The map shows the three Kingdoms the children reside in and their major cities. The map is not complete, but it's a visual to help everyone get an idea of where things on. The three islands on the map are known as Trinity Isles and each island is named after one of the three gods. The island with a small black, triangular symbol is Eleora's Island and that's where the Sacred Mountain is. On these islands are small villages of men and women who are very religious and worship these gods. They protect the sacred grounds and are isolated from the rest of the world. Aside from that, deep in the Thalessi Kingdom are the Maddening Woods where Serith and the Necromancers reside.

(Roleplay will be starting very soon! Side roles can still be filled if you're interested. There's no limit on them.)

Once upon a time, at the dawn of the age of man, the Goddess of Light, Eleora, could not help but notice the brutality and evil ways of man. She watched as some rose to power, established governments and harmed many of the innocent. Constantly they plundered themselves into a sort of turmoil. More often than not, the governed suffered, starved, perished from illness and many remained poor and without hope. They had no one to turn to in their darkest times. Mankind was barbaric, without order they killed needlessly and raped the women while kidnapping their children. Though a government at first seemed well intentioned, man saw it as a way to gain power and all the luxuries they desired. Man falsely promised peace, protection, and food in exchange for the people's loyalty. And so they rose to power. They had many followers who revered them and served as their guard. The men who came to power formed armies, established kingdoms, built cities and treated their loyal subjects poorly who did not directly serve them. At first, the citizens flourished and were able to start economies and trade. They built their homes and lived happily until their Kings demanded taxes. If the people did not comply, the Kings would slaughter their children or even themselves while taking all they owned. Eventually the taxes were so high, the people had nothing to live off of. And so they starved, perished like dust, and grew poor while their Kings bellies grew fat and full while they turned to nothing but skin and bones.

Seeing the state of mankind, Eleora asked two of her closest companions to join her for when she would descend down to the world known as Saria. Her companions were Morrighan, the Goddess of War and Fertility, and Agnar, the God of Destiny. They were like kin to her, they always watched her back as she gladly did for them. Eleora had always been the most powerful, but also the most vulnerable. Due to her strong connection to the parallel spirit world, Eleora brought life and happiness wherever she went and allowed those with nothing but sorrow and evil in their hearts to find peace before they ascended to the heavens. Eleora suffered the most, always experiencing and witnessing the pain in everyone's heart which left her fragile more often than not. Morrighan and Agnar marveled at Eleora's will, love and power. They swore to forever protect her. And so the trio of Gods descended to Saria in human flesh and bone on a quest to restore order and peace around the world. It was not long before the Kings and Queens discovered the three's existence. They feared them more than anything and so they sent armies to kill them. Though their efforts were futile, and the trio vastly overpowered mankind. They chose their own Kings and Queens to rule over the already established Kingdoms. In places where no order existed, they established their own Kingdoms that formed an alliance based on their Gods. However, the three would not remain in this world forever and so they found three humans they found most worthy to receive their divinity and some of their power to maintain what they worked so hard to establish.

Image Image

The three humans chosen were grateful and honored to even be considered by the Gods they loved so dearly. Eleora chose the purest, bestowing upon a child her own purity and wisdom. She gave the child her pendent that would give the child the strength they needed to delve into the spirit realm and purify the evils of the world. The pendent would always present itself at the child's birth. Without it, the child would be powerless. Morrighan chose the bravest. She gave her child her very own sword that existed in another realm. At the child's command, the sword would appear before them giving them the strength and power to wield 1000 armies at once. Agnar chose the wisest. He gave his child his very own armor that would present itself to the child during times of turmoil. They came to be known as “The Children.” And with that the trio of Gods vanished, never to be seen again. Once every few lifetimes, they would appear in their children's dreams to say hello or give advice. But it was a rare occurrence.

The three children, however, were just ordinary humans. Their souls were the key to their divinity. When one of their lifetimes would pass, their divine souls would search the world far and beyond for the next human vessel worthy enough of their divinity. Over time, the children were forgotten and were no longer needed. The triumphant stories of Eleora, Agnar and Morrighan became legend and popular folklore passed down from generation to generation. The stories would be exaggerated, twisted, retold and eventually turned into something they were not. The people stopped believing in the Gods though the churches held true to their beliefs. They continued to worship the three Gods and persevered throughout time. The children themselves began to forget their own divinity and their God-like souls fell into deep slumber. They lived normal lives and suffered just as much as ordinary people did in the good and bad times. However, the churches always knew the stories and legends were true. They also knew of the children. Though the children were no longer to be found, and for a long time they thought they had vanished.

Not even the God of Destiny could have foreseen the events to come. Two middle aged men knew all too well who Eleora, Morrigan and Agnar were. They were once rulers, overthrown by the three Gods and grew to be bitter and cold. The God of Darkness, Lord Serith, had also descended to Saria around the same time Eleora and the others did. He hated that Eleora more than anything. She was always undoing his dark deeds throughout the universe in different worlds and realms. He had decided this time, he would undo her deeds. With an unknowing Eleora, he followed her to Saria and searched for men with the most bitterness in their hearts. Serith offered them revenge and prosperity if they did his bidding. Their revenge was to be the deaths of The Children, the ones the Gods cherished ever so dearly and the men would steal The Children's power. In agreement, the men had to give their souls to Serith for immortality and the power of necromancy. In the interim, the men were to build an army of followers. The necromancers were to recruit men who were bitter and had evil in their hearts. And so the two necromancers did as Serith asked for centuries and they had built a secret empire of demons that were summoned from the Underworld while stealing the souls of men who sought revenge by making them their puppets. The empire was called Al Necromis.

It is now the year 1051. A time of monarchy, travel on horse and foot, farming, and gray brick cities. Al Necromis has finally finished devising their plans and recruiting their army of followers in secret. The Children are not aware of who they even are let alone the foreboding turmoil that has been stirring all these centuries. The Child of Light lives happily in a small village. She is gentle and kind, not to mention very naive. She is too young to work or live on her own, she lives with her grandmother and helps with farming. She is the youngest of the three at this time, not even aware of the other two's existence. The Child of War lives across the vast ocean from the Child of Light. She lives in a mildly populated town. She's homeless and often getting into trouble, but nobly defends her friends. The Child of Destiny lives in a city as a knight. He is two years older than the Child of War and has many resources. He was raised to be a soldier and to defend his city. It was simple enough for him.

Al Necromis's headquarters are located underground in the center of a dark, ominous forest called the Maddening Woods. Serith had created it long ago for the necromancers. It is full of vile creatures that welcome no one but the necromancers. There are two extremely powerful necromancers that rule the empire composed of demons and men who are their puppets. The demons have wills of their own. There are higher rankings of course, it is like a militia. There are demon generals who do most of the dirty work and are able to conceal themselves in mortal men. The story begins with Al Necromis's first move. Serith has once again appeared before his two loyal necromancers in a human form. Pleased with their work, he ordered them to seize the homes of The Children and gave them their exact locations. But they were not to kill The Children just yet, where was the fun in that? Serith had more sinister plans. He wanted to capture the Child of Light, but he did not know what any of them actually looked like. Serith planned to use the Child of Light and transform her into one of his demons to use against Eleora and finally kill her. Eleora would never kill her own child, the plan was perfect. Somehow, Serith knew upon the seizure of the Children's homes, the weapons and the Gods would finally reveal themselves amongst the Children. So the militia was ordered to find the Child of Light and eventually kill the other two.

The Children's homes are currently under attack and it is then when their divine weapons appear before them. The Child of Light receives her pendant, the Child of War receives her sword, and the Child of Destiny his armor. At this, they receive visions from their Gods explaining who they really are and that trouble lurks around the corner. They are then advised to find each other and all meet on the night of the Eclipse in a flower garden atop the Sacred Mountain where they receive their next task. The Eclipse is only three days away and they have no idea where the Sacred Mountain is. However, their Gods assured them that Eleora's light would lead the way. What the Gods did not realize yet, was that Serith was lurking in this world and carefully listening. And so he orders his militia and necromancers to continue conquering towns, cities and villages, leaving no place safe. He wanted them to collect souls and spread fear and bitterness. The Children are in grave danger. Serith awaits the night of the Eclipse where he will reveal himself. On the Sacred Mountain, no fighting is allowed for the person who tries to harm the others will be teleported away from the mountain. It is there where The Children learn of their potential and who Serith is. They must find a way to stop him.

======================================================

Child of Light: This Child is the naive one. They have a hard time understanding why people can hang on to such hatred, bitterness and evil in their hearts. Their purpose is to bring peace and open the hearts of men so that they can one day pass to the spirit world. Only this child has the ability to summon spirits, use light energy, and has some healing abilities. They can also visit someone's memories. This child is a symbol of hope. They gain their power from those who have light in their hearts and are willing to give this child their strength. Not to mention that this child can manipulate light and use spirits to his or her own aid. If too many people are consumed by darkness, the child becomes feeble and very weak. By the end of this child's lifetime, they have seen more sorrow and devastating things than anyone can possibly imagine. Yet this child is still able to thrive in the light and relieve everyone of their pain.

