The small antique chime clock resting peacefully upon the shelf just behind him broke the silence of the coming midnight hour, a moment of time that has seen Scott awake here lately. The brown folder fell to the desktop gently as tired hands released it and move up and rubbed over a set of bloodshot eyes. A soft sigh escaped over his parching lips. It’s been several years now that the case of he Black Rose has ended, but still to this day it haunts him. There was something he was missing, something that was just slightly beyond his sight. Leaning back into the soft support of his office chair, he allowed his gaze to fall into darkness as he slowly closed his eyes.

“Why Scott? Why do you do this? There is nothing different, it’s all the same.” his mind stating the facts, but his inner voice being the devils advocate continued to snap at his heels telling him that he was missing something, something small that would lead him somewhere on this unsolved case, a case that he has been working on unofficially since it was pushed to the side, and in that fact itself was bothering him, how easily the upper brass dismissed it. “Why? Why was the upper brass so fast putting this case on the back burner?” His fingers tapping the folder as his mind raced with the possibilities, in which was more numerous than he really wanted to dive into at this moment of time.

Scott slowly opened his eyes and took a gaze about his office before looking back down at the folder, the words classified and still active stamped upon it. “Still active.” This statement brought a tired chuckle out of him. He wished they would give him the resources to continue to investigate this case, but as the brass pointed out there was no more leads at this time and the cost in man-power couldn’t be explained rationally. A few more taps upon the folder followed by a tired sigh, Scott placed the folder back into the safe. “Another time.” he whispered as he closed the door and spun the knob. With that he rose, grabbed his briefcase, picked up his trench coat from the chair and moved to the door as another day at the office came to an end…

Knocking cautiously on the door Christian considered just walking off, but he was told all the time by higher ups always to tell everything to the King and still being reasonably new to this, he still felt like a student. Pushing his black fringe out his eyes he made a memo about getting a haircut in a few days. Rule one present yourself as respectful and people will forget your from Camden Town. He knew people looked down at him, it wouldn't matter what he did, they saw him as Camden boy and because of that he must be like all the pushers and druggies there.

He saw a box letterbox attached to door and he considered just dropping the report in there and walking off. It wasn't even that the King was frightening it was last time he had come around the King had nearly bit his head off for even intruding in. It didn't matter to him what the guy was involved in, it's not like any of the staff were clean, hell other than an iffy past which could well be rubbish, he was probably the most trustworthy. Still this organization had been an inevitable Russia had annexed most of the Eastern European block forming the URF (United Russian Federation) under President Putin son Vladimir, not to mention the UN shattering with America going into isolation. It was no wonder United Kingdom or should he say Britain had chosen to form The White Chess organization. It shouldn't have been a shock that soon after this an opposing organization would form called The Black Chess which rumour had it that one of the key members was a Russian General.

The world was going to hell and now Scotland had separated from England, the Union between the countries was fragile and the riots in Wales were demanding establishment of a Government.

Sighing Christian again considered just walking away.

The letter contained details of a previous investigation and details on activity of Black Chess. Problem was many people actually supported them and this didn't help things. Things just seemed to be getting worse, but the report detailed a plan to assassinate a key cabinet member named Kyle Frobisher, that's all he could get from the person he had spent hours torturing using any methods that didn't break the treaties. The man was a Mercenary hired by The Black Chess, unfortunately he couldn't get that key bit of information.

Now the next part of his memo was strange, it was left on his desk and told to be delivered to the White King.

Sighing Christian finally raised his knuckles and rapped the door.

Too late now to do anything but wait.

