It has always been a well known fact that Heaven and Hell have been in a feud. From the moment Lucifer turned his back on God and was cast out of Heaven there has been a feud. Though it was more between Lucifer and God themselves, the people in their kingdoms were slowly dragged into it.

The Demons have always been the darkness in the world where the Angels have been the light, and of course you cannot have light if you do not have darkness. For centuries they kept it that way acknowledging that the other existed but never doing much about it they tended to stay clear of one another to avoid fighting and violence that would be brought on by a disagreement.

However, one day Lucifer grew greedy, like he always has been. He didn't just want the odd human here and there to prove to God that his perfect creations were flawed, he wanted the earth, every soul on the planet and the planet itself. He wanted to destroy the precious creations the angels were tasked with protecting. A war broke out soon after, though the humans were oblivious to the danger they were in as the Angels and Demons were taking human forms and walking the earth as if nothing was a miss. More humans started dying, the body count started rising, the humans were in the crossfire. It got to the point where even the Angels gave up on trying to protect the humans and started trying to protect each other and Heaven in the fight against the Demons and Hell. No one was protecting the humans.

After years of this going on the human race fell into panic because of a war they couldn't see but were suffering from all the same. Though this was going to change. When an Angel came across a Demon she expected it was going to be a fight to the death, only one of them was going to walk out, but something different happened instead. Their bond has lead to a third piece coming into the game. They have created a faction of their own tasked with not only protecting the humans but stopping the war all together. Their movement is growing quickly and it seems their numbers double each day. They claim that they stepped away from their armies to create a new one for the sake of the human race that was suffering for something they didn't do. It seems their motives lean more in the direction of protecting one another, however they always deny that.

Amara stood on the bridge looking out over the river that rumbled down bellow her, the wind blew gently through her hair, the cold nipping at her skin. She couldn’t stay cooped up any longer, she was beginning to feel like a tiger in a cage pacing back and forth. The sun began to vanish bellow the horizon causing the wind to grow colder. Amara wrapped her arms tightly around herself pulling up the black hood of her sweater over her head a shiver passing through her body.

β€œA little far from home aren’t you?” The voice sounded from behind her, she turned on her heal taking one look at the man standing before her. β€œI could say the same for you.” Amara’s eyes narrowed on the glint of a blade in his hand, it looked like an angel blade but she wasn’t sure. β€œIt isn’t everyday you stumble upon a Seraphim Angel. I bet heaven would pay a pretty price for you.” She rolled her eyes leaning up against the rails of the bridge. β€œThere isn’t exactly a lot of us.” She commented.

The demon lunged at her she avoided the blow with catlike reflexes. The fight turned into something like a dance, Amara let her concealed blade slip down from where it was hidden. The Demon managed to catch her cheek leaving a long cut along it which caused her to hiss. It took her a few more moves before she ended him, something she usually avoided doing, it was clear the moment he approached her it wasn’t going to end the way she wanted it to.

Amara concealed the blade again pulling her hood back up, she made her way through the winding streets of the city coming to a stop in front of a old warehouse building. It didn’t look like much and still looked abandoned, if anyone were to enter it would also seem that way as the secret faction laid bellow the old building. She pulled the door open letting it close behind with a loud bang. Making her way through the building she came up to another smaller door, this one guarded by an angel on one side and a demon on the other. She pulled her hood down, upon seeing her face they pulled the door open letting her in.

She wanted to avoid Hunter at all costs, god forbid he saw the cut along her cheek before she had time to heal it. Sure enough she got pulled aside by one of her friends. β€œWhere have you been?” The brown haired girl exclaimed pulling her into a hallway. β€œYou can’t leave without telling anyone where you are going Amara!” Amara looked at her friend rather unamused.

β€œI didn’t go far. I never do.” Alice shook her head examining her face. β€œWhat happened to your face?” Amara moved away from Alice. β€œI ran into a demon. He turned out to be rather unpleasant company.” She shook her head slightly. β€œYou better get it fixed before your demon sees you.” Alice giggled at the exasperated sigh Amara let out. β€œHe isn’t my anything. How many times do I have to say it?”

β€œEveryone knows something is going on between you two. Just friends don’t look at each other that way. Like the world will end if the other isn’t there.” Alice giggled again taking Amara’s hand. β€œCome on, lets get you cleaned up.”

