Introduction
Desmodn is dead, and this time he isn't coming back. Kalen is comatose, and surrounded by guards so that when she wakes she dies. Shad is imprissioned beneath the pyramids, his Father his jail keeper. Arabella has been stripped of her magic and caged beneath the Council Chambers. Aiden is chained and forced to fight daily in the Games where he is to kill those who don't follow the Hirules or their new council. Star is brainwashed and used by Charon's Family. Keira is locked away inside the gate along with Jayden and Adelle. And where are the humans Amber and Jamie? They are on the run, aided by the few creatures who still remain that are brave enough to stand against the new Hirule Empire, hunted around the globe everywhere they go as the two most wanted humans in history. Dead or Alive... why?
Because as hopeless as it seems Desmond knew one thing that can save the human race and stop this new Hirule Empire, and before he died he told them.
The most powerful creatures ever to walk the Earth are all defeated, and most can't even think about fighting back, yet an underground is forming. They take the monsters who are hiding from the Hirules and the new Council and aid them in their escapes, hoping that soon someone will rise to challenge them.

He looked over at the bedroom area, where he had last seen Amber, going to sleep probably, it was one of the few places in the large home that was still warm. The hole in one side let out alot of heat, even with the sheet they had hung to cover it. He wondered if the Hirule's could see the smoke rising, but had to remind himself not the be paranoid. One, there wasn't that many Hirules in the city, but there were alot in the Castle. Two,the entire city was full of random smoke stacks at anygiven time. The Hirule hadn't burned the whole town, but they had caused alot of damage. Then the humans happened to cause even more, there had been a battle there when the Humans had tried to fight back, it was foolish but they did it, they went to the places were the monsters made camp and attacked, and failed. Even their atomic attack on the Gate had failed to do more then bring on more wrath of their new masters. It was easy to spot a Hirule, now, they weren't as dirty or hopeless looking like humans, in fact it was easier still to see the bad Hirules.
The Hirules weren't here by choice, they were each normally kind hearted, but rather they had fallen into line behind a Hierarch. "Just like my father..." Artemis said to himself as these thoughts crossed his mind. he kicked at a pile of old books in anger. The Hirule who served the Hierarch aren't of their own minds, they are cruel looking and have blank eyes, and no matter the color of the stone on their rings, its always gleaming red. Artemis looked at his own ring... Blue, the color of his families stone, in fact it was the families stone... or more presiesly, his father's. "That bastard!" he hissed and pulled the ring off, throwing it off to the side toward the bedrooms.

He wasn't going to come find her, pick her up, and tell her to keep moving this time. She was on her own. Her fingers raked the cold ground and she pushed herself up. She had to make it to the safe house he could be waiting there for her. Her chest filled with the crisp winter air making her cough with exhaustion. Her father used to run like this for fun?
Finally reaching her feet she took another step forward and managed to pick up the speed again. She had to be close by now there was a pillar of smoke in the distance and what looked like a large eerie building past that, the smoke must be it she thought and built up more speed. Almost there! She surged forward with unnatural speed and finally saw the house, there was smoke coming out of the chimney but there was a huge chunk taken out of it and an abandoned look to it. Maybe she found the wrong place, no, someone was there. She began to slow down her energy drained.
She neared the entrance and began to collapse her vision failing her. Lifting up a sheet that served as a temperary wall she entered to first see the angry young man within her eyes widened in fright and weakly turned to run, it was another one of them. But she couldn't run she couldn't see, her hand slid down the sheet as she fell to the ground.
Ella was out cold.

