He listened as Carmel spoke, about facing his fears to overcome them as well as getting some sleep in order to complete the day ahead of them.
Ali turned his head back to the window at the rising sun, how many had he missed? How many sunsets? How many full moons? He thought about his fears, not really thinking of any that came to his mind. Except for the hunters and the basement, infact after thinking about it. Ali didn't know what he was scared of, he knew nothing of the world around him anything could hurt him. Shaking of the uncertain feeling he spoke.
" I don't really recall the last sunrise I saw, maybe when I was little. But I always liked my sleep so I wasn't an early riser like my brother and sister. I'm not sure of what fears I do have, I suppose it's the hunters I'm scared of as well as getting locked up again." He paused for a while before turning to Carmel and giving a small smirk he added. "But your right we should get sleep, I don't mind if you sleep with me, it's nice to have someone there with me. To keep me safe. " he yawned widely and pulled himself up from the floor rubbing his eyes again. " The workouts sound good though, I probably won't be as big as you are but I'd like to be stronger, I don't even know how strong I am now" he smiled again " coming?" He asked before making his way to the bedroom and climbing into bed again, he stared at the wall for a while before falling asleep pulling the cover against him.
“I hope that you find yourself Ali,” Carmel said before turning over and falling asleep almost instantly.
Morning had already come, yet he still slept until noon. Noon was when he decided to pull himself out of bed. Surprisingly Ali was still resting beside him. Carmel could only look at the male as he slept. He looked so cute, but Carmel knew he couldn’t open that door, if he did it might be hard to close it, or worse, it might be even harder to keep it open. He turned away and entered into the bathroom. After a soothing shower later, he came out and proceeded to prep for the mile run he had in store for Ali followed by some lessons. The male was very young when he was captured, and therefore he needed to learn. Luckily there were ways to quicken the process. Then Carmel had to find out exactly why they had captured Ali in the first place. He looked at the files waiting for Ali to awaken. As he observed them he couldn’t piece it together, but he knew a friend who might be able to decipher what all this meant.
Sitting up Ali ran his hands through his hair and rubbing his eyes, he looked at the clock that was in the room "12:00" at least he could still tell the time, today would be the start of his lessons with Carmel. He was looking forward to learning about the world, but was worried that everything had changed. At least there was no flying cars or monsters ruling the world, did werewolf rule over humans? Carmel had some humans bringing in his furniture for him. Did humans serve werewolves now?
He sat and thought for a while before heading into the bathroom to relive himself as well as wash his face a little to perk himself up. Ready for the day he walked through to the living room seeing Carmel first his eyes looking down at the small stack of files with his name on. At least it looked like his name.
"What's the plan today? Sorry I slept so late...it's different having a bed compared to a steel table"
“Well I figure the plan would be for you to learn what you’ve missed out on,” Carmel said as he bent down and picked up a laptop computer. He handed it to Ali and smirked. “This is a computer. Using this it will teach you in an hour what would take me years to teach you. These are headphones,” Carmel added as he picked up a pair of headphones and handed them to Ali. “They are used to listen to audio from a digital device. Now seeing as you’re not aware of how to operate this, I’ll show you.”
After Ali placed the computer down, Carmel powered it on and connected it to the internet. He proceeded to load up videos that he had compiled while Ali had slept. They would give him the necessities of what he needed to learn and it would take the rest of the day.
“After you finish, we can go for a run and see what you’re good at.”
He placed the headphones on his ears he tapped the computer a few times, trying to work out how to get it to work. Pressing the longest key the screen started to move. His head tilted to the side as images started to move accompanied by sounds, it was hard to process the images as he had a lot of questions. It seemed that a prominent image was solders, mainly in wars and conflicts filled with explosions and blood. People still fought after all this time, there was never peace. There was happy images to, changes in weather showed by the faces of children, supernatural images appeared to or rather representations, that didn't seem true. His head tilted multiple times. He rather enjoyed the images of sport and art. He had no idea about the hundreds of people racing each other, why did they do that?
Taking the headphones off he scratched his ears walking up to Carmel he didn't know where to begin he had so many questions. " what was that thing with loads of people running and getting discs of metal? Do other people like us exist? I like watching people paint I wouldn't mind trying that. Where are we running to?" He asked in a flurry of questions.
"One question at a time," he said continuing to build his sandwich as he prepared to answer. "If you're talking about people running to get discs of metal you're probably referring to the Olympics and Track and yet they do it because it is a sport the humans have. Those metals show accomplishment and whenever another player sees them they know that that particular person worked hard and achieved a certain level."
Carmel paused and turned his attention back to his sandwich as he reached into the fridge and grabbed some honey mustard before closing the door of the fridge gently and turning back to Alistair.
"I don't know if there are any more of our kind, maybe a few here and there, but I haven't really looked," Carmel said softly realizing how hard it must be to wake up and come to terms with things not being as they were long ago. Werewolves were pushed into hiding, and if there were any more of their kind, they were hidden and wouldn't come out for fear of starting another war with the hunters of this world. "I trust you will take up lessons then considering you like watching people paint."
Finally he finished his sandwich and he took a hearty bite before pointing out into the forest, in the direction they would run.
"When you're ready, we're going deeper into the forest, who knows, we might run into more of our kind."
" is everyone trying to be alpha them? With humans showing their achievements are they trying to take over?" He asked wondering why all the achievements.
He nodded when Carmel suggested he took lessons for painting " it looks really beautiful, the way the colours mix and makes an image. I bet it isn't that hard because everywhere is beautiful...well most places anyway" he spoke tilting his head a little as he followed Carmels finger to where he pointed.
He smiled when he said they were going for another run, Alistair liked being outside it was home. " I wouldn't mind going now? Could we have a race back? I'm sure I could run faster than you" he smiled cockily running a hand through his hair. He headed to the back door, figuring out how to open it after a few minutes, he wished he wasn't so forgetful he was locked away so long. He took off his shoes, everything felt better with his shoes off even though his body was scarred and bruised it looked like his body was healing slowly now. The odd pain in his joints plagued him every now and then but he was sure he would get better and stronger with Carmel instruction. He thought about his muscles and how his and Carmel looked different, he flexed his arm and ran his fingers gently across the small muscle. Carmels were much bigger than his, he was tanned where he was pale and toned where he wasn't. What did Carmel feel like?
