Master of Shikaku

Race:
Human

Magic:
Flames of Purgatory - Tansen can summon up to three floating wisps of pure white fire and control them with simple hand gestures and thought. The fire has unusual properties, the most noteworthy one being that they exist purely through his will. Because of this there is no known way to extinguish it directly though any trace of the flame disappears when he ends the spell or is forced unconscious. Being tied to his will also gives him the power to control what the flame does and does not harm, allowing him to sweep over battle and only leave his enemies harmed. The final and most devastating feature of the power is that it doesn't burn what it touches but rather incinerates causing anything it makes full contact with to turn to ash in an instant while a glancing blow will ignite and spread rapidly.

Ashes to Ashes - The ashes produced from the Flames of Purgatory can be just as dangerous as the fire itself as it can be turned into a rock hard material when brought together that can turn to any shape and size given enough material. This can be small barriers, deadly projectiles or even dummies to fool opponents. It's most powerful use is when it coats the edge of Amatsu Moui as it makes the blade nearly indestructible and able to easily slice through any non-enchanted objects or materials. While the sister spell to the Flames of Purgatory, neither spell can be used while the other is up and using either can be incredibly draining over long periods of time.
Chain of Sanctuary - The cross trinket and chain on Tansen's coat can transform into a thick and unending chain, allowing for him to easily bind lesser evil creatures as well as wind around the surrounding area to create a tightly weaved barrier that is nearly impossible to break into from the outside. The weak point and the only way to destroy it is the silver cross that stays attached as either Tansen touching it or it being heavily damage will undo the bindings or barrier.

Blessing of Relief - Tansen is able to heal others with just a touch though the cost is severe as he must either erase the wound completely which can be incredibly draining, especially with more severe injuries. If he lacks the strength or is simply willing to, the injury instead leaves the target but is inflicted upon Tansen.

Curse of Strife - A powerful hex that Tansen can inflict on foes that allows him to burn a blood red pentagram into a victim's skin. The curse makes it difficult for the victim to keep their anger in check, making even the most meek individual become hair trigger in an instant. The curse has a short duration and cannot be canceled by Tansen's own efforts though a powerful enough healing spell can banish it.

Weakness:
His trust and dedication to his subordinates is huge as he's willing to throw himself in harm's way or come to their rescue at a moments without a second though.

Image

Equipment:
He wears a light set of casual clothes with a thick light combat jacket over it with reinforced shoulder pads and a hood. His weapon of choice is Amatsu Moui, a powerful and heavy yari with an incredibly oversized blade on the end.

Personal Description:
Tansen is a well built young man with very lightly tanned skin, a shock of messy snow white hair on his head and a pair of steely blue eyes that almost seem to have an inhuman coldness to them. His skin is marred by countless scars all over his body, only a few being visible with his full outfit on.

Personality:
In a word, Tansen is cold. While he doesn't go as far as to wipe all emotion from himself, he doesn't bother wasting pleasantries with strangers or enemies or letting his emotions completely control his actions when around friends or allies. He is extremely formal when it comes to missions, taking no nonsense from anyone and dealing with the target without a moment's hesitation. Perhaps the one exception to this is when he finds an opponent who can put up a fight and when this occurs he does a total 180. He becomes aggressive, crude and even seems to have some kind of insane joy when he puts his life on the line. The moment the final blow is struck he's quick to pull back into his shell and continue on with business as usual. When he deals with his subordinates it's very formal and blunt but never stern as he respects all the men and women who follow him and know they don't need to be chided to get the job done. In what little personal time he allows himself he goes from straight back and serious to sarcastic and lazy as he shows off a bit of the man underneath the warrior. He's sarcastic, a bit witty and allows quite a bit of emotion to flow into his voice though he tries to never display himself in a way that would make him look exposed.

History:
There was once a village to the far south of Kuusou right by the shore of the Great Sea by the name of Sangero. It was a small town with it's only real form of trade being fishing and it's only citizens being humans. It was this simple town that Tansen was born in and raised by his two loving but sadly poor parents. They gave him all the basics of life: food, water, clothing, a roof over his head and the most basic of education. While a very simple life, it was a happy one. As the years went by he began to learn of the outside world and all the wonders and horrors it held with many of the stories he heard relating to a clan of vampires that lived to the north that tore down villages and attacked lone caravans on the road. While the adults took it as a vary serious threat, Tansen thought them to be very fun scary stories that he assumed his parents made up to try and scare him straight. It wasn't until one night when he was seven did he learn the truth in the most direct way possible. The clan from the tales had wandered to the south and come across the village and in no time at all began taking victims and prisoners left and right. By the time the sun had risen, Sangero was a pile of ash and bodies by the sea. Tansen alone survived to see the sun rise and even then he didn't have much life in him. Luckily for him, a traveling priest had spotted the smoke and came to investigate the source only to find the injured young man.

The old man took the child back to camp, feeding and healing him until he was healthy enough to travel with him to Kelec and raised him there as his own. The wise priest was able to give him a proper education, good housing and all of the teachings and philosophies of the gods. Tansen accepted these all thankfully though he found himself questioning the way of the gods more often than his adopted father liked all due to the death of village. If they were so powerful and righteous, why didn't they stop the slaughter of his home and family? If they had plans for every man and woman that lived, then what was the point of the suffering he'd gone through? If they loved the world's people so much, why was there still suffering and hatred everywhere? As a boy became a young man the questions continued and the priest always gave the same answer: "You will know when the time comes." Tansen was never sure what he meant until he was sixteen. What taught him was the old man's death.

