Ugh...Do I have to go to school? Blaine thought to himself as he slapped his alarm clock to shut it off. The green letters read 7:45 a.m. SHIT! he thought to himself as he jumped out of bed and grabbed the nearest pair of clean (he hoped) jeans and a shirt from his closet. Blaine pulled his long dreadlocks into a loose ponytail and grabbed his backpack. If he was late to school again, he was going to be in big trouble. Like detention trouble. As he started up his motorcycle, he realized he hadn't left a message for his friends that morning.

Blaine shrugged, knowing the others would understand that he was usually late. He didn't like waking up early, and was on the weekends often the last one in the chat in the morning, but also the last to leave at night. He'd had a great conversation with ThatOneOddBall the night before, and he was kind of hoping the conversation would get him through the day.

Blaine pulled his motorcycle into his parking spot (luckily a good one for the school) and checked the time. Thank God... he muttered as he ran into the school and to his locker. He had two and a half minutes to get to his locker and get to class, which was across the school from his locker. He slammed his locker and skidded into his classroom right as the bell rang.

"Very nice entrance, Mr. Malcom," His teacher said in her normal monotone voice that he was used to by December. He hated science, and hated that he had to take it as a senior in high school. Blaine dropped into his seat in the back of the room and pulled out his phone. Blaine opened CHAT and started to type.

Oscar Wilde, famous Irish playwriter, poet, and novelist, once wrote that "only the dull are brilliant at breakfast." This, as a general rule, applies to one Miss Sawyer Wren until she has had her daily breakfast of eggs and a glass of apple juice. The only problem with this is the fact that, also as a general rule, Sawyer is not the most gifted in the elite art of waking up on time, and therefore rarely has the time, or energy, to make her way downstairs and try and cook something. On the increasingly frequent days in which she hasn't the resources to make eggs, she tends to satisfy herself with a granola bar and a cup of lukewarm -because she made it using the hottest setting from her tap water- tea. On such days, she is excessively thankful for living relatively close to the school, because it allows her those few extra minutes that can be a make-it or break-it for arriving before that wretched bell rings. Today, unfortunately, is one of those days, and an outside viewer would find a girl with unnatural, but somehow not out of place, red hair lying in bed and staring with a look of utter contempt at her alarm clock, which has been blasting a mix of Jazz and punk rock for the last twenty minutes. Actually, it's kind of surprising that no one in her household has come and told her to shut the thing off. Well, perhaps they have made such pleas, but were drowned out by the music. This is certainly the most likely explanation, and is only confirmed when her elder brother, Samuel, swings the door open and stares at her with an irate expression. "Can you please turn it down? We're trying to sleep," he says, the honesty found in the softness of his voice and the tired look in his eyes. Of course, he more often than not has tired eyes and a soft voice, these days.

Sawyer scoots herself up, revealing that she had fallen asleep in the clothes she had worn yesterday, a TARDIS shirt and black pants, and obligingly taps the alarm button to turn off the music. "Sorry 'bout that, Sammy," she says with a sleepy smile, placating the elder brother who merely shakes his head and walks away silently. As soon as he has left the room, she kind of rolls off of the bed and onto her feet, the act looking both energetic and reluctant at the same time. Everything she does seems to have some amount of animation to it, as though it is her goal to be constantly moving. Or perhaps she just doesn't feel comfortable sitting still, unless she is asleep. Even when sluggish, she seems to fidget, tapping her fingers against her thigh rapidly before making her way to the bathroom and showering. Knowing that she does have a slight time crunch, Sawyer rushes through the shower and is soon in her bedroom and dressed once more, wet red strands of hair sticking to her face as she shakes her head like a wet dog for the umpteenth time that morning, because the towel couldn't dry quite right and she doesn't like hair dryers. After she finishes up the last few tasks, like brushing her teeth and making one last effort to make her hair reasonably dry before messing it up with both hands, the girl is out the door, dropping her board and stepping on before pushing herself forward down the street. When it comes to actual travel, she prefers longboards over skateboards, and luckily hers can fit into the long bottom part of her locker, because it isn't too big.

The ride to school always refreshes her, and is part of the reason that she can look anything less than dead on her feet before lunch. There is a bit of a nip in the air, making her passingly grateful for the worn military-style jacket that she has on, which is thin but effective enough for her purposes. The girl rolls into school with time to spare, skating down the hallway until she is stopped by a teacher and has to hop off, giving them a sheepish smile before making her way to her locker, which requires going downstairs anyway, where she puts away her stuff and grabs a Chinese textbook for her first period class, which is, predictably, Chinese (Chinese 4, to be exact). It is one of those classes, at least at her school, that isn't as difficult as those not taking it tend to immediately assume. This is probably because the teacher underestimates the class's ability to absorb the language. Sawyer started it freshman year because she liked the look of the characters, and is actually decent with it- especially writing.