They wandered down one of the many hallways that led to the infirmary where angels not so in tune with battle used their abilities to heal those injured, the training grounds also happened to be down this particular hallway, while Amara suggested taking the long way Alice insisted they take the hall they were on which rose the risk of running into Hunter.

β€œI told you we shouldn’t have gone this way!” Amara looked at Alice then over at Hunter who had a few people following behind him like lost puppies, she assumed they were new and almost pitied them, Hunter was never easy on the trainees, she had watched him train a few before. She angled her head slightly to try and avoid him noticing the cut.

β€œI’m fine!” Amara said when he had clearly noticed it. β€œJust a scratch no big deal.” She looked up at him with crossed arms not willing to tell him what happened but she assumed they would have a conversation about it later. β€œYou look busy, so I’m going to go get this taken care of, and I’ll see you later.” Amara glanced around Hunter’s large body at the people standing behind him doing a quick scan over them, she smiled at him before slipping past him grabbing Alice’s hand and continuing down the hallway.

β€œDoes avoiding him usually work out for you?”
Alice questioned, Amara let out a little sigh. β€œNot usually, however when he has a group of trainees behind him, I get away with more.” Amara dared a glance over her shoulder in his direction before continuing forward.

"And who are these little pissants?" Alastor asked with a slight note of annoyance as he looked over several new recruits. There were five of them all lined up, and standing at attention like the good little soldiers they were. Alastor paced back and forth in front of them. Three were demons, and two were angels. He didn't recognize any of the demons, so they weren't any that he personally trained. But from the nervous look on their meatsuit's face they knew exactly who he was. He'll have to break them before they can actually be of any use. Oh what fun.

"Well boss they're supposed to be our latest recruits." A large, bald black man that stood beside Alastor answered him. "Really? Scraping the bottom of the barrel aren't we Marcus?" Alastor asked. The man that stood by him was Marcus, one of the first demons to follow Alastor, and is one of his lieutenants. "That's what we get for being goddamn rebels. We get the rabble, and all the ladies." Marcus replied in a sarcastic tone. "Meh, worth it." Alastor smirked. "Alright maggots. For those of you that have been living under a rock for the past.....one thousand or so years I'm your general, Alastor the Hellfire Prince. You guys will call me sir, and I will call you bitch. Because that is what you are now. My bitch."

"And let me tell you this, the rumors you've heard about me. Well, they aren't true. I'm much, much worse." He assured them with a sly grin. Alastor then stopped to eye one of the demons. "You, bitch number one. Who's down there training you pansies?" He demanded to know. "Lor-....Beelzebub has began overseeing the training of the demons." The demon answered nervously. Alastor then let out a loud laugh. "Beezy? They left Beezy in charge? No wonder why these demons keep getting weaker, and weaker. What happened to Amon? He took over when I was first assigned to Earth."

"Amon was executed when you defected sir. They were afraid that he'd betray them." The demon answered. "Oh right, that makes sense. Too bad. He was the best damn fighter I ever taught." Alastor then looked over at Marcus. "Present company included. Amon was just the best." Alastor smirked. "Alright bitches, let's go to the training room. I'm gonna have to break you, and turn you into decent soldiers. Undo all that crap that they've been teaching you up in Heaven, and Hell."

Alastor and Marcus led them out, and into the hallway that led to the training area. Once in the hallway they came across Amara, and one of her people, Alice he believed she went by. As they passed each other Alastor stopped, and looked at the cut on her face. "What happened to you?" He asked. When she said it was a simple scratch he didn't believe. If it was a simple scratch it would have healed on it's own. Most likely it was from either a demon or angel. As she walked away Alastor glared at the trainees. "Did I tell you bitches to stop moving?! Get going!"

As they entered the training room Alastor held Marcus back for a second. "Hey, you get them started I'll be right back." He ordered him. Marcus replied with a simple nod before he joined back with the trainees. Alastor exited and disappeared in a puff of smoke. He then reappeared directly in front of Amara, and Alice. "What the hell happened? Why'd you disappear? You know it's not safe to go out there alone." He lectured her. "So what was it? Angel or demon? Were you followed? Do we need to pack up, and relocate?"

