"I don't know what you're talking about. I just borrow stuff for life, ze. You can have them back when I'm dead~"

a character in “Clash Of The Gamers”, as played by Asher MstrImmortalis

Description

Marisa Kirisame

Personal Information

Image
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Birthdate: September 1
Sexuality: Heterosexual (possibly bisexual, though whether she jokes about that or not is unknown)
Race: Human-Magician
Nationality: Japanese
Video Game: Project Shrine Maiden
Theme Song: Love-Colored Master Spark

Written Description:
A young teenage girl with blonde hair on her head and a hexagonal object in her hand. Her face usually shows a smile, but if you know her, Marisa's smile usually means she's up to no good. Marisa wears a black maid's outfit with a witch's hat. Marisa also wears a pair of black boots.
When she's flying around, the first thing you notice is the broom, which, in her perspective, is only brought with her as a way to enhance her witch-like appearance.

Weapons, Equipment, and Abilities:
Broom: A broom magically enhanced so it's hard to break. It doesn't make Marisa fly, though it supposedly enhances her appearance as a witch.
Hakkero: An octagonal object that could fit in the palm of anyone's hand. If you see it for the first time, you would severely under-estimate this weapon. Ask a few fairies and youkai; they'd tell you how much of a shoop they got on their whoop. (Don't get the reference? IMMA FIRIN MAH LAZAH.)
Spellcards: Various moves that Marisa can use in a danmaku battle. The most famous spellcard- as well as her spellcard of choice- is the "Love Sign: Master Spark." Using a spellcard allows you to create many bullets that fly in various patterns.
Love Sign: Master Spark: This really needs its own section. As ZUN had said before- Concentrate your mind... Mutter the spell to the Mini-Elemental-Reactor tenderly... Aim at someone you don't like... AND UNLEASH YOUR ANNIHILATION OF LOVE!

Personality

Marisa is one of the funniest people to watch. She's out going, she's destructive (all her spells focus on firepower), and she usually steals stuff from many people. This can lead to confrontations with other residents, though they would not be resolved. Ask Alice Margatroid or Patchouli Knowledge- she's a repeat offender to them.
Marisa is friendly and kind-hearted. Though, she has her moments of frustration, especially when it comes to how she isn't stronger than Reimu despite training herself. Marisa is also curious at moments, leading to new discoveries and such. In fact, her "research" is all about picking mushrooms and mixing them to see what kind of reactions they'd do.
Oh, and expect the word "ze" to be added at the end of random sentences.

Background

Image
Marisa Kirisame was born in Gensokyo, a land full of magic and mysterious things... things that she can "borrow." She was born as a human, but Marisa had trained to become a magician- though not to the extent of becoming a youkai. Marisa originally was a student of Mima, until a certain incident happened in which she quit and lived in the Forest of Magic. She befriends the current Hakurei Shrine Maiden, Reimu, as well as certain other youkai.
Alongside Reimu, she also tries to solve incidents that occur in Gensokyo, like the Scarlet Mist incident.

"Have fun~" A woman in purple with blonde hair winked as she pushed another girl out of a portal. No, "portal" in the literal sense. She didn't open a door and pushed the girl out of a random house. She opened a portal at two different places, a hidden land and this strange place. The portal itself was dark, and from the outside you can see a countless number of eyes just staring at you. The portal was also held together by two red ribbons.

"H-Hey!!!!" Another woman flew right out of the said portal and landed sitting down against a wall. She was dressed all in black and white- a maid's outfit along with an apron, completed with a matching witch's hat. A broom also flew right out of the portal, it's side slamming onto the blonde's head. "Ow! What the hell, Yukari?" Marisa Kirisame asked angrily the Border Youkai. Of course, the typical behavior for the Youkai Borders and Gaps was to go back into the portal and leave her victim to go and deal with the problem she sent them in.

"Gr....." Marisa growled at this, and just before the portal closed, the Ordinary Magician reached into her personage to throw one of her custom-made bombs. Of course, the portal closed- only to reopen. As the bomb went through the portal, it reappeared at Marisa's face. Yukari could be heard laughing from the portal that just appeared in front of Marisa just before it closed.

