Requiem Lethera: Victim # 1

Requiem walked slowly over to her couch, her hips going side to side in a natural but elegant walk, holding a mug of tea in her right hand as her laptop sat open on the end of the couch. Her fireplace roared and crackled with orange and red flames, making the apartment she stayed in nice and warm as fall was closing in outside and the nights were getting colder and colder. She sat down, sipping from the mug slowly before setting it down on the counter beside the couch.

She was working on a new book; called "Dancing with Demons." and she was at chapter 6 so far, where Laura and Jenera were fighting in the back alley behind the coffee shop, and blood was spilling. She let her fingers move fast, and her eyes started at the screen as the words kept going and going along the screen. Her mind was getting into it.

Jenera slashed her long nails across Laura's side, and with a shriek, Laura fell on a knees from the blood spilling onto the ground. Jenera walked over slowly, wiping off blood from her cheek as sweat dripped down her chocolate brown skin and she was breathing heavily. Laura could only fall over onto the ground, her own heavy breathing becoming slower and slower as blood leaked across the dirty floor of the alley.

"How stupid could you get, Laura? You stood up to me... and now.... you're going to wish you hadn't." Jenera said, taking out a long silver knife from between her two breasts. Of course it cut the sides but Jenera could hardly feel the pain over the joy of being able to finally take this young blonde's life. She was annoying; irritating... she had been getting in the way all these weeks and now she would die. Jenera leaned down beside Laura, slowly raising the long silver knife above her head...

A sound made Requiem's fingers stop typing. She slowly looked around her apartment; the kitchen light was on but everything else was off so he couldn't see near the bedroom and bathroom. She had heard something that sounded like hands brushing against the wall and footsteps making the floor creak, which made shivers run up her spine.

She slowly got off the couch, saving her word document but keeping her laptop open. She looked around the apartment twice... her eyes scanning slowly for any movement throughout her space... but she didn't see anyone. No one could have gotten in... she had locked the doors and windows...

After a minute of standing there, she decided it was nothing. She reached down, taking a drink from her tea and holding her hands around the handle of the mug.

But then; a hand came over her chest and she was jerked back as she choked on her tea, it draining from her mouth as she dropped her mug and another hand came over her mouth. They were strong arms, and she struggled and jerked around violently, her face going back and forth a she screamed into the hand, trying to bite it.

She thrushed her feet into the air, making the body stumble back as she broke free. But she tripped over her table and crashed into the glass coffe surface, a shattering sound hitting her ears as she felt a stabbing pain in her arm and shoulder. She screamed from the pain, writhing and moving around as she tried to get up but hands pulled her up. She was getting weaker; and could feel warm blood all over her right arm.

She kept moving around, trying to yank herself free. But then she felt a sharp pain in her neck; which was a needle jabbing into her pain artery. She jerked and struggled for a few more minutes, but then... she felt drowsy. She slowly slumped into the arms that held her restrained, and then her eyes slowly closed as she felt the arms picking her up and clasping her against a chest... and then everything faded.

All that was left was a computer running, a fire going, and a broken mug with tea spilled all over the new white carpet.

Silence.

----------------------------------------------------------------

Requiem's eyes flashed open. She could see the dim refection of a dark ceiling above her, and she blinked a few times before she could feel she was laying on a small bed with soft sheets and a plush pillow under her head. She felt her head pounding as she slowly lifted herself up, a hand on the right side of her forehead as she looked around slowly, her vision blurry at first... but then it started to come clear.

She was in a small cell type room; with a night stand beside her, a small lamp giving off a faint light that dimply lit the dark room. The floor was hard but clean, and she looked down at her body. She was not wearing her clothes she had on the night she had been writing her story... her baggy black and red pajama pants, a tang-top that was gray with a white vampire bat on it... that was it.

