Shino looks elegant in almost every way. She has long, soft, black flowing hair that goes down to her waist, stony grey eyes, and a feminine body type. She’s got a good sized bust and an hourglass figure. Her skin is flawless and soft. She’s not too tall, not too short, and despite her curves, she does have taut, powerful muscles all over her body. She has a face that can be viewed as adorable, attractive, or frightening depending on her facial expression.

As for what Shino likes to wear, when she’s not wearing her school uniform, she wears rather normal clothing as long as her family isn’t around. She likes sneakers, sweaters, jeans, and t-shirts. However, if you knows her family is in town, her clothing choice is much more fancy. She’ll wear skirts and dresses, despite the fact that she prefers suits and ties.

Everyone at the school knows who Shino is. She, being the daughter of a very famous businessmen, had quite the name for herself already, never mind how she acts. Shino is one of the top students in the school, passing every class she has with flying colors. She’s believed to be the smartest student in school, along with her talents with music. She plays an assortment of instruments and has a beautiful singing voice. She carries herself confidently with a sense of pride. She’s generally calm, cool and collected in most situations. There are a lot of girls who like to hang out with her, but she isn’t close to them.

Because of this cold, stony exterior, Shino doesn’t make very many friends. She lives a rather lonely, boring life. If anyone were to get close to her, they would find a much different person. She actually has a rather good sense of humor and loves making other people laugh. She’s playful, loves sweets, and gets very overprotective of her friends. If she does like you, she will smother you with love and affection. She gets very flustered when she receives compliments. She has a terrible fear of anything supernatural or ghost related. |History|
Katsukawa is a name known by most inhabitants of Japan. Shino’s father, Onji Katsukawa, is the owner of a massive, multimillion dollar company that manufactures an assortment of products, including electronics, automobiles, and clothing. So Shino’s life has always been full of… excitement. She has an older brother and a younger sister. Ever since a young age, Shino and her siblings had been sent to the most prestigious schools. Her older brother, Shinji, had all of the family pressure on him. The business was to be passed on to him. Even Though Shino was a child, she could tell her brother was under a lot of pressure. He wasn’t even a teenager and he was constantly stressed out. He enclosed himself from his family, stopped talking to them, stopped eating. One day, something happened. Shino doesn’t know what it was. But all of the pressure came off of Shinji. He was practically disowned by their parents. So the burden of the business was put onto the next in line, Shino.

Shino was 12 at the time. She was going through her last year of middle school. She used to spend weekends hanging out with her best friend. She used to like staying up late watching Disney movies. She used to be an open, playing girl who was smiling constantly. That was taken away with a single conversation with her parents. She finished middle school and was immediately transferred to Okomori Academy, halfway across the country, away from her best friend and little sister.

Shino changed quickly. She knew she had to make her parents proud, for they no longer treat her like their child. They treat her like an opportunity. If that opportunity doesn’t seem to be working out, it will be a lost cause. So Shino knows she has to do good in school. She has to act perfectly. She has to be more than perfect, she has to be the best. That’s why she’s distant. That’s why she keeps her sexuality a secret. She’s even had male dates just to keep her parents from growing sceptical. Her parents were busy on Christmas, so she decided to stay at the school. The last thing she needs is another life-changing a sit down with her parents anyways.

So begins...

Tokyo, Japan || Okomori Academy || Dorm Room 102 || 7:15 AM || Dec. 20th

Matt awoke to the sound of his alarm. He sat up, taking a look around the room, breathing a sigh as he remembered the day he'd arrived at the fancy school.

Opening the door, Matthieu looked around his new home. The room was the size of a small apartment, with all the things you'd find in one, including a kitchen and decent sized bathroom. The dorm was fully furnished with everything he'd need and his books had already been paid for with his scholarship. "...now what?" He asked. The teacher behind him simply left, shutting the door behind her, and leaving 7 year-old Matt to figure out what to do next.

Matt fished around for his glasses and skipped them on, standing and heading over to the bathroom. He was clothed and groomed about 10 minutes later. The time was 7:30, which meant he had about a half hour before the other students started waking up, and he wanted to be as far from the dorms as possible when that happened. It wasn't necessarily the bullying that got to him. It was the people who simply watched it happen, who noticed it all but walked right on past and did nothing at all to help him. That was what he hated.

He slung his bag over his shoulder and slowly opened his door, trying to be as quiet as possible as he locked up his room and tiptoed his way out of the dorms. Luckily enough, no one else was awake yet, except a few teachers and the rest of the Student Council. It was almost 8 by the time he made it to the Student Council room. Phew... He took a seat at his desk and sighed at the stacks of paper in front of him. Most were sign up forms for the upcoming Club Fair, others were student complaints, and the leftover 1% were personal threats.

