Name:Alexander Sutton, prefers Alex
Gender: Male
Age: 425 appears forever 22
Species: Vampire
Rank: King's youngest Son
Appearance: Alex stands at 5'11 and keeps his slightly longer than short, golden hair swept back for the slightly athletic tinge to any appearance. His eyes are of pale blue color and always seem to glitter with mischief. His voice has a naturally deep, warm tone and carries very well if he wants it to, it also always has an intimate feel to it- creating an illusion that he's always talking to a specific person (the listener usually assumes themselves).

Personality: Alexander rides a fine line between the "alpha male" and a child at play. At first glance, he seems to leap before he looks and everything seems to magically go his way. In truth, he's ruthlessly cunning and meticulously has every action planned out before he does it. The rest is just a show that he puts on, of course starring himself to provide the illusion of control in a stream of chaos, which is of course controlled. That being said, he is naturally calm and level headed, allowing him to seamlessly roll with any hiccup in his schemes and with his natural charisma, it more often than not only improves the act. Of course that isn't to say that there isn't the occasional backfire and mess (though he still ends up looking picture perfect in the end.)

Alex likes to handle things with an attitude of it's no big deal and things just naturally falling into place. His calm might unnerve others due to just how eerily calm he can remain during things, regardless of the stakes. He's always willing to put on a show as well, in fact he's made the night life of the city his own stage with a following of people for his own amusement. This reliability tends to cause people to flock to him, especially if problems are involved. The universal response is a playful smile and slight laugh, though if it seems fun he'll genuinely step in to take care of things. Those he doesn't help, usually end up thinking some kind of aid is lent, when in truth it's just another one of his games.

Humans bear the brunt of Alex's innate cruelty, it isn't the open form of cruelty that people would expect. It's a subtle cruelty, though he'd still break a person's arm just to hear them scream if it pleased him; the whole while he'd even have a smile of child like innocence as if nothing wrong had occurred. If anything he's more likely tilt his head generating an innocent "now why'd you do that" expression, as if the individual broke their own arm. What makes all this really annoying to most: he's handsome, he's popular and he knows it; let the narcissism speak for itself.

The thing that lets all this happen, despite is lack of attachment to virtually everything. At the same time, he's completely empathetic and is able to near perfectly sympathize with other people. This is actually the source of his dark personality and has resulted in him falling for countless women, it's not him playing around. He's genuinely in love with them, he just happens to love them in more of a "collection" sense than as an actual partner. Behind it all, he's actually painfully lonely, but never lets it show.
View towards humans: They're toys, nothing more. Furthermore if the topic is repeatedly addressed he'll get angry (it triggers his empathy).
Pro:
    Charismatic, Calm,Empathetic, Intelligent

Con:
    Narcissistic, Cruel, Troublemaker
Likes:
  • Good Argument, Games, Excitement, Women
Dislikes:
  • Losing, Boredom, Loneliness, Tarnishing his image
Strengths:
Alexander relies entirely on his intelligence and personality for his strength. Of course this requires a wealth of knowledge and observational skills that could be ridiculous in their own right, but given the time, studying and practice...anyone could do it.
Extreme Charisma: In a way, Alexander's charisma is a power in its own right, any room he's in seems like a royal palace and people seem to naturally want to serve him.
Weaknesses:
Alexander is surprisingly weak considering his lineage. That's not to say he's a weakling in all aspects, but if one were to compare his physical prowess to his brother's... the results are laughable.
Extreme Empathy: Like his charisma, Alexander's empathy could be considered supernatural, causing him to go to great lengths to avoid empathizing with people. This is because he can literally feel another person's pain, sure their joy is there as well. But he fears feeling others pain, suffering, fears etc.
History:
Alexander grew up as the child of last resort, after all he'd only assume the throne if his elder brothers somehow didn't take it first. As a result, he has yet to even meet his father, but whether or not that's a good thing is an entirely different matter. His mother was never around either, but the reason behind this is something that he's never been able to find out. As such, the closest thing he'd had to an actual parent was a servant in charge of him while he grew up. Despite the woman's best efforts, Alexander still thinks he's never experienced true parental love and affection. That doesn't mean there wasn't some form of love there, in fact he was truly the woman's "golden child" in the sense he could do no wrong. This went south on his eighth birthday, the present...her murder in his presence. This was his father's way of reminding his third son that he was still an heir. It was also from this that Alexander discovered his capacity for empathy. During the whole affair he could only watch in horror, the entire time feeling her every emotion, and every pain. This in turn reflected in her eyes since she had the capacity to read minds, and thus knew of his experience.

