Description:
Charlie is a bit on the gangly, lanky side and is coming to terms with his clumsiness. His legs are thin and long as are his arms and hands which he tends to wrap around himself when he’s nervous. Charlie has often been compared to an owl with large round eyes and a perpetual expression of surprise. Blessed with quite pale skin his red hair stands out like a flame atop his head although he keeps it and the rest of his appearance quite tidy. The young apprentice prefers clothing that’s durable and classic, things that will never go out of style. Blazers, button downs and slacks make up the majority of his wardrobe and he’s never owned a pair of jeans in his life.
{Curious, Clumsy, Sweet, Ambitious, Quick}
Charlie is quite affable and sweet for the most part. Most would meet him and doubt his ability to harm a fly. He has an innate need to make sure others are comfortable and taken care of, even strangers and does his best to put people at ease. Clever and ambitious, he usually puts his studies first at the expense of his personal life, figuring there will be time enough for that later although he grows increasingly lonely.
A bit on the clumsy side you wouldn’t want to leave your glass valuables In his care, although he could probably magic them back together if he tried. The only time that he feels as if his feet are tied firmly to the ground is when he’s performing a transfiguration or brewing potions, his specialty.

History:
Charles Stone was born the first and only son of Gregor Stone, a Warden of the Council based in Britain. Gregor was nearly a century old before he met and fell in love with the only woman who’d ever caught his fancy, Gemma. She was quite a bit younger, but smart and powerful in her own right. By all accounts theirs seemed a match based on genuine affection and respect. The couple was quite happy, even though their respective careers often called for them to be apart.
It was after ten years of marriage that Gregor brought up the idea of children; he’d always wanted a child. Someone to teach, someone to pass down their name and their traditions. Gemma wasn’t quite as set on the idea, she was afraid that her work would suffer and that she’d be tied down while Gregor would be able to come and go as he pleased. It was after much cajoling and bargaining that Gregor finally broke down her resistance and two quickly found themselves expecting.
After a fairly difficult pregnancy and birth Charles Lane Stone was born at the stroke of midnight on New Year’s Day. The moment he took his first breathe was the moment his mother took her last. Due to unforeseen complications Gemma didn’t even live to see the face of her child. Gregor, overwrought with guilt over feeling as if he forced her to have a child, took it out on his only son. Charles grew up in fear and awe of his father who rarely made an appearance in his child’s life. Choosing to leave Charlie in the care of nurses, and eventually sending him away to America to be properly apprenticed to a senior wizard. Charles had hoped in vain that once he was old enough to really practice magic that his father would finally take him under his wing. He was wrong.
Charlie has been in the states for over a decade, learning everything he can as quickly as he can so as to finally earn some recognition from his father.