Ebony Gaza
-Not Undercover

Ebony Gaza was sitting at her desk in her office. So far the Black Chess had stayed rather quiet, which was not a good sign. She sighed, soon there would be alot of petty crimes, and then the big "crime of the centuary". Ebony fingered the dark bruise on her forehead, it had only been a week since one of The Black Knights had done his dirty work. She was just thankful that she had not been in The Black Castle cells. If that had been the case, suicide would have been her only option. No one had ever been rescued from the Black Castle, and knowing the Black Knights, no amount of training could brace you for the torture that awaited you. Sooner or later you would leak some information...better to end life sooner.
Fortunately Cade had reacted quickly and the Black Chess had not managed to move her into their fortress. Ebony was still unsure of how they knew she was the Black Queen. Perhaps some one had leaked some information...
She slowly drummed her fingers on the desk, relishing her current freedom. Since being back, she had been told to take a break...and being Ebony, that meant a day and then back. She needed to speak to Requiem or Christian and file a report on the incident. Hopefully they could learn something from her experience. She grimaced unconciously, her only consolation was that the Black Knight that had allowed her to escape would be dealt with by his own leaders.
She sighed again. The White King had not been impressed by her rookie mistake of refusing back up, after all it was one of the dumber errors one could make...then again he didn't know about the text.
Ebony hadn't told her superiour about it, knowing full well she would be refused to go. It had been from a public phone and had simple asked her to come down to the alley on Collins St, second to the left. The caller had warned her to come alone if she wanted to hear about her parents.
Ebony wasn't stupid, she knew full well that it was proabably going to be a trap, but if it wasn't she may lose the last hope of ever finding out what happened. So she went. Not anarmed though, and she believed she would be able to handle it, considering she had her gun ready. What she didn't expect was the number waiting for her, or that the Black Chess would know both her status and phone number. Fortunately they still were unsure of her real name, and being only a short session with the Black Knight, cut even shorter by Cades meddling, she had managed to keep them in the dark.
So in order to maintain her current position, Ebony had tweaked the story a bit. She was sorely guilty about doing it, but she needed to continue to work on her parents case and this was the only percievable way.
Getting bored with her own musings, Ebony got up and wincing as she did so, managed to get to the door. Her thumb was bandaged where the nail had been ripped out, and so she was forced to awkwardly use her left hand in order to open it. Once out in the corrodor she headed to Scott's office, hoping to catch him before he left and hand in her tweaked report.
When she reached the door she noticed a rather nervous looking Christian standing awkwardly in front of the large double-wooden doors. She refused to look into his eyes, knowing by now he probably would have heard of the incident and either be shocked by her stupidity or even pity her for her downfall, or perhaps a mixture of both. Either way was not what she wanted to see, so she managed to avoid his gaze.
As she thought of this the door opened...

(Elvenoff you posted wrong location)

Christian sat himself and tried to keep mind the memos. Opening the envelope he took one look at the King before beginning the report:

"14 hours ago I begun torturing the Mercenary identified solely as X, I unfortunately couldn't get the name or the organization, but I do know he was hired to assassinate Kyle Frobisher MP of Hampstead Borough. The Black Chess are planning something and the Mercenary was from outside the UK, we may have the danger of an International Incident."

Taking a breath, Chritian noted how tired the King looked and how much paperwork was filling his desk.

"It gets worse as Kyle Frobisher was one of the MPs pushing for more funding for White Chess and constructing offices in France and Europe. I've not told the Bishops yet, but we need to prevent this, as they're liable to have another hitman handy."

Checking whether the King was still listening he continued.

"Finally, there something else..."

Not even giving a chance for an answer he continued, "I shall read it:

Dear Mr, Nightland

I resign today and with my resignation I feel no problem revealing something that been weighing heavily on me. During 'The White Rose' case much of the evidence was lost due to a careless clerk. I'm here to tell you, that the clerk was me.

I imagine thus angers you, of course it would. Don't worry I know it was wrong.

I was told to lose the evidence.

The Black Chess threatened my family and what research could garner without revealing I was to blame, I found something truly terrifying.

One of your pawns is a double agent and not only that but he's called the 'Jack of Clubs' this is very important that you remove him. I kid you not this is dangerous, this man is considered infamous and banned in many countries. Not only that but he's the Black Chess best asset. The deaths were to destabilise the ethnic ties in the countries and they succeeded.

Act now and remove this person.

I warn you now the Jack of Clubs identity is unknown to all but the King of the Blacks.

Your Sincerely

A friend.

Christian finished reading with horror in his face, things just had gotten worse.

Ebony Gaza
-Currently not undercover

Ebony looked at Christian in horror.
No wonder the Black Chess knew about me. For all we know, they could know a lot more then that! It is a good thing pawns aren’t allowed to know the names of their superiors or the location of the White Chess. That could be a nightmare.

