Appearance:
Bright red hair everyone thinks she's dyed, bluish eyes. Stands around 5'7". Usually wears a red jacket over black band-shirts, and black jeans. Sometimes wears shorts as well, but she rides her motorcycle often, so for the most part the jeans are a better idea XD

History:
Shalri's history isn't anything super extraordinary. She grew up in a small neighborhood, near the Chinese resturant she now works. Her mother and father both work, so she doesn't see them much. She's currently saving up for a small apartment of her own, so she can move out. The bike was her father's; she began sneaking it out when she was 15, before he took the hint and got her into Driver's Ed. Now the bike is hers, and she takes extremely good care of it (often having to replace parts herself because of the low ammount of money she currently has). The guitar has been with her as far back as elementary school; she was a fast learner, and loved the music she quickly learned to play. She was cleaning up after closing the resturant when she found a book. It was an old volume with a falling apart leather cover. It intrigued her. She took it home and began reading. Half of it didn't make sense for the longest time, because she was reading it like a regular book. She didn't even realize she was reciting a passage from it until 'it' happened. She was playing guitar when she began reciting, and something seemed to blast from the notes, causing her lamp's bulb to explode and cast her room into darkness. Stunned, she grabbed the book from her nightstand, and began reciting another passage, strumming the guitar as she had been earlier. Light illumintaed the roomfrom the strings, and she stared at it wide-eyed..... Shortly afterward, she took up a new job at the resturant, making deliveries. It was during a delivery she met the young man (will edit once I have his name)......

Items: Spellbook (which she knows by heart), her guitar, her motorcycle

Weapons: Using spellwork, she can turn her guitar into a battle axe; a small knife she keeps in her boot (in case she can't get to her guitar)

Skills/Abilities:Aside from her magic(which although she has mastered the spells in the book, when she tries new ones sometimes backfires), Shalri is keen in speaking with wolves, felines, and gryphons (Can understand others, but can't respond to them)(the third of which she learns most of her new spells). She can see traces of other magics as well, mostly through training, and has minor healing abilities(these take up a lot of energy, so she rarely uses them *Broken bones, cuts and scrapes, usually can only heal herself without passing out*)
