He yawned and his nose perked up "Shit the food" Skyler whispered to himself taking off into the darkness.Taking the chrispy pieces of deer from over the fire, extinguishing it so he can let the deer cool off. Taking in a deep breath Skyler roared "DINNER IS DONE"
(sorry for not posting yesterday went to go see the avengers... Amazing movie :D)
"I'm sorry," Aello peeped as she flicked on the lgiht, "I didn't realize you were asleep..."
"No honey it's OK," Kathleen smiled as she stretched, "I needed to get up anyway."
"Have you seen Shane anywhere?" Aello asked, worry thick in her voice, "I have been waiting for him..."
"No, I'm sorry honey...I'm sure he will be back soon though."
Kathleen picked up one of her bags and pulled out a pad and a pen, scribbling down the address to the storeroom, the lock code for her unit, and the code to her safe. She took Aello's hand and they walked out into the main room. Kathleen grabbed a bag of dehydrated apples and popped on in her mouth before tossing a bag to Aello. The two sat and ate as they waited for the others to return.

"No... no, no no no no....."
He muttered aloud to himself in disbelief. "What have I done? What the hell have I done? Who are these people? Why can't I remember?!" He thought to himself, franticly. Acting on instinct and fear he sprinted across the room and leapt out of the window into the night air. It was raining hard and Shane was soaked in seconds. He swung his way away from the gruesome sight and kept swinging until he came to a stop on top of a church. He crouched on the top of the steeple and let the rain wash the blood off his body as he shook with fear.
Kathleen stirred from the ruckus, and turned to see Kylar was awake. He was making so much noise, and moving around so much.
This can't be good for his injury...
Spinning to lean out the door she called out to the boy, who was now walking toward the city, "Kylar! Where are you going??? I have to give you a checkup first!"
She hoped he had heard him...standing in the doorway she looked out into the night...a lot of the children are gone...I hope everyone id Ok.
Anger swelled up inside her momentarily, "Come back here!!!" She was worried about them all...and now her head injury patient was walking through a field away from her. A flash of white sped past her as she saw Aello flying out the door past her.
"Where do YOU think you're going young lady!" she called out, stomping one of her boots on the floor. Frustration was all she could feel, she knew there was no way she would make any of them come back...If they wanted to be gone they would go. she sighed and returned to her bag of fruit, resting her chin on her hand in defeat.
Aello
Aello sat and figited in her seat, Where is he... She had been waiting for hours, and worry was spilling from her as she gazed around and twiddled her fingers. I can't wait anymore... she thought as she stood, brushing herself off. Kathleen was standing in the open doorway, so Aello flew right over her, calling back "I'm going to find Shane, I'll be back!"
Looking forward she soared, staying close to the edge of town. Flying higher she thought, I'll be safer higher up.
The city lights shined, and every now and again she saw a human walking down the street, but they never looked up. Most of the ones she saw stumbled around, sometimes even falling to the street. She saw what looked like a small forest inside the city and landed in one of the trees. Peeking out she saw big colorful plastic and metal things, and some humans doing something with lighters and spoons and a picnic table. They were laughing...but sounded really strange. She turned and looked around, there were lots of smaller buildings, they ll had their lights off, and one big building close by that had colorful windows and a cross on top. She wasn't sure where to look, so just perched on the highest tree branch she could find and watched the strange people, waiting for a sign that Shane was close by.

Plopping down on the other side of the room sitting against the wall, the wolf drifted to sleep. His mind fading away, thoughts becoming ideas, actions slowing as slumber overtook him with a smile Skyler was sound asleep.
(It was amazing btw, the hulk is the man)
"Aello?..."
Tears flowed down Aello's face, rolling over her cheeks and salting her lips before falling to the wet cement below her. Puddles of water reflecting a dark, cold moonless night as she paced across a rooftop, she was nearly spotted while perching in what she now knew was City Park.
What if the researchers found him...
"Aello?..."
Her sharp talons made a screeching sound as she swifly turned, sending water droplets flying in her wake. The black clouds hung low in the sky were once again heavy with rain, and began soaking her feathers. Shane was a few feet away from her, body slumped on the concrete roof.
"Shane!" she cried out, stumbling as she rushed over to where he lay, falling to her knees next to his beaten body. She cradled him in her arms, stroking his face as her wet tears fell on his cheeks, mixing with the frigid rain.
"What happened to you," her voice trembled as she spoke. Stroking his face, she looked into his eyes, tears pouring from her own.

