While off stage you might catch him a little more relaxed clothes though he is never without some nice long sleeve attire and his eye patch he also enjoys his piercings as they give him some flare or so he says.

Anyone flirting with his sister, Bland Food, Fish, Getting reprimanded.

Habits:
Adjusting his eye patch and cracking his left wrist are the two most noticeable habits.

Crush:
Not Available - He is open to anything.

Personality:
Friendly and easy to get along with Jean isn't as polite or proper as his sister but he sure is just as fiery in his own way, while his temper isn't as wild his sense of humor and flamboyant attitude is. He isn't afraid to coddle his sister in public or remark on someones fashion choices and while he is friendly and fun he can seem almost motherly to his sister who seems indifferent to the entire thing. Jean is expressive and pretty fun to be around and while his bad boy appearance has attracted attention before well... He turns out to be a total dud when it comes to flirting or even realizing anyone is doing so. Because he's a bit of an air head who tends to sometimes go to far and get himself hurt you will often find him getting yelled at by Lady or pouting because he's upset his darling sister. I suppose you could call Jean high maintenance only the only thing you'd be maintaining is his pride not that he has much of that.

~~~
Skills:
A master of illusion and magic Jean will blow you mind. Aside that he's a decent curry and pastry cook and he can lift stuff.
Family:
Lady Dravvis - Adopted little sister.
History:
Jean like most people at the circus remembers neither how long hes been there or when he joined let alone his life before but he's fairly sure he's been here one of the longest. Jean despite his foggy memory about his past is clear on one thing the day he found his darling little sister Lady. It was a rainy May 17th and he was going through old boxes of supplies and tools when he came across a particularly aged trunk old box he cracked it open and peered inside only to find a doll a beautiful doll with its eyes closed upon pulling it out she woke up and punched him. After that there was quite a bit of running around as the doll literally ran away and through the circus when he finally contained her she seemed to have no memory of what she'd done let alone waking up and let him brush her hair... She had no name and so Jean was more then happy to adopt and care for her. Sense then the pair have lived in the same caravan performed together and welcomed people into the circus.
The story behind Jean's eye patch is a mystery to most including Jean. In fact Lady seems to be the only one who knows how he got it and when he brings it up she gets angry and tells him never to do something so stupid again. By what Jean can remember he was trying out something new with his magic next thing he knew he was on the ground and there was blood everywhere he faintly remembers hearing Lady's voice and the sheer panic in her eyes as she looked over him... A few weeks later he woke up in the caravan with little memory of the incident and an angry crying Lady at his bed-side. Sense that day he's tried to be more careful but he still seems to get into some stupid situation luckily he has Lady to look after him and the rest of the circus just as he looks after her.
Lady Dravvis
Lady wasn't sure how long she'd been awake, or how long she'd been staring up at the ceiling of her and her brothers shared caravan. Most mornings were like this... Though most mornings the Caravan was moving being pulled toward the next destination. The fact that it wasn't moving meant one thing. They had arrived. Sitting up Lady looked across the caravan to Jean's bed. The curtain that should provide him privacy was as usual wide open and Jean was as usual sound asleep and contorted in the oddest of positions. An amused look crossed Lady's eyes as she pulled her curtain and began to change. Knowing she would be forced to wear her more wild attire that evening she decided on something simple to spend the day in. A comfy white sweater and a red skirt she also included white tights and brown boots. Feeling adequately ready to face the day she silently slipped out of the caravan and into the crisp morning air.
Like usual, she had no idea where they were she never did. But they seemed to have settled by a lake the tents were up as were the rides and she knew that the flyers would already have been deposited in the town they were sure to be located outside from. Fog filled the empty circus grounds and Lady was more then happy to enjoy the silence of the foggy morning as she walked toward one of the large tents. It was orange and red and had by far the thickest material this tent was the second largest in the entire circus and was only set up when they would be staying awhile. Tables, chairs and kitchen as well as practicing areas would fill the tent allowing the entire circus staff to spend some good old fashion quality time. Not that they did not spend quality time but there was certainly less of it. During there periods of travel stops would only be a day at the most and only a few things were set up for practice the circus would eat lunch together but aside that would stay out of one another hair. That was simply how it worked. And so Lady would not lie that she actually enjoyed when they stopped for longer periods of time and the big red and orange tent would be set up. It meant she would see everyone and hear them all talk about the wonderful things they had planned. New outfits would be sown and injuries would occur but it was all fun in the end.