"老师早上好," (Laoshi zaoshang hao - Good morning teacher) Sawyer greets her instructor with a smile, tapping her her hand against her hip to a rhythm, as she seems to constantly do. She goes to her seat in the far left back and slides her backpack onto the chair to her right, because no one sits in that seat, though there is an occupied seat to her left- the owner of which has not yet arrived. Her camera, which up until now has been hanging in its usual place around her neck, is placed onto the desk in front of her with a gentle hand. The teacher announces from the front that today will be a study hall because she needs to review the projects that some of the students have prepared for a cultural assembly coming up. This is greeted by a thankful, but lazy, murmur from the class. Sawyer proceeds to pull out her phone and log onto CHAT. The first thing she notices is a message from ShadowWolf.

Have you ever seen that one Scooby Doo movie? The older one with the witch and the Hex sisters? That was my favorite movie as a little girl. My parents never understood why, and I didn't either, at least, not until I was around eleven years old. It was then that I realized that I wasn't like other little girls.

I was Wiccan.

I don't know why I'm telling you guys this. Maybe it's because I'm behind a screen. Maybe it's because I don't know you. But without you all looking at me with judgmental eyes, I'm able to tell you.

Anyways ...

@ShadowedWolf: You said you were in science class with Mrs. Bitch? That's funny. I go to school where the female science teacher is a bitch. I'm actually in her classroom right now.

Speaking of school, who else hates the preps?

After sending that mouthful of a message, Bianca lowered her iPhone and set it on her desk, lifting her eyes to the board.

Darwin? Again? This woman was obsessed ...

However, she could not call the woman weird.

That would be called hypocrisy, my dear Watson, and hypocrisy is futile.

A soft laugh erupted for her lip, painted a deep red with lipstick. Of course, she sat in the back of the room, at the far right table which held enough room for two people. Also, of course, she sat alone, for the teacher had once again placed her alone.

Ah, my dear Mrs. Johnsly, if only you knew how hypocritical you were acting by placing me alone in the back of the room.

Bianca lifted her hand to her face, one long, intricately painted nail absently scratching an itch on her cheek, before she allowed her chin to fall into the palm of her hand. Her black sleeve acted as a cushion, and she absently sucked on a sucker, scrolling through the past messages between her and the other CHAT members.

Of course, no one would pay attention to the smiling girl who sat in the back of the room. Or, as she was called at this school, the "Scary with with a bitch of an attitude who you need to avoid at all costs, if only to save some of your reputation that you may have."

"There's no reason to stereotype yourself. Doing math is like going to the gym - it's a workout for your brain and it makes you smarter." A quote Malcolm's father used far too often as he would ask his son what he is in school. A nerd or a Jock. To Malcolm that never mattered, he was him and that was that. Yet, his father would be a hypocrite and say stuff like that. Malcolm got to school early every single day. He'd get there and have an hour to do whatever he wants. He'd usually just go see the Coach and then head to Math class. Well, it was more of an advance placement math class, though he still got nearly perfect grades with the minus of a few homework assignments.

Today, Malcolm had a math test. So, he went and sat in the back of the class, as he always does, by his football buddies and sat back in his chair. He looked around and the math teacher was at her desk, not even looking over the class. She was probably fed up with all this nonsense and doesn't even give a fuck what the class is doing no more. So, as his football buddies talked in loud obnoxious voices about one of three things - either (1)girls asses, (2)girls boobs, or (3)t-bagging someone - Malcolm logged in to CHAT. CHAT, that's where he believes his real friends are.

Thanks for the greeting, QB! -.- haha jkjk. anywho, Odd, I love the Wicca stuff. I love the Odd. Also, who the hell cares about Darwin?! I'm so sick and tired of the same damn shit in this class! Patch, I would bring you something, but idk you for one and for two, everything I can cook takes a few hours, in which time you could probably go to McDonalds or something...

Blaine chuckled at his own message before hitting send. He liked his friends, and what did he care if he didn't have actual, tangible friends? Blaine was shocked by the noise of his teacher clearing her throat and saying, loudly, "Mr. Malcom! I asked you your opinion on the Aquatic Ape vs. Darwins theory of evolution."

Blaine cleared his throat. "Well Mrs. Johnsly, if the Aquatic Ape theory is true, then that means there's a possibility of mermaids, right? I personally follow Dr. Shawn Robertson and his research on mermaids," Blaine stood up and paced, turning to face his teacher, his dreadlocks falling freely from a ponytail. "If there are mermaids, I personally think that we should be studying them, not destroying them with Navy sonar!"

Mrs. Johnsly looked at him, eyes stern. "Sit down, Mr. Malcom," She ordered and Blaine slumped back into his seat, muttering about government conspiracies. Blaine flipped on his phone again and typed, quickly: DEATH TO GOVERNMENT! DEATH TO BIG BROTHER! STOP KILLING OUR OCEAN MAMMALS! sorry...my teacher just tried to make me agree with Darwin and I hate Darwin and don't follow typical teachings... Blaine groaned.

✍ FELIX MASTERBY
as LuckyMe

The very first thing Felix did in the morning was check his laptop. Even now he was still sitting there in his boxers, waiting for one of his friends to get online. It seemed they all probably lived in the same time zone as him, because most got off as similar times as well as got online at similar times as him. Of course he was up extremely early most days, but the others usually were up when he should have woken up.

