Introduction

Color Coded

Image

In a seemingly normal town, in a seemingly normal country, and in a seemingly normal world, even things unexpected and very unrealistic can happen. Things that you might hear about on the internet or in a book. Kids. With Powers. Call them mutants. Call them freaks. Call them genetic disasters if you will. Nobody knows why people started developing these powers. Most were simple, useless, like not having to blink, or being able to jump five times higher than normal. Then more kids developed stranger things, like running faster than normal, flying, walking through walls, talking to animals. Things escalated quickly and before you know it, the normal people are in fear.

Oddly enough, the normal people, a few of them, started developing a mutation of their own. Their senses started developing a way to tell the freaks apart from the humans, by colors. Normally, if they touched someone and their eyes changed color, they were one of the 'gifted'. Pretty soon the 'readers' found out that the color the people's eyes changed actually meant something. They established a number system for each color. The highest anyone ever saw was a '6' and he was hunted down and killed by the people in that town. When a six year old develops a mutation that is more than double the highest seen, what will happen?

The Readers

Image

Readers are basically normal humans with no other powers than the fact that they can tell the gifted apart from the humans. Each has a different way of telling. Some just look a person in the eyes and if they turn colors they know. Others have to make physical contact. Here is the color system they made. (all the ones with - have yet to be discovered. β€’ is the one the six year old is)

1 (yellow): normally nothing dangerous. Probably helps with everyday lives. Normally townspeople seek them out not to kill, but to use for personal gain. (for example, someone with really fast reflexes might be helpful in the army)

2 (black): Some are a little dangerous, but mostly, something that just can't be explained, like being able to see sounds or able to phase through walls, being able to go longer hours without sleeping, eating, or drinking, or even being able to breath underwater

3 (pink): Some of these are more dangerous. Normals tend to avoid these people. Some examples include, talking to animals/controlling them, minor manipulation of the elements (very minor), being able to shock people with one touch.

4 (red): These people are feared and often times captured and put in prison. Few are killed, but many are taken away. Some examples include invisibility, super speed, super strength and even flying.

-5 (silver): Nobody has ever met a five, but some powers might include pyrokinesis, clairvoyance, seeing the future, or force field

6 (orange): People hunt down and kill sixes on the spot. They are much to dangerous. Some examples include teleporting, telekinesis, gravity manipulation, cloning, transformation (into animals or other people), healing

-7 (bright green): These people again, are really feared. They are mostly people with major manipulation of the elements

-8 (light brown): They have two level 3 powers

-9 (white): They have two level 4 powers

-10 (purple): They have two level five powers

Nobody has ever even imagined a power above a ten, but the little girl we come across is a level 16. Let me get into full detail what that means. In fact, I will specify exactly what this little girl can do.

β€’16 (rainbow): 16 is literally the highest the scale goes. It is physically impossible for anyone to get higher than a 16. This girl has so much power she doesn't even know. She has the package deal. She can read minds, send telepathic messages, move things with her mind, and control minds. Not only that, but her words are like an virus. For example, if she were to say that all mushrooms are poisonous to one person, that person would not only believe full heartedly that if you were to eat mushrooms, you would die, but also if he were to say that to another person, they would have the same affects. Anything she says can spread like wildfire. However, she is only six and only realizes right now that she can read minds and move things with her mind.

Plot/Setting

Basically, there will be people in a small average town, and it will start out with not many people not knowing of the girl's power. People will meet each other and realize that there are others like them. They might band together. Normals will find out and some people will be jailed. Maybe others will be taken in for scientific study. The setting will start in the town, but will most likely change to other places. So everything is clear, I decided the setting to be Lakeside in Marblehead Ohio. This small little town is on the very edge of Lake Erie, with a pair and everything.

Here is a map of the place:

http://www.lakesideohio.com/assets/documents/map-lakeside.pdf

There is a dock, a small sailboat area to go sailing. There are tiny cottages, a small grocery, shops, and a farmers market on weekends. It is a gated community with a small school inside the gates. Though small, this school teaches children from grades K-12 (as this town is very very small). There are several playgrounds, a huge auditorium, a movie theater, and even shuffleboard.

Need more info? Check this website out (please ignore the fact that this is a Christian community. I bring no religion into the role-play. I just like this location for this RP)

I also found this: it shows pictures of Lakeside. Most are pictures of little kids and old people, but some are helpful

Allie wasn't supposed to go out during the day. If a reader were to see her, then it would be all over. Rainbow eyes? It would be a disaster. Fortunately, there weren't that many readers. Allie could tell because there was a differentiation between their minds and a normal person's mind. There was also a big difference between the mind of the gifted and the mind of the normal. She could just tell. Which is why Allie was currently sitting cross legged on a rock in the forest, in the Chapel in the woods to be exact. It was a pretty secluded place. Basically it was a flat, wide open meadow with about three rows of benches situated around a memorial with a cross on top. All around the meadow was trees, and on one side was a hill. Up the hill was a road that led back down into the busier parts of Lakeside. There were only a few houses nearby up here, so she often found refuge up here, reading, plucking flowers, or running about like little kids do. The Chapel in The Woods was also tiring to get to. Near the dock was the lowest part of lakeside. You have to climb a lot of hills to get up here. Unless you lived up here, it wasn't worth the trouble.

