Description

Ao Taidana

Five Interests/Hobbies:

1. Gaming
2. Zelda
3. The Internet
4. Sleep
5. Cooking

Biography: (5-10 Lines)

Ao has always been a contender for the most lazy no matter where he went, due to the fact that even getting up from a bed proposes a challenge. Usually sitting around his bedroom eating chips and browsing on his computer, the consoles and technology in his room mean more than people at most times (in his opinion.) Relationships are a pain and usually don't seem to be worth the time, especially in the movies Ao watches. Ramen and Sunkist are some of the most heavenly things in Canada, including anime and Zelda. Anyone that tends to disagree with him doesn't cross his mind anyway, cause he's more caught up in his life over theirs. Which... is basically nothing.

Five Dislikes:

2. Work
3. Sunlight
4. Most Relationships
5. Thinking about Life

The Apartment- Near Lake Ontario

Slipping away from the bus with a sigh, Ao pulled his bags from behind with an expression of pure agony. I could have gone another month in my room anyway, Mom. Thanks for even driving me here, tool. The apartment he edged for was mere feet away, his left hand going for the door intensely as he got as close as possible with the bags in the other hand. It took moments for Ao to finally open the door, but finally it cracked open and the smell of a clean house exploded out. Quite literally, almost everything he saw was untouched and brand new. A television set in the corner with both two recliners and a couch surrounding it. When looking to the left, a kitchen sat behind the small but cozy living room with a fridge...but no food. Figures. To his right were the bedrooms, all lined down a narrow hallway behind closed doors. Well then, first come first serve! Whatever bedroom I eye is mine, no matter what the others think when they come here.

It took hours of attempted organization before Ao slipped onto his mattress and gave off a heavy sigh. Finally done with all that 'organizing.' His room was now a collection of scattered chords for his consoles, controllers, games and food. Shirts were half-tucked in their drawers, making an addition to the already homely room that was now his own. Sliding outside the room and looking about, a package of ramen was thrown on the counter as cooking began. Water boiled ferociously atop the stove but lowered to a low growl as he lifted the tea kettle from its place over his bowl, steadily pouring away. Ao turned for the stove once more but watched while his kettle fell from his hand to the ground with a crash. As expected, my luck.

The kitchen was near empty of rags, meaning something of his own would have to be used in cleaning up. Spectacular. With a nonchalant throw of one towel over the mess, he clapped both hands with a smile. Let's just wait for that to cool down. And with that thought, Ao took his Manchurian ramen in hand heading for the bedroom to reunite with a dark room, Sunkist, and some GameCube memories.

Somebody else is here.

Knowing the landlord had said others would live here made it a slightly smaller surprise, but nonetheless painful to bear. Already? More people? It hasn't been a full day either! Ao groaned at the thought of even more people coming later on, but instead of getting up from his bean bag Ao turned up the volume on the television and resumed playing Zelda; taking the occasional sip from a Sunkist.

With a swift, and quite powerful kick at that, the front door was thrown into a sudden fit of motion as it was propelled forward and flung hard against the side of the wall that it clung to. A moment or two later a brown-haired young man passed through it heaving a few seemingly heavy-looking bags under his arms, and a not-so pleased expression slapped across his face.‘Who makes these doors anyway? Within a week the poor thing might be off it’s hinges.’

Shaking his head he dropped the pointless thought and quickly closed the door behind him.

Turning round with a sigh, Folly, as the young man was known as, instinctively began to make his way towards the area where the bedrooms were situated. However, when entering the kitchen area he then noticed another young man whilst making his way through the apartment. The presence of someone else had caught Folly off guard a little despite knowing that there would be other housemates here, and it didn’t help things when realizing how easily he had forgotten that small detail.‘You’d think I would’ve remember that part, at least!’

“Eh, hi. Nice to meet you.” He managed to utter whilst sidestepping across the floor. Unsure of what else to say just then, instead, he turned and hurriedly made his way to the bedrooms before selecting one for himself. Out of mere randomness he chose the very first room closest to the kitchen, again opting to kick open the bedroom door before heaving his belongs through it, and naturally slamming the door tightly shut behind him.

After setting down his bags the young man began to empty them one after another, carefully placing and arranging things in a structured manner which would hopefully make the newfound room more homier and to his liking. If anything, it would at least put him a little more at ease and feel a little better over the whole moving ordeal.