She focused to see what the girl was, and shook her head. The same thing Jamie had been; and there were few of those that existed. It was entirely possible the two were related. "I think we can trust this one, Adrien; she looks like someone I knew." Because she could see a little bit of Jamie there. What had happened that she would end up here, though? And where was Jamie? She glanced around, then edged a little towards the sheet, listening, just in case there were any Hirules that had followed her.
Arlayna woke up as she heard the ring hitting the wall, but didn't bother to move. Not when she heard that her brother was already moving. She heard the thud as someone fell, and got up curiously, poking her head into the main room, watching the girl curiously. They didn't get many visitors, and fewer still were not Hirule. And this one wasn't Hirule. She stayed against the wall, watching quietly before walking into the room, glancing between the sheet and the girl. Desmond had done something to hide the house years before - at least, her mother said so, she wasn't sure, since he was a Hirule - and so she shouldn't have been able to find the place. So how had she found them? She glanced into the glasses her brother was heating up, then looked back to the girl. "...She's not any of those Hirule...so I don't see why we shouldn't trust her..." she mumbled, barely loud enough for adrien to hear.

"Shit," Kage swore as he took off at a run. His nose was bleeding and the loss of blood made him dizzy. He lost blood faster than a human and he didn't have that much to spare before he had caught a demon's fist with his face. The man who had tried to stake him pushed through the mansion wall and looked furious. Half of his face was burnt and still sizzling from where holy water had been dumped. Charon spread his great black wings and Kage tried running even faster. He was screwed if Charon got close to him. He made it outside into the sun where there were shadows and Kage slipped into one, becoming a shadow himself. That's when the imps attacked.
Shadowy imps could affect him in this state and Kage was learning this the hard way as Charon let his minions try and take him. "If you ever show your face here again I will stake you!" Kage continued running as stakes were thrown past him at a deadly speed. Kage looked back to see Charon going back into the destroyed mansion and Kage sighed. He hadn't been able to get what he wanted (althought messing up Charon's face was good for him), his mom.
Kage continued at a sprint before he realized just how much blood he had lost. And it was a simple nose bleed! Kage's fangs ached as did his soul. He was hungry and thirsty and he didn't know where a nearby cemetary was. He needed a necromancer with him! But those were scarce that would openly give him a soul to eat.
He began sniffing around before catching onto the smell of a human. He followed the scent which brought him to a destroyed house which looked vaguely familar. Then he heard a voice that he recognized from his past. "Amber!" He shouted, running up to the house. He went inside, gasping for breath and looking for the human. He was older than any of the kids there, but he didn't look it. He grew at a strange rate. His hair was sticking up at random spots with his clothes torn. He usually dressed nicely but he hadn't been able to since he started spying on the demon. He glanced around the group and waved at anyone he didn't know. "Hiya, I'm Ka-" he stopped as he realized there was a hirule there. "Who the hell are you!?" He shouted, immediately taking up a defensive stance.

"Morning dad," she said to the pelt as if it could hear her. She sat down at the kitchen table where she had left her brown leather bag that her mother had enchanted to hold as much as she needed. She stuffed her sword in there as she ate out of a tin can. She licked her lips when she was done and headed upstairs to get dressed. Today was the day, so she would be wearing her finest hunting outfit. A black leather tank with leather leggings and black boots. She looked deadly in the outfit and it complimented her curves. She was about a foot taller than her mom, but a spitting image of Arabella's face. Except her eyes were usually slitted and she wasn't scared to death of every little thing.
Freya stepped out into the sun as the neighbor's dogs began barking. She gave a hiss to them and they shut up and ran away with their tails between their legs. She smiled triumphantly before thinking where to head off first. She had hunted many humans in the past, but they were simple hunts. She wasn't going after the biggest human in history. She disappeared with a flash of lightning and the bolt of electricity could be seen as she travelled. Nothing could catch her since she was as fast as lightning. Her mother had given her hints of their hideout so she would head there first. She found a tree nearby an abandoned house and sat in a limb. A boy ran in, screaming that certain human's name and Freya smiled maliciously. She decided sitting outside and waiting for her prey would be best. She didn't think anyone would care about a cat sitting in a nearby tree. It was all black with red and blonde stripes like lightning bolts across its pelt.

