Description

Image

Name - Lucas Drakstoy Arlon

Age - 19

Role - Cousin

Gender - Male

Weapons - RSASS custom rifle, AA22, steel Bō

Personality - Lucas is extremely easy-going and mostly carefree until it comes to work. When fighting 'monsters' he is calm and will figure out a plan on the spot. He is considerate of others and will not put others in harms way if he doesn't have too. He has average intelligence and if faced with something he doesn't know he will be modest and admit defeat.

Bio - Lucas had a normal life until age sixteen when he decided he didn't want to stay in New Hampshire with most of the members of his family. He got in his jeep with the clothes on his back and thirty dollars and never looked back. He made it to OakHill when he ran out of gas and money. He took a job as a shop keeper working for one of the residence. After a few months of happy work he was confronted along with the other towns people with the presence of 'monsters' since most of the humans didn't want to deal with their crimes they had been committing Lucas volunteered for the job. He brought the problem of crime down and helped the new residence settle in with the humans making the two groups almost one. Since then he has blended in as well and his northern accent has changed into a slightly southern.

Lucas woke up with the buzzing of an alarm clock. He picked up his desert eagle on the nightstand and shot the clock the glass not even moving but the clock was knocked back, but not turned off. "Damn it." he said then sat up with a yawn and turned off the ringing clock.

He went towards the bathroom and did his daily routine of getting ready. He dried himself off and went to his closet and pulled out his usual attire, a white T-Shirt under back jacket with a pair of blue jeans. He picked up the gun and slipped it into a holster on his hip then grabbed his rifle out of the closet.

It was a beautiful day outside, perfect for his cousin's first day out here. Lucas worried though thinking about how they would coupe if they found out the majority of the town's population was taken up by 'monsters'. Though most of them were being kept under good control for the most part but some still thought they could do whatever they want and don't fear the bullet. Lucas rolled his eyes at there remarks and the gesture would often leave one of the two dead and Lucas had never been killed yet...

Lucas sighed and walked out of his room rifle on his back and went into the hallway and knocked on Sumi and James' doors. 'wake up guys" he said then went downstairs and grabbed an apple off the counter before going outside and towards the towns limits. He sat on a rock and began to eat the fruit propping up the sniper rifle up against the rock while he ate, waiting for the two to arrive.

James was having a wonderful dream when a sudden knock at the door abruptly awoke him. He got up, looked around at his messy room, and thought, "So wait, we didn't drop Sumi off at the pound? Damn..." But he knew it was too good to be true, everything good that ever happened to him was too good to be true. Well, maybe that was just James' pessimistic morning attitude kicking in. He hopped out of his torn cot and stretched out his broad wings, since that would probably be the last time he would be able to stretch them out today. Apparently, Lucas' "normal" family was coming to stay for the summer, and he told us not to freak them out just yet. So he took out his cloth bandages and pressed down his wings to near disappearance. "Now what to do about the tail..." His tail was much more sensitive, God knows why, and just sticking it down his pants leg was not an option. So, he simply pulled the inconvienent thing around his waist like a belt, and put on one of his baggier t-shirts. After changing into his work jeans and putting on a fleece coat, he went to the mirror and looked at his slightly odd attire. "Eh, it'll do."

He slowly walked outside, groggy and constantly yawning, and started towards the meeting place. The town was quiet, just how he liked it, but with "fresh meat" coming to town, he knew this would not last. The Succubi would get restless, the shapeshifters might get curious, and the vampires would be getting hungry... Wait, do vampires even eat human flesh? James thought, not ever really thinking about it. Eh, they probably do. Seems like everyone here likes human... He walked up beside Lucas and said with a yawn, "So, in my honest and humble opinion, the kids probably won't last two days. One if Sumi is on her period."

Sumina had been up pretty early, her hair sprawled across the floor and a relaxed expression on her face as she did some yoga and read. Upside down. There she was, rested on her head, legs crossed above her, and a book in one hand that she held carefully in place and turned pages with a gentle push of her delicate nose. The knock on her door was a small reminder that she needed to get dressed into her daily attire. She finished her chapter and then slowly lowered her legs down, straightening out her night wear and then getting to her feet and changing her clothes anyway. She dressed into a black dress and ran a brush through her long white hair. That took quite a while, even when she was quick. She tied it up in a neat bow and then found her boots and slipped them on. She made her way down the stairs and went into the kitchen, picking up a small pot of berries and then walking to the door, slipping on her jacket and walking out the door.