She looked down at her arm... it was bandaged all the way up to her elbow, and it was tight... she had injured herself. Faint visions of crashing into her glass coffee table played through her mind. She then realized; she wasn't wearing the bra she had on was not on her. She was wearing a pair of black shorts and a white tang top; and her breasts were more exposed... someone had removed her clothing? She slowly got up, and she saw a set of clothes on a chair.

She walked over slowly; and it was the clothes she had been wearing. She put on her black bra; and realized they had been washed. She adjusted the pants and tang-top, and put on a pair of white socks that had been added to the collection of clothes... where was she? She walked over to the large metal door that had a small window, and as she gazed out, she only saw a dark hallway and saw the flickering look of another metal door...

She realized.... she had been abducted. Her heart started to pound extremely hard, her adrenaline sipking as she began to hyperventilate....

What was going to happen to her?

Sebastian Matthews; Victim 2

Sebastian was in a blind fury. Damn his brother. For a moment, Seb wished that he could blind his little brother. That would show the stupid boy not to rearrange things like that so Sebastian got hopelessly lost in his own home. As the blind teen swung his leg over his open window ledge he touched the scar on his forehead. It had come from his brother as well. He sighed heavily and swung his other leg over the sill so he was sitting with his legs dangling in empty air. Then he pushed off, free-falling the couple feet into the bushes below. He felt a terror in his belly like he always did when he fell, but he knew that he'd always land safely. He landed silently, like a cat descending from a tree to catch it's unwary prey. Now he was free for the night to wander to his hearts content.

Sebastian was not afraid of the dark, his whole world was made up of inky blackness. He loved the night, when everyone else could see as little as he could. Seb took to strolling down the street, pale spidery fingers trailing along the fences and caressing mailboxes as he walked his familiar path. He was a wraith in the night, confident no one could see him. He was in control, and he could do it on his own. no need for his crooning, pout-y mother, his high expectations father, or his better-than-thou brother. It was just him and the night in intimate harmony, like strings in a piano thrumming together, creating chords of life.

Sebastian's fingers flexed. He was working on learning a new song, one by an obscure composer, but truly one of the most beautiful he'd ever heard. He just couldn't get the same sounds to come out of his piano. he needed more feeling, he needed a feeling he didn't have. He needed the feeling one gets when seeing the world for the first time, gazing across a rolling sea at a glorious sunset, observing a wide stretch of patchwork land from the top of a mountain, feelings that were out of his grasp forever.

Sebastian frowned slightly. No thinking of such thoughts while he was being embraced by the velvet night. He should think pleased thoughts as he breathed fresh untainted air. He turned a corner, then felt the hairs on the back of his neck stand up eerily. He felt like someone was watching him. His pace spend up almost unintentionally and he could feel his palms becoming sweaty.

A sudden snap of a twig made Seb yelp quietly and freeze. He clapped a hand over his own mouth, holding his breath. He waited for a moment, then two, and there was no more sound. It must have been his imagination. Being alone can play tricks on the mind, he reasoned as he continued walking. But still the feeling persisted, and Seb's pace sped up. He followed his usual path, which wound through the town and at some points dipped into the forest, at a swift walk, almost a run.

When he was nearly back to his house, Sebastian's foot caught on a trash can that had been left out in the middle of the sidewalk all night. he fell hard to the ground, his palms slapping the cement and they broke his fall. He rolled over onto his back, trying to get his breath back when he heard footsteps. Fear swelled in his body. He tried to scramble away, but his escape was blocked by a fence. he was trapped, blind against the wall. A hand grabbed his collar, lifting Sebastian up into the air. He opened his mouth to scream, but the hand shook him hard, sending him into a daze. He struggled against the hand feebly, trying to kick at whoever had him. Every single blow missed.

After fighting until he was too exhausted to make another move, Sebastian was lowered to the ground. He felt a sharp pain in his wrist, and gathered up the last of his energy to flee. He used the fence to pull himself up and took a few wobbly steps towards home. He could get there. Who ever owned the hand was making to move to stop him. He need not scream. He...need....not.....

