Appearance: One would not be able to deny the beauty in Catherine's simplicity. Her smile would brighten up any fallen knight's evening which might have been the reason why the late King Jacquo had fallen for her when he was leading a war. Catherine's physical would often be mistaken that of a minor since she only stand 5 foot 4 and is fairly petite.
Personality: Catherine was often the shy and introvert yet happy girl one would meet. She would attract people towards her like a fire to a moth. More over, she would rather sit and observe rather than join a group of girls gossiping about the knights that ride by. All of these qualities have changed since she learned of her growing womb, the man who she once had loved had left a token inside of her. And when she heard that he has passed to the heavens, she decided that she needed to fight for her son's right.

History: Catherine was 15 when she met the man who called his self Jack when the Kingdom was at war. He would often visit her during the quiet nights in her father's inn and would bring her wild flowers
and would sing praises. She eventually gave in and admitted her hidden feelings for him. And on the fort night of the final day of war, she had given him her womanhood- afraid that she won't be able to be with him any longer if in case the battle would take him away from her.
And as the swords clashed against one another, Catherine could only pray to the gods that her Jack would be safe. And as soon as the 3rd morning came, all that was left in the battle field were carcasses that the vulture and wolves feed upon. She hasn't heard anything from Jack, the man she fell in love with but information about the man who would soon reign the Kingdom flowed in. The news ruined her, she could not believe that Jack or more known as Prince Jaquo was in fact a crowned royalty.
Catherine avoided people since then until she got morning sickness and discovered a life has been formed inside her. She was pregnant. And on the 5th month of her pregnancy, the news of King Jaquo's wedding shocked her.
She decided not to let anyone know about the child inside her except for her family.
But after years of torment, the King saw her again and found out about their son- their romance was rekindled secretly. She would be secretly summoned as a wine merchant when the King would visit their town. He confessed his sins to her but promised her that she is indeed the one who he truly loves and not Savannah but they must keep the secret of the identity of their child in secret as it may destroy his reputation and the boy's life. Catherine agreed without a word of hesitation even if deep inside she wanted him to acknowledge their son through out the whole kingdom.
Their secret sojourn would continue until his death had caused an end to it.
And even though the King had known about their son, the secret was buried with him. Catherine knows that her courageous attempts of fighting for his son's rights is almost next to impossible since no one would be able to prove that the boy was indeed King Jaquo's own blood.
