky you are cute." he told her, stroking the pad of his thumb against her soft cheek. He looked past her for a second or more, his eyes on Mason. "Will you be playing spin the bottle?" he asked in an almost whisper, then looked down at Andy.

The thought of Mason getting the chance to kiss her during a game wasn't the best image to have struck in his head. "I won't stop you if you want to." he told her. What could one kiss during an agreed game do? it was harmless fun with nothing to it. Well, at least it would mean something to some of them.

When Mason took the beer from her hand, she knew she was in. Especially once he smiled. "My nicknames may suck, but they got you to smile." Adrianna took a swig from her beer, enjoying the taste."And I'll only take advantage if you want me to. I like my guys sober normally, but I can make an exception."

Adrianna let out a soft laugh before taking a brief glance around the rest of the party. It seemed like most of the campers had arrived. She had heard Kalani talk about spin the bottle and Audrey never missed the chance at a party game. Hopefully, Mr. Mysterious next to her would join in. There was a chance, but some campers didn't like Hades's son. Being the son of the god of death can be terrifying, but Audrey wasn't worried. The last thing he would do was kill somebody at a public event. Her love of attractive men could be her downfall with this one.

Audrey could feel the eyes on her as the circle for spin the bottle grew. It was both flattering and a bit annoying. Her minor popularity at the camp was fun and being the center of attention was even better, but it can be difficult when she's trying to do something. Mason being the current something. None the less, she couldn't leave her peers waiting. Seeing her brother sit down only added to it. Mason must've picked up on it too. "I don't think they're gonna start without you." Audrey put on a playful pout. "The curse of being loved." She joked. "Why not join in? I thought parties were about 'losing inhibitions.'" Throwing his words back in his face brought a huge grin to her face. "Plus, you might get lucky." Audrey left before she could hear his response.

Adrianna sat next to her brother, making sure to sit ladylike. Flashing any of these guys was the last thing she wanted. The group was still growing, adding the Zeus siblings and a few others. Adrianna tried not to beam when she noticed Mason decided to join. Maybe tonight would go her way. Audrey leaned onto her brother, whispering in his ear. "So, who do you want to land on you?"

Dimitri didn't hesitate to follow after Lise, trying to keep in step so he wouldn't fall behind. Dimitri wished she shared her excitement at the idea of the party. All the campers looked like they were having fun as he approached. He saw Theo acting as the camp bartender. Dimitri made a mental note to go see what he was serving later. Some alcohol might do a bit of good for him, as long as he didn't drink too much.

Dimitri listened as Lise talked, nodding and making a rare comment if it felt necessary. The demigod liked to let the other campers talk and Dimitri's negativity wasn't always a great conversation starter. He liked listening to Lise talk. It was fun to watch her talk so animatedly. Dimitri always found it refreshing to find people who had such high energy like her, maybe it was partly due to balancing out his own lack of energy. Who knows?

"You know Kalani and stuff, right?" 'One of Aphrodite's children, I believe.' Dimitri thought. He noticed the dark haired girl standing over near Annie and Adrianna. He knew of the trio standing in front of him. He enjoyed their company, but he wouldn't say he was especially close with any of them. The girls were nice, Annie the most. He nodded at the group of girls, noticing a bit of sadness in Kalani's eyes when they approached. She seemed happy whenever the two interacted before, similar with Lise. He'd have to ask about that later.

Hearing about the game 'spin the bottle,' Dimitri was intrigued. He'd never played the game, but had heard of it. Callie explained it to him once when he saw it on television for the first time. On television, the game usually forced two people who liked each other but wouldn't admit it to kiss, something Dimitri never quite understood. Why force someone to kiss? It didn't sound like fun. Despite his dislike of the game, Dimitri took a seat by Lise. It didn't hurt to be involved and maybe nobody would land on him. Although, he would mind if the genius beside him landed on him. "Shall we begin?"

McKenna lingered awkwardly at the edge of the party; she could literally sense someone judging her. Probably Duke. McKenna would be lying if she said they hated each other - they did have some similarities, and deep down, McKenna was probably fond of her half-brother in some manner. However, McKenna didn't make it easy for others to like her.

"Spin the bottle anyone?" the daughter of Aphrodite - Kalani, McKenna recalled - proposed, a mischievous grin on her face. The blonde eyed the beer bottle in Kalani's hand with an attempt to disguise her disdain. She was sure that these games might seem entertaining to the others, but in all honesty, McKenna found them pointless and... disgusting, for the lack of a better term. Kissing people, the respective person being determined by a spin of an empty beer bottle? McKenna wasn't sure how anyone would find that enjoyable.

โ€œMcKenna and Duke, right?โ€ McKenna was forced to look up to the redhead who addressed her. The pains of being short. Why...... โ€œI'm Evelyn. You can call me Eve, if you're compelled to.โ€

McKenna, at first, didn't have the slightest idea why this redhead would approach her (she had a sense that this Eve was at least half a decade older than her), but on second thought, it was probably due to McKenna's half-brother, who was talking to Eve previously. โ€œUh... yes?โ€ McKenna refrained from staring Evelyn up and down with suspicion of an ulterior motive. McKenna heard that the other demigod was the daughter of Nemesis, so she could probably sense the blonde's uneasiness anyway. โ€œDo you want something, or...?โ€

Because in all seriousness, why else would someone approach a person like McKenna?

"What?" Ajax said before turning around to be faced by Andy teasing him. She couldn't help but get a cheeky grin, giggling. "You're lucky you are cute." His hand raised so that his thumb stroked her cheek. Andy leaned her head into his touch slightly.

When Ajax's gaze shifted over to Mason, Andy tried her best not to sigh and pull away. Instead, finishing off her beer. She was exhausted of the feud between her best friend and her boyfriend. She understood both sides of their animosity, but that didn't make it any easier for her being in the middle. Her gaze was drawn back to Ajax when he began speaking. "Will you be playing spin the bottle?"

Andy's gaze drifted over towards the growing group of campers, getting ready to play spin the bottle. She raised her right hand to scratch her head. "I won't stop you if you want to." Andy quirked her brow towards him, before looking back towards the crowd. She couldn't help but get a slight uneasy feeling when she saw one of the campers practically fawning over Mason. All she hoped was that those girls watch themselves, because if they hurt her best friend, she'd crack some skulls.

She cleared her throat, smiling up to Ajax. "Don't think I'm in the mood to smack lips with half of the camp tonight." Andy made her way around the bar, pouring herself one of the shots Theo was handing out. She shot the Artemis son a wink, before looking back towards Ajax. "Out of all the parties I've been to since I came to camp, I don't think I've actually enjoyed one of them." With that, she downed the shot, slamming the glass down on the bar. "So, I'm going to enjoy myself."

With that, Andy grabbed herself a fresh beer and popped the cap. "But if you wanna play, go for it." Was that the truth? Not really. The idea of other girls or guys kissing on Ajax was the last thought she wanted on her mind. But, she wasn't the type to tell anyone what they should or shouldn't do, regardless of how she feels about it. Andy walked over to Ajax, moving to her tip toes, placing a tender kiss on his cheek while patting his chest.

Drink in hand, Andy made her way towards a group of campers that were dancing near the music. As she got closer, she took a drink and started to sway her hips. She melted her way into the group, dancing and swaying with them.

Trinity nearly stopped walking all together at the comment of a date. โ€œAn official date.โ€ Well this wasn't the response that Wes wanted. His gaze fell to his feet. โ€œSounds serious.โ€ He laughed weakly, clicking his tongue in his mouth. โ€œIf I win, you be my slave for 24 hours. I know, bit of a lack of imagination on my part. But it's flexible for me.โ€

Wes nodded his head, agreeing to the terms. "Alright. You're on, tomorrow... We arm wrestle."

"Spin the bottle anyone?"

โ€œYou can go teach the freshies how it's done.โ€

Wes' brows furrowed as he looked down at Trinity. He let his arm slowly fall from her shoulders, slipping his hand back into his pocket. "I think I'm ok. Plus, I don't want it to land on my sister... That's gross."