For a period, the trauma broke him and he wouldn't leave his room for a month. It was when he finally came out that the Alexander of today was born. His cruelty born to defeat the horror that haunted his sleep, the ego to keep others at bay. All of it tied together with an outrageous charisma and sense of fun to keep himself from feeling lonely and not having to feel unwanted or unloved. As time went on, he grew better at his act and the memories of that event slowly faded out of memory. Nevertheless, even after four hundred years, sleep brings him no rest or comfort and the warmth of someone against his flesh is a constant craving, though its meaning he doesn't understand. He has met his brothers on numerous occasions, and quickly learned his place amongst them. He finds their respective strengths admirable and would honestly love to have such abilities at his disposal. The king encouraged sibling rivalry, after all what better way to breed the best heir. It was from this, Alexander discovered his strength was his charisma, the ability to gather others to be his strength. In his opinion, the best power for one to be in charge.

He doesn't hate his father, in fact if rumors hold truth he is the most like his father out of all his siblings. Considering his father rules the world, he considers that a compliment, though he finds the man short sighted and crude on all accounts. This is due to his belief true kingship entails people wanting to serve your whim, not doing it for fear of the consequences. His current ambition is a find a way of proving he is above his siblings and his father.
Other: Prefers to feed on other vampires as opposed to humans.

Alexander groggily stirred in his bed, well he thought the bed was his. After all the room had his musk, which personally he found to be a repulsive smell while many a female told him otherwise. The smoothness of the sheets seemed to be the appropriate silks to be his and the size was also right, much bigger than was really necessary. His eyes were still closed as he groped along the bed, his body felt like it bore the weight of a mountain and was moving as if through a thick soup instead of air. Oddly enough, his bed was empty apart from himself...a miraculously rare occurrence.

With extremely exaggerated efforts, Alexander forced himself to sit up, earning a pain in his skull similar two a sword being driven through his left temple. The pain brought a bit of clarity and memories of the situation to his still empty head. At some point earlier,Cayleigh had picked him up from...somewhere, he couldn't grasp the fine details which seemed to dance just past his consciousness. He did managed to recall it somehow involved a grand-duchess and her daughters, a brief memory of several warm bodies sliding against his occurred. With that much of the previous evening recalled, he ceased to care. If anything, it followed the usual routine of him getting caught when important business went on. Which meant that either Cayleigh or someone else tracked him down and dragged him back into his room, with a cold yet polite apology to the other occupants of the area.

Well that was how he imagined it at any rate, he'd never exactly been able to witness the events himself since he was usually far from sober at those moments. A heavy yet satisfying sensation in his stomach told him he'd fed, question was which vampiress, but ultimately the matter was unimportant. It was at this point he opened his eyes at last. There was no light in his room, but for a vampire visibility was not a problem and an ostentatious but not gaudy scenery met his gaze. After all his room was decorated to show he was royalty, and the quality of some matters deliberately lessened to show he was just the third prince. From the seems along his doorway, he could tell that there was not a single lit flame in the entirety of his apartments A warm glow would have shown through if such a light had been on. There was no smell of smoke either, so the fires had gone out a while ago but there were a bunch of other smells he could faintly detect in his room...people had been in here. He didn't catch Cayleigh's, but that was no surprise. She had an uncanny ability to leave absolutely no trace of her passing through an area.

His body gave a light shiver, shaking off what covers he had, revealing his bare torso. It was beginning to get a bit cool from the lack of fire in his apartments. He also finally noticed the presence of a large cabinet, which was surprising since the thing was painfully unsuited for everything else in the room. Curious, he stepped out of bed and the cool air further confirmed his nakedness with its caresses. The cabinet had a strong scent of woman, and as he neared the soft sound of breathing could be heard. This was something new to him, perhaps it was something of a joke? At any rate, the scent wasn't that of a vampire...a new pet of some kind then. To be courteous, and not potentially startle a new animal he went to his bed stand and hastily lit a candle for some light.

"Well I didn't buy you," he addressed the cabinet and the creature inside it in whispered tones. "So some admirer must have sent you, one with poor tastes I might add. Or are you perhaps a present from the family, which makes this stranger still." His words were more for himself than anything but oddly spoken aloud all the same. He crept back to the large piece of furniture, and set the candle down at his side. Taking care to not wake the creature or put the flame out, he opened the cabinet to reveal... a human?

Crickets and the silent breeze blowing threw the trees was all that could be heard that night. It was peaceful, and the smell of the grass was soothing. Running water could be heard at a distance, away from where a young girl was crouching. In her grip was her beloved bow an arrow. Her hair was up in a ponytail, her current darkened forest green eyes scanned the area carefully from behind the brush.

Just one animal...any animal..come on...

Luana bit her bottom lip immpatiently as she tightened her grip on her arrow. She had been kneeling down her for about a full 20 minutes now and nothing was passing by. This was her lucky hunting spot too so SOMETHING should be passing by by now. She huffed and was about to stand up when something caught her eye. A deer! Score! She quickly lifted her bow, reaching behind her to grab an arrow and aimed. Steady...this is for tonights dinner. If I don't get this even i'll be pissed at myself.. She breathed in and out slowly before releasing the arrow.