The priests of the church approached him one afternoon and gave the tragic news of the monk's passing. Tansen was confused at first as he had been old but healthy and strong for his age so he asked what had happened. The told him with some hesitation that he'd heard news of a rampaging demon host just outside the city and went to go seal it. It was far more powerful than he had anticipated and the battle ended in mere moments. Just like that, Tansen found himself alone in the world and soon the only thing on his mind was vengeful anger. At first he turned to the gods and scorned them, cursed them for not protecting their most devote follower. Eventually he came to realize his anger was misdirected. It wasn't the lack of interference from the gods that caused all his suffering but the wrongful actions of mortals and monsters on this plane and in his realization he found purpose. He left the church and began searching for people to teach him the art of battle. He found and served under many men and women in the city, strengthening his body as he continued his holy studies as he began to collect an arsenal of arts to slay evil.

When he was eighteen he became something of a vigilante, weeding out crime, violence and filth in the city. While the thrill of doing right last for a while, it quickly grew dull as catching countless pickpockets and drunks wasn't quite what he had in mind. He eventually left these measly criminals to the guards as he began going after the corrupt and dark of heart but found disappointment yet again as the system of law was imperfect with many monsters getting away once they'd slipped a bag of coins into the right person's palm. Forced to his limit, Tansen formed Shikaku. While originally an alias he used as he began taking justice into his own hands and killing off any individual or group all across the world who would bring harm to others, people with similar ideals and desires began to flock to him. By his twenties his organization was known far and wide as swift and precise dealers of justice who were willing to do anything to maintain peace. Very recently there have been a whisper of dark things on the horizon, stories of one person who could possibly bring the entire world to ruin and would be forced to do so at one time at another. Just one person: a girl named Rin Hayashii.

So begins...

A cloaked figure sat in a rickety chair in the darkest corner of the shadiest bar in perhaps the shadiest city in all of Kuusou, a dirty glass filled with cheap booze sitting untouched on the table in front of him. Little could be made out of his face or body but the bizarrely large object that was slung on his back and wrapped in black cloth was drawing quite a bit of attention from the few others in the bar that gave the stranger a wide birth though the bartender seem unphased by him and the equally odd company he kept. He bought a drink as did his associates, some more than others, and that was enough to keep his nose out of their business. Why, there was even times when they had stopped some ruffians who came in dead in their tracks. Payed for the damages too. Less you know about those kind of people, the better they'll treat you and the longer you'll live.

The figure in question, one Tansen Nagato, was impatient which was a rarity to say the least for a man who tried to keep himself at the emotional range of the average statue. Patience was a virtue he had in spades and yet tonight was different and he couldn't quite explain why. Everything had been going well recently to be honest. Shikaku was gaining members constantly and those who had been with them for a while were healthy and productive as ever if not more so. Something was being done about the world and it's sorry state and yet there was something wrong, a gut feeling he couldn't quite shake off. It was like spotting the dark and brooding clouds coming over the horizon that foretold that a terrible storm was coming. Tansen wasn't someone who let every little instinct guide him but this one was too loud to ignore. His unexplained paranoia wasn't helped by the fact that he'd arrived at the meeting point early and his subordinates were coming dangerously close to being late. While exact time keeping wasn't quite necessary for the Shikaku, keeping a certain neatness to their schedule helped you stay elusive when you were considered by many to be a 'terrorist organization'. Tansen couldn't help if the masses were kept ignorant with half truths and cover ups by those they hunted. A soft sigh escaped his lips as he closed his eyes and kicked his feet up on the tabletop, the other denizens of the bar all looking his direction at the sudden movement. "They'll be here," he said to himself under his breathe. He didn't say it in such a way that made it sound like an attempt at self assurance but rather as if it was just a simple fact he was reminding himself. They were Shikaku. This was just as important to them as it was to him.

It was purely by coincidence that not only was the leader of the terrorist group, the Shikaku and the leader of the noble clan of heroes, the Chikyuu No Mirai were in the same bar at the same time, but each with no way of knowing who one another was. In complete contrast to the opposing leader, Kenpachi as he was now known, had a tipsy smile on his face. He was nowhere near drunk but he was beginning to feel the beginning effects of intoxication and it had painted the man even more red with blood rushing to his face. He could never hide the fact that he was drinking because of how quickly his face did that. Even just a single beer made his blush appear and it was unfortunate because Ken could hold his drinks. You'd be a fool to test him.

He went to pick up his beer....

He went to pick up his bee.....

He went to.....

Ah, there it was.

He picked up his beverage finally and took a sip, relaxing back into his chair in the center of the bar. People obviously gave him some strange glances because like the Shikaku leader, he had brought his weapon, but unlike him, he didn't hide it underneath cloth or any sort of material and simply stood it inbetween some loose planks of the dirtied, wooden floor of the musty bar. People were obviously wondering why he wasn't over in the corner with Mr. Antisocial, but instead was hanging around and being a pal to damn near everyone who approached him.