Sumi was a little bit nervous in meeting the cousins. It wasn't like she was that great at socializing. She wanted to make a good first impression to them, let them know she'd protect them just as much as she protected Lucas. However, she also knew that Lucas didn't want the cousins to know about the fact that they were living in a 'monster' infested town. They'd find out eventually, but no need to panic them straight away. She noticed Lucas and... the bastard formally known as James, sitting by a rock and walked up beside them, still popping a few berries into her mouth. "Or if James feels somewhat attracted to the girl, maybe an hour." Sumi said, not looking at James but smiling to herself all the same.

Matilda sat up in her bed with a yawn, her hair a giant tangle of black silk, she stretched up to the ceiling with a smile on her face. She slide out from under the sheets and looked out the window of her cottage, Lucas was sitting on the rock eating an apple just outside her field. She smiled and blessed him with Luck for a Day. She grabbed a pale orange dress with a white cardigan and a pair of brown boots, she went to the bathroom got washed and put her clothes on. She slid down the bannister and went into the kitchen and grabbed a pomegranate. She skipped across the field, eating the fruit in her hand and stopped just behind Lucas and the rock. "Helloooo!" She said, her voice sweet and warm, with a large smile on her face, her hands behind her back.

Oh great, the watchdog is here. James did not particularly hate Sumi, at first he even tried being friends with her. Well, at least he planned to, but when Lucas introduced him to her she immediately lunged at him in wolf form. Luckily, Lucas was able to pry off the rabid beast that was Sumi, but James still gets chills from that encounter. Well, James and Sumi probably would not have gotten along anyways, not with their conflicting ideals. Sumi was, well, like a dog. Caring, respectful, protectful, has a good sense of justice... On the other hand, James was a total renegade. Although he was not particularly evil, he lacks morals, etiquette, and overall consideration. Despite these differences, the two of them manage to get along when necessary, although, only when necessary. "It's not my fault that I live off the souls of other creatures. At least I've learned control myself, unlike a certain rabid dog..."

Lucas rolled his eyes as the two threw insults. He finished the fruit and threw the core in the air then quickly whipped out a magnum and shot it dead on making a splatter of fruity flesh go to the ground. He put the gun back in and looked at them both. "Can you two go one day without talking about Sumi's menstrual cycle or James' diet of souls?" he asked calmly. He then turned around and saw Matilda. "Good Morning Ms. Jones." he said grinning slightly on edge about the cousins coming and James and Sumi already arguing.

This was not particularly good nor was it bad. He could always manipluate the two easier when they were angry and enev though he hated it when they were, they fought with much more passion that if they were simply sitting down calmly.

Sumi paused in her devouring of berries, staring down into the small tub and taking in a small breath before quietly letting it come out again. "It's wolf, slut-cubbus, learn your animals." She mumbled, not taking that snap all too well. She had taken that one all too wrongly and had purely assumed that James was simply calling her a crazy bitch. Her head flicked up at the loud and long 'helllooooo!' and instinctively planted her feet firmly into the ground and tensed up her fists. However, at seeing the local witch, Sumi felt a lack to worry. Witches didn't eat humans. Sure, they tried to trick them from time to time, but it wasn't always aimed at just humans. Most other creatures too. Sumi let out a heavy sigh, closing her eyes a moment and then putting another berry into her mouth. She was noticeably more tense right now, and looked nervous. Sure, by the time they actually came, Sumi would be able to keep her calm, gentle, slow, kind tone. But she felt a hell of a lot of pressure was coming her way. Having sworn to protect Lucas meant trying to keep him happy. Keeping him happy would mean having to keep the cousins safe too...

She was sure, well hoping, James felt this way too. If not, she wanted to punch his smug, 'I won't eat because it's wrong' face in so it would indent itself into his butt and look like he had just implanted his face into a memory foam mattress. Sumi tentatively tucked a piece of hair behind her ear and looked to the ground. "Why don't you go and piss off someone else James, I'm not in the mood." Sumi said, her voice still calm, but sounding irritated. When Lucas had told them to calm down, Sumi sucked in a breath and then sat down on the grass, crossing her legs and then quietly eating the berries to herself.