Walking into the large tent warmth rolled over Lady like a blanket. She never knew how they got the tent so warm or cool depending or how they got everything to just GLOW glow brightly so that you could see everything. But they did and she loved it. Realizing she was the first one which wasn't much of a surprise Lady walked over to the long dining table and sat down before promptly pulling off her head and depositing it on the table so that she could braid her hair. Jean was the only one with a mirror in the caravan and while he was snoring she preferred to keep her distance he had a tendency to be a cuddly sleeper something she'd prefer to avoid if at all possible. And so she'd braid her hair like this with her head standing on its head while her headless body worked her long black strands into a large black braid. As she worked people slowly filed in one or two maximum the cooks rose early with her and got to work on food and other performers filed in as well. If you looked closely you might see a faint smile on Lady's face but she'd not confirm that she was happy or even thrilled at the prospect of breakfast. It was just breakfast after all.
Jean Dravvis
Jean hated mornings. He absolutely hated them. And he was fairly sure that most performers at the circus would agree. Mornings were evil. Because the circus performed at night this meant staying up all night and then having to adjust your schedule back to somewhat normal for travel only to stay up again. And that was why mornings were completely and utterly vile. The only performer who Jean personally knew to not mind mornings was Lady. No she would always snap awake at some un-holy hour dress and then leave. So that when Jean wake up it was too an empty caravan with an open window something Lady did purposefully so that the smell of food would draw him from his comfortable nest of blankets to the outdoors. With more then a little groaning he pushed himself up and stared hazily at his surroundings. As things came into focus he began to stand his hips cracking and a few other things popping back into place. After standing for a minute or two he slowly began his morning routine. And by the time he was done he looked pretty darn good if he did say so himself. Even if he was wearing one his more relaxed button up shirts and a plain red vest he managed to look fine doing it.
Finally following in the steps of his sister he left the caravan. The sound of birds met Jean's ears and he smiled watching as the fog slowly dissipate and the warm sun slowly crawl toward a more manageable level in the sky. Jean actually reflected little on the morning and more on the angry noises his stomach was creating and so he headed toward the red and orange tent happy to hear the kitchen staff buzzing about as well as a few other people chatting away. He walked in and immediately spotted Lady who was finishing braiding her hair and tieing in a lovely red bow to keep the braid done and to match her skirt. He smirked adoring how even though she denied there being siblings they had both worn red without need of communication. Giving Lady a little wave he walked toward the kitchen and began to help with dishing out the bacon which would also earn him first dibs. And when you worked with as many ravenous and insane workers as Jean did you learned to appreciate the benefits of having a sister who woke you up at un-holy hours so you could get first dibs on your fair share of ultra crispy bacon and were those eggs? Ho ho HO Omelets yes he owed Lady a thumbs up for her devilish waking him up strategy this time.
She was waling in wary. Why was she walking in wary? Why was the space around her dark brown with black parretns? She could feel her heart pounding, but why? What was the danger? Was there any danger?
Squealing noice pierced her ears and made her heart skip a beat. Norma started running as fast as possible. Black patterns matching her running speed appeared on the brown space. She could feel it - she could feel something reaching her from behind...
Norma gasped and started breathing heavily. She looked around - the dark setting was gone, she was in her bed.
"What a horrible nightmare..." She thought.
After a while, Norma slowly entered the dining tent while yawning. It has been some time, maybe even years ever since she joined the circus, but mornings were still difficult. The girl was still fascinated by how little did everyone sleep, yet still have energy to perform.
Norma took a fruit salad for breakfast - healthy food is required in order to perform properly. Her face suddenly lit in joy when she saw the Dravvis siblings - she even forgot how sleepy she was.
"Hey, guys! Good morning!" She greeted them in a lively manner and put her plate on their table.
"You're the first coworkers I see this morning! Haven't you seen the others?" She asked while rubbing her eye.
Ember was very happy~ Right when she woke up, she did her stretches and bounced out of her little room with her cat placed firmly on her head. "Come on, Simon~! The sun is shining~! It's time to play~! And dance around~!" The pale woman chimed to her little kitty, dancing around to find only three others awake. She rummaged around and grabbed herself vanilla cake with a big frosting rose on it~ Yum~
"Oh~ You guys are awake~ It is oh so very nice to see you so early in the morning~!" Ember chimed happily, dancing around as she ate her breakfast cake, the poor cat clinging for life on top of her head. She tackle hugged Lady, her being the closest person to her. "It is a very good morning, yes~? But where is everyone?" Ember asked, turning to where the sleeping quarters were. She set Simon and her cake down before taking a deep breath.
"Rise and shine~! It's morning time~!" She shouted loudly, being everyone's usual morning alarm clock. Ember giggled innocently as she looked at the three fellow members.