With his legs kicked back and a glass of poison in his hands, he took a sip and silently watched as another hooded figure (this one female) had appeared and scurried over to the table in the back. This was only about the third time the multi-raced man had been in this exact bar, but for his own reasons, he called that the suspicious persons table. Not that he cared much, for he was no detective and he wouldn't dare assume that those two people were actually part of the Shikaku, so he simply gave them a glance for only a second before it dragged off to some man stumbling towards the barkeep to order another round. He didn't make it too far, which was very entertaining to watch.

But was this any way to celebrate an anniversary? No!

Maybe he should liven things up?

Maybe.

Vaansyan was walking as fast as he could for the meeting point of the Shikaku, his hands nervously playing with a small gemstone near to his chest. "No... no! Of course not." He was being escorted by a warrior clad in iron armor, to the peasants idling about, there was nothing strange about this figure, to the trained eye however, the mild red hue coming drawing a silhouette about it was an obvious indicator of a reanimated dead body. "Well... Cut him some slack, I am sure he has good reasons to meet in a cantina instead of the cave down the mountain." The figure following him remained silent, as if hearing the voices of insanity inside of his head, he continued to speak "Although! Come to think of it, having all three of us meet in the middle of a tavern does seem quite risky... I am sure the Chikyuu no Mirai had something to do with this! Oh when I get my hands on one of those cruel monsters!..." At this point, the peasants had taken notice on someone else and were notoriously concerned.

Vaansyan tried to peek from within the mob, there he saw a familiar figure, a beautiful young lady clad in a hood he had recently learned to recognize... there were whispers about "Get away from me now", a poor soul had been scolded with what could best be described as a wrath fit for a wargod. "...Scary" he felt goosebumps on his back. He quickly paced his way to the interior of a building in which he saw his boss and his senior "Ever the diplomat Victoria" he took a sit, consciously avoiding sitting next to Victoria, lest he trigger her already active wrath.

Tansen didn't react when he heard the door to the old pub open, simply forcing a rather convincing yawn as if he was ready to fall asleep right then and there at the table. As he got quiet again, he heard the sound of footsteps coming this way and instantly recognized the sound. Light and careful if not a little hurried. He kept his eyes closed as Victoria sat down at his table, hearing a waitress coming over followed by a very quick order. It wasn't all that surprising she was hitting the drinks already. Her or at least her demon seemed fond of the stuff and in either case he could hardly blame either. He cracked an eye open and saw she was already halfway through her glass and a quick look at her face showed she was a little shaken. He took his feet off the table and pulled back his hood with a serious look on his face but a tinge of sadness in his eyes. "Hey, hey, slow down. There's no need to hit it so hard, Victoria. Deep breathes." His right hand slid across the tabletop to the untouched glass of rum before he flicked it across the table in her direction. "Here. I know it's not your usual but maybe a bit more kick will do you good."

The door opened yet again and, knowing that it was pointless to act like their little of the corner of the bar was some kind of dead zone, Tansen looked over his shoulder at the new arrival. The new recruit, Vaansyan, arrived just in time and incognito though he always seemed to wear that strange mask and if anything it made him stick out like a sore thumb. Besides this one small flaw the young man was exactly the kind of person Tansen wanted and needed from one of his men. He wanted to do good in the world even if it made him don the title of a villain and he had his own personal agenda to boot. To most leaders that would feel like they were being manipulated, a means to an end. For Tansen, it meant they had more to their lives than mindlessly following his orders even if such motivations were driven by sorrow or vengeance. He couldn't belittle anyone who held such desires in their heart. It's what had driven him to create Shikaku in the first place. As Vaansyan approached them, he made a smart comment towards Victoria before finding a seat as far from her as possible. "If you're quite done, Mr. Phezal," he said with one dead pan glance to the side. "The demonics group known as Sul was recently taken out near the Northfall Mountain with no casualties on our end. More recently we managed to kill a vampire by the name of Nathaniel Ends that was living in Falborn. Again no casualties and the guard believe it to be an accidental if not thorough house fire." He crossed his arms in front of him as he gave a quick look between the two. "Your reports?"

Vaansyan fidgeted nervously in his seat, vigilantly glancing over Victoria intermittently , who was seating on the opposite end of the table, she could be dangerous when upset, and he would rather not be on the receiving end of such an ire. His stomach growled, silence, then another growl, this time louder. He was hungry, he looked at the decrepit table with a glint of sadness in his eyes "I would have to take his favorite mask off, just to eat" he said so staring solicitously at his reanimated undead who was just now entering the tavern, as if he was restraining his appetite to please his undead companion, he whispered"... that would not do at all... so-" noticing the weary eyes of his accolades, he stared blankly at them for eight awkward seconds, he immediately noticed his leader Tansen was not freaked out at all, in fact he was not even slightly disturbed. "Boss understands!" he joyfully chanted "Boss truly comprehends sweet Vaansyan!"

He immediately continued to report his findings with notorious alacrity "Ah boss, I do not have much to report, regardless to say I take the news of the death of Nathaniel Ends joyfully, I did not personally know the man, but he had quite the bloodlust I hear. I am sure a lot of small souls can rest peacefully now that he has departed from this world" He took a pause to evaluate Victoria's mood, he was not particularly fond of being stabbed in the back by a demon acting through his host. After evaluating that Victoria's wrath from that troublesome event at the door was receding, he continued to elaborate "But I did find an interesting catch, boss. My friend here-"he said patting his undead, who was now seated, on the back "- has some very interesting reports to deliver. He was a common thief, but now he and I are marvelous friends!"he giggled with joy and continued "And he believes the leader of the Chikyuu no Mirai may be somewhere inside of this dusty and otherwise unremarkable town. Feel free to ask him yourselves!"

