Introduction

A group of Archeologists go into the Amazon Forest and find a hidden Temple which oddly resembles the Mayan pyramids, and decide to explore it. They find out many neat things, but no one will ever hear about any of them because after entering and tinkering with the temple, they activated a trap which sealed the doors and awakened the demon inside of it. As the temple's last resort, it removed the colored tablets from the walls and sent them around the world attaching to people, animals, and objects. What used to be on the tablets are now tattooed onto these new objects and give the user great powers; a power to wield Colors. A mysterious message is sent out over the internet about these strange tattoos that appeared, but no one knows where they came from or what they do... for now. Is there a way to remove yourself from this curse, or will you be hunted down by those who want to take your powers? After recieving the powers, they get a message from someone who has a power, like you, and tells you there is a way to relieve themselves of your power. You could either travel to the location in search of relieving your powers, or try to stop those who want to take your powers away. Besides the main plot of the RP being "Find out how to return/Gain more power," it will be ,obviously, to stop the main villian from stealing all of the Colors since his motive is to create a New World where he is the God. Cliche? Perhaps, but he has a more descrete motive revolving around that.

Basically, when the Tablets removed their energy and sent it across the planet, it made Tattoos (or Marks) that were the color of the Tablet (red tattoo, blue tattoo, etc.) and depending on the color, you had magic powers, but they are very specific powers (Forest Green - While touching anything green, you are allowed to teleport to anything else green that has some sort of path to what you were previously touching). Here's a example; Amethyst - Allows you to create a 3x3 ft, thin, purple tinted wall that cannot be destroyed in front of you. The wall cannot move from its original position. This is a good ability because it has an acceptable effect, but still has a drawback. Your body can only have 1 color on them and items can only have 1 color on them (this rule is not applied to the Beast). I'm going to allow people to have up to 2 colors though to prevent people from becoming over powered. This is an example of the main villian: Body - Pink, Sword - Onyx. He has 2 colors, but his body only contains 1 color. If someone takes his sword, they can use it's power, but I'm making it mandatory for items (and some body colors) to have a command word/phrase so they can only be triggered at that moment.

General Color Category

Red - Fire/Emotions
Yellow - Electricity/Movement
Purple - Mind/Space

He can only target 1 person and he must have his arm extended the whole time. He cannot make them kill anyone or kill themselves.
Tattoo/Mark: In the shape of an elipse with a filled circle at the center. Also has 4 wiggling lines extending from the top of the eye but with a little space between.
Location: Right Forearm

"Richard! Over here." said a man wearing khaki pants and shirt. "Look at these markings." he said the a mna who came over. He pointed the flashlight on the wall and saw Hieroglyphics covering the walls. "Is there a way to decifer them?" he asked the man who had come over.
"Hmmm... I've been to Egypt many times, but these are different. The ones in Egypt represented people and animals. Things we could decifer. But this, they are just lines. Curving all over the place, and symbols to the likes I've never seen." Richard then scratched his graying beard and continued. "We'd have to bring pictures back and see if there is a way to analyze this." He then reached over and touched the hieroglyphics making the single one he touchec glow a faint blue color. Soon the others began to glow and the entrance had closed behind them.
"What?!"
"Damn! A trap?" Richard exclaimed and the temple began to make grumbling noises. Soon the noise stopped and the colors faded away only to be shot out of the top of the temple and spread across the world in an instant. A flash of light occured within the temple and the archeologists covered their eyes.
"Richard!" the one man shouted. "What's going on?!"
"Ugh... I-" then before he could finish responded, the sound of chains grew louder. It counded like the chains were moving around, but couldn't get away. They then saw the silhouette of a giant beast with spikes protruding from every direction and giant chains linking it's arms and legs to the central room of the temple. Before they knew it, black tendrils came out of its body and dragged the men to it. Eventrually, they were erased from the Earth...