Allie wasn't a very social kid anyway. Her and her two older siblings lived on Peach Avenue, right by the water. Like the Chapel in the woods, it was secluded. Most 'action' in Lakeside was close to the dock, where most houses were located. The best part was anything to the right of the dock had huge boulder like rocks as a shore. She would climb down to the water and sit on a little rock like island out over the water. Another little safe haven for her that she spent most of her time on.

It was on one of these days at the chapel in the woods that she discovered her powers. She could remember now: She was sitting as she was now, breathing in the scents of flowers and trees. She was playing with a rock, throwing it up in the air, then catching it. One time, she threw it into the air, but it caught on the branches of a tree. Almost with out knowing it, she moved the rock with her mind. The rest of the day, she threw the rock into the air and caught it, both using her mind. She later found out that she could read minds. She never knew why or how, just that she could.

And here she was now, sitting as she did every day, plucking flowers and using her mind to arrange them around the cross above her. However, she heard the presence of someone else, their thoughts projecting into her head. Allie looked over her shoulder to see a figure descending down the hill. Allie didn't have enough time to run or hide or anything, so she just sat there dumbfounded, staring silently at the person.

((I basically started this out this way so it is open for anybody to be descending the hill. Get things started off with people conversing))

Jae-Hwa yawned widely. Damn if today wasn't long. He thought, rubbing his eyes. He'd only just finished his work maintaining the Chapel and he wasn't sure where he'd put his cigarettes down. His head was killing him, itching to go to sleep. Maybe it was another weird... future thing? He wasn't sure. He would've just fallen asleep on the hill, but he saw someone nearby. Seemed like a little girl... Jae-Hwa paused. What was a little girl doing out here without her parents... or friends?

Usually people didn't come out this way. Sure, people sometimes came to visit and play chess, but... most people who came to the Chapel were always in the chapel. So this was new.

He yawned. His head was killing him with every step he took closer to this girl and he wasn't sure how long he'd be able to stay awake when he finally reached her. His thoughts had slowed to a dribble, the way they always did when he was in math class as a kid. Before he realized it, he was standing nearby her. He stayed a little ways away-- he didn't recognize this girl, so... she might be new? It was going to be awkward when he fell asleep.

The auburn haired girl seemed to be staring at him curiously. "...Hi," He said, rubbing his eyes sleepily.

Roxanne was walking down the docks breathing in the fresh air, but crinkled her nose at the smell of the fish. One would think that someone who lives by the water would love all matter of seafood, but not her. She never got used to it, her excuse would be that it tastes too much like the ocean. What did that even mean? She didn't have a clue. Twenty odd years living in Lakeside and she still never got used to the food that was so conveniently abundant there.

As she walked along, she greeted the passers-by with a warm smile; she bet any gifted people would scold her for being so friendly and out in the open, after all, she had no idea who were readers in Lakeside, they could get her locked up at any time, but she didn't care. They wouldn't be able to catch her anyways, well, at least she'd like to think.

After a bit of walking, Roxanne sat down at one of the benches in the pavilion nearby. She started to tap the arm of the bench to a rhythm, not even a minute into sitting and already she's getting bored. Roxanne sometimes wondered if there was something wrong with her brain, maybe she had an attention disorder or something. "I've gotta find something interesting to do around here..." she muttered to herself.

Summer flicked a fleck of golden hair over her shoulder as she looked around.
As she spotted a squirrel, seemingly distressed "Excuse me, are you OK?" She must look insane talking to a Squirrel but most passers-by just ignored her.
She Squirrel looked up at her with interest.
It scrabbles over to her, placing it's paws on her shoe.
The small squirrel shakes its head and scampers back to a tall oak.

Summer shrugs slightly and walks on, looking at everyone intently.
She liked to see if she could decipher people's personalities from how they reacted.
She knew she stood out from the crowd, her light lilac dress was different to the usually grey of the business suits.
Summer knew she should be more careful I mean, a reader could tell she was different just by the way she acted, no need to read her.
That's why she was glad she was only a level 3, any higher and she'd probably be locked up right now.7

After a while of walking around aimlessly and decided to go to the park, she walked over to a old park bench and sat down, just silently taking in the view - Summer never really had any friends, only the animals and that's probably what caused her to develop a power. She loved animals dearly and thinks they're much nicer than humans.
Even though Summer was very childish she wasn't stupid, she could think more clearly than most people but she did have a tendency to drift off and was therefore called ditzy by a lot of people.