His undead pet began to speak with a monotone "...I... was at the... woods-"He was interrupted by Vaansyan "Ah! But before that, I believe beautiful Victoria has something to report as well?"

It seemed the suspicious table only got more suspicious another man arriving with a mask on his face. As far as Ken could tell, they must have been friends of some sort that liked to dress weird. The man who arrived after the masked man - looking to be a body guard or something - didn't help them fit in much. Somehow, Kenpachi was starting to believe that there was something going down, and he didn't like that fact one bit. His blood alcohol level was not as high as it should've been, and that's how the parties get started!

"Hey, hey, hey!" he suddenly shouted to everyone in the old tavern, standing to his feet quite quickly. He glanced around swiftly at the many confused faces beaming glares back at him. He smiled. "This place is a duller than that man's head." he motioned towards the man who had passed out earlier. "How bout we have some fun? Drinks are on me while I'm here!" the glares he got disappeared and were replaced by grins. Some people in the back got up and approached him, obviously enthusiastic about the free booze. After a few men ordered their drinks and joined him, they began talking up quite a storm with tales of humor and the sort, but Ken noticed the group in the back wasn't too happy. They needed encouragement. After all, free beer, right?

He looked over the men sitting in the table he had taken a seat back on and waved them over with his hands. "What's the matter? Allergic to a good time?" he jested lightly. "Come! Celebrate!" he enticed.

Tansen listened to both of the reports with one eye closed while he kept the other on the speaker. Vansyan spoke first and was just as eccentric as ever, speaking in his odd third person and referring to his thrall as his friend. He was almost like a child with the power to control the dead but Tansen could tell there was more to him than that. He had plenty of charisma and drive not to mention he had quite a useful bit of information. Tansen ignored his newest pet at the table, taking the briefest note of what Vaansyan had said who he was in life before listening to Victoria's report. Unfortunately it wasn't her who gave it as it wasn't the girl's shy little voice that spoke but the voice of the other, bolder occupant of the body. She stopped speaking just as she was about to bring up the rather graphic part of her story as Victoria was obviously struggling to take back control. Tansen's fingers twitched for a brief second before he clutched them into tight fists again. Despite the fact that Vixen was Victoria's ally of sorts and thus in extent his own ally, he wasn't fond of the demon's treatment of the girl. After a short pause she finally spoke up i her own voice, giving a quick and simple voice as her face quickly reddened with embarrassment before she lay her head down on the tabletop.

"Glad to hear that you've both been working smoothly. We can't afford to make slip ups right now and I know I can trust you both to keep up that kind of effort. Now as for this information you found, Vaansyna-" Tansen was cut off by the obnoxious sound of some locale drunkard calling them over for a drink. He looked over his shoulder at the pale haired man that wore the same color as the splotches on his face and just gave him one sharp look before he turned back towards his subordinates, lowering his voice slightly before he began to speak again. "If the Chikyuu no Mirai's leader is inside the walls, that's all the more reason to keep our heads down. If they know we're somewhere within the city then we can't use this location anymore." He closed his eyes as he let out a deep sigh and pinched his brow. "There's no point is hunting him down here. It's unlikely he's alone and I don't like the idea of battling with our numbers in unfamiliar territory." His eyes cracked open slightly as he folded his hands in front of him on the table. "Is there anything outside your reports you feel need discussion before we relocate?" he asked as his eyes scanned the table, his sight falling on the distraught Victoria in particular.

Vaansyan looked at his earnest boss. He had just known the man for a few days, but he had already earned his respect. He spoke to his thrall with a quiet tone, yet loud enough to be easily heard by those at the table "There is... something in his calm yet focused demeanor that makes Vaansyan feel safe..." He was starting to hold his leader with true reverence. That train of thought was interrupted as soon after Victoria took off, walking through the patrons, who made way for her fretfully. He jolted up to his feet, in his mind, all sort of scenarios were going wrong. He shuddered at the thought of having Victoria collide with one of the patrons, she was soon talking with a suspiciously armed man, the one who had invited them drinks "Sweetie! What are you doing?" he barked an anxious question, unaware that she was after the white haired man clad in red. He noticed Victoria had left her hood on the table, dressed as a tavern wench now. He was pleasantly surprised, he quickly took an ogling glimpse of her figure before turning to the cloaked figure of his boss "Hey Tansen, she has quite a lovely figure doesn't she?" He tried to suppress a joyful giggle, before taking a good look at her again "Vaansyan and Boss just got lucky!" Laughed again, with both his hands, trying to conceal what would have been his mouth, covered by his mask.

His eyes spaced out "Although that man... why do I feel like I have seen him before a long time ago..." He turned to his Boss, and remarked "... I don't quite recall... But Vaansyan does not feel like this is a complete stranger." He tried to hide his masked face behind his thrall "Cover me buddy... Vaansyan just needs to take a peek..." His eyes turned bright purple, he scanned the soul of the man clad in red. It was ancient... and huge! But worst of all, he saw it contained a horrible beast, very much like the one Victoria had inside her. He quickly got serious "Boss... Victoria might be in danger..."