"How many times do I have to tell you to call me Matti?" She smiled and looked over to the bickering pair. "When's the wedding?" She jokingly asked Lucas. Her smile faded slightly, "You seem on edge?" She looked at the mush of fruit on the ground and pulled a face of disgust, before waving a hand in its direction making it disappear. She looked back up to Lucas, a sincere look in her eyes. "Anything I can do to help?"

Lucas nodded "Okay Matti." he then shrugged. "Whenever they can learn to shut up." he said then watched the fruit disappear. Witches were uncommon in regards to regular humans but still plentiful if you knew where to look. Matilda seemed to be relativity harmless but Lucas didn't trust her because of her past. To him she comes off as mildly psychotic. "I'm fine Matti there's nothing to worry about everything is fine."

"Okay." She smiled and started to walk back slowly. "I gotta go open my shop." She said in an overly happy voice. "Bye bye." She started skipping down the road into town. She hummed a nursery rhyme on her way into town. She grabbed the key that was on her necklace and opened the shop. She organised the books, put new potions on the shelves behind the counter and out out fresh ingredients. She walked over to the door and turned the sign over. She sat behind the counter, humming softly and waiting for her customers, maybe even one of the Goblins would come in and annoying just because of the shop.

James was fairly surprised at Sumi's harsh comment. Sure, they bickered on a daily basis, but today she seemed kind of pissed. Not wanting to get on her worse side, having already placed himself firmly in her bad side, he decided to do as she said and shove off. Seeing as Lucas was busy with the... Wait, what was she again? Ah, I don't care enough, Sumi's bad mood is starting to put me down now... "Today's your lucky day, Sumi. I felt like taking a leisurely walk on my own anyhow." Lucas would not miss him, at least James did not think he would. So, he went off into the nearby forest to calm his nerves.

Thanks to the nice day, the forest was brimming with beauty. Beams of light scattered by the leaves gave the place a nice, faint glow. After James went deep enough to be sure he was alone, he found a nice oak tree and sat underneath it to nap a little bit. Maybe I'll have another nice dream...

Kane walked causally down the street, tossing his new gold pocket watch up into the air and catching it as he walked. Today was off to a good start for the young goblin. He wasn't even sure why the other goblin had given him a pocket watch- he usually didn't deal in the pawn business, but that was alright. It was shiny and valuable and now it was all his.

The blonde looked up to see a party at the end of the street, made up of Captain Lucas and his two worshipers- er, followers. Kane laughed a bit, though it soon caused him to start coughing. Maybe he should get that checked out. He continued walking, tucking his precious watch away into one of his many pockets. He then entered the small shop of one of the local witches. It was always nice to have some real doctors in this town.

"Buenos dias Matilda," he cackled as he let the door slam behind him. "You don't happen to have any poison or cold medicine do ya?" He grinned and hoped that he had some sort of payment in one of his pockets. "And what's the captain and his gang doin' outside? Makin' a riot? I'll join!" He laughed again before it ended in another short coughing fit.

Cylene looked out her window, wishing it wasn't as bright outside. She might need her umbrella today which could be a nuisance to carry around with her. Sighing, the young vampire stood and combed through her long brown hair, before tying it up in a low bun. She chose to keep the same dress as yesterday on, a light tan one with a colorful hem before leaving her house quietly. She did not wish to attend her parents' usual business affairs.

The pale young woman walked quietly through her family's orchard, before arriving at the gate to their property which had already been left open by one of her siblings. She smiled a bit and walked into town, sticking to the shadows and attempting to shade herself with her fan when she wasn't. As she rounded a corner she saw one of the goblins walking happily into Matilda's shop. She chuckled a bit, knowing that any situation with a goblin could end in a very interesting way. Cylene continued walking, seeing Sumi, Lucas, and James standing by the entrance to the town. Curious. However, James wasn't around for long which didn't surprise her given that he and Sumi would probably try and kill each other if Lucas wasn't there.

She walked over to them, standing under a tree and near a shop to keep herself out of the sunlight. "Lovely day is it not?" she asked the remaining two. "Well, it's a bit bright for me but I'm sure it would feel lovely on a non-vampire's skin." She smiled kindly at them.