Allie recognized the man as he drew closer. He was the guy who would tidy up the chapel. Normally she would avoid him, not because he was a reader (which he wasn't anyway), but because she didn't really want anyone to know she came up here. It was her little place to go. Unfortunately, he already saw her, and was now giving her a somewhat confused greeting, and very sleepily she might add. It looked as if he might pass out on the ground right in front of her.

Whenever Allie took a peek at his thoughts, she noticed it immediately. He wasn't a Reader or a normal person, he was one of the gifted. Being gifted wasn't all that unusual in this town, but it has been a while since she's met anyone above a 3. That might just be because of her lack of anything social. "Hi," she finally said back, awkwardly looking down to the flowers in her hand.

he didn't recognize this girl, so... she might be new? It was going to be awkward when he fell asleep. the guy thought. Fell asleep? That must have something to do with whatever his power is. Maybe something dream related? "I was just..." what was she doing up here? She really couldn't come up with anything good to say so she just let the statement hang there mid-sentence.

Jae-Hwa's mind was screaming at him to go to sleep and the girl seemed like she wasn't too happy with seeing him. "Hi," She said to him, looking at the flowers in her hand. He wondered if she thought he was mad at her? "I was just..." She murmured.

There was nothing wrong with picking flowers around here... Does she think she's in trouble? Maybe she wants to be alone? He thought. There's no one else here...Why is that? Although his thoughts were slowly all turning to Also I should go to sleep, He spoke to her again, "...It's alright if you're here." He rubbed his eyes, focusing hard on the grass. "...Um. But around this time... usually people come up this way." He said. "...I'm not sure if you're... hiding? But..." He couldn't help but yawn. "...If you're trying not to get seen, it would be better to go a little higher up, I'd think." His thoughts were now just a mindless chant of sleep, sleep, sleeeeeeeeep so he rubbed his eyes and murmured, "...Anyway... I'll get out of your hair."

He turned to leave.

Elizabeth Emilia Marlen

It was boring but it was exciting, the city itself was dullsville as were most of the people in it. However, there were always those fascinating ones, those different ones, the colored ones. And she was one of them. Unlike the many of colored eye individuals, Elizabeth loved to go out into the public and screw with society, she was wanted for major theft as well as assault and battery, though she believed her reason was just as she only went after those who ever did wrong. People didn't see it that way though, however, none of that mattered to her. She just liked to cause trouble, she liked the confrontation, though at this point in time she did have more than herself to worry about. Elizabeth had stumbled upon what came to be her twin brother around eight years ago, they were separated at birth for some reason the both of them still didn't know. Aside from her twin brother, she also had two other sisters, one of whom they had to carefully look out for, with the eyes the color of a rainbow. And she, she was too young.

Elizabeth and her twin, Alan, were inseparable, they went everywhere together. He even goes with her to all her charades, however he has a trick of not being seen most of the time. Elizabeth made her way towards the little girl she came to know as Allison, and the little sister she hadn't had till eight years ago. Elizabeth left her family to be with this one, as she was old enough anyways. Upon doing so, she saw a face she didn't quite know the name to. She had seen them before, sometime, from a distance but that was all. That person was walking away from Allison, which was good, as she would have broken his bones had he attempted to hurt her. In her hand Elizabeth had a bow, one she made on her own, it was a hobby of hers, archery. "Hey lovie, who was that?" Elizabeth drew her bow and aimed it at the boy's back. "You didn't see anything." she said from behind him. "Remember that." Her orange eyes almost pierced through the boy's back, she didn't trust a soul.

Alan Forester

Alan spent most of his time surrounded by electronics, or following his sister in her endeavors. However the rest of the time he spent with his other siblings, as he became known as their shadow being he followed them everywhere. He was almost painfully protect of them, especially Allison, she was so young. He was so proud of her and how she handled herself, though those eyes, he feared at a young age she could lose control. She was so little, sometimes he just thought the worst. As he walked with his sister, Elizabeth, he saw Allison who had wandered into one of her usual areas. It was relatively secluded, though at the same time, nowhere was secluded enough. If he could only shove her into a bubble or one of his force fields so no one could get their hands on her. They did horrible things to those with colored eyes, he himself had purple eyes, and Elizabeth his twin had orange. They both thought it was strange as twins their eyes ended up being such different colors. As was their powers. However they complimented each other, Alan was the defensive, and she was the offensive. However, Alan got the extra ability of technomancy, the ability to control technology. Hidden in his pocket was a reconstructed electronic device, that looked like a small robot, it moved around slightly until he tapped it gently and it stopped.