"What's the matter? Allergic to a good time?"

The familiar voice made Asher peek through the window once again. Sure enough Ken was out of it, the alcohol pumping through his veins causing him to act over confidently and address the group over the other side of the bar. The brunette sighed, wondering if he could manage to keep important details from slipping past his lips. Just to be sure, Ash slipped inside, past the group and seated himself at the back of the bar; Utopia close at his heals. Sure enough he would not become invisible in the room, not with a gigantic white tiger at his side anyway, but he hoped to be ignored. Eiither way, Ash was not there to ruin Kens party, after all he seemed to be hitting on a pretty looking and rather sexy woman. Who was he to stop him?

"Can I get you anything sir?" The bar maid asked, and so simply Ash replied with. "Just a orange please sweetie, I don't think I should drink right now..." The woman’s eyes wandered to the large white tiger sat beneath his feet, the cat looked bored and displeased. "I am sorry but no...pets..." Ash patted Utopia on the back lightly, looking up at the woman with a rather cold but calmed glare. "She is not a pet..." And with that the maid just left...

Kenpatchi offered the woman a drink, to which she naturally agreed, happily flirting with him and getting free wine. The mans a fool, she will take all his money, fuck him then go... But he’s a lucky fool at that and she is too... He thought admiring both of the pair, but that was not what he was there for, he just needed to wair. Asher simply watched the group from afar, wondering if his leader was too caught up with women and beer to notice him, either way he did not mind. He was just acting as back up in case anything went wrong...

Something just felt a little off, something rolling deep inside Ash's gut, telling him to keep on his toes.

Tansen reacted with only a slight shift of his eyes as Victoria gave him a knowing wink and walked over to the bar. He had no idea what she was trying to accomplish but her body language gave away her means to do it in a split second. He let out another little sigh as he looked back towards the table as he tried to act as if her sudden departure from the duo ( well, trio if you wanted to count corpses ) as he kicked his feet back up on the table. "I hope you know what you're doing, Victoria..." he muttered quietly under his breathe as he pulled his hood over his eyes and feigned sleep. He could hear the two talking ever so casually at the bar though he couldn't make out a single word, especially over Vaansyan chattering to himself. He then heard some giggling from the mad necromancer as he pointed out Victoria's appearance without the cloak. Tansen acted as if he didn't hear a word Vaan said for a second or two before he tugged lightly on his hood and hazarded a glance from the corner of his eye. There was no denying that she was quite a sight to behold, perfect curves and figure. He allowed himself just a few moments to admire her before he tore his eyes away and heard more of Vaan's somewhat perverted commentary. "You should be more careful what you say aloud. Victoria has ears like a fox and that demon of hers would just love to know someone within Shikaku has a less than subtle interest in her host. Unless you'd rather be it's toy... a chew toy more likely than not."

Then Vaansyan began commenting on the man Victoria had approached though Tansen shrugged it off as just his usual oddity. But that idea was quickly tossed aside as Tansen saw him take off his mask, only being able to see a light glow within the folds of the hood, as he observed the man and when he was finished, he stated something that put his heart in his throat. Victoria in danger? How could some random loudmouth stranger in a bar be a danger to the Silencer, easily one of Shikaku's strongest? But there was no way Vaan would lie for no reason and he possessed powerful magic, something that couldn't be trick. A few seconds ticked by before the realization hit him like a ton of bricks as the sound of shattering glass filled the air and the subtle scent of blood drifted through the air. Tansen quickly took advantage of the situation as he pushed himself away from the table and jumping out of his seat as he rushed over to Victoria. "Jezebel, how many times do I have to tell you to be careful with the glasses here, you know they're flimsy as paper." The bartender gave the young man a dirty look as Tansen lightly held one of her arms in one hand, doing his best to apply as little pressure as possible as he used his other hand to pluck a few shards of glass out of her hand. "You're going to be the death of me, I swear," he chided with a trace of humor in his voice as a small smile crossed his lips. In a moment where he managed to get his back to the red clad stranger, Tansen flashed one serious look at Victoria to make sure she was going along with the act before he put his energetic and happy mask back on. "I think I got all of it out," he said, checking the cuts before placing two fingers on the back of her hand and muttering a few words under his breathe. There was a short green flash where their skin met and in seconds the cuts were closed.

"Compensating?" Kenpachi repeated before letting loose a hearty laugh at the theory. Whether or not he was self-confident in himself wasn't what caused his reaction, but her sudden change. She switched from innocent to very flirtatious within an instant and that got him to wondering if she did in fact know what she was doing. Drunk as he was, he considered the possibility this woman was not too experienced with the situation she was in. A dare, maybe? Considering her company, he wasn't about to throw away that possibility.

Suddenly after glancing back at who Ken'd only assume as one of her friends, the glass in her hands shattered into pieces. About to offer his assistance, Ken went to give her hand a glance over when a white-haired man (not himself) appeared by her side. Another friend. Ken decided to let her friend help her, for he was simply just some stranger - a slightly drunk one at that. When the man spoke, Ken crossed his arms.

"Seems she's a bit nervous, huh?" he laughed a bit, keeping his eyes away from any blood that escaped. It wasn't like he'd jump on her and eat her (like he had done long ago) but that smell didn't escape Ken. No, it's what his nose was locked on so forgetting it or ignoring it wasn't too easy. "Well well, don't fret. I've got the glass covered. I did buy the drink after all." he closed his sight on the man. "You seem happier than you are dressed." he pointed out. "I must ask though.... are you two related?"