Child of War: This Child is stubborn, fierce, and even sometimes arrogant. They can be thick-headed but display an unbelievable amount of strength and willpower. Agile, fast and incredibly skillful, this child is the strongest warrior and swordsman in the world. Sometimes this child is even called a one man army. They also are strategist and can command armies with tactics no one has even seen before or can possibly predict. When they call upon Morrighan's power, they are able to wield some of the outside elements with their sword such as lightning, flames, and ice. However, this child also has a softer side that very few get to witness. Towards the other children, they are motivators and help keep the three together as one. This child also has a strong attachment to the Child of Light, refusing to let any harm come to their dear friend. However, this child's purpose is to stop any corrupt superpowers around the world trying to disturb the peace and harmony that has long lived throughout the kingdoms. This child appears when there is no possible way that mankind can stop the impending doom conquering them and leaving them utterly powerless. However, this child has the strength and smarts to stop any foe in their tracks.

Child of Destiny: This Child is wise, noble and has a demeanor that leaves people breathless and in awe. They have some psychic powers and the capability to change one's fate. By looking into the hearts of men, they can see the predetermined destinies and fates of people and are able to change those fates that were already chosen from one's birth. They can alter a person's reality, enter one's consciousness, and somewhat manipulate time. This child has the power to change the fate of the world with the help of the other two Children. However, at most, the Child can only go backwards in time by one minute. That does not seem much, but around the entire world a lot can change within a minute. This Child can only push back time once in their lifetime, so it's best to use this ability wisely. To change the fate of the world requires the hearts of men to be open and released from the chains of darkness.

Necromancers: The necromancers are sinister characters. They can revive the dead, steal souls for Serith, and summon demons. Not to mention they also wield the power of darkness, granted by Serith. They are full grown men and have lived since the beginning of time but were given immortality by Serith. They are extremely smart, perceptive, and powerful. They seek revenge on the Gods who once stripped them of everything they ever have and are the only ones who have direct contact with Serith. However, what they do not realize is that they are Serith's puppets and are being heavily manipulated. If they ever fail Serith, he will kill them.

Side roles: Perhaps these characters are friends or foe. Perhaps they are nomads, warriors, priests, average citizens, royalty, kings, queens, stewards, anything. However, they encounter the Children on their journeys and either try to help or hurt the children. It's up to you to decide what you want these characters to do in their journeys.

♦ Absolutely no God-moding in this roleplay. (Lol no pun intended since we are actually dealing with Gods xD) Let me clarify that! I mean no vastly overpowering the other characters. Your character NEEDS to have strengths and weaknesses to balance them out. No character should be invincible. I will not accept your character if they have little to no weaknesses.
♦ Everyone is allowed a maximum of two characters if you so wish. Past that you'd have to personally speak with me about it. Also, I will let no more than two people compete for a role. You can reserve a role for three days, if you do not submit a character I'll consider someone else. Your character does not need to be completely finished when you submit, but at least have a name, face claim and appearance written out. Also pictures/GIFs! :)
♦ This is a literate roleplay. I want to see at least two paragraphs per post. Preferably 250 words, but we all have those days or moments where we want to post but there isn't much to write or whatever reason it may be. But I don't want to consistently see short posts.
♦ I'm looking for ACTIVE roleplayers! If you can't post at least once or twice a week then perhaps this roleplay isn't for you. I'll make exceptions if you have some valid reasons. Talk to me about that if need be.
♦ No drama in OOC chat. Respect each other, that's a given!
♦ If you suddenly disappear for over a week with no prior notice or excuse, I am obligated to find someone else to replace your role.
♦ Anime only!
♦ Gore and romance is allowed, but keep it classy! If you're going to do some X-rated stuff take it elsewhere or private message. o.0" Let's not make everyone uncomfortable. Though I may be a bit more lenient with the gore. Just nothing over the top.
♦ Cussing is allowed, but let's not curse every other word in the sentence. Keep it to a minimum.

"From now until the very last dawn, I must defend with my all."

Asrai's heart was racing, though her mind remained sharp and clear as she carefully observed the demons stirring about. They seemed to lack intelligence but were easily raged. Dangerous nonetheless. In an effort to keep herself calm, she kept taking deep breaths as she tried to devise a plan. The demons were bickering and complaining, Eucliffe was agitated and displeased. As for the enslaved children, they remained silent and defeated. It made Asrai's blood boil. She was not entirely sure she believed what the Goddess Morrighan had told her was true, but if it was then surely she could do something. It was then that an ominous chill filled the air. A dark slit in the air made itself visible which quickly expanded, taking the shape of a set of double doors and a marble stairwell.

The demon general, Eucliffe fell frozen stiff as did the other demons. Her unease was glued to her expression and she quickly turned to the doors, obviously knowing what would follow. The doors creaked open, followed by a gathered darkness and soon after, the most sinister man Asrai had ever laid eyes on. His body was wrapped in a gray cloak and his face was rather handsome. To Asrai, while the man's appearance was frightening, it was also one of the most beautiful face's she had ever seen. In fact, she found herself slightly mesmerized and infatuated the more she watched him.

"Eucliffe." the mysterious man stated. It was odd; He did not even yell yet his voice rang throughout the vicinity and rattled them all. "Report."

Eucliffe was hesitant, her demeanor had completely changed. However, she had knelt before the cloaked man with an apologetic expression. The other demons followed her lead and also knelt before this strange character. Who was this man? Eucliffe then rose her gaze to the sinister man's as her body grew steadily tense. Her wings no longer stretched their full span and cowered inwards instead.

"Milord," Eucliffe began while clearing her throat. "We secured the city but have yet to find the Child of War."

Nervously, her eyes darted towards the enslaved children. None of the other demons even dared to look upwards from the ground. "We captured these children but none have been revealed. There was one girl earlier..." Eucliffe paused, carefully choosing her words for she was uncertain of how her superior would react to the news. "She had fiery bright hair. She escaped, but we've been tracking her all the way out here. My men tell me she's near."

Asrai felt herself snap back into reality upon hearing Eucliffe's words. If she remained in this cave, surely she would be found. If only she could hide her hair somehow. Deciding she had to sneak around the walls of the cave, she carefully picked up her sword so as to not make any noise. She held it upright behind her back for extending it would leave her too exposed. No one was currently looking her way, or at least she hoped. Silently, she tip toed around the wall she had been leaning against and carefully crept toward the edge. So far so good. She crept a few inches more before being able to shield herself behind the tail of the cave. At least she could run now if she had to. Most likely, she should have ran but the enslaved children kept her grounded. She would rescue them and escape somehow. But this man made her worry, he was certainly unlike the others. He looked human so he could not possibly be a demon or so Asrai thought. Perhaps she could throw a rock and distract them all then make her way to the children. Then she could cut their chains, but she would not have much time. Judging by the looks of it, that plan seemed feeble and with the new addition to the party it felt nearly impossible. There had to be some other way. For now she would continue to watch in utter silence, hoping to learn more of this shady character.

By now, the demons under his reign and commandment should know that Lucien does not like loose ends or more specifically disappointments in regards to his given orders. He always expects that his words are followed to the letter and the results must be achieved. It is true that the identity of the Morrighan's child is now known to him, but this information is not revealed to his subordinates. Reason demands him to show leniency at this point, but his preference to remind these demons that failure no matter what kind is not acceptable to him, whatever the given scenario could be. "Is that so." His tone did not held any sort of emotion nor it showed any kind of agitation, but there was no doubt about the cold tinge that would bring unsavory chills of fear to anybody.

He finally reached the bottom and within seconds, the ground beneath Eucliffe glowed and an archaic circular of various symbols and ancient writing appeared. It was illuminated with a dark but brilliant red light as chains came out of this circle and quickly wrapped around Eucliffe's body without mercy. It effectively captured and pinned her to the ground helplessly and agonizingly as the said chains burned her skin with such sweet slowness. "For your and their sake, you men should be right." It was enough to startle the demons in instant realization and their seemingly wild mannerisms quickly tamed by fear which caused by the Black Necromancer's displeasure. His words surged through the lesser demons as they begin the search of the girl that escaped their clutches, not for Demon General, but for their own existence.

The chains tightened even further as they burned its way through Eucliffe's skin. Lucien was not going to relinquish his hold as long as that girl is not captured and presented to him. In addition, he does like seeing the pained expression of the demoness. His vision then drifted towards the captured children who were basically worthless to him. A gloved hand was revealed from the gray cloak which shrouded his appearance to anyone's eyes. It was time to erase trash in this world as what the Dark God would often depict and suggest. A ball of concentrated dark energy formed in front of that hand positioned to the location of prisoners. "Blame Morrighan." That is all he had stated as the crackling black ball from his raised hand dispersed beams of dark energy towards the captured children with a decisive demise.