Matthieu spent the remaining 40 minutes going through a portion of the papers, throwing away those that weren't relevant. When the warning bell rang he was snapped out of his orderly trance and made his way to class, gleefully making it there on time without any complications from his classmates. The halls were filled with students and no one even paid him a glance. That was the one thing about Matt: no one ever seemed to notice him.

Not that he minded.

Aiko Kaine

Kaine blinks once, twice, three times. Slowly, he lifts his head a few inches from the pillow. He squints at the blinking green numbers on his clock and sighs. 8:30. He's running out of time. He drops his head to the pillow, yawning, and a moment later slips out of his bed, taking his sheets with him. He clambers to his feet and wades a shuffling path to the bathroom.

In a few moments, the boy is showered and dressed, his fluffy black hair dripping all over a horribly untidy uniform. His jacket is buttoned wrong and he generally looks silly but he doesn't seem to care, grabbing his books from where he left them at the end of the previous day and heading, still dripping wet and mostly asleep, toward his class.

It's a good day for him.

Mikuru Asahina
Miku blinked, her bright eyes scanned the room before she rose from her bed and stretched letting out a small yawn. She shuffled over to her dresser where she picked up her comb and brushed her hair. The girl neatly parted it down the middle, and tied it to the sides where they hung low with ribbons keeping them in place. Miku didn't normally wake up this early but Christmas break was just around the corner so she wanted to try and make the best of each day and not show up late to class for once.

Her feet carried her over to her bathroom where she ook a quick shower, re-did her hair and got dressed in her school uniform. The pink haired girl then grabbed her books and hurried out the door, hoping not to be late to her class for once. Thirty seconds before the bell rang she rushed into the room and took a seat next to a kid she didn't know. She faintly remebered his name, something along the lines of Matt, she knew that much. Miku then slumped down in her seat, her eyes looking at board, eager to read the first few words.

“I hate mornings.” Shino whispered to herself, her head resting on her pillow. Her eyes were locked on a certain spot on her ceiling. There was nothing special about this spot in particular, she just couldn’t seem to rip her gaze away. Perhaps it was just the exhaustion? She hadn’t gotten that much sleep last night. Maybe it had to do with the fact that this was the last day before vacation started? Vacation, even though she was going to be stuck at the school, sounded very nice. She could spend hours on end in her dorm playing video games… That sounded relaxing beyond belief.
However, school was still going on. She had to remain in tip top condition. Well, at least in the eyes of others. Deep down, Shino knew she was far from perfect. No one was perfect, so she shouldn’t feel bad about it… Right?

A patch of sun leaked through her shades, hitting her eyes. She winced and rolled over, practically leaping out of her skin when the sound of some sort of controller hit the ground. After a good amount of grumbling and mumbling, Shino got up, got dressed, did her hair, and brushed her teeth. She grabbed her things and left her dorm, shutting and locking the door behind her.

Shino was used to the whispering that ensued once she entered the halls. She gripped the strap of her bag, clenched her teeth, and continued walking along trying to ignore the whispering even though she felt like the smallest person in the world. She walked into the room, her shoulders square and her head held high like usual. She took her seat, got her things ready, and waited for class.

Chio was busy slurping down her cold chocolate drink whilst flipping the sheets of her notebook. Despite this, she wasn't actually reading. There weren't even notes on the pages! Sighing loudly and letting her head fall back, she swiveled her head towards the door of the class and blinked. The teacher wasn't even here yet and she was getting bored.

A bored Chio is a dangerous Chio.

She sighed again and looked at her nails, all the while whistling a tune until the sound of a door being opened and shut was heard. Curious as to who, she angled her head -still looking down- in a way that she can stare at the student that entered without looking rude; her green hair serving as curtains to her eyes. It was a habit Chio had gotten; people-watching that is. Sometimes in a not so discreet manner. 'Heh.'

It was a girl. With an expression similar to hers. She smirked at the girl, letting out an amused 'Hmph' and went to face directly ahead. She sipped her cold chocolate again and sneaked a glance at the clock.

Waking up was never something Ai looked forward to. The loving sheets on the silky white bed, the soft-as-cloud pillows and the warmth of the blankets that surrounded her small form was more welcoming that what any person could ever give her. To leave this little home, a warm and safe place where she actually felt protected, was like stepping out in a snowstorm while wearing a bikini. Needless to say it was not pleasant.