"You can't go running off like that!" he whispered harshly, "You could have gotten us killed or worse, caught." He gave her a one eyed glare. This was the third time this week she'd almost ruied their cover. Damn brat, it'd be so much easier without her, maybe he wouldn't have to constantly have to keep running.
The demon stood and offered her a hand, "Come on we don't have all night. Let's try to find somewhere safe for you to sleep." One more night hiding under a broken tree wouldnt kill them, though it wasn't much harder than the beds at Carnes. A boot camp that had become, fit for nothing more than the common rat. Locke was keeping up a quick pace when he noticed a faint light between the tree trunks. He motioned for Ronny to pause before chancing a glance. It turned out to be nothing more than a house, the light coming from the window, a fire perhaps? Was it worth the risk? It could mean allies, and shelter...but on the other hand. Locke touched his chain sythe reassuringly, they could fight them off.
"Come on Ronny, let's have a look."

She wasn't too sure about trusting the girl herself, but their mother had said otherwise, and she wasn't about to argue with her. Her brother, on the other hand, she didn't mind arguing with on occassion. She took a sip, turning her attention to the fire instead, more intent on listening to the others than arguing anymore. After all, it was late, and cold, and she was tired still. She wasn't exactly in the mood to keep arguing. And anyway, it wasn't like she needed to worry so much when the girl looked to be exhausted. She looked up curiously when someone else came running in...shouting her mother's name. Who knew her that would yell like that? She certainly didn't recognize this boy. But he knew her mother...and she seemed to recognize him...but still....
Amber shook her head, listening to the twins. How they managed to argue so often was beyond her. She shook her head, turning to make sure the girl was covered, but paused, hearing her name. She looked up to see Kage, and shook her head again as he shouted at Artemis. "It's fine, Kage; he's not with the rest of the Hirules. Now...look at the mess you're in! What were you doing to make that big a mess of yourself?" she asked, before shaking her head again. "You know, I'm not too sure I want to know. Umm..." She went to get a rag and dipped it in a little bit of water and held it out to him. "At least try to stop your nose from bleeding so much; sit down and tilt your head back, that should help."
She hadn't seen him in a while; she was surprised he had even recognized her, or even that she recognized him. But then, she did see him often enough during high school, whenever she saw Star outside of school. She glanced at the cup Adrien had handed her, then between Kage and the girl that had shown up, then closed her eyes. Why did it seem like he was getting himself into more trouble than his parents ever did? Or maybe she just didn't remember all the trouble his parents had gotten into as well as she remembered the trouble he was getting into...simply because this was more recent. Or maybe it was just because he couldn't really see either of his parents; not with Shad locked away and Star with Charon's family. "Maybe you should stay here a little while...might be able to keep you out of trouble that way..." she mumbled.

"I am hungry and want m&m's now!" She complained, she then promptly sat down on the ground. "And my feet hurt!" She was holding onto Locke's hand tightly, but the other hand was holding a zombie's. Due to Locke's crazy fast pace (she didn't think he realized how short her legs were), Veronica had torn the zombie's arm off. He didn't seem to mind though. He also had a chipmunk and squirrel running in and out of his ears. Locke seemed to tense up and Veronica knew to shut up when he did. She let go of both of the boys' hands and pulled her hat off. After a minute of digging around she found her scythe. She accidentally hit Locke in the face with hit as she pulled it out, but it was the blunt side. He'd be alright. What's the worse that could happen? She poke out his other eye?

Kage then looked down at another girl who was unconcious and his fangs ached again. He groaned as he realized how low on blood he was and she smelled so delicious! Within an hour he would probably be in a blood coma and he was still resisting the unconcious and vulnerable girl. She probably wouldn't even feel it! He eyed the young girl on the floor's throat first, before looking over at Amber's throat longingly. Lucky for them, a noise outside caught his attention and made his black fox ears twitch. "You have more company," he said, worriedly. He stood up, ready to fight against whatever was outside, despite the one voice sounding childish. His hand reached down to the holy water just in case it was one of Charon's friends.

