Declarations of war. The thing many rulers fear, while others embrace it with a fire burning deep within their soul. Now that the Cosmos and all those who reside in it are under the threat of war, the two major sides have chosen to meet within one of their allied kingdoms. For the King, it was the Princess of Virgo who would host, while the Queen the Princess of Capricorn.

As for all those declared ‘neutral,’ many have highly advised them to consider a side; to at least look at those who are potentially arming against them - and consider those who are primarily around them. For while many prepare to depart, those who have not chosen to align themselves with a side still must choose if they need to call a meeting among themselves.

Once the war begins, no one will be safe. But for now, we turn to our stars that shine brightly in the skies of spring.

xxxx. THE PRINCESS OF SCORPIOxx.
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Those far-reaching eyes gazed at the endless sea of sand unraveled before her, the Princess of Scorpio, Sangreal. She had been informed that the King and Queen had summoned the rulers who had rallied to their side. It was an imminent move for them to do which also proved that they will be entering an era of war. As for her, she did not commit to any side and declared that Vanall Scorpio shall be in a state of neutrality. She would stand by that decision even if that had caused ire to the other sovereigns of the Cosmos.

"Serene Highness, if you wish to compromise. I do not think there would be anyone here to oppose your divine wisdom." She looked over her shoulder to meet the gaze of her Aegis, Zacarias. He is a Knight that would lay down his life for her, an exchange one would say of a noble deed, but to her opinion, it was not. "It is fine, Zacarias. My decision stands." She then realigned her sight to the scenery once more. This peace was something she desires to maintain and if possible be shared by the others. Yet again, they must all have the same wish, just a difference on how to accomplish it.

"Of course. Yet, I imagine we shall be consistently pressured to pledge allegiance. " There was truth in those words. She would not deny that, but there are things she must do. "I have been told by my predecessor that in diplomacy one must compromise whenever possible." She stepped away from the veranda and turned around to finally face Zacarias. "And whenever cannot, do not. Even if all say that wrong is right. Even if the world commands you to move." She placed her hand over her chest, the location where her emblem resides. "It is my duty to stand firm like a mountain, to look them in the eye and to say..." Her eyes resolute and unwavering. "No. You move."

Zacarias' looked at his Princess with surprise before he settled soon with a smile of admiration. "I am certainly no match against you, Serene Highness. You never waver and here I thought you are hesitating due to sadness." Beside her children, the only who would point out her feelings so openly is him alone. "I am sad. I would not deny that." The chaos shrouding the Cosmos was saddening in every angle. She walked passed Zacarias as she took her seat back in her study. In every article of her life, she must weigh always her choices. Duty must never be taken for granted, but it does not mean she had set aside any sentiments. "I do not want to see them be embroiled in such battles."

This was spoken out of a motherly concern. She indeed has seniority over them and had been living far longer they have. In that existence, she had seen many rulers rise and fall. Many of them were dear friends and thus, it translates for her to show care to the legacies they have left behind in their wake. That is why it pains her to see them to have a need to fight against each other. She could personally intervene, but that would be out of line as a Princess and as an Avatar. She also did not want to cloud the decisions of this generation. They are their own person and must act as they truly believed in.

"But, what is done is done." She took hold one of the documents on her desk. It was in regards to the defensive mechanisms put into place. As of now, she had announced to all tribal chiefs and shahs to strengthen their defenses. It had also been the same trend with the militia. They must be prepared to defend, but only that, never to incite aggression. She was also considering to announce that Vanall Scorpio shall be an open territory. In that way, passage and trade from both sides are acceptable as long as peace is uphold within the Kingdom. She was well-aware how other rulers viewed her stand as cowardice or even a show of indecisiveness. Yet, it is not that at all. She had decided and whatever the consequence it might be, she is willing to face it all.

"I have heard that Prince Cancer has sided with the King." She lowered the paper back to her desk and recalled the conversation she had before with Cikrik's ruler. "Yes, he did." Zacarias also remembered that sudden visit from the Prince, seeking immediate audience with the Princess. "I have believed he would not get himself into this war." That was a statement that she would agree on. It would have been a likely course if not due to a certain matter. The Cancer Prince might appear as brash as he is rude, yet he has talent for governance and a creative mind to propel progress. That is why she knew that the Prince Cancer has a reason, a strong one to participate in this sadness. "He has a reason that cannot be persuaded." Her eyes seemingly in a trance as she restored the memory of that audience within her head. "It is the same for the others. That is something I respect."

