Jessica kept emotion to a minimum as two tall men led her to a wide gray door with but a single tiny window to peak in from, when in truth, she was pissed, scared even. She didn't belong here, and she wasn't crazy, wasn't she? As the two men pushed her into the room, she turned around in protest of leaving her there, though was interrupted by a loud slam of the door. Jessica looked around the room. The floor was tiled, the bed sheets were a light pink which came from her old house, and the wallpaper was a bland white. Luckily, she would only have to stay in there for a few more hours before she'd be let out into the recreation room, which sat openly in the middle of the entire floor. Though a few hours would be just enough time to send her into depression mode, bringing her to realization that she would be staying here for a while.

Image

A few hours later, a mans footsteps could be heard as they echoed through the also tiled hallways. A dark eye appeared through the small window as the owner of the footsteps turned the lock of the door and opened it. "Let's go." He said, his voice stern and hard as he took the back of her neck and took her to where a few couches, a television and some playing cards were. There were few people that sat in the room, one staring into midair, another watching the television, she figured any other patients were still in their rooms. Jessica quietly sat down on the couch next to the person watching tv. "Hello." She said quietly, her voice slightly cracking. The girl turned, examining her. "Why are you here? You seem perfectly normal" She said to her.

"I am normal."

"Only crazy people say that." The girl stared at her for a moment before returning her gaze to the tv.

I stood staring at the doors. The huge big wooden doors with iron hinges. How can doors look so menacing? They can't you idiot. Of course Harri was the first one to say something. She was always the meanest and the scariest especially if she decided to take over. I don't think your an idiot Harriet. That was Rikki, always so quiet and sweet but I liked her best, when she does get the confidence to take over she always is calm and collected, many people call her shy but I know that she is the smartest one. Oh, don't be ridiculous Harriet, think of this as an adventure! Always the optimist and definitely the most talkative, when Teri takes control she's always in a hurry to do everything and is just so excitable.
"You guys do realise that this is the entrance to our prison right?" I mutter.
"Please Harriet come through and stop muttering." dad scolded, she gave me a stern look and ushered me through the door like a child. My anger flared at that point and Harri slipped into control.
"Don't you dare talk to me like that. I'm not stupid and I can take all the time I please. Besides why do you care your abandoning me here anyway." I gave him my dirtiest look and marched passed towards to main desk.
The receptionist looked to be in her mid-forties and was probably a military sergeant or something from her beefy arms and cruel features. She was turned away from me and so I slammed my hand down on the desk. She slowly turned with a bemused look on her face, before she opened her mouth I said,
"Listen to me, my father is dumping me here but I don't want any crap. Send me to where I will be staying and give her the paper works to deal with."
Now the lady looked astonished. I gave her a scowl but was soon thrown off because the side of my head started to ache with Harriet yelling at me to be polite and Teri complaining that this is not how we make friends. Of course this just made me angrier and gave me more control. But still I couldn't help it and before I realised that I was saying it aloud I was yelling;
"Just SHUT UP! I can't think."
By then dad had come up behind me and was apologising to the receptionist. But I wasn't paying attention because there was too much going on in my mind. What I did notice was the flabby arms wave over someone and then I felt too hands gently on my shoulders. Before I could protest they started to steer me away. From behind I could hear my dad calling out I love you and see you soon. The trip to my new room was a blur, full of stairs and too many identical doors and white walls. We finally reached a door and I read the number 26. The person came round to unlock the door and I noticed that it was a he and he was surprisingly handsome and young. Maybe only 10 years older than me. He gently pushed me into the room. He stayed near the threshold of the doorway.
"This is your room. Later on we will bring some of your old stuff in so it will feel more like home. I've got to check on some other patients now but someone will be back later with dinner." With that he was gone and I could hear the click of the lock as he walked away. I sagged down onto the simple wooden bed. By now I had calmed down enough to slip back to the corners of my mind and Rikki took over. Instantly I was scanning the room, it wasn't large but it wasn't small either. Surprisingly it was actually bigger than my room back home. Although clearly more sterile. Everything was pretty much white. White walls, white sheets and white tile floor. Thank god the bed and desk were wooden otherwise I think I may go crazy. You can't go crazy when you already are, stupid.
"No, Harriet is the crazy one we're still perfectly normal." I reasoned aloud. Calmly I stood back up and walked around my new room. There was an inbuilt closet with some white shirts already hanging there. I imagine that they would drop my suitcase with my clothes in it later on when dad gets it out of the car. Next I walk over to the bed and test it again. It's quite comfy, no springs which is good but the sheets are kind of coarse. Next I walk over to the desk, I run my hands over and feel the cool, smoothness of the wood. As I reach the corner I find that the edges have all been rounded. Obviously someone's tried to hurt themselves. I push the chair away and kneel down to have a look under the desk. I reckon I could, with a little skill, make a grove to hide my Swiss pocket knife in there. No one had bothered to really give me a proper pat down so I had managed to sneak it in before we came here. Hoping that they would be a while I pulled out my pocket knife and made quick work of the soft wood, carving a little pocket in the far left corner. It was just big enough to the knife when closed. Just as I had slid it in, stood back up and was beginning to push the chair back in the lock unclicked. A head popped round the corner, it was the guy from earlier.
"Hi Harriet. I have some of your things here as well as dinner. You will be eating in your room tonight but hopefully tomorrow morning you'll be able to go to the recreation room and eat with some of the other guests here." I stayed quiet. There was really nothing to be said. He opened the door wider and instead of my suitcase was just caring a basket filled with my clothes and a bag on two small bags on top. One I knew had my knickers and stuff the other was probably little nik-naks were just harmless reminders of home. In his other had he held a plastic plate with some salad and casserole. He put the basket on the floor and the food on the desk along with some plastic cutlery.
"Right. I'll let you settle in and finish your dinner while it's still warm. I might be back in half an hour to collect the basket and your plate. Enjoy" He gave me what looked like a genuine smile. I just looked away and still said nothing. The time passed quickly, I found I was hungry and ate my food slowly, savouring each bite. I was pretty surprised to find that it was decent food. Set about putting my stuff in the draws and hanging some of my clothes up. I opened the other bag and found a picture frame of me and dad and my little Guatemalan worry doll. I smiled at this. She was only about the size of my finger but I picked her up gently and laid her under my pillow. Other than that there wasn't anything else interesting the the bag and I just popped them carelessly on the desk. There was a couple of books in there too. I smiled when I saw which ones they were; the Eragon Series. I had only read the first couple of chapters of the first book but I loved them and I was touched that dad remembered. I hadn't had time to finish reading them.
By the time the guy came back I was lying on my bed starting at the beginning of book one. I ignored him, but I did hear him say something about lights out being in an our or so. I think he expected a reply but when I didn't give one he left. The click of the lock already becoming familiar. Finishing my page I got up and dressed into my old and worn pair of PJ's and hoped under the covers. I read until the lights flicked out. That's what I realised was missing from the room. A light switch. I guess they must all just be automatic. Times like these were nice. Harriet, Teri and Harri were all content and enjoyed listening to the story. I close my eyes and the familiar routine of going to sleep; Night. Night. Sleep tight. and Harri always has to grumble before she says, and don't let the bed bugs bite.

