Full Name: Karol Angelo
Nicknames: Karol is fine as well as anything that is not insulting.
Age: 25
Hometown: Atlanta, Georgia
Ethnicity White; North American; descended from a French/Italian family.
Sexuality: Straight

Coven: None, but when I attended school, I was in Merlin.
Specialty: Healing and Protection
Abilities: I am most gifted at healing and benevolent magic. My powers are such that I can bring a man from the brink of death into full health and vitality. My shields and barriers can withstand even the nastiest of hexes. I am intimately familiar with nullifying and disabling harmful Magyks and malevolent Magick Users. Perhaps my most feared ability is the ability to disconnect a victim from his own Magyk, rendering him normal. I have only done so once. Elementally, I am adequate with fire.
Familiar Agape, a butterfly, is my familiar and my dearest friend. Although small and frail compared to others' familiars, Agape is resilient, loyal, and full of compassion and wisdom. He often follows certain students or people around either because they may be troublemakers or he judges people to be of need of help and protection.

Personality: I am often kind and good-humored with a fondness for his students and a certain indulgence for their youth and inexperience both with life and Magick. I am, however, strict when it comes to learning the material he teaches and has no tolerance for the abuse of the gifts that his students are given. Thus, because of past experience with them and their well-deserved reputation, I keep a close eye on Circe Coven and have a dislike for casual use of Black Magick which I would rather seen untaught at Fae's Academy. Nonetheless, I treat even those with the polar opposite of his personality kindly and without judgment.

I am a religious Christian, non-denominational, and regard Magick as a gift from God and use it with care with the only goal to teach or help others (though, I might use a spell to summon a particular book from the library or bottle of brandy on a shelf I just cannot reach). I have an old-fashioned form of Southern chivalry instilled to him from birth mixed with a relaxed tolerance picked up from my short life. I can often be found encouraging students to integrate themselves with worthy causes post-graduation and leading a small prayer group for students on Sundays.

Likes: Kwan, Latin, Greek, instrumental music, good liquor, good jokes, books, Benevolent Magicks, religion, manners, relaxed conversations with his fellow students and teachers, sugar.
Dislikes: ...Kwan, Cruelty, Abuse of Magicks, bullying, intolerance, religious fundamentalism, disdain for those who do not practice Magick.

History: Ilived a comfortable early life in a middle-class family in Georgia. I was close to both his parents as well as his brothers and sisters. I was a kind-hearted child that went to church every Sunday and loved to read, particularly fantasy and religious texts. I had always been fascinated with the stories of King Arthur and Camelot, particularly Merlin, though my parents slightly disapproved. I was close with Pastor Peter, the minister at our church. He was a kindly old man with a disarray of white hair and bright blue eyes that sparkled as though he knew something you didn't, but it wasn't smug, more like that of a mischievous joke. It was he that discovered my first spell, a simple healing spell of some scrapes from when I was playing outside. Rather than spout hellfire or fear, however, Pastor Peter recognized my talents and told him what it was: Magick. He revealed himself as a wizard and told me about the magical world, capturing my imagination and reassuring my fears with "No, this comes not from Satan. Far from it, my boy."

Nonetheless, when I turned 16 and revealed to his parents my powers, they were frightened and angry with him, even as I revealed Pastor Peter's involvement. We fought and I did not speak to them for my entire first year at Fae's Academy. Nonetheless, Pastor Peter practiced patience and his own magick of kindness and love and eventually, I was reconciled with his family. At Fae's Academy, I became one of the more prominent members of the Merlin Coven and showed myself a prodigy within his specialization of Magick. There were many bitter incidents with Circe's Coven, however, in part because of my strong religious beliefs and in part with my strong support of the Merlin Coven's standards and beliefs. I eventually graduated and returned just three years ago to fill the post of the Healing and Protection Magick Teacher.

Karol Angelo

The teacher's lounge had to be the most peaceful room in Fae's Academy, Karol decided. It was warded with several protective spells to ward against pranks and break-ins as well as several silence spells to insulate it from the noise of day-to-day life in the prestigious institution that was full of students that wanted nothing more than for class to be over so they could test their burgeoning powers and engage in parties devoid of decency or sense that would make even the most depraved mortal blush in shame. It was here that he could read St. Augustine's Confessions in its original Latin in peace before his first class of the day.

