Prefers Charles or Charlie, tolerates "Grey"
AGE | Gender
20 | Male
SPECIES
Witch (... or would it be Wizard, technicality?)
PLACE OF BIRTH
Middle of Nowhere (or Cumberland), Iowa, USA
SEXUAL ORIENTATION
Flustered or oblivious -- without much in-between them.
ABILITY
Elemental, with the powers and abilities ranging and varied from all of the four natural elements at his core. His most dominant element being -- Air, and the use of Aerokinesis that comes readily to his fingertips. While it is widely regarded as the weakest element by most (because it only being useful for defense capabilities, and erm, excellent breath control?), Charles does not seem to mind - and goes by the motto that at the very least, he'll always have it available to him no matter where he might be. Thus said, he does tend to enjoy Fire the most secondly; and reluctantly uses both Earth and Water, while desperately trying not to create mud, again, and again.
MATE
None, but if it happens?
HEIGHT
6'2"
WEIGHT
185#s
HAIR
It's cropped short around the back and sides blending into the top length, that is left long enough to sweep up and back. His hair is a medium mahogany brown, light and airy, has a sheen like chocolate peanut butter. But that comparison isn't entirely fair, because chocolate peanut butter is nothing like hair, and a far stickier mess than the product he uses to keep the style in place. Regardless it is the sort of hair that just "fits in" with his radiant smiles.
EYES
Sitting behind bright blue eyes. No, wait, green eyes. WAIT, GREY!
Now, poetic things could be said about storm-grey seas or monochrome film, but... He eyes are a rather dull color (unless aided by the clothes he wears).
BODY TYPE
Coltish. Strapping. Well-built.
DISTINGUISHING MARKS
Left Side, Full Body (From ankle to neck) -- Tattoo
Always has general collection of bruises and scrapes.
Laugh that fills the room when he is there is unmistakable.
Usually seem wearing his father's old watch - that works, sometimes.
Personality
Charles is a hard working individual, that often puts his job at the dance/yoga studio and others needs before everything else for him (including his own health, sometimes). He is very loyal, and makes friends for life. He can have a smile on his face and a joke ready to spit out, and adores the use of laughter at all times. He is all good feelings and cheerfulness, like a 'human Golden Retriever' - or so he's been told. He hides his shames and fears well, and doesn't show it to just anyone (not even his dear, Mother).
Likes
✔ Random acts of kindness... Making people laugh or smile...
✔ Dancing... Singing, granted likely off-key more often than not...
✔ His part-time job at dance/yoga studio... Music, of all it's many forms (tempos, and beats)...
Dislikes
✖ Rainstorms, and getting wet; plus that evil, evil mud.
✖ Dogs - they're loud, annoying, hairy - and he's allergic.
✖ Vampires AND Werewolves, prefers Witches (and Humans).
Fears
☠ Maze Corn Fields, and yes, he's being honest here; he doesn't like the old feelings found there, or the tight spaces, or the confusion / getting lost.
☠ However unlikely it is - due to his mother changing both of their last names to his grandmother's maiden name, to match when they came to live with his Aunt - he silently aches with the fear that one day, he may meet his father and sisters' again. They didn't accept him back then, why would they have a change of heart now?
☠ Other witches finding out that he isn't particularly keen in getting himself (or the rest of his witch-family) caught up in the mess of the warring of the three supernatural species. He certainty doesn't condone Vampires eating people, or that apparently Werewolves are needing their help to destroy the Vampires (when they where created with that purpose in mind); he doesn't want anyone close to him, or even himself, to die in a pointless war that ancestor's dead bones started so long ago.
Charles Alexander –-- has a rather pompous name for not so pompous beginnings, he is well aware of the fact thank you very much – was born a “happy accident” in the back of a restaurant kitchen that was called the ‘Middle of Nowhere’ in the quaint town of Cumberland, Iowa; when his mother put off labor pains for work, and decidedly at the last second could not make it to the car fast enough to start heading in the direction of the hospital (but with hot water and God willing, Mom and baby-boy were just fine). He was then raised the youngest and only boy child in the family of five, for 13 years among endless corn fields and rather content with being nothing more than a farmers’ son... Everything changed, however, a few weeks after his 13th birthday, when his magical abilities awoke for the first time. It had begun as a typical end of day at the local fall festival, navigating the complicated corn maze - when his elder sisters' lost him, on purpose, as siblings are prone to do. Charles knew that emotions had gotten the better of him, when he'd grumbled annoyed curses under-breath and had flashed a hand-flick at the nearby wall of the maze, but he didn't expect any of this to happen: The wind howled abruptly at his beck-and-call, rustling past him unharmed, too flatten the nearby stalks in a wide sweep - unfortunately catching his sisters' unaware. They suffered no more than wounded pride, a few bruises from their smushed (by a great-many plants) falls, and the cold fear that came at a wave of a hand Charles could make the wind do something; his sisters' had reached their father before he could and told him enough of the situation, before Charles could get a word in on his behalf that he hadn't meant to do that - and the family went home in a rush, before any attention could be drawn further towards them. Once they got home, his father's precious 'Alexander' was no longer precious, but a monster that would only bring the family bad fortune, his mother wordlessly intervened, grasping his hand to drag him away to him room, and helping him pack, before packing for herself in turn - they left that night and never looked back... Charles learned on the road to a distant aunt's home in Cherry Blossom, Virginia, all about his magical heritage he'd gained from his mother and her family; and her apologies that she never told anyone (especially after her first two daughters had been 'duds' of such heritage and gifts, and the drastic rarity of a 'male witch' being born). And the two have since lived here peacefully, as Charles learned more and has expanded his Elemental abilities.