Issac looked at the man that escorted him through the doors of Cane Hill Asylum. He found it amusing that the man was actually a few inches shorter than him and could easily be overpowered. But then again, the boy's hands were behind his back. He was shoved forward roughly, causing him to growl at the man. "Keep moving sir," the man informed him in a deep voice. With no other choice than to cause chaos and possibly be arrested, Issac obeyed.

He found himself being led into a room, his new room. The mattress did not have sheets on it yet. The tiles were cold against his bare feet and the walls were painfully plain. The tall blonde sat down on the bed and let the door close behind him, before realizing that the man had not removed his restraints. Frustrated, he spent the next hour trying to get the restraints off.

This did not succeed however and he was stuck staring at the walls for hours. Increasing boredom ravaged his mind. Was there anything to do here? He wasn't crazy, but he might just go mad being stuck in here all day long.

Before long though his prayers were answered and a guard came by, telling him that if he behaved, his restraints would be removed and he would be allowed to spend exactly hone hour in the day room. Issac eagerly agreed to the objectives. Besides, as long as nobody was bleeding he would be perfectly fine.

He was led out of the room into another. He'd never been so happy to see so much open space. "I won't hurt anybody," he told his escort, who reluctantly let him go.

Issac looked around and saw few people in the room. There were two cute girls in here though. Wait, this is an asylum... They're probably axe murders... Then again, a sickle isn't much better. He felt conflicted for a moment before approaching the two girls. "Are you enjoying your time here?" he asked them, sitting down on a chair.

"Yay! Finally we're here!" A voice cried out happily. Standing just before the entrance, Dawn stood tall besides her short height, dressed nicely in a small baby-doll dress that fit her petite frame like a top instead. It was ok, she wore black shorts underneath. Despite the slight breeze running through the air, her pigtailed locks stayed in perfect shape, not a strand of hair out of place, even her bangs behaved. "Well, aren't we going in?" She asked innocently, her big eyes stared up at the big guards at her sides, their bodies were stiff and they avoided eye contact.

She wasn't sure whether it was because what she did years ago or that fact that she was holding their hands. She pouted a bit when she got no response nor did they seem like they were going to move anything soon, they weren't playing along. "I said, aren't we going in?" She asked again, her tone a bit darker as her grip on their hands tightened, she may not have insane strength to hurt men their size but she definitely had the nails to dig into their skin. Without another word, they finally complied with a slight wince and brought her inside as she skipped in between them, her face bright once again as she began to hum.

They were playing along.

"See, was that so hard?" She giggled, finally dropping their hands as she took off to the first room that caught her attention, her bare feet slapping against the cool tile floors as she stood in the door way of the what seemed like a rec room of some sort. "Hi!" She called out brightly to the few people that occupied the room. A male and two girls. She smiled and ran, diving onto one of the free couches as she bounced, clutching a pillow tight to her chest and buried her face into it before peeking out from behind it. Her baby blues eyed each one of them, flashing with excitement. "I'm Dawn! What are your names?" She asked from behind the pillow, her words slightly muffled.