To tell the truth, Fae's Academy had been his home since he was 16, almost a decade ago. It had proved to be a place of refuge for him when his parents weren't speaking to him as well as a place of discovery as he honed his talents and discovered what God had meant for him to do with his life. Pastor Peter was an excellent tutor and mentor, don't get him wrong, but this was a true place of learning and discernment and when he graduated, all he wanted to do was return, much to his surprise. His parents accepted his gifts, now, of course and he loved them dearly as he loved his home of Atlanta and the people that lived within it. But he loved nurturing young minds and teaching them about Magick and he enjoyed the prayer group he started with their candid discussions and rich faith.

Then there was Kwan. He had mixed feelings about the Spellcraft and Potions Master to put it lightly. He often found them having different views on just about everything from manners to teaching to religion and philosophy to how they handled their students. Then there had been an incident the previous Semester that had left things decidedly disoriented. Not that she was bad-looking, far from it. He found her exotic appearance and grace suited her well. But the fact remained that he had not planned on dispensing with his virginity under the influence of a student's mislabeled love potion or for it to be with her of all people. The morning had proven awkward with a plethora of yelling, accusations, and a duel in their nudity and they had both pretended the incident never happened, an impasse he was quite happy to accept.

He turned a page in his book. He comforted himself with the fact that St. Augustine had engaged in quite a life of debauchery before his conversion, but then, the man hadn't had to deal with workplace tension with the woman he had slept with either.

Aedan McKlellan
Aedan woke up as he normally did, with a groan and a curse about alarm clocks that would have his Ma taking a belt to his backside as apparently the Magickal World still held with corporal punishment. J.K. Rowling got at least one thing right when she implied that they were old-fashioned. He stood up, bare naked and walked to his bathroom, which came with your room when you were a second year and above, thank God. He blushed his teeth, gargled, and spat before looking at himself in the mirror. If there was one thing he hated about his appearance, it was how feminine he looked. Sure, he had bulked up a little in Battle Magick class and he had the body hair that only testosterone could grow, but if one more person implied he was gay, he would sock them in the mouth and lite their hair on fire, in that order.

Of course, there were better things to do to assure others of his heterosexuality and he made sure to do those things often. With that thought, he applied his deodorant, and dressed himself in a simple T-shirt and pair of jeans before heading downstairs and out his dorm-house. His stomach was rumbling and he looked forward to seeing Ever at breakfast. At that thought, he broke out into a not entirely innocent grin. Ever Daniels was the the snarkiest, funnest, and most sexy girl at school and she happened to be Aedan's girlfriend. They clicked as friends almost instantly years ago and had only recently started dating and, to tell the truth, she already topped his few exes by a longshot. They were both big city dwellers and shared the same work ethic and sense of humor. Well, maybe she was slightly more studious than he was, but still.

As he headed into the main building when he heard a bark, he grinned when he saw that it was a familiar Irish Terrier. And by familiar, he meant his familiar. He grinned and pet the dog, kissing his forehead as he jumped on him and licked him.

"Hey Patty! Find any lasses that let you in bed last night?" he teased. Patty barked happily and Aedan grimaced a little.

"Alright, alright. No need to thrill me with the dirty details. I don't like them covered in hair. Or canine. Come on. Let's go see Ever," he told him with a grin as they entered the main building together, finding the cafeteria quickly. He grinned when he saw Ever standing in line for breakfast and deftly cut in line so he stood behind her, wrapped his arms around her waist, and kissed her cheek.

"Morning, Love."

Ethan Holler

Ethan Holler decided it was a very good morning indeed. The Sun was shining, the garden he found himself in was brimming with life, and he was laying against a tree with a pipe filled with very good weed. And, no, it wasn't the slightly above par stuff you could buy off a dealer for an exorbitant price. This was excellent, grown by yours truly with a bit of Magick and tender loving care of a weed addict. He blew another smoke hole above his head, using his Magick to cause it to stay there along with the many others, giving him a smoky halo.