The demon turned to the girl, "So we- oof! Aw what the hell you damn f-" He rubbed his forehead, "You couldve taken my freaking eye out!!" The boy adjust his eyepatch, "And the good one at that." He turned around muttering to himself about idiot girls and their stupid hats.
After a while he turned back to the shorter of the two, "Alright theres a house just beyond these trees, no idea who lives there. You up for a battle?" He wouldn't normally ask but Veronica looked tired, and he could alrady see the falter in her steps. Locke wasn't stupid, he new her limits, but tonight safty and shelter was their main concern. They already had ditched their persuers, but they already went through their limited food supplies. He watched his sister wondering how much longer they had to put up with this twisted game.

"If you get m&m's I want some, too!" the chipmunk chirped excitedly, but Rocky rolled her eyes.
"Why would you have any chocolate? Do you want to get any fatter than you already are?" Rocky asked, obviously annoyed. Ronny thought that the squirrel was talking to her at first and stopped in her tracks. Veronica was extremely skinny so being called fat had to be ajoke. She then realized it was the overweight chipmunk that was being scorned.
"Ssshhhhh," Veronica said obnoxiously, althought no one but Locke and Veronica could hear the two woodland creatures on her shoulders. They would be able to see them however. Veronica peaked into the curtain and then hopped through after finding nice-looking people.
"Hiya!" Veronica shouted, extremely bubbly at the prospect of new friends and possible candy. "Who are you?" She asked as if she was the one who had been there the whole time and they were the intruders.

She had recognized the look Kage had given the girl, and then herself. She had been around Shad long enough to know what that look meant, but at least he seemed to be able to control himself. She figured she'd have to see about getting that taken care of soon enough. Otherwise, there would be problems later; like him losing that control, or the blood coma she had seen Shad go into before. But before she got to that, she'd have to find something to do about the guests; she recognized a little of the girl that had just come in, so she wasn't overly worried about her. But any Hirules that had noticed she had to keep out. She shrugged, walking away from the sheet and towards the others. "Come in, I suppose; don't need you lot freezing out there. But...try to be a little quieter, will you?" As she passed Kage, she whispered, Leave the girl alone; if you can wait a little bit, you can have some of mine." Aiden hadn't been too fond of that idea when Shad had been taking her blood, and she had no doubt Adrien and Arlayna wouldn't take to the idea, either. But he was half-vampire, and did need blood. She had grown so used to that before, anyway, that she figured it wouldn't bother her too much. But, because she was sure the twins wouldn't approve, and because she wasn't sure any of the others really wanted to see a vampire feeding, she'd have him wait, just until everyone went back to sleep for the night.
Arlayna winced as the girl ran in, shouting. They were supposed to be hiding...and their mother only scolded the girl about it, and rather gently, too. This wasn't going to end well. She was losing her patience; she didn't know or trust any of these people well, and it bothered her that they all seemed to be coming in during the same night. Why? And how were they finding them? Clearly Desmond hadn't hid the house well enough, she figured, and was rather pleased with the thought; he was a Hirule, after all. She stayed closer to her brother, not trusting all these others; she might have stayed nearer her mother but she was closer to them than Adrien was. "How long do you think until the Hirule notice us?" she asked him in a whisper, glancing around the others. Surely it wouldn't be too long...unless Desmond hadn't though to keep out anything but the Hirules. In which case, it wouldn't end well. It wasn't as if the Hirules were the only ones that would be after them; there had to be some sort of reward for anyone else that caught them and brought them to the Hirules...what that might be, though, she had no clue, and was't entirely sure she wanted to know.

"Can Rump and Rocky stay here, too?" She asked, the chipmunk waved while the squirrel gave a look that could kill.
"It smells like wolves in here," Rocky said, obviously disgusted.

"I dunno... hold on," Ronny said. "Do any of you have m&m's?"