Suddenly his computer made a noise, alerting him that someone had gotten online. LuckyMe: Morning my fellow freaks.
A few moments after sending this, he stood and began to get dressed. When he saw more people get online he sat back down, deciding clothes could wait a bit longer. LuckyMe: I'm skipping until lunch, going to work instead. /: Be back when I get there, don't miss me too much! <3

As promised, about a half hour later Felix had gotten to work and was bored enough to get out his Blackberry and sign back into CHAT. If his boss was there he probably would have gotten scolded, but the boss pretty much let him get away with anything and wouldn't have gone through with any threats dished out. Multiple times had she told him that she was going to find a replacement and fire him, and unless it was just that hard to find someone to replace him, she didn't really want to get rid of him. Besides, he was one of the only people that worked there that actually liked music. LuckyMe has joined CHAT For a few moments he stayed silent, catching up on all that he had missed while he was on his way to work. LuckyMe: Who missed me? ;)

Sawyer looks down at the phone in her lap, ignoring the textbook on her desk that she really should be studying but instead has been using in order to muffle the noise of her drumming against them with her sticks, practicing for a jazz band concert that is coming up next week. The text that pops up on the screen directly following her own message comes from ThatOneOddBall. It's certainly a lot more meaningful than her own trivial complaint about being hungry, and she finds herself staring at it for a moment before breaking out into a large smile, inwardly laughing at herself when she compares this revealing message to her own. More than that, it seems to be a sign of the group drawing even closer together than they have been, each person taking a step in towards the nucleus a bit more. If only we all went to the same school, or at least lived in the same city. Who knows- maybe we'll go to university together? Despite this optimistic thought, a concern weighs in the back of Sawyer's mind that she won't be able to go to university, having just barely scraped by in Early Admittance, and because her parents have been awfully strict about grades recently. Her C in Calculus isn't cutting it if she wants them to approve, after all. Sage was always the intelligent one, but Sawyer doesn't like to think about that too much.

That actually does sound really cool. Although, isn't it more of a religion than an actual practicing of magic? Gah, I'm probably wrong, though.
@QBNerd22345 Haha, well, I'd settle for burnt toast at this point. Can't you just cyberzap it over here? ;-P
@ShadowWolf Several hours? Do we have a gourmet chef on our hands?

She looks back up to see the rest of the class absorbed in random chatter and the like. The usual whispers are spreading, though she abstains from them. Sawyer is unfortunate enough to have somehow managed to never make friends with the people in this class, despite having been in class with them for four years now. She can't help but overhear their gossip and chatter. "That's waaaay too much homework," "Bianca? You mean that freaky girl? I hear she..." "Ohmigod, Isn't he the cutest, though? I'm totally gonna hook up with Malcolm at the next party, sweartogod," The chatter covers far more topics, of course, but Sawyer is saved by a rather enthusiastic message from ShadowWolf.

Yikes. Sounds like a blast. I envy you not. ^_^; My science teacher is pretty lax, but I've heard there are a few. . .interesting ones at my school as well. Every school has them, y'know?
@LuckyMe: We were waiting with bated breath, naturally. I must now take a moment to compose my beating heart from the sight of that winky face. XD

Sawyer smirks at the text and then goes back to drumming against her Chinese textbook, twirling the sticks between her fingers smoothly before changing the beat to a song that the jazz band isn't playing, but that she has had stuck in her head for what seems like forever.

With her textbook, she propped it up so as to hide her cell phone behind it. Her face was mostly hidden as well, her eyes barely peaking over the top of it's bind.

Her phone thrummed in her hands, but before she could read it, Mrs. Johnsly chose that moment to call on another student in her class and snap out a question at him. She wasn't exactly positive, but was almost certain that his name was Blaine-something-or-other. With his dread-locks and tan skin, he looked like a mixture between a Native American off-spring, and a pirate of sorts.

With that thought in mind, she forced down a bubble of laughter, her eyes gleaming with it nonetheless. He had a valid point, for she, too, believed in the Aquatic Ape Theory.

At least there are some intelligent people still alive, she thought sarcastically.

After Blaine returned to his seat, her phone thrummed again, and she flipped to the CHAT icon on her screen. What she saw caused her brows to furrow, and she shot a look at Blaine.

It couldn't be.

The twist in her gut and the pinch in her chest told her that it was. This feeling ... She only ever had it occur when she was right about something.

But it couldn't be.

Despite her gut feeling that he was, indeed, ShadowedWolf, she pushed the thoughts from her mind and typed in a quick reply to the rapidly firing responses she had received.

@QB It's a bit more complicated then just 'spells and stuff', but yeah ... It's pretty cool lol

With a narrowed gaze and a thoughtful expression, she continued her reply.

@Shadow What's your input on the Aquatic Input Theory? Jw. @Patches You're sorta right. It's a religion, but we also practice magic and believe in reincarnation and the such. You and I should have a one-on-one talk about it sometime! @Shadow Mind cooking me some food sometime? I love free food! @Lucky I died a little inside every second that you were gone, and was mystically healed when you returned :P

A small giggle burst from her lips, and faces of surprise turned to look at her, the girl who rarely spoke, let alone giggled. She herself was shocked. She just giggled, for goodness sake! She giggled! She hid further behind her book and locked on it, but it was too late.