"Hello Kane." She smiled up to him, he was one of the nicer goblins. "I'll have a look now." She opened the cabinet behind her with a wave of her hand. She grabbed various bottle and brought them down to the counter. "How cold are you? Winter chill, Autumn gust or Summer breeze?" She smiled to him, listening to his cough. "Oh a Winter chill." She handed him a bottle of Hearthfire. "Just take it like shots, down it." She instructed. "I don't know, but Lucas is on edge, Sumi and James were going on at each other, but they were only pushing him closer to the edge. He also shot an apple and left a horrid mess on my field." She pouted. "Sadly, I had to tidy it up." She grabbed her spell book from under the counter and flicked through the pages. "Hmm, maybe the Blessing of good health." She chanted the words on the page, looking at Kane and then touched him on the forehead. "That'll be some sort of payment." She smiled politely. She looked out the window, her eyes filled with curiosity.

Sumi looked up to Lucas once James had gone, wanting to say something, but... what? She didn't know what she could say. It was hers and James' fault. (Mainly James' in her opinon) They just couldn't seem to get past the bickering. She felt bad for it... but it was in her nature. She couldn't help that she was now very mean to and aware of all succubi, not after what happened before... She looked down to her hands in her lap, before hearing a soft voice speak up. She looked round towards its general direction and blinked a couple of times, returning the warm smile with another one. "Yes, I believe the weather is lovely." She said calmly, closing her eyes a little and then opening them again to look at Cylene.

One of the few vampires that she believed was actually very kind and considerate of others. There were many vampires that had a one set mind on blood. Like teenage boys have a mindset on boobs. She tilted her head on Cylene and then looked up to the sky. "I guess it's not beautiful for all..." She smiled sympathetically towards Cylene and then turned to Lucas. She wondered if he was nervous about seeing his cousins. Sure, he never liked to show those sides of him, but she knew that he got like it from time to time. She'd seen it happen... She leaned over and rubbed his back a little. "Are you okay Lucas?" She asked quietly.

Alice leaned against the window, watching the trees and scenery pass her by the second. A little smile played at her lips. What adventure she'll have at this new town, and with her brother too! She sat up straight and turned her body toward her brother. "We're almost there." Her mother told them, as she poked her brothers arm. "Arent you excited?" Alice asked, a smile on her face. Though she assumed not, seeing how he wasent supposed to be here with her. But he volunteered, so she wouldnt be alone in the town, so she was going to be happy and grateful for that. "I cant wait to see our cousin! He seems pretty cool" Alice stated, but with a grin she added on. "But not as cool as you Brother~." She gave him a peck on the cheek and sat down properly when the car came to a stop. "Alice, Raymond we're here." Not replying, Alice pushed open the door and stretched her legs and arms. But as she does so, her heart pulsed and she opened her eyes in alert. Alice scanned the area to see a nice town. 'Somethings not right...' Though all she saw was a lynx on a high tree branch, before it jumped down in a blink of an eye. "I thought I saw a-... nevermind.."
-
June yawned and sat up from the cave floor. She stretched her limbs and started to head out, her long, messy gray hair following behind her. The deers and rabbits made clear as she passed through and she ignored them easily. This was her daily routine and nothing ever was new. But something caught her attention. A car slam. Her eyes narrowed. "Strangers...?" She raced up a tree and stood on the highest branch. From the far distance, she noticed a car, and a girl leaving the entrance. But as soon as the girls eyes started to scan the area, her body was suddenly one of a lynx. Her limbs's length decreased and fur sprouted from her human skin. Her eyes stayed the same though, a stormy grey. Jumping down from the tree, she raced towards the town, her steps not making a sound.

Lucas sighed as Sumi rubbed his shoulders. "Yes I'm fine." he said then listened to the sound of the a car driving in. He stood up and grabbed his rifle and slung it over his shoulder. He saw Alice and stood infront of her. "Something wrong?" he asked questioned but on the inside he was freaking out. He looked over at Cylene but mouthed the words. "Make sure no one touches them." then turned back. "So how was your trip over?" he asked a smirk on his face and waved slightly to Raymond. "Hey Ray" he said lightly. He saw the lynx and growled. He knew she was somewhat harmless but she lived alone and he knew she could get desperate at times. He wanted to keep an eye on everyone since human was such a delicacy to the monsters.

