Ember, who had been focusing more on the funny shapes she could make, only paid attention to things when a loud shout was heard and skirts went up. It didn't affect her mainly 'cause she always wore a body suit. They were just more comfortable~ She, being an innocent, didn't see what was wrong with the skirt thing going up.
"Did Ztateeka do something bad?" She asked no one in general, in even more confusion, Ember turned to the fire dancer. "Why is he being kicked out onto the street now?" Ember made a face as she picked up Simon. "Simon... I'm confused... Can you help me?" She asked her kitty, he meowed, but she obviously didn't understand him.
Ember walked up to Ztateeka in frustration. Why is it that the flipping up of skirts is a bad thing?" She asked bluntly.
Lady blinked as Jeremy ruffled her hair. She wasn't use to people being near her unless they needed something or was 'related' so it felt odd... But Lady let it slide she'd scolded Jeremy enough times that he earned a few brownie points enough to be considered... A friend? Smiling ever so faintly as the tired man collapsed Lady shook her head and took time only a second to admire the mans art before she closed the caravan door and turned around... She had an act to get ready for... And no time to waste.
Jean was a witness to Norma's accidental and after that he was gone. He felt embarrassed about having seen the poor girls near exposure and with his worry for Lady rising he left the large tent to look for his sister finding her wandering about the slowly dissipating fog. She was quiet as he approached but the two new what they had to do and left behind the caravans for the tent where they would practice. After all magic while it did require imagination and skill also should require a certain amount of practice after all Jean had once lost poor Lady's head in another dimension for a week and despite the fact she still functioned fine without it a wandering doll body that could not speak but acted as though it knew what was going on anyway had freaked out more then a few people...

In truth, Ztateeka had to admit, Ember's question had an obvious answer. One that did not do him any credit. His one defense - that it had been an accident - would be unlikely, he felt, to carry much weight with the assembly.
Brazening it out, he felt, would be the best response. And, he thought gratefully, the fact that Ember of all people - Ember, the least streetwise of the entire Cirque - had asked the question gave him a way, at least, to buy time. He'd answer her question literally, as if she'd been seeking an explanation rather than (as anyone else might have done) been asking rhetorically.
"I guess it is, Ember," he replied. "At least, it is if you mean to do it, and you do it without permission. Especially with, erm, ladylike girls like Ferela, and even more so if they're wearing, urm, underwear that doesn't cover much. It's - " he stopped suddenly. As if not content with humiliating the poor girl (for he saw, Ferela had been the most disconcerted of all the girls by her accidental exposure) here he was rubbing salt into the wound by going into exact detail about the exact type and cut of panties she was wearing!
"Urm, but you see, I didn't do it on purpose. I... I was trying to make some paper dance, to amuse everyone, and it went wrong." He looked across at Ferela. "And I apologize totally for that mishap." He bowed. "And you too, Norma."
He wondered if his apology would do him any good.

"Thanks for the apology..." She said. "Make sure everyone wears pants next time..."
After that problem got resolved, Ferela asked Norma if she wanted to practice.
"I've already had plenty of training, besides it won't be proper if I train now. The scratch is still fresh and deep, and I better take the painkillers when the performance is closer." Norma spoke to Ferela. "If you want to train with the animals, I'd love to watch you."
(Are we still doing this? I hope so...)
