Once Gwen and Annie had both gotten up from their makeshift seats in the sand, Finley began to head for the clearing, making sure to keep pace with them both as he noticed Annie begin to wobble, before realising that she actually looked incredibly drunk. Rushing around Gwen to where Annie was, Finley places a hand on her back in an attempt to steady the tipsy demigod. With a semi-amused, semi-concerned smile on his face, Finley walks like this back to where Gwen and his cabins were. Looking over at his sister, Finley shoots her a look, "You head in Gwen, I'll walk Annie back." He says, knowing full well that he couldn't simply let the daughter of Apollo stumble back to her cabin alone. He wasn't a complete dick.

As he moves Annie in the direction of her cabin, just a couple more minutes walk away, Finley calls back over his shoulder, "Night sis, I'll be waking you bright and early tomorrow." He teases, knowing that would solicit at least a small groan out of the younger girl. Finley always woke before most of the other demigods in order to go for an early swim, something he did every single day. It helped keep his mind calm and gave the boy time to think.

Not forgetting Annie who was still stuck to his side, Finley makes sure he is steadying her properly as they walk, his hand around her waist to keep her from tripping. Once they arrived at her cabin, Finley released the girl, looking down into her eyes with that same, small smile. "Try and get a good sleep," He mutters, his voice low as they were the only two within the vicinity, most of the others having already gotten themselves tucked up in bed. "And drink lots of water, you'll thank me in the morning." He chuckles, giving her shoulder a squeeze before letting go so that she is able to get up the steps that led into her new home.

With that, Finley is gone. Having watched her get in safely, he felt assured that she would be perfectly okay until the morning. Relieved, Finley finally feels the tiredness settle in his mind, fogging his thoughts ever so slightly. Finley makes it back to his own cabin quickly, kicking off his shoes and falling down into bed. He didn't bother changing out of his current outfit since it was only a t-shirt and sweats anyway; comfortable enough to sleep in.

- - -

The next morning, Finley wakes bright and early, just as he always did. Immediately throwing on his swimming trunks, he then chucks a baggy shirt on and grabs his sandals, ready to head for the lake. Before he does so, Finley makes sure to check on his sister, knocking ever so lightly on her door, he lets himself in and is greeted by the sight of the girl fast asleep, tucked up ever so snug in bed. Typically, Finley got his sister up to go swimming with him, but this morning he made an exception. She'd had a pretty full on night and Finley didn't want her to be so shattered that she couldn't participate in the days events along with the other campers.

Exiting as quietly as possible, Finley is sure not to slam the door behind him as he jumps down the steps and sets his sights, finally, on the beach. Passing the small fire pit where the party had been last night, Finley looks at where just hours prior, the whole camp had been engaged in the festivities. How different it looked in the daylight. Burnt logs lay where a once full fire was and there was no one around but a few animals, curiously inspecting the tiny pieces of food that had been dropped during the party.

Smiling to himself, Finley thinks back on talking to the new girl as he reaches the waters edge, letting the freezing water lap at his exposed toes. Slipping off his shirt and sandals, Finley's mind then turns to Annie as he laughs softly to himself about how drunk she was. Sure that she'd be embarrassed this morning, Finley made a mental note not to bring it up with her, he didn't want the girl to feel bad.

Soon, his whole lower torso his emerged in the water, becoming familiar and comfortable within the icy lake. He swims out into the centre where it is so deep his feet cannot reach the bottom, and dives down, now exposing his face to the cold. It's peaceful under the water and Finley lets himself stay there - he felt safe.

Half an hour later and Finley was still swimming, alternating between doing laps and seeing how long he could stay under the water. It capped at around 15 minutes which, while impressive, was not long enough in Finley's books; it was something he needed to work more on. It wasn't up until this point that he even thought about breakfast. Feeling his stomach rumble reminded Finley that he definitely needed to grab something to eat, especially if they were to be doing some tiring training exercises today as he believed they were.

Leaving the water, Finley almost felt sad that he couldn't spend all his time within it's depths, basking in the safety of his father's domain. But alas, he still needed sustenance. Making a quick pitstop back at his cabin, Finley switches out his trunks for some try sweatpants and pulls on some trainers, before heading back out into the early morning sun and making his way to the hall where breakfast was just about to be served.

Andy had almost worked up the courage to go outside when she heard Ajax call out to her. "Andy..." She released the doorknob, raising her hand to cover her eyes as she tried to stop the tears. "...You were just going to leave without saying anything?" He sounded confused and hurt, but then it quickly turned to defensiveness and anger. "What, so you regret last night with me? is that it?"

"What?" Andy's voiced cracked as she slowly turned to face him. Her hands clutching her things to her chest almost like her lifeline. "No, never," she assured him, shaking her head slightly "...I'm hurt." She inhaled sharply, looking up at the ceiling, hoping it would stop the tears. For so long, Andy has bottled in her feelings about... everything. But, now they were boiling up in her and she couldn't contain it.

"I will never forget last night. Being with you... I've never been so happy." Andy raised her trembling hand, wiping her eyes as she looked down at the ground. "But when I woke up in your bed," her hand clutched at her abdomen as she tried to make words. "That bed where you slept with those two sluts, while I cried myself to sleep in the med hut after trading my life for yours in the Underworld..."

As Andy continued her breathing became more labored through the sobs. "Alex... She told me you'd never forgive me if sacrificed myself. But, I did it anyways because..." She took a deep breath. "I never expected to see the light of day again... Or you. Just knowing you were alive was enough." She sniffled, wiping her eyes. "You were mad at me that night and I get it... And I got up in the morning to go to your cabin. To explain why I did it, why I couldn't let you die." Her voice cracked, the mere thought of him dying only making this all worse.

Andy's hand raised, covering her eyes as she tried to steady her ragged breathing. It was a long moment before she was able to make words again. "But... When I got there, I saw those two girls come out of your cabin. Talking about the night they spent with you... And it... it killed me." Andy leaned back against the door as her knees grew weak. She dropped the things in her hands as she slid down until she was sitting on the ground. She brought her knees to her chest, burying her face in the palms of her hands.

"You acted like it never happened," Andy's voice was muffled from behind her hands. "You never said sorry..." She inhaled a shaky breathing. "And I just slept with you in that same bed." She slowly raised her head, blood shot, teared filled eyes meeting his. "I gave you my v-virginity in that bed." Her eyes searched his face, as she searched for what to say. "I don't want to be compared to that. I don't want you to be with me while thinking of them. I.... I'm not like them."

And then she grew silent. Andy couldn't believe everything just came flooding out of her like that all at once. She has tried not to hold a grudge about it, and to put the past behind her. But it just kept gnawing at her slowly. That's why she had never been with him before last night. Every time the thought came to her head she instantly got flashbacks of those two girls and it turned her stomach. It hurt. And what hurt most about it was the fact that Ajax never apologized for it. Never told her that she is what he wanted, not them.

After the long quiet pause, her tears had finally started to run dry. Andy took a deep breath, wiping her eyes one last time before she began trying to collect her things. She wasn't able to look up or meet his gaze. Her hands robotically pulled on each of her boots, slid her arms into her cardigan and stuffed the stockings in her pocket. But no matter how much she prepared herself to leave. Andy couldn't will herself to stand and walk out.

Wes snored, his left side of his body hanging off the edge of his bed. Then there was a knock on the door. In a whirlwind, he snapped awake, startled by the knock. The jolt caused him to roll off the edge of the bed, landing on the ground with a distasteful thud. Wes sat up abruptly, holding his hand out like Jackie Chan about to karate chop someone, even though his eyes were still shut. He groaned, tightly shutting his eyes as he raised his left hand to scratch the ruffled mess that was his hair. Who in the hell could want him at this hour? He swore if it was Ani, he was gonna... Well, do something.

He slowly stumbled to his feet. His left hand extended, catching himself just before his ribs slammed into the corner of his dresser. Wes made his way towards his front door with barely open eyes. He was almost there when he looked down and realized he was only in boxers. "Dammit," he groaned shuffling back to his bedroom. To be honest, he didn't care who saw him like that... but he didn't want to scar some unprepared newbie or something.

Wes plopped his butt down on the edge of his bed, and shoved his legs into a pair of pajama pants that were on the floor. That was enough effort. It was too hot for a shirt, and he had every intention of collapsing right back on that bed the moment he was alone again. If they didn't like the view of his fully exposed stump under his right shoulder... Well? Too bad. As he made his way back to the front door, he stretched and yawned one last time. Honestly, the person could have just walked right up into his cabin, it wasn't like Wes locked his doors... Ever. Probably a bad habit, but he didn't care. If someone really felt the need to get the drop on him, then by all means.

He reached out, opening the door to the crisp cool morning air. Wes flinched when he was hit with the fresh air like an unwelcome wake up call. He squinted his eyes through the sunlight, giving his sight a moment to adjust. Then he saw her, looking like she was second guessing her decision to come to his cabin. "Trin?" Wes asked confused, still groggy and waking up. Then it kind of hit him, it wasn't often she ambushed him at his cabin. So, like a switch, he was awake and alert... Or as alert as someone like him could be. "Is everything alright?" He then took a step towards her, moving out onto the porch while extending his hand towards her. "Are you ok?" His brows furrowed showing his concern.

Sloane didn't sleep much, if at all. She spent most of her night either staring up at the ceiling or out the window, watching as the moon passed overhead and the sunrise. When she finally rolled over to check the time for the millionth time that night, she decided she could no longer stay in bed. If she was lucky enough, maybe she could get up and out of her cabin before Sylas came creeping around. That wasn't on her list of things to deal with at the present moment.

After a good stretch, Sloane made her way to the bathroom. She started the shower, adjusting the temperature until it was the perfect luke-warmth she liked. She had never been a fan of heat, or being exceptionally hot and the shower was no different. She didn't waste her time under the water, instead simply doing her business and then got out. Wrapped in a towel, Sloane made her way to her closet, staring at all of her clothes. Honestly, she hadn't worn half of it. Her mother was always the one that insisted she dressed to impress constantly. But, for the first time in a long while, Sloane didn't feel like dressing like she had a silver spoon up her butt. After all, at camp she could finally be the person she is... Or at least try.

Sloane grabbed one of the more simple outfits her mother put in her wardrobe. At least it was jeans. She got tired of how often she was in dresses or heels. She quickly got dressed, then dug to the back of her closet for a pair of sneakers. On her way out of her cabin, Sloane snatched up her bag from the night before, sliding her leather bound journal in it before throwing the strap over her shoulder. She slid on a pair of sunglasses and exited her cabin, heading to the main hall.

It must have still been fairly early when she got there. The only other person Sloane saw was Harley as she made her way towards the food. One thing she definitely needed was a strong cup of coffee. She quickly fixed herself a rather large mug and snatched up a giant muffin before heading back outside. It was too nice of a day to stay inside, even just to eat. She sipped on her drink as she walked across the field until she found a nice tree. Sloane took her bag off her shoulder and set it on the ground before she sat down with her back against the trunk of the tree.

Shockingly, Sylas had been up and at it for awhile. Instead of bothering his sister, he decided that the morning was the perfect time for him to get a little work out in before the rest of the camp was up. Sloane was never the athletic type, especially when she was instantly taken under Eris' wing as a child. Eris never cared for the physical. She could manipulate people to do her own dirty work, so she never took the time in having Sloane train in any sort of combat. Sylas, on the other hand, wanted to surpass his sister's skills in every way possible, combat included. So, from a young age he put just as much attention into his physical prowess as he did his abilities.

Once the sun crested over the sunrise, Sylas was up and dressed. Outside his cabin he stretched, before taking off for a brisk morning jog. He ran laps around the cabins, using the forest's natural terrain as obstacles. Part of him was focused on his current task, but his inner demon couldn't help but watch the cabin's expectantly... Waiting for the morning after regrets to slowly come stalking out into the morning dusk. He was itching for some drama. So far the camp has been boring in that aspect. Sylas never found meddling quite as fun unless there was some amount of truth hidden underneath it all.