Mrs. Johnsly had already singled her out.

"Ms. Esmelet! Care you explain your views on the Aquatic Ape vs. Darwin theory?" she snapped, her eyes flashing, "Seeing as you seem to see something as hilariously funny."

Bianca slowly looked around the classroom, unaccustomed to being pointed out, let alone in class. After a heartbeat, she drew in a deep breath and sighed it out as she rose, her book flattened over her phone.

"I would have to say that I agree with Blaine. I believe in the Aquatic Ape theory, and that is that. Instead of discouraging our beliefs in something that is a theory and could still be proven as a law, perhaps you should encourage us, and not use sarcastic, snarky remarks in return to an answer to a question that you asked of us," she said, her voice ever-cool and ever-calm. She left her classmates stunned yet impressed, and Mrs. Johnsly stood with her mouth slightly agape, opened marker drooping in her hand.

With a crimson-red flush in her face, she whipped around to face the board, and furiously began to scribble a diagram of the levels of evolution upon the whiteboard.

With a smirk, Bianca lifted her textbook and flipped on her phone.

Nothing better then leaving your teacher speechless when you have a perfectly good point! Score one for the Wiccan!

Blaine was speechless, staring at the girl he'd always, literally always , had a crush on. She was...different. She didn't care what everyone thought. Blaine almost died when she spoke exactly what he was thinking. Holy. Shit. he thought to himself as she sent the last message, the one about leaving the teacher speechless.

ShadowedWolf has requested a private chat with ThatOneOddBall flashed across the screen. Quickly, Blaine also replied to the others. yeah, kinda a gourmet...I like to cook, and I kinda have ta cook for myself since my rents aren't veggie lovers like me! DOWN WITH ANIMAL MURDER...lol jkjk if you like meat I won't hold it against you ;D...@Lucky, brah, you know I miss our freaky conversations that make other people leave! he sent the message in the group chat before moving on to the private message he was typing to OddBall.

So...you're in my science class? BTW, aquatic apes/mermaids are real. Blaine hit send before the regret of it could really set in.

✍ FELIX MASTERBY
as LuckyMe34789

Obviously, Felix wished he could complain about work. But it really wasn't that bad, considering it allowed him to skip half the school day most of the time, and he really only had to do any work when customers came in- which wasn't that often anymore. Turns out actual music stores just weren't all that popular anymore, oh well. It gave him more time to just sit and relax, even as he complained about being bored and about stupid Apple making their stupid iPods and iPhones and iPads. He knew that recently, the boss had let most of her workers go because they weren't getting much business. Of course, he could only be thankful to learn that he was one of the ones that were allowed to stay. Unfortunately, most of the others couldn't say the same. Sitting up, he left his phone on the counter and moved away from it to fetch a guitar from one of the stands. When he got back, he placed it on his lap and took a moment to read what he had missed while going on his mental tirade. Immediately he groaned, seeing a full screen of new messages. Eventually he sat up though, and clicked the computer screen in front of him on so that he could access CHAT on there.

@PatchesMcGoo, You guys better not get used to it; not just anyone gets the winky face. :P @BlingBlingBaby, Finally! Someone who cares about my work. <3 I'm in love, come marry me oh-great-one.

Alright, so it seemed sometimes even he could be odder than ThatOneOddBall. Though he liked to think it didn't matter, considering that he had joined the little community of CHAT awhile ago, and they hadn't made a move to kick him out yet. At times he found himself holding back things he wanted to say though, unsure if he should test this new found friendship he had with all of them. It didn't matter though, because he still knew that right now he had not only one, but five other people there for him when he really needed it.

@ThatOneOddBall, <3, we should seriously get together someday so you can teach me some of that Wiccan stuff. Seems mighty freaking awesome. @ShadowedWolf, XD! I'm thinking we might want to start bringing those conversations to private chat, can't have all our friends leaving us. </3

It seemed there was only one person that didn't die a little inside while he was gone, and Felix was certainly not going to miss the chance to play with him. Without thinking about it, he typed out one more quick message to the other boy. One of the main reasons Felix was called Lucky was because he had extremely good luck almost all the time, but he was also very lucky in other departments.

@QBNerd, I see you're the only one that doesn't miss me </3 Is this about last night? You don't have to be shy, I promised to keep that our little secret, :P

After spending time taking his math test, Malcolm was checking the messages on CHAT. Now, he wouldn't call the people weird, but they were weird nonetheless. All of them were weird somehow and had their times. But when stuff started turning to religion and stuff like that, Malcolm backed up a bit. He just didn't like getting into religion. He either didn't believe that stuff or he didn't know what to believe. Most of the time it was just he didn't believe, period.

Before he had a chance to keep up with the conversation, a bunch of responses were being sent nonstop. He didn't even have a chance to say anything. His football friends in front of him starting talking to him about stuff he really didn't care about. "Hey Malcolm, you coming to the party Friday?", one of them asked. Malcolm really didn't like going to parties, but he was always dragged to them. So, to respond Malcolm just shrugged and went back to looking at his phone. The football players started talking about the usual stuff they talk about and Malcolm started a response to his real friends.