Upon seeing someone walking away from Elizabeth, he elbowed her casually, though she had already taken it upon herself to yell at him and threaten him. He sighed, and walked over to Allison smiling at her. "Hey beautiful, what are you doing? Don't wander off by yourself next time, you worried me sick." He had a gently smile on his face, quite the laid back person he never acted rashly - that was always Elizabeth's territory. However, he had a temper and he could do a one eighty immediately. If he was angry, he was scary. Alan was beginning to worry about their well being, not knowing where they would be in a couple of years. People feared people like them, they were also hunted, killed, tortured, shunned. In short, they were not accepted, they simple could not be. Elizabeth was determined to fight the system, but with Allison, it just couldn't be done right now.

Jae-Hwa hadn't gotten very far away before he heard other people. So her friends are here. He thought. But, the voice from behind him that spoke was much older than he expected. "You didn't see anything. Remember that."

He chuckled. Well, it was older than the little girl, but younger than him. Someone who clearly had no idea who he was, because otherwise why would they threaten him? Anyway, he was positive without turning around that this was some rambunctious teenager with far too much swagger. And she's now made me interested in the little kid. Which I at the very least could say I wasn't about a minute ago. All Jae-Hwa knew was that he wasn't afraid of a teenager. He'd been a teenager once. I don't recommend it.

But he didn't turn. It wasn't because he didn't want to, morseo because his brain just threw up its hands, gave up, and shut down and he felt himself falling asleep. various thoughts rushed through his head, but he ended with Wasn't I looking for my cigarettes? and fell into the beginning of a vision of the future.

Summer was walking when she stumbled upon a man lying on the ground, seemingly unconscious.
Confused - she wasn't sure whether to just leave him there or try and rouse him, maybe he wanted to be lying there? Maybe. Unlikely.

She decided to help and knelt down by his side, her summerdress grazing the floor "Hello?" She whispered, looking to see if he'd been injured "Are you OK?"
He didn't seemed to be hurt and if she were perfectly honest he looks as if he were just sleeping. Really? Out in the cold.
Summer frowns, standing up, but not before removing her small green coat and placing it over him.
At least he won't freeze to death..Maybe. she thought and picked up is arm, digging in her bag and producing a biro.
If he really has been beaten up, he'll need some help. she decided and started to write on his arm:

Found you unconscious on ground. Left coat with you. Return to 52 Pondlane. Didn't phone police. Were you sleeping?

She sat back, feeling a little ridiculous, did she need to write on his arm? No, but then again..That WAS her favourite coat..

Small town. Thought J.C. as he walked aimlessly through the streets of Lakeside, eventually reaching a hilly area. It almost felt strange not having New York's alabaster giants tower over him. But between a gunfight and a small, boring town, he'd pick the small, boring town. Sure, his charges were dropped, but there were still Mafia dons more than happy to put a bullet between his eyes the same he did their associates. So he ended up here. Escaping the past. Always escaping the past. It was a tale that belonged in a movie, really. Before it happened to him, if the past few years of his life was on the silver screen he'd probably love the Producers and the Director. Now he wanted to hurt them. Bad.

Just proves you've always been defined by your violence and vices, J.C. He mentally mumbled to himself. He wished at least he could have kept his job. But maybe it was better he left Law Enforcement. There was talk of "Gifted" criminals and their "superhuman" feats. He had enough problems already, and he didn't want to deal with anybody elses. But now he was here, and that problem was back there, for the most part. He didn't expect too much trouble from this place. Hell, the people even smiled at each other as they walked by.

No, what he had to worry about is some jumpy wannabes with cheap automatics tailing him because pissed-off boss sent him after him. As long as he layed low he wouldn't get into too much trouble. Not enough to pull a gun, he hoped. Returning his mind to the present he found himself near a chapel. J.C. stopped. He looked around him. Walking without thinking, J.C.? Next time you're gonna find yourself floating face-down in some river, like that Vinci bastard.

There was a group of people not far from him, two stone throws away from him. A little girl, two teens, and some Asian, it looked like. He wasn't racist, but it was hard to tell the ages of that particular race. They all looked young. He turned to leave, the he saw the girl point a bow at the Asian. She didn't fire, but she said something, but he walked away, and promptly fell asleep, it looked like. His first instinct was to walk over there and question her, but he wasn't a cop anymore. What was that about staying out of trouble? Walk away J.C. Walk away. It's not your problem.

"Not my problem." He repeated his thoughts to himself quietly. Screw it. And before his mind could protest otherwise, he found himself heading toward the trio.

Roxanne was getting restless, she had to find something to do, she couldn't bear sitting down any moment longer. Maybe she really did have some attention disorder. Well, no matter, no use dwelling on it. She stood up from her seat, and before leaving, she grabbed a water bottle from the nearby vending machine, she was starting to get thirsty. You know what? Now that I've got some water, I might as well do by exercise for the day. Roxanne thought to herself, maybe that would stop her restlessness. She'd have too be careful to not go to fast though, wouldn't want the townsfolk to suspect her. Though, she'd just be a blur that whooshed past them, leaving a gust of wind to blow in their faces, just as a fast moving car would, they probably wouldn't even catch a glimpse of her face, but that would probably just raise alarm, and she wouldn't want that. Or would she? It would probably be funny to see all of the people's dumbfounded faces. No, no. A couple seconds of laughs wouldn't be worth it. Most likely.