He slowly rounded the main hall, noticing a few stragglers making their way out into the day. Sylas was a bit surprised at one in particular that made him double take. It had been the first time in... Awhile, that he had seen Sloane in anything that wasn't a dress. At first he wondered if she was trying to impress someone, but that would be backwards, right? Women tend to dress nice to get someone's attention, not slum it in jeans and sneakers. He let his jog die down until he was walking, making his way towards his sister. "What's with the change in attire?" He reached down, snatching up her muffin from her lap, taking a large bite.

Sloane tried to grab the muffin from him, scoffing as she leaned back against the tree giving up. "Try wearing a dress and heels everyday and see how long it lasts," she replied to him, not sparing him a glance upward as she sipped from her coffee.

"Where's your book?" he asked with a mouthful of muffin.

"I don't read all the time, Sylas."

"Uh, yeah, you do." He squatted down a few feet away from her, resting his elbows on his knees as he took another bite.

Sloane sighed, tapping her fingers against the coffee mug in her hands. "I lent it to someone, if you must know." She sideways glanced at him.

Sylas' grin was cheshire like, creepy and menacing. The hand that help the muffin, pointed its index finger towards Sloane. "So the spider is spinning its web."

"I'm not doing anything," Sloane corrected, a sharp bite in her words.

He clicked his tongue against the side of his mouth, pushing off his knees so that he was standing. "Watch yourself, sis." Sylas put the last bit of the muffin in his mouth, and balled up the wrapper in his fist. "We'reโ€”"

"Not here to make friends. Yeah, I know," Sloane interrupted him, tired of hearing the same speech everyday.

Sylas' jaw clenched as he exhaled through his nose. He pursed his lips, tossing the balled up muffin wrapper into Sloane's coffee. "You don't need friends, Sloane. They'll drag you down... Make you sympathize and care. Especially, that Khione boy. All we need is each other. Friends are liabilities." He then leaned over, whispering in his sister's ear. "Get too close to them, and I'll prove it." He backed up, making intense eye contact with her. Sylas then plastered his face with his perfected fake smile. "Enjoy your coffee, sis." Then he left as quickly as he came, jogging off back into the woods.

Once Sylas was gone, Sloane looked down at her tainted coffee. Her jaw clenched in frustration before she poured out the drink and soggy muffin wrapper in the grass beside her. She sighed, inspecting the inside of the coffee mug, then set it on the ground. What appetite Sloane had, gone now.

This girl was going to be the death of him. She made him feel things that he never felt before. He fell in love with her because he could be himself around her, didn't need to hide who he was since she accepted all of - Flaws included.

He wasn't prepared for what came next as he didn't expect her to break down in front of him like she did, but it allowed him to know where they stood with each other.

The second she slid to the ground and sat there sobbing, Ajax swallowed and furrowed his brows painfully. He crouched down to the balls of his feet in front of her as his eyes watched his strong beautiful woman crack before him. His eyes welled up as he could feel the pain she was going through. She was right. He hadn't apologized. No doubt it was too late to do it now... Plus, it wouldn't have felt genuine since he'd have said it since she brought it up, and not because he truly meant it. He was sorry, sorry for not saying it to her sooner. The guilt twisted his gut.

"Andy," he cherished and loved every letter that slipped over his tongue. He loved the way she sounded in his mouth. "I know I'm not the greatest boyfriend ever, but I love you with every part of me. You make me do and say things that I've never done before since I'm comfortable with you. I can be just who I am. I know I messed up with those girls, and I am sorry. I just... I wish I said that to you a lot sooner. What soulless I did, wasn't me.

I will never, ever, hurt you like that. I should have been a better boyfriend, I should have helped you to feel reassured. I... I am sorry that I failed you when you needed me most.

You did everything you could to save me, and I never once told you how proud of you I am. I don't want anyone else, okay? I want you. I will never think of them while in that bed with you since you're all I think about every second of the day. What can I do to make it up to you? how can I fix this?"
he asked. "Please, Andy... please give me a second chance to make it right. I won't ever leave your side again. I promise. Just... don't leave me." he begged her.

Her eyes widened in shock as he opened his cabin door, not because she didn't expect to see him obviously, more that it was too late to bolt. And he was shirtless. He was in shape. He looked good. And he was confident, unafraid to show his biggest battle scar. "Trin?"

She gave him a tight smile and rose her brows expectantly, waiting for his lagging morning mind to confirm it for himself. "Is everything alright?" He asked once it had. He took a step towards her while his hand extended towards her. "Are you ok?"

She paused. So the only reason she visited Wes at his luxurious cabin was if something was wrong. Trinity wasnโ€™t crying, she wasnโ€™t bleeding, she wasnโ€™t hurt, she didnโ€™t even have her hands balled up into frustrated fists. Somehow, the notion burned. Deserved and fair maybe, but burned. Then again, she had grown particularly anxious to see Wes and his reaction towards her. โ€œYeah!โ€ she answered abruptly getting out of her own head. Then she smiled and went on her tip toes, pointing pass Wesley's shoulder meekly to his cabin. โ€œIโ€™m actually just here to visit your little treasure trove. You're okay too, but uh...I really like your cabin.โ€

Trinity took his hand and grinned. โ€œStop fussing.โ€ The size difference of their hands seemed comical. He had like big bear paws and she was like a little cub's.

She stepped into Wes's cabin. Everything in his cabin suddenly seemed like a diamond, she didn't want to dirty things or even sit on the furniture, afraid her rough nature was enough to break it so she lingered by the doorway, just taking it all in. Besides, he might not have liked her roaming around and making herself at home. He never did it to her, not that she would have minded, but she repaid that courtesy, it just felt right. To make sure she didn't seem too awkward, she spoke, as always. โ€œBetter hide those promiscuous girl pictures and magazines, huh Sleeping Beauty? Or is it all online these days?โ€ Trinity did have an older brother so she knew what secrets lie in a young man's/boys room, even when she guessed Wes probably wasn't the type. He didn't need it. He could ask and receive but again, he wasn't the type.

Her hands came together and she cleared her throat. Trinity had marched to his cabin with a purpose and she needed to refocus on that goal. She padded carefully to the nearest table. โ€œNow correct me if I'm wrong but a certain Ken doll agreed to an arm wrestle.โ€ She rested her left elbow on the sturdy surface, hand raised awaiting his to lock in hers. Trinity bit her lip through a wicked grin.

Elias had been keeping an eye around the camp eating the food there and sipping on his beer. He ahd never really fit in anywhere he had gone, at least not for long. He tried to keep a lid on his temper, but the more he tried the harder it seemed at times. He watched his half sister spun and gave a little shake, well that was the game. You played it because you had someone you wanted to kiss. He'd just gotten there and well maybe truth or dare would have been more his speed. That could have been a good one for him if he liked a girl hed say it. Never went any more wrong than any other approach. He went back to eating the plate of food.

"Go ahead." He'd settle in and start to eat. He was generally laid back when he could keep his cool, certainly not the rowdy type well unless you got him going. A few bites in he let a little smile touch his lips as she opened up and asked him a question. "Enjoying the party?" He didn't mind if there wasn't the conversation, but he certainly wasn't one to avoid it. โ€Sure, good food, drinks, all in all pretty enjoyable. Can't say that spin the bottle is really my game of choice.โ€ A hint of amusement touched his lips as he saw her watching Trinity and shook his head. Guy should have known better.

As he nearly finished off his plate he saw Raven down half the second bottle. He was about to say something when he heard another voice โ€œHello lady and gent,โ€ Well he could wait to ask about that.โ€œGood to see you both make an appearance. Even if parties aren't our particular scene and we don't feel festive.โ€ He gave a little bit of a shrug, not really thinking much of the opinion. Raven answered though. "Who said I wasn't feeling festive?" The snip had that little bit of bite to it.

โ€œMy mistake. That's one festive activity checked. I also saw you dancing, playing spin the bottle, have a drinking competition with Elias here. You two are so rowdy and festive. Real party goers.โ€ As her hand touched his shoulder she'd feel it tense up. Not really enough to be visible, but the hand on it could certainly feel it. He didn't really mind, he enjoyed different parts of it than most and got that. โ€More to a party than just some games. For me it's all about the people. Who knows who you'll meet. There's a bit of a thrill to it.โ€ He gave a smirk to Harley as she commentedโ€œWell that was possibly the shortest game and party known to men. Now I best be off before any drunks misplace an item and point the finger in the easiest direction.โ€ He made a joking show of checking his person to make sure that she had't played some trick on him when she was there, looking over to Raven and giving her a wink.

โ€Should get going too. Gotta get up early tomorrow morning and it won't do to be out late. Sorry we didn't really have a chance to talkb good company just the same.โ€ He got up and stretched. He had been hoping for a bit more to go off of. One thing was for sure his half sister didn't need any protecting, She was tough as nails and full of fire. Heading back to the cabin, he'd settle in for a good night's rest. Early to bed early to rise.

When he got back to the cabin he was a little surprised not to see Trinity there. He could have sworn he had seen her heading up from the beach ahead of him. Must have been stopped by someone on the way back. She could take care of herself, and well shuffling all over the place was the aftermath of any party. She must have gotten swept up in it.

Raven could only grin and shake her head in response to Harley. She's one of the few people Rae actually opens up around easily to. Raven listened as the Aries kid spoke. โ€More to a party than just some games. For me it's all about the people. Who knows who you'll meet. There's a bit of a thrill to it.โ€ The words held some sense to them and Raven would halfway agree. The free drinks and food was that other half ... take that back, just the drinks. Harley's slender finger at her side popped Rae's little thought bubble. She'd admit, she's a bit ticklish but she didn't jump, just shot a joking glare her direction.

The gesture did make Raven notice the bodies leaving the beach though. Guess it was that time then. The time where everyone sleeps and she's just up doing whatever she pleases because her body is a jerk. Insomnia was a bitch. Even though Raven could feel the tired behind her eyes, her mind and body on the other hand were ready to go. โ€œWell that was possibly the shortest game and party known to men,โ€ and she was right. The party didn't go on for long but Raven also wasn't expecting much so it didn't bother her in the slightest, only that there was no more beer. โ€œNow, I best be off before any drunks misplace an item and point the finger in the easiest direction.โ€ Catching sight of the Aries kid, she couldn't help but to snicker, lifting her bottle up, tipping Harley a little salute of farewell. โ€œSee you beauts another day,โ€

With that, now there were two but not for long as the Aries kid also got up, stretching until he was ready. โ€Should get going to. Gotta get up early tomorrow morning and it won't do to be out late. Sorry we didn't really have a chance to talk Good company just the same.โ€ Raven gave the boy a soft smile and sent him off with a nod. He was good company, as far as she could tell. Now there was only one and this one wasn't looking to go back to her cabin any time soon. She swept the beach once more, taking note of some stranglers. One of them caught Raven's gaze. She was beautiful, Raven thought. There was something hypnotic about her aura that was enough to make the young demi-god's gaze linger for a few seconds longer than she intended.

Finally looking away, she emptied what was left of her drink and disposed of it. She then got up and reached around into her back pocket. Rae pulled out the small sketchbook from earlier and the little pencil that had stabbed her in the butt cheek a couple of times while sitting. Wasn't the best idea but at least the point hadn't broken off by some miracle. Raven began moving her feet, breaking off from the rest that were sure to be gone in the next five minutes or so. Closer she got to the sea, until she was a few good feet from where the tide pulled in. She sat in the sand, criss-crossed, there were many stars out tonight, they looked nice. The moon was pretty bright too, being a good source of light for what she was going to do next.

Picking up the pencil she began to sketch out the sky and stars. The sky soon turned to the sea and some time after there a was a mesmerizing sketch of what she saw through her eyes. By the time she had finished sketching her night away, Raven had four pages filled with drawings and one happened to be of the daughter of hypnos she briefly saw after the party ended. Raven decided to call it a night. It was about 2:40 in the morning and her brain and body finally was catching up to the tiredness in her eyes.