"Dammit..." she mumbled, shivering in her raggedy pajama's. This fancy school she attended was always as cold as ice on winter mornings like this. She hated it. She hated the cold, she hated the snow, and she hated this school. So many people went to this place. Blocking them out never worked, the whispered and comments she received, always so annoying and hurtful. After all these years, and all the comments. So damn hurtful.

School awaited. Ai pulled on her uniform, and hugged her skinny arms around her small torso. The walk though the hallway she saw, people trampling over one another, whispering to themselves and spreading gossip. Typical. She kept her head down, caramel hair falling into her eyes so she would have to look at any person.

The light of the classroom hit her full force like a flashlight shinned into her amber orbs. Ai grumbled. This day was getting to a great start, and would only just get better. This was sarcasm, of coarse.

Her seat where she sat everyday waited for her patiently. The seat in the corner of the room, the only person who sat around her was a fairly pretty girl, a year older than Ai, with long black hair and stormy grey eyes. She was taller that Ai, but then again, everyone was.

And so she waited patiently for everyone to pour in, silently praying for the day to be over quickly.

Class seemed to be unceremoniously boring today. Probably because this day was the home stretch to vacation. Halfway through class, Shino dozed off. Well, not exactly dozed off. She sort of slipped into a deep daydream. Just thinking about all of the games she would be able to complete over vacation… All the books she’d be able to read… All the days she’d be able to sleep in…

Shino was jolted from her daydream by the teacher instructing the students to study while he took a phone call in the office. She tensed up, swallowing hard as she realized she totally missed the notes for the second half of the class. A part of her was trying to convince herself that what the professor had been talking about probably wasn’t the important because they were so close to vacation but… the other, more mature part of her knew that she had to get the notes from somewhere. The last thing she needed was to fail her finals… Just the thought of something like that happening made her sick to her stomach.

Swallowing her pride, Shino turned to the girl next to her. She had caramel colored hair and was rather short. She didn’t even know her name… “U-umm… E… excuse me?” Shino didn’t even notice she was blushing. She’s never had to ask for someone else’s notes before. “Can… Can I see your notes for today’s class? I-I sort of… wasn’t paying attention… Oh, my name is Shinobu Katsukawa, by the way. What’s yours?”

Ai took notes throughout the class to keep her mind occupied. She did not want to be here. All this crap the teacher was drowning on and on about was starting to annoy her. Then again, everything annoyed her nowadays. It was just the world itself that got on her nerves, though no fault of her own. Or maybe it was her fault. Never had she pondered it too much.

The teacher announced for them to study for the test while she makes a phone call. Ai scoffed. She knew all this stuff already, and didn't even bother looking at her notes. She started to daydream, though she was broken out of it by a voice called by the person sitting beside her. Ai winced.

“U-umm… E… excuse me?” The girl was blushing, and Ai felt her face heat up too. She wasn't used to people talking to her when they weren't insulting her. "“Can… Can I see your notes for today’s class? I-I sort of… wasn’t paying attention… Oh, my name is Shinobu Katsukawa, by the way. What’s yours?”

"E-eh..." She shook slightly in her seat, her entire face turning a bright shade of red."I-I'm Ai Tasumi." She slowly reached down to her desk and a shaky hand grabbed her notebook. As her tiny hand reached over to hand the note to the girl, Shinobu Katsukawa she noted her name was, her fingers slipped though the binding and it fell to the floor, a loud 'Thump' emitting from the friction of it hitting the floor loudly.

"Shit!" Ai yelled, a hand shaking wildly and her already red face lighting up like a Christmas tree as blood rushed into her cheeks. Her eyes closed tightly, then reopened, trying to reach down and grab the notebook without drawing to much attention to herself.

“I-I'm Ai Tasumi.”

Shino smiled shyly at the girl. The girl was rather shy. Shino herself wasn’t exactly shy, this was just a situation she never liked to be in. She didn’t like to admit her faults or mistakes, so it isn’t surprising that she was blushing. As the notebook hit the floor, Shino practically jumped out of her skin for the second time today. She let out a squeak, blushing even darker as Ai said “Shit!” rather loudly.

“Ahh, I-I’ll get it.” Shino leaned forward and rather for the notebook, but she miscalculated the fact that Ai was a person who moved. She managed to grab the notebook, but Shino smacked her forehead into the back of Ai’s head. With a yelp, she sat up, her hand against her forehead.

Shina wasn’t sure what is was about today. It was just a really off day for her. With tears in her eyes, she managed to sniffle, “I… I’m very sorry for troubling you!” She felt like she was going to cry. Break down. All of that stress was going to finally make her crumble. She breathed in deeply through her nose, trying to stop herself from crying. No one at school has seen her like this. She was always so collected. But they were so close to vacation. So close to a time where she wouldn’t need to be constantly stressed...