SCORE!

She smirked to herself and quickly got up to go study her kill. The kids were going to love her for this! She jogged over to it, reaching up to undo her hair as she did, her hair falling around her face to frame it. She kneeled down and pulled the arrow out, throwing it to the side.

"Now..how to get you back to the village..?" She could always just carry it, yea she'd to that. She stood back and and stretched to get ready to try and lift it up, but a sudden noise in the brush made her freeze in place. "....Hello?" She called out, scanning the area. Maybe someone followed her out here? She lifted her bow just in case, but after a moment didn't hear the sound again. She sighed in relief and lowered her arm. Just as she did this she felt a knife at her neck.

"Orders from the king, you are to come with me, just be a good girl and do not fight back or else i'll just simply snap your neck." She felt the person right behind her, their breath fanning over the back of her neck. W-what? The king?.....king...king...the only king around here was...

"Vampires!" She said out loud before spinning around and kneeing the guy where the sun don't shine, before taking off towards the village. Damnit, damnit, damnit! Why me? Of course me, cause God just loves me. She thought to herself in annoyance. But her big question was....what did the king want with her?

She suddenly felt herself trip on a tree root and landed painfully on her nose. "Ow! Damnit!" She quickly pushed herself up, rubbing her nose to sooth it. Right now she was scared, horribly scared for that matter. She acted like she didn't fear vampires on a daily basis, but now that she's met another and is alone her heart felt like it was going to burst out of her chest. She was about to start running again but she felt herself being hefted over the vampires shoulder. She yelped but started yelling at him to put her down, pulling at the back of his shirt as he started running.

"Sheesh, you humans are annoying, shut up!"

"I'M annoying!? What's annoying is how you stupid leeches show up like rodents! Also your dumb attitude! Now let. Me. Go!" She said defiantly, kicking her legs, the heel of her flat going right into his nose.

"Ow! Damnit girl, quiet!" This stupid girl was lucky that he couldn't kill her..

She huffed and crossed her arms, but bit down on his shoulder...hard. The vampire growled and tightened his grip on her thigh painfully. She winced but just bit down harder. Like hell was she about to be captured for no apparent reason! She could be brought to a slave house for all she knew! She was about to continue to yell at the vampire but sudden everything went black, only being able to mutter one word.

"D-dad....."

--------------------------------

"Momma! Momma, look!"

A young child at the age of 6 ran up to her mother with a bright smile, in her hands was a lady bug. Her mother laughed and ruffled her hair affectionatly. The town was bussleing with life in the market. At the moment Little Luana was out shopping with her parents. She giggled as her father lifted her up and placed her up on his shoulder. The lady bug flew up and onto her nose, causing her to gigle again.

"Ah, my little daughter is already a fine hunter." Her father said chuckling as they walked threw the crowd. Her mother laughed and nodded, looking around the place for what she needed. Luana loved going out with them, it was always like an adventure! Everyday she'd ask them to take her where ever they went. She'd learn new things, meet new people, make new friends... She was currently giggling as the lady bug crawled down her arm into her hand. Though when she heard a commotion she looked up just in time to see a group of the towns people dragging a person with pale skin and unaturally bright eye by a chain, yelling at him and cussing.

"Momma...Daddy...what's happening?" She asked curiously, wondering why they were being so mean to that person. Her father turned away so that she couldn't see as they began to rip the creature apart, cheering. Her mother frowned and followed, glancing back only once.

"That my dear....was a vampire..."

Luana gasped as her hand flew to her chest where her heart was, sitting up panting. She's had that dream to many times, she's lost count. She frowned and reached up as she noticed she was crying in her sleep. But her neck felt sore...

Wait.

The memory of what had happened came rushing back to her as her eyes widened. She heard a voice and quickly backed up, her back against the wall. Where was she? Where had he taken her? Was she going to die? Crap, she was so screwed. She saw the person light what seemed to be a candle.

"So some admirer must have sent you, one with poor tastes I might add. Or are you perhaps a present from the family, which makes this stranger still."

She slowed down her breathing and tried to calm down. A present? What? Was she sold, already? Her eyes widened as the person opened what she was in, her green eyes staring at him for a moment in confusion before she spoke.

".....Who the hell are you?"

".....Who the hell are you?"

Alexander couldn't keep a slight frown from flashing across his face at the impertinent questioning. But he just as quickly returned to an expression of benevolence. "It is customary to give one's own name before asking another for theirs. I shall demonstrate, do make an effort to remember this from now on." His voice was gentle but clearly carried a tone of arrogant superiority, with his general demeanor supporting the effect. Despite his nakedness, he continued completely unabashed," I am Alexander Sutton, third son of King Malvern. At this moment, it would appear that you were left in my chambers for reasons unknown. If you would be so kind I would like to know the name of whom I am addressing."