The lights flickered on and I guessed that meant that it was time to get up. I wasn't sure what the whole process of this was but I supposed I should get change quickly just in case. So what are we going to wear today? I mean we are going to be meeting the other guests here so we better look nice!
"Teri, I don't think it really matters most of these people are too crazy to really notice."
Besides, butted in Harri, who cares what other people think. Why do we even bother making friends anyway? Harri, it's to our advantage to make friends here, if we ever want to escape we need others, Rikki reasoned. Yeah! I mean we might find someone we like too! All this talk about meeting new people was making me nervous and excited at the same time, so much so that Teri took her chance of controlling.
"Righty-o! Lets have a looky see what we'll wear today." I squeal as I bounce out of bed. I start to skip the short distance between the bed and the closet over exaggerating all my movements. I sweep the coat hooks aside closely examining each item. I decide on a floral pattern shirt and some 3/4 jeans. In the middle of putting my shirt on I hear a knock on the door.
"Are you up?" comes a muffled voice, I think it sounds like the guy from yesterday.
"Hang on one sec. I'm almost ready." I say cheerfully and smoothing out my shirt.
"Yep come on in!"
The lock clicks and the shaggy brown hair of they young man pops in.
"Well aren't you cheerier this morning. I am here to escort you to the dining hall were you shall be having breakfast. After you've finsihed I can then take you to the rec room."
I give him a big grin and bound towards him and looping my arm through his.
"Lead the way!" I glance at his name badge. "Lewis."
He seems quite surprised at my willingness and happiness. But I suppose that's expected when you first meet Harri and then get ignored by Rikki. I get simultaneous protests from them and cringe at the overwhelming noise in my head. But still this does not deter my excitement so for now I am still in control.

Before long I've been escorted to the dining hall eaten and now am making my way to the rec room. I'm so giddy that I'm jumping on the spot and Lewis keeps giving me funny looks, like he still can't believe I'm the same person. We reach the door to the rec room and he politely opens it for me. I thank him and skip inside. There aren't many people here but there is a group of 3 girls and a guy that look quite pleasant. I make my way over. I reach their little circle and they all stare up at me. Still smiling I introduce myself,
"Hi, I'm Teri!"

"Look he can't be in there for long!" Damon hissed at the wooden door. He's been locked in the room for only an hour and he could already tell he hated the place. His room was all in white, a window stood high above the north wall protected by bars and a pain mattress sat below it covered with the familiar Star Wars bedding from his old room. Aside from the bed, no other furnishings decorated the room. It was all white and empty, not even a single pillow. 'This was suppose to be an assylum, not a prison cell.' He thought to himself. He figured that the emptiness in his room was like a treatment, a messed up treatment for whatever he did. Did he do anything wrong though?

CLICK

He brought his attention to the door and watched ti open slightly. He followed the large man, knowing it was best not to resist. He asked the man about his twin whom refused to give him a response. He had to compose himself, he shouldn't be causing trouble, right now all he was thinking about was his brother.

At the end of the hall a male's shirt hung loosely around his skinny form as he followed after another nurse. His wild and unkempt hair was hidden under the red beanie, dark circles were visible under his emerald eyes--he hasn't had any sleep, long before their arrival. "Where's Damon?" was all Angel said since he was thrown into his room. He couldn't stand being in their, surrounded by all his belongings from home. That room would never be home, it was a cage.

The tired male dragged his feet behind the nurse as she led him into the recreation room. He saw a lot of young faces doing god knows what. How long would it be until he himself would end up like one of them? A year? A week? An hour? No! There was nothing wrong with him, he was a normal boy, so was his twin. They don't belong in a place surrounded by Psychopaths. Angel brought his thumb to his lips as he surveyed the area. He spotted a group of normal looking teenagers, but was far too shy--scared to be correct--to approach them.

"You think they'll be fine?" A voice called next to him, he didn't need to turn to see who it was.
"I don't know, Damon." The male said shifting his weight. "I don't think we should be talking to anyone from here."
"Oh, don't be a pansy, Angel!" Damon said taking his identical brother's arm and dragging him to the group.

"Hey, I was hoping you guys could help my brother, Angel, and I." He said to the group looking at each of them for a moment before speaking again. "We're sort of betting that not everyone in this place lives in loony-ville, I was hoping you guys could tell him you haven't lost your marbles."

Angel hissed angrily as his brother pulled him to his side. "D-damon," he whined at his twin. "You're making it sound like I'm a jerk." In all honestly, he was just scared. All he wanted was to go back into his room with Damon at his side, not with anyone else. Maybe he was going mad? He shook his head at the thought.

"I'm Damon," The taller male smirked as he introduced himself with pride. "And this little pansy here is, Angel."

Anger boiled through Jessica as the girl turned back to the television. She had just hit her weak spot, but before she could react, someone took a seat in one of the near chairs. Long hair, cute face, what was so wrong with him that he had to be sent here. Jessica had wondered about the other girl, but as soon as she spoke, she already knew. Well maybe not, considering being a bitch isn’t exactly an illness.

“Are you enjoying your time here?” The boy had asked, directing the question towards them both. “I think I’m gonna go blind with all the white around here. It’s depressing; it’s like their trying to make you feel crazy as well.” Though I’m not crazy. Jessica pulled her knees to her chest and rested her chin on top as 2 girls approached and introducing themselves as Dawn and Teri. ((Lol, sounds like Tom and Jerry)) Why was Dawn dressed like that?

“Hi.” Jessica smiled. Lorlei looked at them all, examining them like she had done with Jessica. “Wow, they’re sure bringing in a whole lot of new people... I don’t know if that’s a good thing, or a bad thing...” She watched as a few more people were released into the room, it obviously being their 'break time.'

"Hey, I was hoping you guys could help my brother, Angel, and I. We're sort of betting that not everyone in this place lives in loony-ville, I was hoping you guys could tell him you haven't lost your marbles.”

