Description

ANDREA PIKE

"Every time she laughs, she hopes he's watching. Not so that he will know she is happy, so that he may fall for her smile, as she fell for his."

Ocean Avenue by Yellowcard
"If I could find you now
Things would get better
We would leave this town
And run forever
Let your waves crash down on me
And take me away, yea."

Important Note!
"You should read this, really." Though she is a girl, Andy is dressing up as a guy and will be bunking WITH the boys. Somewhere along the storyline she will be found out though.

Image
Name
"If you must talk to me..." She prefers to be called Andy, and most only know her by this name.

Age
"'tis but a number." Sixteen

Sexuality
"Does it really matter?" Straight, strictly.

Eyes
"They are an ugly brown color that I despise, they look like lake water." Andy's eyes are somewhat of a murky brown that she can't stand. The only thing she likes about them is the specks of gold that seem to float within them. Unfortunately her deceased mother made her wear contacts, making her eyes appear blue instead because people used to stare at the unusual nature of their color. She still wears them, even though her mother is gone, simply because she has always been told it was safer.

Hair
"It's black, are you blind?" Her hair is the color black, though many like to describe it as chocolate-y or even dark brown because it's color almost can appear to be so in the light. It falls in gentle waves, resting just a bit below her shoulders. Though sometimes she will choose to curl it, it takes quite a while though due to it's thickness, and she really is not all that patient.

Body
"I'm not little..." She fits almost perfectly into the "petite" category, being just above five foot[ five foot one inch to be exact, though the world naturally rounds down ] and only a hundred and two pounds. Though, sometimes a turn off to others, she is rather pale. People used to tease her for being "white as a ghost", though she never minded it. The reason she has always been so pale is because she doesn't really like to go out in the sun, she much more prefers the night. As you can see from the picture on the right, she isn't necessarily "strong". You can even see her ribs somewhat.

Style
"Style, hah." Most girls go out of their way to look "pretty" for guys, right? This girl is probably the complete opposite, she chooses to be comfy rather than be whore-y. You'll rarely catch her in a skirt, actually she doesn't even own one. Though you'll also rarely catch her with pants on, unless in public. She prefers to wear longer shirts[ longer, heh, just long enough to cover everything ], often old band tee shirts or even some of her brothers button down shirts. When she does have to wear pants though, you can usually find her wearing skinny jeans of any color or sometimes even shorts, though she doesn't really like wearing shorts either. Shoes are usually combat boots or skate shoes[ DC's, Van's, TH ]. Also she tends to wear a lot of hoodies in public.

Personality
"You'll only know the person I want you to." Andy's primary mode of living is focused internally, where she deals with things rationally and logically. Her secondary mode is external, where she take things in via her five senses in a literal, concrete fashion. Andy has a compelling drive to understand the way things work. She's good at logical analysis, and like to use it on practical concerns. Typically having strong powers of reasoning, although she's not interested in theories or concepts unless she can see a practical application. She likes to take things apart and see the way they work.

Andy has an adventuresome spirit. She is attracted to motorcycles, airplanes, sky diving, surfing, etc. She thrives on action, and is usually fearless. Andy is fiercely independent, needing to have the space to make her own decisions about their next step. She does not believe in or follow rules and regulations, as this would prohibit her ability to "do her own thing". Her sense of adventure and desire for constant action makes her prone to becoming bored rather quickly. Although she does not respect the rules of the "System", she follows her own rules and guidelines for behavior faithfully. She will not take part in something which violates her personal laws.

Andy likes and needs to spend time alone, because this is when she can sort things out in their minds most clearly. She absorbs large quantities of impersonal facts from the external world, and sort through those facts, making judgments, when she is alone. Andy is an action-oriented person. She likes to be up and about, doing things/ She won't sit behind a desk all day and do long-range planning. Adaptable and spontaneous, she responds to what is immediately before her. She usually has strong technical skills, and can be as effective technical leaders.

She does not pay attention to her own feelings, and even distrust them and try to ignore them, because she has difficulty distinguishing between emotional reactions and value judgments. This may be a problem area for her.

