If one were to ask about Theia McQuinn, perhaps the first thing people would say about the girl is that she is sweet. She is the friend that parents adore for her politeness, bugging her friends with questions of "why can't you be sweet like Theia?" The girl hasn't a bad word to say about another person, and on the rare instances where she does have something negative to say it is clouded with assurances that "maybe she doesn't know her that well" and other such things. It is as though she is afraid to accidentally dislike someone for the wrong reason, and thus resolves to be neutral or positive about everyone. While her ability to see beauty in everything, the girl is an eternal optimist, is admirable in some regards, there are certainly times where it can go to far. Theia has had a history of forgiving people too much, and not knowing where to draw the line when friendships and relationships become unhealthy. She always tells herself that she is the one at fault when things go wrong, or that it was an isolated occurrence.

This blind trust has, in at least one instance, left her with bruises. If you tell her that you have changed, she will believe you despite all evidence the contrary, like a small child who believes what they are told. On a lighter note, this naivete has also allowed her to make friends in surprising places, for she tries not to judge people by their appearance, or even by their first impression. She has found beautiful places hidden by thorns, secret areas caught only by her keen eyes. Still, if only her naivete did not have her being used as a walking mat for those who are less than careful about how they treat others. It isn't always entirely their fault, either. The girl does well in school and wants to help others, and perhaps offers more than she actually has to give. Who are they to not accept?

So she may find herself running around doing things to help others, having spread herself so thin that she doesn't manage to finish her own assignments. Incidents like these are ones that she resolves to cut back on every year, but she still finds herself too quick to offer up her time where she really has none. The young woman is intelligent enough, but her grades would likely be better if she would focus more on her own studies rather than channeling most of her energy into other people. But self focus is not one of Theia's strong suit. Others are reflective in a positive way, but Theia seems to lack a good portion of necessary self awareness. She does not realize that she isn't feeling well until she cannot stand up in the morning, does not realize any her own feelings until they have grown, and, as mentioned, tends to forget to prioritize her own work before helping others. In day to day, this is seen simply in her always deflecting attention away from herself. She can be quite shy about personal matters, actually.