The Next Day...
(Japan)
A young boy, living in Japan, woke up and rubbed his eyes. That's right! Today is the best day ever! My birthday! he thought as he cleared out all of the gunk from his eyes and opened them. He looked around and smiled. "Colors..." he then got out of the bed and walked over to the mirror and waved at himself, only to stop halfway through and notice a wierd mark on his hand. It was glowing a dim gray color and Taro looked at it confused. Did I get a tattoo? No. he said as he went and touched it with his pointer and middle finger. The glowing ceased and his mind was filled with flashing images or the Beast and the dim gray color. When he came to, everything around him was nothing but shades of gray. What...? he though to himself, scared, but also laughing on the inside. He believed it to be a "birthday joke" but it was a very clever one. Little did he know, this was no joke.

The first thing that Elena Williams thought when she woke up that particular morning was something along the lines of: Today's going to be a horrible day. No, it wasn't because the weather was worse than abysmal (which was actually particularly perfect, blue skies and all), nor was it because of the idea of going to school (which was, also, not true; she randomly had 'days off'). No, Elena was ticked off and grumpy because her gigantic stuffed cow that she hugged to sleep every night had magically disappeared the day before. Okay, sure, that's usually not enough of a reason to get upset (and bawl over); but she had also accidentally cut the back of her right elbow in desperation while trying to find her beloved cow. After that a stream of blood had erupted from her arm, later which resulted in much cursing and a horrible cleanup in the dead of the night. This injury forced Elena to have to forfeit a tennis match she was supposed to be playing in, also effectively knocking her out of any and all tournaments for the next couple months.

Well, Elena wouldn't be playing tennis for a long, long time anyway, but what did she know?

Anyhow, Elena was relatively pissed off as she dragged her feet across her room, out the door and into the bathroom of her apartment. A bathroom that was a complete mess from her cut the day before, the floor and counter covered with tissues, bandages and red splotches everywhere. Elena let out an audible sigh and dumped everything on the counter into a convenient trash bin (effectively ignoring the floor), before grabbing a fresh large band-aid from a drawer. She effectively ripped off the previous band-aid (which was brittle with dried blood), then gracefully stared at what appeared to be a green tattoo as seen through the mirror. The heck? When did I ever get a tattoo? What is this, a joke? Forgetting about how impossible it was for anyone to see a tattoo under dried blood, Elena carefully touched the mark with her index finger.

And then almost fell over at the sudden image of a strange chained Beast, shadowed by still-shot images of herself 'creating' a blade out of a car's frame. Almost as abruptly the images flew away, and Elena was back to herself. The hell? Steadying herself on the counter, Elena shook her head and went through her morning routine all the while thinking of what had just happened. Sighing, she grabbed her ipod and began walking to a park, thinking that whatever just happened was just a dream.

Waite woke up feeling extremely pissed. Grabbing her alarm clock which was letting loose an insistant high, whiny ring, she hurled it across the room with satisfaction. After showering and getting dressed, Waite headed to the kitchen to grab a bite before leaving. As she opened the cabinet to get a pack of instant coffee, she noticed the glowing.... thing on the table. As she leaned in closer, she realized it was a sickle, the kind used to harvest wheat. Or decapitate people. Or gouge out their eyes and squish them into jelly... yech. She gagged at the thought. I swear, I'll never go drinking in a singles bar ever again, she thought as she picked the weapon up. It was yellow, but it didn't look like it was painted. It looked like it was made of the color yellow, some how. She picked it up and turned it around in her hand, marveling at the object. As she did so, she noticed something black scribbled on her hand. Upon closer inspection, it turned out to be an X.
"Bloody bars," she muttered as she went to the sink to scrub it off. The ink seemed to be resilient to soap, and to make matters worse, she felt a sharp, burning pain shoot through her arm. Sighing, she left the tattoo where it was and headed off to work.

Waite browsed the web, clicking on every single link that looked like it could even be of slight interest. Scandals, score reports, the latest standings on football teams, and paparazzi.
She heard the ding of e-mail and switched over to the work web browser. The page loaded half way, then returned an error screen. Impatient, Waite began to twirl a pencil through her fingers. She messed up and the pencil shot from her hand, imbedding itself into the office divider. Waite gasped.
"What the hell?" Came a voice from the other side of the wall.
"I'm SO sorry David." Waite said, awestruck in wonder. The pencil had punctured clear through the wall, stopping three inches in.
"Shitty piece of cardboard," he muttered, and went back to his work. Waite snapped the pencil in half and pulled both ends out, and looked a the hole. There was a sheet of metal sandwiched in there.