Image

But the beams which should have eradicated the children into nothingness were diverted from their intended targets as they instead hit the nearby patch of trees which caused a deafening and blinding series of explosions. The rubble and dust blurred anyone's eyesight for the moment but once it settled, the trees were no more and the ground now presented various craters of frightening depth and size. But, it was not that which took Lucien's attention but the presence of another who stood defiantly before him and his demonic subordinates. "I won't allow you to do as you pleased." This was spoken with strength and a fierce determination "Not when I'm around." This was all said by a young man with straight black hair and eyes so golden like the sun itself while showing his fierce resolve. From anyone's eyes, this newcomer was a stranger with a beautiful face and judging by his physique he is not a warrior type. But from what was seen, he must be the one responsible for diverting the attack which Lucien had launched. This meant that there was more to him which made some of the demons apprehensive.

Lucien remained still in his position and it was hard to determine if he was agitated or even bothered by the presence of this unknown man. "Eucliffe." The chains which wrapped around her eased and vanished. She was finally released. "Kill him. Kill them all." He said in a monotone voice but, it was clear to the demons that he demanded the accomplishment of his orders. The stranger narrowed his eyes as he prepared for the attack but not without sparing the children behind him with a few words of comfort. "Don't worry. I won't let them hurt any of you." He looked over his shoulder and gave them a comforting smile before facing the demons that are obviously hell-bent on killing him. Well, he can't die yet and not by their hands as well. "This will end here." He stated as translucent orbs suddenly appeared around him. He then launched it at the nearest demons that attacked him which effectively burned through them while the others suffered instant freezing of their body parts upon collision.

But, he could not cover every point by himself. He delivered another shot towards a group of demons intending to slaughter the children in which he left an opening for an attack to himself which he noticed too late as an attack was launched towards him. He did not have enough time to counter it as he waited for the blow to come.

"From now until the very last dawn, I must defend with my all."

"Is that so." Eucliffe gulped at her Lord Lucien's response. All she could hope was that she came out of this alive. As he came down the last step of the stairwell a circle of red light with ancient writing and symbols began to surround her which made her stomach turn upside down. Suddenly chains extruded from the dark magic circle and wrapped themselves excruciatingly tight around her entire body. A horrified scream escaped her lips as she cried out for mercy and felt her body crumble beneath the chain's overpowering force. They were burning her skin, embedding themselves into her and she writhed on the dry earth unable to stop herself from screaming in pain.

Still hidden, Asrai watched in absolute horror at the turn of events. The demon woman, Eucliffe was her enemy and yet she even felt some sort of remorse for the woman. However, Asrai mostly feared for her own life at the moment. Then, to her dismay she saw the ruthless man turned towards the children with a lifted hand while saying, "Blame Morrighan."

Energy formed at his palm with a blaring sound and within seconds it diffused straight for the children. Asrai stumbled back, feeling as though she was going to throw up. I-I failed... She felt guilt stricken, traumatized even. She lost grip of her sword as it fell at her side and slightly clanked on the ground. Hopefully no one had heard. Then to her bewilderment, the attack had been diverted. Another man appeared before the ruthless killer. He stood tall with irises that looked like the sun. He had a much different demeanor than the killer, and he appeared to be a foe to the demons. The mysterious man turned toward the children and spoke words of comfort, "Don't worry. I won't let them hurt any of you. This will end here."

The ruthless man released the demon Eucliffe who gasped for air as she finally struggled free. Her body was charred with marks of the chains. Raw skin was revealed where she had been burned and in some places blood trickled out of her skin. The woman quickly got to her feet breathing heavily. The dark man had ordered the demons to kill the intruder and innocent children. Eucliffe extended her arm and claws where similar red light gathered and a black polearm appeared. Her wings stretched wide though they were also terribly wounded from the chains.

The demons had lunged for the golden eyed man while others aimed for the children. The man would not have such a thing occur. As the demons attacked his person, he summoned orbs and struck burning through most of the demons and freezing others. He then launched another orb at the group of demons who were about to attack the children. The children screamed and covered their heads but they were saved just in the very nick of time. Eucliffe saw an opening and lunged for the golden eyed man, thrusting her dark polearm in a horizontal motion with the blade aiming for his backside. However, Eucliffe's attack was repelled by another blade that coursed with energy that sparked upon collision. There she was, eye to eye with the demon in front of this small army, in front of this ruthless killer who apparently was actively searching for her, with her sword in hand in attempt to defend the golden eyed man who rescued the children. Asrai's teeth were gritted, her skin stained with charcoal and dirt as she held Morrighan's sword with both hands to deflect Eucliffe's attack. Their weapons slid across each other, with Asrai's sword moving upwards and Eucliffe's downward.

Eucliffe instantly jumped a few feet back, baring her teeth and cursing under her breath. Asrai had no idea what she was even doing, but something told her to defend this man who was able to protect what she could not. She gripped her sword with both hands at the hilt and extended it before her in a defensive stance. However, her footing was clumsy and she awkwardly held the sword. It was evident she did not even know how to use it. However, the sword rippled with light violently. Asrai wasn't exactly sure why as it was not doing this before. Though she took a guess it had something to do with the man she was defending. She gawked at Eucliffe with fear and courage. This very well could mean her demise. But a rage was settling itself in the pits of Asrai's stomach and it felt as though her blood was boiling. Asrai was angry, very angry. Disgusted even. Enough was enough.

"You want me? You have me!" she spat daringly. Though she was not confident in herself let alone her own words. Her brows were furrowed and although her mind was clouded with doubt she stood tall and valiant. Her own appearance was something in of itself. Eucliffe sensed something in the girl that she had not felt before. Hesitantly she stood there trying to calculate her next move. Things were becoming complicated. She could not fail Lucien again. The girl was not as much of a threat as the other mysterious figure, but she could prove to be a nuisance at this rate. As it was, half of her men were already slain at the hands of that intruder.

||"Did you forget? How much we loved gazing at those pink blossoms together? I can't, because it was when I was most happy."||

The blow never came and the cause was a woman with blazing red hair. It was blocked by her and bluntly speaking, it was hard not to notice her appearance because of her unusual hair color. His attention was taken briefly away from the fight as he took note of the girl's appearance and more of the sword she held. It rippled with a violent light. There was no doubt on his mind that this girl was not your typical civilian. There was something more and from what he could understand from her claim of these demons wanting her, this whole incursion was to find her, probably because of that magical sword she held. If that was so, his purpose at this moment is quite clear. He now knows what to do.

He could observe that she was not yet used in swordplay as her movements are more of a child playing sword for the first time. "Hey, you!" He wasn't aware what her name is so, that kind of greeting would suffice for now. "Get to the children." He said as he went in front of her. His eyes locked on to the form of the demoness, but what he was really wary of was the cloaked man observing the whole debacle with an eerie silence. The attack which he had managed to deflect earlier showed its mark on the palm of his hands, they were now overly scorched, but they were burned nonetheless. This implied that he did use quite an effort to stop the attack. "I can't allow them to have you if what you're saying is true."

Various translucent orbs surrounded the remaining army of demons along with Eucliffe and the cloaked man. His eyes were shining with determination. "Listen, you and everyone must live." He murmured under his breath but he was certain that the red-haired woman could hear him. "Don't worry. Everything will be fine we just have to make sure everyone is safe." He spared her a glance as it held gentleness before quickly returning his attention to the opponents before them. "You. You're the one they call the Death Dealer, The Black Necromancer." His words were not really a question. It was more of a statement where there was no room for doubts.

Lucien's seen eye narrowed at this tone. He was already displeased with the order from Serith to babysit the children specifically, the girl who now appeared before him, waving Morrighan's sword like it was toothpick. It was further increased when Eucliffe and her men failed to accomplish his words to a tee and now this uninvited stranger tries to be a Good Samaritan which he is blatantly disgusted about. Why is he surrounded at this very moment of incompetent people? In any case, he did not provide the golden-eyed man with any answer or affirming gesture. He remained placid and quiet not even bothered by the translucent orbs surrounding him and his subordinates. "I will never forgive you. I promised. I'll make you pay!"

After declaring that, the orbs began to warp and then exploded in unison creating a series of explosions which rattled the demonic army. It also provided a cloud of debris and smoke as this explosive orbs power were quite formidable though not as strong as Lucien's attack which was enough to create craters of gaping size and depth. Once the cloud of dusts settled and the damage could be assessed in which another half of the demon horde were blown to bits, brutally injured, unconscious, and disoriented. But as for the prisoners, along with the Child of War, they were nowhere in sight and that alone was enough reason for the remaining demons to cower in fear. All that remained was the mysterious man with a self-satisfied smirk on his face. But, it could be said that he was weary probably from using his power consecutively.

This is because of Lucien who was not quite pleased with the scene presented before him. He was unaffected and untouched by the explosion. Instead, he released a chilling pressure which depicted his power level was still pulled back with great control. "Fools." He finally moved from his position and in a blink of an eye he was before the mysterious man and grabbing him by the throat. His black eye that glowed with an ethereal light held such dark revelation. "You will die." The golden-eyed man managed to chuckle at this. "Yeah, I will but not right now." This time translucent columns appeared at each side of Lucien as it attempted to flatten the Necromancer. However, this was useless as Lucien simply moved away from the position with such speed releasing the man along the process. It served as a good distraction as the said man was now out of sight.