โ€œWho knows, you might end up on Alex." Ouch. His jaw clenched tightly. Was she still holding a grudge about last years bonfire? He didn't say anything, or let his facial expression show. Instead, remaining quiet. โ€œLots of, uh, you know...'cuties' this year.โ€

Wes was left standing there kind of dumbfounded as Trinity disappeared into the party. He sighed, rubbing the back of his head. For being the son of Aphrodite, women confused the hell out of him. The fiery blonde seemed to blow so hot and cold with him, that he didn't know what to do. He couldn't help but wonder if their kiss at the end of last year was out of pity or sympathy for is injury, instead of feelings. He sighed, trying not to think about it.

He wasn't in the mood to sit in a circle and kiss a bunch of people, and Trinity was at the bar with Harley. So, Wes walked over to the snack table, grabbing a marshmallow and a stick. He then walked over towards the bonfire, sitting down on a log and got to toasting.

Sloane overheard the cheers and gathering campers preparing to play spin the bottle. She had to fight the urge not to gag at the thought. Such a dumb, pointless game that high schoolers and horny teenagers took place in. She never understood the appeal in having to kiss a random person because the bottle just happened to land on them. Sounds like a quick way to cause drama... or get the flu. Either way, she was going to stay where she was.

She had just started to get engrossed in her book once again, when she heard footsteps approaching, a little too close for comfort. Sloane looked up from her book, just then realizing she was sitting a dozen or so feet away from the guy who froze her book. But her view was quickly cut off by some evident Aphrodite daughter. What was it with Aphrodite kids and their need to go after people who wanted absolutely nothing to do with them.

"Hey there, I thought you could use one of these." The girl held out a drink towards Dom.

"No."

Sloane closed the book, holding the place with her finger. She leaned forward, peaking around the girls legs to gauge Dom's expression. When he looked away, she figured the girl would have walked away. But apparently, not.

"What? No? I don't get a thank you at least?" Sloane's gaze didn't waver when Dom gave his best resting bitch face towards the girl. "Nothing? Alright. Fine. Might as well take the drink then."

The girl went to throw the drink at him, which Sloane thought was a bit dramatic. She was half tempted to chuck her book at the back of the girl's head. That's what she would have done if a guy was treating her the way that dumb girl was treating Dom. Some people just like their alone time... How hard is that for people to understand. But before the drink could get on Dom, he froze the liquid as it hit the sand.

The whole situation obviously startled the girl. She took a step back, and Sloane's gaze fell to the girl's shoe when she heard a snap, losing her heel in the sand. Stupid mistake, most women know to put all their weight on their toes when wearing stilettos in sand and grass. But, she didn't expect the girl to completely lose her balance. Sloane squealed softly, scooting over to avoid being squished. She held up her book like it was the only thing to defend herself from collapsing Aphrodite girl.

Sloane chuckled softly, a slight curve of her mouth into a smirk as the girl limp-stomped her way over towards the party. Her gaze slowly drifted back over towards Dom, her gaze widening slightly and cheeks flushing when she made eye contact with him. She bit on her lip, opening her book back up. She wasn't able to read another sentence, before the water's current seemed to raise. It caught her attention when the cold water reached her feet. Sloane gasped, grabbing her heels in her left hand, scooting back in the sand, trying not to get wet.

"Yeah man. Straight whiskey. I'll take another round if you want a couple." Theo poured him and Sylas two shots each. Sylas smiled, reaching out to grab his shots, but before he grabbed a hold of them, another hand showed up, snagging one of them.

Sylas gaze drifted towards a very attractive man. He didn't even bother arguing when the brunette took the shot, downing it quickly while keeping intent eye contact with him. "Thanks," he said, setting the shot glass down before giving Sylas a wink.

Instead of following after him right away, Sylas leaned against the bar, watching him walk away. And was it a nice sight to see. He looked over towards Theo with a grin. "Well, I guess that's my invitation to spin the bottle." He lightly nudged Theo with his elbow. Sylas pushed off the bar and started towards the growing circle of people. "You should join... Who knows, you might get to kiss me." Sylas teased with a teasing wink.

Before joining the party, he couldn't help but sense some of the awkward animosity burrowed deep with the Hecate daughter. He didn't have to try to hard to sense it involved Mason and Ajax. He tried not to smirk out of amusement as he started to work his magic. Slowly, very slowly, he let the slightest hint of envy and jealous ooze out towards the three. Just a nudge. If he did it too quickly, it'd be evident and they'd know that it wasn't themselves. But the slow burn is almost like the effects of alcohol, unnoticeable until it's too far.

Sylas slid his hands into his pockets, slowly striding towards the spin the bottle game. Instead of seeming too overly eager or anything else, he took a spot in the circle almost directly across from the guy who stole his shot. He sat down, but couldn't help his gaze from lingering back towards the male on multiple occasions. This game was the perfect opportunity to observe... And slowly poison others with negative emotions. This was going to be fun.

As the number of participants in Kalani's little game begun to grow, as did the excitement bubbling in her chest. Ani had always been an excitable girl, but nothing got her quite as animated as parties - specifically party games. They always made things interesting. Glad to see Annie come over and sit herself down with her brother who had also just joined, Ani sends her another smile, her tongue poking out from between her teeth, something she did when she was excited.

Lise is next to come over, sitting right next to Ani, and while the smile never wavers on her face, Ani can't help but think that there's no way she's gonna get to kiss Lise now - not when she's sitting right next to her! For such an intelligent girl, Lise had been pretty oblivious to Ani's little crush on her. Lise is quickly followed by Dimitri, who she is sure to send a semi-sincere smile to, after all, he didn't know how Ani felt.

"Suggester spins first, right?" Ani is startled as a deep voice speaks to her out of nowhere. She'd never expected Mason to join, but Ani knew that he would make the game extra intriguing. Especially since Adrianna seemed to have her sights set on the guy. "Mason, I didn't realise you were a seasoned pro."
She teases, raising an eyebrow yet knowing full well that it was unlikely Mason played this game often; but who knew, the guy seemed full of surprises.

As she is about to spin the bottle, Ani's attention is caught by Wes and Trinity walking through the clearing and into the party. Of course, her big brother had never mentioned his real feelings for Trinity to Kalani - they'd only just met and were still trying to get to know each other, so their love lives never really came up - but it would take a very oblivious person, and an especially oblivious child of Aphrodite, not to see the chemistry between them. Or at least see how Wes looked at her. Attempting to catch her brother's eye as he walks over to the snack table, Ani sends him a little wave.

"Shall we begin?" Another male voice brings Ani out of her thoughts. Oh crap, she'd gotten caught up in seeing what Wes was doing she'd almost forgotten to take her turn. Laughing softly, Ani nods and turns back to the group, looking at each new member. She'd managed to draw in both old and new campers which delighted Ani, hopefully there would be some proper bonding going on tonight so that everyone got to know each other a little bit better - or at least got to know the inside of each other's mouths a little better.

Hand on the bottle, Ani gives it a strong spin, her eyes glued to it as it began to slow. Oh Gods, who was she about to kiss. Ani's heart pounded in her chest as it passed Mason, then Sylas, spinning past Niko and finally, it landed on Annie.

"Oh, easy!" Ani beams, jumping up from her seat and bounding over to where Annie sat. "Don't worry, I've been told I'm a great kisser." She giggles, leaning in to softly peck Annie's lips. She wasn't gonna go in for a full make out or anything, not with one of her closest friends. That would probably make things just a little awkward. Instead, Ani opts for a sweet little kiss, before she gives Annie a jokingly flirtatious wink and heads back to her seat.

Eyeing up the group, Ani tilts her head to the side, "Right, who's next?" She ponders, before turning to look at Lise who was sat next to her. "Guess it's you, Lee!" Clapping her hands together in glee, Ani sits back, waiting for Lise to take her turn.

Andy cleared her throat before he heard the words from her lips, "Don't think I'm in the mood to smack lips with half of the camp tonight." he couldn't help himself from smirking a little. Hearing those words from her, honestly, had been a relief. "Yeah, me neither." He told her as he began to lean on the bar with his arms, his eyes watching as she made her way to the bar on the other side, pouring herself one of the shots Theo had been handing out for everyone. "Out of all the parties I've been to since I came to camp, I don't think I've actually enjoyed one of them." it was hard to, especially with everything that they've had to endure for an entire year. Andy had lost the one person in her life that she cared most about. Her brother meant the world to her. She downed the shot, slamming the glass down on the bar. Ajax straightened his posture a little with the pads of his palms handing off the edge of the bar that's closest to him. "So, I'm going to enjoy myself." He watched as she headed over to those dancing, then seemed to blend in with them as her entire body moved with the music.