OOC: I figured it was a good idea to call you all to the RP XD
Luise slept like the dead that night. She had been so tired from her... Various affairs a few nights before that she slept through the bumping and jolting of the traveling caravan. Had it not been for the intense morning light piercing its way through the crack in her curtains and the loud voice of Ember screeching its way right into her eardrums, she probably would have slept the day away. With a loud groan and an odd, cat-like stretch, Luise pulled herself from her sweltering nest of a bed, made up of blankets and stuffed animals alike. She like it warm, never opening the door for long periods of time of her caravan or opening the curtains, for it would let out the heat. It took a long time for Luise to coax herself awake, finding the strength to don her blouse and skirt, let alone put on a pair of heels, but when she was dressed and presentable, her hair tied and gloves secured, she exited her hotbox and into the morning sunlight.
The fire breather glanced around, a tad impressed that the workmen had managed to get all the tents up in such a short amount of time, though they had done it so many times before. The bright colors of the tents never ceased to please her, the colors kind to the eyes and easily drawing attention. With one final yawn, she marched her way (Which was quite difficult on the dirt with her heels) to the one of the larger tent, where most of the performers had already started at their breakfasts.
Luise slipped past Ember unnoticed as the girl launched herself at The Little Lady, only to huff a breath at her precious 'Breakfast Cake', singeing the very top of it with a quick burst of flames. Really, when would that girl know that a fine woman like Luise need extra sleep the keep up her appearances? Chucking to herself, Luise sat down at the table, pretending she had done nothing wrong, and picking at a piece of fruit with a small smirk.
Jem hadn't slept a wink that night. They had arrived at destination FAR too early, leaving Jem and the other workmen to set up the tents and attractions at the unholy hours of two til seven in the morning, while the performers got to sleep on in their quarters like nothing had ever happened. He felt like he was going to pass out from exhaustion. Not that he was being bitter or anything towards them, he truly liked his job, but he somehow felt this to be a tad unfair. However, he would never say that to any of their faces, for that would be far too cruel.
Dark circles under his eyes prominent, Jem slouched his way to one of the largest of the tents, the one that had caused him the most pain to help put up, for it kept collapsing for some odd reason. Finally, it had stood, and stayed, and Jem felt very accomplished in his acts, no matter how drop-dead tired he was. But now most of the performers were awake inside, chatting cheerily over breakfast. Not wanting to bother them, Jem tried to sneak his way past them to snag something off the table before he planned to collapse into his chambers and sleep most of the day away.
The cool water of the lake licked teasingly at Eryn's toes. She wasn't quite sitting in the water, but the black shorts and oversized t-shirt she wore, her pajamas, were soaked. Though the caravan had been beside the water for several hours, Eryn hadn't mustered the energy to get out of bed until only a half an hour earlier. It's not as if she'd been asleep: most of her nights were spent awake. There was something about being in a moving vehicle that kept her up. She also liked to listen to the circus being set up. The noise of the workers setting up tents and attractions was always nice to listen to, almost relaxing in a way. It was almost as relaxing as the gentle push and pull of the lake against her feet.
If I had a boat, I'd sail all the way to the other side, she thought, tucking a strand of blonde hair behind her ear.
Stretching her long legs out into the water, Eryn let out a sigh and stood up. She listened for the faint bellow of Ember, her daily "wake up call." The ground was still cold beneath her feet, not yet warm from the sun. Eryn liked it that way. She made her way towards a large tent where her co-workers seemed to be gathering. She took her seat at the large table, several seats away from everyone else.
Eryn's hair had a messy look to it, still in a now rugged looking braid from the night before. Her bangs, as well as another small chunk of hair, fell into her eyes, but she did nothing to move it out of the way. It covered her eyes, which meant the dark bags went virtually unnoticed, which was perfectly fine for her. The fact that shes was still in wet pajamas was only a distant thought, hidden by sleepiness. She took a bite out of an apple and leaned back in her chair, folding wet feet underneath a wet bottom. It was going to be a long day.
Embers gasped in complete horror as her cake was set on fire... Her cake! She tried to hit it out with the gloves on her hand, but only ended up smashing her cake. Embers looked down at the smashed stuff in complete and utter dismay. "My... My cake..." She said softly, looking up at Luise, eyes tear rimmed. "Why would you do that?" Embers asked, not taking into account that it was her who had technically smashed it. But that was a natural instinct, snuff out the fire when it starts.
In an act of sorry, Embers ran to someone she hadn't realized was trying to be sneaky. She clung to Jem and started telling him about how mean Luise was for killing her cake. She didn't like fire cake... It burnt her mouth when she tried to eat it... And now she was cake-less... And technically breakfast-less.