Sebastian tumbled to the ground, unconscious. His last coherent thought was, Damn you, brother.

-

Sebastian awoke, groggy and annoyed. he had been dreaming the most pleasant dream. He had learned to play the song he so struggled with, and he played it more beautifully that anyone had every even dreamed to be possible. Apart from Sebastian, that is. As he dragged himself back into full consciousness he realized that he wasn't in his own bed, and he was lacking a shirt. He sat up and threw the covers off himself, dragging his sore body out of the small bed. It was much smaller than his, but yet strangely more comfortable.

Seb stretched his sore muscles and stood, feeling out where he was. It was a small is room, with a door that had bars in it. He also found his own clothes, or at least, what felt to be his own clothes, jeans and a t-shirt, but he decided to leave on the shorts he was wearing at the moment. They were much more comfortable. His mother would kill him if she found out he wasn't wearing a shirt in a strange place. Who ever had abducted him wasn't all that bad, Seb though vaguely. Apart form the throbbing headache he felt fine. At least he wouldn't have to deal with his brother for a little while. He was confident that his mother would kick up such a big fuss he'd be found in a few days. At least he'd have a bit of peace until that happened.

Sebastian walked back to the door and pressed his face against the bars. he wondered if he was alone, or if there were others. Well, only one was to find out. "Hello? Anyone home?" He called out softly through the bars, his voice echoing slightly.

A. Mathew was in the main room, preparing things; already he could barely hear the muffled voices of the victims from the other rooms. "He sure did get a truck load; especially some attractive ones." He said, leaning on the wall, spinning the broom he was suppose to be using to clean the floor. He leaned forward for a bit before dropping the broom and walking forwards towards where the slim white laptop is; it was a newer version he had not only picked out himself, but got it for free after sleeping with the store owner's daughter. She was a sweet girl but had brains like mash potatoes and would follow A. Mathew around like a puppy dog; don't get him wrong, he enjoyed her company when he needed her, but hanging around him tend to bare a price.

His fingers tapped onto the top of the closed laptop before he made a low growl. "Ah damn, why do I have to clean? He should know better than to make me do this stuff!" He ruffled his hair before looking around. "So the piano has some dust on it, he can clean it himself if it was that important; besides... I want to know what other punishments he can inflict on me~." His voice just sounded a bit too happy for a normal person; but hey, he never did say he was exactly normal. "Im going to check on the 'guest.'" He said, walking towards the door that led to the downstairs area where they are kept; he opened the door with that cheeky smile of his. "I shall be back." He hummed to the room filled with no life.

He walked down the dark hall way before stopping at a door that needed a code to get in; they where probably in the most hidden part of the mansion, even if someone did break in, they would never leave here alive. He entered the code and walked in, to where another flight of stairs; which led to a hallway with a metal door and there, entered him into the area where they kept their 'guests'. As he opened that metal door, he glared into the darkness. "Damn, why does he make it so dark in here?" He whispered calmly. He turned towards his right and placed his hand onto the wall; his fingers glided across the wall and hooked onto the light switch before flicking it on. The lights gleamed across the hallway where they held the 'guests'; he barely peered into the windows before finding only two of them awake. He gave that innocent and gentle smile he uses to swoon others off their feet. "Are you guys alright?" He said gently.

He leaned against the back wall where he was visible to both of the two people who where awake. "Im really sorry this happened to you, but I promise that I will make sure that he won't hurt you." Lies, all lies, but hey, he loved acting. "Oh, but you probably won't believe me... will you?" He quivered a little, biting his bottom lip like a small lost child. "Listen, I am truly sorry for this... if I could stop him, I would." He looked at their doors and at the boy who had peered his head out of the bars. "I am Mathew." He gave out his innocent smile again, this time, he put a bit of misery into it, so it looked as if he wanted out himself. "Is it alright if I ask yours?" His voice as well, sounded like a lost child, yet, it had a cruel tint to it if listened close enough to.