His eyes steadily slid down her entire slender frame, and as those hips of hers moved like gentle waves, he found himself swallowing firmly, causing his Adam's apple to bob. He looked around like a guilty little child trying to not get caught looking at something he shouldn't. His eyes landed back on her as he leaned his elbow on the bar this time, which slipped off as he carried on to watch, quickly recovering his fallen elbow and placing it back on the bar with a stifled cough. She looked amazing in that little outfit she had picked out for the night.

He downed a bottle of beer before heading over to her. He came up from behind, his hands slowly slipping over her hips before he gently pulled her back to him, his lips hovering near her forehead as he swayed to the music with her. He closed his eyes at the same time, his nose taking in the scent of her brunette hair. "Can I come to your cabin tonight?" he whispers, his voice deep, but gentle. He would have invited her to his, but Alex would be there after the party.

Emery, Theo, and Ajax were joined by a few people pretty quickly, first Alex, then Andy. Emery looked around while waiting, chewing slowly on a puff pastry, letting herself ease into the festive atmosphere. Camp Athens certainly knew how to party.

"So.. what do you think of Camp Athens so far? It's okay, you can be honest. If you find it shit? You can tell me." Ajax's voice caught her attention, and she swiveled back to give him her attention. "I honestly didn't like this place at first, I mean... it's a gorgeous place, but, it wasn't home. That changed. Now it feels like home."

"Oh, I wouldn't go so far as to call it home...yet," Emery mused. She'd never really thought about it before. She did have friends, and family here, but sometimes she still felt foreign and strange, uprooted as she had been time and again. "It's certainly welcoming, and a fair bit more interesting to be than most of the places I've been, though. Maybe in time this'll be a place I'm proud to call home." Maybe. If she stayed, and she never stayed anywhere for longer than a few years.

She stifled a laugh at Andy's antics, waving at her to acknowledge her presence. The faces the other girl was pulling were phenomenal.

Maybe Camp could be a place where she had friends to keep.

Theo returned with drinks, passing Emery a cup, and she pushed her thoughts away, determined to have fun even if it was just for one night. Taking a sip of her drink, she turned towards Theo as he leaned in close to whisper. "Hey, have fun. Just don't forget you have to formally introduce me to your cute redheaded friend."

He shot a meaningful look in Gwen's direction, and Emery scoffed, faking outrage. "Why, Theo. Not forward enough to make your first move, I see. Never fear - Miss St. John will find a way to make it happen."

While she was talking to Theo, some activity was happening over by the fire. A group of people gathered, and as Emery watched, Kalani jumped up to place a kiss on someone else in the circle...Emery's eyes drifted to the centre of the circle, where a bottle lay, and it clicked. This could be fun.

Still clutching her drink, Emery left Theo with Sylas, and made her way over to the circle. "Hey...I'm a little late to the beginning, hope you don't mind an extra player," she called to the group, moving to sit beside Gwen. The other campers obligingly made a space for her, and she squeezed in gratefully.

"Are we having fun tonight, Gwen? Hi, Nik," she leaned over to greet Nikolaos sitting on Gwen's other side. She turned back to Gwen, pitching her voice low. "If you had to choose someone here to kiss, who would it be?"

Something large and warm fell into Ji-hyun's arms, and he staggered backward. It wasn't until he'd helped the something upright that he realised it was Seung-min, having basically teleported right on top of Ji-hyun.

"Sorry, hyung! You know me, I'm like that. I can't believe you came all the way here little ol' me!"

Ji-hyun scoffed, reaching over to ruffle a hand through his friend's hair affectionately in response to his bright smile. "You little rascal. Of course I had to come get you. Couldn't risk you teleporting straight into the fire." He cared more for the kid than he showed, though, and the real reason was because he didn't want Seung-min going down alone. As calming as it was for Ji-hyun himself to be alone, he didn't want Seung-min feeling like there wasn't anyone at camp who cared enough to seek him out for activities. That was what Ji-hyun did - he made people feel good about themselves. No Hypnos-inherited ability there, just the goodness of his heart.

They started down the hill together, Ji-hyun strolling, Seung-min hopping. Ji-hyun let the other boy prattle on for a moment, then collected his thoughts to find a response. "My tea leaves said I should go. Well, actually my phone said I should go, but it was a sign from the universe that I ought to be at the campfire tonight. Besides, there's food, and that means I don't have to worry about dinner tonight." Okay, there was food every day, courtesy of the camp staff, but tonight's spread would probably be more interesting than normal. And Ji-hyun liked food and the warmth that the fire would no doubt bring. Maybe he could even find some marshmallows to burn to a crisp and eat anyway.

"Wait, what? No. You are not drinking. You're a child. Ohmigosh, you're seventeen. How can I let you drink? How can I answer to your parents?" Ji-hyun tried to make his voice stern, but in reality he was just trying to hold back laughter. While it wasn't exactly responsible of him to let a minor drink, he wasn't Seung-min's guardian, just his friend. As long as he kept an eye out for him...why not? Let the boy have his fun.

They reached the campfire, the other kids already milling around, and Ji-hyun made a beeline for the food table, grabbing some food and piling it on a plate. He offered it to Seung-min, taking a chip for himself. "Here. Eat some food first, then later when you drink, drink as much water as alcohol so your headache won't be as bad. I'm not going to bring you soup and biscuits in the morning, I'm too lazy, so don't regret your decisions." Well, maybe he might feel compelled to do something nice for a hungover child, but never let it be said that Ji-hyun does not do his duty as Seung-min's hyung.

"Go forth and have fun, but I'll be watching you." Ji-hyun turned his attention to the fire, where people were playing spin the bottle, and stuffed a sausage bun into his mouth, chewing as he watched. Not his scene, but fun nonetheless.

It was really good to see everyone interacting and having fun tonight, but Alex felt like it would be entirely different soon enough. This year, Alex would make herself more prepared if Hades decides to send his lackeys to finish them off. Besides enjoying to draw and paint, Alex had a knack for taking photographs. Photography had always been one of her favorite hobbies. She loved the fact that photographs are proof that once, even just for a heartbeat... everything was perfect.

Steering away from things that might not happen, Alex put her head back into the game.

"Can I go after Lise?" Alex asked Kelani. While waiting for a response, Alex glanced around. Ajax was dancing closely to Andy which caused Alex to smile. They were a really lovely couple, even if Ajax tended to pull himself from the relationship from time to time. He knew Andy was strong, but that still didn't quench his fears.

Alex could now see Mason and Adrianna flirting, then Wes, making smores. "Um... call me over when it's my turn." Alex told those who were playing, then made her way over to Wes.

She placed her hand on his shoulder gently. "Hope you don't mind if I join you for a little bit." she stepped over the log with her right leg, then swung the other over before sitting next to him, her eyes watching the flames of the fire burning at a steady pace against the pink squishy marshmallow. "Something on your mind?" he didn't have to tell her if he didn't want to, but she was there for him no matter what. She'd come to him in the middle of the night if he needed his best friend. There was no time of day that she wouldn't be there. She would do the same for Duke too, and her brother.

Theo followed his sister with his eyes to the circle of people in front of him. Her comment replayed in his head. "Why, Theo. Not forward enough to make your first move, I see. Never fear - Miss St. John will find a way to make it happen." He laughed it off like it didn't bother him any, but in all reality Theo saw it as indicative of the change in himself. A year ago he would have been more aggressive. Hell, he had been. Theo knew very well where that got him with Trinity. He had calmed down in the way he moved around people in the last year, though, and now he let things come to him. He had become a subscriber to the theory of 'if it is meant to be, it will be'.

Theo watched as another one of the new guys at camp snatched one of Sylas' shots off the table, knocking it back, and leaving with as quick as he came. The guy was clearly flirting with Sylas. Theo cocked an eyebrow at Sylas as his new friend turned back towards him, nudging him with his elbow. "Well, I guess that's my invitation to spin the bottle."