Ray got out of the car with a sigh. He had to miss a tournament to come here with his sister. At least she was grateful that he went with her to this town. He wondered if there was a gym in town or if Lucas had some weights of his own. There Lucas was waiting for them with two cute girls with him. He wondered who they were but assured himself that three months would be plenty of time to get to know everyone in the the town. "Hey Lucas" He said getting his luggage out of the trunk. "Who are your friends?" He asked.

The goblin downed the Hearthfire without a problem. It wasn't the tastiest thing he'd ever had, but Kane just wanted to feel better. He listened as she spoke, laughing a bit afterwards. "Ain't he supposed to be shooting people well, you know what I mean, not apples?" After she was done chanting and poking him, he gingerly rubbed at his forehead. He didn't like people touching him or anything he owned. "What sorta payment do you want? I have..." he looked through two of his pockets and came up with six dollars and seventy cents. He set it on the counter confidently. "Is that good?" He honestly hoped so because he knew his brother wouldn't give him anything.

***

Cylene smiled kindly in return to Sumi before being caught off guard by Lucas's silent words. She wasn't sure who these people were, but if they liked Lucas then they couldn't be bad. Needless to say, she would listen to him and protect them from any harm the other townspeople held. She nodded even though he had already turned back to the newcomers. The older one, the male, looked very muscular and daunting. However, she did not understand what he was wearing. It was... disturbing. Why wasn't he dressed more formally? It nearly drove her mad.

She pulled out her fan and began fanning herself, as was a habit of hers in order to keep her both cool and collected. The brunette then began to examine the younger sibling, a bouncy little girl. She seemed to be a bit of an opposite to her brother. She was energetic and seemed a bit more thrilled than the other. Both greeted Lucas before starting to retrieve their luggage.

As much as she wanted to help, she was anxious about going into the sun and the possibility of how heavy one of their bags could be. She could easily lift three of them, but the sun would affect her too much. Cylene sighed and gave a small wave to the two as ray asked who they were. She would let Sumi introduce herself first since she was Lucas's assistant.

Lucas smiled as Ray got out. "Those are Sumi and Ms. Sare. " he smiled and nodded. "If you two have everything we'll start back towards the house, we got a bit of walking to do. He felt instantly better when they got to the town and most of his fear was currently gone and replaced with the urge to get them inside.

He knew that if they didn't get inside soon enough they would pick up on their scent. He knew that some would actually start a riot and the last time that happened they were digging for weeks before they got them all in the ground.

Alice blinks and grins. "it was.. Good. But im glad im here!" she replied, her eyes twinkling with glee. But as soon as ray asked who those ladies were, she quickly calmed down. She too was curious. "Those are Sumi and Ms.Sare." Alice smiled charmingnly and gave a wave towards the two. "its a pleasure to meet both~!" she greeted and began to take in their appearance. The one with the fan seemed so lady-like and classy, which made her admire her even more. Sumi was different though, she seemed to wear all black and her white hair comtrast with the outfit nicely. It gave off a cool air. 'she seems cold... But i doubt it.' Alice thought with a smile before following lucus and tugging at rays sleeve to follow. But she remebered to wave out to the car, as it drove away. "come on ray~" She looked past her brother and waved to those girls, wondering if they were to follow.

Sumi smiled to the cousins as they exit the car and when Lucas said her name, she gently and politely bowed her head. "If you two have everything we'll start back towards the house, we got a bit of walking to do." Wow, Lucas is wasting no time today... She thought carefully to herself, smiling gently and then looking back to Cylene with a small smile. "I wish you a pleasant and safe day Cylene." She said, nodding her head to her before walking towards Lucas and the cousins. When Alice had waved to her and Cylene, she smiled a little. Well, she certainly looked chipper. Kinda sweet too. She wasn't sure how to act around human city folk. They seemed a little different to her... In this town, people act laidback but are really on edge at every turn. Trying to make sure they were safe... She knew she'd have to help watch out for the cousins. Especially if one of them was cocky or flirty. She could picture them going straight up to an incubus without a single thought in the world. Sumi looked to the boy. She imagined he was seen as handsome. He had one of those smiles that all the girls got giddy from. She continued to smile at the two and then caught up with them, offering out her hands. "Would you like me to carry your bags for you? They look heavy." She said kindly and softly, giving them a warm smile.