Despite his counterpart only being human, he couldn't keep himself from naturally trying to find a way to seduce the woman in front of him. Then again, he was used to people virtually throwing themselves at his feet and women fawning over him with no effort on his part. As such he didn't expect to truly need to work to get this human woman to join his number of playthings. He couldn't keep his usual mischievous smile off of his face during the entire ordeal at the idea, this one could potentially make good bait for other prizes.

Once more the chilling air decided to remind himself of its presence, causing him to make an offer. "At any rate, I doubt you like the idea of being crammed into a piece of cupboard and the fires are out across my apartments. So to prevent there being any doubt to my honorable name, I offer you the warmth and comfort of my bed. After all leaving things as they are shall be an insult to us both and thus no thanks are necessary." He had virtually no experience on interacting with humans so he proceed with how he normally handled other vampires. With that he picked up the candle and stepped back, the idea of being turned down never occurring to him.

Luana just stared at him as if he just grew another head. Was this guy a moron or what? Wait..third son of king Malvern? A prince? This guy was a prince? Why the hell was she put into some cupboard in this, what seems to be, arrogant morons room? Her dark green eyes narrowed at him as he continued to speak, his voice staying the same. How dull. She mentally rolled her eyes. This guy sounded like a playboy, how ridiculous. Her eyes moved from his face to his bare chest but immediately looked away blushing. Why the hell was he naked!? Seriously, he was in front of a women how passive can this guy be! She frowned and moved to get out of the cupboard, not saying her name and just ignored him as she stood up and stretched, moving towards the door of his room.

"Uh, no thanks. Since this all seems to be a big 'ol misunderstanding I shall be on my way. I have no intention of staying in some strange and annoying leeches room." She said bluntly, not thinking of the consequences. Right now she just wanted to get back home, go back to her village. Maybe this was some messed up dream she was having. Yup, that was probably it. This guy was just a figment of her imagination. Wow, she really needed to stop sneaking chocolate before bed. She put her hand on the knob, twisting it to open the door and leave."

"And with that, I say adou to you sir."

"You can try, in which case I or someone else will simply catch you again," to add further insult to his point he blew out the candle. The room returning to its naturally pitch black state, " considering father's famous temper, it's actually safer for both of us if I insist you remain in my apartments until we know more about this situation."

He stretched as he finished his statement, adding a threat to his tone. "At this hour, you can expect the castle to be as well lit as this room," well he lied about that particular detail. "So for my own well being, as well as yours. You will stay, whether you like it or not until I know more." He took quick steps towards her since she didn't seem the submissive type.

"Now be a good girl and behave. I even was generous enough to offer you a choice to make yourself comfortable in this annoying circumstance. The least you could do is humor me until we find out our exact situation." The first sentence he openly spoke as a command, maybe humans responded better to force that coercion. The lack of a card from she stepped out eliminated any kind of admirer or something from his brothers, and he wasn't about to let his father get a free shot on him. He couldn't exactly tell why he was so bent, but that was the first thought that appeared in his mind with nearly primal fear.

"You can try, in which case I or someone else will simply catch you again,"

She frowned and turned around with her hands on her hips ready to shoot a reply back at him but went silent as he blew the candle out. "considering father's famous temper, it's actually safer for both of us if I insist you remain in my apartments until we know more about this situation. At this hour, you can expect the castle to be as well lit as this room," She backed up as she heard him take a step towards her, her back hitting the door. What? He just expected her to wait her like some sitting duck? Wait for what exactly? Her death? She was in some vampiric castle surrounded by leeches and he really just expected her to wait here? In his bed non-the-less. She thought to herself quickly as her eyes scanned the room trying to pick up where he was. She couldn't even tell if her eyes were opened or not. What was he trying to prove by doing this? The whole place couldn't possibly be as dark as this..but she wasn't about to find out. She hated the dark...it made her feel vulnerable and weak. But she had to escape some how. Her father was going to freak out once he found out she was missing and do something stupid.

"Now be a good girl and behave. I even was generous enough to offer you a choice to make yourself comfortable in this annoying circumstance. The least you could do is humor me until we find out our exact situation."

She scoffed and felt around for the door knob again ignoring his commands and threats. "I'm no dog, i'm not going to take commands from some stranger. So why should I humor you? You even said it yourself that you have no need for me, so just let me leave." She stated, finally getting her hand around the knob again.

"I'm no dog, I'm not going to take commands from some stranger. So why should I humor you? You even said it yourself that you have no need for me, so just let me leave." The girl had an excellent point, but fear has a special way of shutting out reason and feeding itself.

"A deal then," He found himself proposing, " I shall call for someone to explain this and we can have the fires and such re-lit. The situation will then be explained in no uncertain terms to the both of us and we can then renegotiate based on the situation. If it turns out that there is indeed no need for you to remain here, I'll personally see you back to wherever it is you wish to go." He really wasn't liking this situation, the more he thought of it...the more is reeked of one of his father's schemes.