"Yeah, I bet," Theo held his suggestive gesture, as if to let Sylas know he wasn't fooling him at all by chasing the boy. "You should join... Who knows, you might get to kiss me." Theo laughed as Sylas stepped away to join the circle. He just stood there for a minute, almost to delay the inevitability of him joining the game. Looking around, he saw no other outlets for his attention that appealed to him as much as the game. Finally, as he downed his last shot, Theo shrugged and headed towards the circle. His sat down next to one his newer friends, Dimitri, patting him on the back as he slid into the niche on the unoccupied side of Dimitri. Theo looked across the circle at his sister and Gwen. Gosh she's beautiful. Theo thought as he saw the two laugh. He looked away as he saw Emery lean in and both girls survey the circle. Now all he could hope for was a lucky spin in his direction.

โ€œI couldn't even be cute with Brian and my mum when I wanted something."

Harley merely shrugged in response. She didn't care in the slightest for Trinity's adversaries. In fact, with her eyes narrowing into a suspicious slint, she was sure it was all the more fun for Harley.

Trinity pressed her tongue to her cheek processing the new information and options. In spin the bottle there was only a chance of having to kiss somebody, but in dares, there was only lunacy and a really bad charades game. Realistically she was probably one of the least charming on camp, and she refused to even mock a stereotypical popular girl from the movies. Dancing, likewise, there was a chance no one would see but she wasn't drinking enough to hit it solo or be that committed to the beat.Trinity spotted Andy dancing then and a small glint of hope dared to rise so much so that she mentally fist pumped, however, Ajax joined and she immediately wanted to melt. She wasn't third wheeling in a million years.

โ€œShit,โ€ she muttered, her fists turning to anxious balls while her thumb stroked her fingers. โ€œI choose the bottle of lip locking,โ€ she stated abruptly and shot up to her feet before she could think better of it. Trinity inhaled deeply then shook the nerves away and paced for another beer then towards the circle for the vacancy near Alex.

As it turned out, Alex left the circle as Trinity approached and she tried not to roll her eyes at her damn luck or take it personally, because it couldn't have been. Thankfully, there was a back-up and she shuffled over to Mason instead. Affection was not her strong suit. Trinity's eyes burned into the glass but the bottle regrettably wasn't a telepath. If it were, it'd not land on her until she had a few more beers at least.

Her eyes flickered to Mason who gave a small but smug smile. It took a surprising amount of restrain not to flip him off, tackle him or throw an elbow into his ribs. But it also took restraint not to look over her shoulder and check where Wes was seeing as he wasnโ€™t in the circle. But she had nothing to worry about because the bottle wouldnโ€™t land on her.

โ€œWhat brings you to this fine game?โ€ Trinity smiled tightly. Not to be mistaken for a dislike for Mason, but the game. Then things slowly started to click. โ€œOh for fu-โ€ Trinity bit her lip tightly. โ€œI'm not interfering with something here too am I?โ€

Image Adrianna caught his eye and he rolled his eyes playfully. He was sure it wouldn't be too bad, wherever the bottle may land and where it wasn't too bad it could only be better. So yes, he joined to get lucky and help lose those inhibitions.

"Mason, I didn't realise you were a seasoned pro," Kalani replied and he shrugged with a smirk.

However, seeing Alex join, Mason regretted it instantly. It could be the worse and he didn't care about the damn party or game, he wasn't going near her. Behind Alex was an equally as bad sight, Ajax and Andy having a little heat-fest. Golden boy always did get what he wanted.

Observing outside the game, he missed Kalani's and Annie's kiss, he only saw Kalani return to her seat, but he figured it must have been brief because he wasn't looking for that long. He opened his mouth to consider arguing its eligibility, but he didn't want to have to french someone he'd rather not, all to make a point. And Annie definitely seemed a delicate girl to be light with.

The daughter of Zeus was so restless, she couldn't even sit there long enough to wait for her turn before demanding a turn after Lise's spin. Mason scoffed. Everybody had to bend the rules for "queen Alex" as usual, or so she expected.

His attention shifted to Trinity and he was as surprised to see her at this circle more than she was him. He had to do a double-take.
โ€œWhat brings you to this fine game?โ€ she asked.
"The chance of kissing any one of my fine looking camp acquaintances."
โ€œOh for fu-โ€ Mason's eyes widened a little at the burst and how firmly she bit her own lip. If it had been a moment longer he was convinced she'd draw blood. โ€œI'm not interfering with something here too am I?โ€
"Trinity, there's always room for you," he promised her lowly. "You're my number one girl and I wouldn't replace you, not like others do." Mason placed his hand over hers in the sand. It might have made him lose some of his appeal and reputation with Lockwood, but he promised himself last year that he couldn't lose Trinity. He wouldn't.

All around the warrior princess was losing people, not in death but life which was worse. Mason looked over his shoulder to Alex and Wes pointedly. "You and me, we got to look out for each other and I mean that," he whispered leaning towards her. "Andy's a good girl, we both like her and count her as a friend but if we were dying in the field of battle, she'd choose Ajax. Love of her life. Ajax would sooner let you bleed out too. No one is gonna pick us. Not your brother, Wes, Theo." He gestured to the hunter that joined the circle. The dude practically had heart eyes for Gwen. Last year, Theo gave Trinity any time of day, there truly was nobody he was more committed to than his big crush, but things had evidently changed and Trinity probably saw it as one big demotion.
Elias, he didn't know a great deal about, but he couldn't see him rushing to his half-sister's aid. Preferring to fight and all.
And Wes, he was infatuated with Trinity, sure, but he could hardly save himself. And Trinity and Mason both knew he didn't need a bottle to kiss Alex.

He put his hand back on his lap, watching the bottle. "I'll always have your back."

[Isobel Logan] - [#800020] - [Mood]
She was running for her life, breath coming in ragged gasps. Her muscles ached with over use and parts of her clothes were smoking where the fire had caught her. She could feel every fibre of her being shaking but whether from fear or adrenaline she couldn't be sure. The corridor was almost never-ending and unfamiliar, cold to the touch as her fingers brushed against the walls. They came away, wet and sticky with matted blood that oozed from the ceiling and dripped down the sides. Instead of simply running she began to stumble as she felt the blood soaking her clothes; gumming her hair and slowly her movements when her feet stuck. Unsure of where she was or where she was going she came to a sudden halt as something rose before her, foul smelling and burning as it lashed out towards her. Her vision became hazy as the flames engulfed her and the sounds of her familyโ€™s death knell.

She woke, adding her own cries to that of the fading nightmare while she clawed at her bedding; twisting violently and toppling forwards to land in a heap beside her bed. Drawing in great gulps of air she paused in her struggle to assess her current situation before calming long enough to disentangle herself from the duvet. Once reality had fully set in she was able to run through her surroundings and chide herself at being spooked by a simple dream. Though certainly a rather vivid one that was more reimaging of how she had arrived here a few of weeks earlier than a mere figment of her subconscious.

Since arriving at camp time had lost all meaning, it was little more than a rising and setting of the sun for her at the moment so her grasp of how long she had been holed up was lost on her. As she climbed back onto her bed she gingerly rubbed her palm against her lower arm where the skin still felt taut. Most of her skin was sore and ached though much of the damage had certainly healed. People had come when she first arrived and had fussed over her but she couldnโ€™t remember faces or names; just the pain and screaming was all that came back to her. Since then sheโ€™d more or less remained locked in this cabin, venturing as far as the windows to peak out and strangers going about their business.

At first a woman had come in to see her several times, trying to get her to open up or speak about what had happened; even offering information to help fill in the blanks on why her home had been attacked. Theyโ€™d suggested she go out and meet the others at the camp, the place her mother had demanded she go for her own safety. A command that had failed to fully explain what danger Isobelโ€™s refusal had spelled for all she held dear. Even after the burns had more or less healed she had continued to hide, trapped both by her fear and shame. The nightmares were her penance, she supposed.