Of course, it hadn’t slipped his noticing that there was a vague rumble of noise echoing not too far away. With this, Folly quickly assumed that someone else was also in the apartment beside the other young man he had seen before. With a groan and momentarily pulling himself away from organizing his room, the brown-haired male gave a simple sharp bang against his bedroom wall in the direction of where the annoying noise came from. Folly was adamant that his displeasure ought to be easily understood by the other individual, and perhaps they might get the message to lower the volume.

A moment later he reassumed tending to his room.

Some minutes later Folly then emerged out in the hallway with a small plaque of some sort in his hands, along with a handful of nails and a hammer. Placing the nails into one of his pockets he then began to hammer the plaque onto his door, it read : Folly Val’s Room.

The Apartment

Startled from his sleep as a fairly close thud sounded throughout the apartment, Ao stepped up from his bean bag and disregarded the left-on GameCube. In the hallway was not one, but two people now. What?! TWO PEOPLE? It became awkward quickly as Ao gave of a semi-laugh outside his door, making eye contact with the hammer and nail guy. He was looking away from the door in which he continued to nail a plaque into, and at that one with his own name. Folly Val's Room. Great. An organized roommate with a snobby look on his face. The other roommate, however, looked sluggish and tired. His arms swung at the sides, eyes droopy and expression blank.

"I'll just...be...in, uh, my room." Ao said hesitantly with the slam of his door and a huff. Time for something else.

Folly blinked and faced the curious individual who emerged from the room. His hair was blonde and he seemed a little surprised by the presence of the other two housemates. However, Folly just continued to hammer the plaque onto his door in the meantime, before shifting his attention fully onto the young man a moment or two afterwards.

“Hey there…” He muttered, unable to finish his sentence as the odd male had already slunk away back into his room awkwardly. ‘Well that was a fine how-do-you-do.’

After the plaque was securely mounted onto his bedroom door Folly tidied away his things from the hallway and into his room, before some minutes later standing out in the hallway again, feeling a little confused though curious of those he would be living with.

With a shrug, he decided that it was best to get the introductions over with sooner rather than later, at any rate. He couldn’t really handle this sort of weirdness any longer and would prefer to at least familiarize himself with the others, and those who would arrive later. With that, the brown-haired young man made his way into the kitchen area where he knew the other male was, and attempted a more proper first impression than before.

“Hi there, again.” He began with a soft tone of voice. “My name is Folly Val. You are?”

With a groan, Ao crushed the last of his Sunkist cans and looked to the floor. Spread across his bedroom already were a pile of emptied cans, open game cases, blankets, and snack wrappers. Face it, Ao. You're a grown man who has to walk out there and say it. Say hello. These thoughts pressured him into standing from his bean bag, leaving the comfort of his floor and making way to the other roommates. With a hand on the doorknob and stern expression, both temptation to quit and continue tugged at him over and over. DO IT. God, fine conscious. Whatever you say. Ao tore away the door before arguing the pros and cons once again and walked out to the kitchen with a blanket wrapped around him. And for the first time, for his memorable, valued first statement; he said:

"Neither of you would happen to have any Sunkist cans, right?"

Spot on.

Blaine had settled on grilled cheese. While there didn't seem to be much in the house- he was going to have to go out for groceries soon -there was bread in a drawer and cheese in the fridge. Fortunately, neither were spoiled. Honestly though, when he had found the bread, he expected it to be a rainbow of colors. Instead, it looked pretty normal, which was nice. He was making two sandwiches, even though he probably would only end up eating half of one. Suppose he could leave it out for whoever else came along, or just throw it out. It didn't really matter much to him, either way. After buttering the bread- something else he found in the fridge, mini-tub of butter -he threw it down on a plate and slipped back to his room to get his cigarettes. When he was on his way back, someone was hammering something into a door, presumably a name-plate or something similarly strange.