Dmitri Venis, was at the moment very much asleep. His hand was balled into a fist, his chin directly on top of it while he sat silently in the long dark armchair in the middle of the main room of his home. Dark black curtains managed to shield the sun's harsh rays from entering the house and the handsome twenty three year olds dark eyes. His jaw was shut down so tightly that if one listened closely enough they would be able to hear the faint sound of grinding between his teeth. No dreams went on during the mans time napping, because he had everything he could possibly want now. What was left to dream of when the whole world was simply yours for the taking?

After a few moments the long legged man would gently open his eyes and direct a small frown over towards where Mathew was working so "diligently" if not loudly." Even if I'm asleep I can still hear you grumbling." Dmitri would seem to purr towards his most helpful and loyal assistant. Shooting one more look over towards him, Dmitri would flex his fingers on the two armrests and then jump up, clapping his hands together in an excited manner. His darlings should have been waking up from their naps right about now as well. The tall and boyish looking man would grin sheepishly at the thought, and would turn his head to stare at Mathew as he moved to check on them. He did know how much his helper enjoyed teasing, and he usuallly allowed him to do it because it amused him as well.

Dmitri would tilt his head to the side and glance around the room to check everything once more before he summoned his guests to the main room along with him. He would walk quietly over towards where the large ebony Grand Piano was and gently pressed a few keys. A few light noises that made him suspect it was in working condition came out and he moved on to glance over at the easel and the laptop Mathew had been complaining about minutes ago. Both looked perfect, though he wouldn't exactly know until they were in his newest family members hands. The laptop of course had no internet connection, and he had shut down every phone in the house but his cellphone.

After giving everything one more quick check, he would walk rather cheerfully towards the speakerphone he had installed in the main room and the cells and would clear his throat right before speaking into it."Rise and shine my darlings." His voice would coo at them with such mocking that he was sure they would already become annoyed with him. " I'm unlocking your doors now, so please....come join me in the day room. We have much talking to do." And with that he would move away from the microphone and would gently press the small red button near his desk, opening the doors to his guest's cells.
"Come into my parlor said the spider to the fly.." He would mumble, chuckling slightly under his breath as he moved to sit back down on his large black leather armchair once more.

Requiem Lethera: Victim # 1

Requiem had leaned against the wall, swallowing thickly as she pressed herself against the hard wall surface and rested her cheek against it. Her heart was pounding hard, and her hair fell in her face as she was trying to get herself under control. She heard someone speak, calling out hello... it was a male's voice. She instantly sprinted to the metal door, grabbing the bars and looking out the small window as she looked around. She saw a boy sticking his head out across from her, her eyes growing wide.

She was about to speak before she saw another male walk over. He had dark hair, and she saw a glint in his eyes as he began to speak.

She had listened to his words, but she didn't dare speak... she just listened, her ears perked up in sharp pursuit as she stared at both of them... who was he? Why was he out of a cell? Did he work with... this other guy? She didn't hear any other sounds. She wasn't going to give her his name.... hopefully his attention would remain on the boy.

She jumped, letting out a small scream at the noise of a male's voice coming from behind her... but she looked up at the speaker in her room. It was coming from the ceiling, and she was hyperventilating from the scare it had given her. She saw her door slowly opened, and she could only lean her back against the wall as she closed her eyes, trying to get her chest to stop going up and down so hard.

She knew if she didn't follow the directions from the speaker, she's probably be dragged out... she should go with the flow for now, see what was going on. She looked down at her bandaged arm before her bare feet slowly walked across the hard floor and she made her way out of the cell, looking around. She saw a hallway that wasn't extremely long, and dim ceiling lights lit the way. She looked over at the male who had been standing outside, and she slowly slid past him, keeping herself against the wall as she walked down. She had tried to be as quiet as she could since he was standing closer to the other boy's cell.