Ray was taking in the luggage. He hadn't packed much himself but carrying his sister's bags were a bit heavy. "No thanks, I can handle it." He told Sumi politely. He kept on following Lucas to the house where he would drop off the bags. He wanted to explore the town after seeing his room and getting to know the house. He walked inside and set down his bag to stretch. He looked over to Lucas. "So what's next a tour of the town?" He asked.

Cylene smiled politely at Alice and curtseyed to her before Lucas instructed them to hurry up. She could see why he would want to get them to safety, but she knew that humans were determined creatures. They would break out of his cage sooner or later. She turned and looked to the woods, wondering where James was. He was still an incubus, but he was more trustworthy then the other sirens in town.

She frowned as she thought of those hideously beautiful creatures. She was sure they could smell Ray by now and were conjuring up ways to devour his soul. It really was a positive thought, wasn't it? Cylene stayed where she was as the cousins got their luggage. "Have a nice day as well, Sumi. You too Lucas and Ray. I don't believe I caught your name though," she addressed Alice.

Kane suddenly burst out screaming, feeling like his body was on fire. He began flailing around before falling on the floor. The pain then ceased as quickly as it had come and he hopped back up, gripping his chest. "Are you trying to kill me?!" he yelped, before turning and seeing the two kids Matilda was talking about. His brow furrowed, wondering why they were here. "Huh, maybe it was an option other than the death penalty." He honestly didn't know much about politics or courtrooms, but he figured only somebody who was mad would send a regular kid here.

"Wanna make a bet on how long they last?" he asked her. It was purely for entertainment and the chance to gain something, not because he wanted them to die or be ravenously eaten.

Matilda laughed at his reaction to the Hearthfire. "I did warn you and I would never kill you, you're my favourite goblin." She reached over the counter and tickled under his chin in a mocking way. "They still have the death penalty?" Her voice was full of shock. She looked at him with a face full of confusion. "Why would you challenge someone how could see the future, is clairvoyant and has control over Nature?" She tilted her head. "Did you forget that all witches have these abilities, well apart from Nature control, only Harvest and Elemental and Nature witches can. Those Nature witches are such hippies." She informed him and then moaned the last part.

"Have a nice day as well, Sumi. You too Lucas and Ray. I don't believe I caught your name though," Alice blinks and smiles sheepishly. "Oh Im Alice, and I hope you have a nice day as well Ms. Sae." She added on bashfully, but noticed her brother walking off. "Well I got to catch up, I guess Ill talk to you later!" She grins and started to run toward her brother. When she did catch up, she shuddered. Something was defiantly not right... She stepped closer to Ray and looked around. "...hm.." Alice always did have a "sixth" sense, but she didnt really regard her sense as one. "Um Ill take my bag Ray." She said nervously, gripping onto the handle. " and sorry, I kinda forgot about it..hehe" She gave off a sheepish expression, before taking the bag from his grip. "Besides I need to unpack my stuff myself!" She chirped, stepping carefully, her arms outstretch and struggling to keep the bag off the ground. 'If only my legs were my arms..' Alice wished, before quickening the pace.

June crawled on top of the roof and laid down at the edge. Carefully, she lowered her head to peek through the window. No one. Pulling her body back up, she continued to crawl around with ease. "Humans..." She mumbled and she sighs. "....." Finding a more suitable place to observe, she sat down and hid against an elevated part of the rooftop. With her animalistic eyes, she stared at the humans and began to observe. The Female was careless, but sweet. Her hair was neatly brushed, meaning she was happy to arrive to this town. Anxious maybe. Her clothing were loose and child like, probably determining her innocence. Though The male seemed to be the bi-polor opposite, he was tall and intimidating in human standards. His hair was the same color as the girl obviously, meaning they're siblings. He appears to be bored and reluctant to be here, and from the sight of his body, he is strong and is able to put up quiet a fight. 'That is the one to look out for...' June noted cautiously, and started to crawl against the roof top again. 'Troublesome...'