"I do believe it goes without saying that a lone human will find traveling in Corazon to be dangerous. After all, your kind are slaves and fodder at worst; while the best arrangement is a prisoner and renewable source of food at best. An unmarked human is essentially free game, and short of a powerful vampire's personal seal or personal accompaniment leaving is essentially suicide." This wasn't something he wanted to deal with, for all he knew she could be the only thing keeping him alive as well. The risk of him being forced down onto her level was something he was willing to take in exchange for proper understanding at the moment.

Alexander couldn't keep the smile off his face at the woman's- Luana's new compliance. Though there seemed he may have generated a misunderstanding in his invitation to the bed. At any rate, he fumbled a bit to relight the candle as a gesture of good faith.

"See Luana (loo-ah-nah)," he replied, "that wasn't so hard now was it?" He left the candle in the bedroom before going out into the common area of his apartments, not evening opening the door to command the guards outside.

"Fetch my elder brother Julius, or Cayleigh- whichever you find first. I have questions and needs answers, also one of you get in here light the place up before it gets any colder." His tone held no room for question or doubt, for all intents and purposes it held the air of a deity passing out divine orders. With the majority of his end of the bargain taken care of, he strolled back into his bedroom.

"Won't take too long for everything to be cleared up now. See more than enough room on that bed for the two of us, said I wanted to be able to fit a dozen people on it comfortably. The craftsmen delivered this, bigger than specified and better than I expected." Despite his preference of keeping his quarters dark, he used the smaller candle to light up the larger light fixtures. The room still wouldn't exactly be well lit but it should be enough to keep Luana placated for now. Unbending his pride, he then fetched himself a robe and put it on himself with more than a small amount of irritation but doing at least this much himself was called for at this time. Rather than returning to his bed, which would be rather rude when he was asking for a guest, he went over to the desk and sat down. Sooner or later, the two of them would get their answers.

Alexander ignored the question Luana had asked to herself, guess humans had a bunch of negativity towards vampires after all.

"I'm robed now, if that's the reason you insist on looking everywhere else." His tone held a hint of boredom, if all humans were like this then they were a truly pitiful species. Well considering the situation, her being like this wasn't entirely surprising, she might liven up It was at that moment, Cayleigh entered the room, Alexander completely failed at detecting her presence earlier.

"Kindly explain what is going on, such as why Luana has been brought to my room, there should honestly be no reason for this." His tone for once lacked the bossy and arrogant edge it usually held. He was still speaking down, but cautiously, Cayleigh was one of the few people he wouldn't try to push around. At that point Cayleigh began explaining the situation: something about preserving and expanding the human population, vampires learning to value their food source, and most importantly- that his father expected each son to have one human for food. Said human was to be preserved and well cared for and noncompliance would meet death by the King's own hand.

With the explanation finished, Alexander could only sit in the chair, mouth open. Frozen and staring like an idiot, after all this was like a scenario out of a nightmare. "But I don't even feed on humans," was the only form of resistance he could pitch at the scenario.

She sighed to herself and laid back on the bed. This was just a really dumb scenario actually...Why her. She groaned and rolled over, burying her face into the silky sheets. "I'm robed now, if that's the reason you insist on looking everywhere else." Luana shrugged. "I really could care less. Thanks for telling me thought.." She might as well be nice to this guy, he wasn't trying to attack her nor was he being rude. Unlike the usual stray vampires she's had to deal with. Her mind was getting a little fuzzy at the smell of the room. Ugh... She heard someone enter the room but stayed in her position.

"Kindly explain what is going on, such as why Luana has been brought to my room, there should honestly be no reason for this." She listened in on their conversation, her eyes getting wider by the second. What...what!? They expected her to be some kind of human blood bank for this guy! She shook her head and quickly pushed herself up, and standing with her hands on her hips. Though she knew this was for the good of humanity, she couldn't just let herself accept this.

"But I don't even feed on humans..."

Luana's dark green eyes narrowed as she spoke. "So. You expect me. To just allow myself to become some kind of blood giver to this guy? No matter how nice he is, even if he's a prince, I don't care if he was the King himself, there is no way in hell i'm agreeing to this. I'm sorry Alexander, but your just going to have to find some other human." She said defiantly as she moved towards the door. Let the stupid guards catch her! She didn't care, nor was she thinking straight at the moment. She had a duty to her village.

"So. You expect me. To just allow myself to become some kind of blood giver to this guy? No matter how nice he is, even if he's a prince, I don't care if he was the King himself, there is no way in hell I'm agreeing to this. I'm sorry Alexander, but your just going to have to find some other human." The words slowly drifted to him as he sat stunned in his chair. Cayleigh had done what she came for and went to leave as well. She made no move to stop the human, after all she didn't have to. His reply came in a completely numbed voice, he had no other options now.

