[Appearance] Nathanial is 6"4' and has a lean yet well built physique that comes from his army training and not from body building or steroids. His hair is uncharacteristically long for a man of the military reaching his shoulder and always tied back. His eyes are grey.

Nathanial is a man dedicated to his job, he is precise and methodical and always gets the job done. Those around him know him as a serious man, one not given to light heartedness. He is not without feeling however and actually feels very deeply but he prefers not to show his more passionate side to anyone. Given his history he assumes and expects that if he were to show his more emotional side to someone they would then use it against him and he will never allow that again. He is a ruthless man who has no compunction with killing others and in his role as sniper he has killed countless people without any guilt or regret. He does this by simply pretending that his targets are objects not living breathing humans. This job is no different and he sees the escapees as simply assets that need to be returned. Yet a small part of him, deeply hidden, is becoming disillusioned with his life and is seeking an end to his cold, lonely existence. He yearns for a life of warmth and emotional attachments but doubts he will ever achieve this.

Nathanial had a normal family upbringing with his parents and younger brother, they were a close knit family who lived in a small town on the outskirts of a forest. Nathanial grew up in the woods with his family spending hours hunting or camping, he learned his survival skills and ability with guns from this time. However things changed when Edward his younger brother met the woman he considered to be the love of his life, he was eighteen and she the same age. Nathanial was twenty two and to begin with was happy for his younger brother but then over time things changed. Claire his brothers girlfriend subtly began to try and attract Nathanial and after a time she succeeded. Nathanial fell in love with her in his strong, passionate way and such was the strength of it that he was willing to do anything for her. Claire seemed to delight in having both men at her mercy and ruthlessly played them against each other. Things came to a head after this had continued for almost a year, with Nathanial and Eddie coming to blows over her. Nathanial had already begun basic training in the army and had always been larger than his brother. Nathanial beat his brother almost to death before he came to his senses. He realised then just what Claire had done to him and he turned her out of their home and their family. But the damage had already been done, Eddie recovered but now hated his brother and Nathanial consumed with self loathing could not blame him for this. Their parents who loved them both did not know how to reconcile them and eventually gave up on this. Nathanial returned to the army and stayed, he has never returned home since. He lives alone with only his German Shepherd Jake for company.