(Richmond, Virginia)

The sleep she'd had was oddly deeper than usual. For one who only got a few hours a night, she'd slept in a bit later than she often did. But of course, catching up on much needed sleep was not exactly a good thing...

Larune raced out of the bathroom, hobbling on one leg as she tugged wildly on the nude hosiery along her legs, pulling it up to the garters and hooking it before dropping down to turn her race into a two-legged one. Fast, she zipped through her duplex, rushing down the stairs with her circular spectacles crooked upon her distressed features. All she could think was that she was late, and she had to get out and be to VCU within a matter of minutes. Down the narrow oak stairwell, she spun outwards into the living room and headed to the kitchen. There, she dropped the pair of black Mary Jane heels in her hand to the floor, stepping into them while her now freed hands lurched out to the counter. One banana-nut muffin in the wrapper tucked into her chocolate leather purse. Then she grabbed the small coffee pot which had been set to turn on and make coffee for her two hours prior. The still hot, steaming dark liquid spilled in a rich flow into a thermal mug, before she mixed in creamer and sugar, and screwed the top onto it. Grabbing it, and putting it on the counter, Larune would turn sharply, her long dark sienna hair tied into a long knee-length braid swinging around her limber curvaceous form. Her teeth captured her barely glossed lower lip as she moved to the hanger on the back door of her duplex, pulling off the long white lab coat for her Cognitive Psychology class, pushing her arms through it and rolling up the golden-embroidered cuffs. On the left breast was the tag "L. Nazana : Psych Assistant".

Once the coat was on, and her feet ducked into her shoes, everything else followed up rather smoothly. She moved through the kitchen gracefully and quick, missing the overflowing bowl of Purina One kitten chow, and grabbing her coffee as she went. With haste and no second-thoughts, she danced out of her duplex, locking the door with the key jingled next to her car's on the ring she'd withdrawn in her path's progression. The sidewallk outside was small but welcoming, as her heels clicked madly on the concrete as she made the mental note to see if Josef next door would mow her grass for fifteen bucks again. It was getting a bit overgrown, she'd quirked to herself, as she slid into the driver's seat of the silver Porsche her Aunt had given her. Classy, nice, and expensive; though material things meant nothing to her which was odd considering she had the money to get quite a few of them but often refrained. If she wanted, she could've lived somewhere a lot nicer than the quaint little double-home in the city.

With the car cranked and the engine purring, her coat tucked under her and glasses straightened, she'd take off towards her destination through the late morning traffic towards VCU where she'd slip into the classroom she worked in...

~: : : : : : :~

The door swung open, a heaved breath first heard in its archway as Larune peered inwards at the classroom. The students- all mostly her own age or just a tad younger- were gathered, and seated. Professor Roux was already standing in the front of the room, a slightly bushy salt-and-pepper brow raised at Larune's 'entrance'.

"I'm sorry, my alarm must not have gone off this morning." She said in a soft song-like tone, her full bow-shaped lips pursed in hopes that he wouldn't be mad. But with a smile cracking through that leathery hard expression, the Professor laughed and so did some of the students. With a raised of his hand, protruding in a weathered, detailed manner through the dark navy blue and underlying white of his undershirt and jacket's cuffs, he'd wave her in.

"Come Ms. Nazana, you're fine. Sleep well?" He jested in a deep, rasped tone that was light and airy no less, almost fatherly.

"Yes sir." She said, before looking to him. With a grin, Professor Roux would turn and grab a book, leaning back to hold it out to her. Shutting the door in her wake, Larune would wander further inwards until she had at last come up to him. "Thank you Professor." She said, a bit more ease evident. But when she'd thought all was well, something new struck her. As nimble and slender digits outstretched and wrapped around the bind of the book he'd held out for her, she seemed to freeze. Eyes widened, dark gray hues like thoughtful storm clouds within the frames of her thick lashes and little bit of feminine eyeliner. Then, the book slipped from her weak grip, seeming almost to move in slow motion before thudding heavily against the floor, like the sound of the liberty bell in her mind.