" With all that was explained, just now...do you really think I have the option of letting you go?" Completely defeated, he rose to his feet, "You may try to run, but know I have no choice but to catch you...my apologies." He moved after her, completely zombie like in his demeanor but his speed was something that would allow him to slowly gain on her. In this there was no pleasure, no fun only heartless and hollow action; Luana with either realize this herself, or he'd follow her at just barely faster than she was running until she grew tired. If by chance she actually began to escape, then he'd chase after her in earnest.

"With all that was explained, just now...do you really think I have the option of letting you go? You may try to run, but know I have no choice but to catch you...my apologies."

Luana looked at in complete disbelief. The guy had just told her not even an hour ago that he'd let he return home! Even though there was not a purpose for her being her...It was ridiculous! She frowned and glared at him, but continued towards the door, going right past the other girl. In truth she was just terrified at the thought of a vampire biting her. It's never happened before and she wasn't about to let it happen. She pushed the door open and looked back at him.

"Well. As I said before. It's not happening! Go ahead and have fun playing tag!" She said before she turned and ran out the door. This was a completely stupid thing to do! He's a freak'in vampire, so why am I running...? She thought to herself, as she turned a corner but stopped in her tracks. Why was she running? She knew she wouldn't be able to get out...or escape...She leaned against the wall and slid down until she was sitting. This was totally unfair....She ran a hand threw her hair and just waited there. No where to go...no where to run...no one to call.. But she wasn't going to cry, it was useless and wouldn't do anything.

"Well. As I said before. It's not happening! Go ahead and have fun playing tag!" Oddly he felt his own heart pounding as she moved, despite this being trivial exertion for him. With each step after her, his heart rate increased and a blur of emotions swarmed over him. The guards didn't even stop her at the door, he would have waved them off anyways. He foot steps plodded around the corner, and he began to feel a sensation akin to despair: defeat, indignation, and hopeless futility were definitely in the mix. He felt trapped, and alone and his eyes burned, wet droplets began to form as well.

When he saw her sitting at the wall, it hit him so this is what's going on... I'm somewhat feeling how she feels. He wasn't overly thrilled at the notion, but at the same time he wasn't repulsed by it either. "Look I get it, you're angry, alone, scared and the last thing you want to do is give me the satisfaction of knowing it. You don't want to be food, there are other things- people that you're concerned about and want to get back to." He voice came out hoarse and broken, he wasn't able to keep the tears from dripping from his eyes. He kept walking to her as he spoke until he stood over her, and took to a knee before continuing. Meanwhile he felt something stirring at the back of his head, like he should remember something but it wasn't there.

"Sadly, I do know because I grew up in this and can empathize with your situation. In all likelihood I probably understand what you're going through better than anyone else, and certainly more than you'd wish."

Turned Vampire-Rebel

Natalia stared down at her hands as she sat on the edge of the rock she had came upon on her usual midnight stroll. These hands that had done so much...caused her so much regret...She frowned and let them fall into her lap as she looked up at the sky. Why was she constantly dwelling on this..these memories that had cuased her so much remorse and pain. Her long bleach blonde hair blew back gently as a breeze came by. She inhaled a deep breath before she stood and made her way back to the village. The village...half of them despised the fact that she was allowed to live there. Calling her a monster....monster....She scowled and punched a near by tree. That word...that word was constantly floating around her. Coming off the lips of whoever she passed, whoever she came by. She let her hand drop as she turned and leaned against the tree. There was only time for revenge now...and the rebellion would help her achieve that Even if it elongated her time of servitude, she'd deal with it if only to guarantee her mission to be a success. She pushed herself off the tree and continued on her way back to the village. She crept into the entrance quietly, her bright blue eye glancing around the area for a moment. She had already fed this morning, to her disgust, but she never allowed herself to be near any human. Though it was required of her. She'd allow be near one if she had to. Most of her comrades were human too... She sighed. Luckily early in the morning there was barley anyone out..

Luana kept her gaze down even as she heard Alexander turn the corner. "Look I get it, you're angry, alone, scared and the last thing you want to do is give me the satisfaction of knowing it. You don't want to be food, there are other things- people that you're concerned about and want to get back to." She felt her tears threaten to spill over as he spoke. No, no...don't say it. She knows that! She knows....she wasn't scared...she was terrified. She quickly reached up and wiped her tears away, not wanting to look weak in front of him. Stupid, stupid, stupid... She thought to herself as more tears ran down her cheek.

"Sadly, I do know because I grew up in this and can empathize with your situation. In all likelihood I probably understand what you're going through better than anyone else, and certainly more than you'd wish." She covered her ears and shook her head. He was a vampire....he couldn't understand...but for some reason she felt like she could confide in him...what a dumb thought. She had no one she could trust now. But she looked up at him, wiping her face again.

