Remedie didn't really turn around to see what everyone was talking about in the back of the truck. She just kept her eyes forward, and her hand rested on her knee, where a hidden knife was tucked into her boot, making it so if anyone tried to attack her she could easily reach down and grab it. When they stopped and Naomi brought the truck out Remedie was already fumbling off her seat belt, excitement bubbling up into her stomach knowing she got to ride in the truck she had come to love.
When Naomi asked her if she was riding with her, she eagerly nodded her head. "We'll follow you, I assume," Remedie said back to Foster, who was watching her slid out of the truck like a giddy 5 year old at Disney World. She looked back at him, and he nodded. "Yeah. We'll be driving a few miles and then we'll be able to get to the complex," Foster said. Remedie shut the door, and looked back to see the girl who was talking with Naomi earlier, Madison, still standing there. She looked pissed off, scared, and confused. Remedie raised an eyebrow at her when their eyes met, but Maddie quickly looked away.
Brushing off the weird encounter she hurriedly jumped into the passenger seat of the red truck, happily greeting Bear, who's tail was wagging fiercely, and he was whimpering with excitement. He gave her kisses, and sniffed at her sides, but she just laughed it off and started to roughly pet his head. There was the sound of the large moving trucks door being slid closed, and then Foster started the engine of the truck. He started to drive, and soon Naomi followed.
It was about two minutes into the car ride before Remedie said anything, knowing that Naomi was probably cross with her. "You're mad at me for telling them about the truck, aren't you?..." She quietly asked, looking down at her hands. She could feel Naomi's scolding glance. "I don't trust them either, but I didn't know how else we were going to get Bear and the truck back," She bit her lip, waiting for a scolding from Naomi. Today didn't seam to be her day, really.
