Remedie sighed, and crossed her fingers while they drove for Cebla's, whispering prayers to any god she could think of. When they actually got into the parking lot she pursed her lips, and pulled the pick axe out of her jeans. She nodded hearing Naomi's instructions, and was out of the truck before it even stopped fully. She ran forward, throwing her arm back before deeply thrashing the axe into the first zombies brain. Jumping over it's limp body she went for another zombie, this one had seen her, however. Remedie raised her pick axe again, but when she went to swing down the Zombie had reached up and grabbed it. Remedie's eyes went wide as she then had to use the axe as something to push against, as the zombie attempted to get closer to her. It made this weird hissing noise at the back of it's throat, a well as a mixture of strange clicks. It chomped it's unlipped teeth as Rem's legs started to bow from the weight.
Narrowing her eyes she suddenly let the zombie fall, but she had moved to the side when it fell. Spinning on her heels she smashed her converse down onto the mans skull. It took a few good stomps, but finally the body stopped twitching. She wrinkled her nose, feeling the blood starting to seep into her shoe as she shook off the brains and hair. The last zombie that came towards her had a limp, as if the bodies previous owner had been injured right before she died. Remedie tried to roll the man over to get the pick axe back, but the woman was too close, and she had no time. The female zombie grabbed onto her jacket, and bit down on her shoulder. Remedie's heart stopped as she quickly ripped away from the zombies jaws. She tripped and stumbled over the second dead zombie, falling on her butt. Her eyes were wide as she watched the zombie spit out a large chunk of mangled leather jacket. "F-Fuck," Remedie cussed, still not believing the fact that she just got bit.
Tears brimmed her eyes, but she refused to get up right away. Eyes narrowing once again she kicked the dead body in front of her at the shuffling female. It went right in her pathway, causing her to stumble and fall on her face. Remedie got up quickly, rolled the shocked zombie over, and started to bash her face in with an unprotected fist. Jaw clenching at the pain, she didn't stop punching with her full force until the woman stopped moving, and Rem could see her brains. Breathing hard she flinched when Naomi came over. Cradling her throbbing hand she gave Naomi a fake smile, and nodded, swallowing the lump in her throat down. She let her roommate go first as she looked at her shoulder. There was no blood?
Remedie gave her shoulder a confused look as she quickly pulled the ruined jacket off. Then pulling down her the neck of her T-Shirt so she could see her shoulder she saw there was no blood, no puncture, only a small little indent. Remedie let out a relieved, yet shocked chuckle. "Fuckin' A," She whispered under her breath. She was subconsciously following Naomi, and it took her a while to fully process that she wasn't hurt, so by the time she was actually paying attention to the things she was grabbing, Naomi had already gotten a bunch of tents, backpacks, and was now stripping down. Remedie blinked, seeing her roommate pulling her shirt off. "Wh-Wha?" She started before realizing what was going on. "Oh!.... Okay." She quickly turned around, face on fire. Pushing back her embarrassment she wiped her bloody hand on her already ruined jeans. She inspected it while keeping an eye out. It was bruised pretty badly, but other than that there was nothing that indicated she was hurt.
Rem turned around when she heard Naomi was finished. She nodded and started to pick out her clothing. Grabbing herself some sports bras, she set one aside for herself, as well as a camo zip-up hoody, thick working jeans, a button up flannel shirt, and some black leather steel toed boots. On the side of the boot in a red tag it said "Waterproof". She smiled, glanced at Naomi, and then timidly stripped down The first thing she put on in a hurry was the sports bra, then put the tank top she was wearing earlier on, and then the flannel shirt. It all fit rather nicely, and the jeans weren't as baggy as she thought. They were actually pretty slim. Feeling content with her choice of clothing she grabbed some extra clothing, as well as winter stuff, and stuffed it into the duffle's that were assigned to her.
Once they got to the knife section Remedie went crazy. She had a personal addiction to knives. Grabbing one pack, it was a large collection of throwing knives. There were about 10 packs in each kit, so she grabbed all of the packs (about 12 packs were there). She had extremely good aim with throwing knives. Using Naomi's knife she got all of them out, and poured them all into the back pack that Naomi had given her. She also found a scythe, it looked like something you reaped wheat with. "This is intimidating," Remedie giggled a bit, opening that package up and looping the sheath through her belt. Once that was all secure she grabbed a few more hand sized knives, and put them in her back pack as well. "We reached the mother load," She mumbled, more to herself than anything.
Also grabbing an axe she put that in a duffle bag before following Naomi to the bows. She smiled seeing how good of a shot she was, as well as her excitement at getting the bow. When they got to the guns Remedie's lips pursed. She knew absolutely nothing about guns, other than how to shoot them, really. Her dad had always bothered her to learn everything about a gun but she was too busy to care. Grabbing a large silver pistol she looked at it. The type of gun looked familiar. "What the heck?" She mumbled, the name of the gun finally coming to her. "They have a Dessert Eagle?!" She instantly pocketed the gun, as well as a silencer, and then loaded up all the ammo that was next to it. "Should we get a shot gun?" Rem asked as she jumped over the counter and picked up one of the guns. She racked back the gun, and smiled at the sound. "We need a shot gun," She answered her question, grabbing all the ammo that was there as well.
Her shoulders were starting to hurt due to the weight of the duffle bags. She nodded listening to Naomi's plan, and hopped over the counter. "Sounds perfect... Maybe there'll be a abandoned farm house or something, somewhere we can sleep. I'm not too keen on sleeping in at tent," Rem informed. She trotted out of the store, looking around at the quiet parking lot. Quickly going over to the two zombie bodies that were on top of one another she moved them so she could roll the male corpse over. Grabbing the pick axe she went to the bed of the truck, through her duffle bags in there, as well as put the axe back in its bag after cleaning the blood off with the corpses shirt. Getting back into the truck she put her back pack down at her feet. "Just like the movies," She said with a grin when Naomi came into the truck. She leaned back and sighed, trying to ignore the small pang of guilt that attacked her heart. She took another deep breath, swallowing hard as she pushed the annoying emotion away. 'It's kill or be killed,' Remedie reminded herself. She was finally starting to believe it, too.