When she is over-stressed, she may exhibit rash emotional outbursts of anger, or on the other extreme may be overwhelmed by emotions and feelings which she feels compelled to share with people (often inappropriately). When down on herself she will foray into the world of value judgments - a place which is not natural for the her - and judge herself by the inability to perform some task. Andy will then approach the task in a grim emotional state, expecting the worst.

But Andy is excellent in a crisis situations. She is good at following through with a project, and tying up loose ends.

Instructor
"We don't need a babysitter." ---

Cabin
"Really? I'm assigned a room?" The only thing she knows is she gets the single bed.

Likes
"Nothing girly." Andy likes a lot of things, well a lot of silly things. She likes to play pranks and laugh, run around the house singing and dancing until someone literally has to hold her to get her to calm down. Candy is a god, though she really shouldn't have much of it because she gets hyper way too easily. To be more serious though, she likes to read and write, if you're lucky you may catch her playing guitar or singing, though she really only does that for close friends, which is boys because she hates most girls. Something she would never admit is that she likes to cuddle or be held, touch is a really big thing for her, as in she'll crawl all over people or try and sit in their laps, though it's so innocent and playful that it can't be really thought of as anything other. Lastly she loves the rain, her dreams are to be kissed in the rain and dance in the refrigerator light at midnight, sounds like a Taylor Swift song, right?

Dislikes
"Girls." Obviously she isn't too fond of her own gender, though there is multiple reasons behind that. She doesn't like relationships, they terrify her. Being serious is boring, sitting still is impossible, and her "mother" is a bitch. Andy can't cook for the life of her, if it can be burnt it will be. Sometimes she will be teased for being skinny or anorexic, and she really can't stand that. Crying, that's a pretty normal thing to dislike, and she hates people seeing her cry. Other things include her insomnia, and the nightmares that haunt her when she actually can sleep. She doesn't like people who abuse animals, especially since she doesn't want to image her Husky ever being hit.

Crush
"Pft." Will Add.

Enemies
"Well..." Naturally she probably won't like many of the girls.

History
"History." Andy grew up in an orphanage, never knowing her mother or father. Being one of the youngest there, she was the one whom everyone picked on. Once she got older, around nine or ten, she began to try and fight back, when she realized she could fight back. But it didn't turn out well. Things got worse for her, a lot worse. One of the older boys, she thinks he was around sixteen or seventeen, caught her sneaking out late at night. This was when she was fourteen, this was attempt number one at running away. They were both in the alleyway, and he was merciless. The older boy beat her up, took the money she'd saved up(stolen) to run away. Though she still did run, terrified of what else the boy could do to her. After awhile she ended up in another foster home, but she was a bit rebellious for them. So they sent her off to this camp to... make her better.

So begins...

That morning was crazy. The children were running wild, jumping on the couch and beds and one of them was even up on the table. Jane was trying to make breakfast and take care of them at the same time, and also make sure they were quiet enough to not wake him up. As soon as the little one, a five year old girl named Lovie, told him that he felt terrible. If she'd just woken up earlier she would have been able to help. Jordan and Zai, eleven year old twins, were jumping on the couch when she finally made it downstairs. She quickly pulled each one up, spinning them around before playfully "slamming" them back down on the couch. By the end Andy was on the ground with both boys on her back, trying to beat her up. Though soon Jane called for breakfast, mouthing a quick thank you to Andy.

Running back upstairs, she showered. Afterwards pulling on a pair of white skinny jeans and a Fuck Love tee that she knew she would probably get in trouble for wearing. The only other things that she had to grab was her black duffel filled with her stuff and her guitar.

The ride to camp wasn't terrible, Jane kept an easy conversation going and to be honest, Andy liked her foster mum. Hell, she didn't even ask why it was that the black haired girl was slowly turning herself into a male on the way there, even putting make up on to completely rid herself of her feminine features. Though she already didn't have the biggest chest, she tightened the wrap she'd put on earlier, the final part of making her completely boyish. She didn't look that bad, actually.

"He" got out of the car upon arrival, grabbing his bag and his black and white checkered acoustic before heading towards the cabin. There was two boys in the room already, and he nodded a greeting to both before climbing up to the top bed of the bunk opposite the one a boy was at the bottom of. The other black haired boy had taken the other top bunk, and he noted that he too had a guitar, interesting. He opened his bag enough to grab out a sketch book and a few charcoal pieces, before beginning to sketch her surroundings.

