He tends to wear dark inconspicuous clothing, that make him melt into the bustling crowd on the streets in London. He is always wearing a dark brown cape with a wide hood that obscures his face. He walks with a limp due to the fragments of a musket ball in his left leg received in battle.

Personality

Henry likes killing and the act of murder. He finds it exhilarating. For him, murder is like taking a drug or drinking. He is simply addicted to it and will keep killing until he himself is killed.

Equipment

Henry acquired some exceptional knife-skills as a surgeon in the Crimea and thus, carries one around with him at all times. This is normally a scalpel with a short, one to two inch blade, perfect for cutting and slicing flesh.

History

Henry Darlington was a doctor in the British army during the Crimean War of 1853 and was part of the sacking of Sevastopal in 1855. It was here that he acquired his taste for dismemberment and bloodshed. On his return to England he used the money he earned to set up a back street surgery in the Old Nichol slum in the east end of London.

Here, he misused his position as a surgeon to commit a series of rather gruesome murders under the alias “The Rook”. He slashed the throat and wrists of his victims, who were usually female, then removing the fingers and toes of his victims.

He was apprehended by the police after being caught dumping a collection of knives and dismembered body parts in the Thames. He was convicted and sentenced to hang. As his coach travelled down the packed streets of London to the gallows he used his handcuffs to strangle one of the officers and finished the other with a blow to the side of the head. Henry disappeared into the bustling streets of London, a free man. With every intention of killing again.