@Patches haha I don't think it works like that haha,

Before Malcolm could hit send, a few more messages were sent and then a rather weird one from LuckyMe34789. Malcolm, being as smart as he is, could tell he was just trying to play with him a little. So, with a smile on his face, Malcolm decided to play along.

@LuckyMe, shhh! No one's suppose to know about that!

Send. Malcolm almost burst into laughter as he sent the message, his football buddies looking at him weirdly then. "So, you gonna come?" one of them said, almost begging. Letting out an annoyed sigh, Malcolm said "Yeah, sure."

Being forced by football buddies to go to party on Friday -_- I don't like popular people...

@ThatOneOddBall Sounds like a plan to me :-) I love learning about that kind of stuff, actually- as long as I don't have to sit still while doing it. @ShadowWolf I tend to fend for myself with eggs and grilled cheese, because I mess up everything else. Cooking is def. not my superpower. xD @BlingBling Welcome back! An accurate word, but it does tend to look a bit better from behind a lens, at least.

Sawyer glances over towards the ticking clock, which seems to be dragging on, despite the fact that class is simultaneously speeding by, thanks to the distraction of her fellow CHAT users. She had found the sight at school, actually, after getting a lunch detention for trying to break up a fight and, in the act, breaking another kid's skateboard. Well, he had deserved it- she hates it when kids pick on the freshies, after all. Luckily, no one thinks much of it because Sawyer, while not necessarily popular, is known around school well enough. She's the sort of drifter who can sit at most lunch tables without a problem, and can go to parties without being laughed at. Not an athlete or a prep, but deemed reasonable cool by enough people to get by. It helps that she likes to paint nails, a hobby more girlish than what one might expect out of her, and this draws the attention of some girls from the top of the food chain, who enlist her to paint things like sunsets and miniature cartoons on their nails. It keeps her afloat in the political mess that is High School, anyway. She glances at ThatOneOddBall's message of victory and laughs softly, drawing a few brief glances before everyone turns their attention back to whatever they have been doing.

Huzzah! Stickin' it to the man, then? Keeping points, I see. 10 for Ravenclaw! Or whatever house, I guess. @LuckyMe Aw, shucks, and you gave a winky face to lil' ole me? I'm honored @ShadowWolf Well, that's what happens when you guys make my brain implode from brilliant strangeness.

The clock continues to tick on, timing the minutes until the bell rings and Sawyer can leave for her English class. Of course, after that is Lunch, then Jazz Band, Photography, Calculus, and a day ended with AP art. If it weren't for Calculus, she would have adored her afternoon schedule, but as it is she dreads it slightly. Still, she couldn't exactly not take it- she had to have all the required credits, and even schools she had applied to might have raised their eyebrows at a schedule that seems to hint at senioritis. The weather outside is stunning, and this only makes her antsier for the school day to be over, or at least for lunch to come along- that way she can go eat outside or something. Even in photography, she can at least opt to somehow incorporate going outdoors into her project, and make it out of these caging walls. As it is, though, she is doomed to wait- at least for now.

@QB And that is all that is wrong with the world- the lack of food transportalizers. @Luckyme What? You guys didn't invite us?

The teacher glances over at Sawyer sharply, asking something in a strict tone. She's asking if Sawyer is on her phone right now, because she doesn't like students to be on their phones during study hall. Sawyer takes on a look of complete innocence, shaking her head and saying that she doesn't have her phone for the moment. Surprisingly easily placated, the teacher turns back towards the scrawny kid she's working with right now. The coast clear, the girl looks back to her phone.

@QB Sorry to break it to you, buddy, but from what you've said, I'm afraid you might be one of them.

The first step is admitting you have a problem. :-)

Malcolm smiled as he looked at the message. He admitted to himself a long time ago that he had a crush on a girl at his school, but part of him has a crush on this girl, this girl he's only ever talked to on CHAT. It was weird, but he always figured he'll never meet this people in real life, so he just does what he thinks. That's it, no really thinking or anything just doing.

I have a problem.

Send. He smiled and gave a small laugh as he sent the message. He really did have a problem though, being a nerdy football player and being popular, which he knew he was. He hated it though. He'd always been friends with the outsiders and the nerds when he was younger. But as he got older, he lost contact with them because of football practice. And then there was baseball practice and soccer practice. They eventually just stopped talking because the football players dragged him along every where.

First step completed. What's step two? :) @Patches

Malcolm was actually smiling, a big goofy smile to be exact, when he sent that. The football players and a few cheerleaders looking at him like he was crazy. Maybe just a smidge. He thought to himself.

@LuckyMe Only always. (; It is set. We shall be married. @Patches I never thought to look at it that way before...interesting...@ThatOneOddBall Shake whatcha momma gave ya. ;D @LuckyMe @QBNerd Alright, which one of you is pregnant?

Andrea hit 'send' and smiled to herself. Her teacher must have seen, because the plump 60 year old slapped her yardstick on the child's desk and screamed at her. "Mlle Bonaparte! Répétez tout ce que j'ai dit dans les cinq dernières minutes de classe. Allez," the teacher barked. (Miss Bonaparte! Repeat everything I Said in the last five minutes of class. Go.)