Isabelle
Isabelle wasn't really asleep, but she sure looked like it. Really, she just liked laying there, unmoving. Suddenly, a loud voice was asking if they wanted to meet the boys. Vaguely, Isabelle acknowledged that she heard doors opening to another cabin outside, so she knew some of them were there. Opening only one eye, Isabelle peered at the girl who spoke with a blank expression for several moments before shrugging. "Why not," she mumbled, opening her other eye and slowly sitting up. But, before she could even stand a woman barged in yelling some greeting. Isabelle groaned, falling back onto her bed. Camp counselors..
Alex
Alex was eying the new boy who had just came in. He had a guitar also, which Alex thought was pretty cool, but something was weird about him. As soon as he was settled, he began to draw something Alex couldn't see. One's drawing and one's reading... I thought I was anti social. "Hey, you play?" he asked the newcomer, actually curious. It was nice to meet someone else who could play, since everyone he knew couldn't play music. He was alone, in that sense.

Andy's eyes flitted upwards at the sound of anothers voice, and he carefully regarded the boys guitar before his eyes flicked to his own. "Nope, I just drag this thing around to carry chips in," he joked, voice coming out a tad more high that originally wanted. Though the next time he spoke it was fixed. Not that it was really meant to be. "This," he gestured to the guitar. "And drums." For a moment he was silent, sketching a few more lines before setting down his book and focusing on the others in the room. Perhaps he could at least attempt some kind of socialness.

"What about you, any good?" Again his eyes moved over the guitar, it was quite nice actually. His own was a black and white checkered acoustic, not the most fancy guitar and not the most expensive, but it was his most prized possession. And it was like steel, the kids had thrown that guitar around so many times that it should have broken by now, but it was still standing proudly. "And while I'm at this whole 'let's try and be social thing', what's your name?"

Andy offered a light smile. "Andy," he stated quickly. "It's nice to meet you." It was then that his eyes flitted over to the girls that had just entered the room, and a slight smirk pulled at the corners of his mouth. "And now we all know which of the girls are either whores, or way too innocent." Returned to his earlier anti-socialness, he took his sketch pad back into his hands and began to sketch again.

His earlier words were obviously meant to annoy the girls, though in his head he was being somewhat serious. What girls really went to go and visit the male cabin, not even minutes after they'd probably arrived here? The ones that wanted to scout out which boys were deemed date-able and which ones were just sleep-withs. After all, "he" was a girl, he knew these things. It still amused him though.

Valkyrie looked up at the new person greeting her.
"H-hi, I'm Valkyrie," she said quietly and smiled briefly at him. "It's nice to meet you."
She looked around and felt out of place and awkward. There were two boys sitting on the top bunks, both looking at them.Valkyrie took a small step back and looked back at Jeff, who was greeting the other girls.
Yeah... I should've stayed back at the cabin. I don't think they want us here. She thought. When Ellie came back from propping open the door, she moved closer to her, hoping she'd feel at least a little bit better about coming to this cabin.

Isabelle
Isabelle looked around the cabin, not very interested. She didn't really care about who the boys were, as she'd see them around later anyways. But, she also had nothing to do so of course she'd follow Ellie. Even though so far, Ellie was seeming too up beat for Isabelle's tastes. One of the boys on the top bunk said something about them being whores, causing Isabelle to look up at him and raise an eyebrow at him, slightly amused. Wait a second, she thought, taking a closer look. She wasn't sure what, but something was off about the boy. She couldn't quite put her finger on what. Her thoughts were disrupted though, by the sudden urge to sleep. Yawning, Isabelle sat on the floor. "Tired..."
Alex
Alex looked at all the girls, and was surprised when the green haired one wearing chains stuttered. Not exactly what I was expecting... When Andy made the whore comment, Alex couldn't keep himself from snickering. He was sure he was doing it to annoy the girls only, but they did set them selves up for it.