As much as she didnโ€™t want to leave her self-imposed solitude she couldnโ€™t deny that it wasnโ€™t actually going to accomplish anything and so far all sheโ€™d really achieved was to seem like a pathetic child. Well she had her reasons for how she felt and how she was dealing with events but you could apply reason to anything. That didnโ€™t mean that was the right course of action. Not sure if she was winning or losing a battle against herself, though did it matter which way it went since sheโ€™d emerge successfully on the other side anyways?

Back and forth she went as her internal discourse continued till at last hunger won out. Rubbing her hand against her forehead before letting it flop down her face she sighed and dragged herself away to shower and make an effort to be presentable. Sheโ€™d been told that today was meant to be the first proper chance for the โ€˜campersโ€™ to socialise outside of a structured schedule. She just wanted to leave this place and go home but whenever her mind lingered too much on where sheโ€™d grown up she felt as if her heart had been ripped from her chest. She knew, though how she couldnโ€™t be sure but she knew as well as she breathed that it was gone and she couldnโ€™t go back.

It didnโ€™t take her long to get ready once sheโ€™d showered; her hair was lightly towelled then brushed hurriedly so the rest would dry in the evening air. She didnโ€™t care much to what she would wear since her selection was minimal save what the camp had provided her so she settled on loose fitting jeans and a light blue sweater over a white tank-top with a pair of brown boots. Slowly running her fingers through her still damp hair she smiled as it curled around just below her shoulders. Satisfied that she didnโ€™t look a complete mess she left the sanctuary of her cabin and carefully made her way through the woods towards the beach where the others were surely gathering.

As she approached she could already here the rising sound of merriment over the crackle of burning wood. Edging nearer she could hear her blood pounding in her ears as she forced herself to relax. From what she could see most of those gathered had already broken off into pre-existing groups that she had no understanding of yet knew she wasnโ€™t party to. As she reached the refreshments she quickly picked up a couple of bottles from the cooler while the boy manning the station was otherwise occupied and scooped up an empty plate onto which she pilled a couple of burgers.

With her trove in hand she scurried away, heading further down towards the beach in an attempt to distance herself from the others for a little. Maybe this had not been the best idea but she wasnโ€™t ready to give up and run back for safety just yet. Taking a seat on the sand she sat cross-legged and gently placed the bottles down so they wouldnโ€™t fall. With her plate resting on her lap she began to tuck into one of the burgers, sighing contentedly.

After demolishing the first couple she paused and looked around her little stretch of breach. Lifting a handful of sand up she slowed her breathing and started to shape a small castle at her feet. After a few minutes it had begun to expand outwards and formed a fortress encompassing her perch complete with moat and statuesque sentries which glared impassively at the world around her. She stared out at the lapping waves which now fed the moat and returned to what remained of her pilfered food.

There was always this strange concoction of anticipation and dread with games such as spin-the-bottle. Every spin egged on by thoughts of both 'please let it land on...' and 'please don't let it land on...' There was a degree of fate (or chance, for the more realistic) that made each spin something of a thrill.

Annie hadn't played it many times before, and her last memory of it was as a teenager, with a boy whose eagerness combined with his lack of experience made for something less than pleasant.

As the bottle twirled, she hoped the best for Kalani, as she always did, and when it landed on her, she smiled knowing that Kalani would have no such issues, and nor would she. Such thoughts were reaffirmed with Ani's reaction, as the latter girl responded in a light tone,

"Oh, easy!"

Annie giggled at her 'great kisser' comment, and as Ani's lips touched Annie's own, the daughter of Apollo felt no embarrassment or concern, completely comfortable with her company and her kisser.

"Guess it's you, Lee!"

Annie leaned back slightly in her seat, looking at Lise expectantly, only for Lise to raise an eyebrow in a questioning look.

"Oh? I thought it was whomever the bottle landed on went next? I'm hardly a stickler for the rules, but I'm not a total anarchist."

She shrugged, her usual smirk reappearing on her face. "But if you insist."

Her numerous silver rings glittered in the firelight as she gave the bottle a twirl, and her smirk remained as the bottle spun once, twice, thrice, before finally landing on Trinity. Her eyes flicked up from the bottle, and she shot Trinity a flirtatious look before leaning across the bottle towards her.

"Xena, my love," She tapped her lips with her index finger, "You got something for me?"

Gwen's eyes followed the bottle as it slowed and eventually stopped on Annie. "Oh easy!" Kalani spoke and planted a quick kiss on the Annie's lips. Maybe I'm overthinking this... Gwen thought as she shifted nervously in the sand. If Kalani thought it was a breeze why couldn't she?

"Hey...I'm a little late to the beginning, hope you don't mind an extra player," Gwen looked up to the ever-graceful Emery as she squeezed into the spot next to Gwen in the sand. She was grateful to have another one of her closer friends for more support in the circle. "Are we having fun tonight, Gwen? Hi, Nik,"
Emery looked like she had more on her agenda than just playing the game and making small talk, but Gwen decided not to elaborate on her suspicions. "I was until Nik dragged me into the Satan circle. I'm not good at these things Em, I'm going to look like a beached puffer if I have to kiss anyone... a beached puffer!!" She whispered to the girl, quite aggressively. Em obviously didn't take her plea for help seriously as she let out a quiet giggle and nudged Gwen in the side. "If you had to choose someone here to kiss, who would it be?" The question completely blindsided Gwen as her cheeks burned a rosy color. "What? I don't know -" It was partially true. While she trusted Emery, she was too embarrassed to just blabber away with all the campers she found attractive, especially with one.

However, her eyes deceived her as she couldn't help but survey the circle. She didn't even notice that he had joined the circle. Her eyes lingered on Theo for a mere moment, before she realized she was staring and looked back at the sand. She had noticed the charming son of Artemis the second she had arrived at camp. On the outside he was fun and endearing, not to mention incredibly handsome. However, there was something else there that Gwen couldn't quite figure out, but she noticed it. He seemed a little strained sometimes, like he was holding a lot of stuff in, she couldn't imagine what he had gone through last year.

"Xena, my love, you got something for me?"

Lise brought her back into the moment, and she turned abruptly to Em trying to put on her best poker face. She couldn't exactly reveal to Emery that Gwen would probably want to kiss her newfound brother. Awkward, right? So she tried avoiding the subject altogether by directing it back at Emery. "That's like asking me to pick a favorite food, I can't chose. I mean, who would you pick?"

Dom watched the girl stumble through the uneven sand in her broken heel, his eyebrow still raised in a state of amusement. As his eyes followed her he noticed another girl sitting in the sand. And she was staring. At him.

She broke eye contact quickly and looked back at her book, when it clicked. The daughter of Eris, the same on he had bumped into earlier. He was slightly comforted to see he hadn't entirely damaged her book, but it looked like the universe had other plans. The tide began to pick up, and he watched as the water reached the edge of her heels startling her. She scooted a couple inches back, however, it wasn't enough to escape the tide.

He stood rather abruptly and took a couple steps towards her, and flicked his wrist. Just as the tide was about to probably soak her it froze in place. You could hear it crack as the water around her crystalized into ice, forming a U shape around her feet. "Are you alright? The tide can be pretty unruly at this time of night"
He shifted his weight back and forth, from foot to foot, this was uncharted territory for him. However, there was something about her that separated her from everyone else, if he was being honest she reminded him of himself. He didn't know whether that was a good or bad thing. "I'm Domonik. Dom"It was his attempt at starting a conversation with her, a seemingly normal one. He hoped.

He unconsciously reached out a hand to help her up, realizing his stupid mistake when his hand was already outstretched. It would've been cruel for him to take it back, but he knew she had already felt how cold his skin was earlier and was most likely repulsed. However, he left his hand out in the air, and just simply waited for her to decide to take it or not.

Mateo grinned at his sister as she came to sit next to him in the circle. "So, who do you want to land on you?" He half-smirked at her opening question, she just got straight to the point. He would've done the same if he had spoken first. At the beginning of the night he most likely would've answered that question with a, 'whoever's willing'. Very man-whorish of himself, but he knew he wasn't the only one thinking that. He treated flirting as a game, not in a conniving way, although he couldn't help if it came out that way, but rather just for fun. "Well, if everything went as planned, he should be coming to sit in this circle in just a second" He winked at Adrianna and looked back to the circle to see Sylas making his way over, his eyes trained directly on Mateo. Blunt. He liked it.