“That explains a lot” she whispered. She noted how tired Scott looked. There really was too much work here for one man. And then there was this double agent. What was worse was his identity was still unknown. Then there was also the possibility this whole thing was just a goose chase the Black Chess wanted to send them on. It would be just like them to have the whole of The White Chess after a hoax double-agent and break up the trust. The only slightly comforting thought was that Requiem would certainly be able to deal with him, that is once his identity had been made known. Requiem was known for her rather...harsh tactics. Christian wasn't far behind, though being newer his reputation was still forming. Though from what she'd heard, he had done extremely well with the mercenary.
Ebony wasn't entirely for all the torture that went on in The White Chess, being a victim yourself didn't help much, but the fact that they were using a tactic the enemy used often made her cringe slightly. Ebony did know it was necessary, but did not gain much pleasure from the knowledge.

“Sir” Ebony said addressing the White King “Do you think there is a possibility of this apparent evidence being a hoax? For all we know the mercenary lied to us in order to set us against our pawns. Then again it also fits in rather nicely into the previous plot that included me.”

Ebony smiled grimly. Included was probably not the right word. Unless she had been “included” in a viscous cycle of living death. The scar forming on her back was proof of that. It went diagonally across her left shoulder blade, and had been caused when she was just getting away. One of the Black pieces had thrown a knife to slay her before she got away, and while it missed it’s main mission the knife wound would be a permanent reminder of what could happen when things were not thought through.

I was stupid…next time the Black Knight will not find it so easy to get his hands on me.
Ebony knew being the White Queen put a prime target on her back. It was nigh impossible to get to the White King simply because he was mainly an office worker and while this meant he had the most information, it also meant he was not on the field as often. Being a queen meant holding the most information that was even slightly possible to gain and also going on lots of assignments. She just hoped the next assignment would be more fruitful...

The stern gaze dropped down from looking at Christian to the smooth glass desktop. His ball of interlaced fingers slowly began to bounce off of his lips as he concentrated on the information given to him. Scott didn’t allow himself to begin thinking of a solution until all the information was given, voice, a hard lesson he learned many years ago that ended up a few MI 5 agents deaths, so he kept his mind focused upon the agent’s voice, storing all the information given to be analyzed when he was done.

Scott’s gaze rose up from the desktop when he felt someone’s gaze resting upon him. They leveled out with the gaze of Christian looking at him as if making sure that he was awake and alert, but before he could gesture to continue the agent tossed another problem out onto the table. Scott took a deep breath and refocused upon the agent’s voice again preparing to take more information onboard.

Scott’s face deepened with mixed emotions when the agent finished reading the note. He understood the reason behind the clerk doing what they did for the safety of their family but it made him feel unqualified for the job he held for this clerk didn’t have enough trust in Scott to come to him for help.

Scott’s gaze moved from Christian over to Ebony when she addressed him. Hoax, that could be a possibility, a fact that he pondered over for a second, but that didn’t matter for it was something that had to be dealt with for it put a lot of agents lives at stake. “Yes, Ebony it could be a hoax but one we will act as if it is true for there are a lot of agent’s lives on the line. If we do this correctly there will only be two at risk instead of fifty.” he pondered for a moment over the information and then tossed in the facts from Ebony’s ordeal. Moments seemed like hours as Scott tossed the facts around in his head as if each piece was part of a puzzle. Finally Scott’s face of concentration lifted, “They are counting and identifying our agents. This Jack of Clubs is more than just a pawn in the Black Chess.” Scott’s tone showed the hatred already building up for this guy.

Leaning back in his office chair Scott’s face returned to that stern state of determination, “Okay, first off there is no more lone wolf escapades going on around here from the upper echelon.” His gaze fixing upon Ebony. “Secondly, We will draw up a bogus reaction plan dealing with the information that was given to us about the assassination plan on Mr. Frobisher. I want Cade to let this information out and keep his ear out on whom responds to this. Then Ebony you and Christian here will follow and capture the responders and interrogate them. I want this Jack of Club’s identity as soon as possible. As for the real assassination attempt I will have some of my most trusted pawns pound the ground and see if this has any merit to it… It could be just another attempt to count and identify my agents. They could even be gathering information on me on who I send out on certain types of missions.” He ponders that idea for a moment but doesn’t commit on it for that was a topic that only him and Ebony should be discussing.

“Lets get working on the cover ops to give to Cade and lets bring him up to speed on what is going on.” He looks over to Christian, “Very nice work Agent Jacobs.” His gaze then moves over to Ebony, “ We will discuss you previous ordeal after we get this ops underway.” He moves a few folders away from the desktop monitor. “Lets have a little fun, I want all of our pawns making a lot of street noise and worthless activity to keep these Black chess bastards busy.” He adds while a sinister smile forms upon his face.