When she entered the cabin Raven briefly stopped by Dom's door. She should have just talk to him at the party but she didn't know how to be a sister. She placed her hand softly on the door. Why did she suck at this so bad? Her eyes fluttered closed for a moment but when the faint sound of ice forming on the door reached her ears, Raven pulled her hand back fast. She gave out a little sigh, she'd talk to him tomorrow for sure. Raven continued to her room where she stripped to nothing but her underwear, leaving her clothes a heap next to the bed where she climbed in, pushing her socks off with her toes once she was under warm covers.

After walking home with Wes, kalani had immediately fallen asleep once her body touched her bed and as the sun rose the girl was still bundled up in the duvet and blankets, barely visible from within their depths. Never having been a morning person, Kalani had found that she'd only become lazier since being at camp, with her own luxurious bed and sleeping quarters, Kalani made sure to appreciate them fully by spending her time there as much as possible.

Back at the orphanage she had to room with seven other girls, with eight beds all crammed into a little room it was no surprise that Kalani had never had such a good nights sleep as what she got at camp. In fact, most nights she couldn't sleep a wink, her mind to preoccupied with thoughts of her family, and her love. The man that had broken her heart for good.

Rolling over, Kalani entangles herself in the blankets so that it's near impossible to see where they begin and she ends, twisted around her legs and torso. Gods, she did not want to get up. Alas, her stomach had other ideas and as it began to gurgle, Kalani's eyes fluttered open, sighing at the thought of leaving her pit of warmth. Rubbing at the sleep in her eyes, she kicked off her covers as best she could, although the sheets still clung to her left leg. She knew that she'd never get up so long as she had their warmth for comfort.

Freeing her leg from the blankets clutches, Kalani flings her hands up into the air, stretching while a yawn escapes her lips. The only food Kalani kept in her cabin was some granola bars and chocolate - snacks for when she wanted a night to throw on a face mask and pamper herself. As she thought on it, Kalani realised that she must rope Wes into joining her one evening, grinning at the thought of her elder brother in a green face mask with cucumber slices over his eyes.

Swinging over legs over and onto the wooden floor, Kalani makes her way to the bathroom, doing the basic daily routine so that she felt comfortable enough to leave her cabin. After having splashed her face with water and quickly brushed her teeth, Kalani drags a comb through her unruly hair in an attempt to get it to cooperate. Finding that it didn't want to look nice today, Kalani huffs before grabbing a scrunchy and throwing it into a high ponytail in defeat. Whatever, she was only getting breakfast.

Not bothering to switch out of her pyjamas, Kalani simply throws a top over the sports bra that she slept in and pulls on a pair of sneakers. Makeup was not something that she could be bothered with today. Looking over her appearance in the mirror, Kalani sends herself a wink before she heads for her door, slamming it shut behind her.

Luckily for her it seemed to be a nice morning and Kalani's exposed legs didn't feel a chill. In fact, it looked as though the sun would come out in full force today, which brightened Kalani's mood as she made her way over to where Wes stayed. However, before she can get there, Kalani hears talking and slows down, recognising one of the voices as Wes'. Peering over to where his cabin was, Kalani spied Trinity standing outside his door while a shirtless Wes chatted to her. Rolling her eyes, Kalani stifles a giggle at her brother's topless antics - well that was surely one way to impress a lady. Deciding not to bother them, Kalani instead heads to the hall alone, hoping that she'd find someone to chat to on her way.

Outside the hall Kalani spots Sloane sitting under a tree, she looked peaceful and Kalani wasn't going to bother her until she saw Sylas approach his sister. Their conversation seemed nice enough, for the two oddest siblings at camp. Sylas was okay, a little pompous but nothing out of the ordinary. Sloane, however, was a little more peculiar. Nothing about her screamed 'weirdo' but the way in which she interacted with people was just, different. Not that Kalani let it stop her from attempting to befriend the girl.

In fact, Sloane was perhaps the one person that Kalani had yet to have a positive conversation with. Never feeling as if it was the right moment to approach the girl, Kalani was sure Sloane noticed her smiles and waves, but wasn't entirely sure of what the daughter of Eris though of her. Lost in her thoughts of the siblings, Kalani almost missed Sylas ball up what seemed to be a wrapper and throw it into Sloane's coffee. Frowning slightly, Kalani found herself perplexed by the action, it wasn't very brotherly of him. Kalani had just assumed the pair had a positive relationship; they spent enough time together after all.

Slipping past Sloane, Kalani makes a beeline for the coffee and grabs two mugs, filling one of the mugs with sugar and milk whilst she left the other black. Grabbing a sugar sachet and a little cup of milk, she then notices a plate of croissants and as she goes to grab one, her stomach rumbles as if in approval. Kalani then performs what almost looks like a balancing act in an attempt to carry all the items at once.

Pushing her back against the halls door, Kalani manages to make it out having only burnt her hand a little on the coffee that spilt from the mug she had made for herself. Smiling when she noticed Sloane still seated under the tree, Kalani walks over, sitting herself down next to the girl. "I got you this," She begins, placing the black coffee down in front of Sloane, making sure to put it on a flat piece of earth in order to make sure it didn't spill. "Oh and, uh, I don't know how you take your coffee so, here." Dropping the sugar sachet down next to the coffee, Kalani then places the milk next to it. Sending her a warm smile, Kalani hopes that Sloane doesn't just tell her to go away and in all honesty, even if she did, Kalani would probably stay and finish her food anyway. She didn't back down from a challenge that easily.

Breaking her croissant in half, Kalani nudges Sloane's arm with her elbow as she extends the other that holds one half, in an offering motion. Shoving the other half into her mouth and taking a large bite. "Looking forward to todays training?" Kalani questions, attempting light conversation once she had finished her mouthful. Brushing a crumb from the corner of her mouth.

It wasn't a satisfactory answer, but Emery decided to let it slide for now. A little disappointing that Gwen didn't immediately answer with Theo, but it would make trying to get them together all the more fun. Besides, that wasn't Gwen's style, to be so forward.

Good question, though. Who would you pick? The easy solution was, whoever was interested in Emery herself. Not to get all sob story about it, but Emery never really had much time to get close to any interesting people - regardless of gender - and pining for anyone was, quite frankly, dangerous. So instead of saying anything she shrugged and made a noncommittal noise. "I'm not all that enthusiastic about anyone, no offence. Happy to accept whoever I get," she returned.

The game went on while Emery watched. No one landed on her, nor did she get a chance to spin, but it was fun watching all the same. Between the excitement and the drinking, her energy level depleted faster than expected, and before she knew it people had started leaving one by one. First Theo left, then Gwen, leaving Emery sitting sitting there, more if less alone. Seeing Theo help Alex back, she felt slightly guilty - she'd promised him she would try to help him and Gwen along and she hadn't even brought his name up in conversation yet. Maybe if there was an opportunity tomorrow...

A proffered hand entered her line of sight, and Emery looked up to meet Mason's eyes. She accepted his hand, letting him pull her to her feet while she called a goodbye to Kalani's departing back. "Are you in need of an escort to your cabin?"

Emery pretended to shiver, crossing her arms in front of her. "My knight in shining armour. I'd be so terrified of what lurks in the dark forest if you weren't here." She dropped her arms, giggling. Okay, maybe she was a little tipsy after all. Happens to the best of them. "You don't have to if you don't want to, but a walk up the hill together would be nice." Without waiting for his response, she gathered her trash and started up the path towards the hill.

"I was wondering too... I didn't really expect to see you there, so who'd you join for?" Emery shrugged again, tossing her now-empty cutlery into a nearby trash can. "I didn't really have anyone in mind," she admitted. "Just joined for a bit of fun. Although if you know anyone that's interested in me you should let me know, I could have a little fun while I'm here at camp."

The path back to her cabin was shorter than she remembered, or maybe she'd just been bouncing along in alcohol-induced bliss, because the pair of them reached her cabin pretty quickly. Emery turned back at the door, leaning against the frame to face Mason. "Thanks for protecting me from lions, tigers, and bears, oh my," she teased, reaching forward to place a hand on Mason's shoulder. "You're a good egg." Patting his shoulder clumsily, she opened the cabin door and all but stumbled inside. "Goodnight!" Oh yeah, she'd had a bit to drink, alright. But it wasn't nothing a demigod couldn't handle with a good night's sleep.

Image

Emery's eyes popped open, same way they always did every morning, about ten seconds before her alarm rang. The first thing she was aware of was that her mouth was dry, a searing desert that extended all the way down her throat. The next thing she realised was that she was hungover. "Fuck," she tried to say, instead managing little more than a strangled wheeze.

Rolling out of bed, she strode over to the tap, filling a glass and emptying it down her throat. She had to drink twice more before her throat felt like anything resembling its state before the party last night, but at least it didn't hurt so much anymore.

Thankful that she'd at least had the sense to change out of her clothes before crashing, she washed up and changed, pulling a thin sweater over her shoulders before heading out the door to the dining area. Not many people were around yet, and those who were looked like they might still be managing last night's effects, so Emery found herself some toast and a cup of coffee, and slid into a seat in a corner, choosing instead to go through social media on her phone instead. Later would be action enough, what with the planned activity, but for now she would take all the quiet she could get.

Inconstant, my ass. Seung-min was a bloody metronome - but Ji-hyun wasn't complaining. At least they were both having a good time. Still cradling the plate of food he'd scored, he opted to stand and watch instead of inserting himself into anything.

The time passed fairly quickly, and, convinced that the younger boy didn't need watching, Ji-hyun had walked a few circuits around the entire area, downing more food and approximately three bottles of cider in the meantime. Eventually, people started heading back, and Ji-hyun figured that was his cue. He hadn't made any significant contact with any of the other campers - except for maybe Seung-min - and while that in itself was disappointing, it wasn't stressful at all.

Before he left, he snagged another bottle of alcohol, holding its cool neck gently between his pale fingers. Humming quietly to himself, he began the trek back to his cabin, where he planned to lie in bed and read, maybe catch a few hours of sleep. It'd been a good evening.

Image

The morning dawned bright and early to find Ji-hyun curled up in bed, reading. This particular novel was pretty heavy, almost a tome by Ji-hyun's reckoning, so he was lying on his side, unmoving save for occasionally turning a page. He'd been reading most of the night, sleeping for maybe a few hours before getting up again to read some more. Having nothing better to do, when he first came to camp he'd brought his tiny book collection, just so he'd have something to entertain himself with instead of turning to - shudder - physical activity. What a nightmare.

It was still early, though. He could relax a while longer before going down to breakfast. He wasn't much inclined to run around looking for a flag just yet.

Image "For a self proclaimed dick, you're quite the gentleman." Mason frowned. He never called or thought himself a dick directly. Sure he knew he was rough around the edges and other people thought he was a dick but... a thank you probably would have sufficed from Kalani. Maybe that one 'I hate everyone equally' comment had painted that picture. Andy and Trinity would have just laughed. Andy would probably bump him and tell him to lighten up and Trinity would nod and probably chime 'me too.' "Oh and by the way, I've never had that happen to me," she answered. "I'm pretty good at getting what I want." She winked and spun on her heel. Yes, the spoiled children of Aphrodite were. "See ya Mason."
"See ya, Ani."

His dialogue with Emery was no better, the small brunette turning into a mini sass queen. "My knight in shining armour. I'd be so terrified of what lurks in the dark forest if you weren't here." She giggled. This is what he got for being nice. "You don't have to if you don't want to, but a walk up the hill together would be nice." Mason fell in step with Emery as his answer. He wouldn't have risked offering if he didn't want to go a step further with the daughter of Artemis.

To his last question, she began to answer, "I didn't really have anyone in mind. Just joined for a bit of fun. Although if you know anyone that's interested in me you should let me know, I could have a little fun while I'm here at camp."
Mason grinned. "Is fun code for fling in this instance?" He guessed in her slightly more scrambled brain it was. "Don't worry, I'll let you know. I'm very 'in the loop'."

When they reached her cabin, Emery turned and leaned against the doorframe to face him. "Thanks for protecting me from lions, tigers, and bears, oh my," she said and Mason smiled sadly. He hoped she didn't feel the less pleasurable effects of alcohol in the morning. "You're a good egg," she concluded, throwing her hand lazily into his shoulder or something like that, and afterwards stumbling into her cabin. Mason lurched forward to help but she had enough composure to give a final, "Goodnight!" call and to shut the door behind her.