Lorlei let out a quick laugh as another two approached and gave him a strange look. “Don’t be silly, if you weren’t ‘loony,’ you wouldn’t be here, which is why I'm being released next week.” She said proudly.

Jessica stared at her again. What a snob. Though she did remind her of someone.

“Angel. That’s a unique name.” She smiled at the two, jealous of the bond they held. That also reminded her of someone, but to avoid breaking down, Jessica shoved it to the back of her mind, not allowing the picture to take form in her mind.
“I’m Jessica.” She said happily and relieved that all of these people, besides Lorlei, seemed nice, but I guess she hadn’t seen their other side quite yet.

Dawn blinked slowly as the two boys Angel and Damon approached. "Marbles? I love marbles! Where are they?" She asked, her smile bright as she looked up at them before glancing at everyone else. "Does anyone want to play?" She asked, completely clueless to the expression. She uncurled herself from the couch, trying not to take up so much space as she patted the empty spots next to her. "Come sit and join the party! We don't bite, at least I hope no one does." She said with a tiny chuckle before she looked over at Damon and Angel with a tiny pout. She wished she had older siblings..

Oh wait, she did.

And they left her with her parents.

Her face darkened slightly as she clutched the pillows tight in her hands, her nails slightly tearing the fabric before suddenly, her face went blank as fast as her expression darkened, almost like a switch had been turned on. Wait, I already got to them.. "Nevermind!" She called out, mainly speaking to herself with a smile on her face once more. She criss crossed her legs, placing the slightly abused pillow in her lap as she blew her bangs back into place.

For a moment, Dawn silently took in everyone, her mind forming opinions about them. It seemed like everyone was pretty nice, but she wasn't as stupid as she acted to be. She knew everyone had to be there for a reason, the real questions were 'What?' and 'Why?'. That's where things would get interesting considering what she had done at her age. She gave a tiny smirk, Seven years bad luck. Dawn thought, her own little private joke before she began to focus on the people around her. She tilted her head in wonder as she watched everyone interact around her, they all seemed normal which made the guessing game in her head a bit more fun.

"So, who's up for marbles?"

They all kinda of just looked at me. Then one of the girls who seemed to be suffocating herself with a pillow piped up.
"Hi I'm Dawn. And this is Issac, Jessica and Lorlei." She smiled and I smiled back. She patted the spot beside her and I came over and plonked myself down. Just as she sat down two identical boys walked towards the group.
"Hey, I was hoping you guys could help my brother, Angel, and I. We're sort of betting that not everyone in this place lives in loony-ville, I was hoping you guys could tell him you haven't lost your marbles.”
My anger flared that he could so blatantly accuse us of being crazy. Who does this shithole think he is? I pressed my hands to my temple as I struggled to keep my cool and not let Harri control. Why not!? We don't need Teri showing that we're some ditzy bimbo who thinks the world is made of rainbows and ponies! Of course, Rikki was there to offer a logical argument and I was grateful for her presence. Maybe so, but we don't want you insulting everyone and starting fights left, right and center. No I think we leave Harriet in control for now. We're finally stable for the minute.
"Thank you Rikki." I whisper.
While this was going on in my head the boys and sat down and Dawn was going on about some marbles. I just caught her saying,
"So, who's up for marbles?"
Now this girl is crazy, mutters Harri.
I look up and one I see one of the boys I think it was Angel staring at me before he turned quickly to look at Dawn. Hey he's kinda cute!
"No I think he was looking at me because he saw me rubbing my temples because you guys won't be quiet." I say under my breath.

Issac couldn't help but agree with the pretty blonde. He nodded right before two others approached them. The girl in the dress reminded him of a living doll, though he wasn't entirely sure that was a good thing. The other girl, Teri greeted them as well. He smiled at the two and introduced himself quickly before the twins arrived.

At first, he thought that maybe he was going crazy. But he soon realized that they were just identical twins. What if he had an identical twin instead of his sister? Then the twin could be in here rotting instead of him. He frowned a bit and looked at the boy who spoke first. "Hey, I was hoping you guys could help my brother, Angel, and I. We're sort of betting that not everyone in this place lives in loony-ville, I was hoping you guys could tell him you haven't lost your marbles.”

He was extremely tempted to answer in a demon sounding voice, but doing so might scare the others too. Before he could even open his mouth, Dawn jumped in like an excited child. Well, they sure knew why she was here... Issac looked at her. "Come sit and join the party! We don't bite, at least I hope no one does."

Issac grinned a bit. "I can't promise that," he told them in a serious voice. "Sometimes I get hungry." Maybe being here wasn't so bad after all. He would have the opportunity to mess with the others minds so as not to lose his.

“Don’t be silly, if you weren’t ‘loony,’ you wouldn’t be here, which is why I'm being released next week.”

"You're here aren't you?" he said to them, though particularly Lorlei. "And there's always a possibility of a relapse isn't there?" He normally wasn't this pessimistice, but something about the girl just made him angry. Her whole attitude was like a poison, and sure was working.

She chuckled softly at Issac's words, she was beginning to like this boy. "Biting sounds fun. I've never tried biting someone..." She said thoughtfully, looking up at the ceiling for a moment before glancing at Issac, "When you're hungry, I wanna see." She said with a nod, there was no way she was gonna miss it. She was starting to to drift into a daydream before she finally got a chance to hear one of the girls speak. If only she could remember her name.. It was something that started with an L...

Anyway. "Doesn't change the fact that you might be a crazy bitch!"