Roxanne was jogging down the street when she saw a man wander off into the forest, towards the Chapel in the Woods. Hm. Isn't that interesting. She usually didn't see many people go there to often. She wondered what he was up to. Well. I've got nothing better to do, and maybe this will make today more exciting. Roxanne followed the man but didn't let him know she was there. She wanted to watch from the sidelines, she didn't know what was going down here. Not that Lakeside had anything particularly dangerous going on. At least, not that she knew of. She stayed far enough away that the people wouldn't see or hear her, but close enough that she could still hear them. She hid behind a tree and snuck a quick peek to see the whole scene. This looks like quite the party. She speculated at the amount of people all near the Chapel, and one had a bow it looked like. What was going on here? So strange.

Wasn't this spot supposed to be secluded? She would probably be finding herself somewhere else to go after this. Frankly she didn't mind her brother and sister being here, but at this exact moment, not really. Allie folded her arms. "He wasn't a reader you know..." She mumbled to them as Elizabeth drew her bow. However, things suddenly got much more complicated. The guy fell asleep, like, took a face-plant into the dirt. On a normal day, she would have burst out laughing, but to be honest, she was waiting for this to happen.

"Whatever you do, do not wake him up," she immediately said. Why was. This so important? Because she could read his mind as he was dreaming. And by the looks of it, he was dreaming up the future. Not seconds after he went out, two more people showed up. Allie seriously needed to reconsider where she spent most of her days. "He's asleep," she called out to the person kneeling by his side. To the other person, she looked him dead in the eye and said : "no, it is not your problem."

Wrong move. That was something he was thinking, not saying. Her brother and sisters had talked to her about replying to things people say in their heads. Without another word, she hopped on her little bike, training wheels and all, and pedaled back down to her house, where she promptly descended the rocks and sat on her little island. Her island was very secluded. It was impossible to jump to, and the rocky bottom had seaweed coating the rocks so if someone where to wade into the water, they would slip and take a plunge into the water. Allie got across by lifting a decent sized rock into the air with her mind, and then hopping from it to the island, then putting the rock back down again. Normally Allie went here when she was upset because nobody could bother her here.

With a wordless grumble Freya finally bowed to the inevitable and sat up in her bed, how she would have liked to continue to doze in her very comfortable bed. But she knew if she tried she would never get any peace. A certain dark eyed female would not allow it and would simply keep waking her up until she gave in and got out of bed.
Who needs an alarm clock anyway She thought with a sigh before glaring at the architect of her torture every single morning, dark eyes simply gazed back at her with nothing but innocence in them. Freya swung her feet to the floor and raised her eyebrow at the very large furry shape standing beside her bed. Luna simply stood, tail wagging and tongue lolling out of her mouth in that way that made her look as though she was smiling.

"Move you big oaf." Freya grumbled and shoved Luna backwards slightly, it was an affectionate nudge however as for all her grumbling Freya loved the Wolfhound more than anything. Luna allowed herself to be pushed back though she did nothing to help Freya instead taking the opportunity to lick her face whenever she could. Freya shook her head at the strangeness of animals before heading into the bathroom. Some time later she came out feeling somewhat more awake and at least a little bit human considering it was before 11 am. Luna was now standing in the doorway to her bedroom whining impatiently and Freya sighed again before following the animal downstairs and into the kitchen.

Luna was so large that her head reached above the kitchen worktops and Freya had to nudge her nose out of the way while she readied the animals breakfast. After repeated attempts to get at the food Freya had had enough and pointed to the hallway.
"Out!" She snapped sharply.
After a moment of hesitation Luna slunk out of the kitchen and lay down in the hallway, Freya nodded in satisfaction glad that the training she had done with the animal was still working. A moment later Freya sat with a cup of coffee whilst Luna noisily demolished her breakfast. She held the mug in her hands and thought over what she had to get done today, she was behind on her deadline and knew she had to knuckle down and get back on track but she was finding it difficult and hoped that she did not have writers block.

Eventually she decided fresh air would help clear the cobwebs in her head and she grabbed Luna's lead, basically a well made length of rope with a collar, and headed outside. Though chilly it wasn't freezing and Freya found herself enjoying the fresh air and the cool weather. Her house was in the main part of town near the docks and she walked along the docks now smiling and nodding to those she passed.

Andrew quickly flipped over a gate as the wind began to blow. The foot steps that were heard being splashed through puddles of water were quite loud really. This was your normal day in the life of the dare devil Andrew Pryor. He was in the middle of his latest chase and this wasn't his favorite one. Andrew ran up the side of a brick wall almost like a pro and tucked in his head and teleported to a rooftop rolling out of his teleportation.