He let himself laugh quietly and headed back to his cabin. He must've sat up in bed for a couple more hours at least. Not doing anything really except waiting for his mind to go blank and sleep to take him. Mason didn't have nightmares anymore but he was afraid of them.

____________________________________________________________________

When he finally convinced himself to get up, the next conviction was much more of a press. That being to get out of his cabin and his stomach argued that point largely. He sighed out letting the need for food win again but not before getting changed. If throwing on the closest shirt and whatever slacks counted.

On his way to the hall, Mason spotted a girl on her own lapping up the sunshine and fresh air. He couldnโ€™t recall her name regrettably but she was eye capturing without trying to be. She never made a scene of herself and he knew little about her, except that he was intrigued by her. Keep walking, keep walking, he told himself. Mason kept watching her. Then there was no mental tear about it as Kalani approached her instead. He'd have to high-five the girl or something at some stage for making the decision easier.

In the dining area, there were a few odd bodies already in place, including Emery, feigning interest on her phone, a clever avoidance technique from conversation, and Harley. He sighed out and found his own seat.

Image They shook hands firmly which gave the girl some brownie points with Duke. But just as easily, things took a turn. He jolted in attempt to catch her but the mini collision had already happened and been resolved just as quickly before he could respond.
โ€Ah, sorry! Sands a smidge wetter than I thought there.โ€ He only smiled and shook his head to communicate no harm was done, unlike the effect on her castle and statues. Maybe he should have apologized. โ€Thanks, I've always had a talent for sculpture. It's no so much the crowds, nor the parties ye ken. It's just been a lot to take in, lot to go through. And I divent know who people is.โ€ He gave a nonchalant gesture as he found himself trying to repair and rebuild her castle wall. โ€Given who we are. A suppose we've all lost stuff afore we come here, maybe thatโ€™s why we're sent here. Soes them we love don't find themselves in the crossfire.โ€

He sighed out. "I think the point of a party," he emphasized to keep their topics less soul bearing, but in no way ignoring the girl's observation of why half of them were there, "aside from an excuse to drink, is to meet people and, uh...what do people say? Let down their hair?" He furrowed his brows. All those snazzy expressions and lingos weren't his territory.

โ€Ye must think I'm an idiot. A wee lass playing in the sand on 'er own.โ€ Duke laughed. Not in a cruel way though. He had to admit, many people of their demographic didn't play in the sand alone or at a party but he didn't think that made her an idiot. โ€Seems we're nearing the last still out, party must be coming to a close. Time for us to head back?โ€

Duke glanced over his shoulder. And so the party was, but the dying fire and party couldn't hold his attention. "Different is good. And you can head back..." he begun, palming over a heap of sand to start his own castle "whenever you like." Duke raised his hand towards the bonfire, giving it new life and passion to light up the beach for them once again. He grinned towards fire then his company. "So for reference do I call you wee lass or do you have a real name?"

It took some time for Duke to project his vision on his castle, especially working with something as small and delicate as grains of sand that fell through his hand or off the sides, but he made it work eventually. Once his task was complete, he climbed to his feet and offered the girl a hand up and walked her to cabin, bid her goodnight then went to his cabin for the night.

____________________________________________

It had crossed his mind in the morning to knock on McKenna's door and ask her if she wanted to grab some breakfast together, but he thought it best to leave her be. She could have already been engaged and committed in an experiment, her work or simply enjoying a sleep-in.

Duke kept walking and stumbled upon no other than Alex. Doing a workout by the looks of things, using a limb of a tree to pull herself up. "You got to engage your core," he said and automatically held his as demonstration. "Don't pull up on momentum, pull up with these."

"Andy," Ajax said softly towards her. Andy slowly raised her head, using the sleeve of her cardigan to wipe her eyes.

"I will never, ever, hurt you like that. I should have been a better boyfriend, I should have helped you to feel reassured. I... I am sorry that I failed you when you needed me most.

"You did everything you could to save me, and I never once told you how proud of you I am. I don't want anyone else, okay? I want you. I will never think of them while in that bed with you since you're all I think about every second of the day. What can I do to make it up to you? how can I fix this?"
Andy held his gaze, her hands covering her mouth. Her fingers curled around the cuffs of her cardigan, hiding her hands behind the fabric. She didn't have a black and white answer to that question. It wasn't that simple.

"Please, Andy... please give me a second chance to make it right. I won't ever leave your side again. I promise. Just... don't leave me," he begged, sounding terrified that she'd get up and walk right out that door without turning back.

She frowned behind her hands. "Ajax..." Andy sighed. "I'm not leaving you," she reassured him, holding his gaze as spoke. "I'm just exhausted... I'm so tired of hurting. The guilt of Daniel's death weighs so heavily on me that I feel like I'm suffocating, all the time. I barely sleep because of the reoccurring nightmares of the Underworld." Her gaze falls to her hands in her lap as she breathes heavily, sniffing back the tears. She'd never really talked about everything she was going through internally, instead just bearing it without burdening others.

"And, I just need my boyfriend," Andy's voice cracked. "I put on a brave face for everyone... I just need someone that I don't have to be brave around all the time. I hurt constantly, and I don't want to hurt around you too." Leave it to Andy to ruin just about the most normal, coming of age experience in her life.

She was overwhelmed and couldn't hold it in, or keep it to herself anymore. Training and fighting was an outlet for her for such a long time, that even her body couldn't handle the torment she was putting herself through. Andy was constantly covered in bruises and awake way more than she ever slept. She was exhausted, emotionally and physically. She's been tip toeing around for so long, hoping that if she pretended her life was fine, eventually it would be. Andy didn't want everything to come boiling to the surface like it did, or when it did. But it seemed that just the thought of those girls tipped her over the edge.

"I just need one thing in my life... to work out," Andy whispered under her breath, practically begging. She didn't necessarily say this to Ajax, but more to herself and the Gods and fate. Her gaze was fixated on her hands as her fingers tugged at her cardigan in her lap.

โ€œYeah!โ€ Trinity said abruptly, making Wes do a slight double take. She then moved to her tiptoes and pointed to the interior of his cabin. โ€œIโ€™m actually just here to visit your little treasure trove. You're okay too, but uh... I really like your cabin.โ€

"Thanks?" Wes said with a bit of apprehension. "So... You came to my cabin at the ass crack of dawn to... admire it?" He questioned, not really believing that that was her entire motive for popping up at his place. Honestly, he couldn't even remember if she had been to his new cabin. The Hydra destroyed his original one... And then for the longest while, he crashed at her cabin. Then the med hut was his home... And then she went home to see family. So yeah, not much time to get a tour or anything.

Trinity took his outstretched hand with a smile. โ€œStop fussing.โ€

Wes smiled softly while shaking his head. "Yes ma'am." After she stepped into his cabin, Wes hooked his right foot around the door and pushed it shut. He sighed, shrugging his shoulders. "So yeah, this is my cabin... Well, my second cabin," he corrected.

โ€œBetter hide those promiscuous girl pictures and magazines, huh Sleeping Beauty? Or is it all online these days?โ€

Wes scoffed and then chuckled softly. He motioned his hand towards his cabin. "By all means, Nancy Drew... If you find something, I think I'd be as surprised as you would be." There are many reasons why Wes wouldn't have stuff like that in his cabin, but he didn't feel the need to list that to her. Instead, just going along with her joke. "Unless it was Andy's idea of a joke when she made this bad boy for me." His hand patted the wall like a proud owner would showcase a sports car.

Trinity brought her hands together and cleared her throat, catching Wes' attention. He turned slightly to face her with a raised brow. He watched her as she made her way to the nearest table. โ€œNow correct me if I'm wrong but a certain Ken doll agreed to an arm wrestle.โ€ She was waiting and ready with her left hand opened for his. He laughed as she tried to bite back the mischievous grin on her face... Wasn't working.

"And so the true motive presents itself," Wes laughed, as he slowly walked over to the table. He grabbed the chair spinning it around. He let his legs slide to either side of the seat, sitting backwards in the chair. "Are you trying to stack the odds in your favor by ambushing a sleeping man in the morning?" He cocked his head to the side. Wes then placed his left elbow on the table and took her hand in his. "You must be really worried that I'll win."

To the unknown viewer, this arm wrestle looked severely unbalanced. Wes had nine inches on Trinity in just height. Not to mention that his bicep was nearly three times the size of her own, and his hand seemed to just about swallow hers. But Ares kids were also crazy strong. This would probably be the most evenly balanced arm wrestle Trinity would ever experience... Other than going against her brother. Wes wasn't too worried about losing... Being Trinity's slave couldn't be that bad. Simply because she wasn't mean enough to make him do something too degrading. But, he still wanted to win. The idea of a date with her was almost too good to be true.

"On your count, Blondie." Wes smiled towards Trin, tapping the tips of his fingers against her hand.

Sloane sighed, watching her brother run off into the woods. Alone again, she let the tension fade away. She began slowly braiding her dark hair to the right side. As she tied the end of it, she looked up feeling eyes on her. Mason Hughson was heading toward the main hall, but unmistakably staring right at her. Sloane's brows furrowed slightly out of curiosity. Why was he looking at her? Most people just moved on without sparing her a glance... Kind of like she wasn't there. Did the Hades boy even know her name? Not likely.

Her attention was quickly drawn in a different direction when she heard approaching footsteps. Sloane didn't say anything as Kalani made herself at home, taking a seat beside her. Sloane had half a mind to scoot away slightly but that's where she poured out her coffee not five minutes earlier. "I got you this," Ani said as she set the mug of black coffee on the ground in front of her. Sloane felt herself instantly go rigid, scared to make eye contact with the Aphrodite girl. What all had she seen between her and Sylas? Did she hear anything? If she hear anything... Sloane was dead meat.

"Oh and, uh, I don't know how you take your coffee so, here." Ani then set down some sugar packets and milk next to the coffee.

Sloane just sat there quiet for a long moment, then finally reached forward and grabbed the mug of coffee. "Uh... Black," she said quietly, bringing the drink to her lips. Before she took a sip, she spared Ani a slight sideways glance. "Thanks."

Kalani then took her croissant and broke it in half, offering Sloane a piece. "I uh... Lost my appetite," was all she could manage to say. She appreciated the gesture but instead just went back to sipping on her drink, hoping it would wake her up soon enough.

"Looking forward to todays training?"

Sloane tapped her fingers along the coffee mug. "Not really." She took another drink, watching as more campers slowly started filing out of the woods and wondering towards the main hall. "I can't fight." That was the plain and simple truth of it. Sloane had better luck trying to find a dragon rather than fighting anyone. She was small, awkward and had virtually no muscle mass. So, she wasn't really what warriors are made of.

As Sylas finished another lap around the cabins, he slowed down seeing that his sister had new company. He couldn't help but roll his eyes slightly. He looked towards the main hall, and decided he probably should eat something. If there was a training exercise that day, he'd need energy. He stepped through the threshold, scanning the few bodies that were already inside. None really interested him... Until he saw Mason sitting by himself.

Sylas grabbed him self a bowl of assorted fruit and an orange juice, then walked over towards the Hades kid. "Hey man," he greeted Mason, raising his juice. "I've been actually meaning to catch up with you. Mind if I sit?" Before he got an answer, he made himself at home, taking the place across the table from his company. Sylas took a couple minutes to get some food into his system before getting down to what he wanted to talk about.

"It's kind of crazy how fast word travels around camp. And I thought High School was bad," Sylas scoffed, tossing a grape into his mouth. "Nothing is ever secret here, is it? I mean, I've been here what... two weeks? And I already know about everything that happened last year, and I wasn't even here." At this point it probably didn't seem like Sylas was going to reach a point, but he was. Everything he did had a purpose. Mason was a formidable guy, with a strong hatred towards the Valises. That definitely peaked Sylas' interest.

