History: He's lived all over the country. He's lived with his pot-head father since he was a little kid after his mother ran out on them. Luke hated her. He understood why she wanted to get away from her abusive husband, but why couldn't she have taken her seven year old son with her? His father acts like it's Luke fault that his mother left, but he really knows it was his fault. He hops from job to job, never staying in one place for long. He's either looking for work or seeking unemplyment in a new state. He blows whatever money he gets on drugs or alcohol. When he's really drunk, he gets angry, and has had a tendency to beat Luke. It was worse when he was younger. And as the years have progressed, the beatings have become more infrequent, since Luke has gotten stronger while his father grows weaker from age and drug abuse.
When Luke found out he had to leave his life behind in just five days, he couldn't have been more thrilled. He was more then happy to throw it all away and start over.