"It's nice to meet you too," Jeff responded. "And thanks! I like yours too."
The girl with white hair sat on the ground and murmured about being tired while the other two guys made jokes. He watched as Ellie kept the door open with a chair, and he raised one of his eyebrows. He noticed as Valkyrie stepped back and almost hid behind Ellie.
"She must be shy.." He thought. At the pizza comment that Ellie had made, he'd realized that he was hungry and didn't mind going to get food with the girls. The guys here hadn't spoken to him much.
"Sure." He turned around,"You guys might want to come too, I hear there will be a long line by the time the dinner bell actually rings."
With that, Jeff motioned for them to head out the door first.

Hearing Alex snicker caused Andy to look up, clearly pleased that the other boy didn't seem to be overly angry or anything about it. Some guys were real gentlemen, sticking up for girls like they needed sticking up for. They could stick up for themselves, it was their choice if they wanted to let guys walk all over them. With another slight smile, he got Alex's attention before gesturing to his guitar. "Wanna ditch and go play?" Not that they even really had to play, though he did need an excuse to leave. It would be sort of awkward if either began singing too, considering Andy probably was not going to be able to pull off singing like a guy.

Alex
Alex watched the girl, Ellie, before noticing Andy trying to get his attention. Looking up, he noticed he was gesturing to the guitar. "Wanna ditch and go play?" he asked, causing Alex to grin and nod. Jumping off the bunk he grabbed his own guitar case. To be honest, if anyone asked him to play he would probably, because he loved music. Plus, he wasn't feeling very comfortable in the cabin. The girl Ellie was annoying him, but he wasn't sure why. He felt the need to not give the purple haired guy attention because you could tell he wanted it, and Jeff was talking to Ellie. To Alex, this was a good opportunity to leave. Sitting awkwardly on his bed wasn't that fun.
Isabelle
Isabelle looked up at Ellie, asking to go get pizza. "Actually, I think I'm just going to nap, okay? My mom woke me up on the ride here so I'm tired," she said, offering a lazy smile. In truth, she was always tired. It really had nothing to do with her mom.

Getting together Hiro looked at everyone. all dressed for summer he did feel a little outside, but that definitly meant he also stood out from the crowd. right now he was dressed in black skinnies and a black sleeveless. he did not look the part for a summer camp, let alone a warm day like today. "So how is everyone? My name's Hiroshima, by the way." he said and smiled a bit. meeting new people was odd for him. he definitly liked the feeling, but it was not his strong point.

"Just call me Hiro" he looked around, there were a lot of people, including the females who had just walked in there must have been seven in the room, but at least they were all friendly... well except for the guy he heard call the girls whores, or innocent and then walk off with his sketch pad. Hiro has had some bad first impressions, but that one was really bad.

Alex
Alex nodded at him, as he finished tuning his guitar. He could tell the other boy didn't care much about what people thought about him, and while Alex mostly didn't either, he didn't feel like being bugged the whole time he was at camp for being Bi. That's how it was last time he told someone, but thankfully that was only at a week long trip with his family, and the people who knew didn't actually know him. Looking up at the other boy, he grinned. "So, what you wanna play?" he asked. Alex didn't know many songs by heart, but if he listened to a song for a minute he would be able to play along pretty easily. Most songs followed pretty simple patterns, and it wasn't hard to pick up on them.

"Good question." There was many songs Andy could play, considering most his time was spent alone either sketching or playing. He'd even written a few songs himself, not that he would ever show anyone them. They weren't good enough, no one could like his type of music. It was dark and sad and, broken. Everything he felt, another reason he didn't dare share it with anyone. Not that he minded being judged, but the last time he tried to express himself he was threatened with therapy. After that you sort of just learned to act, pretend you're just fine. And hell, he was good at it. "You pick, I hadn't thought this far ahead. I sort of just wanted to get out of there."

Andy grinned, quickly picking up the chords and then connecting it to a song that Jane rather liked, actually he seemed to recall actually buying her a CD from the guy for mothers day. It didn't matter that Jane wasn't his real mum, she was better than the shit parents he would have had. A drug addict father and a prostitute mother, yeah, that would've been a fabulous environment to grow up in. Then again, before he actually got placed with Jane, he had been quite the delinquent himself. Literally, he'd been in and out of juvenile detention all the time. Jane wouldn't give up on him though, or take no for an answer. Without realizing it, he began to play along with Alex, trying to hide the quick glances he stole at the other boy.