True, he had a little bit of a headache from the night before, but nothing was better than a full breakfast under your belt and a generous helping of weed to make you feel one with nature. It was an open secret that the Puck students grew and brewed drugs and other "goodies" and the teachers didn't get down on their case. After all, some had been Pucks themselves and as long as they didn't get smoke blown in their face, most teachers didn't care. Professor Angelo may look disapproving when he smelled weed on you, but as Ethan told him before, Jesus made water into wine. He probably grew weed too. It was a must for someone who was great teacher with wild, revolutionary ideas, after all. To his credit, the professor commented politely on his idea before suggesting he return to his test.

He sort of failed it, but that was normal for Ethan. Written tests weren't his specialty. Now practical exams, those were what he aced every time, even in his worst subjects like necromancy. If there was one thing he agreed with Professor Angelo on, it was that necromancy was unnatural. It was creepy, bringing the dead back to life. He could understand saying good bye to your loved ones, but the shades still gave him the shivers. Even worse than bad weed or a spiked drink.

"Speaking of which," he said aloud, "We need another party."

He glanced over at his Familiar, a chipmunk that was currently shivering by a half-eaten mushroom, "Or maybe not. Poor guy... I told you that those smelled dodgy."

"You don't drink? You poor deprived girl. I must help you," Ethan told Amarina with an expression of mock horror, snapping his finger and murmuring an incantation, first conjuring a wineglass and then concentrating slightly, imagining the air within it turning into sweet red wine with a touch of honey in it and, behold, it was filled. He grinned in accomplishment and took a seat beside her. Unlike most people, he wasn't intimidated by Amarina. To be honest, he wasn't intimidated by anyone except for a Circe witch on a roaring rampage of revenge. Even he wasn't zen enough not to be nervous about that.

"It is pretty cool. You control the gateway between worlds. Real cool. I have to smoke and drink a whole lot to do that and it's only in my head, unfortunately," he told the girl with a shameless grin as he offered her the glass of wine. Joey chittered and offered them a couple of mushrooms. He grinned at his friend.

"Maybe later. Still early in the day," he told his Familiar before grinning over at Amarina, "Joey's worse than I am and that's saying something."

To tell the truth, despite his blatant interest in them, girls were rather wary of Ethan Holler, as though they expected him to drug them or get them drunk. As if he'd do that. He had some standards. He may be an open druggie and offered said substances to others, but he respected their boundaries.

Aedan McKlellan

Aedan laughed, enjoying the expression on his girlfriend's face. He knew Muppet's gender perfectly well. He just liked teasing her. He grinned at her, "Alright. We can study in my room. Or yours. I don't care where. I like the subject..."

At her question, he shrugged, "I don't know. Ethan mentioned earlier that he was having a party in the woods and everyone was invited: sprites, nymphs, students, cool teachers. It sounds fun, if any of us can remember it."

Karol Angelo

Karol looked up when Kwan entered the teacher's lounge, images of their last prolonged encounter flashing through his mind. He suppressed a blush. He still had yet to carry on an extended conversation with her since that incident, but he knew he would have to. They were colleague's for God's sake. Thus, he offered her a friendly smile and gave her a polite nod.

"Good morning, Kwan," he told her.

Aedan McKlellan

"I knew you couldn't stay mad at me," Aedan told his girlfriend and best friend with a grin. Honestly, the transition from being best friends to boyfriend and girlfriend went smoother than either of them expected. They both knew each other down to the dirtiest detail and loved spending time with each other anyway. There was no pretension or lies in order to make yourself out better than you really were. His family also knew her already and liked her and his mother seemed to always know that they were going to end up together. There was also none of the best friend vs new girlfriend drama since they were one in the same.

"I know plenty of guys that think you're hot. I can round them up and they will plead their case. They're not as awesome as I am, but what do you do?" Aedan asked rhetorically with a grin as Patty laid down to watch the cats play. The old softie. He was protective of them, deep down, particularly Muppet. He grinned slightly when Ever mentioned taking stuff from Ethan, "I took something from him once. I woke up naked, painted purple, and with no idea what happened the night before.