Shino's head bumped into Ai's with a such a force for her tin body that she fell back into her seat. She grabbed her head in pain out of instinct, and shook a bit from surprise. Ai sniffed. She was feeling so embarrassed that she didn't even want to look up at the other girl, who probably though she was a klutz.

She heard a sniff, followed by a sniffling voice say “I… I’m very sorry for troubling you!” At this Ai did look up, see's tears in Shino's eyes, looking like she was going to break down and cry at any moment. Ai's eyes widened with fear and guilt. She had never made anyone cry before. It was a horrible feeling. More horrible than anything she had ever felt. How did the bullies of this school even manage to make people cry on a daily basis without feeling so awful that they just want to cry themselves.

"I-I'm sorry! That was my fault!" Ai stammered, trying to get Shino to stop crying, though she had never really tried doing anything like that before, and she knew she wasn't very good at it. "P-please, your not troubling me, d-don't cry, I'm sorry! I'm sorry!"

At this moment Ai felt like she was about to start crying herself.

"I-I'm sorry! That was my fault! P-please, you're not troubling me, d-don't cry, I'm sorry! I'm sorry!"

Shino whined quietly, like a scared puppy. She wiped her eyes with her hands, sniffling softly. It took her a minute or two to catch her breath and stop herself from full on sobbing. She looked at the notes in her hands and back up to Ai, the other girl’s eyes tearing up as well.

With a shake of her head, Shino snapped out of it. She cleared her throat, opened the notebook, and took a few pictures of Ai’s notes. She handed the notebook back to Ai, making sure she was holding onto it tightly. “Sorry about… that. I usually don’t act like that. Today’s been… off.” Shino was soon cut off by the teacher coming back into the room and talking once more. She made sure to pay attention and take notes.

Once classes were over, Shino sighed with relief. She looked over at Ai. “Hey, I’m really sorry about earlier. I kinda… snapped, for a moment.” She blushed and stared down at the ground. Glancing over her shoulder, she saw some other girls ushering her in their direction. Those were the girls she usually hung out with… Shino didn’t like them. They were practically bullies. She scowled at them and took a closer step toward Ai. They scoffed and left the class. “Hey, wanna hang out or something?” Shino asked, hoping she sounded nice. "I mean, school's over, so technically we can do what we want." Shino smiled but then suddenly frowned. "Actually, never mind. I assume you need to go get ready to leave... Probably going to go visit family or something for vacation, right? My parents are both out on business trips..." She muttered glumly.

Shino snapped out of her daze with a shake of her head and a clear of the throat, then opened her notebook and too a few pictures of her notes, and finally handing it back to her very carefully.

“Sorry about… that. I usually don’t act like that. Today’s been… off.” Before Ai could respond, the teacher walking into the room, speaking loudly about whatever they had been learning about before.

The class was finally over, and Ai too her stuff and ran out of the room as fast as she could to avoid being trampled by all the people that were bigger than were and didn't see her. Or the people who likes to show they were bigger than her by trampling her. It was quite bothersome, but Ai was used to it.

Before Ai really got far enough away from the class, she heard someone walk up behind her. She winced, expecting to be made fun off, or hit, or both. The bullies at this school were the worst she'd ever had to deal with. She prepared herself for the worst, gripping her books tighter to prevent them from being knocked out of her hand and shifted her feet slightly so she wouldn't be knocked down so easily as she normally would had.

“Hey, I’m really sorry about earlier. I kinda… snapped, for a moment.” That voice belong to Shino. Ai sighed a breath of relief when she didn't know she had been holding.

“Hey, wanna hang out or something?” She asked suddenly, catching Ai off guard and making her jump a little. Those were words she wasn't used to hearing. Plus they sounded like she was trying to be nice. Another thing Ai wasn't used to. "I mean, school's over, so technically we can do what we want...Actually, never mind. I assume you need to go get ready to leave... Probably going to go visit family or something for vacation, right? My parents are both out on business trips... "

"Um, no actually." Ai frowned, looking down at her feet. "M-mama always has to work, and...I don't have any other family. So, I really have no where to go..." She sighed solemnly. Her only plan this holliday was to sit at home and read, and maybe go to the local indoor pool and swim.

She suddenly realized what Shino had asked.

"Y-yes! I-I...it would be nice...hanging out with someone I mean.

"Um, no actually. M-mama always has to work, and...I don't have any other family. So, I really have no where to go..."