Amara felt Alice jump when Alastor appeared in front of them, she crossed her arms the look he gave her told her a lecture was coming her way. "What the hell happened? Why'd you disappear? You know it's not safe to go out there alone. So what was it? Angel or demon? Were you followed? Do we need to pack up, and relocate?" Alice shifted slightly looking over at Amara. β€œAlice, you can go.” The smaller girl nodded turning on her heal moving back down the hallway.

β€œI was attacked by a demon, and I didn’t disappear.” She grumbled leaning up against the wall keeping her arms crossed, she wondered if he had noticed she was wearing on of his sweaters yet, the thing was so large on her she probably could have disappeared in it. β€œClearly wearing your sweater was a waste of time, your scent didn’t mask mine. He’s dead by the way, the demon. I also checked to see if he had any friends. I made sure I wasn’t followed.” Amara pushed off the wall wrapping her arms gently around Alastor’s neck. β€œI’m fine, I promise.” She pulled away just enough to look at him and smile, she locked eyes with him for a second biting her lip was her way of restraining herself. She pulled away from him falling into step beside him as they continued down the hallway.

β€œRumor has it an Archangel is running around. Heaven’s patience must be wearing thin for them to have sent one.” Amara commented, even then she found it strange that they had sent one. The Archangel’s were basically gods of war themselves she would have thought Heaven would have saved them for when Hell was weak an vulnerable easy to take out. β€œI wonder how many lives are going to be lost because of that.” Amara crossed her arms unease coming over her at the thought, to many lives had already been lost to the fight between Heaven and Hell no matter what they did the numbers kept climbing. She went to say something else but one of Alastor’s demons came up before she could get the first word out.

β€œSir, Marcus sent me. He says the Demon recruits have picked a fight with the Angel recruits he can’t get them off each other.” Amara wasn’t overly surprised, it was common for the new recruits to get at each others throats it was hardwired into them to hate each other, it took a long time to break that natural instinct. Amara looked over at him. β€œGo, I’ll be fine.” She smiled slightly as he disappeared, the demon that now stood before her smirked.

β€œWhat?” The demon shrugged slightly. β€œAlastor must be very proud of himself.” She gave the Demon a questioning look and he chuckled. β€œWell, you are wearing his sweater, covered in his scent. No other male demon will touch you, its a feral thing with us most of us don’t even notice its there but to have a female smelling like you, it’s as good as claiming her. I mean sometimes others will challenge each other in subtle ways, but no one would challenge Alastor, not without a death wish. You should see what its like in hell, demons die over fighting for girls.” He shrugged again and Amara kept the smile off her face and forced a laugh.

β€œIs it a breeding thing?” She asked genuinely curious now. β€œI guess so, we are kinda like lions, one male to a pride.” Amara laughed again. β€œMust be a demon thing. Male angels are nothing like that.” before the demon could speak again an Angel appeared beside Amara.

β€œYou’re needed in the training hall, one of the angel recruits has been badly hurt.” Amara sighed disappearing with a small flash of light and reappearing in the training room, she quickly moved past everyone and to the injured angel, clearly Alastor hadn’t got a handle on it fast enough and she couldn’t help but feel sorry for the recruits, they would sure get a taste of his wrath.

β€œWho’s that angel? She’s hot.” One of the demons commented softly to another who chuckled. β€œYeah I’d hit that.” Amara usually would have turned around and said something smart but she was more concerned about what was in front of her. β€œWill he be okay?” The smaller female angel said who was kneeled beside him, she looked to be fairly young in angel terms maybe a few hundred years old. β€œI tried to heal him myself, but I’m not strong enough, his injuries are to severe.” Amara placed her hand gently on the Angel a dim light coming from her hands and flowing into him, the wounds quickly started to close and it wasn’t long before he was fully healed. β€œHe will be fine.” Amara smiled softly, the young angel smiled up at her. β€œOh! what happened to your cheek?” She gently placed a hand over it the wound closing, Amara smiled that saved her a trip to the infirmary.