Luise was rather shocked at Ember's reaction to her little trick, pausing her picking, mouth agape, to watch in utter dismay as she proceeded to smash her precious breakfast cake to mush. Luise had only crisped the top, burnt the icing a tad, really, and had not expected the cat-loving girl to be thrown into a tizzy because of it. She suddenly felt horrid for her trick, jumping up to her feet from where she sat to try to explain herself, "Ember, seriously! I wasn't trying to-" only stopping as dear old Ember ran straight and true to the bane of Luise's very existence.
She scowled at Jem, but forced it down as she slowly approached, trying to to coax Ember away from him so that Luise herself needn't be too close, "Come on, Ember, it was only a joke... You're cake is still edible..."
Jem dropped the apple he had grabbed from the table as something ran directly into him, clinging to his arm. Frowing at the wasted apple, he gave a sigh before taking in the rest of the issue. He blinked down at Ember, who clung to his arm, starting off to say a signiture, "What'cha need, S-" He was cut off as the silver-haired girl started quickly off into a tangent about how horrid Luise was for ruining her breakfast of sweets. Jem couldn't say he disagreed, liking sweets quite a lot himself, looking up only a brief second from the clinging girl to the fiery one, whom stood a few feet away and looked like she regretted a lifetime. Rightfully so, Jem thought to himself, seeing how distraught Ember was to have her morning ruined.
He patted Ember's head softly, throwing a disapproving look at Luise before looking back with a kinder one, "Hm... You're cake, huh?" He started slowly, "How 'bout we go see if there's any extra in the caravan, yeah? I think there was some in the back..." He suggested in a quiet tone, though he wasn't sure the distraught girl was even listening to him.
Lady Dravvis
Lady blinked her facial expression never changing from its neutral gaze. She did say hello of course she said hello and good morning and she even had a little twinkle of amusement in her eye when Norma practically pranced over. Lady would say she was a decent judge of character and that she may have noticed Norma taking a slightly warmer array of feelings toward her brother. Not that she would mention much. While Jean ravenously ate he spoke to Norma excitedly about the routine ideas he had. He was excited and that meant his mind was completely out of it and that meant that when Ember and Luise had there little fire scandal Lady was one of the only ones left sitting there who actually heard the commotion over the general buzz of talking.
Lady considered helping really she did but she wasn't sure who to help dead tired looking Jem, More then a little upset Ember or the confused Luise. But things seemed to resolve themselves thanks to Jem... Honestly they all relied on him too much. Lady stood picking her head up with her. "Miss Ember, please drag Mr.Jeremy back here after you have your cake... He is in need of some sleep and vitamins most certainly some food also... Oh and Miss Luise she looks a tad pale also..." Lady stopped and eyed Ember before having a faintest of smiles appear. "You look fine though Miss Ember and it looks like you rounded everyone up so thank you. Can't have anyone missing can we." Lady then set her head back on her neck where it belonged before heading toward the crate that held her supplies. She wanted to check on a few people before they ran about getting themselves into trouble and trying to perform with who knows a flu or something worse!
Jean Dravvis
Jean was happier the more he ate and he was eating allot. He'd piled a plate high with food and was hungrily eating as his sister stared vacantly. She rarely ate, rarely needed it actually and sometimes he swore she simply forgot to do it. He was going to comment on it when Norma came over and he got caught up in going through the courteous. "Good morning! How are you? Were performing today its gonna be great! What act are you doing? I thought of a new one for mine! I wonder what everyone else is doing." And all this was said all the while he kept eating.
Norma's smile got bigger when Jean started talking to her with such excitement about tonight's performance. Seeing him so happy motivated her to work very hard on her act in order to bring the audience the same joy she just witnessed.
"It's going to be great, right?" Norma responded with the same excitement.
During the conversation, Norma would be distracter from time to time by the situation between Ember and Luise. She was worried to see the circus' cheerful walking alarm being so sad. However, everything resolved quickly, so Norma continued her conversation in peace.
"We've all been working hard on our acts! It's going to be amazing! I know it! Then we'll be watching the stars! You know... the whole staff..."
Norma noticed there was some vanilla cream on her long sleeve. In her attempt to hide it she managed to push her own plate on the floor, breaking it. At least she was almost finished with the breakfast.
Norma started collecting the pieces of plate.
"This is awful, horrible, despicable! How? Why?" She was thinking.
Luise bowed her head to Ember, terribly sorry that Ember no long had any cake to feed her cat. (Though, Luise was fairly sure Simon could die from that, she didn't want to bring that up just yet.) However, the silver-haired girl surprised her, bouncing back to her usual happy-go-lucky and agreeing to forgive Luise. The Fire Breather smiled, but that didn't last long, seeing how chummy Ember was getting Jem. Making a mental note to warn Ember about how fowl he was later, Luise was ready to turn back to her own breakfast, but Ember had grabbed her hand, dragging her over to where both her and the devil spawn stood.