The resulting explosion sent the magician out of the alleyway and onto the streets. Surely, the loud sound drew the attention of some Metroids, creatures that Yukari briefly told Marisa about before throwing the magician into this strange land. Marisa sat up, grabbing the conveniently placed broom near her. Then, the magician sighed as she sat on the broom and began to fly in the darkness of the night.

It wasn't long before screaming caught her attention, however. Marisa sighed and rolled her eyes. Another day, another incident, ze. Marisa thought.

A scream from street-level caught the sniper's attention. He looked down where he heard the noise from through his scope. There was a metroid chasing a woman down the street. Another easy target. These stupid buggers were easy to pick off by themselves. His only worry was if he ran into a large group of them or had to fight one up close. He aimed a little bit ahead of the metroid and waited for it to run into his cross-hair. Once it did, he fired. It was another addition to the several metroid corpses littered in front of the building.

He walked up to the edge of the building and doffed his hat in greeting before shouting down to her. "'Ello, miss! We're just having a chat up here if you'd care to join us." There was no chance in hell he was going down on the street while it seemed that it was still dangerous. "Might want to come up before any more 'a those buggers arrive."

Something moved in the upper corner of his eye. It appeared to be a woman riding on a broomstick. He had seen a warlock before, so it wasn't anything too out of the ordinary for him. Maybe the witch could make his enemies heads bigger like the warlock did. He looked through his scope at her and confirmed what he thought he saw before waving and shouting at her like he had with Spyro. "And g'day to you too, miss! You're welcome to join us as well."

The witch on the broom looked down below her. A girl was being chased by some kind of creature- what the witch assumed to be a Metroid- before turning around and confronting it. Of course, Marisa responded by moving closer to see what's going on. Within a few seconds, however, the Metroid simply dropped dead. "Huh." Marisa giggled at the sight. No, it wasn't because it dropped dead- okay, yes it partially was, but not like what Yuka would laugh at. "If only incidents were to be solved just like that. Just let the big, bad boss drop dead on the spot, ze."

"'Ello, miss! We're just having a chat up here if you'd care to join us. Might want to come up before any more 'a those buggers arrive."" A voice called below to the lone figure in the street. Marisa shifted her gaze to one of the buildings near the street to see some weird dude holding a large... whatever it was. And don't get her started with the large creature right next to him. The man seemed to also be aware of Marisa's presence as well, as the man addressed her next. "And g'day to you too, miss! You're welcome to join us as well." The man had an accent. The witch couldn't place a finger on it, but he did have a strange accent on him.

Seeing that the large creature didn't try to attack the man, nor did it attack her, Marisa smiled and called out. "Good evening!" Marisa called out. "Just wait a few moments; I'll be right there, ze!" Sighing, Marisa tilted her broom downwards as she descended to the street below.

"Hey girly!" The Ordinary Magician called out. "You need a lift?" There was a smirk on her face a few seconds after, mainly because she saw a Metroid (Sorry Mundy, but this is on your blindside) that saw her as well. She brought her hand back in preparation to fire a few bullets. It's gonna start seeing stars, one way or another~

Rorona suddenly heard a shot fired. Again she screamed at the sudden noise, "AAHH!" She twirled around looking for where they shot came from and saw that the creature that was chasing her was dead. She then heard a voice, "'Ello, miss! We're just having a chat up here if you'd care to join us." She looked up to a see a man in the fourth floor window of a building. She smiled and waved at him.

Next, a witch on a broom stick appeared. "Hey girly! You need a lift?" the young witch asked her. "Oh.. that woul..." Rorona's reply was interrupted when the witched fired bullets at something out of her view. "Huh?" Rorona looked confused turned around to see another monster. "ACK!" She screamed, but this time she was ready. She pulled a bomb out of basket, readying herself to throw it at the creature if it gets closer.

Marisa thrust her hand out, firing off a wave of star-shaped projectiles. The Metroid was obviously damaged from the attack, but it wasn't out. "Heh... you're a stronger one, ain't ya?" Marisa smirked as she got out an octagonal device from her attire. She brought it back, charging energy into it. After a few minutes, she finished charging it before aiming the device at the alien creature. "Narrow Spark!" A light blue laser shot out of it, narrowly missing the girl near Marisa as it traveled through the air and hit the creature square on the head.

Unfortunately for it, it didn't even stand a chance against the attack, and was found dead on its back as the laser dispersed. "Heh... You guys ain't so tough if you can't handle that, ze." Marisa chuckled as she put the mini-hakkero away. "Alright, let's go, little girl." Marisa said to the girl.