As she made her way down the hallway, she looked around, trying to memorize any doors or exits she saw. She slowly made her way to the end of the hall and saw two wooden doors that were held open, and saw a large round room that was lit up more brightly then the cells and hall way. She slowly hid behind the wall, looking inside carefully and she saw five chairs in a circle; and her eyes moved over to a man sitting down in a leather chair... he looked about in his twenty's, but she couldn't completely see his face. But she did notice something interesting.... she saw items. A piano; a laptop... art supplies... it was interesting and curious, but creepy at the same time in a way.

She stayed hidden behind the wall, though someone could easily spot her. She was... scared. And skeptical. She didn't want to move.

Dmitri's left foot would swing back and forth, much like a metronome as he waited for his newest additions to enter the room. His mouth would pucker, and his pale and full lips would seem to shiver slightly as he blew out from them, looking quite comical. He would bring his hand up, and would run his long fingers through his thick head of dark locks before his eyes would dart over towards the entrance. His first victim was attempting to hide herself behind a wall, something he found terribly amusing due to the fact of all the noise she was unintentionally making. The sound of her feet hitting the floor, the small sharp breathes she was taking, and even her heartbeat he could have sworn to have heard due to the how fast he was sure it was beating.

"No need to hide my dear Ms. Lethera. Please, come join me and take a seat. I insist."He added, continuing to speak in that cold and cool tone of his, while adding a bit of a demanding side to the end of it. He watched her still and carefully examined her while he waited for her to join him. She was quite attractive to be sure, and he momentarily began to worry because of this. He did so hate hurting pretty things after all.

"Tell me Ms.Lethera....do you know why your here exactly? Have any notion as to why I would chose to take you?" He would place his hands together and would fold them on top of his lap, a small smile beginning to move across his handsome face.

"No need to hide my dear Ms. Lethera. Please, come join me and take a seat. I insist."

Requiem jumped as the man spoke to her, her spine shivering. He looked... young. It was curious; how could a man of this age and beauty be an abductor? She blinked before she slowly moved from behind the wall, her pale skin showing as her bandaged arm hung by her hips. She looked around, before walking to a black chair that looked quite comfortable, actually... it was three chairs down from the man who had spoken to her.

She crossed her arms over her chest, staring at him. Her eyes moved over him slowly, examining his body and any weaknesses or strengths she could point out. When he addressed her again, it took her a moment to process what he had said... she felt cold sweat sticking to her body as she swallowed and then she spoke.

"Um... no... but I'd like to know why I'm here..." she said. Her voice was quiet; and it was expressionless. "Any when I'll be leaving." she added with a bit of a cold edge in her voice, starting straight at him as her hands rested in her lap, shaking lightly.

Sebastian Matthews

Sebastian heard footsteps tip-tap their way towards him, and a sugar sweet voice speak softly. He shuddered slightly. that voice gave him the same feeling as drinking honey, a slimy feeling in the back of his throat that slowly and unnervingly worked it's way to the pit of his stomach. The voice said it's name was Mathew, but before Seb could open his mouth to say a word another voice startled him. This voice was confident and cool, a sweet refresh form the chilling warmth of the sickly honeyed voice. Sebastian didn't trust the voice, but there was a certain force in it that commanded attention and admiration. He also heard a soft startled sound from across the hall. A female sound. Ah, so he wasn't alone. What could this Honey voice, and the confident voice want with them? From the words Sebastian could assume that there were more than the two of them. Odd, wasn't it?

Sebastian found the handle and opened the door. What else could he do? He could already hear the female's footsteps take her to where ever this 'day room' was. He stepped out and put his hands out in front of him, almost like he was a sleepwalker or a zombie. Why not play up the defenseless blind boy. That was what most of the self defense tutors his mother had brought for him had told him to do. Lie low and wait for rescue, because you can't get away on your own. It had been drilled into his cranium time after time by various teachers.