Dawn smiled wide with a tiny chuckle, clutching the pillow to her chest as she shook her head, her little girl act fading a bit. "Doesn't matter if you're being released next week or in the next 5 minutes. You're a psycho to be sent here to begin with!" She giggled again, waving her hand slightly. "Don't mean to laugh, it's just.. it's so funny!" She said, unable to find a better explanation for her laughter as she turned to Issac as he spoke once more.

"And there's always a possibility of a relapse isn't there?" she heard him asked as her eyes widened. "Oh god, I hope so." She said with a tiny sigh, "If no one did, then this place wouldn't be as exciting, right.. Lorlei?" She asked with a smile. Oh god..She was actually taking time learning the others names. Some insanity would have to happen soon before she had to stab an orderly or something..

"So, what is it? Are you crazy in the head? Talking to yourselves maybe?" She asked with an innocent tilt of her head.

She watched her with big blue eyes, waiting for any reaction to her words before she stood, tossing the pillow back onto the couch as she approached Lorlei, taking her hand into a her tiny pair. "Just kidding!" She sang as Dawn gave a her hand a light tug, trying to get Lorlei up on her feet. "Let's play, ok? I'm sure you don't plan to sit around being boring all day do ya?" Dawn asked as she gave another light tug, slightly getting impatient. "Come onnn, I'm boredddddd" She whined softly, a pout on her pink lips as she continued to tug.

"Play with meeee"

I can't concerntrate. Lorlei and Dawn have stood up and started talking, something about playing, leaving the rest of us here. I look up and try to remember names. There's the blonde girl Jessica, Issac and the twin boys Angel and Damon -although I can't remember whose who. It's kind of an awkward moment and I'm too nervous to say anything. So I relax, bend my head and release my hold praying that it's Teri who really wants control. My head pops up again and I feel so much better. A big grin is plastered to my face and I'm not shy any more. I just want these people to be my friends.
"So Angel... Damon... Both of you. How did you guys end up here?" I glance at both of them trying to invite them into conversation. They look a little confused that I've so suddenly changed.
"Because like you said you hope not everyone here is from Loony-ville. So doesn't that make you kinda looney for being here?" I can feel myself talking too much but I'm just a little bit overwhelmed. I rarely get control so it's all very exciting! Yeah, yeah enjoy it while you can. But please don't make us look so retarded. grumbles Harri.
"Relax I won't!" I say aloud. Now they're all looking at me quizzically.
"Oops. Sorry, don't mind me." I give them a sheepish grin and indicate that they can speak.

{OOC - ICryForAFamily, can you just do the reply. I'm not sure how you would react to her talking to herself plus it would be good from your point of view =)}

At first glance, the group seemed normal. But the moment they spoke, Damon changed his mind. "Maybe they are sort of--" Damon was cut off by his own brother with a harsh nudge. But who could help him the characters around him were odd. One seemed to think she was still a child, though that wouldn't seem like a bad a idea. Having to forget all your troubles. Spending everyday surrounded with nothing but cheer and happiness, not needing to worry about your pathetic brother. No need to support the damn thing and hold him when he's trembling in fear for god knows what. And no need to--NO! stop... The male shook the thoughts off his mind. He knew his responsibility and he had no right to complain.

Hearing the male made him glare for a bit, but then broke into a smile. "I think I might like this guy." He chuckled nudging his twin playfully as he squished himself into the spot. Maybe things won't be so bad, at least if he stuck with the right people.

Angel though had second thoughts about them, one seemed to whisper to themselves-- It scared the boy, who was she talking to? An Imaginary friend? A voice screaming in her head? A ghost? But who was he to talk? He could still see his mother even is she was long gone. The other seemed to come out of a toy box, the males seemed to be a fun character--though he can't help but see his troublesome brother in him. And one of them seemed to have a huge ego. A hiss escaped his lips as he glared at the female. "I hope you come visit soon," He said halfheartedly teasing the female.

He brought his attention to the female that introduced herself as Jessica, a light blush grew on his bony cheeks. "I-its nice to meet you, I'm Angel." Idiot! He pulled the red beanie lower trying to cover the embarrassment in his eyes as he took a seat next to his brother.

The twins brought their attention to the female's question. Why were they both there? The older twin feared the question, but he knew he needed to answer. He stole a few things, he beat a few people up, but shouldn't he be in jail, not some looney bin? Before he could think of an answer the girl screamed. She definitely belongs here Damon thought to himself as a smirk grew on his face. She might be fun to be with after all. On the other hand, his brother gripped onto his arm, terrified of her response. He sighed pulling his own arm from the boy.

"Well if you must know," Damon answered pulling the beanie over Angel's eyes teasingly. "Little guy here is sick, thinks mum's still here."
"She is here!" Angel hissed angrily pulling the hat off his head revealing the messy hazel locks. "And she'll be angry if you misbehave."
"Like I told you," Damon shook his head, ruffling the male's hair who in return blushed shyly. "But there is nothing wrong with me, no sir." Liar! A dark voice called to him. You steal for kicks! Literally. Damon payed no attention to the voice. He simply shrugged his shoulders and focused on his new acquainted. He leaned lower and began whispering to them. "That girl breaking out," He mentioned the female with Dawn. "Is she a friend of yours?"