Everything at this moment just gets to his nerves as Lucien faced the remaining demons along with Eucliffe. He was angry and they will feel his wrath soon enough for now, he will handle these blatant disappointments while he looked at his right gloved hand tainted with blood.

On the other hand, the man appeared to the location where he had enclosed the children and Asrai earlier which drained almost all of his energy. It isn't easy transporting a group of people. He fell to the ground obviously tired and barely unconscious. It also seemed that while Lucien pulled away from him, the Necromancer managed to attack him which was evident by the reddening patch around his abdomen. He was bleeding. "I... guess... we survived that..." He said weakly but still with a gentle smile on his face.

"From now until the very last dawn, I must defend with my all."

Nothing seemed to be going as planned for anyone in this turn of events. Asrai had humbly agreed with the man to run off with the children while he dealt with the demons. She was hesitant, but came to understand she'd only hold the man back. As she reached the children she hacked at their chains with her sword which seemed to be able to cut through anything. Freeing them at last she shouted, "Come on! We have to get out of here!"

Her brave face was returning, it reminded her of the slums. Where she protected everyone. Now they were dead. The realization pitted itself in her stomach and made her chest ache with a pain worse than any wound she had ever felt. However, the more she pondered, the more bitter she began to feel. She was gently pushing each of them at the small of their backs to run off when she heard the man speak, "You. You're the one they call the Death Dealer, The Black Necromancer."

The words rang in her head like bells. The Black Necromancer. That was only a legend! A tale told to kids to scare them at night! This could not be possibly happening. The day was becoming overbearing. She made she sure the children ran ahead of her before she followed. They ran for some time, creating a fair distance between themselves and the fight. Asrai had found an area full of a rocky terrain where it would be safe to hide. The boulders would be their cover and there were plenty of holes and crevices to hide in. Asrai directed the children into the area though she lingered at it's edge awaiting the man who had saved these innocent lives. Each minute passed felt like an eternity. Asrai found herself pacing back and forth anxiously. Her sword was settled on a smaller rock a few feet away. It had stopped glowing and Asrai was dumbfounded.

Fortunately, Asrai did not have to wait too long. The young man appeared though his stride was sluggish and he appeared to be wounded. The instant she saw him she ran towards him and slung his arm around her neck to help him walk towards the children. Once they reached them he collapsed to the rocky ground and Asrai quickly observed his wounds, uncertain of how to handle such things. She was certainly no healer. "I... guess... we survived that..." the man said with a weak smile.

"Hey, come on! You have to hang in there!" Asrai practically shouted, her voice was panicked. Two younger children came running to their aid. There was a young boy who wore a handkerchief around his neck. He untied it and passed it to Asrai. The little girl beside him tugged at her arm and firmly spoke, "Apply pressure, it'll slow the bleeding. My grandma was a healer. It does not look too bad, I've definitely seen worse."

Asrai simply blinked at the young girl, impressed by her knowledge. She nodded with a small smile before muttering her thanks. Carefully, she applied the cloth onto the man's wound hoping to slow the blood. Unfortunately there were no bandages available so she was not certain of what more she could do. "Say, what's your name? I'm Asrai," she tiredly spoke. "I'm sorry you got caught in this mess... It seems to be my fault..."

She firmly held her palms over the man's wound while glancing at his face with a weak smile of her own. Guilt was washing over her. All of this happened because of her. The city's destruction, the chase, the children being captured and this man risking his life for them. Her entire being was shaken. Normally, Asrai was able to conquer the most difficult of situations. However, it was as though an entire lifetime of events happened all in a matter of hours. Though she finally felt she could breathe again. With a heavy sigh, she glanced over at her sword which was about a dozen feet away from them. It still did not glow. Asrai kept trying to figure out why or how the thing worked but could not think of an answer. Her smile slowly turned into a troubled frown and her eyes narrowed while she entered some sort of daze. "I don't think we can stay here long either," she almost whispered. An onslaught of questions circled throughout her mind for this man, but she refrained from asking seeing as it would be inappropriate due to their circumstances.

Meanwhile, back at the scene remained a devastated Eucliffe. She almost wished she had died rather than survive for what was about to come her way. Her body trembled for she didn't even dare look at her Lord Lucien who was glaring at her and the others. Everything had completely failed, and the Child of War escaped. Things were looking grim for her and the others who were still alive. She fell to her knees and dropped her polearm, her fresh wounds still stinging from the chains Lucien had bound to her before. She was uncertain whether or not to expect worse, death, or remorse. The others were just as tense as she was and all cowered in fear. Such a change of atmosphere compared to a short while ago.

Perched upon the treetops was a young looking man who had one golden eye and one black. His face was expressionless with lips pressed together. He wore a luxurious navy blue tunic laced with gold and a set of black-grayish trousers that were somewhat on the baggy side. His sinister expression and unique pair of eyes meant that he was no one other than the demon general Zeporon.

Zeporon was perched atop a thick branch, gazing directly down at the child who bore the mark of Eleora around her neck. His pupils were thin and snake-like. While he appeared human, his eyes said otherwise. He was one of Solus's devoted men and had been tracking the child and companion that walked beside her. While he had led the direct attack in the girl's village known as Mossley, he had taken notice of the young girl and the warrior who protected her as they escaped the village. He took it upon himself to follow which turned out to be a wise decision. They did not notice his presence, he was as silent as a small field mouse foraging for food. Just a short while ago he had sent out a demonic messenger crow with a letter to fetch Solus. It described their exact location and his findings.

The warrior who stood by the Child of Light was wounded. He was applying medicine to his wounds while pondering their next move. Though his gaze was glued to the small child and the pendent fastened around her neck. Uncertain whether to attack or wait, he decided to do nothing but watch until his Lord Solus appeared. Anything rash could ruin their entire operation. He was known for his intellect amongst the demon generals though he was not nearly as strong as the others. Though judging by the looks of the two, even he could overpower them both.

He simply remained perched on the thick branch of the tall tree, hiding amongst it's leaves and shade studying the two very carefully just in case there was going to be unsuspecting surprises. Zeporon disliked failure, especially if it was his own. Even his breath was silent. If you stood next to him, you'd begin to wonder if he even breathed at all. Patiently he waited, his eyes glistening any time the sun's rays broke through the leaves of the tree. He craved blood. Dinner. The child looked delicious. Perhaps he'd get to feast on the man beside her. The smell of his blood made was beginning to make his mouth water.

“When it is dark pray for light"

Krein Haar smiled "The pain I feel is nothing young one. With my year's I have learned much about pain and many more about other thing's." He gave a bigger smile and then his broken hand started to glow the green paste seemed to absorb into his skin and then the light faded. Giving a small chuckle "Magic is a rare art that take many years to master even one field properly. I am our mothers only true priest and servant and I devoted my life to learning and teaching her love and gifts. Her gifts are not something I teach freely though for most abuse it." Moving his hand freely again he stood up he seemed refreshed again like nothing happened. He knew though that he cant heal again for today, but he needed to be sure he was at his best and all he could completely heal was his arm the rest of his wounds would need more time to completely heal. He picked up his massive sword again and sat down next to Hiyoko then placed it on the empty side next to him.

He patted the little child on the head "I have learned the hard way that if you trust a person who have never truly spoken with Eleora that they don't have to true love to bear her gifts. For example teaching someone to heal another person with only the reserved and loving power of the light is not wise. They will instead use it for selfish needs such as profit or lordship." Krein Haar faintly remembered far back when magic wasn't as rare then remembering what Hiyoko said he said gently and with a warm tone that would relax most "We are going to find the other children which means we have to go to the sacred mountain which are on the Sacred Mountain. From there we will find the Necromancers and hopefully destroy or turn them back to the light." Krein knew the chance of turning a necromancer back to the light was impossible but he was hopeful for even though they belong to the darkness Eleroa still wishes them to light. Krein Haar dug in his bag and pulled out a bottle of hard spirits and took a drink of it feeling the warmth spread then plugged it and put it back in the bag. Looking to Hiyoko again he said "Do you have any questions or do you want to say anything Young Child of Light?"

||"Since that day, all I ever wanted is to see that his blood to flow and I would make that happen."||

He eased his breathing to prevent his body from spilling too much blood. It would be a reminder for him next time, not to get that Black Necromancer close to him. How to do that? He will have to figure that at some other time since; he's a bit too busy minding his own health for now. This girl encouraged him with a panicked voice to hang on. She won't have to worry about that. He was not going to die anytime soon. That's right until he receives justice. He won't allow himself to be taken by the whispers of death. There's just no way he would give up right now when he had finally able to get up close and personal with that man, that vile Necromancer. "Don't... worry... I'm not going... to die yet..." He said weakly but enough to be heard by her as a stamp of assurance from him.

She settled him at a position while he noticed two kids coming towards them. They wanted to help and he couldn't help but smile at their intention. It was then he felt a hand pressing down his wound to stop the bleeding, but that would be just temporary. He would need to have his wound stitched up from the looks of it. He highly doubted that his organs were harmed. It's more like the Necromancer pierced him just to bleed out, or to torture him further. Sadistic, he would not put that above dark-spawned. He was then taken away from his assessment of his injury when she asked for his name and introduced herself. Her name is Asrai. That's good. It would be good to call her that than you or hey.