"Hello," Freya said, trying her best to be friendly and her smile was extremely forced. "It's really cold outside and I've been running from HIrules for the last few days. May I stay with you?" She asked, her eyes resting first on Amber and then the hirule. Was he a traitor? She wondered how much he would be worth should she keep him alive. She noted the hungry look on the one boy's face and immediately recognized him as a vampire. That's when she noticed the girl on the ground.
"Hey, that's not polite," Freya said to the unconcious girl, nudging her hard in the ribs with her boot. After the lack of the girl's response, Freya let a bolt of electricity fly from her hand and into the girl's body. "Get up," she ordered. The electricity would have healed Ella, but it wouldn't be all warm and fuzzy. It would be extremely painful. Freya realized that she might've just lost the trust of everyone else in the room by being rude so she forced a smile and a wide-eyed expression. She looked exactly like Arabella when she did so maybe a few would immediately pawn her off for being her daughter.
"I have some m&m's," she said to the short girl, reaching into her leather pouch and pulling a bag out. "Chocolate is a witch's best friend." She smiled and her choker seemed to be charged with magic. There were three gems on the silver band: purple, green and gold. It was obvious it was an important magical item by the way it almost glowed.

...Only to be met with a group of wide eyed faces and a woman scolding his sister. The demon surveyed the room searching for any sign of a threat. Only the tense face of what must've been a vampire worried him. Locke returned his weapon to his side before keeling next to his sister and grabing her shoulders, "Veronica Livre. I told you to wait, do you realize how easily you could've been killed! You can't do that."
He stood and was about to introduce himself to the woman in charge, when a girl apeared in the doorway. Even he, being as apathetic to these matters as he could, had to admit she was very pretty. Her entrance though seemed...not unwilling per se... more like she didn't want to be here, but had to. He glared at her suspiciously, watching as she offered his sister candy.
After he deemed her not an imediate threat he offered his hand to the woman in charge, "My name is Locke Livre. My sister and I are sided against the hirules, can we count you as an ally?"

She turned her attention to the other boy, who had his hand held out to her. She reached out her free hand to shake his, the glass still in the other. "Yes, I suppose you can consider us allies in that respect. But we've had more visitors tonight that we've had in a year; we're hiding here from the Hirule, but we may have more attention drawn to us now than we would have liked." She glanced around, debating over what Adrien had said, and trying to think of places they might be able to go if they did have to run. She shook her head. "We'll stay here until the girl wakes up, on her own," She cast a meanignful look around the room; she meant for them not to wake her, since she probably needed the rest. "Unless the Hirule attack. In that case, I want one of you to carry her until she wakes up." She nodded to the twins. And, if things got too bad, and Kage couldn't get the blood he needed, the other might have to carry him; she hoped not. It would slow them down enough to carry one of them.
She glanced back at Locke, since he had introduced himself. "I'm Amber, but I'm not so sure we have time for these introductions. Keep quiet, so we don't attract any more attention to ourselves."
Arlayna glanced at Adrien, then back to the three newcomers that had come in. Adrien was frightened, and, as usual, she found it hard to tell whether hers or his was greater. She didn't like these people, didn't trust them. Their mother didn't seem to mind any of them, but then if anyone looked like their parents, like anyone of her old friends, of course she would trust them. That might cause trouble...but it wasn't exactly as if she could scold her own mother like that. So that left her with nothing she could do but be careful and pay attention to them, just in case. She shifted uncomfortably; she was used to her brother acting like this, like she wasn't their mother, but she could never manage it. More often, she ended up being quiet when things like this happened. "...There's too many people..." she mumbled, shifting uncomfortably again.

Suddenly a building came into veiw. Aurora paused and watched two people head into the building, followed shortly after by another. After a minute she slinked up next to the curtain that was covering a hole in the wall. She paused when she heard someone mention a witch, she wasn't very fond of witches. Then there was some yelling about being found. And another voice mentioning being against the hirules. And yet another voice saying that there were too many people. For a split second she debated on moving on, but she figured, what the hell im already here.
She pulled the blanket back a little and peaked around it, "Room for one more?"