"I guess the power does work well in a flip." Andrew said as he laughed. Looking over the side of the building which happened to be more than 12 stories tall, he saw the boring little community that he lived in. Lakeside, there wasn't really much to it except the fact that there were people with superhuman abilities running around. But otherwise it was a pretty well cooped up community.

Running off the side of building Andrew fell into a crucifiction pose as he fell. As his speed increased he was nearing the ground and his ear drums felt as though they were about to pop. This was it, the adrenaline rush that made having powers worth it. As he was close to the ground he instantly teleported into his "sisters" room landing on her floor with a huge thud. Looking up at his sister half naked he closed his eyes and immediately knocked his head against her bedpost, "Oh my gosh Laci! Put some damn clothes on will ya."

Lacianne Fluer Roux

Lacianne curled up under her blankets, resisting becoming fully awake. She clung to the last tatters of her dream that had been of her mother.
Her soft blankets and naturally warm skin made the bed into a warm, cozy cocoon. She cuddled deeper into this comforting warmness, before reluctantly shoving the blankets off of her body. She flinched against the rush of colder air.
With a yawn, Laci languidly stretched in a cat-like manner. Yawning again, she sat up and brushed her hair over into one shoulder. It was late in the day, but Laci had a terrible habit of sleeping in quite late.

The last of her sleepiness quickly wore off when Andrew teleported into her room, with a very, very loud thump. At first she yelped, surprised, then quickly gave the male a cold, yet loving scowl.
"Oh my gosh Laci! Put in some damn clothes will ya."

Laughing lightly, she glanced down at what she was wearing. She wore a thin, fitted white tank top over her undergarments that were very easily seen through the top. "It's not like I'm naked." Laci laughed as he quickly covered his eyes and knocked into her head post. "And anyways, it's not any different than a bikini." She pointed out, stand up and sauntering over to her dresser, playfully bumping Andy with her hip as she passed by. She was humble about her appearance, but certainly didn't have anything to be ashamed of.

Lacianne pulled on a crop-top that hung over one shoulder with the British flag on it, and fitted jeans. "I'm decent." She told him teasingly, brushing out her long hair. She leaned against her dresser and looked over at him. They had met a long while ago, both of them struggling to stay out of sight. They would kill him on sight, and she didn't even want to know what they would do to her. They were very close now- practically siblings. Both were usually very closed off, but let their gaurds down around each other.

He looked up at the slender, blonde girl as he rubbed his head. "It's not like I'm naked." Laci laughed. "Oh no your not naked but you could use a shave. Have you seen those legs?" He teased jokingly and Laci before she bumped him with her hips as she passed by to get dress.

Andrew fell in an overdramatic pose as he felt the hit. He knew she had nothing to be ashamed of and he was well aware of that as well. He saw her put on her clothes and stood up and looked at her as she leaned on the dresser staring back at him. "So what's for breakfast today?" He asked as he let out a grin and stared at her with glossy eyes.

It wasn't her day. It really, really wasn't her day. She was surrounded by morons. Morons, the lot of them. She stared unamused at the man whom had apparently fainted, only to be sleeping. He was walking away....and then sleeping. However, Allison told her not to wake him, and that only meant one thing. He was a person of colored eyes, he was most likely seeing something that involved another point in time, or something to do with dreams in general. While she would love to have just kicked him repeatedly until he woke, or shot an arrow into his leg to wake him, she didn't. Instead, her eyes made their way to the girl next to him. Dumbass. she was writing on his arm, kneeling there. "Oh kill me now." she said, looking at yet another person who was approaching them, she, Alan, and Allison to be all the more precise. It was never good to have someone approach you directly like that, they were usually police, or readers. Neither of them - give her one sibling, were good to have around or come across. "What the hell do you want?" she barked at him, aiming the arrow directly at his chest. Elizabeth wasn't like the other people here. She was raised somewhere else and grew up differently. She in fact, never left the house without packing heat and technology.

Not that her bow looked like anything special, give that that wasn't the only thing she had. She noticed Allison walk away, trying to be on her own yet again - which she and Alan tried their best not to allow. But she was young, and she didn't understand. She always told them, you are never really alone. Elizabeth looked the man up and down, the way he walked was somewhat familiar. Though the person themselves was not. Being a wanted criminal so to speak, there were certain people that carried themselves in such a way that would just reek of the law. It occurred to her that moments ago her sister read his mind, hopefully he wouldn't take to it. She lowered her bow and glared at him, only to peel her eyes away and speek to Alan. "Go." she said, urging him to go after Allison. Alan walked away from the bunch and headed towards where his sister disappeared to another place where she tried yet again to be alone. "Whatever, I leave you idiots to your own devices." Elizabeth then turned away, though fully preparing to turn back around and hit someone should they approach her. She would love to stand here and play with the others, but they were too close to home.