"I mean, damn... Some of the shit you all went through, I can't imagine." Sylas allowed his tone to drop to a more somber and sympathetic level. "... I heard about your sister. That's rough, man. I'm sorry. If someone killed Sloane," he sighed, shaking his head. "I don't know what I'd do. I wouldn't be able to rest until I got revenge." A lie. If Sloane died, Sylas would see it as an opportunity to be the favorite in his mother's eyes. "Like who the hell does Alex think she is?" Sylas asked in a whisper, but a sharp bite hung on every word. "A murderer is allowed to walk around camp like royalty, while your sister is in the ground!?... That's fucked up." He shook his head as he ate another grape.

The entire time Sylas talked, he let just enough anger, animosity and sorrow flow from himself and into Mason. After all, he didn't want to make the guy a raging mess. If he could just say the right things, Mason could be a strong friend to have at camp. So, the guy wanted to take down the Valises? Sylas could help... In more ways than Mason understood just yet. But given enough time, he could prove his worth. Eris children definitely shouldn't be overlooked or under estimated.

"But the thing I don't get is... How in the fuck is Andy with Ajax and not you?" Sylas took a long drink from his orange juice before continuing. "She has saved Ajax's life how many times? But, you were the one that saved hers. And she went home with him last night, not you. Makes no sense. I mean, it's obvious you both belong together... " He sighed softly, leaning back in his seat. "I don't get it... How have you not killed them yet?"

Sylas didn't need to say who he met, it was obvious he was talking about the Valises. You couldn't kill one without the other coming after you with a vengeance. Kill Alex, and Mason would get revenge for his sister. Kill Ajax, he knocks another self righteous prick off the face of the world and frees up the girl. It was a win win situation in Sylas' books.

"Sorry to get deep," Sylas apologized, dusting his hands off on his pants. "I just had to try to make sense of some of this shit. Because I tell ya, it makes no sense to me. I'm on your side, dude."

Son of Apollo

After an uneventful night of not really socializing, the brunet boy decided it'd be best for him to disappear from the scene and go to bed. Not before he fiddled around with one of the instruments that lied around his room. His blue eyes seemed to be intrigued by each of the things, but eventually the male drifted off to a peaceful slumber.

Image

Waking up in last night's outfit, Nikolaos yawned. His eyes a pale green coloring as he stared around his room. A mess it was, he would begin tidying around. He didn't mind a mess, but a lot of it was....well hard to deal with for him. He would hum as he did, and make his bed. His hair an unruly mess, taking a hand through his hair he would flatten it down. He would then get dressed in a different outfit. He often borrowed clothing from his siblings, because he was well.....odd to most. Grabbing a book off the tiny bookshelf he kept in his room, he'd take another look over his room. He would smile, happy with his room and his look, he'd walk out and knock lightly at Annie's door, just in case she was asleep.

The boy made his way out of the Apollo cabin and would walk towards the main hall. He was hungry, hungry for Cocoa Puffs.

Entering the Main Hall, he saw a majority of the campers up and about. He would simply grab himself the small bowl of cereal, a carton of chocolate milk, and sit down by his lonesome. He didn't mind that though, on occasion Gwen sat it with him, but when she didn't he'd often read. He'd take out the one book he always loved, the Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. He'd open the book to the first page and silently begin reading eating his cereal.

Her eyes caught a familiar face, sitting out in the sun by a not-so-familiar one, and she smiled slightly as she walked towards them.

XX"Morning, Ani!" She looked to Kalani's aforementioned company, and smiled softly. She had never spoken to the girl before, largely because Annie got the sense that she was type who enjoyed keeping to herself, but considering that she seemed to be somewhat friendly with Annie's closest friend on camp, Annie saw no reason now not to extend her own offer of amity.

As he made his way to the hall, Finley spotted Annie and Kalani seated under the shade of a tree just outside the entrance, however as he acknowledged them, Finley notices another slightly more unfamiliar face in their midst. Sloane, Annie and Kalani? Now there was a weird group of people. Two of the bubbliest girls at camp seated with perhaps the least talkative, somehow even less than Finley himself - which was not an easy feat.

Passing the girls, Finley's eye catches Annie's and he sends her a wink, in a 'remember last night' type of way. He didn't want her to feel embarrassed but he also knew he couldn't not acknowledge it. Especially after what she had said to him. Finley wasn't sure whether Annie knew he was part Korean, but he figured not since he doubted she would have said what she did to him, knowing he could understand her; although she did seem extremely tipsy so who knows. It would be easy to assume Finley couldn't understand Korean, especially since he grew up in Australia, but despite that his mother's roots were in South Korea, where her grandparents used to live and she thought it was important to make sure her son learnt his native tongue.

Finley wanted to stop and talk to the daughter of Apollo, but his stomach had other ideas. Figuring if they were gonna talk about it, he probably shouldn't be constantly making questionable noises resonating from his stomach, Finley heads into the hall, his face lighting up at the sight of the food. The camp always had an amazing spread and Finley was instantly drawn toward it, grabbing himself a bowl and goes for the fruit. Having a preference for healthy foods over sweet stuff, Finley makes sure to sample a little of everything they have to offer until his bowl was filled with different fruits, not forgetting to grab himself a fork while he's at it.

Glancing around the hall, Finley's eyes finally land on Nik and with a relieved smile, he makes his way over to his friend, placing his bowl down opposite him. "Morning," He greets Nik, taking a seat, "How are you?" Finley asks as he tucks into his fruit, noticing the book in Nik's hand. "Oh man, sorry am I disturbing you?" He continues, concerned that he just disrupted Nik's wanted solitude. Attempting to scan the area for another seat if Nik wanted to be left on his own, Finley glances back over at the door, his eyes on the back of Annie's head, watching as she chats with the other girls. Wait, Finley realises, Nik is her brother. Wanting to ask the guy more about his sister, Finley decides to stay where he is for now. This could be useful.

Coyly turning back to face the son of Apollo, Finley fiddles with his fork, pushing the fruit around in his bowl. "So, uh," He continues, somehow nervous around his friend all of a sudden, "Annie's..Nice isn't she?" What the hell was he saying, Gods he must seem like a complete idiot to Nik now. Of course he thinks she's nice, he's her damn brother. "Do you think.." Finley begins but is unable to finish his sentence, he wanted to ask if she was interested in him, or whether it was just a drunken moment. Unfortunately Finley's nerves get the best of him and he can't continue, sheepishly looking up at Nik with a small smile. "Do you think I could borrow that book when you're done?" Finley finishes, completely shifting the conversation in an attempt to brush off his previous awkwardness.

Gwen stretched nearly falling off the side of her bed as she let out a small groan. Although she hadn't drank the night before she was still a bit tired from the party. She rolled to her side and checked her alarm clock, it was already eight. She frowned slightly, Finn must've gone for a swam without her. Granted, she was a bit grateful that he hadn't woke her she rather enjoyed the extra hour of sleep.

She eventually willed herself to move and shuffled to her closet picking out a rather cosy cable-knit sweater and slipped on her tan birks. She left the cabin walking down the gravelly path towards the hall where they always served food. She normally spent a couple hours in the morning swimming but her hunger was greater than her longing to swim.

When she entered the hall she saw a few familiar faces, Em, Nik, and her brother. His hair was slightly curled from his apparent morning swim, and he was talking to Nik. It was a strange sight, she hadn't seen her brother approach the shy but sweet boy before. She raised a slight eyebrow a little curious but nonetheless happy Finn was expanding his friend horizon. She waved at him and Nik as she passed, offering them both a lazy smile.

She made her way over to the breakfast that was in a buffet style. Her stomach rumbled quietly as the smell of cinnamon French toast and pancakes wafted her way. Gwen couldn't deny the fact that she had a bad sweet tooth, and filled her plate with pancakes and some grapes. She contemplated going to sit with her brother but he seemed pretty invested in his conversation with Nik so she steered towards Em's table instead. "Hey stranger"
Gwen said with a smile, plopping down in the seat opposite from Em popping a grape into her mouth. "Sorry about disappearing pretty fast last night , I got pretty tired and Finn was ready to head back".

Dom was up before the sun even had a chance to rise. He always got extra early in the morning, he enjoyed the part of sunrise where everything was just very quiet. Dom also found that the woods surrounding the camp had the perfect path for a jog. He took this time to jog around the campus, there was nothing he loved more than listening to the sound of the life around him wake up in the morning. As he jogged through the thick forest, the sun just barely peeking up from the horizon, the birds started to faintly chirp and he could practically hear the forest breathe itself awake.

After his short morning warm up, he took a quick (cold) shower, and threw on a collared shirt and some jeans. He thought to wake Raven, he contemplated the idea for a moment, it seemed like a nice gesture but he eventually was hesitant enough and decided against it. Before leaving the cabin however, he snatched the book off of his nightstand and took it with him on his way to the dining hall.

As he got closer he noticed Sloane and stopped for a moment a little lost in thought. She seemed different today, her clothes especially were a definite shift from last night but the look altogether seemed a lot more Sloane. He took a step to approach her but then he noticed Ani dash in her direction and begin to strike up a conversation. Of course, he thought to himself, I mean I only talked to her once, I can't just assume that we're the best of friends. He sheepishly took a step back and headed towards the hall again and was greeted with a few familiar faces. He made his way over to a table with an assortment of fruit and grabbed an apple before finding a secluded table in the corner and made himself comfortable. He took a bite out of the apple and flipped the page, investing himself into the book and drowned out the noises of the dining hall as he ate.

Matty nearly smashed his alarm clock when the damn thing started blaring at seven in the morning. He groaned shuffling around in his blankets for a bit before managing to roll himself out of bed, his head pounding with a killer headache. He rubbed his eyes, praying that they weren't too terribly puffy, and popped about six aspirins as he marched himself into the bathroom succumbing to a long and scalding hot shower. He pretty much moved subconsciously through his morning routine the motions ingrained into his mind. He settled on a rather neutral but classy outfit, throwing a pair of shades on top of his head as well.

He shuffled slowly through the cabin pausing at his sister's door to knock on it softly. He hoped she didn't have too bad of a hangover. "Sis, I'm going to get breakfast"
He paused mid-sentence to yawn, "you know where to find me".

He made his way across the grounds of the camp, a few of the others awakening around the same time as well. As he got closer the tempting smell of bacon and buttered toast made him quicken his pace as he entered the doors to the dining hall. His eyes immediately sprung to the man-candy that had captured his eyes last night, he was currently chatting with the Hades Kid. How odd. Matty could tell Sylas liked a widened playing field when it came to the other campers, he appreciated it.

He noticed he had caught the eye of some Demeter girl, who was making googly eyes at him from across the room. He gave her a winning smile as he sat down at a table and she immediately came over to him. "Goodmorning..." "June!" She chimed in her face flushing. "June... Such a lovely name" She giggled, and let out a shy 'thank you' as Matty leaned closer to her making direct eye contact. "Would you be a dear and go get a plate of breakfast for me? I just woke up this morning with the most awful headache and I would really appreciate it". Matty smiled as her eyes clouded over, almost as if they were covered with a sheet of silver. It was just for a moment, and if you weren't looking for it, you probably wouldn't have noticed. "Of course you poor thing! I'll get it right away!" It was so much easier to influence if they were willing. It didn't take the Demeter girl but a couple of minutes before she returned with a hot plate of breakfast setting it down in front of him. "You are a lifesaver, I owe you one" He said with a small wink and watched as she blushed even more and dashed away back to her friends. Matty bit into a piece of toast, leaning back into his chair a rather self satisfied smirk plastered across his face.

Theo rolled out of bed with all the laziness of a bear emerging from months of hibernation. Still, when his feet hit the floor he was awake. Theo had always been one of those people who was alert as soon as his feet hit the floor regardless of how much he often struggled to force himself out of bed. He was a known morning person. As he made his way into his bathroom, Theo smiled at his lack of hangover. He honestly had not had a ton to drink at the bonfire, and it took a lot to affect him anyway. Theo could hold his alcohol from a high school experience replete with endless partying.