"That is true. As for Vanall Scorpio and I, we will stand by your side, Serene Highness." Zacarias gave him gentle smile as she nodded her head in acceptance of those words and appreciation. "Those words are truly too beautiful for me. Thank you." Her Aegis bowed before her as a gesture of both affection and submission. "Zacarias, your allegiance to me. I hope it would also be passed down to my children. I would have wanted them to not witness anymore such tragedies. That is sadly not permitted in the course the Cosmos is headed for." He had always been by the Princess' side ever since he had been bestowed the right and honor to be. The serene and dutiful ruler of Vanall Scorpio and the Avatar of the Holy Nil, she never once indulged herself except in the presence of her children. That is why he wanted to... "You need not speak of it. I shall always ensure their safety."

Those words eased her heart for a moment, but concern sprouted once more when a messenger requested to be in her presence and brought before her were two missives, bearing the insignia of the King and the Queen. This was expected and as for the contents, there was an absolute certainty that it would be in regards to the war. Zacarias watched the Princess who appeared pristine as ever. She had never once showed any outward revelation of panic or discord in her. It is probably why she had been an allure of mystery to everyone including her fellow rulers. In the end, she simply took both letters and said,

"May Nil always provide us her blessing."

She will never grow old or change her mind about the escape,Image

XXHuffing, the 'Prince' of Sagittarius roamed his grand halls with mild disdain for the events transpiring. War? Great. That would mean strengthening the defenses to stop any moron from trying to waltz in and demanding they side with anyone of the sort... but from what he was hearing early in the morning hours, it seemed like he was not the only one. No, in fact, it seemed like there were a few others in the same position...

XXBut there was in interesting thought that was flooding around closed doors, and Fayez was already taking advantage of the situation. Call it ego or pride, but this was one situation that... could just very well work out in the favor of what few natives existed outside the 'reserve'. His lips curled as sinister thoughts hummed throughout his brain. Seated at the meeting table, however, was already the entire family that sat patiently awaiting him. "My apologize, I was finishing reading the latest news of the situation. Quite troubling, is it not?"

XX His four wives nodded, though three out that number were... vocal about their thoughts. Asha and Rana were commonly siding with each other, with Naima being the voice of reason. Layla, however... Well, she was never one to be vocal about her true thoughts in front of the many children and creatures that roamed the grand room. "Yes. Though, Rana and I believe this is a great opportunity to turn the neutrals as a whole against that of both of them. Most are easily manipulated if you tell them what they'd want to hear. To Narina 'Hydra', a promise of peace and protection for his country. Elaine, a promise that no harm shall come to her people or land, and Sangreal will be able to keep that of a neutral stance while keeping her Kingdom safe. The general idea here is that they all want 'their' country to be safe." Asha announced, to which Rana seemed to nod along too.

XX"Manipulation is the primary target to this sort of situation. If we can get them all to revolt against them both, they might be able to convince allies as well. The woman warrior seems to be under contract as is, but there are ways to work around these sort of things." The tattooed vixen added on, a hand propping up her face.

XXWhile these were all valid comments, he looked over to his children. Nyla, seemed to be the only one actually paying attention, Nura, being out and about for her lessons. "Perhaps we should be a bit more open-minded, father and mothers. Send them invitations, invite them for a meeting and let them announce their own thoughts on the situation." The prophet motioned, to which Naima and Layla nodded with.

XXA sigh escaped the male's lips as he crossed his arms. "Fine. Send out a letter of invitation wishing to discuss a potential alliance with that for the self-proclaimed neutral countries, I'm not in the mood to write to these barbarians myself." He snapped, much to a cringe of a few. Storming out of the room, the demonic prince of chaos was biting his lip as he set servants with a wave of his hand to alert one of the underground cities to move to the surface city of Neheh. He'd take Nyla above with him, as well as Asha. The rest were at privilege to stay or go as needed, though he'd prefer the twins would stay as far away from these morons as possible. They were stupid enough.

xx.xx. THE PRINCESS OF SCORPIOxx.
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
There she was, the Princess Scorpio sitting comfortably within the confinements of the Sand Gardens. There was softness albeit, minimal and almost impossible to see, but one would expect it for she gazed at the playing figures of her children, Hope and Dream. Their lessons were over for the day and they requested to spend some time with the one they know as Mother, Sangreal. She did not hesitate to answer that and now, it was indeed a peaceful moment. The children were playing a game of tag as they scuttle around with big smiles.

