| Personality |
Madeline is usually seen as childish. Her attention span is similar to that of one, as well as her attitude towards things. She isnā€™t the most optimistic person, but sheā€™ll speak like one. Even if inside her head sheā€™s thinking ā€œOh, thatā€™s terrible,ā€ sheā€™ll be saying, ā€œAww, thatā€™s alright.ā€ Although she is someone who seems very naĆÆve, she isnā€™t the trusting type. Her body language is usually different from her true opinions about somebody. She may come off as innocent or annoying, but on the inside she actual judges everything and everyone, even herself for that matter. Madeline hides the fact that sheā€™s a very insecure person. Because she never received affection from her family she craves what she never had. Itā€™s also the reason she likes physical affection; she feels lost without knowing someoneā€™s there. To her, actions like hugging and clutching onto someone is her form of security.

| Bio |
Madeline could be considered as one of the more fortunate children of Consequence. Born outside of the slums and in the more prestige half of the city, the ā€˜Surfaceā€™, she is believed to have led a more privileged life. Life for her was ā€˜normalā€™, as her parents were the overprotective type that kept the outside world a secret to her. Unfortunately what most people didnā€™t know was that her life was not normal at all.

Yes, she received food, shelter, and clothing. Things that those in the slums couldnā€™t have, but her father was a strange man, far from normal. Part of military personnel, he had an estranged will to train his daughter. Due to the Biometric Signature he wasnā€™t able to get her to operate guns, but he made sure she knew how to operate them. Once she was old enough to grip a knife, her training began. Every day it was the same routine: fight and train. She wasnā€™t allowed to question the reasons why, she learned to simply obey. The older she got and the more she improved, the more elaborate methods her father wanted to see her attempt.

After graduating from immobile scarecrows and whatever living things they could find in their backyard, it escalated to stray animals. From there, her father started rounding up residents of the slums and bringing her to watch them die. At first she was only forced to watch. Soon enough she was the one doing the killing. In the beginning she cut them while they were tied up and bound. Her father changed it so that he would set them free in a confined room, where it became a game of predator and prey. Many victims died by her blade, and one day her prey proved too strong for her. Her father who had taken safety precautions to keep her safe was also taken by surprise and wasnā€™t able to provide any assistance. Her survival instinct kicked in, and the moment the prey grabbed her, an electric shock ran from her body to his, electrocuting him. Madeline was terrified of her ability. Her father on the other hand, was ecstatic. Within a minute she felt a nagging need to fulfill a task. She shuffled over to the burnt out body, removed his shoes, and flipped them over. From then on her father started to bring her out to the slums when he knew military men were likely to be off duty. Once again she was forced to play predator and prey, but now the entire slums had become her playground.

On a certain night, on the usual weekly run of her fatherā€™s ā€˜gameā€™, her prey was surprisingly agile. She hated the game, really. However she had been trained by her father to obey him. It was probably something that most did not understand. Despite being under no obligation to listen to him, she would, no matter what, because thatā€™s how she had been raised. Even if it meant killing people for his ā€˜funā€™. Instead of striking the prey, she mistaked her father for the preyā€™s shadow. Within seconds of electrocution, her father was gone. She was terrified. She couldnā€™t go back, they could ask too many questions. Rose quickly hunted down her prey, making sure there was no one who knew of her little ā€˜gameā€™. Since that day she has been forcing herself to get used to life in the slums.

So begins...

A young woman lightly tread her way through the Core District in her black heel boots. A black umbrella was resting on her shoulder and was being twirled from time to time, twisting the remnants of the previous rainfall off. Dressed in black tights, black jacket and a white blouse, she was a rather neutral entity on the streets. That is, if it were not for her abnormally coloured hair. Under the umbrella soft long locks of pink cascaded down her back and bounced with each step taken.

Today Madeline was, once again, exploring the Core. After spending a couple years in the shack and then several years after working her way into the core district, she was looking for another place to stay. The slums were too heavily guarded by the military and she wanted the freedom to roam without any of them accidentally finding out who she was if she was ever taken into custody. Even just outside of Shack Town, military troops still heavily patrolled the area. Over the years as she gained more confidence she started making her way away from the military district and the slums.

She made money off part time jobs she acquired here and there. It wasn't good pay, but it was usually enough to scrape by. During times she needed more money she turned to her father's old past time: the hunting game. Making sure to conceal her easily identifiable hair, she would attack any stray military men. She didn't kill them if she didn't have to. All she wanted were their wallets. Most of them were rendered simply unconscious and when they did wake up, they were likely to be too ashamed to admit they were attacked and robbed; by a woman, no less. However her attacks on the military were few, knowing it was too risky to overdo it. Her alternative for the hunting game was to take up requests by people in the city. Madeline tended to make excuses for what she did, always trying to find a justifiable reason for playing this 'game'. She refused to take orders for children, crippled, and possibly innocent, only for those who seemed to have a good enough reason to be targeted, whether it be murder, abuse, or something of the sort.