He leaned over and whispered in Adrianna's ear, "Hook. Line. And Sinker. As my father used to say" His eyes followed Slylas's as the boy boldly sat directly across from him."You're not the only one with some game sis, also don't think I don't see you trying to catch the Dark Lord's eye" He chuckled and flicked a quick glance in Mason's direction. "I'm shocked you got him over here, seemed like a real stick to me, but he is handsome. Just be careful alright? You never know with those Hades kids" He said to her quietly. He turned his gaze back to the circle, watching as Kalani went, kissing Annie innocently on the lips.

He caught Sylas's eye several times, and he couldn't help but smirk. He suddenly wished he was a child of Nemesis, he'd know exactly how to bend the luck into his favor.

Andy made quick work of the beer in her hand as she flowed with the music. When the bottle was empty, she simply conjured it away instead of having to stop to find a trash can. She closed her eyes, letting herself be taken by the music. Since the war, she's had so many heavy burdens on her shoulders that she forgot what it was like to just... Live. It was kind of liberating. She could feel the tension just roll off her shoulders as the alcohol soaked into her system. One night without inhibitions, pain and sadness.

She rocked back and forth with the campers around her, letting her body sway to the beat of the music. Andy's rhythmic movements momentarily dulled when she felt hands slide over her hips. She ran a hand back through her hair as she glanced over her shoulder to see who it was. If it was anyone other than Ajax, he would kill them. But, a soft smile graced her lips when she saw it was him as he pulled her back towards him.

Andy moved her body in sync with his, her left hand resting on top of his, sliding her fingers between his. Her body melted into his arms as they swayed together. Sometimes Andy forgot what it was like being in his arms. They both were always so consumed with other things. Ajax with the camp and herself with all her inner struggles. They rarely got to just be together and enjoy each other's presence.

"Can I come to your cabin tonight?" he asked. Ajax's voice was deep and raw, but still tender.

It took a moment for Ajax's question to actually sink it. When it did, it took everything Andy had not to stop dead in her tracks like a deer in headlights. Her heart skipped a beat, then pounded uncontrollably. She started growing lightheaded, unsure if it was from the alcohol or the question. They've gone to each others' cabins numerous times, at all hours. But, this was more than a surface level question. They've been together awhile, but their relationship hadn't reached that level yet. There were many reasons why she should have said no. But, one reason why she should say yes. Something she hadn't admitted to herself or verbalized.

Her head continued to spin, but Andy let her body lean back into his to stabilize herself without making her dizziness evident. She moved her right hand back, hooking it around his neck, curling her fingers in his hair. She slowly looked back over her shoulder, glancing up at Ajax. After exhaling, she nodded her head, whispering back, "...Yeah." Once she said it, Andy felt a wave of emotions overcome her: anxiety, excitement, fear and nausea. But, she didn't let her face show it. She just held Ajax's gaze as she danced with him.

Wes stared intently at the marshmallow stuck at the end of his stick. He didn't realize that he was kind of in a daze, and that the puffy pillow was burning until he felt a hand on his shoulder. "Hope you don't mind if I join you for a little bit."

"Not at all." He motioned for her to have a seat before pulling the stick from the fire, quickly blowing out the flames on the marshmallow. "I wanted it extra toasty," he lied, making an excuse for his daydreaming. He brought the burnt treat to his mouth, taking a bite causing the goopy white fluff to make a mess around his mouth.

"Something on your mind?" Alex asked after taking a seat beside him.

Wes finished the marshmallow, then used his thumb to wipe the sticky remnants from his mouth. "I have officially found a down side to having only one arm," he said while motioning the stick towards her. "I can't make a proper s'more. I can toast a marshmallow like no one's business, obviously," he chuckled weakly. "But you can't properly squish the melted bastard between graham crackers and chocolate with one hand. My life of campfire snacks is reduced to charred white goop on a stick... With lord knows what on it." He raised the stick towards his face, furrowing his brows as he inspected it.

After a weak laugh and shrug of his shoulders, Wes started stoking the bonfire with his stick, growing silent for a long while. He sighed. "That... And you know, the pity," he said with a nonchalant shrug of his shoulders. He kept poking the stick into the fire, not looking over at Alex. He was skirting around the truth. Not that he had any issue telling Alex anything. But, more that he didn't feel like getting into it when anyone could eavesdrop on their conversation.

His attention was drawn over towards the spin the bottle game when he heard giggling and laughter. Wes didn't realize until that moment that Trinity had joined the game, which gave him a sinking feeling in his stomach. He looked back to the fire, trying to ignore it until the next round was up. "Xena, my love. You got something for me?" He couldn't help the distasteful glare he was probably shooting towards the game. For some reason it angered him, hearing someone else call Trinity, Xena. He teasingly called her that about as much as he called her blondie. But those were his nicknames. Hearing someone else use them made his stomach turn.

Wes shoved the stick into the sand. He then removed his beanie, running his hand back through his hair. He finally looked over towards Alex, giving her a slight bump with his shoulder, attempting his best smile. "Go on back to your kissing game," he said, motioning his hand towards the spin the bottle game. "I'm fine." Wes knew he probably was overthinking things. He'd tell Alex about it later that night when they were alone or tomorrow. After all, it was a party. She should be having fun, not consoling her friend.

Sloane was ready to accept her fate with the tide. It's not like it was obscenely cold or anything, but she definitely wasn't in the mood to get wet. Just when the current was about to reach her feet, the water froze. It arched around her in the shape of a horseshoe, cracking as it turned to ice. Her jaw dropped as she sat there in the sand with her book clutched to her chest.

She looked upwards towards the tall, dark boy that froze her book. Her gaze shifted back and forth between the frozen water and him. "Are you alright? The tide can be pretty unruly at this time of night" Sloane didn't know what to say, staring up at him as he shifted back and forth. He was the first person to really talk to her since she arrived at camp... Which left her speechless and dumbfounded. "I'm Domonik. Dom"

Dom then reached his hand out towards her, presumably to help her up. She swallowed, looking between his eyes and hand. After a moment, Sloane hooked her left fingers in the back strap of her heels, then used the same hand to hold her book to her chest. She hesitantly extended her hand, placing her palm in his. Dom's skin was chilled, not cold like ice but cool like an autumn breeze, soft and refreshing. Her fingers wrapped around his hand, grasping it firmly as he helped her to her feet.

Sloane felt unbelievably short standing beside him without her heels on. She looked over at the water then back towards him. "Thanks... It's the first time I've actually been to the beach. Makes sense that it tries to eat me." She flashed him a weak smile. When she looked down, she realized she was still holding his hand. Her cheeks flushed as her gaze darted up to meet his. "I'm Sloane, she said, giving his hand an awkward shake before releasing it.

After a second, she cleared her throat, brushing loose hair behind her ears. "I don't have any nicknames... Unless you count the names some of the campers call me." Sloane quickly bit her lip. Why did she say that? That wasn't important or necessary information. She was mentally kicking herself. This is why she was antisocial. As she stood there, holding her book and shoes, she could feel eyes on her. She glanced around, most of the campers engaged in their own activities. But then she saw the broken heeled Aphrodite girl glaring at her. Sloane's brows furrowed into a distasteful, disgusted bitch face.

She must have looked particularly menacing or something, because the girl promptly scurried away, disappearing into a crowd of campers. Sloane briefly smiled to herself, before turning her attention back towards Dom. "I uh... take it you don't like parties either?" Dumb question, but she had no idea what to say. She didn't necessarily feel awkward in his presence. If anything, his social ineptness was similar to her own. She just wasn't used to really talking to anyone other than Sylas and her mother... Which isn't much to go off of.

Sylas opted for more of a backseat role in the spin the bottle game. Observing was more of his forte rather than partaking. Of course, if and when the bottle landed on him, he'd make quite a show of it. Particularly if a tantalizing brunette across the way was the fate's chosen victim. Who was he to protest? After all, it's for the sport of the game.