Ebony Gaza

Ebony refused to look Scott in the eye. She did not like the sound of the "discussion". The truth be told: She had been stupid. The problem was she was emotionally involved in that particular text, and it made her act rashly. Ebony was seething from the fact, and was desperate to make it up. This new plan seemed like a good one, and seeing that the Black Chess was behind it, this made it even more likely she might have revenge on the Black Knight, though this time not to the extent of putting herself or the overall goal in danger.
"Do you wish for me to notify Cade? I have to speak to Requiem and file a report about the...incident, so she might gain information about their methods" She paused "I think it may be useful in structuring our own interrogation strategies.
Ebony found talking about her ordeal alot easier when she thought of it as a job or technicality rather then what literally happened, though it still wasn't easy. She now had a new respect for those Requiem had trouble gaining information from, now that she had been in a similiar situation. On the side note, she would also like to question Requiem's latest victim. Perhaps he knew more about the identity of the Black Knight...
"If you would allow it, I would also like permission to question the Black Agent in Requiem's grasp." at this she turned to Christian "As he is also part of your department, I will also ask you if this is possible and within the...plans you have for him."
This last statement was more of a formality rather then actually needing permission, though it did open the way for Christian to suggest reasons against it, though he could not completely refuse her. Scott could though, and Ebony prayed he would allow her to do this for her own sanity.

Cade Bishop

If the Yank isn’t out and about in London playing a certain character, he’s Cade Bishop, the computer geek. He sits in his office roaming the internet looking for more criminal activity, seeing if it has anything to do with the Black Chess, trying to link certain events with each other or finding people for the Knights to interrogate. He was always doing something. Since Ebony’s lucky escape, the Black Chess had been rather quiet, which he hated, and the only thing he could work on were the random blowing up shops. That’s the only word he could use to describe the chain of events, he was certain they were the work of the Blacks as the method was one which he recognised. The only link he could make that they were all illegal but there vast number of illegal businesses in London, why these ones? Unless they were distractions…the real question was, distracting them from what?

Scanning his fingerprints, Cade entered the HQ balancing 5 coffees with his right hand. Everyone in the team always worked long hours and a little help from caffeine would pull them through. Pacing through, he passed the reception as he smiled politely at the woman at the desk. The reception was decorated to make it look like a fancy hotel. Taking the lift to the 13th floor, he saw Requiem slumped on her chair as if all the energy she had left was sucked out of her.

“One caramel macchiato for our sweet tooth,” he said as he placed the cup in front of her and continued on his coffee round, “Cheer up sweetheart!”

The next person he should have encountered was Christian but he wasn’t in his office so he carried on to go see Ebony, who also wasn’t in her workplace. “Okay then…” he mumbled to himself and went up another level to the King’s office. Most people were scared of Scott but, though he is slightly intimidated by him, Cade can’t see why. They were all here for the same reason so he couldn’t be that bad. Knocking on the door, he waited for Scott to open, his arm was getting pretty achey from holding the cups of coffee and he just wanted to drop them off and start his work again.

A sound came from his pocket indicating that he had a notification from his iPhone. Luckily, he had been able to install an app which alerted him whenever there was a new crime about. The sound was exciting and brooding at the same time. Skimming through the information, he sighed heavily, it was another move from the Black Chess organisation.

Scott looked up from the desktop screen, his gaze drifted over to Ebony. Analyzing her was written all over his face. He knew why she wanted to be there , she wanted to get the name of the black knight that caused her so much pain. He understood that all too well and would gladly allow her to wreck havoc upon this prisoner but there was many things that concerned him in letting her do this, but the one that really stuck out was would she go off half cocked and go after this black knight without letting anyone know what she was doing. He never would question her loyalty to him nor this team, but the need for revenge is a strong one and she was very clever and witty almost to good for her own good. This request whirled about his mind for what seemed like eternity but finally he came to a decision.

“Let me make one thing clear.” his stern face grew a bit harder almost to a point as if a mad man was taking over his body. “The moment, if there is a moment that you get a name from him you will report to me in the flesh immediately. Do I make myself clear.” The look on his face had the words written in simple English, Do not make me regret my decision. He knew how hard it is not to react upon receiving information that you want so desperately but this was no walk in the park it was going up against agents that were just as good and he could not afford to lose her upon an act of revenge.