"Asrai..." He tested the name as it rolled out his tongue smoothly before he gave his own. "It's Azriel... Nice to... meet you... Asrai..." Azriel was about to initiate a handshake but as he was about to raise his arm. There was a jolt of pain. It seemed that he shouldn't do that. He would have to deal with that lame introduction in his opinion, as he mused upon the hassles about being wounded, he then heard her apologizing, saying it's her fault. "Mess? Don't think anything... about it..." He reached for something inside his pockets which appeared to be a vial of sorts. He had managed to lift his arm a bit to drink its content. It is a pain reliever, so in a few minutes or seconds, the pain would be dulled. He would be able to move around and to treat his wound with a first aid until he could get some tools to close it up.

Taking a few breaths, he looked at the group of children within his line of sight. "I'm already in this mess long before you came into the picture..." His eyes seemed to be looking at the children but, it reflected something different, a memory, a past, which connected him to this present situation. He was looking at something that only he could see and that brought a sad expression upon his face which slowly turned into that of pure hatred in which he finally closed his eyes to break away from a visage which seems to haunt him. "It's not your fault... Not at all.... It's not like you chose what happened here today." He said as he opened his eyes once as it regained its glow before looking at Asrai. "It only means that whatever they wanted with you is something they should never have." Azriel looked at the sword leaning against the rock for a few good moments. "That's why you shouldn't let them and I won't either..."

Azriel nodded in agreement to what Asrai said about not to stay long at this place. He was certain that those demons will be searching for them. "I know... We should get the children to a village where they'll be safe..." He affirmed this as he looked at his wound and this time, he lifted his shirt to see the damage. From the looks of it, his assessment was right. The Necromancer stabbed him creating a horizontal slit of sorts. He could only imagine what that man used to penetrate his flesh. "After that, we'll lead them away... I don't think that'll be a problem since you're their target." When that was said, he ripped his sleeves to be used as a makeshift bandage. He handed it to Asrai and held a small smile on his face. "Can you help me out a bit?"

At Lucien's side, he had all the demons that were still alive and breathing suffer a swift punishment for their incompetence. This was in the form of shadow-like tendrils appearing underneath their feet and piercing them in continuous succession as if they were pin cushions and after a while, the said tendrils ripped them apart with only their horrid screams echoing through the area. Their blood sprayed around but none hit him and as if he would allow their disgusting blood stain him. His sight then landed on Eucliffe who had not only failed him once but now twice. It seemed it was wrong to have this demoness be one of the generals, seeing how useless and weak she is.

"Eucliffe." His words did not reflect any kind of emotion which could be said as anger or irritation. But, his earlier actions were not synonymous to his eerie calm demeanor. So, it should be expected when a shadow tendril came out behind her as it thoroughly pierced her shoulder blade and was lifted off the ground. She was then hoisted like a dangling doll in front of Lucien. "Find the child. Bring her to me. Anyone with her, kill." He commanded as the said tendril pulled itself out of his shoulder blade, dropping Eucliffe to the ground. He then removed his blood stained glove and threw it away, but before it could reach the ground. The glove was burned into nothingness and he turned his back to Eucliffe. There was nothing more for him to do here. He will be returning back to his abode as he climbed the marble stairs and the massive doors opened for him. "Failure is equivalent to death." That is all he said for Eucliffe as he entered the doors which closed behind him and then disappeared.

'There is no such thing as an Accident, Just fate misnamed'

Nodding along to Ryu, he cautiously scanned around him, " I trust your instincts... there is a foul wind abound tonight" he said, it seemed to make sense that some force was after him, even without that, any opposing force would not take kindly to two knights, even this far from the city. Locking eyes briefly with Ryu he watched the flinch in his eye, as pain tore through him.. But he reluctantly followed him As he was told

Feeling Ryu lean on him more, the concern grew even larger inside Nero, this pace could not keep up, despite the danger. Ryu wasn't going to last the night let alone three days " Come Ryu... we must close those wounds" it was a risk that Nero was about to take, for when a knight said they were going to close a wound, they were going to burn it closed. The problem with starting a fire now, would be simply if someone was following it was a big clue in where to head, but it needed to be done. " You can tell me the stories from your Nana" he said seeming now to settle his thoughts as he focused on helping his friend.

Placing Ryu down gently, he left to scour the area, collecting all the dry sticks, shrubs and anything deemed good enough to burn, it did not need to be a big fire, just hot enough to heat a sword tip up. " We should be far enough away that anyone who sees this and comes to investigate, we will be long gone.. im taking no argument.. so help me out and show me the wound" Reaching into a pouch onto his side he pulled out a small chunk of flint. For now he had just some shrubs and smaller twigs piled up for tinder. Drawing his sword his used its edge to strike down on the chunk of flint, sending sparks into the tinder, with embers now appearing, Nero leaned down, to gently blow on the fire, nursing it into life. Once a flame was established, he piled on more twigs, and buried his sword tip into the flame as he glanced across at Ryu " So did your Nana have any stories about the gods?"

"Everything must end, to end is to find peace. "

Zeporon's Messnagener bird found Solus several miles away from the castle, he had been heading west on foot, following the main road. The bird delivered it's message to Solus and fluttered off.

"Mossley.." He said aloud, pondering. It would take him a few hours to get there by normal means... A few moments by jumping through shadows, but that ran the risk of detection. The conflict being time wasn't on his side. After a few moments of tossing the pros and cons at one another he begrudgingly he chose Speed over stealth. Solus moved over to the nearest cluster of trees and began whispering a simple chant. His body passed between this world and the next as he fell into the shadows.
Image
This world between was strange, simply black and gray with the sky being an infinite Black mass. The only surface was once the shadows of other objects creating a bridge like pathway, Below it rushed the pure power and magnificence of Magic, much like a river, if one fell into that bliss one would lose their own existence to the raw splendor that was magic. This world was very strange and mostly unknown to humans anymore.

One didn't have a physical form so to speak in this realm, simply their mind resided in this ghostly realm.
Solus had become very use to the feeling that the rushing magic below cast his way, it was like trying to float while being weighed down by lead and iron, however, he moved freely at a blazing speed no longer bound by his physical body. It wasn't long until he had reached the village southwest of Prul.

Solus fell through this shadowy plane once again to emerge just east of the town in the within the wood line as to not been seen simply appearing from the shadows. His men had attacked the town recently... He needed blend in better...An able-bodied young man who hadn't defended his hometown would have stood out...He focused on his disguise again, adding a bit of blood spatter and grime to make himself look like he had been in the battle. Give himself a once over and being satisfied with his work he headed to the main road, the smell of charred wood and flesh caught his nose and he to the town to see his men's' handiwork, and was disappointed.

The town was largely fine... This had the goddess handy work written all over it. He frowned a bit 'Waste of troops, waste of weapons and armor...' He huffed and let his head lull back to gaze at the sky. Just more things to worry about. Keeping an army maintained would troublesome. Zeporon was no doubt watch Solus at this moment, Disguised or not Zeporn would recognize Solus as this was a typical disguise for him. He raised his arms as if to stretch, crossing his wrist. This was a signal saying " Return home, wait for orders."

Solus scanned the horizon and saw figures in the near distance, not too far off were either other survivors of the attack or the child he was looking for. There wasn't much he could do at the current moment, with orders to simply observe and hinder the girls powers it wasn't like he could waltz over, attack, and kidnap the small child. He started walking towards them.
Just a young man, lightly armed with a short sword, with a rather friendly presence about him.

As he neared he gave a friendly wave and smile. It would be nearly impossible to tell that this man walking up to them was one of their greatest enemies...or allies if things went according to plan.

"From now until the very last dawn, I must defend with my all."

Asrai gave a soft smile as she gently grabbed Azriel's torn sleeve. She helped settle him against the rock behind him so that she could more easily wrap the cloth around his waistline. Fastening a tight knot, she then somewhat pouted, "I hope this is okay." She then rose to her feet, the skin over her muscular frame glistening in the sun. Even though she was covered in dust and ash, she still maintained an outwards appearance. Asrai was staring off into the distance, her mind elsewhere. There was a glimmer of ferocity in her bright irises and she clenched her fists. Her gaze than gently rested upon the children who sat nearby waiting anxiously.

"Hey, would you mind grabbing that sword for me?" she directed them towards Morrighan's sword. She did not have a sheath or any way to carry the sword over her back but she knew she had to help Azriel on his feet. The children, wide-eyed, nodded and quickly made their way to the sword. But then the oddest thing happened. The male child tried to lift it with no success. He struggled and pulled desperately and even the little girl tried to lend her strength. But their efforts were futile.

"Miss, the sword is too heavy..." the children muttered embarrassed.

Asrai had a perplexed look on her face. The sword was as light as a feather, surely it was not that heavy? She walked over and grabbed it with no effort whatsoever and it lifted off the solid rock it rested on. Confused, she passed it over to the male child but as he grabbed it he fell down trying to hold it's weight. Asrai instantly grabbed it from him so that the child would not harm himself. She'd have to make due somehow. Making her way back towards Azriel she tucked her sword underneath her arm before helping lift Azriel so that he could slump his arm over her shoulder.