He leaned back, stretching his arms out behind himself to support his weight. His long legs extended before him, crossing at the ankles. Sylas didn't quite see the enjoyment in girl on girl kissing like some other males do. It didn't get him all hot and bothered. Anyone kissing was just kissing in his eyes. The only kind that got him excited was when it included himself. Plus, the kiss between Kalani and Annie was anything but steamy. Seven minutes in heaven would be more exciting than watching a bunch of girl's kissing each other like five year old school girls.

But, the one thing that continued to hold his attention was the attractive gent that he sat across from. Sylas was by no means blind, and intentionally met the guy's gaze whenever he looked towards him. Spin the bottle or not, he had every intention on pursuing that. He had plump lips that looked like the prefect specimen for kissing. And if his suggestive looks said anything, it wouldn't end at just a kiss. Not that Sylas minded... At all.

Oh boy. Another girl landed on... You guessed it, another girl. Sylas tried to keep from actually rolling his eyes, although it was tempting. As if he didn't like Lise enough, her whole demeanor about the kiss was just, bleh. So far, this was the most boring game of spin the bottle. He came for the drama... And the hot boy. Nothing even remotely close to what he wanted was happening. Of course, his face showed a different story. Half seductive glances towards the main reason he joined, and half fake amusement, pretending like he actually enjoyed this game.

"Not at all. I wanted it extra toasty," Alex's smile grew before she chuckled. She couldn't imagine her own life without one of her arms since her power came from both of them, but she admired her best friend for trying his damn best to adjust. He never gave up, and that what she was proud of him for. Headstrong, and determined. "I have officially found a downside to having only one arm," he motioned the stick towards her.

She looked at the end of the stick and smiling as she leaned back just a tiny bit to avoid being poked. "What's the downside?" she asked, her eyes then looking up at him.

"I can't make a proper s'more. I can toast a marshmallow-like no one's business, obviously, But you can't properly squish the melted bastard between graham crackers and chocolate with one hand. My life of campfire snacks is reduced to charred white goop on a stick... With lord knows what on it." He raised the stick towards his face, furrowing his brows as he inspected it.

She wrapped her hand around his wrist and made him poke himself in the nose with the end of the stick he was inspecting. Alex laughed. "I can help, but I know you. You'll do it by yourself one way or another because you never give up." Alex knew Wes was avoiding the real answer with this mini chatter of marshmallows and S'mores, but she didn't mind, and she didn't want to force him to say anything if he didn't want to.

"That... And you know, the pity," she understood where he was coming from since he didn't want anyone to feel sorry for him. She smiled with her hand on his shoulder, then lowered her hand as the kissing game grabbed his attention. She glanced over there with him and cringed a little at how that girl addressed Trinity. Wasn't Xena Wes's personal nickname for her? that was another thing Alex admired about him and Duke. Their restraint. Alex had a fiery short temper like her father and struggled to hold it back when people annoyed her. Wes removed his beanie, running his hand back through his hair then finally looked over towards Alex, giving her a slight bump with his shoulder which made her look at him. "Go on back to your kissing game," he said, motioning his hand towards the spin the bottle game. "I'm fine."

"I'll pass... truth is, I joined for one reason and one reason only." she stopped herself from saying anything else, curling in her bottom lip and holding it between her teeth as she looked down into her lap, rubbing her right thumb with her fingers. "I... I have to tell you something," he probably already knew, but it didn't hurt just letting it all out to her best friend. "I.... I'm falling in love." she confessed and leaned in closer to him. "I just... I'm scared of telling them. I don't want to like, make things awkward for them."

He honestly thought she was going to turn him down. He wouldn't have blamed her if she had, especially with what he did last year after losing his soul. He still regretted every second of it, and now he would spend his entire life making it up to her. It had been such a long time since they had each other by themselves, and Ajax was going to take complete advantage of it by enjoying every damn second with her. She was loving even with the alcohol, so he knew it wasn't just the drink making her the way she was with him.

Andy let her body lean back into his, causing him to swallow a little. He felt so strong around her, yet so weak at the same time. She made him feel vulnerable which he wouldn't usually like, or allow, but... he loved her. As she moved her right hand back, hooking it around his neck, curling her fingers in his hair, she slowly looked back over her shoulder, glancing up at him. That is when she gave him the answer he desperately wanted. They held each other's gaze as they danced.

He cupped her jaw next, slowly moving in front of her. He slid his hand away from her jaw, sliding it steadily down her arm until both his arms were now down by his sides. With his forehead to hers, and his nose almost touching her own with his eyes watching her, his breath became slightly labored. He was grinning a little to himself as his heart was racing at this point. "I love you..." he whispered.

Feeling a sense of relief when the girl took the beer, Finley's smile eases into a more genuine, and less awkward, one. Running a hand through his unkempt hair, Finley listens as she introduces herself. "Thank you for that," She begins, and Finley holds up his own beer in a sort of 'your welcome' motion, "I'm Areum, you?"

Areum, what an unusual name. He'd be sure not to forget it. "Finley," He says, pausing for a brief moment to ponder whether he should tell her his ridiculous nickname. Deciding it might be quite funny, Finley continues, "Some people call me Finn though." He laughs softly, before abruptly pausing when he realises she won't understand the joke. After all, she doesn't know who his father is. "Oh - I, um, I'm Poseidon's son." Finley goes on to explain, before chewing on his bottom lip anxiously. It was actually a little shocking to Finley how dumb he was being right now.

Attempting to be cool, or at least some what impressive, Finley holds up his beer before motioning his hand upward. Slowly, the liquid contents of the bottle rise up, coming out of the bottle in a line almost as if they were contained in a tube. Smiling at Areum, Finley then drops his hand and the beer falls back into the bottle, a couple drops splashing back up onto his face. Quickly wiping the liquid off his face, Finley's smile becomes sheepish as he realises maybe that wasn't as cool as he was hoping. "See." Finley adds, making it known he was just trying to show her that he was, indeed, a child of Poseidon.

Moving the bottle back up to his lips, Finley takes a sip, following Areum's gaze as it falls on the little gathering by the fire. Seemed like a lot of people had taken Kalani up on her spin the bottle suggestion. Finley, however, did not feel compelled to join those gathered and kiss a load of random people. Noticing Gwen sitting in the group, Finley can't help up chuckle to himself a little, of course she was - they may not have known each other for very long but it didn't take a genius to see that Gwen was by far the more outgoing of the two Poseidon children.

His sights are then shifted onto another group of campers dancing by the speaker, specifically Andy and her boyfriend. Ajax, right? Finley wasn't certain, but he seemed like an alright guy. Currently though the pair seemed to be about as close to getting frisky in the middle of a social gathering as you can get without it being too weird. Quick to look away, Finley's eyes widen ever so slightly after seeing that spectacle.

Focusing back onto Areum, Finley asks, "So, who's your godly parent?" Taking another sip, Finley shakes his head, "Actually, no, let me guess." This could be fun, unless he got it horribly wrong and she felt insulted. Oh gods. Pondering on it for a moment, Finley runs through all the demigods at camp he'd currently met, and their parent. Sure, she was beautiful enough to be a child of Aphrodite, but her demeanour betrayed, Areum was far too reserved to be the goddess' daughter. Nemesis perhaps? Finley had yet to meet one of her offspring. No. This was harder than Finley had anticipated, and now he was worried he'd put his foot in it.

Glancing over at her again, Areum's almost dreamy aura makes Finley think of a very specific God and a wry smile appears on his face. "You're definitely pretty enough to be a daughter of Aphrodite, but they're usually a little more obnoxious," Finley's gaze slips over to Kalani as he says this. It wasn't the worst trait to have, but the girl could be a bit over the top at times. "The only God that seems right would be Hypnos." Almost certain that he must be correct since no other seemed fitting, Finley's expression falls into a slightly smug, albeit still quite nervous smirk.

"Trinity, there's always room for you," Mason assured her, which was just as well because her patience was running thin with her bullshit luck. "You're my number one girl and I wouldn't replace you, not like others do."
Was she being replaced by the others? Number one girl? It felt good but empty at the same time. She glanced to his hand coming to rest on top of hers then up at him.