Amara got back onto her feet, the same demon that had made the comment before whistled as she did so. Amara didn’t react though just going over to Alastor. β€œI’m assuming I’m not needed anymore.” More of a statement then a question. She questioned what the demon before had told her as Alastor hadn’t reacted to that other demon paying any attention to her, though demons in most of their ways still confused her. β€œI’ll see you later.” She commented softly before making her way out of the training room, silently wondering how hard he was going to push them for that incident.

"Well....I'm glad you're ok. I don't know whether I should be happy, or insulted that they replaced me with Beelzebub. If it was one of my guys you'd be.....uh....perfectly fine because you're amazing....but I'm glad you weren't hurt." Alastor stated with a faked smile, avoiding to say something he would regret. He then gently ran his finger across the scratch on her face. As she wrapped her arms around his neck he placed his hands on her hips. "You know, if you wanted my scent all you had to do was ask. I can think of....other ways for you to smell like me." He stated with a mischievous grin. But before anything could happen she continued on down the hall, much to his disappointment.

"An Archangel huh? Not sure if I should be flattered or worried." He smirked. "Been awhile since I tussled with an Archangel. Should be fun, been itching for a fair fight." Alastor stated as he cracked his knuckles. Though he might seem to have a more cavalier attitude about this than Amara, but he is still a bit worried, even if he won't admit it. "Geez, they're only now sending in a Archangel? You'd figure they'd already send in their heavy hitters. What a waste." He stated, clearly speaking as a former general of Hell.

Alastor looked over at Amara when said something about the losses they will suffer. "Amara...I- Before he could finish his sentence they were interrupted by one of his demons. He groaned loudly, and rolled his eyes. Of course they were fighting. Alastor looked over at Amara, who gave him the go ahead. "Alright, we'll talk more later." And with that Alastor teleported away, and reappeared in the training area. "What the fuck is going on here!?" Alastor roared, sending chills down the spines of those in the room. Marcus came over to his leader, and whispered in his ear, telling him what happened.

Alastor glared at the demon who had summoned his weapon, and stabbed one of the new angel recruits. The demon himself was nearly sweating bullets at this point. He wasn't sure what was going to happen. "Somebody get Amara!" He ordered, and one of the angels scrambled to go get her. Alastor sighed as he rubbed his temple. He was just thinking of all the things he was going to do to them. Once Amara had gotten there, and began treating the angel he glared at the demons that were making comments about her appearance. Of course he made sure Amara didn't see it.

Alastor gave Amara a small nod when she said that she'd see him later. He looked over at the demons that were checking her out, getting rather jealous. But before she left Alastor reached his hand out, and lightly smacked Amara's ass, if only to assert his dominance as the head demon in charge. He didn't know what came over him. It was just a instinctual thing that came over him. He figured he'd probably get an ear full for it later.

Alastor then turned to face the new recruits with a sinister smile across his face. "Alright, you got some fight in ya. Good, I like that. It makes it so much more fun when I break you, and remake you into something useful." He smirked with many of the veterans of his training smiling, and chuckling to themselves. "Marcus, go get the sword. You guys want a fight? Then you got one. Summon your soul weapons, I'm gonna see what you're made of." He ordered. Marcus soon brought him a regular old human sword. It was just a normal sword that he uses for training purposes. It will hurt, a lot, but it won't kill any of them. He allowed them to use their soul weapons so it'd be a fair fight.

Alastor gripped the handle of the sword tightly, and pointed it's edge at the demon who attacked the angel, challenging him to come forward. The demon clinched his black demonic axe tightly, and then rushed forward towards Alastor. And almost as soon as he stepped forward he was back on the ground. Alastor's attack was nearly too fast for the demon to see. Alastor chucked at the demon now on the ground. "Too slow. Again."

For the next few hours Alastor brutally trained with the new recruits one by one. The recruits were all exhausted, with cuts all over their clothing, but Alastor didn't have a single scratch on him. "That should be enough for now. Marcus, you take over from here. And if there is another incident like that one, then next time I'm going to use my soul weapon, and not hold back." Alastor warned them, and then he turned away from them to leave. "That was him going easy?!" One of the recruits groaned as he left.

Alastor then proceeded to go to his makeshift office/bedroom. He sat down on the couch inside it, and ran his hand down his face, and let out an exhausted sigh. "Dumbasses. All of them." He sighed. His thoughts then lingered towards what he did to Amara earlier in the training room, wondering what came over him back there. 'Am I.....do I....love her?" He wondered to himself.