"Come on kids! We're leaving this place!" she shouted before lowering her voice to a quieter volume. "I'm sorry but you're going to have to help me lead them to the next village. I've never been outside of the City of Shimore."

Little did they know was that a crazed, drenched in blood, Eucliffe lurked nearby tailing the group. Lucien had made his point to succeed in this task after seeing to her thorough punishment for failure. Her teeth were gritted, bearing her fangs for all to see. Her eyes had a wild glare as she somewhat limped with a slumped shoulder that trickled with her discolored blood. Kill... Kill... were the only thoughts she could form. Curse that Lucien! Why do I have to be stuck with him? She'd wait to strike and kill those children. She could not wait to see the desperate faces of that wretched girl and whoever that nuisance of a man was. Their scent was strong and she sought nothing more than revenge. Eucliffe decided to wait until they appeared once more, her eyes and ears focusing in everywhere around her.

“Trash that doesn’t even know it’s trash deserves to fall into the abyss."

The God of Darkness strolled through the forest around him, his power masked as he hid underneath his deceptive mortal form. His eyes were soft with sadness as he actively searched for the Child of Destiny. What drew his attention was the steady rise of smoke amongst the trees out in the distance. He approached with a smirk before wiping it from his face and allowed fake tears to fall from his eyes. Serith was an actor, a very good one at that. He trembled with fear and held his arms together looking as though he was in some sort of shock. Alas he approached the small clearing where the smoke originated from. There was a small fire and he instantly recognized Nero's face. Soft gasps for air escaped his lips as he cried. Serith fell to his knees, clenching the grass before him with his fingers as the tears splattered against the ground.

"Please," he whispered desperately. "Help me!"

He quickly glanced up to see through his tears at the reaction of Nero. However, he saw Ryu and received a whiff of the scent of blood. For an extremely brief moment, Serith somewhat tensed and felt his mouth water smelling the blood off of Ryu. It emitted an unsettling energy from his mortal form. But, he quickly got a hold of himself and resumed to his tearful act with the strange energy subsiding as quickly as it submerged. He would befriend the two and travel with them. "I managed to escape," Serith cried while his body continued to quiver. "I have no place to run..."

Ryu Ookami. Brother of the Child of Light. This would be an interesting adventure. Serith's shuddering body could have very well been his excitement but instead it only came off as anxiety. The events he had executed would work in his favor. That is, if these two were as naive as he thought they were. He had to test the playground.

Zeporon had noticed his Master's entrance. While he still remained perched in the trees, he saw his Master's signal to retreat. Solus would take things over from here. With one last disturbing glare, Zeporon silently leaped towards the next tree at impeccable speed amongst the shadows. A brief rustling could be heard from his swift movements that could easily be mistaken for a squirrel. Before returning to the troops, he appeared before Zeporon and knelt before him showing his respect.

"Milord," Zeporon beckoned before meeting his Master's gaze. "They are headed east towards the shores. The Child is accompanied by a warrior. Though... he does not quite seem to be a typical fighter from what I've observed."

Zeporon pointed in the direction in which he came. His different shaded eyes flashed with excitement. Though his demeanor remained calm and emotionless as usual. He then took notice of Solus's disguise and he felt humorous. His Master was always such a cunning man. Though he pondered for a moment before asking, "Would you like to me follow, sir?"

||"For now, we must move to keep on living..."||

"Yeah, thanks." Azriel softly muttered as he patched himself up as best as he can given the circumstances. This would do for now. He would have the healer in the nearby village tend to rest. when she lifted her attention to the kids, he checked on the makeshift bandage around his wound. The pain has subsided due to the drug he took so, he could move by himself. He would just need to make sure that he doesn't do anything too extraneous to aggravate the wound. For now, he steadied himself with the many thoughts entering his head. He would need to have a game plan on how to move the children to safety and also to make sure those demons would not bother these innocents. There was no doubt in his mind that the Black Necromancer was pissed at what happened and that was enough to motivate that demonic army to come after them with full rage.

Normally, he would not have this much to think of. He does only have himself to worry about and really, there are no boundaries about that. But now, there were innocent children which he would need to take account for. It's not like he could just dump them here in the middle of nowhere along with Asrai who is apparently the main target of those demons. His consciousness would not allow it and truthfully speaking, he does not like that idea as well. It was never in his nature to simply ignore people who are in need even if he knows that his life would be put at risk. Anyway, it was not much of a problem since he did want to meet that Black Necromancer. This is was just the first steps to ensure that his goal will be reached soon enough.

His attention was taken from his inner musings when he took noticed of the sword not being able to lift. It seemed it was rather heavy and the only who is able to carry it is Asrai. That figures. If that sword was indeed from one of the primary divinities, then he would not be surprised if those gods placed some kind of insurance on their artifacts. He then saw Asrai getting the sword and walking towards him. She helped him stand up and then announced that it was time for them to leave. Well, that was good. She then told him that his help would be needed due to her lack of knowledge of the lands beyond Shimore. He smiled at that. "I was thinking of that anyway." He said with a cheerful note before gently pushing himself away from Asrai and making sure that he is able to move by his own. "I can handle myself. Don't worry. Thanks."

He moved ahead and looked around as he narrowed his eyes in caution. "We will have to move quietly but fast. I'm sure those guys are after us." He then looked at Asrai. "There's a nearby town once we get through the forest." He then took a deep breath and then looked at the children with a gentle smile. "Just a bit more okay? Everything will be fine soon." After saying that, he then gestured for Asrai to look after the children as he trudged ahead to ensure that their pathway would be without trouble. Hopefully, it would not be. He was not in the best situation to deal with a horde of demons even more so against that Black Necromancer. And, he could not risk that situation especially when he has the kids with him.

Please, never lose what makes you precious.

Hiyoko flinched a bit as the man placed his large hand on her head. As he spoke she smiled but the more he spoke the more disturbed she became. Other children and necromancers. This was all quite a lo to take in for Hiyoko. Then he spoke, some words that bothered the girl a lot.

". . . From there we will find the Necromancers and hopefully destroy or turn them back to the light."

A single word echoed in her mind over and over. Destroy. Hiyoko turned sharply to face him, her small voice filled with emotion as she spoke.

"Why can't we do anything in this world without it involving suffering. . . Death and betrayals? Why can't we all just. . . "

The girl choked on tears as she spat out the rest.

"Why can't we all just get along?!"

Hiyoko's mind drifted back to her lovely grandmother. She hadn't been able to save her precious Nana. Hiyoko watched her bleed, she watched as a monster took her Nana away. Now her savior is speaking of destruction! What madness the world had fallen into. She wiped away her tears and softy muttered an apology before looking out from where they stood. Her bare feet in the grass, her hair blowing softly in the wind, even though she had come from that filthy place there was no muck or anything on her.

As she looked she spied a man in the distance, waving to them. Unsure of how to respond Hiyoko ducked behind Krein shaking slightly. He didn't seem evil but after today . . . She wasn't going to take any chances.

I cannot allow such carelessness!

Ryu was hurt somewhat by Nero's insisting that Ryu wasn't strong enough to carry on, even though Ryu wasn't it hurt his pride to hear it. As Nero spoke Ryu caught himself drifting away, his voice becoming distant and muffled the farther into his sleep he got until he heard a question.
"So did your Nana have any stories about the gods?"

Ryu blinked and began to sit up straighter but fell onto Nero's shoulder. Apologizing profusely Ryu continued, as he couldn't move.

"Yes. . . My Nana had man-many. One of them was about an evil man who turned into a bear because of his greed. . . Eleora's Light guided him and he became the first Child of Light. Granted, he was never perfect. . . Eleora didn't care, the man was contrite and he loved the Light Eleora gave. One day the dark God came and . . . I don't remember the rest. "

Ryu looked to Nero and smiled, his face felt warm, what was happening? Was it because of the bloodloss? No. Was it. . . Unfortunately that thought got caught off by a man stumbling out of the brush freaking out. Ryu rose, causing blood to flow from his wound more, wincing with a grunt of pain Ryu drew his sword and made his way to the man. Placing the edge of his blade by the man's neck Ryu's pupils dilated as he cocked his head giving him a crazed look, it didn't help he was bleeding madly.

"You lie. You lie, you foul pathetic creature. I sense dark, dark evils from you. My instincts are almost never wrong. Name. Now. Coward."

Ryu's knees buckled as sweat beaded on his forehead causing his spiked up hair to fall down more into his eyes, the aqua color blaring through.

"From now until the very last dawn, I must defend with my all."

Asrai felt relieved that Azriel was able to walk on his own. Though it left her awkwardly holding her sword as she watched over the children. A knot began to form in her abdomen. She listened to his comforting words to the children and just as he was about to walk away she grabbed the sleeve of his upper garments.

"Um," she stammered with hesitance. "Maybe I should-Never mind."