Without even a word of warning, the Ordinary Magician went out to grab the girl's arm as the broom ascended to the building with the man and the strange, large creature.

The sniper backed up from the edge of the building a bit to let the two on the broom land. They were getting together quite the crew, if they chose to stay together. It almost reminded him of his old crew, although this one was a bit more strange if that was even possible. He doffed his hat towards the two incase they hadn't seen the greeting the first time.

"'Ello, I'm the sniper," he said, not bothering to say his real name the second time since he liked it less. He gestured towards Spyro before speaking again. "And that's Spyro. He's ah...Well you can see what he is. I won't say any more incase you want to introduce yourself, mate. You two mind introducing yourselves and tellin' me why it is you're out here at such a dangerous time? Oh, also I'd like to know if any of you know where the nearest payphone is."

Soon after, the witch and the girl arrived at the rooftop. The girl got off the broom, but Marisa stayed on the flying broom herself. Of course, the sniper was already ready to introduce himself, in a very friendly manner. "'Ello, I'm the sniper," "The Sniper" said. He wore brown slacks, a red buttoned- up T-shirt under a brown vest, and a brown hat. He then pointed to the large purple creature behind him.

Spyro... can be categorized as a lizard, a very, very, large lizard with horns. Though, the Ordinary Magician didn't understand the Sniper when he said "Well, you can' see what he is." She was also confused at the term "payphone." The creature didn't speak, though it showed somewhat of a smile. The girl took the next turn in introductions. "Greetings! Mr. Sniper, sir," she said to Mundy before turning to Spyro. "You are a dragon! Dragon are suppose to be the most dangerous creatures of all where I came from. But since you haven't eaten anyone, I guess you are a good dragon. As for me. I am the world famous alchemist Rororina Fryxell, or Rorona for short. The Japanese Goverment called me here to investigate the Metroid infestation and to create a device to repel the creatures. I came here to find out what I can about the critters. Now, if it's a phone you desire I believe I have a working phone in my temporary Workshop, just a ways out of town."

Marisa smiled. Well, there could be worse people I could be stuck with. She thought. Might as well warm up to this friendly bunch. "My name's Kirisame Marisa- though you can call me Marisa. I'm just your average-day Ordinary Magician." Marisa smiled, taking pride in her own title. "Though, I must say.... what's a... 'payphone?'" Marisa asked in honest curiosity. She had never heard about one before.

Of course, just before anyone could react, yet another person- one who Marisa didn't notice while airborne, came out from a corner. "Hello." She greeted, calmly. The girl walked from her hiding place, though she was still quite far away. The air around the said girl made Marisa's hair stand, but only for a second because she was caught by surprise. "Uh... Hi." Marisa smiled, though in a somewhat awkward expression that carried some of her friendliness. "Who're you, ze?"

I looked at the girl who looked to me like a witch, but she was nicer than all the witch's I've heard of in the stories, but stories aren't always true and looks can be deceiving. "I'm Alice, Alice Liddell." I replied. To her I probably looked scary not that I cared, but between a sloppily and choppy cut black hair and old tore up dress, I didn't look pretty. Not the best first impression, but it's better than most that I've had in the past. I looked at the dragon. I had never seen a dragon before. He was kind of like a jabberwocky, but he was not ugly, creepy, or evil. The size was the same and they both had wings though. I shook the thought out. I don't need to think about that right now. Especially since that was all a hallucination. The dragon still just reminded me of that though. I ignored the thought.

The woman introduced herself as an alchemist and the girl introduced herself as, unsurprisingly, a witch. Their names were Rorona and Marisa respectively. He was about to respond to them when a voice called out and a figure stepped out from the shadows. He had been camped out in that building for hours and he hadn't seen or heard anyone and at first that only meant one thing to him: spy. He moved towards the woman and shouted out "Spy 'round here!" while drawing his machete, but stopped dead in his tracks when he noticed that it was a woman and not a spy as he had thought.

He laughed a little and put his machete back. "I'm so sorry, mate. It's a force 'a habit." It did seem a little off that the woman had seemingly come out of nowhere, though. It reminded him of the spy and made her seem less trustworthy. "But what in the bloody hell were you doing sneaking around like that?"

