The date was August 10 in the year 2010 of the imerial calender. The Holy Britannian Empire had just declared war upon Japan. The far east Island nation had held fast to it's neutrality and now Britannian looms as the world's only superpower. Rights to Japan's underground resources became a hotly disputed issue, straining the already deep-rooted diplomatic tensions between the two sides. In the deciding battle between the main lands Brittanian forces intoduced into combat the humanoid autonomous armored knight known as the Knightmare frame. The enemies forces were far greater than anticipated and the knightmares obliterated the Japanese line of defenses with little effort. Japan became a dominion of the Empire. The country was stripped ofit's freedom, it's rights, and it's name. Area 11 the defeated and once proud nation of Japan was rechristened with a mere number.

A promise made by one young boy has been what intially sparked the great rebellion. Years after that very promise was made the young boy that made that promise decided to finally taken action after having a supernatural power called geass bestowed upon him. Due to this power he was able to successfully go through with the Black Rebellion with the resistence group named the Black Knights along with help liberate Japan only for he himself to die in the end by choice at the hands of his best friend after becoming emperor of the Britannian Empire. A year after that once again Britannia has taken over Japan once again claiming it Area 11 only now Britannia is frightened by the possibility of another rebellion so they're more precuatious and even more violent to Elevens and anyone that dares go up against them. Elevens are even more harshly discriminated against. Aristocracy has once returned to the Britannian Empire but they still recognize just how much of a changed Lelouch had on the world.

Now many rumors have begun circulating. Things like Lelouch hadn't actually died that day or that another royal has surfaced. In the past year the new Zero had faced his own demise and C.C did as well by the hands of someone else. Only one rumor has many searching which is the rumor of a new royal. Supposedly many believe the other royal to be female but she is considered an illegitmate child because her mother was Charles' mistress. She like her deceased half-brother, Lelouch, hated her father and was actually glad to hear of his demise but now that her older half-brother Schneizel has taken over she finds herself having a similar hatred for him like with her father. Only she is unable to do much about it. On top of it all the E.U has begun making it's way into Area 11 for unknown reasons along with the fact that the members of the Black Knights have all either been imprisioned waiting execution, already dead, or are missing. So now on a seemingly rather day what if the the exiled illegitmate princess was gifted the power of Geass by a strange boy?

The Holy Britannian Empire:(神聖ブリタニア帝国 Shinsei Buritania Teikoku, also refered to as the Britannian Empire or just Britannia) is a nation born from the defeated remnants of the British Empire and is the world's dominant military superpower that ruled over one-third of the world and one of the large Empire-unions that control Earth initially in the early 21st Century, the others being the Chinese Federation, the European Union, and later United Federation of Nations.

The Britannian Imperial Family: The Holy Empire of Britannia is ruled by the Britannian Imperial Family (皇室, Kōshitsu), with its members holding the highest positions within its government and military. The Imperial Family are descended from Sir Ricardo von Britannia, the designated heir and lover of Queen Elizabeth III. Each of member of the Britannian Imperial Family is ranked by both birth order and inheritence. As an example of birth order, Clovis is the Third Prince while Lelouch is the Eleventh Prince, making them Charles' third born and eleventh born sons. The numbering of the Imperial princes and princesses is separated by gender; for example, Euphemia is the Third Princess and Clovis is Third Prince. The order of succession appears to be male-preference primogeniture, though the number of children and precise inheritence is difficult to determine.

The Black Knights: (黒の騎士団, Kuronokishidan) are a group of vigilante rebels who fight against the Holy Britannian Empire. Founded by Zero, they define themselves as the "allies of justice", and differentiate themselves from other terrorists groups such as the Japan Liberation Front, who take hostages and kill civilians, though this may simply be a tactic to increase public support and recruitment. Most members are former Japanese, many of whom have defected from other insurgent groups, though many other peoples, even Britannians may be found among their ranks. Their logo is a Geass Sigil with a sword through it, the same logo used in the spinoff Nightmare of Nunnally, by the Geass Order. After the ratification of the Union States Charter, the Black Knights became the military force of the United Federation of Nations.

Geass: (ギアス, Giasu) is a supernatural ability which certain people can bestow upon others. The Geass manifests differently in each individual, possibly related to their inner desires and personality. The power of Geass increases with use, and should the user lack the willpower, they may be consumed by it. Many call Geass the Power of Kings. People who have Geass are not immune to the Geass effects of others. The Geass is represented by a glowing, bird-shaped symbol. Every Geass, while powerful, has its own unique set of restrictions, limitations, or idiosyncrasies. These factors allow a Geass to be defeated, or its power limited, by someone who is aware of its characteristics. All Geass abilities that have appeared within the canon of the series have been related to the mind, influencing such things as will, thought, memory and perception. All Geass, regardless of user, appear in only one eye in the initial stages. Eventually, assuming the user lives long enough, the Geass will eventually begin to grow until it shows on both eyes, seemingly as a result of repeated use, or pushing the Geass to exceed its own limits. However, overuse and/or mental instability can lead to an affliction known as "runaway Geass" that causes the user to become unable to control their Geass, making it become permanently active. Once the Geass evolves to two eyes, the person who gave the Geass can grant the user his or her 'Code', thus removing the Geass and making the user an Immortal and immune to all Geass, and the person who gave them the Geass usually dies after granting a person his or her 'Code'.

Knights of the Round: (ナイトオブラウンズ, Nait ō bu Raunzu) or formerly known as the 12 Horsemen is a unit of twelve elite soldiers in the Holy Empire of Britannia, each being assigned into the group by royalty and under direct command of the Emperor. The Knights of the Round extends to at least the 18th century, with the first Knight of One being Sir Richard Hector. Named after the Arthurian Knights of the Round Table, they operate outside the standard Britannian military and are given special privileges and authority.

Knightmare Frame: (ナイトメアフレーム, Naitomea Furēmu) are humanoid war machines developed by the Holy Britannian Empire. Unveiled during the invasion of Japan, Knightmare Frames are almost exclusively used in place, and sometimes on par with the practically obsolete main battle tanks. The name "Knightmare Frame" is a play on the word nightmare and a knight's mare. There also exists a derivative type of war machine based on the Knightmare Frames called Knight Giga Fortress.