The eighteen year old sighed and shook her head, not even bothering to make something up. "Miss," she started. "I don't--"

Her teacher slammed her yardstick once more and screamed. ""Peut-être que vous ne devriez pas payer attention dans cette classe-là. Peut-être que vous devriez être des SMS à la place. Je viens ici tous les jours pour vous enseigner cette langue idiots et les plus que vous pourriez faire si l'attention de salaire. N'avez-vous pas la décence de ne pas payer attention?"

When the teacher regained her posture, all the students pulled out their phones and their fingers started dancing against keys and screens.

"WHAT ARE YOU ALL DOING?" the elder screamed. Barely anyone looked up, and Andrea smiled.

"Well, thank you for permitting us to not pay attention and turn to technology," she started laughing right in Mrs. Brall's face. With that, she returned to her phone and typed quickly to her friends.

Then she started scrolling through past messages.

My French teacher doesn't know the language well enough to yell at my class, let alone teach us. I'm wondering who gave her a job here...slapping her yardstick on the desk and what-not like she's a nun...

@QBNerd Try to have fun at that party! After all, you'll be surrounded by people of your own kind. (: congratulations on taking the first step though. You're making great progress with @Patches. Speaking of which, @Patches. Fear not, everyone is invited! A grand celebration it shall be.

Send. Glancing at the clock, Andrea realized the first period was almost over. She managed to catch bits of information here and there from her teacher, who had to be talking basically to herself.

Bianca let out a soft laugh as she viewed the responses that she had gained. The usual idle chatter that often occurred in class finally penetrated her little world, and she cocked her head to the side, her tongue pressing into her cheek.

"Malcom? Yeah, he's hot, but he's kinda a dork ..." "Did you hear about the fish at lunch? Rumor is ..." "I hear Andrea's parents are ..." "Jennifer was ..." "I can't believe that Blaine really ..." "Wow, Bianca has balls. Like, serious balls ..."

She snorted and flipped open her phone.

Warning: Bitches. Bitches everywhere.

@Lucky I gladly would! When and where, my delightfully awkward friend of mine? We can compare notes and veg out on junk food! lol

@QB At least you have friends to go to a party with, so stop whining. If you don't like them, then why be friends with them? I don't mean to be offensive, but I truly do hate frauds, such as people who pretend to be friends with people that they in actuality can barely stand

@Patch Ravenclaw sounds great to me! Power to the creatives! And you can join Lucky and me and we can have our own little party

@Bling Oh I do so love you darling! Shall we compare notes on how to enrage all teachers? Perhaps you can successfully piss off your French teacher! :P

A pop-up startled Bianca so fiercely that she nearly fell from her chair.

Private CHAT invite from: ShadowedWolf

She cast a glance up at Blaine and chewed on her lower lip. It was quite possible that he really was the one she had been talking to ... Did she dare accept the private invitation?

After a moment's hesitation, she clicked Accept

What he said surprised her, but only the last part, for she had half expected him to grill her on everything that they had revealed through the chat. Instead, it was a simple question of her being in his class, and an equally-simple statement of mermaids and the Aquatic Ape Theory.

If you're Blaine, then yes, yes I am. As for the Aquatic Apes and Mermaids vs Darwin, I believe in the first, instead of the latter. Is there something wrong with my being in your class?

Yeah, and you're Bianca. Aquatic apes/Mermaids are pretty much my obsession right now. Blaine flipped back to the main chat and looked at everything. Dudes. Bitches be trippin. I hate this school. I can't wait to open my own tattoo shop in SoCal... After he hit send, he realized that he'd never told them his plan of becoming a tattoo artist.

Blaine looked up and noticed some people staring at him. Instead of his normal response of just looking away, he jumped up from his seat suddenly and let out a yell. Three girls screamed, two fell out of their seats, and one guy actually jacked him in the face out of fright. Blaine responded by jumping over the table and grabbing the guy by the collar.

After holding him for a second, he dropped him. His teacher looked like she wanted to protest but didn't know what to say. Blaine, on the other hand, just left the room. It wasn't until two minutes later that the bell rang. By that time, Blaine was already at his next class.

Blaine sent out another message: I. HATE. PEOPLE. Oh, and BlingBling, I missed your spoiled butt!

@BlingBlingBaby, Just give me a time and place, I'll be there. ;) I shouldn't tell you this but I guess since we're going to be married... It's QB. o: It was his idea << @QBNerd, Sorry love, seems our secret is out.

You can head to school, if you want. Felix flipped around to see the boss standing a few feet away, wearing a smile as she read the messages on the screen. LuckyMe, huh? One day that luck of yours is going to run out, then what're you going to do? She only tsked her tongue, moving off to rearrange some things on a shelf. For a moment, the teenager just stared at the messages on the screen, not quite sure what to do. Then his gaze flicked towards the little clock in the corner and he frowned. Turns out if he left right about then, he could make it to school in time for second period math- fabulous.

The music shop isn't pulling in any business, turns out I won't be missing math class today. ;-; Pray for me you guys!

Five minutes later and he was packed up and out the door. His motorcycle was parked just outside, and it didn't take long for him to be on it and back onto the rode. Before the first period bell even rang he was pulling into the parking lot, and by the time students started filling the hallway he was pulling his things out of his locker and shoving them into a monster drawstring bag. By the time the second bell rang he was sitting in the back of the math room and pulling his phone back out so he could sign back onto CHAT.