(Will post more soon. Got to go. :( )

Karol Angelo

He relaxed slightly. It was good that she did not seem to want to mention the incident. He was fine without mentioning it as well. He closed his book and replied, "My morning was nice. I have an interesting lesson planned for my students. How about you, Qwan?"

Ethan Holler

Joey stared at the strange creature warily and Ethan laughed slightly. He shrugged, "Don't worry. Joey isn't the type for revenge unless you really get him angry."

"This party will be something else. Don't worry," he told her with a frown. She wasn't a party person? Nonsense. Everyone liked a good party, even if they withdrew into the corner with a few friends and drinks. He'd have to think of something to get Amarina out of her shell. He grinned at her when she agreed to help. Maybe there was some hope for the girl after all. He'd have to take it slow, though.

"You could bring some books," he offered, "People would love to see you read a few things out of them. Maybe poetry? No harm in butterflies or small animals, is there?"

Aedan McKlellan

"Hey, how do you know she won't like my guys? They are handsome, charming, fun. What type of guys do you have in mind?" Aedan complained playfully. He kissed her back fiercely, smirking slightly when he nipped her lip. He knew that'd drive her crazy.

Karol Angelo

He sighed. He supposed that it was too much to ask that they would leave the past in the backburner. He closed his book and looked at her seriously, "I don't know. What we did... What happened. What are we supposed to do? It obviously raises a lot of questions. We were obviously physically attracted to each other. That is a requirement for the potion to work as we both know. Was it just sexual tension then or do we have feelings for each other? I have no answers for that. I don't know. I do know that I enjoyed it at the time. And I am sorry for any inconvenience my actions gave you."

Ethan Holler

He grinned at the girl. He had gotten Amarina to agree to come to his party and that was most of the battle. He just needed to be friendly with her, get her a drink, and she'd be enjoying herself in no time. Ethan prided himself on his charitable nature. He grinned.

"It's going to be just within the forest, of course. The wards won't allow the fairies and nymphs in otherwise, not without us breaking them anyway. It won't be too far in so nothing nasty should crash the party. Unless you count the Circe Coven and they're coming anyway, so I invited them. It's better that they come invited in a good mood than uninvited in a bad mood," he told her with an easy grin.

"Don't worry. I will make sure no one trashes your books. I'll be your date for the evening," he told her, as if he was simply informing her what he was going to wear there.

Ever Daniels

Ever shivered a bit. He was messing with her. She smacked his leg and whispered. "I'm gonna make you pay for that." She said and then smiled. "Anyway, I know because, I know you. You will find guys based three things. Attractive, Charm and Fun. And Nothing deeper, though your heart is in the right place." She said with a pat to his chest. "So my love, I will have to remedy that because we are trying to get her a boyfriend not just simply laid." She said with a know it all smile.

Kwan Yin Xong

Kwa Yin sighed. He brought up valid points. Surely she was attracted to him. He was handsome, there was no denying that but it's not a requisite of romantic feelings. She still wasn't sure if it was a love potion or simply an infatuation potion. Similar but different. Love required feelings, Infatuation required attraction. She wasn't sure which played the part. She looked up at him as he apologized. "There's no need to apologize." She said. "It wasn't your fault." It was then the bell rang and it was time to round up her Coven. She stood up, walked over and leaned by his ear. "You only apologize for something you regret. I ,for one, am not apologizing." She whispered and made her way out the door.

Iain MacLean

Professer MacLean made his way to the lobby where the students were to be lined up and break off into their Coven. He was acting Headmaster while the Headmistress was away. He stood at the top of the stairs and students filed in, awaiting dismissal. Kwan Yin appeared beside him and her Medea Coven began to line up before her. Iain was Merlin as well as Professor Karol, but since he was acting Headmaster, The students would line up in from of Karol. He had an announcement to make to the students about the second years, Battle Magick Class after study hall. Medea Vs. Merlin. It was a good practice for the students and it was always fun. He fought the urge to chuckle as Karol and Kwan Yin would be pitted against each other although they're fights were legendary.