"We can all get cake together~!" Ember proclaimed happily, locking her hands tightly with both Jem and Luise, lifting them high above Luise's head, but Jem's only seemed to have to bend a fraction. "Off to get cake~!"
"Oh?" Luise started tensely, eyeing Jem, whom seemed to go all goo-goo eyes on Lady as soon as she spoke up, with loathing, ready to try to wiggle her way out of the situation, "Need I come along? It seems you are in..." She seemed to hiss the last two words, a small lick of flames coming out between her teeth, "Good hands..."
Image
Jem wrinkled his nose at the notion of having Luise accompany them. It was clear that Ember was trying to help, linking the three's hands together into a chain, ready for the short adventure to secure more cake for Simon, however strange that sounded, but it was clear neither Jem nor Luise planned on being anywhere close to friends any time soon. But, if he had to, to try not to upset dear Miss Ember, he would endure it for now and go back to viciously ignoring the, excuse his inner language, resident whore.
He was ready to drag both of them off right then in the search for cake, until Lady spoke up, concerning herself with their well-being. The thought of her concerning herself with him, if only for a brief instance, made him smile bashfully to himself, but he covered it quickly with a crisp nod, "Thank you for your concern, Miss Dravvis." Then, coming back to her senses after a long moment, he leaned down to Ember, "Come along, you have to practice for tonight, right? Let's go get your cake quickly."
Lady Dravvis
Lady nodded to Jem and Luise before turning around her back turned to the scene when she heard Norma drop something. "Careful Miss Norma please don't cut yourself." She moved the lid to the crate and lifted herself up to reach down inside. Being a living doll meant she was not tall in anyway and it simply proved annoying most of the time. But mostly because it was pain in her ribs to have to hang over the edge of a wooden crate to get something that always winded up at the bottom. Not to mention it exposed her to Jean who had once picked up her legs and made her fall inside as a prank... Though to be fair she'd been the one to start that insanity by dying his hair pink while he slept. After all Lady or not that did not mean she had no sense of humor. Besides he'd deserved it for scarring her half to death after doing an idiotic high jump. He wasn't an acrobat he was a magician. Finally managing to grab the box of supplies she lifted herself out and moved the crate cover back in place before walking over to Ferela. "Hello Miss Ferela... Do you mind if I sit an look through my supplies... I believe that it would be best if Jean were to help Miss Norma..." Lady was trying to hint that she believe Norma liked her brother but due to the fact she had a hard time being expressive it probably seemed just weird. "Oh... And by the way... How are you feeling lately?"
Jean Dravvis
Jean blinked in surprise when Norma dropped her plate. "Oh hey don't worry I'll help." Immediately Jean dropped down and started to pick up pieces of the plate. He giggled and whispered to Norma "Yeah if you do cut yourself Lady will have a worry attack... I think she thinks were too clumsy sometimes..." Jean grinned thinking his own comment rather amusing. As he scooped up more pieces. "For the record I see you practicing allot and I always wanna come in and try but I feel like I would probably injure myself... Your pretty amazing at what you do and I have a feeling that with how hard you've been working your gonna rake in the biggest crowd. Just don't have any plates in your act and you should be fine right?" Jean chuckled at the idea of poor Norma dropping plates all over she could probably make it look elegant if she tried but... Not sure the circus would be happy replacing them.
Ferela watched as Norma started to pick up bits of a plate then saw Lady wobble over the edge of a crate then walk her way she smirked a little she had always liked Lady as she always seemed to care about everyone as the small girl reached the table she said "Hello Miss Ferela... Do you mind if I sit an look through my supplies... I believe that it would be best if Jean were to help Miss Norma..." Ferela nodded at her and heard her say"Oh... And by the way... How are you feeling lately?" Ferela looked at her and said "Oh...I've been alright a little lonely I guess and yes I think you are right in the matter of Jean helping Norma.." she smirked as she watched the two cleaning up plate pieces and said "And how are you lately Lady?"as she set her food down as to be polite to her company.
“The finest of pleasures are always the unexpected ones.”
Hunched over sitting at a desk Ezra scribbled furiously into a notebook, only to rip the page out, crumple it into a ball, and toss it aside like the countless other pages. The notebook had begun to run thin, rarely it seemed did he keep any pages. The room was a disaster, his items strew about the ground. The circus moved a lot but his mess followed wherever it lead him. As organized as he liked everything around his bubble to be, inside of his own compartment as well as the walls of his mind were clouded and muddled with obscure items and ideas. Papers that weren't throw away lay open holding blue prints of tents and creations to add to the living masterpiece. Others were lists and plans pinned to the fabric that made his walls. The only piece of furniture in the area was a desk set with a matching chair. It was unlikely you'd walk into Ezra's compartment without his eyes fixating on the desk.