Amara moved through the infirmary, she liked to make sure the people who were injured were well taken care of. Though she had complete faith in the angels she had trained she still liked to do a round here and there. β€œWait, your going to have to go over it again.” She let out an annoyed sigh stoping and turning to face her friends, news had spread about what had happened in the training room and the questions seemed like they were never ending. β€œTwo of the new Demon recruits was making comments about me. Alastor just...reacted to it.” She shrugged slightly like it wasn’t a big deal but it had been lingering in her head since it had happened. β€œHe’s just been acting strange when it comes to me lately.”

β€œWell, he certainly made his point.” Amara rolled her eyes knowing exactly where this conversation was going. β€œAnd what point was that?” they giggled. β€œThat you’re his, and if anyone so much as makes a remark about you they are going to have to deal with him. Did you see the state those recruits were in when he was finished with them?”

β€œDon’t you have things you should be doing?” Amara asked with raised eyebrows, they just giggled again. β€œSariel, your turning red.” was all they said before going on to do their work. She looked down letting her hair fall over her shoulders to hide the color that had appeared on her cheeks, doing her best to keep her mind off of it.

The morning air stung Amara’s skin. She stood in her usual place on the usual bridge she went to when she needed to escape, the same bridge she had been attacked on the previous night but she didn’t think much of that. She wrapped her own sweater tightly around her body a shiver passing through her from the cold.

When she came back into the warehouse she moved to the training room her cheeks red from the change in temperature one look from Alastor and she knew that he was aware she had been outside of again, but of course she had, she went out when she needed to think, or when something was weighing on her heart. β€œI bet they haven’t even kissed. Angel’s are to good for that.” The comment she heard them murmur as Amara passed caused he gaze to drift back to Alastor, she let it linger there she had been tempted to many times, was tempted now.

She didn’t know exactly what came over her, whether she was trying to prove a point, or she was just to exhausted to use the self restraint she so carefully kept in place when Alastor was around. Still Amara found herself on her tip toes pressed against Alastor’s body their lips locked together, what seemed to have started out as proving a point ended up having an actual affect on Amara that she wasn’t expecting.

When she pulled away, she only stayed about an inch away from his face keeping her eyes closed for a few moments, the world had seemed to fade away and she wasn’t exactly ready to set foot in reality again. When she did open her eyes she didn’t say a word, she just stepped away from him leaving the training hall without a word, or an explanation for her actions.

Alastor had worried about Amara, after what he did he was so sure that he'd get at the very least an ear full due to his actions, and sort of claiming her as his own. But he didn't. He hadn't seen her since the incident, and it was bothering him. What had happened to him? He was the Prince of Hellfire, fear of all demons. And yet it now feels as if he can't go a day without seeing that angel's face. He couldn't help but wonder if he really has gone soft. Has she made him soft? Is he even fit to lead this rebel army anymore?

Alastor was snapped out of his train of thought by Marcus who tapped him on his shoulder. "They're improving." He stated. The new recruits were all sparing with one another, frequently switching up partners among themselves, and some of the older recruits. "Huh? Oh, yeah I guess." Alastor added rather disinterested. His mind was clearly elsewhere. "Let me guess, it's about your angel girlfriend?" Marcus asked as he folded his arms, already knowing the answer. "She's not my girlfriend. She's.....I don't know what she is." Alastor corrected him as he ran his hand through his short golden hair.

And it wasn't too long before Amara entered the training area. "Well speak of the....um....angel." Marcus smirked before he patted Alastor on his back, and then he left Alastor. He watched Amara, who's cheeks were red from being outside. He quickly shook his head, and began moving around the training area, observing the sparing bouts. He heard someone make a comment about Amara, and quickly turned around to see who it was. And before he knew it Amara was right in front of him. "Amara....is something....wrong?" He asked as she got closer to him. He took a deep gulp. His heart was pounding in his chest, all he could hear was his heartbeat, unable to move, mesmerized by Amara as she drew closer.