The pan was heated when he reentered the kitchen, permitting him to throw the slices into it and move away to relax against the counter. With a somewhat practiced move, he hit the back of the cigarette pack and one popped out for him to grab. Taking a second to light it, he placed the death-stick between his middle and index, taking a slow drag before letting it out to the side. It wasn't long after that he noticed someone else entering the kitchen, the guy who had said hello earlier. Nodding slightly in his direction to show he acknowledged his presence, he took a second to scoop the sandwich up and dump it onto a plate, sending it across the table towards the guy in some sort of peace offering. "Blaine Rum." He replied, dumping the other sandwich into the pan now. The white and black haired man looked like he might have been about to say something when another walked in with a blanket around his shoulders, asking about Sunkist. Blaine quirked an eyebrow, pointed to the fridge- free of the orange beverage -and turned back to the stove.

My God. We... are out of, of food. Ao nearly collapsed from the gesture to a nearly empty fridge, gasping and going back for his room with fierce anxiousness. I have to have something. Both feet slid across the floor, kicking back and forth as his blanket swayed from wall to wall. Ao took a right to the first room down the hall, gently pushing the door inward as his feet drug back in. Desperate measures.

Folly watched silently as the other young man pushed a plate over in his direction, a freshly prepared sandwich laying on it.

“…Thanks… Blaine.” He quietly mumbled, seeming a little surprised by the offering. He certainly hadn’t expected it, though he didn’t turn it down either. Picking the plate up in his hands he looked at the sandwich for a moment before hearing the presence of the other male enter the kitchen.

It was the same fellow from before, with the blonde hair, except this time he had a blanket wrapped round him. The mere sight of the male caused Folly to raise a questioning eyebrow, though he said nothing in regards to his question. In general, Folly found the odd individual to be rather unusual and weird, and certainly not like many people he had met before. And just as expected, the blonde housemate had left just as quickly as he had emerged without saying another word.‘I don’t get that guy, he reminds me of a child… Great. This ought to be interesting.’

Taking a cautious bite of the sandwich that he was given, Folly left the plate on the table momentarily as he walked over and casually began to look through the cupboards within the kitchen. It became rather apparent now just how foodless the housemates were.

“My mother would keel over if she saw how bare these cupboards were,” He said with a gentle sigh escaping his lips. “We really need to go shopping. Or, at least make a list of things to buy and send someone.”

We've gone hours without food. Somebody has to take a stand. Ao replayed this thought over and over throughout his mind, thinking of the possibilities. And at that moment, it had come to him. A list. Scribbling the word groceries overtop a paper towel, Ao continued to list the necessities for what would maintain the house's food supply.

GROCERIES

Sunkist

Kripsy Kreme

Pringles

Hot Pockets

Manchurian Ramen (and only this kind)

(NOTE: This is for me. You guys get whatever you want, I guess. Yeah.
-Ao (Your roommate)

With a slap of his hands and yawn, Ao left the warmth of his room and quickly slide to the fridge, slapping the paper on the door and going back to his room without recognition of the others.

Ao groaned in his sleep, turning from his bed with a jolt. In his sleep, someone strangely new to him but also recognized turned with a smile, talking to him in an unknown language. He nodded and continued to listen, but woke up after watching her disappear from the dream.

As he stood from the floor and scratched his head, Ao now noticed the reasoning behind his sudden rise from sleep: he had fallen from the bed. And awkwardly, after using the bathroom and returning to his bed, not a single moment of his lengthy dream left his mind. How unusual.

Blaine watched the other male inspect the sandwich, wondering if he thought that he had poisoned it or something of the like. It wouldn't surprise him, it wasn't like people didn't already cross to the other side of the street when they saw him walking on the one they were on. The white haired boy just gave off that sort of impression, he supposed, that feeling that hey, this guy is dangerous. Though he usually wouldn't hurt a fly, in reality. From a young age he was taught how to fight, but even now the other fighting he did was in defense, never in offense.

The kid that was in the house before Blaine had even arrived had left now, paler than he was when he came in- which might have been impossible, did that guy ever put down the games and go outside? He had no room to judge though, he was just as pale. His own grilled cheese was finished now, slightly burnt because he'd forgotten about it while watching the Folly character, but otherwise alright. After switching it onto the plate, he carried the pan over to the sink- careful to stay out of the wandering Folly's way -and let a bit of water run into it before leaving it be.