Walking by 'Double Shots' she contemplated getting a drink. She sighed, knowing she didn't have the luxury of getting drunk tonight. Though that never took many shots, it would still cost at least another few day's work. Or I could just go 'hunt' tonight... She thought to herself. Shaking her head and thought away she lightly hit her own skull for even suggesting that. 'Hunting' just to get drunk? I must have sunken really low. Her internal discussion was interrupted by the sound of breaking glass coming from above. In the building on the other side of the street she looked up to see a broken window.

"Strange..." She mumbled. Hearing a loud and obnoxious sounding voice she looked down the street. There she caught sight of two men and what looked like a young woman with long black hair. "Where'd that little bitch go?!" It's not like she was eavesdropping, his voice was just very well projected. Oh? He was looking for someone? Could it be that whatever crashed through that window was a person? She thought it over before declining the thought. No, that didn't seem very likely. On the other hand, she didn't anyone else nearby. Her blue eyes watched for a bit before she realized she was even staring. No, it wasn't good to stay. The man and his friend didn't look particularly friendly. She didn't want them to pick on her next and give them the excuse to say, "What are you looking at?" But she didn't want to walk by awkwardly either. Above all, she didn't want to leave the woman by herself with the strange overbearing man. Stuck deciding what to do, she simply turned into a small alleyway and hid there as she listened. If worst came to worst, she had her ability. The problem was, she didn't think that man would drop to the ground even if she used it. And if he didn't, she wouldn't be able to fulfill her dumb 'consequence', meaning she would be the one who'd end up dead.

She didn't know whether to laugh or sigh at the young woman's ridiculous fake. Suddenly, out of what seemed to be impossible luck the goon that was shouting at her fell into what seemed to be due to chest pains. This time, the men really did turn their attention away from the woman. The distraction had given her enough time to get a head start into the building with the shattered window. Some followed her while the others were preoccupied by another man on the street.

Oh? Why hadn't she noticed him earlier? He stood their motionless, as if he were a misplaced mannequin. Abruptly a very high frequency sound pierced through her ears. Madeline quickly plugged her ears with the balms of her fingers as she winced. Luckily, the sound didn't last very long and seemed to only shatter the glass from the building the the woman had just run into. Huh? The man had shattered glass all over him! Was he really a mannequin? Why wasn't he moving? Out of the blue he suddenly moved, exposing himself to the view of the goons. The name he uttered caught her attention. Bragga? That man was Bragga? Oh, why hadn't she noticed? Now she was really glad she hadn't decided to meddle with them. Soon enough, the man ran off into the same building. Just what was so special about that building. As if the area were attracting more people, she saw three more show up. Two red heads and one blue head dressed in very warm layers.

The new group didn't seem to be afraid of them at all. That was intriguing. Perhaps her hearing had been temporarily weakened by the high pitched sound, but she didn't notice that a man was behind her until he shouted, "Hey! What do we have here? A little mouse?" Instinctively she clicked the katana out of the umbrella but before she could yank it out he spun her around and shoved her against the wall, causing her to drop both the umbrella and the katana within it. "You friends with those little twerps who ran away?" He asked roughly. Madeline winced, feeling the strength of the overgrown man. "Answer me." He demanded with a shake. "I-I.." She said with a fake stutter. Then her lips curved into a smile. "No." She said curtly. Before the man could move another muscle, she had sent an electric shock through him. She watched as his body jolted and contracted for a few seconds before he dropped stiffly to the ground. Well, that's what they get for touching her. Deciding to make the best of her 'session' she targeted one more man who was just entering the building. She sent a shock wave to him and watched as he also crumpled to the floor. Pulling out her gloves from her jacket pocket she bent down and proceeded to untie the man's footwear. Ugh, she hated men's feet. Quickly pulling it off she flipped them over and placed them on the ground. She released a sigh of relief upon completion of her 'consequence'. Another smile crept onto her lips. She searched through the man's pockets, satisfied to find enough money to last her a week's ration of food if she spent it wisely. Then she picked up her umbrella and shoved her katana back into the tube before shutting the umbrella and resting it on her shoulder.

She stepped out of the alleyway, deciding it was safer than before. It was just Bragga and a few men now. Two were taken out her herself and a good number had followed the two people into the building. It didn't take much to knock them out either so as long as she avoided Bragga himself she assumed she would be fine. Anyway, there was always that strangely daring and confident group who had approached Bragga, so it's not like she would attract that much attention, right?