“Now, Christian..” His words were cut off by a knock upon the door. He looked down at his wristwatch .. 2am, it was going to be a very long day. “Excuse me.” he rose up from his chair, briskly shook his arms bringing himself to full alertness before moving over to the door. His gaze fell back to the two agents before opening the door. “Agent Bishop.” His senses picking up the aroma of coffee, something that he most definitely use at this moment. “Please come in.” his hand gestured for him to take a seat at the business sofa near the far wall. His eyes fell to it and realized that would be his bed here shortly.

Taking a deep breathe he moved back to his chair and promptly took his place. “Now that Mr. Bishop is with us we can go over what we have found out and what we wish to accomplish.” Scott slowly began to wipe over his eye brow. “We want to bring confusion to the Black Chess pawns by overloading the streets with a lot of worthless activity and phantom agent moves so that Christian, Raquiem, and Ebony here will follow the agents sent to watch our bogus reaction response to the assassination attempt on Mr. Frobisher. The reason why we are doing this Cade is we think the Black chess is tossing a lot of events of different circumstances to see who responds so that our agents can be counted and identified.” he looked over to Cade to get his reaction to what was going on.

Christian took upon himself to ask what was on everyone mind, "What about our double agent, we can't allow him to keep working if he's here. My suggestion is to promote to a worthless position, where he can do no harm."

Grinning he continued, "Something that seems good, but isn't..."

Considering a while he realized that his darker side was coming out, but considering what was going on this was good, "Cleaning up the cell after someone been tortured, that way Requiem and I can keep an eye on them." stroking his chin he shaped the words silently, before speaking, "If they're gone, then no need, but if we can do this, I promise you. Requiem and I could break anyone, even this guy."

He noted people reaction and swished his fringe from his eyes again, he really needed to get that cut.

"As for the plan I'll leave that to you guys, I just want this prick to suffer. If he is the Black Chess greatest asset, then lets destroy it."

Pulling out his mobile he used speed dial to begin calling Requiem, still speaking, "That's my idea. I'm sure she will agree. Besides we've not had a real challenge for a while."

The phone answered and he spoke, "Requiem urgent business is the King's office.

Ebony could not conceal the satifaction which burned through her like fire when Scott gave her permission. It was not so much the need to question the guy, but the fact that Scott still trusted her. She did not like the idea of having to report to him like a rookie, but it was a small shadow on the beam of light.
"You make yourself extrmely clear" she answered his previous question. She smiled, if she could get his name she would have one over him. At that moment Cade entered, and Ebony found herself secretly pleased that he had come, though she was still a little embarassed about the previous events. In all truth she owed everything to this one man, and while she trusted him, she did not like having debts that could never be repayed over her. She thanked him for the expresso and held it in both hands enjoying the warmth and aroma. Forgetting to wait, she took an eager sip and ended up scolding her tongue on the burning liqued.
Some of the pleasure was taken out of it, and she set it down in dissapointment and turned her attention to the meeting at hand. Christian seemed rather eager to dish out a rather unpleasant surprise for the "Jack of Clubs", though perhaps he was just trying to prove himself. As he called Requiem, Cade answered his own phone.
"...Three men died in the accident, one of them being Simon Frobisher...."
Ebony froze. Simon Frobisher...dead.
She barely heard the rest of the conversation.

Requiem Gray; White Knight # 1

When she heard Cade walk up to her and hand her the warm drink of caffeine and coffee, she smiled only slightly and she downed it slowly. The warmth made her soul feel lighter in a way; or perhaps that was her imagination. She watched as he walked off, seeming to be in a chipper mood and she could only flex her fingers on her left hand as she held the drink in her right and continued to slowly drink it and she looked around before taking another sip.

But soon; her phone rang and she slowly picked it up. "Yeah?" When she heard Christian's voice about urgent business; her heart seemed to surge lightly but it was nothing new. "Alright. I'll be there in a few minutes." she said, hanging up and tucking her phone into the right pocket of her dress. She quickly walked down the hallway, her hands still slightly blood stained and a few drops of red staining her dress from the previous torture. Usually she'd change but she didn't have time as she made her way towards the king's office.

