Oddity:
Quincy has insomnia. He doesn't really mention this to anyone and it's hard to tell by the way he acts most of the time throughout the day, but when it comes time to sleep, his mind never shuts up enough to let him do it. Sometimes, he'll try to rest at least by laying in bed with his eyes closed until it's time to get up again, but most of the time doing that just gets on his nerves and makes him jittery, so he'll try distracting himself. Maybe he'll try messing around on the computer or go on a walk. Sometimes he might even spontaneously call one of his friends up in the middle of the night just to bug them until they get annoyed enough to hang up on him. That usually makes him laugh. When he does get sleep, they're in short-lived increments of just a handful of hours at a time.
"Insomnia? Never heard of it. Sounds like a type of bird."

Not to brag, but Quincy is quite possibly one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. His sense of humor can sometimes be a little off, a little dark, but he'd never have an issue adjusting it for the sake of those listening. He knows how to act in the right situations, and while he doesn't really like being serious, he can be if the moment calls for it, although he'll still try his best to lighten to mood if he thinks he can, too. He can be sensitive to the moods of others, especially those who are close to him, and can't really relax if he thinks any of them are in a bad mood, or down in the dumps. He'll constantly feel the urge to cheer them up, or at least try to take their mind off of it, even if there's nothing he can really do to help them overall. He'll even go out of his way to make others happy, even if he's not feeling it himself. He'd rather have those around him happier than himself.
That isn't to say he isn't usually happy, though. Quincy isn't a gloomy guy at all. In fact, he's the bright and cheery type and always has something optimistic to say, even if things appear to be completely at a loss. He could major in brightening the mood. Sometimes, his optimism may seem a little misplaced or completely delusional, but he has such a way with it that sometimes people can't help but almost believe him, just for the sake of it. It seems almost impossible to ruin his good mood. It's almost as if he has his heads stuck up in the clouds, in some childish world where sunshine never runs out and nightmares are just temporary things. To others, his optimism can get a little tired. It seems like he doesn't have a care in the world, and others may envy his totally relaxed, no-fight, just-love, almost hippy-like attitude. But that's not it at all. Quincy is very aware of the bad things in the world. He just likes making the best out of bad situations. Is that so wrong?
Okay, so he's not all that relaxed, he's not that easy-going. He may be that way sometimes, where he'd rather just go with the flow with a cool little smile on his face, but sometimes he gets this rush to get things done. Sometimes he wants to go out and do things, especially when he gets an idea or if it's part of something he passionate about. He can go from calm and casual to energetic and eccentric in a moment's notice. It's not hard to convince him into something. If he thinks you're all for it, then he's all for it, even if it's just him and the other person. He likes to match the enthusiasm of others and being a "downer" just isn't his thing.
He's an extrovert. He loves people. He loves pleasing people. And he loves making them as happy as he can. Really, his biggest downsides are just that he can be a little annoying sometimes, maybe a little too hyper, or a little too happy about life; and, while he usually doesn't get enough sleep as it is, if he's gone too long without it, he can get a little out of character, a little moody, a little cranky, but if he realizes it, he'll apologize and say he never meant to hurt anyone's feelings. He would much rather go out of his way, or even out of his comfort zone, to make someone else happy, even if it made him miserable to do it--but that's hard to do anyway. He's pretty much down with doing anything everyone else wants to do.

Talents:
♪Singing. Quincy doesn't play an instrument or anything to go along with it, and he'd never want to do anything serious with his talent, but he's really not bad at singing. Surprisingly, he's a little shy about singing around people when he knows they're paying attention, but sometimes he likes to sing to himself when he's bored or when the room's too quiet or when he's focusing on something, whether there's others around or not. When he sings, his voice is soft and careful, but still nice to listen to.
♪Video recording. He's always had a distinct interest in filming and one of his bigger dreams is to become a well-know horror film director, but he doesn't have much confidence in that (although nobody would never know it by the way he tends to spazz out about it). He's almost constantly recording things, including his friends, even when nothing special is happening. It's kind of annoying, but he's been known to get some pretty freaky stuff on film.

Bio:
Quincy has been poor his whole life. He's never been able to splurge on electronic gaming systems or buy that extra candy bar for a snack. He's gone plenty of nights without dinner and even more without a bed to sleep on. He and his mother have always lived paycheck to paycheck, barely scraping by, for as long as he can remember. His father left them when he was too young to even remember the man very well, and the details on why he ever left at all are still sketchy to him to this day, but Quincy understands that his mother doesn't like talking about it, so he's always tried not to bring it up to avoid upsetting her.
Unfortunately, Quincy realized from a young age that he had more inspiration for the supernatural and for things that aren't really that important in the real world than he did for book work. He never seemed cut out for the office life, or some boring job, and especially nothing demanding like construction, but it wasn't like they could afford to have him do anything different, especially not what he was really passionate about, which was filming. Who did he think he was, thinking he could make a living doing silly things like investigating the supernatural? His mother always told him that those things were ridiculous and would never get him anywhere in life and that he was wasting both his time and her's. It's always made him feel guilty to do anything about it, but an interest is something he simply can't ignore.
As soon as he was old enough, he got a job to help support himself and his mother. He saved up all he could and helped his mother where she needed it, and when he was finally able to, he bought himself a nice little video camera. He never mentioned it to her, but he loved that thing more than he loved anything else. One day, he came home from school to find the video recorder missing and nearly had a heart attack. He almost tore the entire house apart looking for it and, in the end, he ended up asking his mother if she'd seen it, where she admitted that she'd seen it while cleaning his room and pawned it. She told him it was selfish of him to splurge on things like that instead of helping to keep the house together, and she told him it was a stupid dream anyway because people with bad luck like them didn't get to have big dreams like that, that becoming a cool horror film director just wasn't in his future, and it never would be, and that she had done him a favor by getting rid of the distractions.
He was heart-broken, but he didn't get mad at her for it. Besides, he still had his friends, right? Later on, he bought himself a cheap video camera from a pawn shop, a lot different than the one he had before, and a lot crappier. It's literally duck-taped together, but he takes it with him everywhere, hiding it in his bookbag to make sure his mother doesn't find it and get rid of it. It might be a piece of crap, but he loves it all the same.
"It's okay. I'm happy with my life. I mean, it could be worse, right?"
Other:
Although he works two jobs, he still doesn't seem to get very many hours, so he's plenty able to spend a lot of his free time at the club, especially to make his mother think he's actually at work instead. His cruddy, beat up video camera is his baby. He would be devastated if something ever happened to it and he carries it with him everywhere, video taping a good majority of every day just for the fun of it.
"I love the club!"
Family:
Mother - Dahra Reed
Alive
Dahra is a very nice woman in the long run. She cares deeply for her son and Quincy respects her very much for all she's been to. He's never once spoken up against her or cursed or gotten angry at her for anything she's said or done, and while she's punished him before, she's never raised her voice at him. However, despite seeming like the kind, caring, motherly type, she's actually very much different in her personal life than she is with others, especially when it comes to Quincy. Whatever it was that drove off her husband shortly after giving birth planted seeds of bitterness in otherwise kind-hearted nature; it caused her to act very judgmental towards her son, being very analytical about his life and attempting to push him forcibly into having a better life than she's had, while also diminishing his dreams. Nonetheless, she only wants to best for her son, and Quincy loves her regardless of how she acts towards him.