"I....I will stay...if only to be sure my family is not harmed..and because it seems like i'm your only hope.." She muttered.

Alexander found a gentle smile forming on his face with Luana deciding she'd stay. The tears that had formed in his eyes had also stopped at some point, it would appear the Empathy had only lasted for a moment. "Then let's go back, day will bring more questions and hopefully answers. That and I find that I'd rather not share the Luana I'm seeing right now with anyone else." He fully stood up and offered his hand to her out of something like gentlemanly habit. Without a doubt, the guards outside his room and heard their conversation just now.

"So that's how he does it, I always wondered how the prince was such a ladies man." The voice was incredibly faint, probably the guards whispering about what they'd overheard. The acoustics of the corridors were quite good so it wouldn't be too surprising for a human with good ears to have picked it up. He decided to silently correct their statement.

"They...have...it...backwards," he mouthed to Luana. He had made each word as distinct as possible to make his message easier to decipher. Last thing he needed was his reputation kicking in an the moment.

"Then let's go back, day will bring more questions and hopefully answers. That and I find that I'd rather not share the Luana I'm seeing right now with anyone else."

Luana blushed but stayed quiet for a moment before taking his hand hesitantly. Why wasn't she fighting back anymore? Try breaking his hand or something...she couldn't bring herself to fight against him anymore, knowing there was nothing she could do. Once she was up she snapped out of her thoughts and back into her usual self. She snatched her hand away from his and turned, walking back towards his room. "I-I can walk perfectly fine on my own...." Se muttered in embarrassment. If she was going to stay here she was going to make everyone's lives a living hell. Though...this place was it's own hell in itself. The only thing was was completely bothering her now was that fact that she was the only one he could.....feed from. She shuddered. Without her he would quite literally starve...and die.

"So that's how he does it, I always wondered how the prince was such a ladies man."

Luanas eyes rose to the direction of the voices before looking back at Alexander with judging eyes. A ladies man, huh? What a joke, who would fall for him anyways....I mean yea sure he was.....attractive. But that face of his was for attracting pray. All vampires had some kind of beauty right? She thought to herself as she bit her bottom lip a bit before she saw him mouth out something. Have it backwards her foot. She gave him a "yea, right" look before turning again and going back into his room. She went back over to his bed and plopped down onto it, laying back.

"I'm claiming your bed for as long as I stay here." She said bluntly, rolling over so her face was in the blankets again. Though it was more of a joking manner. Why she was joking around right now. she didn't know, but she was going to be stuck with this guy for quite a bit so...

Luana was certainly good at breaking his rhythm, were women naturally like this? After all if all women were naturally like she was then he's been wrapped around more fingers than he'd bother counting. Alexander wasn't entirely sure he was comfortable with that notion, though it was undeniably interesting. He found himself following her back to his own apartments and the guards giving him a knowing look as he entered...this was going to be a pain.

Considering the state in which he'd met Luana, he figured he'd have quite the hole to dig out of if he wanted any legitimate interaction with her. That singular thought dominating his mind as she plopped down onto his bed.

"I'm claiming your bed for as long as I stay here." Her words brought him out of his musings, just before he could begin to formulate a plan too.

"Go ahead, I offered in the first place and there's plenty of room on the thing anyways. I guess this is the part where I answer any questions that you might have on my kind and we try to figure out what the hell we're gonna do?" Alexander was at a loss for words and had no real way to handle Luana, something he really wanted to fix. So he began something of an attempt at a conversation to get a feel for her, if nothing else, knowing how she ticked would put his mind at ease.

"Go ahead, I offered in the first place and there's plenty of room on the thing anyways. I guess this is the part where I answer any questions that you might have on my kind and we try to figure out what the hell we're gonna do?"

Luana shrugged and pushed herself up again, looking around the room. She took note of all the fancy and shiny things he had in here....he really liked to flaunt, huh? She stood up and went over to one his side table and looked down at the vase that was set on it. It was quite nice...nothing like anything she was used to seeing in her village..She ran her finger down it gently as she spoke. "Your kind...." She muttered to herself as her eyes studied the designs on the vase. "I do not have many questions....I know the basics...you all have dashing looks...you need blood to survive..." She said as she turned to him and crossed her arms. "But the only real question I have that you can't answer is why me? Out of every other human and every other female, why me." She said more as a rhetorical question then anything.

"But I do have questions about you..." She said in a matter of fact tone. "I mean...if we're going to be stuck together for who knows how long we might as well get to know each other..." It was true. Also it was better then having the thought of living with a complete stranger in her head.

"Like...I don't know...your uhm....five favorite things in this world?" She asked, catching herself before she accidently asked him what his favorite blood type was to be sarcastic.