Rather than give him the questionable look she had intended, she was distracted by his gaze elsewhere and Trinity followed it to Wes and Alex. "You and me, we got to look out for each other and I mean that." Trinity inhaled with a prepared pain in her chest. Mase and her had had this kind of talk before. "Andy's a good girl, we both like her and count her as a friend but if we were dying in the field of battle, she'd choose Ajax. Love of her life. Ajax would sooner let you bleed out too. No one is gonna pick us. Not your brother, Wes, Theo." Hearing it verbally brought that sting back. Her gaze washed over all those that she had grown to trust and would do as good as betray her on the battlefield, and the worse part was she couldn't argue against it. Because tonight, if some beast ambushed her and cut her open, they wouldn't save her. All too absorbed in their booze and hormones and several of other people. Who would prioritize saving a daughter of Ares?

Trinity's jaw clenched, her cold gaze resting on wolf boy as her thoughts went on auto-pilot. Images flooded her head of her wounded and those 'friendly faces' passing by and leaving her there. Trinity didn't fear death but she didn't want to die alone. โ€œItโ€™s a good thing I can fight for myself then, huh?โ€ she told Mason.

"I'll always have your back."

Trinity smiled a little. โ€œThanks. And I'll have yours.โ€

Trinity was in a different world entirely that was so toxic and vivid, she was half tempted drive her knee into them and right hook them in advance. Thankfully, and of all people, Lise snapped her out of it. "Xena, my love," she was saying, leaning towards Trinity and tapped her lips with her index finger, "You got something for me?"

Trinity's eyes trailed to the bottle's neck pointing at her then back up at Lise. Of course. Why did she expect she'd get away with it? Trinity leaned into Lise and planted a firm kiss on her lips holding it there for a good few qualifying seconds before pulling away. Trinity's brows furrowed then as her own kiss, coming from a place of impatience, annoyance and some recently pent up rage, was projected on Lise's lips. โ€œWas that okay?โ€ she mumbled to the daughter of Athena.

If she was a horrible kisser, she'd prefer to know before she - if she ever kissed Wes again or if some other bottle decided to land on her. And Lise and her ego weren't the kinds to divert from the truth.

Trinity scooped up the bottle. โ€œAl!โ€ she called sharply before Kalani decided to change the rules to Lise's version of 'whoever the bottle lands on spins next'.

Alex didn't meet Trinity with the haste she hoped for. She took another swig of her drink during the interval.

โ€œJust take the spin, Trin,โ€ the devil's daughter called to her.

โ€œHurry up,โ€ another anxious player prompted.

She sighed out laying the bottle down and spun it around, eyes locked on the glass that chose who she kissed. When it came to a stop, she saw it landed on the son of Artemis. Her fists turned to balls and teeth grit. Still, Trinity leaned over, tugged Theo towards her, grabbed him in place with a hand and closed the distance with a kiss, crushing her lips on his. In time, she pulled away and gave his cheek a 'playful' pat. Such a shame he was a face that she couldn't depend on.

Trinity returned to her spot by Mason and ran her fingers through her hair and released a sigh. โ€œWell, next time I join something like this, don't let me.โ€ She went for her own beer bottle but found it was empty again. โ€œThatโ€™s my cue to go. Good luck, champ.โ€

She wasnโ€™t sure things gleamed quite so bright and wicked as her own grin in that moment. She pivotted on her heel to bear witness to the participation of Trinity in spin the bottle and shot a glance to Elias. He didn't seem the overbearing brother type, but if Harley was drawn as the bad influence or something, she had to be ready to defend herself and make her claim.

Harley didn't have to wait drastically long for her dear dare to be complete to satisfactory as the bottle landed on Trinity and she went for gold like a trooper. Harleen's brow quirked up in surprise. She supposed she might have owed Wes an apology for that since he had some significant attachment with the blonde and in no circumstance was it easy to watch your person of interest lock lips with another.

But elsewhere, there was more entertainment that awaited her. More feathers to ruffle, more shows. It was a party right? So for her own sake of sanity, she needed to lighten to mood for herself and find amusement. A guy and modest girl were giving each other eyes and their bodies were drawing closer together. Harley made a bee line for them and breezed by as if she had places to be and the other end was compellingly intriguing. As she did, she reached around one-handed and squeezed the girl's butt. The daughter of a famous deity gasped, scowled and spun on her heels and left the boy standing there dumbfounded.

Harley chuckled to herself. โ€œIโ€™m not even sorry.โ€ In fact she already felt better for it.

She took a seat in the sand and smiled watching the party. She could see herself liking it here.

โ€œUh... yes? Do you want something, or...?โ€

Her hand returned to her side. โ€œNot at the present time,โ€ Evelyn confessed easily. โ€œI just thought to introduce myself formally. But if you were busy, and my presence is a nuisance I apologize for misreading the circumstances.โ€

Evelyn held McKenna's gaze, rooted in place. Of course, Eve acknowledged she could have been a nuisance but McKenna certainly wasn't busy and there weren't a great deal of compelling others to see and talk with tonight.

A few questions started to bubble to the surface with this intriguing young soul. โ€œDo people often come to you for a favor?โ€ she inquired. Since McKenna's first response was to assume Evelyn wanted something, she thought it was fair to ask. โ€œDo you agree to them?โ€ Then, she smiled slightly, ready to ask the most intriguing question of the night. โ€œDo I look like somebody that wants or expects something from you?โ€ Evelyn searched McKenna's eyes. She was sure the girl had no reason or restrain to lie, but she was curious to hear the youngest demigod's response. Maybe Evelyn appeared as venomous and using as a daughter of Hera. Or as deceptive as a child of Khione. The open floor of honest feedback would no doubt highlight her night, not to mention give her a better sense how she came off to others. Not that she was changing that any time soon.

โ€œCan I get you a drink?โ€ Evelyn shifted over to the coolers and rose her brows expectantly towards McKenna, prepared to dunk her hand into the lucky dip of drinks that were...what...90% beer. โ€œMaybe something from home?โ€ Eve challenged.

Dom got increasingly more nervous as she looked between his eyes and his hands. What am I doing He thought miserably, and almost took his hand back when he felt the lightest-feather touch of her palm in his hand. He was shocked surprised terrified, he didn't know how he felt. Even his own father was uncomfortable with the temperature of Dom's skin, he couldn't remember the last time someone willingly didn't mind the cold. She squeezed his hand slightly and he came back to the present helping her carefully to her feet.

Dom felt unbelievably tall standing beside her. "Thanks... It's the first time I've actually been to the beach. Makes sense that it tries to eat me." He let out a low chuckle, it was quiet, but still there. He followed her gaze down to their hands, which happened to still be intertwined. Her face flushed a very pretty rose color and the tips of Dom's ears reddened slightly along with her. He hadn't even noticed they were still holding hands. "I'm Sloane"
. She gave his hand an awkward shake before releasing it, to Dom's slight disappointment. Sloane. He bounced the name a couple times around in his head. It was a Gaelic name, warrior. Even though Dom hadn't known her for more than a couple minutes he felt like it fit her well. "I don't have any nicknames... Unless you count the names some of the campers call me." He shifted footing as he recalled the murmurs around camp about the Eris children. Her brother fit in pretty well, but Sloane didn't follow in suit. He understood how she felt, there were a few choice campers that had already given him a few names. He wanted to freeze them all into statutes.

Dom could tell she was a little uncomfortable, probably due to the heaviness of her statement. He watched her eyes drift self-consciously to the other campers, one of which being the girl Dom had scared away. "I like it. Your name, I like your name. I mean, it's one of those names that doesn't need a nickname. It can hold its own." Gods. Did he forget how to speak? He mainly wanted to get her to stop focusing on the other campers, they were all ignorant anyway.

"I uh... take it you don't like parties either?" He shoved his hands into his pockets, and let out a small, short laugh. "Is it that easy to tell? I guess, I'm not doing a great job of hiding how much I don't belong here", he looked down at the sand breaking eye contact, "If I'm being honest, I've tried to talk myself into leaving several times. I don't know what's keeping me here, or I mean maybe I do now". He dug his foot in the sand slightly, why did he say that. "Why are you here? You're the first person I've meet that has brought reading material to a party" He shifted the attention back to her and smiled slightly looking down at the book he had turned into a popsicle earlier.