"Ms. Nazana? Ms. Nazana?... Larune?!" The Professor called as students jumped from their seats. She'd no idea she was falling, as her mind was locked in a moment of flooding. But Professor Roux reached out, hooking his arm around her back and mid-section, catching her. "Larune?!"

"Hm?" She said, blinking as she stared up at him through her glasses. Her head slowly lolled over to the side then, her braid falling along the floor as she saw the book. "Oh, oops." Reaching out, Larune gripped the book once more and stood, shaking her head as she sat it on the edge of the desk. "My apologies, just, got lost for a moment. But I think I've read that book before." She smiled, staring up at him as if nothing had happened. One by one, the few standing students sat back down.

The Professor quirked his head to the side, a slight curious cant as he raised a brow and crossed his arms in deep thought.

"But Ms. Nazana, that book was preordered. I have one of the first editions mailed to the college, and outside of the school system, the book has yet to reach the shelves..."

"Death" moved silently through the large compound, his silenced Desert Eagle pistol held loosely at his side. To a passing person it would appear as if he didn't know what he was doing with the weapon, but to any other person who knew weapons and people they could tell that no matter how he held his gun you would be dead before you realized it. At this very moment he was in the mansion on a very rich leader of the Yakuza. He had been hired by a rival member of the gang to take out this man so he could take his place. The reason for the killing mattered very little to him, all that mattered was that he got payed.
Approaching a side door he heard light moans escaping through the cracked window. Peering in Brock saw an old man with a young girl, she couldn't have been a day over seventeen. Connected to her arm was an IV of some kind which Brock assumed was a drug making the teen this willing. But it was none of his business, this man wasn't the target. Opening the door silently he slowly made his way threw the room to the main hall of the manor.
The intel said that at this time of day he is usually getting ready for a day at the sauna... Brock thought as he made his way up to the mans bedroom. Pulling a tool out of his pocket he slipped it under the door so he could see what was on the other side. The man was sitting on his bed and pulling socks on, just finishing getting ready for his day. Brock pushed the door open slowly and aimed his gun at the Yakuza.
"Ah, I was waiting for you, 'Death'." He said as he motioned his hand and two thugs appeared along with the man who had hired him, all with guns trained on him.
"You all just made the biggest mistake of your life..." Brock hissed under his breath loud enough for them to hear.
"I think it is you who is going to die here. And I will be known as the man that killed 'Dea-" The man never finished his sentence, a bullet hissed through the air and collided with his skull spreading brains across the back wall.
"I didn't even see him mo-" One of the thugs started to say until a bullet flew into his mouth and out the back of his neck. By this time the other two reacted and started returning fire, but the human brain doesn't react well when frightened. The shots flew wide allowing Brock to plant another bullet in the last of the thugs head, leaving only the man that had 'Hired' him. The man managed to get off a lucky shot that grazed the top part of Brock's right arm. Brock ducked behind a door, allowing the man time to escape out of the other door in the room.
Brock lifted his hand and put it on the wound to stop the flow of blood. As his hand connected with the flesh on his arm images started flooding into his mind. Images of a temple and a great beast appeared in his mind, along with images of him traveling into shadows and coming out of them. After what seemed like hours but was surely only a minute at most the images stopped and Brock took his hand away from his arm. "What. The. Fuck." He said out loud, forgetting his usual manners. Shaking his head he moved out the door and went after the man that had betrayed him.
Forgetting about subtlety Brock charged out of the front door, just in time to see the man pull out of the driveway. Looking around Brock spotted a motorcycle and jumped on it taking off after the man. Catching up to him quickly he shot the rear window out of the car and with one other shot hit the man in the back of the head. "No one betrays me and lives..." He said as he looked around to see where he was, he was in front of a couple of houses.
Hopefully no one saw me, He thought as he spun the motorcycle around and started driving toward the airport. Those people were lucky; he didn't kill people unless they got in his way, or he was hired to.