Asrai watched him miserably. She was going to offer to stay behind so that no one would be put in danger with her around. Though she had a feeling Azriel would disagree. If he was looking for that Necromancer, she felt certain that ominous man would reappear before her. After all, it was herself that he wanted. Nervously, she let go of Azriel's sleeve before turning towards the children again. Then the strangest thing happened. A ball of light appeared before her and it seemed like she was the only one who could see it. The ball bounced in the air before treading off about 1500 feet back. The light dispersed at a boulder not too far out in the distance and Asrai noticed something peculiar. There was some sort of movement that disappeared behind the boulder. Asrai was squinting, trying to see what it was before realizing something was moving about in the sky. A pair of wings rapidly flapped in their direction and Asrai's eyes almost immediately widened recognizing it to be Eucliffe.

"Azriel!" Asrai exclaimed pointing upwards. "S-She's back!"

Except this time Eucliffe was flying. Asrai was certain Eucliffe did not yet realize she had been pointed out. She was still too far out to see them clearly enough. Asrai had a feeling the demon was coming back with a vengeance. This nightmare just would not end. Was it going to be this way for the rest of her life? Though a rage built up inside of Asrai. She grabbed Morrighan's sword and ran forth. Curse these demons! These Gods! This blood shed! Those disgusting men tainted with darkness! I'll... I'll DESTROY them! The rage fueled her adrenaline. The faces of her perished love ones flashing before her eyes at the sight of this demon. The sword had lit itself again, now rippling violently with energy as Asrai ran. Her strength was increasing, her heart racing as she pushed her feet into the solid ground before leaping a top a boulder that was at least fifteen feet in height. Something she had never done before. With a crazed look in her eye, she twisted her body before chucking her sword into the air. It span like a boomerang and aimed itself directly at Eucliffe.

However, Asrai's effort was futile for Eucliffe's rage was much greater than Asrai's. She shouted angrily as her polearm struck the spinning sword and sent it crashing back into the ground. The woman screamed as she glided down, her wings pressing together as her body began to gain momentum as she darted towards Asrai like a missile. Asrai was not quick enough to dodge. In fact, she did not account for missing her throw. Eucliffe's entire body struck directly into Asrai, flinging her body off the top of the rock and crashing into a nearby wall. The children began to scream and scatter, trying to duck for cover in any possible place they could hide. Upon impact with the wall, Asrai cried out in excruciating pain. The impact alone should have killed her, yet she was in one piece and still alive. Though her mind felt somewhat rattled and warm. She shakily lifted a hand touching the back of her scalp and recovered droplets of blood. How careless of me... Will they die? Asrai pondered as her vision faded in and out.

"Stay OUT of this girl!" Eucliffe spat before wildly scanning the area. Her intense set of purple eyes then fell on Azriel. It seemed as though he was somewhat wounded and Eucliffe found this to be excellent.

“Trash that doesn’t even know it’s trash deserves to fall into the abyss."

Serith acted as if utterly shocked by the sword pointed towards his neck. He whimpered in fact and held his hands up in the air. The tears stopped and he eyed Ryu carefully.

"You lie. You lie, you foul pathetic creature. I sense dark, dark evils from you. My instincts are almost never wrong. Name. Now. Coward."

Serith pondered on this for a moment before his trembling lips twisted into a wicked grin. He rose to his feet, his eyes still black irises indicating his true form was still being hidden. "It seems as though you are on edge, Ryu." No one had revealed any names, yet Serith had just spoken Ryu's. He watched carefully to see Ryu's reaction. Though his brow twitched as he glanced down at Ryu's wound. The smell of blood. It was so strong. Such a heavy flow nonetheless. These two were not dimwitted after all. Daringly, Serith gazed upon Nero with a wild curiosity. It was almost unsettling to watch him look at Nero in such a way.

"My name is not of importance. Lower your sword Ryu," Serith said nonchalantly with a casual shrug. He then placed his index finger atop the edge of Ryu's blade. His smile was disturbing and with one finger, you could feel the amount of force being applied as though it were an entire hand. "Otherwise, you're just going to hurt yourself."

Serith's statement was a threat at the least. This Ryu character was very amusing. Perhaps he'd keep the young man as a mere pet. That would be rather generous of him, sparing a man's life after interfering with the inevitable. Now more than ever, he wanted to mess with Ryu's mind moreso than Nero's. He'd take care of the Child of Destiny soon enough.

||"I'll fight even if I'm already half inside death's door."||

Azriel's walk was stopped by the pull on the remaining sleeve on his shirt. He looked over his shoulders to see that the one responsible for that was Asrai who looked quite disturbed. "What's wrong?" He asked with worry and curiosity. It was obvious on her face that she wanted to say something, but it was left in the air. She dismissed it with a simple statement, saying that it was nothing. "Okay..." He managed to say when she turned her back on him and went towards the children. Actually, he could guess what she was thinking and what she could be feeling at this very moment. Everything happened so fast for her without doubt. He could tell by seeing her unfiltered reaction and confusion. She has no idea what's happening and he wouldn't blame her for that. He at least wanted to answer some of her questions if possible, but now was not the time. They're in a situation that doesn't allow that at the moment.

He shook his head and simply decided to go on ahead. The faster they get out of this situation, the better he could assess why those demons are after her and who she is exactly, because right now, all he has are assumptions based on his personal observations. He truly has a lot of thinking to do. While he was busy with his thoughts, he was taken back to reality when Asrai called out for him in panic. "Huh?" He quickly snapped to her and then looked at the direction where she pointed towards the horizon. There he saw the familiar demoness and clicked his tongue in light frustration. "Asrai, go and---." He was about to say that she should go with the children but he was too late as she jumped to action.

Somehow, he could see why these demons wanted her, but she was not ready yet that much he was certain. He had seen her fight earlier and it was clearly, she wasn't used to that sword which only responds to her. Sometime, emotions are not enough and just like that, it came to reality what he had feared. Asrai was flung to the wall with great impact. "Asrai!" He shouted in concern as he tightened his jaw and quickly took a moment to look at the children who had already scattered about in fear and in hiding. "Don't come out no matter what!" It was then he felt an angry-filled gaze on his form. He me those raging purple eyes with his golden ones which narrowed in caution.

He could already conclude what was the order about him. It was for his death without doubt. Well, he wasn't going to have that anytime soon. But, he must think on his feet now. Asrai was out of the fight for now. The children must be protected as well. He also wasn't in tiptop condition. This was going to be a bit hard and judging by the presence about the demoness, she was out for revenge. "So, your master sent you huh..." He straightened his posture which showed that he would fight. "He shouldn't have sent a small fry to do his job." Even if he was in a bad condition, it would not stop him being cocky and all. In response to his statement, translucent orbs appeared around him. He would get through this and that won't be the last thing he would do, with that the said orbs were launched towards Eucliffe in rapid succession.

As for Lucien himself, he had finally returned to his dominion and abode. He really does not like the idea of babysitting the Child of War more than necessary. Furthermore, he dislikes being around failures which was highlighted by Eucliffe. He had given a simple order and it was not done. She was even foiled so easily by that golden-eyed man. How pathetically weak she is. This will be her last chance for redemption. If she returns empty-handed and a failure, he will erase her existence. However, there would be no concern about Serith's order. It would be accomplished. He would make sure of that after all, he had never failed with the part of his contract. It is why he knew that even if the Dark God hates his rebellious streak, he was indispensable to him at this very moment.

He sat at the window sill in a very casual manner but there was no denying that there was still a presence of sophistication on his posture. His silhouette both mysterious and alluring in every sense as he looked out the window which presented a very stark scenery. In his hand, he holds a small book which he is reading. He preferred this than doing fieldwork as they say. That is why he was here and letting Eucliffe do all the work. What was the use of having subordinates if one would not use them as needed or required? He then returned his attention to the book in his hand. It was a story about a vengeful Hamlet.

This made him remember the golden-eyed man who stated with such strength that he shall make him, Lucien, pay for his sins. Things he had done in the past have now appeared in his present. How nice but it was absolutely humorous and very interesting indeed. He would have laughed if that was possible for someone like him. It is true that man has quite the ability as he had witnessed. But of course, it was no match for him as shown. If that was the case, he will see how far that stranger of a man can go and accomplish that declaration. After all, he has all the time in the world and entertainment was well-accepted when it’s presented before him. Those obsidian eyes of his held amusement as he continued with his reading. For now, it was a rather eventful day, but in his assessment a tiring one due to the incompetence he had witnessed. Yes, truly tiring.

'There is no such thing as an Accident, Just fate misnamed'

Nero gazed deep into the fire as he listened to the story that Ryu was telling, there was reason of course behind hearing this story, It kept Ryu from falling asleep which was important it also kept Nero from his own thoughts. However it seemed neither one of them was to get a reprieve as a figure came stumbling out the bushes, calling for help, seeming to be shaken up. Though his attention was drawn to himself, his armour or rather the divine armor he was wearing seemed to fill with energy, probably unseen to most but Nero felt it, as if his armor was putting it self on edge.