"I... I don't know..."
Shane's words were weak as his strength had all but been used up.
"They did something to me Aello... They're somehow able to control me...remotely. I... I killed all these people... so many people...I don't even remember doing it..."
Shane's voice quivered with raw emotion as he felt as though his entire being was tainted by what the facility had done to him now more than ever.
The phrase rang in her head, pounding like a church bell against her temple. She touched his face with her fingertips, "Maybe Kathleen could help you..."
There is no way she could have that kind of equipment at the warehouse...
"It might take a little time," the pain he felt registered on his face, and it reached her tugging at her heart.
"Hey," she said with a half-hearted smile, tears still welling up, "We will figure something out...Kathleen...she can do anything..." her voice cracked a bit with her uncertainty but she continued this time cupping his face to match his gaze, "And I'll be here with you...no matter what, ok?"
Her heart was pounding, the situation started to overwhelm her...being in a place she didn't know, some one she cared deeply for being in pain...she dipped her head for a moment and a stifled sob slipped. She ran her fingers across his body, not knowing what was even hurting him was killing her...
"I'll never leave you Shane...never..."
I should be able to fly back with him...at least until we get far enough out of the city to walk the rest of the way to the warehouse... she looked around and began formulating a plan to get him back the the warehouse. Back to Kathleen. Back to safety...
"I...can't. I can't go back. It's not safe... Not safe for any of you."
Shane said, the young man's voice shaking with anger, fear and sorrow. Shane's body could barely support him anymore but nearly on sheer will alone he forced himself to remain on his feet.
"Aello... I'm sorry but... They did something to me. I-I don't know how to explain it. I just can't go back to the others... If I hurt someone..."
I guess he took a break.
She nearly drowned every time she was dunked. Her lungs felt like they were about to burst. She couldn't speak at all.
She started shuffling around in the chair, moving and moving until the rope gave some space and loosened up a bit. Good! She then started to slowly slip out. She managed to get free. But that was when the pains of nearly drowning took effect. She could barely breathe and move. Joanne staggered towards on side of the wall. Every step added more to the searing pain in her head and lungs. When she coughed, water and blood came out.
Not good. I can't fight in this state. I need to escape unseen.
Joanne moved towards one side of the room, still leaning and rubbing against a wall, until she felt a smooth side pass her shoulder. Huh?
She stopped at the smooth part and began examining it. It looked white like the rest of the wall, but I can feel a frame....like... glass? She raised her hand and began knocking on it. The sound of a glass window emerged. A window! Perfect!
Joanne staggered back a few steps, and then, with nearly all of her energy, ran into the window, smashing through and landing on the grassy earth outside.
"Hey, what was that?" Joanne's ears pricked up. The guards heard the window. She stood up and began to run as fast as she could. I don't know where I am, or where I'm going, but anywhere is better than here. When she reached her maximum speed, her lungs gave another large pain. She tripped and fell, landing in a bush somewhere in the forest surrounding the city. She had managed to run quite far from the lodge. They won't find me.
But the pain was unbearable. It was ridiculous how she was still alive. She was completely inside the shrubbery, but managed to look through the leaves and see her surroundings. In the distance was an old building. It looked like an abandoned factory. She couldn't move, though. She just laid there, lungs full to bursting, and passed out.
((OOC: Little help, guys please?))
Jared glanced down through the window and blanched, suddenly glad he usually didn't move that much when asleep. One wrong move and he'd have come tumbling out... There seemed to be some movement in the trees outside. Suddenly on high alert, Jared reached down to his hip automatically. Only when he reached open air did he remember and grimace at the fact that he didn't have any of his guns. But his instincts were telling him to investigate. He had to do something. Jared eyed the spot where the movement had occurred and then ended. He hoped it was just a false alarm, but just in case...
Carefully noting down the area in his mind's eye, he turned and began taking the stairs down quickly - two or even more steps at a time. At his arrival to the bottom floor, Jared paused, his eyes moving towards the medicine room. Maybe Kathleen would let him borrow a pistol... He strode quickly inside. Nobody was in there. On second thought, Jared hadn't encountered anybody. Even Kylar seemed to have been moved somewhere. Brow furrowing with worry, Jared searched through the bags until he pulled out a gun. It was only half loaded, but Jared didn't want to waste more time looking for ammo. Then, turning, and hoping that the emptiness was just a strange coincidence, Jared moved out.
Finding the general area of the movement was easy. Finding the cause was little more than luck. Jared stared at the figure whom he had nearly tripped over. That missing girl! Jo... Joanne? I think that's her name. Jared decided to put away the mystery of the hybrid's name to the side as he quickly scanned the surroundings and then knelt down by the girl. She was unconscious and injured. A chill ran through Jared as he carefully gauged her wounds. A few chips of glass, rope burns... It seemed that the girl had just escaped something. And the fact that she was just lying here... Worst case scenario, the facility knew where they were hiding.
Jared would have to get Joanne out quickly. He switched his gun to his broken arm. "I'm sorry and I'm glad you're unconscious for this," he told her as he used his one good arm to haul the girl over his shoulder. He gave himself a moment to adjust to the added weight before he turned and began moving quickly back to the facility.
He arrived back without an incident and put Joanne more gently down in the make-shift medical room. It was time to clean out her wounds and fix her up. He was glad that at least his arm was almost nearly fine. This time, he would be able to actually do something.
When she was into the warehouse she saw earlier, her nose was twitching uncomfortably. She could pick up some familiar scents in there, but the excess water in her body was diluting it.
Even though she was placed gently on a table, the pressure on her back pushed around the water in her lungs. Joanne let out a huge cough. Some water came out, but not all of it. It hurt. A lot.
But after the cough her sight became a little better. She looked up to see the man who was treating her. Jared, I think that's his name... He looked like he knew about her burns and glass cuts, but maybe not about the water. She tried to speak, to tell him about her lungs, but instead let out a gargle and another cough.
I hope that's a decent message...
Although in pain, Joanne was glad she was with at least one person she recognizes, as well as him being on the same side as her. She let her mind finally wonder around. I wonder if everyone else is in this place, too. But that might not last. That wretched relative of mine will be coming after me again, and would definitely try to kill me this time. Not only that, but even though he got fired from the facility, he's still in touch with them. He might bring the facility with him this time! That would be terrible! I need to tell everyone about this! No.... I can't do anything right now... I need to heal first.
Joanne stared at at Jared again, watching him treat her wounds. Another cough came out, and she tried to speak again.
"Where's.....S-Skyler?"