He grasped at the empty air, taking small hesitant steps. He didn't want to fall, and he had no idea what the lay out was like. He could hear the man with the honeyed voice breathing, so he reached out in that direction his pale fingers bent slightly with uncertainty. "I shall need assistance?" He said, a frown pulling at his face. Sebastian didn't like asking for help, but he didn't know any other way to make it to where ever this room was and seem defenseless at the same time. A faint thought wavered in his mind, wondering whether he should have at least put his shirt back on before venturing out. Oh well. This was more comfortable anyway.

Seb's body was slight and uniform, only the barest hint of muscle on his body. His mother made sure he had to do only the most menial task because he was blind and therefore unable to do things by himself. Was he? Seb surely thought not. He was sure he could do things by himself, but now? Doubt and a tad bit of fear blossomed in his belly. He was completely in the dark, and he'd never been in a situation like this before. He swallowed loudly, trying to keep the fear down.

A. Mathews watched as the others made their way upstairs; he looked toawrds him from the where he was, watching Dimitri talk with the girl. He gave a shrug before the boy started to walk near him. "I shall need assistance?" A. Mathew looked at him and tried to hold back a mean snicker before smiling and grabbing his wrist gently. "Alright. I see your blind? Oh, that was a stupid question; sorry." Once again, his voice was gentle yet sly. He led the boy towards the room; when they had arrived he turned towards him before smiling innocently like a child, still trying to keep up the act. It was his way of playing his games, gaining a victim's trusts and then making them do something that would upset the Collector himself; thus, always ending in either him or Dmitri getting their hands bloody. "I am guessing your the one playing the piano?" He said, still holding onto his wrists and leading him over towards the piano. "I play the violin, but I have always wanted to hear someone play the piano, so if you could, do you mind?" He said, letting go of the boy's wrists and placing his own hand onto the top of the piano.

"You must be pretty smart if you can play the piano and are blind. My little sister is blind too." He lowered his voice a little bit before he started to sound a bit sad. "Anyways, you should play the piano!" He tried to tremble his voice a little so it sounds as if he was trying to hide it; though, he was lying about everything. He glanced over towards Dmitri and the girl he was talking to, he had to admit, she was a pretty girl; he always had an eye for pretty things. The boy over here near him was pretty too, but though, the girl was prettier; but A. Mathew always thought that everything was prettier with a bit of blood on it. "Oh! Yes, your name is..." He left his voice wandering a bit so he could answer; sure he knew most of the names and personal information, but A. Mathew didn't memorize any of them.

Sebastian Matthews

Sebastian shuddered again. He didn't like this man much. He ran a finger across the keys before propping one elbow unceremoniously on the ivory keys, making a harsh, ugly sound. He shrugged. "How should I know my name If my own kidnapper does not?" He asked. If he couldn't do anything physically, at least he could put his sharp tongue to good use. He was good at that. Bitterness was delightful sometimes, yes? He wriggled his sore wrist where he'd been injected with some kind of sedative the night of the kidnapping. "Maybe it's addled my brain, don't you think?" He said, then turned to the piano. No need to push too hard. That usually got himself into trouble, and the fear in his belly was telling him that the stakes were much higher now.

"Wow." he breathed, taking his elbow off the piano's keys. The keys were silky to the touch, like butter. A truly beautiful instrument. It was wider than his own, and when he ran his fingers across each keys he found them all perfectly straight and level. Amazing. He hadn't played a piano of this caliber in a while. He felt out the rest of the piano slowly, stroking it as if it were a great cat. "Anyway, sight makes people stupid, so yes, I am pretty smart." He mumbled, more interested in the fantastic piano than in his retort. He rested his face against the keys, sighing softly. His murky eyes stared off into the distance, something that many people found disturbing. Sebasitan never really looked at anyone. He always looked off into the distance. He made a point of it. Some part of him enjoyed receiving others pity, but the prideful part of him made him feel annoyed that people thought him weak.