Blaine was tired of being looked at for his tattoos and dread locks. Tired of being looked at because he was different. So what? He rode a beat up motorcycle that barely started on a daily basis, he didn't have a car, and he was...out there. So what?

I'm tired of being looked at when I breathe at the wrong times. Oh wait! To everyone in this godforsaken school, anytime I breathe is the wrong time. He hit send and looked at the message, sighing. I'm sorry, Bee, I shouldn't have blown up at you like that...you didn't deserve it. I have severe anger management issues...

Blaine remembered Bianca going by Bee when they were in grade school. He smirked at the use of the old name, something she'd probably hate. Blaine went back to the main chat, scanned over it, and decided not to reply. Instead, he went to his art class. He was designing a chest piece and a back piece that went with his two sleeves.

As she walked towards her class, she flipped open her phone and studied the message. Her heartstrings tugged. Here was a person who was one of her best friends in elementary and middle school, who was also having a hard time in school. She felt helpless in this situation, so with no other thought of what she could do in mind, she instead figured that she could at least be there for him.

The old nickname caused a grin to rise to her lips.

I can put a hex on them for you!

She smiled and looked up as she entered her class. Of course, Latin was one of her favorites, for more Wiccan books and writings were in Latin. She lowered herself into her seat - in the back of the room, as per norm for her - and flipped out her phone again.

Oh God, that name? I haven't heard that in ages! That used to piss me off to no end, and now you're going to start it again? Psh, jerk! :P

Sawyer finds herself smiling once more at the CHAT, this time at QBNerd22345's willingness to play along. He has been like this for as long as she has been on the chat, and it never ceases to make her smile- none of them do, really. Of course, she is known to be a rather energetic, fairly cheerful, person regardless, so maybe this has less to do with them and more to do with her. The point of the matter is that these people, these anonymous users, make her happy. Chatting with them makes it easier to smile when even the mighty Sawyer Wren can't force a smile on her face without help, and for that she is infinitely grateful for these people whom she has never before met in her life. If only we could meet, she thinks wistfully, before waving away the thought because she knows it to be fruitless- at least for now. Maybe in the future, as her previously disclosed wishes have described, but for now they must remain separated by untold distance and digital screens.

@QB Hm. They never got that far in medical school, unfortunately. I'm forced to assume that the next step is to be completely reformed, and to write a song or an autobiography or something. Better get on that ;-)

Her smile likely rivals the goofiness of Malcom's, though she does not know this, but the girl is lucky enough to not be thought strange for this. Seemingly spontaneous smiles are just 'Sawyer being Sawyer' or something like that.

@BlingBling You should try purchasing a camera- being able to separate them from their environment or capture a single moment is actually really enlightening. Well, probably xD Maybe she is a nun- is your actual secret that you go to an all girls' catholic school? No one parties harder than the preacher's daughter, and all that jazz? XD Hey, I'll play the music for the affair. I don't quite know if my patient will be ready, yet. It seems a poor choice to bring the reformed popular to any sort of party, I think. Poor soul- he's making such progress ^_^

@ThatOneOddBall Suddenly I'm feeling popular! A party and a wedding? Busy busy busy. ;-) I'll see if I can squeeze you two peasants in xD @LuckyMe th-

Before she can finish typing in her message, the Chinese teacher is standing over Sawyer, looking tired and disappointed. She isn't a bad teacher or anything, in fact she's really nice, though she sometimes doesn't fully get American culture, having moved here only a few years ago, but there has been a spike in the amount of cellphones in her classroom, because people don't take her seriously. She's been getting stricter to combat this. The teacher extends a hand and Sawyer, head slightly ducked so that she doesn't have to look her in the eye, sets the phone on her palm, where it is immediately shut off. The girl with the vibrant hair hates to disappoint people, and slowly pulls her Chinese book closer to go over the tones.

"You can come and get this during lunch. I expected better," the teacher says with a sigh, walking back to her desk and dropping the phone into a drawer. And then the bell rang, so students shuffled out of first period and towards their next class.

Blaine actually laughed out loud at her statement, getting him several odd looks from the people in his art class. Blaine, the guy who never spoke, who sat doodling whatever project their teacher gave them, who despised group projects and always scowled, had laughed. Some people around him also laughed uncomfortably, not sure how to respond, to which Blaine smiled. SMILED! Which was also exceedingly rare.

I'd never intentionally piss you off, OddBall. You know that. Blaine smiled. He'd admitted his internet crush long before he knew she was also his real crush, and she had just blown him off like he was joking, even though Blaine didn't joke...often. He joked with guys, and he joked about himself, but not his emotions.