When he brought his attention away from his armor he saw Ryu holding his blade against the arrivals neck, Though it seemed this strange man could at least call Ryu by name which was odd, but anyone who spent enough time in the right place in the city could find such things out, Nero was going to need to find out how much this man knew. Placing himself next Ryu he placed an arm upon him to support him. Though he almost need steadying when the wild gaze fell upon him.

Steeling himself his fixed his eyes upon the dark man, more a test for himself, but also to test the confidence of one who stood before him. " Your name does not interest me.... i am more concerned with whether you are close to a man or some creature." Sly as ever Nero tried the old tricks try and learn the man's name by implying it has no importance " And What did you hope to learn from playing that façade... It seems unlikely that you were here to kill us.... We both know any part of that army could accomplish that so lets not play dumb" Nero could be wrong, the man could be here to kill them, but it didn't feel like that to him, no one of those big creatures would be more effective at that, or that man with the axe, but what stood before him. It would be interesting to see what he could learn from the answer, for any answer if not constructed carefully could give Nero something to work with.

“When it is dark pray for light"

Krein Haar was going to answer the young girls question when a young man appeared with a short sword in hand and covered in blood. Looking at Hiyoko's reaction made him even more wary of this newcomer standing quickly he didn't have his armor on at the time except his leggings but this was a normal human he didn't have to worry about one human. Looking at the man walking over he pulled his sword from the ground and the sword seemed to stir within its dark metal but was then calmed but some other force. Krein looked and said " Drop the sword and stay where you are at I don't want to harm you but no one shall come near the young lady whom I am protecting." In a low tone Krein Haar spoke to Hiyoko "Hiyoko do you know this young man he looks like he has been in battle but I don't want to risk having a stranger join not after today and with you around." Krein would have cut down anyone after the destruction he saw. History has shown that most of those who appear after a raid from the Necromancers army is an agent of the dark themselves or someone filled with blackness. Krein couldn't sense darkness at this range and even if there was he couldn't make an just decision. After all if this young man was in the previous battle then the young man would have embraced hatred in battle. Krein didn't want to needlessly kill with the child of light with him she was already so frail from the event's of today and he would like to spare her from more bloodshed for today.

"From now until the very last dawn, I must defend with my all."

Eucliffe was swift, her purple eyes practically glowing in the daylight with hatred. Though the sun was beginning to set which meant nightfall soon approached. Such a thing would be perfect for Eucliffe. She managed to dodge some of the orbs, then block the remainder of them with her polearm, turning it rapidly in a clockwise motion to cancel out the energy. She dove in from above, landing promptly on the rocky surface of the ground. Her amusement and excitement seemingly vanished, instead she scowled feeling sick and tired of Lucien's torture. One arm held her weapon firmly on the ground while her other free hand began to extend her claws a few inches. Her wounds were visible and raw. Her discolored blood trickling down her limbs in some areas. Eucliffe took a quick glance at Asrai who was stirring about, struggling to keep conscious.

"Small fry, eh?" Eucliffe growled. "I won't be defeated so easily, you know. They don't call me Demon General for nothing!"

Her claw extended forward, with small balls of red light gathering at her finger tips. For some odd reason, her expression became very calm though the anger still tugged at her eyes and lips. Inhaling deep, the red balls suddenly exploded from her claws shooting out small, narrow rays of red light towards Azriel. The energy cackled loudly, the light briefly blinding as it exploded. She lifted her chin, not a peep coming out of her. Eucliffe finally acknowledged that Azriel was a formidable foe.

Asrai grunted, feeling as though she were in a trance. Her vision was blackened as she rested on the floor tiredly. In fact, she wished to just give up. Life had become a never ending nightmare she no longer wished to endure. "Get up..." Asrai heard a voice trailing off in her mind. "Asrai, you must get up! The sword, child! Call the sword, you know what to do. You've done it before." She groaned, uncertain of what was going on. Though she recognized the voice to be Morrighan's and suddenly her focus snapped back. Her eyes opened wide as she heard the demonness Eucliffe spouting words at Azriel. This head wound should be nothing. It was nothing. Asrai lifted an arm, her hand appearing to be clasped over empty space in the air. Though energy gathered in bright light where the sword suddenly appeared before her within her hands. By Eucliffe, you could see it disappear from amongst the solid earth. Eucliffe did not even notice which was her own mistake.

I am War, Child of Morrighan. I can fight, Asrai found herself speaking strange words in her mind that did not feel like her own. But they empowered her. Using the sword as support, she slowly began to lift herself. Her rate of recovery was something remarkable.

“Trash that doesn’t even know it’s trash deserves to fall into the abyss."

Serith's eyes flickered towards Nero when he spoke. He eyed the Child of Destiny carefully with a blank expression. Glancing back at Ryu, he shrugged again, "I only came to warn you two about the danger that lurks."

His hands were clasped behind his back where an artificially crafted emblem from the King himself appeared from shadows that were barely visible. He pretended to pull it from his garments and revealed it to Ryu and Nero, holding the small golden pendant between his index and middle finger. Then Serith noticed how the sun was beginning to set. How quaint, it's almost nightfall, he thought to himself. Though his calm expression remained. "I am part of the King's Council. I'm only sent out in extreme emergencies. Though I'm sure I don't really need to explain why today warrants an emergency."

Serith sighed as he looked to the ground sadly. He appeared truly pained and worried. His mind was working quickly, trying to calculate how he was to explain the 'facade' he was trying to pull off. Suddenly, the idea occurred to him. Glancing back up with a soft expression he chuckled, "You see, the Council knows all about who you actually are Nero. They knew that if the day were to ever come when the Dark God would strike; Most likely you would not trust an ordinary man. I was supposed to keep my identity secret. The Council feared my knowledge would corrupt your progress... I know where we can go to be safe."

||"I'll fight even if I'm already half inside death's door."||

It seemed that his power had decreased more than he had anticipated. His orbs were dodged, defended, and canceled. He narrowed his eyes at this development. He knew from the beginning that he was entering a fight, he is at a disadvantage. But, it's not like he had much of a choice. Azriel had to step up to the plate and be sure that he was enough to keep the children, Asrai, and himself alive through this. He could see that Eucliffe was also not in the best condition which he could only attributed to the Black Necromancer. He doesn't remember damaging the demoness that much. It seemed that that vile man was even cruel to his own subordinates, a creature with such a black heart does truly exist, it seems.

It didn't matter right now as he set aside his pity upon the demoness. She was here to kill him and if that doesn't happen he knew that the Black Necromancer won't be satisfied by inflicting wounds on his servant and longer. This was a battle of survival, would it be him or would it be her, and clearly none of them are ready to face death. His strength is fading that much he could tell and should end this fight as quickly as possible before he keels over or something.

The demoness answered back his insult that she won't be easily defeated being a Demon General. The fates really liked messing with him. He quickly made a barrier in front of him to block off the red energy light she fired at him. It was strong as he was being pushed back. He could have crafted the same shield he did when he deflected the Black Necromancer's attack. But, that had already taken much of his energy. So, all he could do was to wear down the power itself. The short version, this will be a test of endurance. Still, he must force himself and he could feel that his actions were affecting his temporarily bandaged wound. It was now bleeding once more as it seeped through his clothes at an alarming rate and soon dripped to the ground.

Azriel was thankful that he had drunk the numbing drug so, he doesn't feel the pain which should accompany that. He couldn't afford to be distracted. But even then... "Damn..." He muttered under his breath. His energy had been spent too much back earlier and he hasn't recovered much of his strength yet. That's why his barrier began to suffer cracks and like glass, it shattered into pieces which effectively blasted him. He was driven back to a nearby rocky wall as his back hit that hard surface which made him coughed blood in the process. It was still a fortunate thing that his shield had managed to weaken the demoness attack if not, he would have been pierced like paper.

He slowly fall to the ground while feeling new sources of pain from his body. It was still dull one as the drug was still in his system, but he was certain once it wore off. He was in a world of pain. He lifted his head despite his current condition as blood dripped from the corner of his lips. He raised his arm leveling it towards the demoness. "It's not over yet..." With that said, several orbs appeared around Eucliffe and quickly attached themselves to her as if she was some magnet and upon contact exploded.

That was the last thing he could do. He could feel his consciousness fading as his vision started to get blurry. If that demoness was still alive, he could only hope that a miracle does happen.

"Everything must end, to end is to find peace. "

" Drop the sword and stay where you are at I don't want to harm you but no one shall come near the young lady whom I am protecting."

Solus froze mid stride. Had he drawn his sword? His eyes went to the sword, clutched in his right hand and dropped it as if it had suddenly burst into flames. When had he done that?! Fear crept through the old necromancer as he suddenly questioned his sanity.

The back of his mind urged him on and used this strike of emotion to his advantage.
" I- I meant no harm, forgive me I thought I had put it away after the brawl." He answered in a near hysterical tone, the tone being fueled by true emotion. " I was worried about the young lady there, A stranger whisking away a child in a time of battle seemed rather strange kind sir, I had no knowledge that you protected the child."
This was going to prove difficult, with this man watching the child Solus would have to work harder to influence the child.
" Is the child alright?" he asked.