As the hot water, beat down on him, Theo thought over the day ahead. Everyday held endless possibilities, something he had come to learn, but today had him particularly excited. As a returning camper and a leader around camp, he had the privilege of knowing about the game of capture the flag that the entire camp would be getting into in the next few hours. It was the first time everyone would see what their fellow demigods were made of. Theo smiled as strategies and ideas ran through his head. He knew he was one of the more capable fighters with one of the more unique skillsets on camp, but he found that people often underestimated his mind. Theo was as smart as they came, and he saw everything around him.

He stepped out of the shower, running a towel over his body before he approached the sink to brush his teeth. He threw on some jeans and a white t-shirt, shook his hair up so it would fall in messy disarray, and took off down the hill to the mess hall. He almost ran down the hill, but he let his speed level off as he reached the bottom. Numbers of demigods were lazily approaching the mess hall from all corners of camp. Theo had a certain bounce to his step as he smiled at those he walked by.

Upon entering the mess hall he took a quick glance around. Not too many of his core group of friends were present, but he did spot Emery. Of course, she was sitting next to Gwen. Theo put on his best smile. He knew there was no reason for him to put off introducing himself any longer. He approached their table, choosing to sit across from them. First he gave his attention to Emery. "Hey Em, hope you're feeling alright this morning. You had a good bit to drink last night," he teased his sister. Theo liked having a sibling bond with someone. It had changed his view on so much. "Really though... are you ever going to introduce me to your pretty friend here," Theo gestured at Gwen, flashing an innocent look her way before reaching his hand across the table as he spoke, "I'm Theo. And... you must be Gwen." Theo let his tone drip with charm. "It is certainly a pleasure."

Image"Hey man," Sylas said and Mason rose a brow. "I've been actually meaning to catch up with you. Mind if I sit?"
"Actually, I'm waiting for some.." his words fell quiet as Sylas helped himself. He sighed out heavily. If he had just grabbed food or stole someone's phone for a moment, Sylas might have marched on and caught up with him in another century.
"It's kind of crazy how fast word travels around camp. And I thought High School was bad. Nothing is ever secret here, is it? I mean, I've been here what... two weeks? And I already know about everything that happened last year, and I wasn't even here." Well, he wasn't wrong there. No one could keep their lips shut. However, Sylas surely didn't expect to bond because he pointed out gossip got around camp quickly.

"I mean, damn... Some of the shit you all went through, I can't imagine." Mason furrowed his brows. He could hear the 'I'm sorry' speech already. "... I heard about your sister. That's rough, man. I'm sorry. If someone killed Sloane, I don't know what I'd do. I wouldn't be able to rest until I got revenge. Like who the hell does Alex think she is? A murderer is allowed to walk around camp like royalty, while your sister is in the ground!?... That's fucked up." Mason shifted as Sylas spoke part of Mason's logic out loud. But it wasn't Sloane and it wouldn't ever be Sloane because no one knew the girl enough to hate her and Alex didn't even speak or acknowledge the girl. Aside from that, Mason was past the sympathy speeches. Jenn had been buried for a year and Mason had accepted Alex walked on water and no one would do a damn thing about it. Aside from himself of course.
He felt a crook at his neck and he rolled it out. On the slightly more interesting side, maybe Sylas wasn't quite the friendly next door neighbor Mason first thought. Also, he now knew and was refreshed on Sylas's sister's name. "That's Camp Athens for you," he replied.

"But the thing I don't get is... How in the fuck is Andy with Ajax and not you?" Mason rose his brows again. The conversation had certainly taken a sharp turn. "She has saved Ajax's life how many times? But, you were the one that saved hers. And she went home with him last night, not you. Makes no sense. I mean, it's obvious you both belong together... "
"Apparently obvious enough for you to comment on," Mason observed in a monotone. A newbie to camp that only heard the stories when he had no idea. Andy and Ajax had some love at first sight bullshit and they were both cringeably whipped. But it was too late, the claws were in.
"I don't get it... How have you not killed them yet?"
I'm working on it. Instead Mason gave a nonchalant gesture like it wasn't something so personal or he didn't know what Sylas referred to. If Mason was an idiot he might have said the words out loud but the less people knew, the better.
"Sorry to get deep. I just had to try to make sense of some of this shit. Because I tell ya, it makes no sense to me. I'm on your side, dude."
Mason laughed dryly. In that case he should tell Sylas everything. "I'm touched, but a few things, if I were to kill anybody on this camp or that even belonged to camp, I'd have a bounty on me. The whole anti-Hades mob would finally get an excuse to swarm." As much as the fact that they should be dead fired him up, he had try contain the urge, wait for the opportunity. "Second, thanks for your input and playing match maker but Andy's not my type and I'm not hers." Mason might have liked the girl and saved the girl but like Sylas pointed out, she was saving Ajax instead, and making idiot decisions like going to his cabin. "She wants white knight, gallant hero, picture perfect. I want spunk, endurance, someone I can bring home to Hades." He smirked to Sylas. Surely that painted a better picture of what Mason needed in the way of a partner if the son of Eris was so concerned. They were some high standards. Given Andy's experience with Hades, they could count her out. "And hey, if anyone decapitated Sloane when she was defenseless, I'd be on your side too, dude," Mason offered back, more to make a point that it wasn't special. Just showed his sense of justice was half in-tact.

Mason watched Sylas expectantly. Whether he'd be on his way or have something more to say since Mason was talked out.

Alex felt so much better the second she got herself to start working out again. Keeping in shape and feeling healthy had always been one of the important parts of Alex's life. Second important part of her life... friends, and family. They remained loyal to her, despite the constant gossip about last year. The new campers had only heard everything by hearsay, but not from Alex herself. They could have come and asked why she had killed Jennova, but no one had dared to even talk to her. She had never been a bad person, but a young girl who had made a terrible, emotional mistake. Why should her mother's murderer be free to walk around? and why wasn't she punished herself? Alex knew she deserved to be, but the Gods had yet again remained silent. Alex knew the way she handled justice was wrong. Jennova should have stood trial before the Gods, but it was too late, she was gone... just like the rest who had given their own lives to save the others.

"You got to engage your core," Duke said, and automatically held his as a demonstration. "Don't pull up on momentum, pull up with these." Alex fell off the branch the second she realized who was actually talking to her, then quickly got up from the ground. Her cheeks felt like they were burning.

"Duke, I..." she got lost for words as she took in the sight of him. How could anyone as handsome as him like her? to Alex, she felt like an average, half Greek female with nothing special to offer. Desperately, she wanted to tell him right there and then about how she felt, but couldn't. The words wouldn't come out. She quickly began to talk about the party instead. "Morning. I'll definitely work on that. Thanks. How've you been? I'm sorry I didn't get to meet you at the party. You looked like you were enjoying yourself, though. Some hot chicks this year, huh?" she pretended to be cool about it while she elbowed him gently on his side, and smiled. Hopefully, he didn't find them hot, but she knew he had his own mind, and he wasn't hers. Duke had every right to think and feel whatever he wanted. Her heart sunk, her stomach churned. The thought of him being with someone else made her feel bad.

Andy's words always made him realize how vulnerable he was around her. The second he thought she'd leave, it felt like his entire world was crashing down on him, suffocating him. Before he fell in love with her, he had almost closed himself off from life itself. He had been afraid to get close to anyone, but Andy had helped him out of that dark corner. She had shown him that he wouldn't make the same mistake again since Andy didn't have it in her to hurt him like his ex did. "We'll get through this, I promise. Everything will work out the way its supposed to, but before it gets better, sadly, we have to go through the worst. I'm here for you, and you don't have to bare any of the pain alone. You don't have to be strong in front of me. I'll be strong for the both of us." he took her hands in his and helped her up to her feet. He didn't let go as he leaned in towards her, his lips softly pressing up against hers for a second or so before he pulled back a little, his lips inches away as he spoke quietly. "I will be the one to fix all of this." he promised. He had a plan, but he knew many of the campers wouldn't like it.

Especially Andy, Duke, and his little sister.

They'd want to stop him but at this point... Ajax had made up his mind.

It was a selfish choice, but he felt as though it was the only option left. Hopefully, his plan would be enough.

Tomorrow he would head out of camp, alone, and visit the Moirai again. Last year didn't go well with them, but hopefully, this year would be different. He didn't want a favour from them... this time around was much different.

They controlled the mother thread of life of every mortal from birth, to death. They were independent, at the helm of necessity, directed fate. Every day they watched the fate assigned to every being by eternal laws, watching as fate would take its course without obstruction. The Gods and men had to submit to them, although Zeus's relationship with them is a matter of debate. He had been known to be the only one who can command them since Morai fear him.

Kalani continues to munch on her half of the croissant as she waits for Sloane's reply. Taking back her extended hand once Sloane informs her that she's not hungry. Oh well, it was only more food for Kalani to appease her gurgling stomach with. She couldn't help but notice how put together the girl always looked, before glancing down at her half-pyjama outfit, she must look like a real state next to Sloane.

"Not really." Sloane says in reply to Kalani's question about the days training. Kalani couldn't help but nod as Sloane said that, in a 'me too' sort of way. Gods Kalani could not fight for the life of her so she had absolutely no plan for what she was going to do. "I can't fight." Why that surprised Kalani, she couldn't say. Sloane did have a build very similar to her own, in fact she was perhaps even more slight than Kalani. She'd just assumed that Sloane was one of those people who looked fragile but could beat you up no problem. She had that kind feel about her, but Kalani was clearly wrong.

Quickly swallowing her mouthful, Kalani sips her own coffee before responding. "I get that," Chewing on her bottom lip as she thinks about the day to come, Kalani can't help but feel nerves begin to rise in her stomach, "What's a child of Aphrodite supposed to do?" She laughs softly, before motioning to her muscles - or lack thereof - "Seems like we're in the same boat." Feeling as though this new common ground was a good sign, Kalani actually begins to believe that she's getting Sloane to warm up to her.

Then, Annie arrives. As happy as Kalani is to see her good friend, she was also very aware that Sloane barely spoke to one person at a time, let alone the two of them, and because of that she'd probably make up some excuse to disappear. Damn.

Oh well, Kalani thinks before looking up as Annie reaches them, a smile forming at her lips. "Morning, Ani!" Annie greets in her typically upbeat manner. The drastic differences between Annie and Sloane became rather striking as the daughter of Apollo sat herself down next to Kalani, completely at ease, her knee pressed against Kalani's. Sloane, however, still seemed almost rigid next to Kalani, seemingly only staying seated where she was so that she didn't sit in a puddle of coffee.

"Morning, Annie." Kalani giggles back, she loved that they shared the same name - or at least, Kalani's nickname was the same. It made their greetings fun, albeit rather confusing to an outsider. Looking from Annie to Sloane, Kalani wonders what to say to keep her from leaving. Eating Sloane's half of the croissant slowly, Kalani fiddles with her coffee mug before finally perking up again.

"We were just talking about today's training," She informs Annie, grazing her bottom lip with her tongue as she makes sure there are no crumbs left on it. "Neither of us are particularly looking forward to it," She sighs, looking to Sloane for agreement, "You know I'm a lover not a fighter." Kalani grins, Annie should definitely know that, especially after their kiss. Kalani had almost forgotten that had happened last night, too caught up in everything else that happened, how funny, she thinks to herself.

"And so the true motive presents itself," Wes said, heading on over to the place of his inevitable defeat. Trinity's cheeks almost hurt from grinning ear-to-ear. "Are you trying to stack the odds in your favor by ambushing a sleeping man in the morning? You must be really worried that I'll win."

Trinity mouth dropped as if offended then she chuckled. โ€œExcuse you, Mr. Smacktalk.โ€

"On your count, Blondie."

She rolled her eyes and tightly clenched his hand. โ€œOn three. One,โ€ she said gently, flexing her fingers on his hand, โ€œtwo,โ€ her eyes searched his expression for his readiness, โ€œthree.โ€

When she learned to be sex on legs and flirt, Wes could maybe beat her at an arm wrestle. Trinity set her arm like stone in place seeing what Wes initiated. Whether he was gentle because she was female and petite next to him, or whether he was going all out for male pride and to take her on an official date. Her arm wavered against his for a second and she widened her eyes surprised. Pleasantly surprised, that he was trying and possessed such strength. As their arms fought for dominance, Trinity thought on what she'd do with him as a slave for a day and none of it was largely inspiring or exciting. Verse his idea of an official date. It was definitely new and maybe it was the most daring thing she could do. Trinity pushed Wes's arm back, no more than 60 degrees. Maybe it'd be nice. Trinity induced him with extra strength.