Vaansyan's boss, Tansen, did not wait for him to elaborate what the danger was before jumping into action. "Ah? Boss?" Too late, his black coat clad leader took off to assist Victoria. "Ah boss! That guys is... like her!" After staring blankly at the trio discussing something, he placed a hand in his thrall buddy, and pulled him to cover his face, he then took away his mask again, hidden from view. His eyes glared bright purple once again, he observed an unusual soul at the back of the room "An elf... with potent magic at that... he is also vigilant over the red clad man." He then saw something that took him off guard "The demon inside the red clad man is wildly beating... as is Victoria's".

A sharp commotion shocked the bar, Victoria violently recoiled from being touched by Tansen and stormed off clearly losing control, this was confirmed when familiar tattoos were faintly appearing. He put his mask back on pat his dead thrall on the back "This is getting dangerous, really tense, really quick. And those guys are obviously in this together. If Victoria loses control..." He caught a deep breath and sighed, then continued with a serious tone "Distract them, do what you must, anything goes" The thrall released a feral growl before determinedly advancing towards the bar keeper who addressed him "Want something to wet your throat? I have- what the!" The thrall shoved him out of the way before making his way to the wine barrel, drinking the wine directly from the barrel tap. Vaansyan was sure his boss would not be pleased about that, but that was not his idea, and this was an emergency. In the confusion and noise he quickly walked his way to his boss before whispering "He's a demonic, and he's not alone, the elf on the back. Don't look, he's with him." then proceeded to make his way to the exit to prevent the red clad man from suspecting his role in this and to look for Victoria.

Tansen's grip wasn't strong enough to keep Victoria in place long enough to get a single shard out as she suddenly pulled her arm away and politely excused herself before rushing off out the door. 'Damn it. Not your brightest move,' he thought bitterly though he wasn't entirely sure if he was scorning her or him. He honestly should have expected this kind of reaction from her. She didn't give him exactly every little detail but from what he gathered grabbing her like that must have sent her to a bad place and that demon of hers was hardly helping on her already strained mental state. Quickly pulling back into character, Tansen looked very worried as he watched the red clad blonde run off. "Oh no, I'm so sorry. She's deathly afraid of blood. I'm not even sure she was feeling the pain from just pure shock for a minute there. I should really go after h-" As if to speed up his escape, the man that Tansen knew to be Vaansyan's thrall wandered over to the bar and shoved the bartender aside as he began gulping huge mouthful of wine from the tap. In the cloak of sudden chaos, the necromancer in question came up behind and told him everything he could gather on the white haired man and his apparent ally before rushing off. The second he was sure Vaan was gone, he slipped back into character and looked horrified at the chaos. "I-I'll go get the guards, y-you stay right there!" he said as he backed up towards the door before he turned quickly and sprinted the rest of the distance, pushing himself outside and nearly tripping on the way out into the streets.

The moment he was out of sight of the pub windows, he slowed to a casual walk as he quickly followed the trickle of blood on the ground that Victoria had left behind. Before careful to kick up a gracious bit of dirt on the trail she'd created, he eventually found her in one of the city's countless alleys, sitting on a box with her hand bleeding badly and her whole body shivering as she fought back the powers that were trying to creep to the surface. Ever so slowly Tansen walked over to her, making sure to give her a generous birth as he sat down on a rickety box similar to hers. He began to speak in a quiet, even tone as he messed with the clasp of his cloak. "I expect you to knock this away or shred it or something a thousand times worse but..." He tugged on the sweeping cape in one quick movement, revealing his usual jacket and pants. "But you're starting to bleed pretty badly and you're going to start freezing in that outfit." He held out the dark cloth with the tip of his fingers and waited patiently for a reaction.

Ken worried over the girl who had fled just about instantly after being touched. Considering what she was apparently trying to get from him, the Mirai Master must have guessed that this man was just really not her favorite person in the world. That had to be it, so he wondered why the man followed after (after glancing back to see what the sudden commotion was about). Before Ken himself chased after her, he watched the man from before tried to drink from the source of the booze. The scene that unfolded next was horrifying.

With the bar full of near-drunk occupants, the last thing you would want to do is mess with their liquor. The man, though armored, was no match for the many different men, who at the site of him tainting their booze, attacked and started assaulting him. Ken would normally rush to help the man, but he did deserve it and he knew these men wouldn't kill someone for that reason. But that didn't mean they wouldn't come close. He turned and started out the door, subtly sniffing the air for the girl.

You couldn't hide the scent of blood from a vampire - especially not one that was actively seeking it. It wasn't too hard to begin on the trail where the girl had gone through to hide. Maybe this man following her was some abusive person or something? He couldn't know for sure, but why else would she flee that abruptly? She seemed horny a few minutes ago.

Ken continued following his nose to the girl.