When she finally reached it she opened the door after some soft knocks and she walked inside, looking at all who had gathered there. "Alright. I'm here. What's the urgent news or are we waiting to get to that part?" she asked, leaning against the wall with her arms crossed in a serious way as her expression was focused. She always listened.

Scott Nightland:White King

“Thank you Cade.” Scott’s fingers grasping the much needed cup of coffee. Taking a small sip just for the jolt to keep his senses sharp and his mind active and focused. His gaze drifted away from the cup as Christian talked about the double agent. “Well, I would have him eradicated if I knew who it was instead of moving him to an area that would not cause any harm.” Scott taking another sip of his coffee for it was hitting the right spot. “That is why we will be responding with multiple false activities so that we can narrow it down to certain individuals. Not a single pawn will be given the same information. We will use different times, meeting locations, movements of our agents and their times of movement, just slight differences in the mission report so that we can monitor the reactions of the black chess when they react to the bait then we will know who is leaking information. Now I’m hoping that there is only going to be one case of this but lets be real, we have already had a clerk betray us so on every leak we bring them in and allow Christian and Raquiem to do their thing hoping that we snag this Jack of clubs.”

“Come in,” Scott decided to bellow out instead of exhausting more energy getting up and opening the door. “Agent Gray.” his tone a little more upbeat now that the caffeine is boosting his energy level. Scott turned toward Cade upon hearing the news of Simon Frobisher’s death. Lowing his head Scott took a few moments to input the data into the story and see where it fits, “I think this action was a real memo sent to Kyle Frobisher. I don’t think they want Kyle dead but are trying to force his hand in doing something. We have to find out what that is. I know it could be the stopping or delaying our construction plans but lets just make sure that we know forsure. ” Looking over to agent Gray, Scott takes a moment to catch the agent up on what is going on and what the game plan is to be. “Now that is not the only mission we have to do. On the assassination, I want a real response to occur but I want it to be shadowed by a false one so that we can watch their response on our response.” He paused for a moment to allow himself time to analyze the multiple scenarios that was flashing through his mind. “Cade, I want you to work on the multiple stories given to each pawn that we have and monitor their actions. I have a New Bishop that will be joining us today and I will have him help you. Christian I want you to work on the real assassination attempt. Put the squeeze on someone and get me some answers on what they are trying to get Kyle to do. Requiem and Ebony I want you to create the false assassination attempt response and find out who responses to our response then capture their agent and question him or her. I want to know who this Jack of clubs is and I want it done as soon as possible. Do what you have to do, I’m tired of getting reports of our agents being killed. It’s time to turn this around and put their agents six feet under.”

Scott looked to each agent, allowing his gaze to rest upon them for a few moments, “I know I don’t need to remind you that we are dealing with a group of agents that are considered to be out equal. So keep a level head out there and take nothing lightly. Keep sharp. With this leak our backup support is so very limited, well virtually nonexistent. If you get into trouble call me but if you completely trust your support pawn then follow your extraction guide lines.” He allowed his gaze to move to each agent, “Is there any questions or concerns?”

Christian grinned and nodded, "Righto Captain, I'll need to think about it, but I'll give ya who I'm going after. And don't worry the murder won't be traced back to us."

Beginning to debate his plan in his head he half-listened to the rest, right if they're going after our Politicians, then logically I need to aim just as high, as it's well known Black Chess has ties to URF (United Russian Federation) and often get's much of their weaponry and technology from there, then I should strike there. If I remember rightly, one of the CEOs of the Sierra Weapon Industry is speaking in White Hall about the tariff costs on the trade between countries, if I removed this man then Black Chess liable not to get more supplies for at least three to four to months. Hmmm

Interrupting who was speaking he yelled out suddenly, "I've got it. Dmitri Volstov of the Sierra Weapon Manufacturing is in London to discuss forming a trade treaty with United Kingdom, this will only help the corrupt MPs in employment of the Black Chess as we are essentially on the brink of another Cold War with URF. I believe by removing this annoyance, we can concentrating on beginning to eliminate Black Chess.

Taking a breath he looked at everyone, wondering how they would react. Luckily he had read newspaper before going to work today.

Close one.