There was no bed, and that was because Ezra rarely slept. Sleep always felt time consuming and unimportant to him, deciding that when he needed rest he would. Often he woke up in strange places where he'd escaped to rest his eyes for a moment. Although he couldn't tell himself, perhaps others would notice his twitchy and uneasiness. You could call him jumpy, or easily startled at times, and at others completely composed. To describe Ezra as 'normal' would be a lie. Most can't describe his normal with anything but abnormal.
He clenched his eyes shut, trying to force concentration into creativity. His projects always seemed to eat away at him until they were completed or another project took its place. A bubbly rage boiled inside him, he didn't like being stuck, especially in one place for too long. He stood abruptly, yelling at no one in particular. "It's wrong it's all wrong!" he roared, angrily wiping his desk clean. Books, pens, papers, and small items clattered to the ground as Ezra kicked the chair behind him aside. His room was dark, and mos times he couldn't tell the time of day unless he walked outside. He kept the windows covered with black cloth, liking his privacy as well as the darkness. He preferred candle light if anything.
Storming out of the caravan he slid the door piece aside and took a deep breath of the cool air. Sometimes it was just what he needed to relax. He stepped out and paused with only one foot touching the ground for a moment. He waited and listened, closing his eyes. His dark eyelashes parted, revealing the liquid orbs of auburn. The pupils were abnormally large, as though he were addicted to belladonna, but there was a glassy glitter about them which that drug does not produce. The sun broke through the clouds now, casting an array of oranges, pinks, and yellows into the sky. A faint blue lingered dully on the edges of the explosion of color.
To him colors were so vibrant and harsh he had to squint just to observe. His pale skin was almost transparent, sometimes his bones stuck out with his skinniness.
He was often cold, which was why he layered himself in dark colors and long sleeves, to attract the warmth he could. As a child he was often sick, and never looked very healthy to begin with. He was towering though, tall in height. Some might see him as weak, as if a small push would send him toppling over, but he had a glare that could intimidate even the bravest of men. He may be compared to a panther for his sleek, powerful lines and obvious grace. His hair a very dark brown which seemed as though it needs to be trimmed. His nose is straight and faintly aquiline, his cheekbones high, his mouth full but not over large, and his jaw on the sharper end of the spectrum.
As the ringmaster, it was indeed his job to interact with the performers as well as have them somewhat organized. He knew the first night was one of the most important, it set the stage for every night to follow. He disliked most social interaction, at least interactions that he had to force himself to complete. His father was always so friendly and talkative, at least Ezra had been told. He didn't remember what his father was like before his mother died, not that he minded. Ezra could give speeches easily, his words were intriguing and his voice was like velvet. He just lacked connection with most people.
After an hour or so, he wandered to the outsides of where the rest of the performers had begun eating breakfast. His eyes quickly fell on Lady. He studied her small smile as she spoke to her brother and the others, her jet black hair rested perfectly without a stray piece. He'd come to think of her as a young sister, and Jean as a younger brother. They'd been in his fathers circus for so long he couldn't remember them not being there. He watched them from a distance, the two of them sitting with others so casually. He felt a pang of guilt, as a protective person Ezra was a black crow, wanting to tuck those close time him under his wing. His interest in the girl originated from his father, not that he knew why exactly. His father was an odd man. Then again, so was Ezra.
Anything that interested his father, Ezra was intrigued Upon hearing Lady's name his father would stiffen, and clearly tell Ezra to make sure to be careful with her. To watch out for her. To make sure she wasn't harmed.
This always caused stress for Ezra, not knowing why his father cared so much. But it became a priority to study the girl and protect her. Secretly he'd meticulously make things safe around her. Check her room when she was out, making sure no loose screws or sharp objects lay anywhere. He cringed as Jean picked up a broken plate, messes and sharp objects made the hair on the back of his neck stand up.
Before Jean could even pick up another shard Ezra crouched before him. "Don't worry, Jean." he cooed in a hushed tone. He seemed to have appeared out of no where, considering no one had noticed him before he had spoken. "Wouldn't want to hurt yourself," he reasoned, taking a piece of the broken plate from Jean and collecting the rest of the pieces in his hands. He disposed of them, and glanced at the ground in case of any pieces he missed. A small chip lay beneath a chair, and he carefully got rid of it as well.
"Oh.. Where are my manners," he mumbled, still scanning the ground for any other pieces. He looked up at the people before him and tried to be more friendly, "Good morning Everyone" He nodded his head slightly, as if to politely bow. He let his eyes meet with everyone once before he settled on Lady. He stared at her for a moment before observing the room again.