Shino couldn’t help but perk up immediately. She had assumed she would be all alone this vacation. She thought that everyone was going to go home and have a good time without her…

“Y-yes! I-I...it would be nice...hanging out with someone I mean.”

Shino smiled down at Ai, a light blush on her face. “Yay! What do you want to do?” She asked, bouncing up and down on the heels of her feet. “We could go change and meet up at a cafe? Or we could just relax in one of our dorms. I have a lot of video games we could play.” She hummed happily, her eyes practically glowing with excitement. She wasn’t use to having a friend she could hang out with. At least, not in this way.

Ai saw Shino smile with a light tint of red etched upon her cheeks. Ai resented the fact that she had to strain her neck to look up at the taller girl.

“Yay! What do you want to do?” Shino happily asked, bouncing up and down excitedly, in a way that made Ai smile. Ai rarely smiled, and it was a nice feeling to have. “We could go change and meet up at a cafe? Or we could just relax in one of our dorms. I have a lot of video games we could play.”

She loved the way Shino' eyes lit up as she talked. She wasn't used to someone being so happy when they were around her. It made Ai happy. Ai was rarely happy nowadays. Maybe, just maybe, she actually found a friend.

"Um, w-we could go to the café." Ai's face heat up. This is the most she'd talked to a person in a while. "I hear they have really good food. I've never been there, b-but I've heard."

"Um, w-we could go to the café. I hear they have really good food. I've never been there, b-but I've heard."

Shino nodded. “Alright. Well, I’m going to go to my dorm and change out of my uniform. I’ll meet you at the cafe in twenty minutes or so.” She smiled again before turning to walk off. “Talk to you in a little bit!” She glanced over her shoulder at Ai.

As soon as she got to her dorm, Shino undressed. She picked out an outfit of jeans, a button up shirt, and a pair of converse. She gave her hair a quick brush, grabbed her wallet, and was out the door a few minutes later. She jogged down to the cafe; she was the first to arrive. She sat down and waited for Ai to get there.

Ai changed into a long white coat, way to long for her little body and dragged near her ankles when she walked. It was the warmest coat she had. Underneath this she had changed into a button down white T-shirt that required a bow to be tied around the neck to that it stays in place. Her old worn out jeans were the only things she could find to go with this, so she chose to wear these. She did her hair up in a ponytail, pushed her shoulder length layer out of her eyes and let two strands of hair fall free and hang over her torso.

Many of times she has to stop and ask directions for the Café. She had no idea where it was, or what it looked like. Finally someone pointed her in the right direction after she had gotten lost so many times, and she found Shino sitting down waiting for her. Ai blushed brightly.

"S-s-sorry I'm late!" Ai apologized, bowing her head in embarrassment. "I-I got lost!"

Shino tried to be patient. She sat and waited at the cafe for almost a half an hour, and Ai hadn’t shown up. Many rather negative thoughts ran through her mind. Did Ai stand her up? Was this a bit much to ask of Ai, considering they just met? I don’t see what the big deal would be… its not like its a.. d-date… Shino felt her face flush. Stop thinking stuff like that! This is like the first time you’ve ever even had a solid conversation with her…

"S-s-sorry I'm late!" Shino was torn from her thoughts by Ai. Her face lit up immediately, a gentle smile creasing her lips. "I-I got lost!"

Shino couldn’t help but giggle softly. “The cafe isn’t far from the school.. Did you really have that much trouble?” Shino kept her tone kind, albeit a bit playful. She didn’t want to make Ai more embarrassed than she obviously was. “Perhaps we should just go together next time? I’d be ok with that.” Shino beamed. “You were taking a little while so I ordered tea for us… I got green tea. I hope you’re ok with that.”

Ai sat down across from Shino, smiling down at the tea. She did in fact love green tea. She grasped the cup, feeling thankful it was still warm. The warmth of the liquid made her whole body jump with that cozy feeling. Ai was quite pleased.

"I love green tea. Thank you, very much."

Ai suddenly remembered what Shino had asked before.

"Um, I don't leave the dorm very often. Actually, this is the first time I've left the school in a while." Ai blushed as she said that, something she'd been doing a lot today. " So, I didn't really know where anything is...I-I would be more comfortable if we go together next time."

Suddenly, Ai perked up. Shino had said 'next time.' That meant that she wanted to do this again one day. Ai smiled. That also meant Shino wanted to be her friend. Ai wasn't used to having those. She'd always been alone, and figured that's how it ought to be. That she was better off alone. But that was before someone wanted to be her friend, and suddenly she didn't feel as lonely as she had before. She didn't even know she was feeling this loneliness till now. But, Ai guessed, that didn't matter anymore.
