a character in “Chronicles of Valore”, as played by lilyWhite

Mirele wears a light blue gown made of elegant silk. Her long blonde hair usually hangs loose down her back. She stands five feet nine inches tall with a slender build.

Mirele holds much curiosity for the cultures of others, but tends to let her high opinion of the undine cloud her judgements of others. While she can be considerate towards species that she respects, her contempt for those whom she sees as barbaric is evident.

Mirele comes from one of the undine islands, locations rumoured to exist but seemingly hidden from the other races. The undine are a race of female creatures who bear a similar appearance to humans. They have fair, pale skin and light hair, and it is rumoured that the never-seen Queens of the undine islands have fish-like features. They have youthful appearances and much longer lifespans than other races, often living to up to a thousand years if they live alone. Undine only have one gender and normally reproduce asexually; although they can have children with most other races, the offspring rarely show undine traits.

Most undine are taught water-based magics, giving their kind an association with water. They also possess an innate magical nature which manifests itself in subtle influences of the undine and others around them. The majority of undine cannot control this magical influence, but those who do can manipulate the emotions of others around them. All undine are affected in two main ways. The first is that if an undine and a mortal have mutual interest in each other, the mortal will find themselves infatuated with the undine. It is usually brought upon by physical attraction, but fascination or intrigue can also cause this effect. The second is if a man of another race asks for an undine to marry him and the undine loves him, she will be compelled to accept the proposal, and in doing so give up their nigh-agelessness and age similarly to the man they marry. The undine view this not as a burden but a miraculous thing, as they believe that true love means giving up your blessings to be with the one you love.

Undine are more comfortable in the company of females, although they do not discriminate against males. They view love and affection as sacred things, ideals to be aimed for. While they can be compassionate and caring for others, some undine will see themselves as above races who don't show the same kind of empathy that the undine know of their own people.