"There's not really that much room for one more..." Kage said quietly to the newest girl that had came in. He was holding his head, trying to control himself as his fangs buried into his bottom lip. The demon was still debating on whether or not to grab Veronica and head out when the prettiest girl he'd ever seen peeked her hear in through the doorway. She had vibrant orange hair and the most amazing blue eyes, even in the dim light he could tell. The boy felt his face flush and he averted his eyes trying to ignore her presense.
He decided to distract himself by focusing on the others conversation. But of course the others noticed the girl and spoke to her. The vampire talked to her, denying the girl's request, Locke frowned and spoke on her behalf, "I don't need to stay inside, I won't be sleeping anyways. Let her in and I'll patrol the area outside or something." He couldn't imagine them having a problem with it, though it may cause a bit of a fit from Veronica. Oh well, the damn brat would live.

A bright light filled her dreams and a sudden pain echoed through her entire body with a burning sensation that made get fingers twitch as sparks flew from them. She cursed herself, she was beyond foolish for falling infront of a hirule like that. She felt dead, unable to move her body. Sparks continued flying off her fingers until she regained control clenching her fist and capturing a hand full of electricity.
Crimson cat ears popped out of her head and she lifted herself off the ground her golden eyes slit and bloodthirsty. Ella chucked the ball of energy at the girl with the darkest aura.
There was a new energy within her after that attack, the tips of her hair may have been singed and her body was still trembling but it was quickly adapting to the jolt, she forced herself not to fully copy the ability she just needed to counter that one attack now she could work with her own skills.
She let the blanket on her slip to the floor and she leaped up and snatched the bow from her pouch allowed it to expand and took aim at the girl.

"Really now; that's enough! This place is in ruins as it is, we don't need to make it worse. And we all have to try to avoid the notice of the Hirule, if they hadn't already noticed us. Calm down." She glanced at the newest girl, then nodded to Kage. "Come on; I need to talk to you for a minute." The fact was, she didn't need to talk to anyone, but she needed to think...but she had also promised him a bit of blood, and she wasn't about to do that where the twins could see, and not when she didn't know how the others might react. She turned to head to the bedroom she had been sleeping in earlier, glancing back to make sure Kage was following, and shooting a glance to Adrien and Arlayna in a silent attempt to make them stay there, and keep an eye on everyone else.
Arlayna took note of her mother's glance as she left, then glanced over the others. Hesitantly, she stepped between the two girls, hoping the one that had been unconscious would stop if someone else was between them, and hoping the other wouldn't retaliate with her there. While she didn't really care if the two killed each other, they couldn't have a fight there, not when it might attract so much attention. She glanced around the room, looking over everyone, and then back to her brother. She didn't really want to move away from him, but something needed to be done. Their mother had told them not to fight; she was only making sure that didn't happen, was all. She turned her attention warily to the bow she held, hoping she wouldn't try to fire it with her in the way when she hadn't done anything to attack the girl herself.

Re: [OOC] Carnes: Broken Worlds
The issue is that the cities up there arent' meant for this kind of weather. THere's a reason in Charleston the tallest building is a church steeple (Actually, thats an old law but besides that) its cause hurricanes screw tall buildings up. If you're in New Yor kand you're reading this get out now, those buildings are gonna become a wund tunnel and a breeze of 45 outside the city is gonna skyrocket to a rushing wind of 80 inside the city. After that the storm surge is goona flood that whole island, This isn't a wave people, thats a 20 foot tall (above average sea level) solid wall of water. IT moves in and it stays, it's not going anywhere unlike a tidal wave which hits and reseads.
Shad, the storm itself isn't the issue, its the places its gonna hit. If you're in the coastline of North Carolina you'll be used to it, but if youre in virginia or Maryland this things gonna be bad for you.
In closing, Yes Shad, be prepared, but unless you're in a big city and or near a waterfront i wouldn't evacuate. But also be aware that if you're place has mudslides or something that thisthing is big but not fast. It's gonna dump water on everything within a 150 mile radius and that water is gonna be there for a long time. Get out of flood zone and big cities and you'll be fine. Thats the advice rom the local of the places made for this kinda storm.