Blaine remembered when he and Bianca had been inseparable. From about second grade until they were in eight grade, Beeny and Bee were kind of like Thelma and Louise. Inseparable and best friends. Blaine didn't quite remember what had happened, but that was okay. He liked that they were talking again. So...my art class thinks I'm insane because I actually laughed. *gasp* the world must be ending! I have a sense of humor! :P

God forbid you actually laugh! Somebody call 911, we gotta badass over here! And shut up, you go out of your way to irritate me, so don't even start ... :P <3

She had to admit, she had missed Blaine ... Terribly. They had been attached at the hip from second to eighth grade. It was her fault that they stopped being friends. Being the easily influenced young girl she had, who was just entering the eighth grade, she allowed 'popular' people to trick her into believing that Blaine wasn't actually her friend, but instead was using her as a joke and only pretending to like her.

It had broken her heart to believe that.

He had recently admitted that he had a crush on her, but that was online, before he knew who she was. Now, though? Perhaps he wanted to be her friend again.

God, she hoped so.

She hoped so badly that he did.

I'm going insane with boredom, Beeny. Come dance into my classroom and do something crazy ... Come dance shirtless! Haha :P Jk, don't do that ... But I bet it would be extremely yummy, so don't be offended o.o Just ... I'll just shut up now! ><

@OddBall Amen. It's like they never stop multiplying. & Why, we certainly shall! Teach me your ways and I will be able to!

@Shadow You're not alone! &I missed you too! Besides hating peopling, how ya doin' buddy?(:

@Patches I really should get a camera. You can come teach me how to find the beauty and see things for how they really are! Trust me, she's faaaar from a nun, and I'm faaaar from being in an all girls' catholic school. Christ would have to help me get through that! Too many females in one place that don't care enough to shower or clean themselves since guys aren't around. Plus, half would probably talk about the Bible nonstop, but the other half would be the party animals. It does seem as if preacher's daughters party the hardest. ;D Oh dear, it's quite alright. Play your little heart out! Lastly, I think he will be ready. He's a fighter.

@LuckyMe Drats. The possibilities are endless! We don't we go somewhere very classy? Say...the local street corner? 3:00 A.M. Don't be late.(;

@QBNerd o: How exciting! I wish you the best luck popping that sucker out!

The bell rang just as Andrea let a laugh escape. It was amazing how her friends in CHAT could make her so happy all the time. They were always joking around, and even when they weren't they were just great to talk to. What was better than that?

Andrea gathered her items and made her way out of the French classroom and headed to her next subject, Anatomy. She seriously dreaded this class. It was such a bore! Not to mention, the teacher was like a hawk and never stopped staring with his big eyes. The thought of her Anatomy teacher, Mr. Cleaver, made her shudder. He was frightening. She was just grateful that after Anatomy she had English. After English followed Lunch, History, Calculus, then Study Hall. Her favorite two periods were Lunch and Study Hall because she sat there on her phone. What was better than that? Plus, the fact that her 4th period was lunch was good for her!

Reaching the next class, she took a moment to stop outside and type a quick response in the chat.

@LuckyMe Nah, nothing special. You just missed the usual. We traveled around the world at the speed of light and saved a village of tiny people while our galaxy was being sucked into a black hole. After we were victorious, we stopped by a restaurant and got some grub. So nothing special.

Ugh, time for Anatomy. Wish me luck with Mr. Hawk! Be on later.(:

Blaine flushed a light red when she said the thing about him going shirtless. He remembered the first day that Bianca hadn't sat with him at lunch. It had been a God-awful day. Instead of having his trusted side kick to keep the bullies/populars away, Blaine had been instantly surrounded by jocks and bullies, who beat on him until he could barely breathe. Then, they had done the unspeakable. They'd cut his dreadlocks. His precious hair had been chopped with rough edges and at uneven lengths. Had they gotten in trouble? No, Blaine had for "egging them on."

The boy shuddered at the thought, subconsciously touching his dreadlocks and sighing when he discovered that they were still there, still as long as ever. Blaine raised his hand and asked to use the rest room, which his teacher allowed. He stood, walking toward the Latin rooms and eventually finding Bianca's room. Look out the door :P he sent to her wile he made stupid faces in the window and danced like a moron.

The bell rang and Malcolm was off to the next class. English. Personally, Malcolm didn't like English. The teacher hated him in there and he wasn't much of a writer, though that was mostly because of the topics. Plus that's the class he gets picked on a lot about being a atheist. It's not like it's his fault he doesn't believe in no almighty god. So, Malcolm sat there in math for a moment with his football player pals. He checked CHAT one last time and decided to make a few quick responses.

@OddBall you're right. It's not my football pals I don't like though, I grew up with them...sorta

@Patches okay, time to start my new life as a reformed person & go write a song! XD

@LuckyMe nice...aw well they were gonna find out anyways haha

@BlingBling yeah I'll have as much horribly hurting fun as I possibly can haha

Malcolm smiled to himself as he sent the message. That's when Mr. Laggar kicked them all out of his room and he was forced to go to English.

Well, heading to English, aka the home of my torment on atheism -_- wish me luck...

Malcolm placed his phone in his pocket as he walked into English class and made his way to the back. All the while, students were hitting the back of his legs with bibles. Bibles. There was no fellow jocks in his English class. His English class was mostly full of bible loving, over the top, strict Christians and Catholics. He sat down in the very back of the class and a person from the Christians and a person from the Catholics came over and started saying prayers and stuff like save this poor soul. Malcolm just opened his notebook and began doing his assignment.