"This is weird, why would everyone just wandering around here like that? People haven't been here in a long time." Alan sighed as Elizabeth approached. "Like nats huh?"

Jae-Hwa had felt this way before.

When his head started pounding the closer he got to something or someone, it meant that this thing or person was bound to change everything as he knew it. He could see everything that happened in the world, but he narrowed it down to just Lakeside, hoping to understand why a little girl had made him succumb to this.

The images always started out slow. The little girl would go home. Why? He wasn't sure. The others talking-- a girl with a bow, a boy, what looked like an older man. There was a jacket on Jae-Hwa and words on his arm. He went to someone's house to return a jacket. He came back home. The images began speeding up. The girl with the bow was always pointing it at people. The little girl only left her house from time to time. The boy seemed to always be with the girl. People he recognized doing everyday things, people he didn't recognize doing everyday things.

The images were now just flicking past. Faces. Places. Sun rises, sun sets. But he slowed the images down when he saw the little girl from before. He wasn't sure how much time had passed.

What's going on? Jae-Hwa thought, staring at the scene for a bit. The girl just seemed to be talking to someone. He wanted to try and see what she was saying, maybe slow down his future sight some more, but he was too late and continued forward in his visions.

Soon, he wasn't recognizing people anymore. He'd watched another iteration of his death-- it changed almost weekly, so he wasn't 100% sure how he'd die. At least it wasn't from a car, though. Then he watched as the world grew and grew and grew...

The ending of the world always changed. He wasn't sure why. This time, the sun swelled up and swallowed the Earth. But fortunately, no one died by being burned to a crisp. No, the sun expanded slowly, drying up all the water on earth as it did. Life that depended on water perished from dehydration and those things that lived long enough to hang on died from the fires and the unbearable heat. Then, the earth was swallowed up. Finally, the Sun became a planetary nebula-- Jae-Hwa read about them because of these visions of the future sometimes being this way-- and then a white dwarf, and then a black dwarf. Then, there was darkness.

Jae-Hwa felt his consciousness fading. Was that the end? He wondered, sleepily. But he was tired and needed to rest. He didn't bother answering his own question.

Roxanne listened intently behind her tree, she didn't dare try to peek again. Things were getting way too dramatic, she definitely didn't want to be noticed now. The girl with the bow seemed to get mad quite easily, and Roxanne did not want to deal with that, especially when the girl had a weapon.

Now the little girl started to leave; she could hear the tiny pitter-patter of footsteps get further and further away. Roxanne didn't catch what the little girl said before though, she was to busy worrying about being caught eavesdropping. Now the girl and the boy she was with was leaving, presumably trying to go after the little girl. Now there was still the guy sleeping on the floor, some blonde-haired chick just standing there, and some other guy who came out of the blue. What should she do? She could leave.. Scratch that. She should leave, but she was curious about these people. Although, what if they were dangerous.. Could they be? Maybe the other guy who wasn't sleeping, but he didn't seem to be hostile when he walked up to the whole group. Her curiosity was starting to really wear away at her now, she just had to know what was happening here.

Roxanne took a deep breath and then came out of her hiding place. She tried not to look threatening, but instead she walked towards the group with an air of confidence, if you could even call it that. "Quite the party over here, huh?" She said, looking around at them, and then resting her eyes on the sleeping man. "I didn't know that so many people liked to hang around in a forest. Kind of boring if you ask me."

Although Allison now didn't have her usual spot to go to, she had just witnessed something incredible. She had seen the future, through reading some sleeping guy's mind. Although most people might just say it was a dream, Allie firmly believed that that was his gift, dreaming the future. When Allie had read the guys mind, she hadn't made sense of any of it. It was just a bunch of flashes of stuff that zoomed past her brain. Then it just suddenly stopped. Though this only took a few seconds for her brain to pick up, she could tell that this guy was actually dreaming up this stuff, and that he probably would be dreaming for a while.

Now her brain finally had time to decode these flashes of images. In her brain she practically replayed the guy's thoughts in her head in slow motion. She could see herself, and her siblings, and people she recognized and people she didn't. She could see her talking to someone she didn't know. Who? She could also see how this guy was going to die and how the world was going to end. It kind of scared her, but for now Allie was just amazed at how he could see the future. Digging a rock out from a crevasse on her little island with a stick, she looked out over the lake.

Life was never easy for her.

Re: Color Coded

Unfortunately... I think so...

Re: Color Coded

I'm going to guess by the fact that Haas just put her own character up for adoption that this has well an truly died then?

Re: Color Coded

The ability to pass through solid matter. It's basically the ability Shadowcat from the Xmen had.

So she's able to walk on water and like by changing how she moves through the matter, as well as walking through walls. Of course it's harder and more taxing if she had to phase a bullet through herself to avoid being shot for example.