Jessica glanced at Dawn, noticing the dark expression crossing her face, and then being replaced with a smile a moment later. "So, who's up for marbles?" She had said. Jessica smiled not really knowing what to say, she was getting a little anxious sitting there with a bunch of people who were obviously sent to, not one of the most friendliest asylums, out there. Where there people she should look out for? Why did that girl keep talking to herself? I mean, Jessica did occasionally see things, though the hallucinations did seem to light up a bit at the moment, but she would still never talk back so casually like that. The doctors should at least have given a more specific warning. Jessica looked back at Issac as he spoke, relieved she wouldn’t have to answer. It didn’t look like Dawn would have taken no for an answer though, anyways.

Hungry? Jessica’s eyes widened a little. Slightly creepy... Especially since she couldn’t tell whether he was being serious or not.
"I-its nice to meet you, I'm Angel." Jessica smiled as Angel introduced himself again.

Lorlei had turned back to the tv, hardly listening to what these new people were saying, though she did catch little bits of it. Something about a relapse, which she wouldn’t have to worry about. Something about biting, oh god, what freaks! And then, finally, something about a crazy bitch and being psycho. Lorlei shot her icy glare towards all of them. No pity. These people deserved whatever they had, and all they were to her was a distraction, and that's what they were trying to do: distract her from her recovery. Lorlei wouldn't let that happen though. She would push and shove and throw whatever cruel words she knew in her crooked little mind at them. She would never befriend a psychotic, maybe she could even play with them.

"So, what is it? Are you crazy in the head? Talking to yourselves maybe?" Dawn asked then pulling her up into a stand. Lorlei’s lips tightened, her nose almost flaring. Whether she was kidding or not, she didn’t care, Lorlei was a bit of a hot head to begin with before her problems, but it wasn’t her fault. Along with probably a few others, Lorlei also had family problems, and all she ever did was constantly remind herself about it. Lorlei grabbed her hand away from Dawn’s and turned around, leading herself as far away from them as she could

Jessica watched as Lorlei stormed away, sitting herself on one of the other couches at the opposite side of the room. She turned her gaze back to Dawn, waiting to see her reaction.

"That girl breaking out, is she a friend of yours?" She looked at Damon as he whispered to them. Jessica giggled quiet enough so it wouldn’t travel out of the circle. “I’d be surprised if she had any friends outside of this place.” She whispered.

“There will be 30 minutes until lunch to those of you who do not know. You will be eating in the cafeteria just across the hall.” A faded announcement came from a small speaker placed on the wall.

((Woo, slightly unorganized, my apologies I hadn't gotten much sleep last night, but that's okay ICryForAFamily! The minimum posting was 3 posts per week anyways. :) ))

Dawn just stood, watch Lorlei walk away from her without so much as a word to her. Her fist balled up at her sides, her eyes narrowed but other than that, she stood perfectly still. No one... She thought furiously, resisting the urge to run after the girl and beat her senseless. "No one.. has ever.." She muttered under her breath, her eyes flashing with anger. When you're asked to play. You play. If you didn't.. Let's just hope you're smart enough to play along. Lorlei, obviously, is not.

“There will be 30 minutes until lunch to those of you who do not know. You will be eating in the cafeteria just across the hall.”

Dawn blinked slowly, willing her body to relax as she heard the announcement. It was just her first day, she wouldn't do anything extreme. Not yet anyway. For now, she was going to play. Seeming to snap out of her little funk, she turned around to face everyone, a tiny smile on her face. "Well, I'm hungry!" She announced randomly, her hands clutched behind her back as she walked off to the cafeteria, humming as if Lorlei's rejection hadn't bothered her. She walked across the hall into the slightly empty cafeteria, the only people there were a couple of orderly scattered around and the lunch women-- behind caged bars of course.

"Damn.." She sighed softly before making her way over, grabbing a tray and filling her plate with all the junk she could see. She wasn't kidding when she said she was hungry but this was also her fuel for tonight. She smiled and waved at the lunch women before sitting with her mound of food at one of the tables. She started to eat as she stared off at one of the walls, her body seeming to go through the motions of eating and not really tasting before her eyes slide over to the doorway. If no one came soon, she'd have to start off her first day with some excitement.

Issac looked at Teri as she had a sudden, um, outburst? One down, six to go. He wasn't quite sure about Dawn yet, thinking it was just the way she was-perky and childish. There were people like that in this world. She looked sad as the mean girl who had made it a point to tell them she was leaving mimicked what she would be doing in whatever amount of days.

Dawn seemed hurt and he wanted to comfort her. He was only human. But then an announcement came on. “There will be 30 minutes until lunch to those of you who do not know. You will be eating in the cafeteria just across the hall.”

Dawn left almost immediately. Issac stood and followed her. Though the announcement had said in half an hour, it seemed that the tiny girl had gotten food anyway. Unsure of whether to get food as well, he decided he could always get it later. He sat down at the same table as Dawn. "I'll play with you after we're done eating, unless we have to go back to our rooms," he offered. At heart, he really was an outgoing and friendly person. "What kind of games do you like to play? I personally like hide and seek. There are probably tons of places to hide around here." He spoke to her almost as if she were a child, but still saw her more as a teen.

He was sure playing hide and seek would also be a good way to scout paths out of here. Not that this wasn't a lovely place or anything, plus the people were so friendly and accepting of you.

She watched Issac with silence, interest in her eyes before they brightened at his offer. "Really? You'd play with me?" She squealed, clasping her hands together as she chuckled. Finally, someone who wanted to play! "What kind of games do you like to play? I personally like hide and seek. There are probably tons of places to hide around here." Her eyes widened at the suggestion, bobbing her head loosely as she thought about all the rooms that the building held.