Tansen didn't do anything as he just stared down at the tattered remains of the cloak with a slight look of disappointment written on his face as his subordinate began turning into a bloodthirsty monster right in front of him. "Peace offering?" he asked as he stood up, a light sigh on his lips. "Something one enemy gives to another in an attempt to assure peace. Less than a minute and you're already failing to meet expectations." He casually wiped some dust off his pants and jacket as he continued to speak calmly despite his grim situation. He gave the demoness a quick look over as he began rolling his shoulders, causing a few odd pops to come from his joints. "Or were you actually vain enough to think I meant that for you at all? Oh well," he said with a small shoulder shrug as he cracked his knuckles. He shook his head, the ghost of a smile crossing his lips as he stopped his momentary stretching and reached over his shoulder for the massive object wrapped in cloth on his back. "Now," he said as he hauled the massive piece off his back and let it fall to the ground at his side while he help the handle of whatever lay beneath tightly, the cloth doing almost nothing to stifle the impact as a few shards of the cobblestone street went flying every direction. "I'm giving you one chance to get back in that little cage in the back of Veronica's head. One." He lifted the heavy-looking weapon easily with one hand and pointed the still wrapped blade at the demon, his expression dead pan as he looked her right in the eye. "I refuse to bring harm to one of my own subordinates, even if they're a demonic like you. But if you're smart, you should know there's plenty of ways I can take care of you without drawing blood."

His progress unimpeded, Kenpachi Ramasama soon began to pick up a stronger scent of blood that was most definitely hers. He stopped before he turned into an alleyway just after the important part of the even that happened between the two Shikaku members occurred and managed only to catch the end of the whatever it was that the woman had said to the man. It sounded quite brutal, really.

"....castration with this..." she had said, though the thought of castration was unsettling and Ken took a moment to breathe in through his mouth now that he was aware of her location. Breathing through his nose right now would yield undesirable urges which he most certainly wanted to avoid if he could. With a bolstered reserve and a passive glance, he turned into the alleyway with the two, revealing his presence but having not caught the part about her needing orders. Not that they would know that....

Decimate.... destroy.... drink.....

A cold chill ran down Ken's spine as the distorted but deep voice attempted to convince him to feed. The Master of the Mirai had kept his physical cool, though a small, noticeable pause before he spoke would give away something was going on to those keen to pick up that sort of thing. Even if he had heard it hundreds of times before, Ken wanted nothing more than the voice to go away and to never return. It would do every good if it were to just go away. But... his problems were his own and he could keep a lid on things about him. Kenpachi glared at the man, taking the blood on Victoria's head a sign that he had just attacked her, but something must've happened before it turned into a mess. "What's going on?" he questioned the both of them, a theory that maybe he scared her into submission. He turned to Victoria. "Was this man assaulting you?"

Vaansyan could feel the cold snow of winter only through his spirit senses, he had long lost the ability to feel with what would have been his body, were it not have been destroyed a long time ago. The body he had right now was always cold, always dead. "... What a gloomy city this is..." he whispered with sadness palpable in his voice. He spaced out for merely twenty seconds, although remembering his comrades were in danger, he snapped out of it as if he had been jolted by a war hammer. "Let's see then... a big mean demon is required to get rid of the pursuant demonic... fitting!" He knelt on the snowy rooftop "To get started I need an appropriate binding spell" He placed both of his gloved hands in front of himself, and began channeling his magic for the creation of a drawn magic seal, this took about eight minutes of raw channelized magic from Vaansyan, whose raw magic power was prodigious. On the stark snow, slowly a glittering circle with a star symbol inside began to fade in. He shifted his legs in anxiety, before taking out a small magical bag, in which he held all his alchemical ingredients. "A little life is required to anchor the demon.
A rose will do... And now we need a containing soul, one that resonates with the dark frequency of the demon well, a Vampire soul!"

He took off his mask, but his face was hid by the shadows of his hood. His mouth lit up in light purple fire, before vomiting a burning red soul with black smoke around it, the size of an apple. He gently guided the soul to the circle with enthralling magic "... And now we need a container to hold the demon in place..." He took his mask to his face and put it on, he then shifted his eyes around the rooftop to find something suitable for his ritual. He found a frozen bird laying on the snow "This will do... Not the finest ingredients... both the soul and the rose were of lacking quality, so I do not expect the demon to last long in this bird's body... oh well..." Even if it could not be seen because of his mask, he was smiling underneath it. He again placed both his hands, clad in long white gloves, in front of him and began channeling his magic into the circle, which began to burn potently in purple fire for another five minutes "It would seem the ritual is finished... now where is the demon?"

He waited for five seconds before continuing "I must have done something wrong... maybe the-" He was still speaking when a powerful massive bird spawned right under him, destroying a big chunk of the building in which he was standing "Noooo! Noooo! Put me down!" He had the misfortune to be on the demon's back, whose incarnate form was identical to the small bird he had used for the ritual, but easily ten meters tall and with burning fire red eyes. The demonic beast tried to roar, but chirped instead, making it look hilarious instead of fearsome. "Whoa! It worked! I kne-" The massive bird took to the skies, shaking its wings fiercely, had it not been because Vaansyan had used his magic to bind his gloves and boots to the bird's skin, he would have been blown away by the sheer force that resulted.

Up in the skies, the bird refused to follow Vaansyan's command to the letter, it did however partially obey "Stupid bird! Blast the red clad demonic back to hell!" Vaansyan shouted with a mix of sheer terror and enthusiasm at his success. The massive beast lit up the skies with red orbs of demonic power, before hurling them all at Ken, with terrible aim however, sending several to Tansen and Victoria's way, as well as into random buildings. "Bloody bird! My boss is so going to behead me for this!-" He was interrupted again, as a potent yellow light reached up all the way to tallest of clouds in the distance, bright enough to night the sky with yellowish hue. "I believe... that is Utoko... a human settlement if I recall correctly." The demonic bird interpreted his curiosity as an order to go there, propelling itself with its wings, before gliding his way to Utoko, that was burning in yellow power. Vaansyan could only gracelessly scream in panic, as the ground began getting distant.