Spyro listened to everyone introduce themselves. He the girl was a magician and the other a witch. Then, another woman stepped out. Where had she come from? When Marisa asked what a payphone was, Spyro looked at Rorona, "Yeah, what is a payphone?" He asked.

He felt his wings and legs were starting to get sore, so, he readjusted. When he moved, the building creaked from underneath him. He unfolded his wings and stretched them, causing a slight draft. He stretched and then moved down the building so it was easier to see in. They were an odd much. A sniper, magician and a witch, and now, another person who had introduced herself as Alice.

Booker was just wandering around, when he stumbled upon a group of people, and.. a dragon? Well, that's certainly not the weirdest thing I've seen. He thought to himself. Booker walked over to the group of people and introduced himself.
"Uh, hello, I'm Booker DeWitt." He said. Looking around at the others present.

(Sorry! >< I didn't know how to put Booker into all of this. ono I apoligize for how short it is. D:)

The sniper crossed his arms and looked at the new woman. He still had his doubts since he was camped up there for a long time, but as far as he knew she wasn't lying. After that, he turned to Spyro and Marisa to answer what a payphone was. It wasn't too surprising that they didn't know. They didn't look like they were from any place he had ever been to. "A payphone's a device you can use to communicate with people far away. I'm go using it to check up on me mum and dad." He had asked a local earlier where a payphone was and the idiot kept blabbering on about a "sell phone". He had told the man: "Mate, I don't want to buy a phone. I wouldn't have anywhere to install it out here!".

He was startled by another new arrival. After having to watch his back for mercenaries constantly trying to sneak up on him, he had grown very alert and jumpy. He snapped his head towards the new arrival and calmed down when the man seemed friendly enough. The man introduced himself as Booker. The sniper doffed his hat at the man and smiled, but did no more. He was starting to get tired of introductions and so far he had always been the first person to speak. He decided to wait for someone else to go this time.

(That's fine that you couldn't think of anything, but there are a few things you could do. For example: you could have Booker kill a metroid to show off his fighting style or interact with something in a way that shows his personality for people like me who haven't played Bioshock.)

(Ah, thanks. :3)

After introuducing himself, Booker spun around, hearing a metroid approaching he activated his Bucking Bronco vigor. His left hand then became cracked, like the baked desert floor. He pointed his hand at the beast and caused it to turn upside-down and abruptly float upwards quite high in the air. After the effects wore off the metroid slammed into the ground, now stuck on it's back. Booker switched to another vigor called Charge. Using this, he took out his Skyhook and started charging it up, swirling winds surrounding him and the rapidly spinning Skyhook. After realising it, he sped very fast towards the metroid his Skyhook lodging itself quite deep in it's stomach, injuring it severly. Booker yanked it out and jumped off of it, pulling out a pistol and shooting the creature in the head, finishing it off.

Booker sighed, remembering the gruesome acts he performed at the Battle of Wounded Knee. And Anna.. Giving her up to that damned man and Comstock... No. He did not let his thoughts wander any farther and did not let his regret well up any more. Booker pushed it back and walked back over to the others.

The man who had pointed the knife at me had crossed his arms. I guessed he was angry at me. I was a bit rude, but he did point a weapon at me. Maybe I should've just stayed hiding, I thought. No, never mind. It was very uncomfortable. My legs still felt tingly from going numb. Then, another person walked in. I turned and looked at the man. I did a slight wave, but talking wasn't my thing. I guess it probably should be since I spent most of my life in a nut house having to talk about my past, not that it helped at all. I mean I still have issues, flash backs, hallucinations, and sometimes blackouts. Proof that I am most likely unfixable. I chewed the inside of my cheek. I went to look out the window. The streets were so empty. It was kind of sad. The streets back home used to be covers with people. Sure those people were prostitutes, jerks, and hawkers. I turned around hearing a Metroid and saw the guy who just came in, I believe he said his name was Booker, kill the Metroid. He did this weird thing with his hand. It was kind of creepy and gross, but I've seen a lot grosser.

Well... this is turning into a party! Marisa thought as the events began to unfold before her. Now all we need is that little drunk Oni... then it's a festival! She smirked at the thought, almost brought to the point of laughing.