"That's perfect! I can't wait now" She said with a smile, her whole mood brightened for now as she turned and began to eat again before nudging her tray over a bit. "Want some?" She asked as she eyed her pick of food, she'd literally grabbed everything. Meatloaf (She assumed), carrots, mash potatoes, corn, cake (Chocolate! ), etc..

"I'm a growing girl you know." She said with a sure nod as she popped a carrot in her mouth as she chewed thoughtfully, letting her thoughts rattle in her head as she enjoyed some more of her lunch before she turned back to Issac. "Why are you here?" She asked curiously, hoping to get a straight answer from him. Everyone was so shy about their 'illness' and the therapist there liked to call it. She was rather proud of hers. She beat bad luck.

She survived.

"Since you mentioned being hungry earlier... Did you eat someone?" She asked with wide eyes, like a child being sucked in into a story. If only she had thought to do something that creative, she would've. Then her eyes flickered to the doorway, the others were just across the hall. She wonder why they had to hide, what secrets did they have? Especially Lorlei.. "I wonder what Lorlei did.." She added as an afterthought before returning her attention back to him.

It seemed that it was down to only being the twins, jessica and myself. The boy Angel seemed similar to me except he was a lot more paranoid and seemed to have his mother in his head. At least I just had myself. Although it was really Damon that I was more nervous about although at the same time he excited me. Why would he be here? Of course curiosity got the better of me.
"And what about you Damon? Why are you here. It can't just because you wanted to be here for your brother. So what did you do?" I tilted my head, trying to decipher what he could have done. He probably was admitted for being an asshole. I would want him out of society too if it were my choice. Harri, there are worse things than being an asshole. He could have been violent like yourself in which case I'm sure you too would get along splendidly. Shut the hell up Rikki.
"Shh you guys. Let him answer the question." I looked back up at him waiting for an answer.

Issac looked down at the contents of Dawn's tray. He couldn't decide if it looked worse or better than school food. Then again, he'd been out of high school for a year or two... he didn't really remember. "Um, yeah. I'll have some chocolate cake." He hoped that she wasn't too eager to eat that and stab him with a fork. Actually, that would be pretty funny. Then he could stab her back and- did they have knives here? Because knives were much better for drawing blood.

He shook his head and looked back at Dawn as she asked why he was here. "Since you mentioned being hungry earlier... Did you eat someone?" He wondered how many of the group had taken him seriously when he'd said that. "No, I didn't eat anybody. I sorta just murdered my family's dog when he bit me. Then they found some carcasses in the woods behind our neighborhood and my sickle." He kept his voice quiet, not wanting the others across the hall to hear him. "I was given the option of coming here or going to jail for animal cruelty. I figured coming here would be better, though I'm not quite sure if it is yet." He took a bite of the slice of cake, eating it with his fingers.

"I wonder what Lorlei did.." Issac laughed a bit. He was wondering the same thing. He shrugged. "I don't know, but she seems happy to be getting out of here. Wonder who she bribed," he muttered, then chuckled. He was almost certain the rest of the group found her as irritating as he did, even the one that talked to herself.

He took another biter of cake, finding it to be very dry. He stood up and walked over to the lunch line. He grabbed a plastic cup and poured himself some milk, because it seemed that there was no water or soda at the moment. "But I guess I'm not one to judge," he continued, sitting back down. "She could be a completely sane person." His tone was slightly sarcastic. "Anyway, if you don't mind me asking, why are you here?"

I was given the option of coming here or going to jail for animal cruelty. I figured coming here would be better, though I'm not quite sure if it is yet."

Her eyes widen in awe as he explained what he did, she sat for a moment, thinking it over. "Hmm I never thought about animals before..." She murmured softly as she popped a piece of cake in her mouth herself. She couldn't help but giggling at the mention of Lorlei and her 'Sanity'. "I don't know, but she seems happy to be getting out of here. Wonder who she bribed," She snorted, "Probably who she slept with.. It gets you a long way you know?" She smirked, sneaking a sip of his milk as she smiled at his next question.

"Anyway, if you don't mind me asking, why are you here?"

Finally, someone to explain her wonderful deeds to! Oh where to start though? She chuckled, "7 years bad luck!" She said simply before popping another peice of food in her mouth, chewing thoughtfully before swallowing. "7 years of beatings, sexual abuse, being controlled. But I beat it." Her eyes flashed with pride as she turned and faced Issac with a smile. "I was 7 when I finally snapped. First, I killed the man that was trying to touch me. I bit off more then I could chew, if you get what I mean" She smirked with a waggle of her eyebrows before continuing on. "Then I went to my mom first. Sweet, dear mom. I made sure to keep her immobile, I made her watch like she watch me being abused all these years. Then I went to my dad." She smiled. "Gave him a little taste of what I had been getting. Have you ever seen a man so afraid of his 7 year old daughter?" She laughed this time, almost doubled over as she tried to control her giggles.

"I'll save his tale for another time. I've been in mental institutes since the cops picked me up that day. I went after my siblings next when they came to visit me. I had to be smart though and play it sane for awhile before they were able to visit me without so much security. Crayons and markers can be used for so much more instead of coloring" She chuckled, then spread out her arms. "Been hospital hopping since then. Met a great bunch of people, had my fair share of fights. So far, I'm starting to warm up to this place."

