Setting
He was walking home from work when he heard a few teenagers talking about how the circus had appeared in the woods again, it was something that had happened every so often but was something of much importance everyone who was anyone was going to be at the show tonight, everyone except Marcus. It didn't bother him too much that he never went to a show, he had much better things to do with his time then watch a bunch of misfits do juggling tricks and prance around in the dirt.
Marcus looked up just then and saw a group of girls up ahead walking towards him in the direction of the woods, he knew where they were going and shrugged and as they drew nearer he recognized one of them as being his high school crush, Amber, they had had a couple of classes together in school but never really talked but apparently she recognized him because she stopped and told her friends to go ahead so that she could talk to him.
"Hey Marcus, you know there's a circus tonight."
"Yep."
"Aren't you going to ask me if I want t-"
"Yes!" his answer was quick and immediate so much so that he had cut her off and didn't let her finish, "uh... I mean would you like to go to the circus with me?" At that moment he wanted nothing more that to go to the circus, it was the most important thing to him at that moment.
"Of coarse."
He walked with her into the woods their arms linked and when they had gotten to the impossibly huge tent he nearly gasped at the size of it. They walked in and marveled at the amazing sights of the circus, he had never really believed the stories he was told about the place and thought they were stretched truth but if anything none of the stories could compare to actually standing inside the tent of the circus which held a sign that read "Cirque du Sommiel." there were two rings of tent the outside tent which led to a small hallway like section where crowds of people were bustling in converging on one area. Thinking that he would avoid the crowd he tried moving to a more open area so that they might enter the inner tent which he assumed would be where the show was being held but was stopped by Amber who asked him if he was crazy for thinking he would enter without signing the post. At first he was confused but then he looked behind her and saw that everyone was going towards a large, dark pole that shot up from the ground, people were scrambling to write their names with small pieces of chalk before passing it on to the next person and entering the inner tent. Marcus was a gentleman and got a piece of chalk allowing Amber to write her name before he took it and scribbled his illegible signature on the post, then they both turned and entered the circus finding a seat within the enormous stands.
Ghost made her way through one of the many stripped sheets that acted as makeshift walls in the enormous and elaborate circus, the young girl was looking all around for the ring master but with all the bustling and scrambling that everyone was doing it was making it very difficult to get anywhere. Everyone heard that the circus was going to open for show time but no one knew quite when, everyone except or Ghost.
She was at this moment running to tell the ring master that they would be starting in just 5 minutes and the guest's were already starting to arrive, this kinda would heighten the state of the alarm since the current situation was that not everyone was ready for their acts. Even Ghost herself was half dressed her loose fitting clothed hung on her light rags and her fiery red hair was pulled back into a loose fitting ponytail, in one hand she held her torch sticks and in the other was a bottle of hard liquor which she was starting to coat the inside of her mouth for her act.
She wove her way through the noisy crowd though she knew that she could just walk straight through it, but she found that others didn't like it too much they thought it was disconcerting and down right creepy. Being that the less enemies she made the better they all got a long she decided to act as though she could still touch them and not just pass though them. She had just walked passed a few midget clowns when she came to a opening where no one stood and found a wooden platform to stand on, making her way up there was the easy part she could only hope that she would find the ring master in time to get everything ready.