Aedan McKlellan

"How do you know that she won't continue seeing the guy after they sleep together?" Aedan asked indignantly. Really, his friends weren't that bad were they? He thought about Ethan and the others and smiled sheepishly.

"Well, she'd have fun anyway," he said at last.

Karol Angelo

The Healing and Protection Professor felt his face redden at his colleague's words and the closeness in which she delivered them. He was not expecting that, but then, since when was Kwan predictable? It was a trait he admired about her and yet infuriated him at the same time. He was never sure when she would do or say something that would catch him off-balance. With a shake of his head, headed for his classroom. He needed to focus on his first year class.

Ethan Holler

Ethan raised up his hands in his defense, "Hey, they're coming anyway, whether we want them or not. I just want to make sure they're not in a bad mood when they do arrive."

He blinked in surprise when Amarina fixated on the part about her being his date. Really, was it a big deal to her? He was certain guys asked her out all the time and accompanying him to a party wasn't exactly romantic. His first intention was to make sure she enjoyed herself and nothing over-the-top happened to her. He would have to be slightly sober, but it was something he felt was his duty to do. But she was also rather pretty and fun to hang out with. He gave her an easy smile.

"Well... What is a date anyway? It's simply a girl accompanying a guy or a girl if she is that way or a guy accompanying another guy, but I digress. I just want to spend time with you. Show you a good time. If it turns romantic, I will certainly be happy about it, but if not, I would still be glad that I showed a good friend a good time," he stated, sounding unusually lucid for him. His eyes widened in horror.

"My God, I am sober, aren't I?"

Little Crazy
Alex walked into the meeting area for his coven. He didn't really get the hold 'trail' thing in the aspect of working with a coven to defeat the other. Much better to have just an all out brawl and to the victor? Well, that to be decided really. Alex didn't care if this coven won or lost in the end but, out of all the covens he hated the most was Merlin. That was a lie. He didn't hate Merlin, he hated Prof. Angelo. All his talk of gifts for 'god' and their duty it do his work. Alex as seen the face of God's workers and have seen how fragile they really were. The mind has to much poison in for such thoughts of Gods and their goals. If give the chance Alex would gladly seen Mr.Angel to his own personal hell. Hysteria and the mind would create a perfect prison of guilt and sin. Maybe that was God's work.

Mr.Little looked at how was all here. His eyes landed upon Ma'dam Le Feuvre so the next person he looked for was the Gypsy. The two of them in same room mean he could stir the wasp nest but, sadly he didn't spot the other one. Not that much fun then. He strode up to Pippa. "Daughter of Janus, where is your other face?" He didn't wait for an answer. "Such a sad thing eh?" He began circling her like a cat reading itself for a fight. "Seemingly an easy trail for us, That is for people actually here." He walked in front of her with his back turned. He reached into his shirt pocket and grabbed a cigarette and his lighter. He sparked the lighter and put the flame to cigarette. He took a long drag and put the lighter back. "But you're not really here are you?" He spun to face her. "My little Black Tower is really there with The ivory Gypsy. Two? one? Circe? Medea?" He shrugged. "Such things are the board that we play." He smile a half smile. "But in the end you could careless, eh?" Maybe that would rustle her feathers a bit. He could only hope.

Alex didn't wait for Pippa to respond as he walked away after his last question. Pippa might stop him, say some remark that was designed to be blunt and be along the lines of. "Listen you insane fuck, I don't care what you have to say, and I really don't care about you." If she said anything at all.

"I know. And, strangely, I wouldn't have it any other way. If you were distracted and I won because of it, it wouldn't be fair. Not to mention you would be angry with me for the rest of the semester," Karol told his fellow professor with a slight smile before turning to address his own Coven, "Merlins, come with me please. We will be practicing outside the auditorium. Afterwards, we will meet the Meada Coven for our duels. I want you to be practicing your defense before you move into your offensive spells. The Medeas will have a few tricks up their sleeves."

Aedan groaned slightly and followed the others outside towards their meeting place. Before he did, however, he kissed Ever back heatedly and whispered in her ear, "Winner picks how we go about our free time."

He smirked slightly as he looked for a partner.