Ebony Gaza
-Currently not undercover

Ebony was content with her mission. Capturing Black Agents was reasonably simple, that is if you had a proper set up behind you. If all went to plan they could even get their hands on the Black Knight...
Christian interrupted her thoughts.
Ebony's eyes widened. He had a point there. Eliminating the Black Agents sounded good, that is if they could stop all these issues between the Black Chess and the Soviet Union.
Ebony struggled to conceal a yawn. It was probably way past her normal hours and she still felt a little weak. She started to anticipate what was to come, to go home an curl up on the couch. To pretend she had nothing to do with the Black Chess. She was just preparing herself to be dismissed, when Cade interrupted her thoughts.
"Gaza, can I have I word?"
She stiffened slightly. She disliked Cade using her last name, though he wouldn't know it. For once she wished he could simply call her Ebony. And then there was the slight discomfort of the rather large possibility that he would wish to make a mention of her previous encounter with the Black Chess. Her wounds were still raw from the encounter, and not necessarily the physical ones. Again she thought of her debt to Cade, and shuddered as she thought of what would have happened if he had not intervened. She had seen enough of Requiem's interrogations to know what was instore. She had only been in the hands of the Black side for a limited time, and yet even the few hours they had held her had been almost enough to break her. She felt a chill run up her spine as she remembered the Black Knight's apparent enjoyment of her pain, the blood and the instruments...The sharp pain of the knives and the sorrow of the mental torture. She could still see his ice cold eyes look at her as a hawk might look at a mouse before it tears it apart.
Abruptly she stopped herself. It would do her no good to remember, only to move on. She gave Cade a small nod to his question before taking another sip of the expresso, attempting to calm herself.

Scott looked up as Christian yelled out about Dmitri Volstov. He pondered over the idea and played a few scenarios coming from the removal of this person. It sounded solid to him, but he was wondering if they would have a back up individual just incase this person was killed. Hell, he would even set up for this man to look like the top dog but in reality have a person in the shadows that actually did all the control and dealings. “I want you to investigate him thoroughly to ensure that he is the actually the dealing man in not just a front. So put pressure on him and see if he breaks if he does I want to know who the deal maker really is and then we can determine whom we wish to make non-existent. We have to move slowly and sure footed on this people for if we tip off them on what we are trying to do then it will be even harder for us to find out what they are up too. So make sure that you weight your options out there before jumping into anything.” His gaze falls to Ebony, “I can’t afford to lose any one of you. Now if you will excuse me I have a few phone calls to make.” Taking a deep sip of his coffee, “Be safe out there and keep a level head. Your all dismissed.

Cade Bishop

One by one the agents left the room knowing that this was the start of another game between the Whites and the Blacks. Leaving the room, Cade walked to his office knowing that Ebony would be following behind. They had to be smart within the organisation as the people were very suspicious, not everyone knew about her incident and that was of course what he wanted to talk to her about, so the safest place to chat was in his office. Closing the door behind him, he stood against the door and pushed his glasses up with his index finger. "You look..." his expression was obvious what he was thinking, the bruises that covered her showed just what she had been through and it was hard to look at her without feeling disturbed, uncomfortable, angry all at the same time. "I mean," he sighed as he struggled to get the right words out, "Gaza, you look like a peach that's been used for baseball for at least 3 games and I just think you should take a longer break, please?" No, Cade was not going to ask how she was as that would have been the most ridiculous conversation starter. It was clear how she was doing and she certainly chose to ignore it. "I'm just worried about ya, you're strong and I admire you so much for that but you're gonna get hurt... again."

The phone started ringing, Cade put his index finger up to pause their conversation.

"Trucker, talk to me,"

"I've just been talking to Simon Frobisher's girlfriend, who's a real hottie by the way, and it turns out that Simon has been financially supporting Kyle,"

"Is that right?"

"Yep, the Blacks destroyed the Bank,"

"Okay, cheers Mark, can you come back to the Castle and make sure all the Pawns are there please,"

"Now? I think she has the hots for me mate,"

"Mark, we have a lot of stuff to do,"

"Can I at least get her number?"

"See you later,"

Cade ended the phone call and put his phone back in his pocket, as much as he wanted to take care of Ebony, he had too much stuff to do. Construct the stories he was going to tell the Pawn, report that to Scott, find out Mr. Frobisher and Mr. Volstov's schedule and wait for the new Bishop to arrive. "Well, if you need any help you know where I am," he said looking straight into her eyes, he was slightly upset that she couldn't ask him for any help and went to do it on her own.