"Amara....? Are you-" Before he could finish his question she leaned up, and kissed him. Everything just seemed to fade away. There was only him, and her. He had never felt like this before. No, he has. Once, a very long time ago in another life. When she pulled away Alastor looked at her with a puzzled look on his face. What had gotten into her? "Amara...I...." Before he could finish his sentence she was already gone.

As she left Alastor's eyes briefly glowed bright red. He looked over at Marcus, and gave him a look to take over here. And with that he went after Amara. "Amara! Wait! We need to talk!" He called out to her in the hall, but she kept walking. "Dammit..." Alastor then caught up to Amara, and grabbed her by the arm to keep her from getting away. "Hey! What's going on?" He asked as he placed his other hand on her chin, and forced her to look at him. As he looked into her eyes his heart began pounding once again, it was all that he could hear.

His eyes flickered red, he could no longer control himself. Alastor pulled Amara in closely, and passionately kissed her. After a good long minute Alastor pulled away, his eyes still being demonic red. Alastor then forced Amara into the wall behind her, seemingly not caring if he hurt her or not. Alastor passionately kissed her once again, and then began working his way down her neck, and collarbone. Then abruptly he pulled away. His eyes turned back to normal, and he could hardly catch his breath. "FUCK! I...uh....sorry....I didn't hurt you did I? I...I don't know what came over me....sometimes it's hard for me to control myself when I'm around you."

Alastor then walked backwards, and leaned against the opposite wall. "What are we doing here? Us I mean." He asked as he rand his hand down his face, and sighed in frustration. "It was nice.....you know, the kiss....it was nice. It's been awhile since I've felt......like that, like this. Was it....good for you too?" He asked. "Where do we go from here? There's a million and one reasons why we shouldn't do.....whatever it is this is. Why does this have to be so damned confusing?!" He then let out another frustrated sigh.

"Hey! What's going on?"
Amara sighed when Alastor forced her to look at him, she didn't know what was going on, coming up with an answer could be easier said than done. She took a breath to answer him before she could even one word in he pulled her flush up against his chest, and his lips were against hers. The kiss was passionate easily taking her breath away, when they pulled apart Alastor's eyes were red, she had never seen him like that, then she was up against the wall. The initial impact with the surface caused her back to sting but she didn't mind, she was more focused on the feeling of Alastor's lips against hers, then the foreign feeling of the trail of kisses down her neck and along her collar bone made her breath catch in her throat, he pulled away from her abruptly his eyes back to normal, Amara leaned against the wall looking at Alastor.

"FUCK! I...uh....sorry....I didn't hurt you did I? I...I don't know what came over me....sometimes it's hard for me to control myself when I'm around you." There was still a slight sting in her back, it didn't exactly hurt though. "No, you didn't hurt me." Amara replied watching him as he leaned up against the opposite wall. "What are we doing here? Us I mean. It was nice.....you know, the kiss....it was nice. It's been awhile since I've felt......like that, like this. Was it....good for you too?" Amara giggled slightly at his question shaking her head at him. "It was perfect." It was perfect, but at the same time it was confusing, from the moment they are create they hate each other, Amara was confused as to how that could change to feelings such as this.

"Where do we go from here? There's a million and one reasons why we shouldn't do.....whatever it is this is. Why does this have to be so damned confusing?!" Amara looked down at the floor before moving over to Alastor gently resting her hand flat on his chest looking up at him. "You're over thinking it. We take it one day at a time, and wherever it goes it goes. I can think of a million and one reasons why we should do whatever it is this is." She smiled at him leaning up kissing him gently before pulling away again leaving her hand on his chest for a moment longer. "Now, you have recruits to train, and I have medics to train. I will see you later." With that she moved away from him continuing down the hallway.

Amara had curled up in one of Alastor's sweaters on his bed, she always beat him to what was his office but doubled as a room. Tonight he was extremely late which caused her some worry. Fairly tired she closed her eyes but kept herself from drifting to sleep, Amara opened her eyes again hearing the door open, she smiled seeing it was Alastor and moved so that she was sitting up.

"Long day?" She asked simply because he looked tired, and he never looked tired. The war was picking up pace though, they were getting groups of new recruits daily, usually more demons than angels which made it that much harder, Demons were always harder to break than the angels were. She shifted making room for Alastor to sit down beside her, she smiled at him again leaning against him when he sat down. "You look like you've had a long day."