The newcomer introduced herself as "Alice Liddel." She had a pale expression on her skin and eyes, which, again, creeped out Marisa a bit. The Sniper acted weirdly, and practically threatened her life with his... very large knife... before shouting out something about a spy. He then apologized, asking her what she was doing. Meanwhile, the girl, who introduced herself as Rororina, began to play a quick game of 20 questions. If Marisa was to be honest for the first time, it would be saying that watching Alice answer all those questions was quite entertaining.

Then the lizard spoke. Yes, it freaking spoke perfect English (OOC: I... forgot to mention that Marisa had her Japanese accent on her, since her native language is Japanese.), and asked what a payphone was as well.

"A payphone's a device you can use to communicate with people far away. I'm go using it to check up on me mum and dad." The Sniper answered as he turned to the lizard and magician. Suddenly, yet another newcomer arrived at the scene, introducing himself as Brooker. His luck must have been horrible, because a Metroid showed up behind him and tried to attack... only to get lifted up by some kind of force in the process, which Marisa could tell that it was Brooker's doing, and proceeded to drop, get stabbed, and get shot. Marisa whistled- she couldn't help really. She had seen quite a few ways to die in her life, and she's only a teenager. Get slashed by a sword, get stabbed, get shot, get clawed at my a vampire, get a knife in your head, or just drop and die because a ghost willed it. Marisa narrowly managed to get out of those situations alive- repeatedly. That kill, however, is a new one.

Marisa smirked. "Name's Marisa. Nice to meet you, ze." She waved to the newer newcomer.

(*Booker not Brooker xD)

Booker put up his hand in a slight wave at the people saying hello. Thoughts of Anna and the alternate worlds he had discovered with Elizabeth were still etched in his mind and he just couldn't get them out. It was all a whirlwind of mixed up things and confusion. Even to this day Booker still regretted his former decisions.

At least I have Anna back.. He thought. In the past, his wife died giving birth to Anna, and Booker was torn over the things he had done at the Battle of Wounded Knee. With those stresses he soon fell into drinking and gambling, eventually ending up as a Pinkerton Agent. Booker was discharged later but still owed a debt.

One day he met a man who offered Booker a deal on behalf of Father Comstock. Comstock offered to wipe Booker's debt away.. In exchange for Anna. Booker handed her over reluctantly but immediatly regretted his decision. Booker pursued Comstock and found him, the man, and Anna in an alleyway standing before a mysterious portal with a woman inside. As Comstock stepped through the portal Booker tried to wrestle Anna from his grasp. Comstock was able to shake Booker off, and the portal closed as Anna was reaching out towards Booker, severing her pinkie in the process. (Anna was just a baby by the way.)

Filled with regret Booker fell further into alcholism and gambling. He ended up branding hid right hand with Anna's inintials "AD" as a reminder of his faliure. That hand later got stabbed and is presently wrapped with bandages.

Nearly twenty years later, Booker re-encounters the mysterious man, who offers him an opportunity to get Anna back; he must simply step through the portal that appears in his office. Traveling through the portal leaves Booker dazed and confused (a side-effect of traveling between realities) and he begins creating new, different memories from the old. Memories of losing his daughter turn into new ones about a job, wherein he is to enter the floating city of Columbia and retrieve a girl named Elizabeth. With the demand, "Bring us the girl, and wipe away the debt," still in his mind from twenty years ago, Booker remembers this phrase as the job description, rather than the deal he already made with Comstock.

Instead of bringing Elizabeth to him they try to get to Paris but the floating city of Columbia is in turmoil and in the end (Spoilers approaching! :O)
Elizabeth ends up drowning him, erasing the worlds with Comstock and her. For Comstock IS Booker and Elizabeth IS Anna in alternate dimensions. Ending up with only Booker and Anna.

A metroid had snuck up on Booker, but the man skillfully took the mongrel down. Booker seemed pretty deadly and the sniper took a mental note to keep an eye on the man. He was starting to get anxious. Even though his parents didn't like his job they cared about him and he cared about them. At one point, his employer was able to track down his parents to send him a message. They didn't hurt them, but he had realized after that that he would have to keep a better eye on them if something that actually wanted to hurt them found them. He didn't want his nervousness to show, though. He kept his cool, relaxed attitude and looked at Rorina.

"Right, then. Let's go get to that phone," he said while motioning for Rorina to lead the way.