(sorry if I didn't tag anyone also there - feel free to respond)
"No time for being embarrassed!" Norma was thinking while picking up the pieces. "I'm eighteen, not thirteen! I should just deal with it normally!"
She almost cut herself when she heard Lady saying her brother should help. She dropped the pieces when she heard him say he would help. There he was - right in front of her, being his usual cheerful self, doing amusing remarks, causing Norma to chuckle. His compliments on her skills and hard work caressed her ears. She was very flattered when he said he wanted to try what she did. Norma chuckled at the joke about how plates shouldn't be in her acts.
"Thanks, Jean... You're pretty good at magic tricks along with your sister. Magic looks hard too..." She smiled, glad that at least she could talk to him normally. Well, most of the time.
So, there they were - the two of them, under the table, picking up pieces of plate together, exchanging compliments... just the two of them..
"Ezra!" Norma went back to reality, as the son of the owner suddenly joined.
Then she realized that somehow she ended up having two guys cleaning up the mess she caused and was about to fix. Not only did she cause the trouble, but she also wasn't very useful into fixing it, as she was holding two or three pieces at most. Bothered by this, Norma slowly stood up and greeted Ztateeka.
"I should stop being something similar to a helpless damsel in distress. I won't cause any more trouble for anyone!" She thought.
Norma gasped at the sight of her hands - it seemed like she didn't follow Lady's warning - she managed to cut herself.
(( IM SORRY THIS TOOK SO LONG!!! My room sorta had a pipe explode under it and flood a spot...))
Lady Dravvis
Lady was still chatting silently with Ferela when the news of... Dare she say it a cut reached her ears. "Jean... I thought you were helping Norma with that." She saw her brother jump a little and hide behind Ezra... Of course he would. With an angry huff Lady pulled out several things from her small box. "Jean... Sit next to Miss Ferela and keep her company while I fix Norma's hands..." Lady watched with ruby eyes as he listened. "Ferela... Keeps an eye on him... He's trouble." Lady gently took Norma's hands and looked at each cut with meticulous worry. "Norma... What am I to do with you... You and Jean will kill me with worry..." A sad look filled Lady's eyes at the thought of anyone injured but there was not time. Taking a pair of tweezers Lady picked out each piece of remaining glass and set it in a pile, then she cleaned the wounds once with a wet towel the cook brought over and started to apply salve. "This salve will disinfect it." Then finally Lady wrapped up the cuts in a bandage making it tight. "Before your performance tonight you will remove those bandages apply this," she pulled out a different salve "It has pain numbing properties your performance should be fine BUT... I would prefer if someone volunteered to keep an eye on her during her performance before and after to insure she remembers to take all proper protocols... AM I CLEAR!" Lady's eyes narrowed into a deadly glare she only gave those for peoples own good... When they NEEDED to take better care of themselves or she would step in and fix the problem herself. "So... Norma... After you get a volunteer you will come tell me... I can't have you not taking care of those cuts... Just the idea of an infection." A panic look crossed Lady's face as she gently touched the bandages now covering the cuts, before it returned to it's neutral expression. "Anyway... You find a volunteer miss!"
Jean Dravvis
Jean was a little shocked with Ezra's appearance... Then again he always was. Smiling at the slightly older boy Jean allowed him to help and allowed himself to get distracted hence why Norma probably ended up with so many cuts. But before he could say anything Lady's demonically sharp ears caught in and she snapped going full: 'Jean sit down what am I going to do with you someones injured now.' mode. Jean huffed and obeyed sitting across from Ferela. "Why is it always me... I've been good... Lately." He huffed and puffed up his cheeks watching Lady work from here. She was fast and skilled and even though she often complained about worry being her death she showed a fondness for fixing people up... Something no one dared even try take away lest they end up on the end of those deathly ruby eyes and sharp snake tongue... She was sweet it was true but she was also dangerous.
When Lady finished with Norma Jean knew her attention would turn on him luckily he had a distraction. "EZRA!" Throwing himself on the thinner man Jean clung to him, "I completely forgot to say hello," Luckily it worked upon seeing Ezra Lady calmed down immediately and folded her arms. "Ezra, darling big brother please tell our air head of a sibling that he is to be more careful." DANG IT! She was gonna turn Ezra on it too the big sibling who was suppose to help him out of Lady's worry wart scolding not aid in it. "Lady! Come at least hug the man before you order such things." Jean prayed... And they were answered Lady calmed a little and moved over allowing her to be squished between the two older boys. She may have even hugged back... A little. Not that she'd admit it. When she was finally released she turned her attention elsewhere calling over Jeremy and Luise to get a check up sense they'd come back from getting cake with the bubbly Ember. Jean smiled, "One bullet dodged eh Ezra... She'd have come after you next you know darling sister do us both she's dangerous..."
