| Physical Description |
Elwood is rash man with energy to fuel a nation. He is a twenty-two year old that acts as if he was fifteen. The first attribute strangers usually notice is his height, standing at six feet four inches. His height gives him the advantage of being able to look down on others with his mischievous sky blue eyes. Elwood's hair is blonde, bleached by the sun due to his infatuation with the outdoors. His skin is a warm tanned tone due to this as well, and he rarely burns or has tan lines. The sun also brought out a light dusting of freckles across his nose, only truly visible after a day outdoors.

Elwood's frame leans on the skinny side, but his entire body is covered in lean muscle. He is wiry and agile, and his long fingers are covered in calluses from his years of mechanical and engineering work. On the left side of his neck is a tattoo, the letters inked in thick black and standing out prominently. They read OX423, his regiments number in the military. Elwood has a strong jaw, prominent cheek bones and slightly sunken in eyes. He has thick blonde eyebrows that are difficult to see on his tanned skin.

Elwood's clothes reveal his earlier position amongst the armed forces. He wears a military jacket with a high color. His regiments number is stitched into the breast pocket, along with his last name. He rolls the sleeves up to his elbows, which reveals the deep red lining of the jacket. He wears a simple white shirt underneath, sometimes opting for a white tank in the hotter months.Elwood wears matching cargo pants to go with the military jacket, and military boots laced up-tight. He also wears a camo bandana on his forehead occasionally, usually while he is working but often times he forgets its there. Elwood does not often change his clothes, opting to wear them until they are too dirty to wear any longer rather then simply buy new ones. He gets too dirty to think of changing or buying expensive clothes all the time.

"Like what you see?"

❝On the inside❞

Image| Weapon(s) | Everything you could imagine. Rifles, snipers, pistols, machine guns, assault rifles, battle rifles, shotguns, sub-machine guns, grenades, bombs, long swords, broad swords, short swords, daggers, rapiers, claymores, battle axes, maces, and so on.
"Basically, don't mess with me."

| Powers | When most people look at Elwood, they do not realize the massive amount of intellect he holds. His power is just that; his mind can see how other things work without even knowing it. He can look at a clock and see all the bolts, gears, and tiny screws that make the thing tick. He can look at a gun and pull apart all the different parts in his mind, seeing what can not be seen on the outside. It is not x-ray vision, but more of a major intellectual knowledge that allows him to work through machinery. This same power also allows him to see more of a person then most; he can read what makes them 'tick'. Elwood can not see into a persons body, but into the part of a person that makes them run, their brain. Just like machinery, living creatures have pieces that make up their soul; likes, dislikes, emotions, the things that make them them. With a glanced, Elwood can pull these things out of a person, sometimes appearing to be able to see into a persons mind.
) "Really, whats scarier then not being able to hide your soul from someone that can build a gun in under five minutes?"

| Personality | WIP
"You sure do ask a lot of questions..."

| History |
Terian and Joseria met while Terian was stationed in one of the impoverished cities of Misato. Joseria was a red-headed beautiful nurse working in the hospital when Terian was brought in after a group of kids pulled a knife on him while he was on patrol. He was apart of the military, but often gave his free time to the less wealthy cities in order to help them cut down on crime. Terian fell in love with the young nurse instantly and there combined beauty made them a perfect young couple. He proposed to her only three months after they met and together the moved to Terians military provided home in the central city.
Terian would often be called from their home for missions with his platoons in far off countries, leaving Joseria alone for long months. She found work were she could to entertain herself, but with the high-ranking position her husband had earned it was not necessary to have another income.

After being together for five years the couple began to loose hope in ever conceiving a child. When Joseria finally became pregnant, they were overjoyed. But the little girl did not make it past her first week in the world. After the child's death, Terian began to go on longer and longer missions. Their relationship was strained and neither knew how to fix it.
After months away, Terian returned to find Joseria with a child in her arms. The little boy had a mop of sun bright yellow hair and sky blue eyes, his energy akin to that of a tornado. Joseria pleaded with her husband to keep the boy, explaining how the two year old toddler had been found grimy and crying, wandering the streets at night. Joseria had instantly fell in love with the little ray of sunshine, but waited for her husband to return before officially adopting the boy.