And welcome back Haas.

Re: Color Coded

Merchant: I think illusions might be above a level three...But yes, ageless and self sustenance would be perfect!
Belynta: Maybe just go somewhere in lakeside! I've noticed in this role-play already that people tend to go where others are. Chances are that if you say you are going to the dock, people will end up interacting with you. Or, Pm someone and see if maybe you could have some sort of relationship with their character (maybe they are friends, could take sailing lessons together, maybe work at a restaurant?)
Fabricator: I feel stupid for asking this, but what is intangibility?

To all: sorry for my absence. Internet was down. It's fixed now.

Re: Color Coded

I've submitted my character. Hopefully it'll be accepted.

Kinda looking forward to being a mechanic in town.

Re: Color Coded

I want to post again but I'm not sure what to have Freya do, I don't want her to wander to the woods as that is supposed to be a secluded place. I'm just not sure how to bring her into things more?

Re: Color Coded

Well fallen explained that her char has tech covered.

@Haas
What level would illusions be. Because I figured out a character.
If illusions are too strong what would ageless be. Basically I stop aging at my prime and cant die of old age.
I would like to combine self sustenance with ageless ness. Would that constitute lvl3?

Re: Color Coded

Merchant: First of all, Where have I seen you before? I can't put my finger on it.... also, there is both a female and a male level 3 spot left. The technology related one would probably be a level 3, and the other two (eidetic and adoptive muscle memory, and self sustaining) are both two

Re: Color Coded

Oh yeah
@fallen
You took my technopathy!!! Aaaaaaah...
Can't wait to see him in play.

Could you elaborate on the ability because I might have a similar ability but it might be different enough to be its own ability.
is it like this?
http://powerlisting.wikia.com/wiki/Computer_Interaction

@haas33
How would you rate that ability ^^^ if it isn't taken by fallen?

Re: Color Coded

Hey there Haas. I was wondering what level my
Enhanced Memory would account for? Not sure if you remember
Adoptive Muscle Memory and Eidetic memory. I see you have only level 2 and under left. How would you rate those abilities seperately and together.

Also of course I'm curious if I can join?

If those are too much then I'll substitute them for this:
http://powerlisting.wikia.com/wiki/Self-Sustenance
that should be no more than level 2 if even that. I can use all his free time to learn martial arts test his power.

Re: Color Coded

Ok Haas finished up Andrew.

Re: Color Coded

Character submitted Haas, I hope it is acceptable and sorry for the delay.

Re: Color Coded

@Haas33 I edited J.C. a bit, added a few more missing things. I also made pain suppression part of his "other traits" as that surviving multiple wounds is humanly possible, and when coupled with J.C.'s will, I think would go better with other traits.

Re: Color Coded

Can I reserve the Male/Female level 3 please?

Re: Color Coded

May I reserve a level 3 female, please?

Re: Color Coded

Ok so I finished up Andrew, hope he's good and sorry for copying the power I'll probably change it once i get an ok from Haas33

Re: Color Coded

Laci is all finished up! I hope you guys like her! ;D

Re: Color Coded

To Belynta: I feel as if I have Rped with you before. I want to say it was in 24 elements? Does that sound familiar?
To Fallen: My mistake. I hope it doesn't inconvenience you...I must have read it wrong.
To Ripjaw: The powers look good except I'm a little confused as how pain suppression is linked to his power? If it is a completely different power, then I don't feel as if that is a level four power. I accepted it, but I just need some clarity.
To all: I know I do have it that weapons are necessary on the character sheet, but I probably didn't think that thru. Here, let me give some more detail about this location.

Lakeside is a very very small gated community. In that aspect, cars are rarely used. oddly enough, golf carts are a popular mode of transportation and so is bikes. Sometimes people even walk because everything isn't tat far from each other. There is no bus to the school, you just walk there. Because I really don't feel like incorporating school into this rp at the moment, lets just say that this is during the summertime.

Because this is a gated community and people know each other, normally kids and anybody just goes wherever as long as it is inside the gates. People would just walk around late at night for no good reason. This is a very quiet community. Parties are not common, but if there are it isn't at the house, it is at the docks. Alcohol is only seen inside homes (sold outside gates) and people rarely have weapons.

This is how Lakeside normally is. However, when it gets further into the rp, people will start hunting others down, acquiring weapons. The whole entire town becomes backwards. I sort of want it to start out completely innocent, and then turn completely upside down. So in the beginning, people rarely go out of the house with a cellphone let alone a gun or knife. As the rp progresses, you would be a fool to walk out alone unprotected.

Re: Color Coded

May I reserve a Level Three male?

Re: Color Coded

Now, I like this idea. Is there a spot open for a level 4 male?

I'll submit a character sheet to so you can see if his "powers" match the level I'm requesting, or if I need to go a step down.