Dates weren't her forte but with Wes...she could trust him. Trinity slowly started to lose more and more ground, her brows pinching together in concentration until her hand hit the table. Trinity gasped and looked up to Wes wide-eyed and concerned. She didn't know what to make of it. She didn't know why she gave him an extra edge.

Then ever so slowly a smile spread across her features. Usually she'd bark for a rematch but part of her was happy to lose in this rare case. โ€œWell, how about that?โ€ she commented quietly.

Trinity couldn't help but look Wes over. Truly she was speechless left in awe mixed with anxiety. The more time they spent together, the more Wes saw of her and it just increased the chances of him realizing she was a bad idea for companionship. And an official date, there was no preparing for that.

โ€œI hope you know what you're doing,โ€ Trinity whispered to him.

Hope and warnings aside, she folded her arms across his table. โ€œSo are you walking with me to get some brekky or do I have to pretend I'm sane and sit with normal people?โ€

[Isobel Logan] - [#800020] - [Mood]
After making a complete fool of herself she'd been worried her new friend would thing less of her but if anything he'd only found her amusing. His attitude seemed friendly enough and given her current lack of stability it felt nice to have a connection to someone who had probably been through similar troubles. She'd become a little lost in her own thoughts so she almost missed what he said back to her but smiled as she took in his complement. โ€Different is good. And you can head back... whenever you like.โ€

She glanced down to see what his hands were doing and cocked her head as she examined the structure, planning out in her head the most effective ways for it to develop. To Isobel it felt equally calming for them as she watched Duke's castle expand to bring life to his designs. โ€So for reference do I call you wee lass or do you have a real name?โ€ She laughed a little before answering, her lyrical voice tinged with giggles as she found the sound of his accent wrapped around the Scottish particularly amusing.

โ€It's as good a thing ta call me as any. Better than ma given name since I'm only called that if I'm in trouble, but most would call me Isobel.โ€ As she admired Duke's work he stood carefully before leaning down and offering her a hand up. Clasping it firmly she half-pulled and was half-lifted to her feet by her muscular companion before the pair of them began to head towards their respective cabins.

As they walked back towards the fire she turned to him, glancing back to where the sea was beginning to creep further up the beach, and once they'd reached the doors of her cabin she turned to pose a somewhat rhetorical question. โ€They say that you can tell a lot about a person by how they set about a task. You're methodical and creative, that's for certain. But I'd expect no less from, what I can only assume is a son of Hephaestos?โ€ She raised her eyebrow slightly before dusting a little bit of lingering soot off his arm, which had been her primary clue before bidding him goodnight and disappearing inside.

As she woke to the sound of bird song from outside she tried to decide whether to remain in the safety and warmth of her bed or brave the cold of the world beyond. After some deliberation, during which her stomach made a rather compelling case she set about getting ready to face the rest of the campers in the race for food. Once ready, she grabbed her jacket and headed out into the chill warm morning air; finding it strange to venture out this early without bundling up as she would have often done at home. Turning back, she tossed her jacket onto the couch inside the cabin and instead headed out for food in just a pair of jeans and a t-shirt.

Once at the mess-hall she quickly pilled a plate with a stack of bacon, a couple of waffles and some pancake before making a beeline for an empty table and little off to the side. Once her tray was down she went back for a mug of tea, as well as a little cluster of grapes and some toast which she used to make a couple of bacon sarnies with. Satisfied with her haul she slowly began to work her way through it, taking sips of her tea between mouthfuls.

"I do have a habit of testing people," Evelyn openly admitted, causing McKenna to raise an eyebrow, "but I wasn't testing you. I was merely interested in why you are the way you are so I chose to ask questions, but in future I'll walk on eggshells around you. I didn't think sweet, kind smiles and words would do much for you." At least she had common sense. "I wanted answers and I got them."

"I'd do that too, if I were you," McKenna commented indifferently, avoiding the alcohol. She had to admit that she and her company were similar in that sense.

Evelyn lifted her bottle to her lips, taking a sip. "I have a great deal of respect for the children of Hephaestus. Engineers and smiths have a role on camp and the world. They're smart. My advice would be to make some friends. You'll need someone in your corner. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow but some day. And don't worry, I don't expect it to be me,โ€ the redhead stated, almost reading McKenna's mind. McKenna would never admit it, but she was mildly impressed. Evelyn knew just how to act around her and did just that. It wasn't everyday that something like that happened.

"I'll keep that in mind," McKenna replied neutrally. "I'm going back to the cabins; parties aren't my thing." McKenna started to saunter off to the Hephaestus cabin, before pausing and offering a "bye," - rather out of character, but McKenna supposed she could try out pleasantries.
-----

McKenna quietly walked towards her blacksmithing workshop, squinting as she attempted to actually see which way she was going. This was a regular thing for her; it wasn't even dawn, but metalworking was arduous work, and McKenna wanted to get a head start every morning.

Usually, McKenna's morning hours were occupied with sorting through her scrap pile and figuring out what the heck she could do with the stuff she threw in there. Today was no different. After all, she wanted to be productive, but at the same time, it was too early for intensive projects.

McKenna sat down at her desk, turning on the light so she could actually see her hands. She sighed, reaching into her scrap pile and picking up the massive and utterly deformed chuck of metal with a large number four labeled on it. McKenna always went in chronological order from the oldest fuckup to the newest; once a piece of metal was figured out, she would reuse the numbers, but that didn't mean she would go in number order.

McKenna flipped through her notebook, eyes scanning the clearly rushed but surprisingly neat Serbian scrawl. At last, she found the correct page, peering at the extensive list she at made.

Sterling silver (92.5% silver, 7.5% copper), McKenna began reciting in her mind, titanium, cast iron (4% carbon), zinc, cobalt, tungsten. The metals McKenna used in this particular piece were rather common and relatively easy to work with, especially in comparison to some other metals she had tried to put to good use. The metals weren't fully combined yet; she could still salvage some of the pure tungsten, along with the titanium and a bit of cobalt.

As the sun rose, McKenna melted a line between the salvageable metals and the swirled mess she couldn't identify. She successfully separated a large chuck of tungsten, melting it into one of her molds to later examine for its purity before saving it for later. She did the same to her titanium and cobalt, continuing the process with some of her other failed projects, throwing the metal chunks back into her scrap pile after the easy-to-extract pure metals were removed and melted.

Finally, McKenna took a deep breath, already used to the bad air of her workshop. She glanced at the clock in the corner of the room - she'd best be heading over to the mess hall by now.

By the time McKenna headed over for breakfast, most of the campers were already up and socializing with each other. She grabbed a plate, stacking on a slice of bread along with butter and jam, eggs, and sausages. She definitely wasn't looking forward to capture-the-flag; sure, McKenna knew that as a daughter of Hephaestus, her strength was something to be admired despite her small stature, but nonetheless, McKenna wasn't all too well-versed in combat. She preferred to work behind the scenes, using her inventions and wit to win her battles instead of physical combat.

Seung-min woke up to Exo's "Monster" - the Chinese version, not the Korean one - blaring through his ears. He himself was a bigger fan of Big Bang, if Seung-min were to be completely honest, but Exo wasn't bad at all. Besides, "Monster" (specifically the Chinese version) was the one song he and Lois consistently played during their few months of brooding.

Seung-min groaned, wildly slapping his hand around in attempt to stop the alarm. He constantly tried to get up earlier, but it was easier said than done. Seung-min really admired those people who could get up before dawn and be able to work; unfortunately, he was not one of them.

Seung-min yawned; he had finally managed to stop his alarm, but by that point, he spent so much time flailing that he had woken himself up too much to fall back asleep again. He muttered under his breath, attempting to get out of bed, only to have his legs tangled in the sheets and he tumbled to the ground.

"Ow..." he groaned, slamming a hand against his forehead. Seung-min attempted to wriggle out of his blankets, but only managed to get himself more tangled up. Damn. Seung-min was probably the only person on Earth who had so much trouble with his sheets.

To make things easier for himself, Seung-min teleported himself out of the tangled mess, grabbing his blanket and tossing it back on the bed. He paused for a few moments, before fixing up the blanket to make it neater before skipping towards his closet. He selected a casual outfit, finishing it off with one of his beloved bandanas.

Seung-min headed to the mess hall, piling on food on his plate, wolfing some of it down in the process. He made sure to grab an Cappuccino. Seung-min looked around the mess hall, before his eyes finally landed on a petite redhead. With his typical bright smile, he approached the woman and the table she was sitting at.

"Hey!" he greeted amicably, offering his boxy grin. "Mind if I join you?"

I'm here for you, and you don't have to bare any of the pain alone. You don't have to be strong in front of me. I'll be strong for the both of us."

Andy looked towards him as a silent tear rolled down her cheek. It wasn't necessarily what she wanted to hear, but the plain simple truth. She sniffled as Ajax took her hands and helped her to her feet. But he didn't release her hands, instead leaning in towards her. His lips brushed hers for a brief moment. Andy kissed him back tenderly, but she was thankful he didn't go for another. Regardless of how good it felt to get things off her chest, it was still raw and takes time.

Ajax remained closer to her, lips maybe an inch from hers as he spoke. "I will be the one to fix all of this."

Andy's brows furrowed as she slipped her hands from his. She didn't like the sounds of that. "What are you talking about? You can't reverse time and change the past, Ajax."

For some reason it sounded like Ajax was trying to fix more than her own problems. But what else could there be to fix? The past cannot be unwritten. Daniel is dead. Jennova is dead. Wes has no arm. And no matter how much Andy tries to forget, she was tortured in the Underworld. That's just how it was. None of it could be fixed. She studied his face, but whatever he was thinking, he was certain in it. Sometimes in all her love for him, she hated how everything seemed an ultimatum with him. The world wasn't ending, it was just the rough aftermath. There was nothing more to do besides manage.

Andy sighed, glancing down slightly. "Please, just don't do something stupid."

Trinity pretended to be offended when Wes realized that she came to him out of pure competition. She wasn't fooling him when she tried to look surprised, and quickly chuckled. โ€œExcuse you, Mr. Smacktalk.โ€ He smiled waiting for her to start the contest. โ€œOn three. One." Her grip on his hand tighten as she prepared. Trin's game face was on. But, Wes couldn't help but just smile. "Two. Three."

Wes didn't hold back, but didn't put all his strength into it at the first moment. He wanted to gauge her own strength, and, of course, she was no weakling. A slight grin graced his lips as he then put his all into it. Her own grasp even wavered for a minute. Wes was glad he wasn't all talk. But, using a single arm for almost a year definitely would put some muscle into it.

He wondered if he should let her win. Trin seemed more like a deer in the headlights then intrigued by the idea of a date with him. After all, she didn't owe him anything. They shared a kiss... That was hardly binding. Sure, it made Wes realize all he wanted... All he'd ever want was her. But love isn't a one way street and he knew that. But, just as he thought about letting up, Wes felt a wave of energy.

Wes' smirk faded slightly as he stared at their hands. He was winning? He adjusted his grasp on her hand, and put forth another push. Then it happened... Trinity's hand fell back and hit the table. His eyes widened as he just stared as his hand continued to hold hers down against the table. When he finally looked up, he was even more surprised to see that she was smiling. He half expected her to get pissed and storm out of his cabin, demand a rematch or begrudgingly agree to the date. But she didn't. She just smiled. โ€œWell, how about that?โ€

His grasp on her hand slowly lessened, but Wes didn't move his hand. Instead, just for a brief moment he let his thumb brush the top of her hand. "Yeah," he chuckled, smiling towards her. "Look at that." He didn't feel the need to gloat, nor did he want to.

โ€œI hope you know what you're doing,โ€ she whispered toward him.

"I do," he replied softly while holding her gaze. Wes knew her, if she wanted him to or not. And he liked what he knew. He just hoped that this date wouldn't disappoint. If she was miserable... He wouldn't stop her from leaving. All he wanted was her happiness, even if, in the end, that wasn't with him.