At first, Terian was wary of the lad, but after a week he also fell for the boy. He was a little bundle of energy, his wildness and excitement contagious even to the seasoned soldier. The couple signed the documents that Sunday, and little Elwood Meratah joined their family.
Terian stayed home more often, going on trips with his son and showing him how to use a gun from a young age. When his father was gone, he helped his mother with her weaving and sewing, sometimes just sitting and reading to her. It soon became apparent that Elwood was gifted, his intellect much higher then the other kids in his public school. When Terian began teaching his son some simple mechanics, the little kid picked it up faster then the full-grown men Terian trained. Elwood began creating things, tiny robots and elaborate pranks that he pulled on his class mates.

When Elwood turned 16, he was already surpassing his father. He could create mechanical miracles that the soldier could not begin to understand. His teachers treated him with caution, confused and somewhat afraid by his intellect. Elwood was teased, ridiculed, and embarrassed on a daily basis by the other kids who did not understand.
After a rather nasty bully attack that left him with a couple bruised ribs and a black eye, Terian began to teach him how to fight. He was already skilled at weapons, but he needed to be able to defend himself if need be.
Joseria insisted they move him to a new school and Elwood began an elite academy for gifted students. But, by his own distinction and to avoid the embarrassment his IQ had created at the last school, Elwood began to downplay his smarts and act as the class clown. He now was no longer the teacher’s pet and would spend hours in the principles office discussing how his test scores were so high but his class work seemed to be the result of a 2 year old. He began to use his looks to get away with things, which he never did before. Elwood grew cocky, rude, and arrogant, the exact opposite that he had been raised to be.

Elwood's attitude carried with him beyond the school walls and he can to created military grade weapons in secret. Gangs from the impoverished cities of Misato would buy his homemade bombs, swords, and pistols, and he would turn a blind eye to the death and murder he caused. His parents were at a loss for what to do with him, having lost the connection they had with their son that had made them all so close before.
Terians answer was boot-camp and while Joseria fought the idea at first, she soon realized some action needed to be taken before the arms-dealing there son thought was so secret attracted the attention of the government. Elwood was sent away and his parents did not have contact with him for a year. He refused to write them or answer their phone calls, leaving them in the dark. He hated it at first, but soon Elwood actually began to respect the duty that the military was teaching him. It was only his ego and childish stubbornness that stopped him from contacting his parents.

Then, Colourless hit. Elwood had graduated from boot camp, met with his division platoon, and was sent home for a two day visit before he was to be deployed. His mother had been volunteering at the hospital, trying to use her old nursing skills to help the dying, when she caught the deadly virus. Elwood was home long enough to watch his mother die without being able to do anything about it.

Both him and his father were sent to different cities in Misato after the death of the King two months after the first initial outbreak. The surviving government fought for control, the chaos and fear spreading to the streets as more and more people fell victim. The devastation of losing his mother was forced to the back of his mind as he was ordered to kill civilians that tried to enter the hospitals and tear-gas massive crowds of panicking families.

Three months later, Elwood received a letter of his fathers death as well, fallen victim to the CV.

With both his parents gone, Elwood lost his will to live, but was forced to go through the motions of a military life as the world slowly fell apart around him. He tried to make it worthwhile; hoping to make his parents proud in whatever place their sole resided in now.

Four months later, he caught the virus as well and welcomed it with open arms. The attitude he gained when he was 16 had left him with no real friends except for his platoon, who were slowly being whittled away as well.
The virus acted fast and painful, leaving him in a sweaty mess in the military quarantined rooms. He was not cared for but left alone to the ten hours of misery you experience until you die. Elwood prayed to his parents, hoping beyond hope to see them, even though in the back of his mind he knew that the death he had caused could never allow him to be where the kind and loving souls of his mother and father now reside.
On the tenth hour, Elwood drew his last breath. His once beautiful eyes were a dull, lifeless blue, staring unblinkingly upward amongst pale skin and sunken cheekbones. The nurses came in with HAZMAT suits to remove his body, and suddenly a miracle occurred.

