Most people know Anna as her normally bright and warm self. She always has this welcoming aura about her, a sort of elder sister vibe. You either love her or love to hate her. While she's not this extremely bouncy and energetic girl - which she probably would have been had she had a normal childhood - she is not one to walk around without a smile. She has both an infectious laugh and smile and just seems to radiate a sense of calm.
Annabeth is a very confident woman. She is sure of herself and her abilities and just seems to ooze sensuality and sex appeal. It is no secret that she has used her looks and charm to her advantage during various missions if needed. And she's very open about that. Anna does not discriminate when it comes to her choices in lovers and she isn't shy about what she wants. She's told the other assassin's plenty of times and probably has slept with at least three or four operatives working with Cloud. She is a woman who loves sex and does not feel ashamed by it despite society's aversion to women embracing their sexuality and bodies.
However, Anna can appear somewhat guarded. While she is considered to be an open person and one you could easily talk to about your problems, she does not share very intimate details with other people, especially concerning her more serious relationships or even her life before Cloud. Anna knows how easily deceptive people can be; it's the same tactic she uses on missions. She knows that not everyone is your ally and damn sure not your friend. Therefore, while she can easily appear as though she favors you or even cares about you, she could be keeping you at a very far distance and you would not be aware of it. How She Came To Be

If you traced Annabeth's lineage (or if she even existed in the eyes of the government), you would probably find yourself looking as far back as Queen Victoria's court as two of Annabeth's ancestors were knights and her great-great-great-great grandmother was a lady-in-waiting. They owned a lot of land in Northumberland, but Anna's mother, Abby, moved them to a secluded but stylish home in the county of Ashington. No one ever discussed Anna's father. The rumors she heard around Cloud is that he was an agent of theirs that went rogue.
Anna doesn't say much about her home. She would tell people how her mother had rows of white roses and how she'd pluck a few for Anna and sprinkle them all around her as she danced. If anyone were to ask her, Anna had a pretty decent childhood - or at least, the part of it she did have was nice. Despite her mother's constant romantic difficulties, she had been good mother. However, tragedy struck when placed a dirty bomb at the bank that her mother was visiting. There are still some suspicious activity surrounding that entire event, but Anna didn't have much time to question it. For some reason, her grandparents wanted to move her to America, but when they arrived and Anna went to the restroom, she found herself being escorted out of the airport by people who were clearly not he grandparents.
To this day, she still does not know what happened to them.
Again, if one were to ask, Anna wouldn't say that her childhood was horrible. But, at the same time, she wouldn't say it was good either. She was trained and conditioned to become a killer - point blank. The majority of those days were painful; after a particularly bad day at sparring which resulted in her learning to ignore pain and having a scar on her back, Anna was ready to run away.She was given incentives on some of the days that she did good and when it came to archery, she performed exceptionally well. Anything dealing with long-distance attacks - though her hand-to-hand combat is decent too - is her specialty.
She didn't have the childhood that she would have wanted, but in some weird and twisted kind of way, she appreciates the one she did have. Granted, she could have done a lot of other things and no, she does not agree with everything that Cloud does. However, at the end of the day, Anna doubts that she would have become the strong woman she is today had she not gone through all that she had.