Ferela was talking to Lady when she saw there turn and say something about a cut that Norma had, she watched Lady's speed with awe and when Jean sat next to her she stayed quiet not wanting to bother him she saw that Norma looked a little out of sorts and held her tongue as she knew her thoughts were not the nicest she saw Jean take a chance to escape Lady's anger by hugging Ezra she had not noticed him come in and watched Lady go to awkwardly hug him she knew Norma needed a volunteer 'Maybe...I could help..my act is a few after hers...' she thought before saying "I can help Norma...if she will have me..." she looked at Norma with her nicest smile trying to seem friendly.
Just as she thought things couldn't get any worse, she was proven wrong. She tried to defend Jean, saying it wasn't his fault, but with little to no success. She could feel her face getting pale when Lady wanted someone to look after her, like she was a helpless baby.
"Wait, no need, I'll remember to take the painkillers, I'll be carefu..." Norma suddenly stopped talking, as Ferela voluntiered to help her.
Norma realized that the tonight's act was more important than her own pride, so no matter how humiliating was this for her...
"Ferela... Thank you so much and I wish you luck..." The girl sighed. It was still morning, and she already caused trouble for so many people.
"If you need help for anything in the future, feel free to ask me..." She told her. The fact that she was younger than Norma didn't help, but again - the act was more important. She would compensate her antics tonight.
Luise took the piece of cake offered, smiling and taking a small bite in gratitude to Ember, but as soon as the silver-haired girl turned away, the fire-breather promptly dumped the cake over her shoulder and spit out the rest. She loathed sweets, they absolutely ruined her figure, something that was quite important to her and her occupation, and truthfully they didn't taste all that good. Anyone who could find artificial sugar anything but repulsive was strange to her, she couldn't fathom how Ember or Jem could joy such things. But, of course, she didn't want to upset the girl further and just went along with it.
After Ember finished feeding the cat its 'breakfast' (And, most likely, it inevitable death.), Luise wrapped an arm around the taller girl's shoulder with some difficulty, and started to pull her away from Jem and the rest, waving off Lady's concern, "So, Ember, dear, I was wondering if you could help me out with something?" Luise swirled her finger around in the air, a thin trail of flames following after it, "I know it's a bit rude to ask, but could you help me with my stretches? I've been trying to become more flexible... For the act, of course." She added the last part in a bit too quickly.
Jem, whom was handed the slice of cake and was swiftly cut away from any conversation he might have with Ember by the circus whore, was left a tad secluded. He took his cake, wrinkling his nose as Luise when he heard her flexibility comment (Maybe he should mention it to Zeke, just to harass her a bit?), before he was back at the tables, poking at the cake slice sleepily. His tiredness, now that he was no long distracted by the cake-hunt, was overwhelming, and he found himself slowly falling forward before jolting himself awake again at the last second. However, on the last time 'round, he just couldn't keep his eyes open, his head slamming forward onto the table with a hefty force, missing the cake by a hair's breath. That woke him up, if anything.
Jem groaned loudly in pain, not finding the effort to bother to pick up his head and deciding it was a great place for a nap.
"What are you talking about, Ferela?" Norma laughed nervously, forcing a smile. "It's nothing about embarrassment! You'll just be more in touch with my health and will remind me about the painkillers in case I forget."
Norma took a lock of Ferela's hair and started braiding it.
"You'll make everyone calmer if you stick around me a little more than usual." Her smile wasnt forced any more. "I'd do the same for you in case you get injured."
Again, Norma managed to get out of the self pity or self conscious phase - probably for the second or third time in the last few minutes. Her biggest motivation was a great performance - the main reason she got over her phases. Norma, like everyone else, loved performing. If you worsen the situation with something you're bad at, you can also make things better with something you're good at - this would go for everyone, this is all that mattered.
Ferela watched Norma and was happy she didn't seem too be mad at her she let out a small breathe as Norma started braiding a lock of her hair"You'll make everyone calmer if you stick around me a little more than usual." Ferela saw her smile lighten become easier as she said"I'd do the same for you in case you get injured." Ferela looked at Norma and smiled as she said "Ok and thanks again I am happy to know that!" She watched the girl braid her bit of hair "You are quite good at braiding Norma..." she said absently as the thought popped in her head she felt an urge to hug the girl but stayed still and just watched the others, while doing this she watched Luise talking to Ember as she walked her away then saw Jem fall asleep hitting the table audibly and he lay there she assumed he was asleep 'Im glad that the workers do what they do..but it is sad how little sleep they seem to get..' she thought to herself.