There was a loud noise that tore Ken's attention away from the two and had it placed upon the skies. He saw the sky lit up by red balls of demonic energy and wasted no time in reacting to each and every one of them. Not a word nor prior warning spoken, Kenpachi seized the opportunity to rescue both the woman and the man with blinding speed that one wouldn't expect from a 'goof' such as himself.

The hiss of blasts grew louder and louder until they collided with the environment, creating small craters in the cobblestone and the walls of the building next to the group of three, instead of them directly. Ken glared at the flying beast that didn't stay here to fight, but instead took off in another direction and began soaring higher beyond the reach of any weapon he had. With a sigh, he shook his head released the woman and the man, with whom he actually hadn't even got acquainted yet but it was of no real concern - that beast was a threat.

"Apologies, the business of the Chikyuu No Mirai calls for me and I must listen. Farewell." Kenpachi said only those few words, sure to have some sort of effect on them before vanishing in a blur of crimson.

Asher's icy eyes followed the floozy woman as she exited from the bar, crimson racing down her slender arms like raindrops on a window pane. Though the excuse that followed was supposedly she was afraid of blood, the Elfen boy did not believe such a minimalistic idea. She seemed to be far too traumatized from the situation than a usual person would. This was also extremely dangerous for Ken, as Ash took into consideration his vampire and demonic side. It was likely to trigger something, and maybe he would be searching for something more dangerous than a kiss. The brunette clenched his fist tightly, wondering if now was time to get him out of the area before it was too late.

The Elf found a pair of eyes gazing towards him; it was the masked being, who seemed to be muttering quietly to himself. Ash allowed his own pair of pupils to lock with his, curious as to why he suddenly had gained his attention. With a glass meeting his lips and the bitter orange rushing down his throat he recoiled his gaze, somewhat feeling uncomfortable.

Then of course, everyone went to comfort the lady, as well as Kenpatichi. The red coated male strode out the door, clearly following her scent. "Shit..." Ash cursed under his breath before getting to his feet and following after the fool of a Leader. Utopia snarled and continued behind him, pouncing along in wide steps with little effort at all. However, being a Elfen boy had its disadvantages, unlike any vampire or demon Asher could not sense the wounded female. He was lucky to have such a predictor as a Guardian. "Topi seek!" He ordered, grabbing at her scruff and leaning across her back, the felines paws pounding hard against the cobble stone.

When Ash finally arrived, he just managed to catch a glimpse of his Leader vanishing into a red mist...

"GOD DAMMIT!"

Tansen faced down the demoness with a cold look, ready to strike as soon as she made a move as he followed every little movement she made as he ignored her taunts. "I'm not the one who needs saving," he muttered in response as he kept his hand steady on his still wrapped weapon, ready to land a blow the second it was required. A few tense moments passed there was a sudden movement followed by the sound of the whip tearing through the air. He made the motion to try and deflect the blow, a dozen different ideas rushing through his head as to counterattack but none of them would apparently be necessary as she'd stopped halfway and growled as black flooded over her skin and after a few more tense moments it faded to reveal a still bleeding but very much human girl, her hair having reverted back to blonde and her clothes, while not much better, were red. Tansen lowered his bulky weapon as he let out a relieved sigh. "Victoria-." All he managed to get out was the one name before a surprisingly strong leather clad hand struck him across the face, stinging wildly as he could do nothing but blink stupidly as she spoke. When she asked sarcastically for her next orders, he rubbed his cheek and muttered half under his breathe just loud enough for her to hear, "Is it too late for me to ask you to go back to blushing and avoiding eye contact by chance?"

Tansen must have been in quite a bit of shock from the moment because it wasn't until the red clad man from the bar spoke up did he realize he had arrived out of the blue. He gave Tansen a rather nasty glare that he returned if only for the sake of keeping in character as the mystery man began questioning the two on what had just happened. "No assault here, sir. Just a very, -very- big misunderstanding," he said as he dug his hands into his pockets and dug his hands into his pockets. As he began trying to forming a believable fib in his head, luck smiled on him for once as a rather big distraction made itself apparent. Sadly it was possibly the worst possible thing imaginable as a giant winged demon, in it's own flesh, flew overheard and began raining hell down on the city. Before he or Victoria would do anything, the stranger grabbed them both and managed to get them all away from the destruction before letting them so and informed them he was going to head off the beast. Of course he also revealed he was Chikyuu no Mirai, confirming Tansen's theory as he watched him rush off. The moment he was sure the man was gone, he shook his head and spoke. "This is just great. So much for everything going according to plan." He looked up at the beast flying off towards the horizon with a dark look in his eyes. "Victoria, I want you to head back to the mountain base with me to take care of your cuts and to get supplied to take care of that beast." He turned to look at his subordinate but caught the sight of another stranger at the end of the alley, an elf with a large white cat by it's side. Assuming it was the man's accomplice that Vaansyan had mentioned, he paid it no mind and looked back to his subordinate. "Understood?"