Elwood took in a shuddering breath, a glowing wave blooming from his irises of beautiful Kelly green. The soft glow spread to his cheeks, returning his skin to the sun kissed tan he has sported since childhood. Color spread to his dull grey hair, casting it back to the bright blonde. The nurses screamed, staring as the corpse drew shuddering air in and out of its reanimated lounges. Elwood let out a hoarse yell, sitting up instantly with wide green eyes that faded back to the sky blue he was born with.

The nurses ran, escaping to the massive safety doors of the quarantine room. Instantly, Elwood knew he had to get out there. The bodies of other dying soldiers in hospital beds lined the hall, making the room look more like a morgue then a place of healing. The walls were windowless, the only light coming from dull bulbes hanging from the ceiling. Elwood looked towards the safety door, his eyes gazing upon the mechanical masterpiece designed to withstand a bomb. Staring at it, his blue eyes began to glow a soft green...allowing him to truly see. In his mind, he pulled apart the various nuts and bolts and sheets of metal until he could completely understand the door like he had built it himself. He sprinted to it, his bare feet slapping against the bare floor as his open back hospital gown flapped behind him. He ran his hand across the metal, his mind pulling the door apart until he could pinpoint its weakness. With strength he did not know he possessed, Elwood punch in three spots along the doors frame and it gave a shuddering groan, falling backwards with a jaw-clenching shriek. The nurses screamed once more, an alarm sounding, but Elwood was gone before the armed guards arrived.
With the government in disarray, it was easy for Elwood to make his way back to his parent’s home. He holed himself up in the garage that he spent so much of his childhood in, discovering the extent of his new ability and seeing how far he could take it. He made weapons he could never have dreamed of before, even with the natural talents he had before his ‘rebirth’. His parents home soon turned into an armory of strange weapons, technology that did not exist beyond the walls of the seemingly normal house.

He kept the television on, watching while he built his masterpieces as the world outside frew worse and worse until this 'Eien' appeared and changed everything.
With the virus gone and the government re-established, Elwood began to venture outside his workshop. He discovered his ability stretched on to living beings and like the machinery he was so fond of he found he could pull apart others souls, seeing into their ‘inner workings’. He could see in his mind the love a woman had for her husband, or the death a murder had caused and his guilt towards it. The feelings terrified and overwhelmed Elwood, so he retreated back to his sanctuary.

Time went by and slowly he learned to control the ability so that he could turn it on and off around others. Things still leaked through, but for the most part he could stand being in crowded areas without knowing the deep secrets of others souls.
Elwood began to sell his weapons in secret, keeping the weapons from Eien and the Primes. He had no trust for the new rulers, not understanding how a virus that should have erased the human race suddenly was fixed. The weapons were his small way of fighting back…and making compensating for the mistakes he had made as a teenager. He only hoped that they helped to take him back to his parents when he finally passed on.

Carry On My Wayward Son - Kansas

Carry on my wayward son
There'll be peace when you are done
Lay your weary head to rest
Don't you cry no more
Once I rose above the noise and confusion
Just to get a glimpse beyond this illusion
I was soaring ever higher
But I flew too high
Though my eyes could see I still was a blind man
Though my mind could think I still was a mad man
I hear the voices when I'm dreaming
I can hear them say
{Carry on my wayward son
There'll be peace when you are done
Lay your weary head to rest
Don't you cry no more
Masquerading as a man with a reason
My charade is the event of the season
And if I claim to be a wise man, well
It surely means that I don't know
On a stormy sea of moving emotion
Tossed about I'm like a ship on the ocean
I set a course for winds of fortune
But I hear the voices say
Carry on my wayward son
There'll be peace when you are done
Lay your weary head to rest
Don't you cry no more
No!
Carry on, you will always remember
Carry on, nothing equals the splendor
Now your life's no longer empty
Surely heaven waits for you
Carry on my wayward son
There'll be peace when you are done
Lay your weary head to rest
Don't you cry no more