"It's true, 'why you' is a question I cannot answer. After all I feed on other vampires, though I think that they targeted you since you were a woman. A way to stack the odds for father's little show of "one vampire one human" in his favor. Typically a vampire kills their first human meal but this may be an attempt around that instinct." Alexander tried to answer the question before realizing that it had been rhetorical. Looks like he managed to put his foot in his mouth there, must be that itch at the back of his mind.

"But I do have questions about you..." the matter of fact nature of her tone caused him to straighten up a bit. "I mean...if we're going to be stuck together for who knows how long we might as well get to know each other..Like...I don't know...your uhm....five favorite things in this world?." Well it was defiantly a question he hadn't expected. It was along the line of questions he was used to answering but something about the presentation caught him off guard, resulting in him having to pause before answering.

" A good argument, which I guess also requires good company," the words came out of his mouth slowly and in time as he had to remember the answer to the question. " I've never really been one to say no to a challenge either, nor for that matter a game or anything else that seems like it could be exciting." Normally he would twist the answer into sounding more eloquent but he currently lacked the capacity for that action. Thinking to continue this bout of questions he took his turn.

" Truth be told, I don't think I've seen any humans aside from the broken 'pets' occasionally seen around here." The word pet came out with a tinge of disgust, toys and pets were two different things and he found it insulted his vampire 'pets' by humans sharing the same label. At this point he looked away from her a felt his face heat up before he continued, "So I kind of don't know anything about humans." He was refusing to ask about her in particular, a toy didn't get that level of treatment. He found himself internally chastising himself about that specific detail.

"A good argument, which I guess also requires good company.. I've never really been one to say no to a challenge either, nor for that matter a game or anything else that seems like it could be exciting."

Luana raised an eyebrow and leaned against the wall next to her. "An argument? I did not think I would meet someone who actually enjoyed an argument...you're a bit..odd." She said, holding a questioning tone to it. Challenges? Games? Was he a child at heart or what? She looked down at her ground, her eyes studying the designs on the floor. She didn't want to say he was a snob...but at the same time he was pretty modest about a few things.. "I do not enjoy arguing...but it is something i'm good at." She said as she looked back up at him. She had gotten in her fair share of fights and never had she lost one. Her snarky attitude helped her along that path constantly. "And games....depends on what kind of.."

"Truth be told, I don't think I've seen any humans aside from the broken 'pets' occasionally seen around here. So I kind of don't know anything about humans."

A frown settled upon her face as her eyes narrowed a bit at te word pets. He acted as if they wanted to be such. "Don't know anything aout humans, hm? Well I apologize but I can not answer you, and what seems to be a question, if you're not being specific. Also, if you think I will sit here and allow you to call humans pets you're dead wrong. Nor will I be thought of as such." She stated, leaving no room for arguments as she pushed herself away from the wall and went towards his door. "The one thing you should know about humans though, is that they're strong willed. Now. I'm hungry, where is the food around here?" She asked as she opened the door. She was going to give him one hell of a time while she was here. And it wasn't going to be enjoyable.

"Well an argument is really only a duel of words, so in a sense it's something of a mental sport," at least that was his view on the matter. However her statement about different kinds of games puzzled him. After all a game was a game...wasn't it? He made a note to ask about that later, no need to bother with silly questions like that now. He quickly found out that his statement on humans must have struck a nerve with her response.

Also, if you think I will sit here and allow you to call humans pets you're dead wrong. Nor will I be thought of as such." Her tone was by far the strongest he'd heard so far and she left for the door before continuing."The one thing you should know about humans though, is that they're strong willed. Now. I'm hungry, where is the food around here?"

"Duly noted," he responded, best let her blow out her steam and somewhat have her way for a while. "Well food can either be brought here or we can go down to the kitchens or dining hall. At this hour, I'd advise the kitchens." He casually followed after her, after all she'd need to follow him soon enough to get to the place. "No rush, I can call out the directions for you from behind." he began thinking about calling in some favors. After all if she was going to act as one of his toys, she may as well look the part.

"We might even find one of my brothers on the way. After all, I can't be the only one who didn't see this coming."

"Well food can either be brought here or we can go down to the kitchens or dining hall. At this hour, I'd advise the kitchens. No rush, I can call out the directions for you from behind."

She ignored him and continued walking forward. If she was to memorize the place and where to go she'd figure it out herself. She looked around a bit in curiosity too, her eyes looking upon each painting on the wall. They...were quite beautiful. She could perhaps get used to being here. But not like she was saying she was planning on being here forever. Because that wasn't going to happen.

"We might even find one of my brothers on the way. After all, I can't be the only one who didn't see this coming."

He had brothers? Oh wonderful...she wondered if they were anything like him..or maybe completely different? She stopped short when they got to a large set of stairs, gazing down them. These stairs were unnecessarily decorated...she just sighed and started down them. She was smart enough not to wonder to far away from Alexander though since she was very aware of the fact of other vampires being here.