Alex
Alex smiled a bit, hearing the other boy join in. By how fast he caught on, Alex assumed he'd heard the song before. Alex began to hum along while he played, which was his way of keeping himself from singing. He didn't sing in front of people, it just wasn't something he did, and he probably wouldn't start now. When the song was close to over, Alex finally looked at the other boy to find him glancing over at him. Alex stumbled over the next chord, messing up slightly surprised but not really sure why. Biting his lip, Alex stopped playing, resting his hand over the strings. "Er, sorry about that," he mumbled.

They were almost through the song when Alex messed up, seeming to have been startled. Andy silently cursed himself, he must have caught him looking. It wasn't like it was that weird... he was just watching the boy to make sure he was playing the song right. He was more or less deaf in his right ear, so it was easier to watch his fingers to see the chords to play. Though he knew that was a lie, he knew the song by heart and every chord he had to play. The other boy stopped playing, yet Andy finished the song, refusing to meet the others eyes. Finishing, he set the guitar down and clasped his hands together. "Sorry."

Alex
Alex mentally shook himself, wondering why he was acting so surprised. The boy probably probably just needed to see what he was playing. Of course. But Alex was feeling like that wasn't true. Hearing Andy say sorry, he smiled and shrugged. "Oh no, it's fine, I'm just a bit jumpy I guess. Not used to people playing with me," he told Andy, hoping the other believed him, somewhat. "Um, want to try another song? Or we could go get pizza. Though, by now there's probably a line..." And you're not hungry, he added mentally. So why was he offering to go grab pizza with Andy. Taking a deep breath, Alex cleared his head and smiled at Andy. I'm just not used to people, he decided.

"Me neither, and I'm somewhat deaf in this ear," the boy tapped his right ear, the one nearest Alex. "So since I couldn't hear if I was playing correctly, I was sort of watching your fingers... Please don't think I'm super weird or anything." He didn't know why he suddenly cared what others thought of him, it was silly. Yet he still found himself hoping that the boy didn't think he was some weird kid that stared at others, even though he sort of had been glancing at the other boy. But he was cute, there was nothing wrong with that. It was like looking up pictures of Channing Tatum. "Actually I think we've waiting long enough for there to not be a line," he joked, still not making a move to reach for his guitar again. "I'm fine with whatever you want to do, I could go for food but we could also just hang out."

Andy nodded, turning to put his own guitar away. "If there isn't other things to do at camp, I might drown myself before it ends." Though he was only somewhat joking, if there wasn't other things to do then he certainly was going to hitchhike home. Or find a way to cause some trouble so at least something would be interesting, even if he got a punishment. Hell, even a punishment would give him something to do. Hopping off the rock, he stretched his legs a bit, one foot having fallen asleep from being crossed under him. "What else do you do, other than play guitar?" Might as well at least try and get to know him.

Alex
Alex looked at Andy as he stretched, then realized he was probably staring and looked over at the water. "Um, not much. I mean, I can play almost any instrument I pick up, if that's what you mean, but I don't have many hobbies..." he trailed off, thinking as he looked over at the water. "Oh, I like swimming.," he added. "How about you, any interests?" he asked, picking up the guitar case and slinging in over his shoulder. He was planning on just carrying it around with him till they went back to the cabin. He was used to it, so it wasn't that heavy.

It was as Alex mentioned that he liked to swim that he realized there was no way he'd be able to go swimming this summer. Not dressed as a guy, that would be very bad. And very, very awkward for everyone. This would be a good time to make up an excuse for that, so he didn't look like an idiot when everyone else went swimming. "That's actually pretty awesome, all I can play is this and drums," he said, smiling somewhat. The sun was beginning to go down and he frowned a bit, trying not to be too upset that his time with his new friend would be over soon. "I'm actually terrified of water," he lied, his way of getting out of swimming. "Though I like to sketch, and I'd like to think that I'm really not that bad at it." Gesturing towards the cabins and then towards the mess hall, he raised an eyebrow, a probably way too perfect eyebrow for a guy, questioningly. "I think this is about our last change to get food, but if you're still not hungry we could always head back to the cabin and share all out secrets," he teased.