Carrying the plate to the table, he sat down and continued to watch the other guy, taking a bite out of his food and wincing when he burnt his tongue. A few moments later and the gamer-kid came out again, seeming to completely disregard them as he set a list down on the table and left again. Looking up at Folly with a quirked eyebrow, he pulled the list towards him and started reading over it. Mentally crossing out the Krispy Kreme and and possibly the Pringles too, he glanced back up at his new roommate. "Don't suppose you want to go now with me? I'm afraid that kid might die from lack of sugar."

Upon closing the cupboard door Folly vaguely caught sight of the blonde-haired male, again, who had left some sort of list for them, presumably, to read over. “Hey--” Before he could even finish a sentence the odd housemate was completely out of sight and out of the range of his voice, which was slowly dwindling to a mere utter of annoyance. With a less-than-amused sigh Folly took a seat at the table and joined the other male, slowly taking a few more bites of his sandwich whilst thinking over the offer proposed by Blaine.

“I don’t really believe we have much of a choice,” He said, clearing his throat and adjusting his eyes towards the figure across from him. “Do you have any money?”

Noticing the list next to Blaine at that moment, Folly casually leaned over and pulled the small piece of paper towards himself once assuming the male was done reading it over, before glancing over it out of curiosity.

“Ao? So that’s his name.” Folly pondered aloud, momentarily, before offering a simple nod to Blaine. “Anyway, sure. I’ll go with you. At least between us we might actually get some decent food, along with… this stuff,” Pausing, he neatly folded up the list before securely placing it into one of his pockets for safe keeping. “I have some money on me anyway so we’re set either way, for now. Once we‘re finished eating we can head out. I don‘t really imagine Ao would want to come with us…”

As he ate his sandwich the brown-haired man mentally wondered whether the weird housemate would join them or not. Though, given what he’d experienced so far, it wasn’t likely. Folly quickly shook off the thought before returning his attention onto Blaine, his eyes curiously, and unknowingly, staring directly at the white-haired male.

Ao stuck his head from the door, the smell of good food practically radiated from the kitchen. It's come. With no slight hesitation he ran from the bedroom across the counter, slipping his hands into the Twinkies and chips that waited for him. And on the way back, a weight fell in his stomach awkwardly. Stealing others' food. Ao decided to shrug this off with a grin, stuff his face with a handful of chips, and go back into his room.

Midori snapped her head up. Something felt... wrong. As she quickly rose and peeked out from her room, she caught glimpse of a blonde haired male retreating into his room with her food. She swiftly strode over and flung open his door.

"What the fuck do you think you're doing with my food?" She glared at him angrily, doing her best to not let her emotions overpower her. Her hair had now changed from a bright neon, to a dark, forest green. She stomped up to him and locked eyes with him.

"You do not under any fucking circumstances, take my goddamn food." Midori growled, her hair turning a shade darker. With that, she snatched the things he had took and walked over to the living room to play some Skyrim, enjoying the power of using her Thu'um to plow through enemies.

While playing Skyrim in the living room, Midori took out a box of cigs from her pocket and lit one. Taking a long drag she held the cigarette with two fingers, simultaneously gripping the controller. She let out an irritated sigh as she heard the crinkle of plastic as someone, presumably the blonde haired guy again, exited the kitchen and stepped back into their room.

Pausing Skyrim, she went back over to the guy's room and opened his door as he was stuffing one of her Twinkies in that face of his. Holding out a hand, she motioned for him to cough up her food.

"Look," She sighed, pulling out her wallet from the back pocket of her jeans when he wouldn't give her food back. Midori removed one of many hundred bills she still had left over from that lottery money she won about a week or so back.

"Here's some money for your own damn food. Go crazy," She said, handing him the money. "Oh, and can I borrow that game sometime?" She pointed at his T.V. where he was playing Wind Waker. Her hair now lightened to a sort of mint green.

"Zelda games are the shit." Midori added, with a slight smile, exiting the room.

Ao spit out the food as his jaw dropped down low. She likes Zelda. Before she could fully leave the room, he slid across the bed and lightly tapped her back with an awkward laugh. "Forget about the food, ehe-" he said, slipping his hand across the back of his head. "You want to play Wind Waker with me?" Then going on to remove the food from his bed, he slid it back into the cupboard with a sigh. This isn't you. A roommate says she likes Zelda and you choose that over food? You're kidding me. This thought was pressed back in his head while waiting for the response, his face turning to its bored usual state.
