History:

In the beginning of time there was only a holy realm known as Babylon. At its very center lays an amenity that holds no true name. It's light is so pure that any of whom were to look at it would have all their senses blinded. The first things it created were known as Seraphim. Each Seraph overlook a specific law for the universe: History, Justice, Truth, Love, and Sin.

The Seraphim watched over the creation of life among the many worlds in existance.
The realm of Lyfel: A world upon which life grew in abundance and eventually, where humanoid life came to be and free will took claim. Elves, Humans, and other species built homes and kingdoms, governed different regions, which at first seemed fine. Unfortunately, in time, many came to fight over territories. To keep order champions were created by each Seraph, but the Seraph of Sin was forbidden to participate for he overlooked the aspect of sin, and the Seraph of history was forbidden to participate for he was one to record, not to interefere.

The Seraph of Sin disobeyed and championed a queen in a desolate kingdom known as Sheba. As punishment for his disobedience the Seraph was banished from Babylon. In spite, he sought to make his champion immortal and thus fused himself to her soul. Her denizens were soon corrupted and became the first demons and she the mother of abominations. To prevent the further spread of corruption, the rest of the Seraphim banished the whole kingdom into a different plane of existence.

After the Queen's death a century later, the soul would return to the realm of Lyfel. Since the Seraph of Sin was immortal and fused itself with his champion they would forever be reborn into a child born from the act of sin. Babylon did not have the power to permanently remove this spirit nor the realm of Sheba. In solution three of the Seraphs gave their champions a role. Paladins were born to vanquish the corrupted (Justice), clerics and priests to cleanse and prevent the spread of corruption (Love), and the Templar to track and see
the corruption and the corrupted (Truth).

Today: the setting of the RP

Argoroth is a kingdom to which almost all of the human territory belongs, bordering to the elven forests in the east, the great malicious sea in the west, to the freezing mountain in the north, and the desert in the south. It was not always this way however. As far back as the historical documents of men go, Argaroth used to be the furthest western and greatest kingdom of man, but there were many others around it. It was the latest line of Argorian kings, the current one being the third in line, that has been ruthlessly conquering it’s neighbouring states and forced them under it’s rule. The conqured countries are governed poorly, and dissatisfaction among the opressed people grows ever larger.
On top of this, through Argaroths conquerings of the eastern human territories, the kingdom now borders with the elven forests. The king of Argaroth ambitions seem not to be pleased by laying only the kingdom of man under his rule: his armies has begun attacking the elven lands, cutting the forest down.
Both the conquered eastern territory of man, which borders to the elven forests, and the elves themselves, are unhappy with the kingdom Argaroths rule and warmungering.
So, now an alliance between the eastern humans leaders, and the elves has been secretly forged to battle the mutual enemy that is the kingdom of Argaroth.
A war spanning the entire continent, is inevitably coming.

At the same time, the child of sin has been reborned, the new mother of abomination. A darkness is growing, perhaps to cast in shadows the lands of elves and men, once the factions have destroyed each other in war.

-Shevan
-Other(see traveller faction)

Factions-

-Argaroth
Kings guard. Be a general of the king of Argaroth, and rule the greatest kingdom of the known world, and oppress it’s other people. Or maybe infiltrate the royal court and attempt to assassinate the king.

-Paladin
Be a champion of Aath, Seraph of Justice, or a follower of the cause. Paladin are the greatest warriors among the Seraphian factions, whose purpose is to fight the corruption. The paladin are humans and currently side with the Kingdom of Argaroth.

-Cleric
Be a champion of Ilia, Seraph of Love, or a follower of the cause. Historically, the clerics do not carry arms and aid all factions with healing magic and great medical skill. Lately however with overwhelming darkness, in the inevitable conflict between men and elves, and with the birth of the new child of darkness, for the first time in history, the Champions, and only the champions, of love, have been trusted to carry weapons.

-Templar
Be a champion of Lynn, Seraph of truth, or a follower of the cause.
Upon to the king foretelling of a feature, where the kingdom of Argaroth falls to the child of darkness, the oracle was executed for high treason. An act of overwhelming arrogance from the kings side, killing the leader of the templars with the favor of Seraph Lynn himself, defying the very gods of this world. Such a thing had never happened before.
Following the execution of their leader, the templar abandoned the kingdom of Argaroth, and fled to it’s eastern borders, where a resistance to the empire is building. The templar are now tracing the corruption, looking to find and slay the child of darkness before the final vision of their Oracle is fulfilled.

-Elves
Be one of the 5 elven generals, the kings closest advisor, or just an elven citizen whose home tree has been destroyed by the men of Argoroth. Bottom line, be an elf who lives in the vast forest that covers almost a third of the known continent Lyfen. To take the role king of elves, it is required to be closely coordinated with the GMs, in order to drive the story forward.

-Be a traveler
Travel to the lands of men and elves as a bulky bearman from the northern mountains or a nomad boy from the southern desert. A kitsune from across the oceans, or a naga from sea itself. As long as your character is not Mary Sue or God modded, and can either fit in among humans(look like a human), or live among elves(the elves are more open to magical creatures than men) you can be whatever! However, you cannot be technologically more adept than the new society you enter, as it is the highest civilization of this world.

-Sheba
Or if your desires cannot be obtained through any of the factions, you can follow the Shevan Queen, the mother of abominations. If you accept the darkness she offers you can eventually awaken a gift unique to yourself.

More info on factions
-Templar: They are champions who are able to see who and what the corrupted are. When championed their vision vastly improves and they obtain a sixth sense. Few are granted individual abilities for specific tasks.
-Paladin: They are champions who can bring upon justice onto the corrupted. Their instincts and strength increase and can fuse a potent light with their attacks. Some obtain unique gifts that was granted by the Serphim of Justice.
-Cleric: They are champions who can cleanse the corruption. They are able to heal light wounds and stop severe ones from becoming worse. Their ability to remove corruption is limited to how skillful they are at healing. Clerics that are powerful often can cast an array of defensive spells.
-Royalty (Message Zymoth or Armin for limitations)
-Craftsmen: They are often just common-folk
-Traveler: A foreigner, will be thoroughly reviewed by GMs.
-Followers of Sheba: They are corrupted and have a sixth sense, while also being agile and resilient. Once they allow the corruption to consume them they gain a gift unique to the individual.