Jessica watched as Dawn and Issac left a few minutes early to eat, and then back to the others still remaining. "And what about you Damon? Why are you here. It can't just because you wanted to be here for your brother. So what did you do?” Teri had said then whispering to herself something Jessica couldn’t recall. Strange. But really, what is strange anymore? Jessica waited for Damon to answer, curious as to what he would say.

A few minutes later, Jessica headed into the cafeteria and grabbed a tray full of food. She overheard the squeaky sound of Lorlei’s voice trying to convince one of the patients to let her go in front of them. The guy obviously let her go without a problem, though the male seemed barely present in his own body. Jessica frowned, she wasn’t normally this goody goody, but Lorlei wasn’t exactly in her good books so far. “How could you take advantage of someone like that? You know, one day someone’s going to give it to you, and I don’t mean their spot in line.” She snarled, annoyance burning through her eyes.

Lorlei simply looked at her, a loud laugh escaping her mouth. “You think any of them...” She gestured to everyone in the room. “...Will be able to do that? You do, then you really are crazy.” She smirked again and walked off, finding her place at an empty table where she could pick at her food. Jessica quickly wiped the anger off her face and followed behind Lorlei. She slapped her tray of food lightly onto the table, jamming her chocolate cake into Lorlei’s face, along with the rest of the food on her plate. Jessica took a step back and looked at Lorlei as if she were a painting she had just completely. “Maybe, maybe not, but at least I know I can.” She smiled again and began walking off, but was soon stopped by a bitten-into-apple that came flying into the back of her head. Anger filled Jessica’s face again, and one of the more sane ones yelled out. “FOOOD FIGHTTT.” And soon the room was being drowned in flying food. Some people joined in, some just sat there, while others sat underneath the table in true fear.

Jessica turned and ran out of the cafeteria and sitting against the wall outside of it as 4 large men ran past in attempt to put the food fight to a halt.

Bad idea, Jess. She thought to herself.

I listened to Damon's reply intrigued. We all just sat in silence and after a while Jessica got up and left to follow Dawn and Issac so now I was just left with Angel and Damon. It was definitely more than a little awkward so I spoke up,
"Do you want to go get something to eat?"
They looked at each other and I waited for their reply. We ended up going to the cafeteria and standing in line. In front of us were Lorlei and Jessica and it was clear that Jessica was not pleased with the other girl. Before I even realised what had happened Jessica had full of jammed chocolate cake into Lorleis face. It was hilarious and her face was a picture of hell. Pure fury was evident. In no time at all the room was filled with food being flung around. In the commotion I had lost sight of Damon but Angel was still there looking absolutely terrified. I grabbed his hand and lead him under a near by table. He narrowly missed getting some sort of meat thrown at his head but I was unfortunate enough to get hit in the back by an apple, still whole thankfully. This is awesome! chimed in Teri. Yeah but who's that shithead that through that apple at us? You'll never find out who Harri so there's no point looking for a fight.
"Angel are you alright?" I looked at him and waited for his reply. The idiot really is insane, look how scared he is!
"Harri shut up!" I said fiercely and looked back up at Angel.

Issac listened carefully as Dawn spoke. Well, they both knew why she was here. She was definitely, dangerously insane. But she had a reason for killing her parents, just like he somewhat had a reason for killing the dog. The way she laughed reminded him of a child, as if she were still seven years old. Perhaps that was why she was dressed like a little doll, because she still saw herself as that? Maybe she wasn't aware of all the time that had passed since she was seven.

He turned at the sound of someone yelling "food fight!" He looked at Dawn, then at the other patients as they stood and began to throw things at each other. He could just make out Jessica's blonde hair as she dashed into the hall, away from the fight.

He decided that he would let the employees take care of this. There was no use in getting into trouble on the first day. Unless somebody gave him a sickle, he was staying right where he was. A cup of orange juice hit him and soaked his upper body. He frowned and considered leaving.

"Food Fight!!"

Dawns eyes brightened at the sound as food began to fly, she had never been in a food fight before. "How exciting!" She cried out as she stood, chucking her food, along with the plate, at someone as she hide behind Issac just as a cup of orange juice hit his chest. When she noticed the frown on his face, she reached from behind him to poke his cheek. "Have some fun and play! Gah-!" She called to him before being nailed in the face with a piece of cake. She blinked a moment before wiping her face off and flinging her tray in the direction of the thrown cake, angry at first but starting laughing with it caught a guard at the back of his head. She watched him stumble before he turned angrily to find whoever threw it, but once he spotted Dawn pointing and laughing at him, she began to stomp towards her.

She kept chuckling as she began to throw globs of food at him, watching him slip and stumble to dodge her before her reached her and yanked her up by her wrist sharply. "Ow! That's not nice!" She frowned, fighting against him. With a well placed kick to the crotch, she slipped her hand free long enough to grab a plastic fork and stab it into his face. She was aiming for his eye but he recovered fast enough to where she got his cheek instead. Oh well, beggers can't be choosers.

She dug it in as hard as she could before she was yanked back by other guards, her hands pinned behind her back as they roughly bend her over the table to keep her from fighting. She giggled as she thrashed, even when her head collided with the table she was chuckling before they yanked her up and escorted her out along with a few other patients they managed to get free. "Guess we'll have to play later Issac!" She called out to him as they dragged her down the halls to a solitary confinement room that she was tossed into a little too rough before locking her in for the day.