She wanted that kind of image to last, yet there was no denying war was imminent. She remembered the contents of the letters from the King and Queen. They were direct in their demands much like how they are truly. Memories of younger days played within her head and gave her feeling of tenderness. Time is indeed a trial, whether one would come out better or worse. That is for history to judge. In any case, she had already sent her answer and it was an unwavering answer of neutrality. She would not participate in any aggressive maneuvers but would defend her kingdom if such actions are geared towards her dominion. Until then, trades and other activities shall resume as it had been with everyone, no exceptions.

"Mother." She returned her attention to the present as she met the blue eyes of her son. Behind him was Dream, peeking nervously at her. Did they do something that would warrant a scolding from her? "Yes, Hope. Dream. Is there something you two need?" The young boy nodded his head and stood with such a posture and one could see young wisdom in his eyes. "Yes. Me and Dream have heard of a war coming." Dream was behind Hope as she stepped away revealing herself completely. "We like you to know, don't worry about us! We'll be fine and we want to help you, Mommy!" Dream said with all sincerity and a bright smile. Then, the two of them handed her a flower, known to Vanall as Pulse. It symbolizes undying love, at the same time, a promise.

She took the offered Pulse as she placed it near to her nose to take in its scent reminiscent of gentle powdery evening. "Thank you." She then placed it on her lap before pulling her children into her embrace. It wasn't surprising they would know the upcoming war. They were a curious pair and it reminded her that despite their age, they were doing the best they could in being strong and brave. "Your words are my pillar." She then looked at their faces where they looked up at her with their smiles. "Would you do me a favor then?" She cradled their faces with her hands to each. They looked at her earnestly while nodding "I want you two to focus on your studies and do not worry about war. That is my duty. Be children and that alone would suffice my concern."

Hope and Dream looked at each other unsure if that was enough to show their support. She assured them with a kiss on their foreheads. "Please, my children." Hope had a light blush on his cheeks before taking a deep breath, as if calming himself. "I understand. We will do it. Right, Dream?" He looked at his sister who was quiet for a while and eventually nodded. "All right! We will!" She smiled brightly while giving a thumb's up. "We'll be the best children!"

At those words, her mask crumbled as a smile only for her children appeared. She wished to protect these moments, these emotions, and she wished it would be granted. After that, Hope and Dream continued playing as she joined them as best as she could and soon enough, she was tucking her children within their bedroom for an afternoon nap. "Watch over them, divine Nil." She said in a fervent whisper as she gave both children a kiss on their cheeks before leaving them to sleep in peace.

Once outside, she was met with brilliant green eyes. "Serene Highness, excuse my intrusion on your time with the children." It was none other but the Hand of Nil. "You are not intruding on anything, Lady Eloisha." She then gestured for the one who would govern all in her absence to follow her as she walked on. "To have your presence, I expect it is an important matter." There was not a hint of surprise or a sense of confusion in Sangreal's tone. "Yes, a letter from the Forsaken Lands." Sangreal stopped from her stride and looked at the letter which Eloisha was handing to her. She took it and began to read on the spot. Her expression revealed nothing as it remained placid.

"Lady Eloisha. I would require you to maintain order while I am gone." Eloisha understood. "Of course, Serene Highness. Though, may I ask?" Sangreal resumed her walk which Eloisha matched. "You are always free to do so." Eloisha then asked. "Would it truly be fine to have the Serene Highness enter the land that stands as an abomination to Nil?" Ah yes, the concern of the living dead hailing from the Forsaken Lands or more known as the Kingdom of Sagittarius. They defy the cycle, its effects only known to Sangreal or perhaps even to the one who claims the mark of the Archer.

"Your concern is warranted. However, I will go as the Princess Scorpio." Normally, she would have simply wrote a reply that she is not interested in such meetings. Her stand has not changed, yet Sagittarius had been a kingdom strongly linked to Cosmos' True Heritage and prided itself in isolation from everyone else. To have such an invitation for a conference, it raises certain triggers in her thoughts. It would be best to seek whether her ideas are accurate or a miss. "In our teachings, they would be an anomaly. Yet, they are a society beyond such boundaries. That alone deserves respect." She looked at Eloisha. "Nil is equal to all. In addition." She looked at the letter in her hand with the seal of Sagittarius. "It would be nice to meet someone around my age." Eloisha smiled at those words. It is true that the Avatar is known as the Eternal Ruler for her endless existence. So, it is nice to have her be with people who have similar longevity. "As you wish."

It didn't take long for the Princess and her entourage to begin their travel to Neheh, within Sagittarius' territory to the land of old time.