Wes let her hand slip from under his as she then crossed her arms. Almost like flipping a switch, the vulnerable side of Trinity closed up and the sarcastic side was back out. โ€œSo are you walking with me to get some brekky or do I have to pretend I'm sane and sit with normal people?โ€

"What in the hell is a brekky?" Wes asked, then his brows furrowed as if he finally understood the weird slang. "Yeah, yeah. Just let me change real quick." He pushed off the table as he stood up, swinging his leg from over the chair and started toward his room. It didn't take him too terribly long to get into a pair of jeans, and put on some sneakers. He grabbed the first shirt he could find. Luckily it was already unbuttoned so half of the battle was over.

Wes walked out of his room, his left hand slowly and sometimes unsuccessfully trying to button his shirt. He could do it, it just took awhile. He would have Trinity here starving if they sat around waiting for him to finish fastening his shirt. So, he could afford to swallow his pride a bit since he won the arm wrestle. "Do you mind helping me?... I can do it, but you might be waiting for awhile." He laughed weakly as his thumb and index figure tugged at the buttons of his shirt.

Sloane cupped her hands around her coffee mug, sipping from it occasionally. From Kalani's nod, she could only assume the girl was about as thrilled for training as she was. After all, Ani was an Aphrodite kid. They aren't generally known to be fierce warriors or anything. Not that they could help it. Her brother Wes looked like he could kick ass, but Sloane knew better than that... She heard the stories.

"I get that," Ani replied. "What's a child of Aphrodite supposed to do?" She laughed, motioning to her small muscles. "Seems like we're in the same boat."

Sloane contemplated not replying, but she sighed, trying to be as social as someone like her could manage. "Wes has seen battle, hasn't he?" She glanced over at Kalani slightly. "He might have pointers." It was a dumb comment, but it was all that she could think of. Honestly, Sloane could put money on the fact that both of them would probably be some of the first people to get their asses handed to them.

"Or, at least tell you how to not lose an arm," Sloane added with a slight chuckle.

But, what little part of Sloane's shell had opened up, quickly snapped shut when another person joined them. "Morning, Ani!" She looked up seeing the other Annie coming straight for the two of them. Then she looked straight at Sloane. "Hello. Sloane, isn't it?"

"Yes," she replied curtly. Sloane was never a fan of those kinds of greetings. If someone wasn't sure about her name or if they had met previously but forgot, then they could simply introduce themselves again. It was more polite, and was easier than asking someone to verify who they were. She didn't say anything else, simply sipping from her coffee quietly.

"We were just talking about today's training. Neither of us are particularly looking forward to it." Kalani looked towards her briefly, and Sloane shared her glance for a moment. "You know I'm a lover not a fighter."

After what seemed like a polite enough time to sit around, Sloane finished what was left of her coffee. She then put her bag over her shoulder, and picked up her old mug in her other hand. She moved to her feet, and glanced over at Kalani. "Thanks again for the coffee... See you at training." Sloane nodded her head towards both of them, and then headed back to the main hall before they tried to stop her.

Sloane made her way inside, avoiding the campers that were there. She took the coffee mugs to the kitchen, setting them in the sink. She would have washed them but honestly had no idea where anything belonged, so hopefully that was good enough. As she exited the kitchen and headed toward the door, she noticed Dom sitting by himself. Sloane had half a mind to walk over him and take a seat, but then she saw that he was reading the book she lent him. She smiled slightly to herself. When their gazes met briefly, she raised to hand in a slight wave, then exited the main hall.

Mason laughed dryly at Sylas' comments. "I'm touched, but a few things, if I were to kill anybody on this camp or that even belonged to camp, I'd have a bounty on me. The whole anti-Hades mob would finally get an excuse to swarm. Second, thanks for your input and playing match maker but Andy's not my type and I'm not hers. She wants white knight, gallant hero, picture perfect. I want spunk, endurance, someone I can bring home to Hades."

Sylas remained quiet, picking at his food and listening to Mason. Of course, he was apprehensive of Sylas, who wouldn't be. Plus, it probably sounded like he was skirting around something or full of fake sympathies. Either way, Sylas wasn't the type to just throw in the towel that easily. Some people need a slow approach, and some, just need you to come out and say it. Black and white.

"And hey, if anyone decapitated Sloane when she was defenseless, I'd be on your side too, dude."

Sylas laughed weakly, grabbing his juice and drinking from it. Mason seemed like the type of person where Sylas didn't have to wear this false facade of an average person around. So, almost like flipping a switch, he leaned forward resting on his elbows. His entire expression changed from some who was trying to make a friend, to the cold asshole he was. If a Hades kid couldn't appreciate it, then who could?

"But doesn't Hecate live in the Underworld?" Sylas quirked a brow toward Mason, while resting his palms on the table. "Andy doesn't know what she wants. It's all a matter of... Simple persuasion. And well, if the Valises are out of the way?" He shrugged his shoulders slightly, allowing Mason to connect the dots how he saw fit. Of course he knew that if the Hades boy killed the beloved Ajax, that would hurt any chances he had with the left over baggage. But, there were always other paths to take.

"There are more ways than one to accomplish what you want." Sylas' voice was low but full of intent. No, Mason didn't have the ability to get people to do what he wanted. Working alone, of course he'd get his hands dirty. But, Sylas had no problem dirtying his hands... Or better yet, making others do his dirty business for him. "There can't be a bounty on your head if you're not the one doing the killing."

Sylas grabbed a grape, popping it in his mouth, allowing Mason a moment to think. "Let me put it plainly." He held Mason's gaze as he spoke his next words only loud enough for him to hear. "Do you want help with the Valises, or not?" he asked, sliding his bowl of fruit towards Mason almost like a peace offering.

D e s p i t eXXthe unnecessarily brusque nature of Sloane's response, Annie did not allow her sheepishness to show on her face, and instead responded kindly, noting that the two hadn't ever actually spoken to one another.

A Facebook feed full of cat videos occupied Emery's attention pretty quickly, which is why she didn't notice the girl making a beeline for her table. "Hey stranger," Gwen chirped, settling herself in across from Emery. She startled, looking up from her phone with a jerk. "Sorry about disappearing pretty fast last night, I got pretty tired and Finn was ready to head back."

Emery relaxed back into her seat, meeting Gwen's smile with one of her own. "That's alright. I had a bit much to drink, so Mason walked me back afterwards." She reached forward, stealing one of Gwen's grapes. It was sweet, just tart enough to wake her up. "There, now we're even."

And speaking of brothers... Emery turned to look around the hall, wondering if Theo was up yet. Speak (or think) of the devil, there he was, just entering the hall. Sensing an opportunity - what better way to get to know someone than over food? - she put her arm up just as he spotted them, waving at him to come over. "Theo!"

Smiling, he joined their table. "Hey Em, hope you're feeling alright this morning. You had a good bit to drink last night," he teased. She reached over and pinched his arm. He knew full well that she didn't like that nickname. "That's Em-ery to you, buster," she made sure to enunciate the second half of her name, hating that he didn't have anything she could use against him. Though, she did like the feeling of siblings bickering - it felt like home, a sensation she hadn't been familiar with in a while.

The spell was broken when Theo turned to Gwen, who was clearly his main target. "Really though... are you ever going to introduce me to your pretty friend here." Emery rolled her eyes. "I was going to... Then you opened your fat mouth."

He went on anyway. "I'm Theo. And... you must be Gwen. It is certainly a pleasure."

Emery had to take a bite of toast to hide her smile. Really, the boy had no concept of subtlety. Chasing the toast down with a drink of coffee, she piped up, trying to save Gwen from her bull of a brother. "As you have so astutely pointed out, Theo, this is Gwen. And Gwen, this is..." Here she turned to fix Theo with a pointed stare, trying to telepathically tell him to cool it, "...my brother, Theo."

"I do," he seemed to promise with his gaze on hers. Trinity smiled a little, more worried about her own end because she did trust Wes in that moment.

"What in the hell is a brekky?" She opened her mouth to respond, but Wes continued. "Yeah, yeah. Just let me change real quick." Trinity chuckled, sometimes forgetting their slangs didn't align. While he left for his room Trinity stared at her left hand with a glint of worry, and the right protectively cradled it. She prayed she wasn't losing strength and that whatever an official date was, it would be okay. She would be okay. She made the right decision.

Trinity blew out a sigh and shook out her arms. Wes emerged from his room, slowly fumbling with a few buttons on his shirt. "Do you mind helping me?... I can do it, but you might be waiting for awhile." He laughed weakly and tugged on his buttons.

โ€œNo, yeah, sure.โ€ Trinity approached Wes to help fasten the remaining buttons. A heat crept over her cheeks standing before him. Despite being careful and steady, her knuckles and fingers would brush his torso in a feather touch as she worked. โ€œSorry,โ€ she mumbled, although her eyes focused on the chore at hand until she was done. Trinity glanced up to him and smiled. โ€œGood to go.โ€

She led the way to the hall silently. She was, at the core, still at a loss for words. It wasn't that things were awkward, Trinity was only in her own head. But as they got to the more populated areas, like outside the hall where Kalani and Annie, and a few couple other bodies resided, Trinity found conversation again. โ€œShe's lovely, your sister. You two seem to connect really easily. I mean it makes sense, you're both so...loving I guess.โ€ Trinity smiled. Kalani and Wes both molded so well into camp so quickly within their first weeks. They were endearing and conversational. โ€œYou must be excited to have another person to bug.โ€ She bumped her shoulder into him playfully then spun on her heel walking backwards. โ€œUuh, you should also probably teach me to be more socially pleasant so I can get a head start. You know, get the family to start liking me and approve of me in the early stages.โ€ Trinity winked and chuckled, though on some level she felt it was genuinely needed. Talking about how Aphrodites powers could disarm enemies and lead them to the edge of their own swords probably wasn't the most charming topic of conversation.

It would be hella amazing though.

Her eyes widened in realization and she held Wes's arm. โ€œCan you compel me? Like fill me so much devotion that I'd do anything?โ€ Trinity knew he didn't like making people do things or feel things against their true will, but she was asking for it. โ€œDo it. Turn me into a teddy bear. Make me hug someone.โ€ A harmless suggestion ultimately with Kal and Annie as the potential nearest victims, and a test of Wes's powers. โ€œCome on Ken Doll, make me do something un-Trinity.โ€
She poked him gently and repetitively with a sly smile.

Harley stood near the kitchen waiting for something as simple yet delicious as a grilled cheese and tomato sandwich, crossing her arms, then tapping her forearms as she waited for the toaster to do its business while her eyes scanned the crowd. The most intriguing of conversions had to be between Mason and Sylas. She couldn't say them interacting was odd, something about the pair just looked right but...Harley didn't know. It didn't look particularly buddy bud as so many others sitting together did.

Her attention shifted easily when a girl raced through her vision preparing breakfast like a woman on a mission. Harley raised her brows and shifted aside to avoid being collateral damage. People were extra weird on this camp but she kinda liked it. She could dig it. The smell of burning wafted up her nostrils and she spun around with a start turning off the machine and throwing her slightly burnt toast on a plate. Harley grimaced disappointed. In all her history of toast making she had been an expert, managing that perfect golden brown shade and crunch but now the record was gone, her toast tainted of little black marks. Even so, she acknowledged it could have been much worse.

In the nick of time, the same girl darted pass again with a plate prepared and Harley lifted her own plate above head to avoid a collision this time. She watched the girl deliver it to Mateo. Son of Hera. He was evidently pleased with his waitress service and Harley didn't even know there was such a thing at camp.

Harley started towards Mateo though based on their outfit and outward appeal differences, she wouldnโ€™t be surprised if he wrinkled his nose at her presence. He kind of had that air of 'I'm a prince.'
โ€œMorning. Can that nifty trick be taught or is she just a peach?โ€ She threw her head towards the doll that made him some warm breakfast. Harley could steal someone's breakfast sure, but personal service...there was no lifting of a finger required. โ€œDid you have fun last night?โ€