(Rome, Georgia)

The name of the place was the Top Hat, where William Page both lived and worked. A few decades back it had been a shop of some kind, he wanted to say crafts, but he really didn't know. What he did know when he bought it was that it was a large building with plenty of room, and it was set in what he thought of as a perfect spot for a restaurant to be. It was in the downtown area of the city, where all the fun places where, where everything happened, but it was just far enough out of the center of all that for a regular customer base to form. It was four stories tall, and painted black, making it seem like some sort of ghost among the other old buildings. He served his customers on the first floor, had the kitchen on the second, storage on the third, and lived on the fourth.

Today, however, he wished he were dead. This is because the night before he had been downstairs, drinking with a few friends who were having a party. Something about passing their finals at one of the local collages, he hadn't caught the full story, only that it was cause enough for them to all get so drunk they could no longer stand. Personally, he'd come up to his room at around three in the morning, and let his night staff handle the clean up.

"How can my head be hurting this badly and I not have a massive head wound?" Will asks himself, quietly, as he places his hands to his head and slowly sits up. Mercifully the blinds were closed to the outside world, and the lights were out as well. "How did I get up here anyway? Oh well..."

Slowly he gets to his feet, keeping his hands clamped to his head for fear that, if he does not, it will split in half or explode, or something worse that he was too tired to think up just then. In the bathroom he flips on the overhead light and winces, leaning over the sink, keeping his eyes shut, his hands on the counter. When he looks up at last, into the mirror, he notices something on his head, then begins to curse, believing the eye surrounded by flames to be a tattoo he got when he was drunk. But before he can think about it too much, he get another feeling in his head, and suddenly he begins to see pictures. Two men in some dark place, some sort of monster hidden within the shadows...then a sudden flash of light, and then everything goes dark orange and he nearly falls back, just catching himself, sitting down on the edge of the tub.

"Okay Will, that's it...no more drinking, ever," he mutters to himself, keeping his eyes shut.

Re: [OOC] Colors of a Prism

Alright, I was working on a post, but i lost all the progress i had on it so I'll try and think up of something. Didn't have much down. I'm trying to find a way for my character to leave his house without anyone noticing and trying to figure out what the message'll say. Anyone can post now anything that happens before the message if they want. Alpha left btb so we don't have to wait on him.

Re: [OOC] Colors of a Prism

Same here, I'm waiting for Hirochi to post too. Feels like rp's dying...

Re: [OOC] Colors of a Prism

Hey, are people still posting? I'm just waiting for the creator to post again before I go.

Re: [OOC] Colors of a Prism

I did lol. I limited the abilities for each color to one a piece, and i changed the abilities to make em more balanced, like you asked. Look it over again :)

Also... I'm late... again. Apologies...

Re: [OOC] Colors of a Prism

That's fine, but I believe you still need to fix your character?

Re: [OOC] Colors of a Prism

Sorry I'm a little slow in making my first post, Hirochi (in this and the Bleach rp lol). I'll make sure to get em up sometime this morning. Been dealing with issues in my own rp.

Re: [OOC] Colors of a Prism

Hah hah, I added locations so please post in those, I know I messed up on my first post, but it was also in 2 different locations so you can't really blame me.

Re: [OOC] Colors of a Prism

First post is up! We may begin, but we have not recieved the message yet so your intro should be you figuring out your powers and such.

Re: [OOC] Colors of a Prism

Sorry, I had to sit and spam around to make ten forum posts before it showed up. I'm PM'ing you now lol.

Re: [OOC] Colors of a Prism

hah hah, that makes sense as to why I ahevn't got a PM yet. Well under my name over there ------->
There should be a little PM box. just click that and send me the message! :3~

Re: [OOC] Colors of a Prism

I know I must be extremely slow, but I submitted a character sheet, and I cannot figure out how to PM Hirochi with my color power set. >>"
-new kid-

Re: [OOC] Colors of a Prism

From here on out whenever you submit your character sheet do not include the power of your color on it. Just list the color and location etc, and list the color for equipment if you have it. Then PM Hirochi the power of your color on yourself and equipment for him to approve.
This is to prevent people from knowing exactly what the other characters can do and try to make a power that prevents the use of theirs or works well against them.
Again this is coming straight from Hirochi himself so don't argue.

Re: [OOC] Colors of a Prism

Character added. I know that his offensive abilities might be a bit much, so let me know if you want me to change it.