Scott Ponders…

Scott leaned back into his chair once more, a movement that has occurred many a times this day. His hands gently rubbing over his temples while he closed his eyes and took in the information that his new bishop handed over to him. Arms deals, assassinations, bombings, and dead pawns popping up everywhere. He had to get his organization moving a little faster to stop these incidents that are rampaging the streets and taking innocent lives. He knew what the BCO was up too and he had measures set up to deal with that, but it just didn’t seem like enough. He allowed a sign to escape from his lips, “Scott, let Ebony and the others do their job their way. Don’t force them to move faster for that will only put everyone in danger.” he whispered to himself, his mind drifting over to the new bishop, “I hope he moves cautiously and allows his agents to do the same.” he added to the mix of equations that were bouncing around his mind, “Ebony, What am I going to do with you?” He knew she was good but sometimes when it came to personal vendettas she would forget her training and just go on her impulse, but that is where Razorback comes into play, he informed the Colonel of her ordeal and was promised that she would be cared for. He eyed the cell phone and was tempted to call her, to ensure that she wasn’t going off half cocked. “No Scott, trust her and the colonel.” He whispered as he let the darkness consume him…

******************

Thyrone hit’s the streets.

“So, We have a vindictive Queen, whom was spanked out in the field and now needs to be cuddled.” Thyrone shook his head as he left the king’s office. “This is what I joined the WCO for?” He questioned himself as he took the walk back down the hallway. His mind going over all the information that the king told him and what was being implemented at the moment. He didn’t like the idea of watching their watchers and hoping that something comes out of this. Action, action was required to force the BCO into making rash judgment calls and even forcing their pawns and field agents to question the ability of their leader, for money didn’t always ensure loyalty even tho sometimes that was the easiest thing to break was the faineances.

Thyrone entered into the streets with a new purpose. He was the master babysitter and he had to go find the one that he was to watch to ensure that she don’t break a nail. Shaking his head once more before pulling his phone out and dialing the number that he got from the king. He looked down at the screen for a few minutes before pushing the send button. “Now, take it easy and remember that she is still your boss, treat her with respect.” He shook his head and laughed. “Yeah, I will do that,” his wantings was to shove his foot up her arse and tell her to get her act together and act like a professional instead of some weeping child wanting to know what has happened to her parents when it was quite obvious they were dead end of story.

He pushed the send button and waited, “Hello, Ebony ..”

Ebony Gaza
- Currently not undercover

Ebony had walked out of Cade's office a little earlier. He had been busy anyway. She hoped she had made it clear she was not some sort of young kid that needed protecting. It seemed he had forgotten her rank, just because she had made one mistake, albeit a very stupid one, did not mean she needed protecting or that she was defenceless and useless.
Her shift was now over and she was looking forward to a hot bath and a well deserved rest, before planning the cover story to attract the Black fleas. Just as she was heading out of the office area and into the elevator her cell phone rang.
Ebony sighed, her job came first. She opened it and found that the new Black Bishop was calling.
"Hello Ebony..."
"Thyrone Black." Ebony sayed smartly "What are you calling for?"
She was always direct and straight to the point. She also had a bad feeling that from his tone Thyrone Black may prove to be a rather headstrong Bishop. She also thought rather darkly that Scott had better not be using him as a babysitter, if that was so she might perposefully give him some trouble...on second thoughts better not. She had already caused enough trouble as of late, and if she was in Scott's position she would have done the same thing. For all she knew, the Bishop may not even be from Scott, though Ebony doubted it. She knew Scott too well.

Ebony thought carefully about the Bishops question. The problem with phones was you could never see the persons face. Facial expression were easier to read then voices...in most people. It seemed like an innocent enough question from a new recruit, but she had learnt from previous experience that there were two types of new recruits- those that were content just to be part of the organisation and were desperate to please and those that were experienced and tested everyone with their questions, including those above them.
Ebony had a feeling Thyrone was the latter, though it was hard to tell using just his voice. She made a mental note of the jobs that had been asigned to them.
Cade was to release the information to attract the Black agents, then Christian and herself were to identify and "collect" the callers. Knowing Cade, he was probably working on too many cases at once, another man on that job would help keep things moving.
"Actually, this is proabably a good time" Ebony replied to Thyrone "I dare say I have a rather important job for you, however it is probably not wise to discuss it over the phone. What time and place would it be apropriete for me to meet with you?"
